Speaker 1 (00:03):
What's up? It's lip service, I mean answer like.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Yee, I'm Gg Maguire, Jordie or and I am Mimi
Fouls Nammy Fout.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
By the way, congratulations, we just toasted you all around
me skincare products. Yes, you see the faces blowing you
the perfect model. Thank you to be doing something like this.
So this has been an amazing roll out too, because
I've been seeing you everywhere now, yes, and it feels
good to be everywhere for something like that's yours. Yes,
(00:34):
you said you have you felt the love I see
You've been doing pop up selling out, shipping out your
own products.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
How has that been for you?
Speaker 4 (00:41):
It's been amazing. When I first started out, it was
a little slow, but I think people really didn't you know, grasp,
Like I came from reality TV and like, oh now
I pivoted to skincare, and they just didn't get it.
So I had to just really keep pushing and pushing
and pushing, and I started doing pop up shops and
testing it out on people and talking about it, and
(01:04):
then it really picked up to the point where I
am completely sold out right now.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Okay, yeah, I got to restah, but I'm in the
process of restocking.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
We're on pre order, but at the moment, I'm completely
sold out. So it is such a blessing to be
able to do something that you, you know, put your heart
into and for it to just for you to win
and you see the results. It's amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
You know, You've always been an entrepreneur, even when we
were introduced to you, and so I think sometimes that
gets like lost in the sauce a little bit too. Yes,
So where did you get this entrepreneur mindset from?
Speaker 4 (01:43):
Well, I've been on my own since I was thirteen.
A lot of people don't know that. My mother joined
Scientology and they kicked me out at thirteen because I
wouldn't sign the billion year contract to work for the organization.
And I just had to figure it out my whole life.
I'm like, Okay, where am I going to sleep? What
am I going to eat? These are things that I
know that I need and I had to just figure
(02:04):
it out. And you know, being a bum wasn't an option, right,
So I've always just been even at a young age,
I had to figure it figure it out.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Were you gonna say something, Jordan.
Speaker 4 (02:17):
No, I was just gonna say. It's also in the
Capricorn spirit.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Oh yeah, yes, January there.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, and she's a Capricorn too, I.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
Went December cap Come on, this is a Gemini over
I'm a Gemini.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Okay, yeah, well you do you think that I want
to ask you this because you know, I saw your
Carlos King interview, of course, yes, and I saw you
talking about scientology and being on your own since thirteen,
and like you said, a lot of people didn't know that.
Was this something that previously you were hesitant to talk about?
Speaker 4 (02:47):
No, okay, I mean if it came up, I talked
about it. I wasn't really hesitant at all. I said,
you did Leah Remeni's yeah, after Math of Scientology. Yes,
Leah was was heavy, heavy into it right back then.
And she was more deep into it than I was,
because she actually signed the contract and she worked for them,
you know, for for years. And when they offered me
(03:10):
the contract, I was like.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
No, no contract valid when you're at that age too.
By the way, you can't even like sign a contract
at that age.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
It's not that right.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
I hold you to it. They hold you to it,
you know, because of their beliefs. So they hold you
to it, and they believe that in this life, you
live out this life and then when you're when your
body passes, you come back and you continue to live
it out in Yeah. So that's their belief. So you know,
(03:42):
belief is a is a powerful thing.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Very much. So you don't really fall to your mom.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
I do not. She was looking and always searching for
something to be a part of and belong to and
find herself. I realized this now. Back then I was like,
you know what I'm saying. I was angry. I was angry, angry.
But now that I'm older, I understand that she was
looking to be a part of something and she found
(04:07):
it in scientology and she literally stayed there till she died. Wow,
twenty eight years.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
I wonder what effect this had on you and like
relationship decisions later in life, if you now that you
can get good question, because I have to think, like
maybe there's some like where maybe you felt abandoned, because
I know sometimes we would be watching you like mem
you could do so much better, Like that's really what.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
The ongoing thing was, Like, Yes, leave him, like.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Maake the fuck up.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
At the TV, Like what the fuck are you doing?
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Like, girl, you got so much going for you and
so what would you say in hindsight when you think
about relationships and your relationship with your mom and what
you went through from a young age, how do you
think that affected decisions that you made big time.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
I was a little girl lost. I was so long,
to be honest with you, I was put out at thirteen.
But my mother really stopped giving me parental guidance at
around eight nine years old. Wow. When she joined she
was constantly working for them. I saw my mother two
hours out of the day, which was a lot of
(05:18):
her family time, and that was it. Other than that
she was working or whatever her duties were with the church.
So I was just like running around. I was a nomad.
So I had no guidance, no parental supervision, no nothing.
So I really didn't have anybody to teach me right
from wrong. This is the things you do. These are
(05:39):
the things you don't do, you know, this is you know.
As far as relationships goes with friends, boyfriends, any.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Of that abandonment, I'm sure that has said.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Oh my god, it all played a part in my
everyday life as an adult. And so when you see
me making these horrible decisions and self doubt and all
of these other things. That was a major part of it.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
They did a whole compilation of how I'm bothered you
would be during fights?
