After last night’s episodes of “The Golden Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise,” the emotions across Bachelor Nation are at an all-time high, and Joe and Serena are ready to discuss it all.

On “The Golden Bachelor,” Gerry made his toughest eliminations yet, and Joe and Serena did not see it coming. They also discuss their enjoyment in seeing a new side of Faith, a subtle moment of shade from Leslie, and why Gerry was right not to give out a rose during the group date. Plus, is “You’re my girl” the Golden version of “I love you”?

Then, things are as wild as ever in “Paradise,” and Joe and Serena are fully invested in it all. As they break down last night’s episode of “Bachelor in Paradise,” they discuss how things would have been different if Davia had come down the night of the Rose Ceremony instead of Sam P., why Brayden might actually be a great match for Rachel, and why, if anyone was to have a birthday in “Paradise,” they are SO excited it’s Kat.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, everyone, welcome to Happy Hour. I'm Joe and I'm Serena,
and we are happy to be back. We have a
great week for you. We're going to recap Golden, We're
going to which a lot went down in Golden. We're
going to recap Paradise. I personally feel like Paradise is
really picking up now. Excited to talk about that. We
have a special guest, two special guests coming on this week.

(00:26):
We have Tanner from Bachelor and Paradise, who is heavily
involved in the cat drama. And then we have Sondra
from Golden Bachelor, who is I would just say I
think she's delightful.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Yeah, it was so great chatting with Sandra. It was
sad to see her go home this week, but we
will hopefully see her at the Golden Bachelor Woman tell
All in a few weeks, which will be exciting. And
I feel like this was a really good three hours
of television this week. Both episodes were really strong.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah. I think so too. My only issue with Sondra
is she's a huge and a fault fan in her
she doesn't have a favorite team all thirty two. I
feel like you need to pick a team.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
I feel like that's right in line with when people
would ask me when I was younger who my favorite
team was, which just full disclaimer, I'm not a sports fan,
so winning whoever was winning, I would say, who's winning?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
They're my favorite?

Speaker 1 (01:21):
You are a true fair weather fan.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I am. Maybe one day I'll pick a team.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
We'll see.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
I'm I'll be a Chicago Cubs fan for you.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Yeah you are. And I'm a Toronto I'm a Toronto
Jays fan. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Wow. And that's marriage.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Everyone here, you go?

Speaker 3 (01:37):
All right? Should we get into it?

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Yeah? I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
All right.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Let's start off with Golden Bachelor. We are on episode five.
We have six women left, which I feel like they
have dwindled.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Down so fast.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I went quick like, we are only halfway through the
season and we're already down to six women.

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Which is crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
I was looking at the remaining six and I'm just like, wow.
I feel like I really do feel like it was
like yes yesterday where this thing first kicked off and
everyone was going crazy that they this is like their
new favorite show, and now here we are I.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Know, but people are still loving it.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
I still have people telling me like, oh my gosh,
I'm obsessed with Golden Bachelor, which oh yeah, is totally understandable.
So we have Faith, Leslie, Ellen, Teresa, Susan, and Sondra left.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Who did you think was getting that one on one
date this week?

Speaker 1 (02:23):
I you were pretty convinced it was Faith, and I
wasn't really going to argue with you there. I thought
it could have been faith. Maybe Leslie, Oh you thought
you might get a back to back maybe? Oh yeah, no,
maybe Teresa. Maybe I thought Teresa was going to get
another one second one.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Yeah, yeah, I feel like I always fall for the
oh my god, someone's like, I never guess that someone's
going to get a second one on one tape.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Also, I was waiting maybe he was going to choose
like a Susan for the one on one and then
potentially send her home.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
We didn't see him send anyone home on a one
on one the season. We didn't see a two on one.
I feel like it's just a shorter amount of time.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
So how do we not get it too? On Kathy
and Kathy and Tresa? Yeah, I know, I feel.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Like I don't want to see a two on one.
I get the Golden Girl, I.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Do, I do?

Speaker 1 (03:14):
And so does everyone else.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
All right, well, let's pitch it for next season if
there is one, which I very much hope there will be.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
So Faith gets the one on one.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
She does a helicopter ride and they land on a
yacht and she's afraid of heights, so it's a little
like overcoming her fear moment, which is cute, and then
they land on this beautiful boat in the middle of
the sea. I feel like this is like the Bachelor date,
Like if you can only pit one date that represents
the franchise, it's the helicopter yacht date, in my opinion,

(03:43):
or the like.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
The yachts. I feel like the yachts New I feel
like landing on a yacht, being on a yacht. I
think that's I think their their budget increased for Golden
and they were able to pick up a yacht because
usually it's a helicopter ride or a yacht yeah yeah,
and usually it's not even like this was a serious yacht.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
It was stunning.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
They were like sitting in like a lounge area having champagne,
and I love.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
The clip back to the women in the house and
Leslie's like breaking down like what she wants on a
date and it's basically