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Did you see?
Speaker 5 (06:10):
You know?
Speaker 3 (06:12):
It's so funny because every time there's a fighter going down,
people around.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
You and you're like, okay. So my thing was this,
this is not my business. Why am I jumping into
other people's business? I have nothing to do with this?
Am I jumping in your ship? Or And even the
producers like jump in it? And I'm like what And
(06:39):
I'm gonna eat this fucking absolutely, And I think ultimately
that's what, you know, got me off the show because
I wasn't willing to just be so confrontational.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
They wanted to, Yeah, they.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Wanted to drama.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
The pay cut at one. We're gonna pay you last
if you're an not gonna have no drama, yes, And
you were like.
Speaker 4 (07:02):
Oh well yeah, I'm like okay, I'll take it. I
got to take the peica because I'm not I'm not fighting.
And I remember when my contract was over it. Mind
you guys, I was contracted for nine years out the gate.
When I first started loving hip hop, it was nine
years and I didn't I wasn't even aware of what
(07:22):
I was signing until three years in when I had
a lawyer, an attorney that that really favored me and
explained to me, oh, you have six more years of
this whoa And I was like what he was like, yeah,
this little word your options means more years. My gosh.
So I didn't know, you know, I was unaware that
it was that long. But when my contract was up,
(07:46):
they were like, oh, yeah, you have come back, but
you have to find more drama. And I'm like, what
I said, haven't I given you, guys? I have given
you everything, everything, everything you have seen it all from
the root of titude, right.
Speaker 1 (08:02):
I don't have anything else you guys.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
And so I was like, you know what, I'm good.
I was watching the Carlos interview and I liked how
you said because I did a little bit of reality
TV as well, and I related to so much when
you were like, you know, you be chilling, you be calm,
you be calm, and then finally they triggered you to
the point where you'd snap and then that's all you see.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeh got it?
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Yeah, yeah, got it. And they knew every time how
to get me. They they just it was like a science.
They figured it out, and so I became I was
stuck in that box. I was the angry black woman,
you know I was. But all of the time when
I was sensible and I was, you know, making sense
and having reasoning, all didn't make it. Oh, they didn't
(08:47):
give up.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
They didn't make it.
Speaker 4 (08:48):
I want to see that. Nobody was to see you
making sense. We want to see you spash the fuck out.
We don't want to see you crash out. We want
to see you. That what they wanted, and finally every
time I gave it to him.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
It's interesting because I feel like even you know, Jocelyn
recently was talking about like not doing cocaine anymore and
how it's helped her so much, like and that part
of her life just being in the past. How do
you guys relate to each other now? Just I see
your daughters get along with each other, You encourage them
to spend time together. How did you two manage to
(09:25):
or have you no?
Speaker 4 (09:26):
No, okay, no, the kids they have their phones and
they reach out to each other. But her and I
we don't. We have we don't have a relationship.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Would you be willing to want to have because I
feel like she's in a different space too, just from
what she's saying. But y'all had a lot happen, so
I understand that too.
Speaker 4 (09:44):
So this is the thing. What you say and your
actions are two different things, right, So what she says okay,
but her actions, even on her show are two different things.
She's still when I see her clips or whatever, she's
(10:04):
still that same person that I remember when I was
in her space. And so to me, you could say whatever,
but your actions show what it really is, and.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
It's not I guess it's not necessary either.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
It's not like the girls are young and yeah, you
know you're doing sixteen now, Yeah, she's sixteen.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
I can't believe she's sixteen.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
And she's so amazing. She's so amazing, and I'm not
I gotta to my horn for a second, because that
little girl is respectful, she's smart, she's she's all the things.
Do you think that.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
The relationship that you had with your mother when you
were younger impacted the relationship that you had with her
in a way where you made sure that you instilled
things in her that you didn't get from your mother.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Absolutely? Yeah, absolutely. I wanted her to have and know
and receive everything that I didn't get and have and receive,
And I might be doing her disservice. I really might.
I think that because I feel like she hasn't been
through anything. She's sixteen and she hasn't been through anything.
(11:18):
So now when things come up, she's like, oh my god,
and it devastates her. So I'm like, am I doing
her a disservice? She's too protection, it's too protecting. So
now I'm like, oh shit, I need to find the balance,
find a balance.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
But what can you do?
Speaker 5 (11:36):
I know?
Speaker 4 (11:38):
So I got a story. So she had a situation
at school with some friends. And I'm not going to
get into the situation. But her decision was do I
leave these people alone? Or do I continue hanging out
with these people that did something to me? And I said,
(12:01):
as your mom, and this was my advice to her,
as your mom. Ultimately, I can tell you what to do,
but I can't make you do anything. The decision is yours.
You have to choose whether you want someone to treat
you poorly and you keep being around them or not. Okay,
And I said, and if you don't choose to leave
it alone, just know that later on down the line,
(12:24):
that person will continue to do things to you. So
we will be having this conversation again and it's going
to continue to hurt. So I have to give it
to her like that, and that's how I talk to her.
I don't sugarcoat anything for my daughter. I can't, especially
in this time in which we live. It's so much.
You can't sugarcoat anything for these because I tell her
(12:47):
straight up this what the fuck it is. I'm sorry
if you don't like what I'm saying to you. And
she's sensitive. She's sensitive, she's she's like, and I'm like, well,
this is what it is. I can lead you to
the water, but I cannot make you drink the water.
I'm gonna tell you what it is. I'm gonna lay
(13:07):
everything on the table. You have to decide how you
want to handle it. So what decisions did she make?
She's still teetering because okay, she's teetering. She's like, and
then she's like, but but those are my friends.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
But so I'm like, hey, advice is interesting because even
us as adult to do that still too, like, yes.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
There are times you've had to cut off friendships, but
it took you a while.
Speaker 4 (13:31):
And I gave her example. Yeah, I did, like, I said,
you remember such and such. I said, let me tell
you what this person did to me. She did this,
and I took her back and let her back in
my space. And then she did this, and I still
took her back and she did this. I said, every
time I let this person back in my space, she
(13:52):
did something else. And then it was on me to
be like, I'm done with this relationship. That's a thing
I'm telling you because I've done that.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
So many things, you know, I've been like, all right,
I have a conversation. Look, you did this, but if
you do it again, you know, and I'll give you
a chance. And then you do it again, and then
somehow you become the bad person and you're like yeah, and.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
Then they always spend the block and it's like, well,
if I was so bad, why here? Literally, So what
kind of conversations do you have with her about like
dating and relationships? And that leads into the whole dating thing.
Who lead you asked that? I said, if you accept
bad behavior from your friends and you allow them to
(14:36):
treat you badly and take them back when you start
dating boys, it's going to be ten times worse. You
cannot allow and accept bad behavior and be okay with it,
because that turns into disrespect, it turns into verbal abuse,
it turns into mental abuse, and then it turns into
physical abuse. The more you okay bad behavior, Oh he said,
(14:58):
he's sorry, Oh he said he did didn't mean it.
Oh he said this or that, and you are okay
with this, it lets him keep going. I said, at
some point you were going to have to stick up
for yourself and say absolutely.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Fuck not. Yeah, let's not waste time. Yeah, let's not
waste it. I wonder, Okay, now along those lines, yes,
I want.
Speaker 3 (15:18):
To know how then, because I'm sure that she has
seen some things between you and Stevie, her father, and
I wonder if it made her mad at him, because
I think you were such you were always like with
your daughter, very protective of her, but at the same time,
you don't want her to look at her dad and
be like, you know how kids are. We see our
(15:38):
mom not being treated the way that she should be treated,
and it can break a kid's heart.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
And so how did you maneuver that?
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Because she has to have seen some of that and
she has to feel a way about.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
It, I try to keep her as far away from
Love and Hip Hop as I possibly could. We did
not watch the show in her house, so if she
did see it, she must have been somewhere else. I
don't know where, but we did not watch Love and
Hip Hop in my house one because it put me
(16:10):
in a bad space and I couldn't watch it to
keep my peace. I was like, I can't watch this shit.
I promise you. I saw the first season and after
that I was like, absolutely not. Wow. Even our unions
they would have to be like, I don't know, I
don't know what's going on to even talk about what's happening.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Because she was on it too.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
She was on it. I would let her watch what
she filmed. If she filmed something, I would let her
watch that.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Other than that on the TV show, Like did she
ask questions? Because you know, also kids at school talk
and then watch it and I'm sure she'll hear something,
So how did like how do you do that? Did
she ever say like or was she ever mad at
her dad? Or was it something that she didn't tell you?
Speaker 4 (16:54):
Like it's her dad, yeah, no matter what that meant?
Does he's still her dad, right and she wants that
relationship with him, so whatever he does. It's always forgiven,
which sucks.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Hold them accountable.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
It's because right there she's learning bad behavior. Someone does
something to you, they're not honest with you, They say
they're going to come, they don't come, and you okay it,
you excuse it, which leads into what she's going through
right now with her friends.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
That's so interesting when we think about how that impacts
and then your relationship with your dad.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Did she know all?
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Like, okay, so a lot of this stuff, like you know,
I've seen interviews that you've been doing. So do you
share that with her, like finding out that your dad
wasn't your biological I share when she asks me, okay,
like we don't just I don't just be like, oh
this happened, you know, if she comes and asks and
I'll be completely.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
Forthright with her like yeah, you know, or if it
comes up in conversation, right, you know, yeah, we'll talk.
Speaker 3 (18:06):
About it because I'm sure you're probably also like I
am glad that her father is present in her life
or okay, maybe not as present as he could be.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
All right, take a sip. Let me get this.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
She let me ask you this, because there's been a
lot of conversations online. This is outside of all of
this drama, right about how much money you would need
to sit down? Right? So we've seen We saw Ayshadia
said between forty and fifty thousand a month. We saw
India Love said one hundred thousand. We saw Krisha Young
Miami said one hundred million worth is the kind of
(18:41):
person that.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
She wants to be with.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
So I wanted to ask you Chiming in this conversation.
First of all, when you first say, got with Stevie?
Where his fine? Did you feel like the finances were good?
But y'all doing good financially? Or who are you making
more than him?
Speaker 4 (19:00):
When when Stevie and I got together? Okay, Stevie and
I have been off, were off and on for many
many years. In the very beginning, Stevie was popping. Okay,
this was back when Joe to see and he was
doing his thing. And then later on down the line
it was dry as a bone. But I was still there,
(19:24):
right because I fucked with you like that. It didn't
matter if you had money or not. You know, I'm
not that, I'm not that type of person. I'm I'm
going to ride out with you regardless. So The money
was never a factor for me when it came to
my relationship with him or anybody for that matter. It
(19:44):
was it wasn't like you have to have a certain
amount of money for me to fuck with you. I've
never been that girl.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
But what about being able to match you? Does that
matter to you? And let's talk about it? Yeah, because
sometimes now go through that and you'd be like this, Sae.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
Yeah, now, yes, now I'm wiser, I'm smarter, I'm all
of all of the things. Absolutely at this stage of
my life, you, I would definitely need someone to be
where I am or above where I am, and I
need a I need a grown man. I'm not laying
(20:19):
around with potential, right, Potential.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Is been there, done that.
Speaker 4 (20:26):
That potential is for someone in their twenties. Oh he
has potential? Fuck that.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
Somebody got to die at fifty four years old.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
Potential is not going to cut it. If we can't
be here or here, then I'm not go go find
somebody else to.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Play with, right because I mean financially I think I agree. Yeah,
I got like I got to.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
I have a sixteen year old. We've got you know,
things already established. You know, have you ever felt like
you were taken care of. No, no, ever, never, I wish.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
That for you, because it's whole, like just the feeling
of knowing that, like it's.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
You know, yeah, I've never had a soft life.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
You need a soft life. It's not.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
I will say this. I met someone recently who didn't
offer me a soft life, but they offered me an
opportunity too, for me to do my own thing and
provided an avenue for me to do what it was
(21:44):
that I wanted to do with no questions, asked what
is it that you want to do? And they were facilitated.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
Okay, with no questions. That's knocked that first domino down right.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Yes, So it wasn't I'm gonna just give you whatever.
They were like, I'm gonna assist you on whatever it
is that you're trying to do. We're gonna make that happen,
and we're gonna make it happen. Hence here we go, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
You're scared to work. You know what I left today.
You have leaned in so much to the whole quote
unquote Molly the Maid.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Storyline, even doing promos. But I love that, Like it
feels like you have this and I think a lot
of times as women, we can all have this exterior
where you know, unbothered this this and that so but
you definitely have given us that like, Okay, I'm gonna
(22:49):
take this and turn it and flip it into something positive.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
As as everybody should. Yeah, turn your limits into lemonade,
turn your cherries and cherry pot whatever to turn the
pits in the I don't know what the fuck, squeeze
the juice out of it. It makes the butter, I
don't know, but turn it around because we have that option.
You know, if everything might look grim and damn and
but there's always a way to spin it and turn
(23:14):
it around if you if you sit just sit back
and think that's yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
Now, Jordy, I know you wanted to talk about regrets.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Yes, yes, please, let's do that.
Speaker 3 (23:23):
And I think a lot of people would say, I
don't have no to stop it, And that's a lie.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
That's a face, that's a bull face. I said that.
Speaker 3 (23:36):
You know how many things we could be like I
wish I wouldn't never.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
Man, I've ever met basically.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
Just about just about.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Yeah, I would take that back. I would have us
from that situation several times. Yes, I think, yeah, I
think most of the man I've dated, because you real,
really that's not maybe one.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
Okay, who is this one that you don't maybe like
one and a half?
Speaker 4 (24:00):
They were they were all.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Regret that. Okay, it's a tie, it's a tie.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
There was this Australian guy that I was with and
he played me so bad. We were in a whole
relationship for a year. He turned out he had a
girlfriend of four years and she found me. We had
a whole conversation, but she was actually the reason I
ended up being playmate in the year with Playboy. So
that kind of worked out.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
Okay, how did she do?
Speaker 3 (24:31):
So you can't regret that because it ended out, But
that one can't be Look I feel like because that
happened for a reason and it.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
Got Yeah, that's true. So that one worked out. The
other one was Lower east Side, mattress on the floor, jobless, jobless.
But I bet man the dick was dick ing. I
called him Daddy long leg because I was so traumatized
(25:06):
after that's what I went telebent for two years.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Yeah. Yeah, that was a mess, that one.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
He So you would take that bad, yes, immediately? Yes,
what about you with your biggest regret.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
I would have to say allowing a man to take
control over my life and finances, because when it was
all said and done and he snatched everything up from
under me, I had to like really re bounce back
like ground ball, and I was able to do so.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
So you wouldn't ex out that relationship, but just letting
the finances, Yes, I wouldn't ex out the relationship because
I grew a lot within that space and I learned
a lot from it. But there was a time where
I depended on him for everything, and when he decided
to turn off the switch, then yeah, it was bad
for me. But I learned right because we learned from
more mistakes. So I learned to never do that again.
(25:57):
I learned that it's better to be a rich bitch
than the one rich Nigga Okay, oh period, Okay.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
I'd rather make my own money, absolutely.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
And what's your biggest regret? The biggest one?
Speaker 4 (26:12):
Is that a trick question?
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Okay, that's your biggest regret?
Speaker 4 (26:15):
I know is My biggest regret would be Nico. Okay,
my biggest regret for you. My biggest regret in my
entire life would be that said I regret even meeting it.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
You think he was a rebound situation. You were vulner
like what happened to you?
Speaker 4 (26:34):
I was vulnerable? Okay, let's let's just rewind. Okay, that
was after the first season, right after I'm really getting
a real clear picture of what those two were doing
because I'm seeing it on Monday Night with the world Wow,
not even knowing, I'm seeing she.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Was just as artist.
Speaker 4 (27:01):
Oh okay allegedly, so yeah, that that whole situation was
a complete rebound and the joke was on me. It
was on me. This man was married. I didn't know
you brought your wife on the show. That's crazy, Like
was this your intention the whole fucking time?
Speaker 1 (27:22):
It's crazy. You know, the producers probably knew all about
those ahead of time.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
I mean, I was so naive and gullible and I'm
and I'm going to use those words, and I'm using
those words. I was very naive and gullible when it
came to reality TV because I'm thinking these people are
are my friends. I'm thinking they're they got my back. Oh,
(27:48):
this is my my producer. They're going you know, they they're.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
For me, They're going to smooth you.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Therefore, the show their allegiance is to the show, fuck you.
Their allegiance is to get the best ratings they can
get on that day TV period. And I didn't get that.
I don't know why I didn't get it. I just
never got it. I was so like, oh, friend, you
know what I'm saying. And so it just I was
(28:16):
the perfect candidate for love and hipuff right. It was perfect.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
And it was so early on.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
I was there. I was their wet fucking drink. Yeah,
I'll wear the show.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
They were like yes, I mean those are honestly, those
are the best stars on there, people that we didn't
know that are like coming on here and not from
that world and just kind of like, okay, what do
I need to do?
Speaker 4 (28:39):
And yeah, And for me, it was a job and
I'm like, oh yeah, I had pride at my job.
I showed up. I was on time. You know what
I'm saying. I was like, oh, it's you know, and
I'm getting railroaded daily. Yeah, daily. It was. It was heartbreaking,
like it really was.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
But you don't regret it.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
No, I don't regret doing it. I'll tell you why.
The show put me in a space to support my daughter.
It put me in a space to be in rooms
such as this. It put me in so many different
spaces to elevate myself. So no, I don't regret doing
the show. Even though it was traumatic and traumatizing and
(29:23):
all of these things, it still put me on a
different level to elevate my life.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
I think that people also find you very relatable and
likable as a human being, even though, like you said,
there were scenes where early on you felt you were gullible,
you felt you were naive, But you were never a
bad person, no, if that makes sense, Like, I don't
even know how to be that bad person that like,
And it didn't change you.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
No, it never changed you know why? Because I knew
who I was before I went on the show. I
was I was grown I was thirty something when I
joined the cast. I wasn't in my twenties. I was
grown ass, grown ass woman. So it didn't me being
on TV, didn't you know? That didn't sway me to
(30:11):
be a different person. Like I don't know even how.
They're like, oh, you need to be more do this
or that, and I'm like, that's not who I am.
I gotta be who I am. Still I'm on the show,
but I still have to be me. Yeah, I have
a question.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
So you mentioned that you didn't watch after the first season,
and you didn't allow even to watch. Now that she's
older and about to be grown, yes, would you let
her watch? Or if she came to you and said,
you know, I want to go back and revisit I
did see what was going on. How would you feel
about her wanting to go back and watch now at this.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
Stage, I'm sure she's because of the clips that are
everywhere because social media is so social, and her friends
and this and that and the third watch it. God,
I'm sure you've seen it. Anyway, if you've seen clips,
she knew about the tape before I told her. Yeah, yeah,
so I would be a fool to say, oh.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
No, you you're forbidden.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
You know.
Speaker 1 (31:14):
Would you like to have told her first?
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (31:17):
You thought you were telling her first.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
I did. You would have wanted to? I really would
have wanted to. And guess what, so many times I'm like,
okay's today?
Speaker 1 (31:25):
Yeah that's tough.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
Today.
Speaker 2 (31:28):
So how was that conversation when you decided to tell her?
What was that like? What was your thought process? And
being like okay?
Speaker 4 (31:35):
Now is the time I was like Okay, it's just
it's been too long. I don wanted to tell her before.
I thought someone else told her, right, So I'm like, okay,
I'm gearing up for it. Oh my god, Okay, okay.
So Eva, you know, I want to talk to you
about something, and you know, we sit down and she's.
Speaker 3 (31:55):
Like clocked it and.
Speaker 4 (32:02):
She was like, she was like, I know, I was
just waiting for you to say something.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
I was like, she probably wanted to give you a hug.
She did, right, she did, like, Mama, it's okay, it's okay,
and she.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Told me it was okay. Oh my god. It brought
me to tears because I'm like, all this time, I've
been holding this in, wanted to share, and she already knew,
but she was like, I just didn't know how to
come to you with it. So she was sitting with it,
and I felt bad for her because she had to
sit with that and deal with that and yeah, had
(32:40):
it already aired like it was.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Oh yeah, yeah yeah, but she was at the time. Yeah,
she was like, speaking of Young, she had a good
relationship with t Young.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
She did.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
She was nice.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
Now, look now I saw you told Carlos that you're
not bisexual.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
Or lesbian.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
Okay, so let me talk about it.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Yeah, because did you have another after that?
Speaker 3 (33:11):
No, you didn't date another woman after I kind of
felt like there was somebody in the house with you
that knows after tie.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
Yeah, no, absolutely not. Okay? Why why why was that?
I want and done?
Speaker 4 (33:26):
I had the experience and I think for me the proposal,
I don't know what clicked in me. Something something happened.
It was like this is not that's not it what
you're supposed to be doing. Like I don't know what
(33:48):
it was like. It was like instinctively like you're not
supposed to marry. I don't know what it was. And
I was like, oh shit, I can't do this. They
ate me like a ton of fucking bricks. I was
like I cannot. I'm sorry, like I have love for you,
like I think, but like no, and no, that was
(34:12):
it for me. When I say it was the weirdest thing. Guys.
I had been heterosexual my entire life, right, years and
years and years. Right. I thought women were cute, but
you know beautiful copy I oh my god, your legs
are meaning, oh my god, your hair, your skin, whatever, whatever,
(34:34):
But it was never like, oh my god, I want
to just jump your bones. It wasn't that type of thing.
So when where did this start? Let's let's go deep Arian, Okay,
my homegirl Arian. Hanging around Arian was the first time
that I was really introduced to being around lesbians. Yes, yes,
(34:59):
on it consistent. She is beautiful, beautiful girl. But she
was my friend. A lot of people thought Arian and
I were in a relationship or had some sort of relationship.
We absolutely did not. She was my friend, period done.
But I was always around and I would hear them talking.
So I'd be like asking her questions, well what about
this and what about that? And she was like, you're gay,
(35:26):
like cause you know, I'm like, I don't understand. I
didn't understand like sexual sex. I didn't get it. Like,
I'm like, I don't understand. What do y'all do?
Speaker 1 (35:35):
She was like, you're dating, you were doing a little research.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
I just don't understand what it's It's the two of
the same. How what the fuck I didn't get it?
Something doesn't go in. It's just try blanks.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Like I didn't get it too blank.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
And even having like this strap on and it's not
like you can feel it right that part.
Speaker 1 (36:01):
But I guess it's the power thing of you know.
Speaker 4 (36:03):
Okay, well, you know I didn't understand that until after
the fact. However, she would always tell me that I
was gallous, gay, whatever, whatever. But that's how I was
even being around you know, a lot of gay women,
a lot of gay women. Oh you know. So that's
where that whole thing even started, was.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Being around this associated yes, asking questions, getting answers, getting curious, okay,
And then.
Speaker 4 (36:30):
After the whole Nico situation, when I tell you I
was so done Stevie and then Nico, I was like,
I need a break.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
I need a break for you.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
And so that's that's you know, Yeah, that's where that
whole thing. But when I was with women, never desired
to be with a man, okay, never, not even on
a drunk night, was like, oh my god, I want
some ding. Never I was strictly that. And then the
moment I was done with that, I was done with it.
(37:07):
I don't know, it's like the it's compartment. Yes, when
the switch is off, it's the fuck off.
Speaker 3 (37:17):
You said, okay, now, but we said the strap on
the thing, you look this way and said until like
you went like that.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
Like I've never been a strap on girl. Okay me never,
it's never my like. I don't like the strap wasn't
my thing, Okay, I prefer not the strap. To be
honest with you, I prefer it was the intimacy that
I wanted. It wasn't if I'm like, if I'm gonna
do that, I might as well be with a man.
(37:44):
What the fuck is this plastic? It was weird, it
was uncomfortable. I don't know. Maybe the person I was
witch just wasn't doing it right. I don't know. This
strap was not my thing.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
I need a real like penis in the body and
the field that the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
I need that come along with in with a man.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
That strap that the what is it? The harness?
Speaker 1 (38:03):
Harness? So you tried it though, of course.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
Someone for seven years. Yeah, of course I tried it,
but I just could not get with it. I did
not like it. I was like it the plastic.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
It was just seven years, nine years.
Speaker 4 (38:23):
Wrong long, And ultimately I think that was the part
of our demise, because you know, that's what you know.
They liked that and like doing that, and I didn't
like that.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
Okay, you got to be sexually compatible?
Speaker 4 (38:38):
Yes, yeah, I didn't like that I didn't want it.
I didn't want no parts of it.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
You think that was the demise that it was part
of it? Sure?
Speaker 4 (38:45):
Okay, because when she cheated on me, that was the
reason she was like she wanted to strap. I can't
say nothing about it.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Oh wow, I didn't want Is it intimidating?
Speaker 4 (39:04):
Right?
Speaker 1 (39:04):
Is it intimidating now for the person you're dating?
Speaker 3 (39:07):
Because I saw Candy was talking about how like she
has a sex toy line. She has this and people
have this perception that she's gonna be like.
Speaker 1 (39:14):
This super free, you know, off the written.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Yeah, so what is that like? Like finding the one?
Because I know you're you and something new that I
know you, you're trying to you know, keep it private.
We're gonna find out at some point. But do you
feel like, like, how was that even, you know, them
knowing a lot of things about you without having even
known you because they didn't, Oh, they didn't know the
(39:38):
crazy thing okay, foreign they.
Speaker 4 (39:40):
Thought they thought I was a stripper because we would
go to different places like the grocery store, home depot
and things like that. People you like, my god, me, me,
oh my god, me, take a picture. Oh my god.
He was like so for a while, like after like
twelve times of this, He's like, wait a minute, motherfucker's tripper?
Why every because he would ask questions like did you
(40:04):
go to school here? And I'm like no.
Speaker 2 (40:07):
He was like, you know, asking he was trying to
figure out and I'm like, so, by process of location,
googled you because i mean, isn't that what we do?
Speaker 4 (40:20):
Yeah? He was he got to be a stripper. Wow,
And I was like, no, I'm not.
Speaker 5 (40:24):
A stripper, but yeah, straight stripper to bring it up, Okay,
So you know, I used to work at Magic City
and m HM and they have this uh Atlanta Hawks
game coming up in a couple of weeks where the
Hawks are partnering with Magic City for Magic City Monday
(40:45):
when they played the Orlando Magic I'm actually scheduled to
do an interview with t MC sports about it because
there's been praise and backlash, Like all of the responses
has been mixed.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
And there's an NBA player who was actually sent out
a letter to the NBA actually protesting the night, and
he's saying that it isn't a family friendly event, which
NBA games are known to be, and that it's disrespectful
to the women associated with the NBA that work within
the organization. So, somebody who lives in Atlanta, you know,
(41:18):
we all love Magic City. Atlanta loves the strip club.
It's a Atlanta se It's a cultural they're calling it
the Iconic cultural institution.
Speaker 6 (41:27):
Right.
Speaker 1 (41:28):
The food is amazing.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Right, They're actually going to have Limon pepper wings at
the stadium that night.
Speaker 4 (41:33):
Amazing.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
There's a special merch that's already on pre sale and
everything that's happening.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
Right.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
So, as a mother and as an at alien, right,
how do you feel about the backlash or the negative
concept that's being put along with this partnership.
Speaker 4 (41:52):
The thing is the NBA wants to hold themselves to
a higher standard. It's the thing there like, oh you know,
we're NBA wives or NBA whatever, you know, And they
don't want to associate themselves with those shrippers. They want
to make it out to be a bad thing. Magic
(42:12):
City is such a staple in Atlanta. Like you if
you've never been to Atlanta, you know about Magic City period.
Literally a documentary wries like you know about magic It's
the performance. It's the like when I tell you I
(42:33):
have had what yeah, what Magic City was like I
have left Magic City, like get distract. It was just like,
this is so much fun.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
It's a fun time the Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
So here's the thing that a lot of people aren't realizing.
And I am definitely going to make disappoint in my interview,
which will be out by the time this gets out.
So one of the owners of the eight Atlanta Hawks
is actually a woman by the name of Jamie Gertz.
She used to be an actress, and her and her
husband owned the Hawks. She also was the executive producer
(43:20):
of the Magic City documentary.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
That's on Stars right.
Speaker 2 (43:25):
She is also a very close family friend to the
Barney family, which is the owners of Magic City.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
So of course she's with the Ships.
Speaker 2 (43:32):
When it comes to doing a Magic City Monday at
the Atlanta. And then here's another thing. It's Monday. Your
kids should be in bed because I got school the
next day. Like, there's not going to be strippers coming
down to drumble Trot.
Speaker 1 (43:43):
And I'll tell you that right now. It's not going
to okay, isn't it like an Olympic sport.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
Now dances actually dancing, Yeah, pole dancing. Pole dancing has
been recognized in so many different ways over the years.
It's not not taboo, you know, it's not as taboo
as a used to be. Honestly, I think that the
people that are protesting it are overreacting. You could tell
those people that are not from Atlanta, that don't know
shrip culture that are just taking what they think they
(44:11):
know and they're running I'm talking about they're dragging it.
And it's just like, in my personal opinion and not
even being biased because I come from that world, but
it's like y'all doing too much.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
It's not that deep, relax enjoyed the ways.
Speaker 4 (44:22):
But it's the thing to do. It's the thing to do.
If somebody is saying, yes, let's do this, there's gonna
be these people over here that saying no.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
It's like when that comes with everything, would you go
back to reality TV.
Speaker 4 (44:37):
Like a love and hip hop show?
Speaker 3 (44:39):
I mean anything like it? Or if you did, what
would it be? So I am doing my own show
right now.
Speaker 4 (44:47):
I'm doing my own show right now. It's called Cleaning
Up My Life, Yes, and it's about the ups and
downs of everything that I've been through since Loving Hop
to current Okay, So, oh my gosh, what.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
Good get into that cleaning up.
Speaker 3 (45:05):
You know, wasn't it hard like after not being on
the show, because I'm sure there was a certain amount
of attention but also money appearances.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
After that, you got to think like what's next.
Speaker 4 (45:17):
Yeah, and if you let me tell you what my mistake,
my biggest mistake was, and for everybody and anybody that
wants to do reality TV, what you should do while
you're on this show. Make sure you set yourself up
for after the show, because when it's over, it's it's
over immediately. There's no residual income, there is nothing coming
(45:41):
your way, there's nobody knocking on your door. It's the
fuck over. So make sure you have something in the
bag and you have something set up that you have
to move forward, move forward with after your you know,
your situation, not even after while your on reality TV,
because that is going to push push whatever that you're
(46:04):
doing further. So that was my biggest mistake. When I
was on there, I was so engulfed in the current
and the current that I didn't set up myself for
the after.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
Yeah, but now you're good, Yes.
Speaker 3 (46:19):
Yes, listen, Oli, remy skin is what it is. No,
but I really appreciate you for coming through. You look
amazing too. I want to say, you're, like I told
you when we first started. Your face and your skin
is like the best advertisement. Thank you for ola Remy skincare.
It made me feel like, okay, let's get it together,
it says, And you know.
Speaker 4 (46:37):
I don't use any foundation. So when I have my
makeup artist is there, shout out to Tyres, to glam King,
shout out, I love you so much. Heat. When I
have them do my makeup, I'm like, don't put any
foundation on, right, just because clar blush and contour and
lit don't and lash I'm with you because I want
to show the skin and we see it and it's
(46:59):
glowing and the skin is skinning, and I'm about to
put in my pre order because.
Speaker 1 (47:05):
Okay, listen and I and it's.
Speaker 3 (47:07):
Probably also whatever else you got going on outside of that.
They got that skin glowing. But congratulations, we love that
for you can and we cannot wait to see you
cleaning up your life.
Speaker 4 (47:17):
Yes, real quick, let me. I just want to say
a little bit about the skincare line. I formulated it
for sensitive skinning. Eva and I both have ezema very
like in the wintertime, especially stuff would like irritate our skin.
We couldn't find a product that.
Speaker 1 (47:31):
My man got ezema, so I'm going to make sure.
Speaker 4 (47:34):
Yes, so you're I was looking for something that was
effective but gentle, that can you know, be good on
the skin if you have poriatis exzema, this product is
going to be for you. It hydrates, it soothes, and
my moisturiz Right here, this is the best kept secret.
It has an ingredient called palm kernel oil in it.
(47:55):
Have you guys ever heard of an African using sunscreen?
Ever heard of that an African in Africa? I don't
think so using sunscreen. They do not, and they're in
the hottest climate. Correct, Okay. They use palm kernel oil.
It's a seed that they use. They squeeze the seed,
they get the oil out. They use it on their skin.
(48:17):
Their skin is radiant, it's beautiful. They don't have any
pores like their their face. Their skin is Yes, I
put it in my moisturizer. So this is what sets
my stuff. Just so, this ingredient right here is when
I tell you, oh, I'm excited. It's a sun barrier.
It's hydrating, it's moisturizing, it's going to give you that glow.
Speaker 3 (48:41):
I'm excited, and I do want to say it's also
good for us to have the sun on our skin,
so you don't want to block it necessarily. Yeah, that
is one of the reasons why black women have fibroids
the way that we do. And just an important conversation
says Okay.
Speaker 4 (48:57):
Yes, just it's a three steps to stem and it's
super easy.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
And there's a toner. Right, there's cleanser. I need a.
Speaker 4 (49:05):
Cleanser, toner moisturizer. The toner you can use on with
your makeup. You can spray it on your face before
your makeup, and after you put your makeup on, you
spray it on after Okay, fantastic.
Speaker 1 (49:17):
Yeah, one thing you gotta do is take care of
your skin. Bab absolutely, you know. I'm all about it.
Were with all of us, all of us. I was
at before.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
I was like, I hope she brings some moisturizer.
Speaker 1 (49:28):
She said, I need that moisturizer. Fantastic For people pre ordering,
is there a roundabout time when they'll get there?
Speaker 4 (49:36):
So round about a round about a week and a half.
Tomiskin dot com, Oh, hel you are e m I
and that's your real name, that's my real name. Okay, yes,
I named it after myself all around. I'm literally now
Raimiskin dot com. Go get your pre orders. You're gonna
(50:00):
the product. I've had so many people, just some of
the testimonials, yes, ma'am, some of the testimonials. Like I
had one woman she was like, she ordered it, she
didn't really use it. And then a couple of weeks
later she came home her daughter. She was like, God,
your skin is amazing. You're glowing. What are you doing?
She was like, that stuff you ordered that you just
(50:21):
side I took using that Olrami skin that you order
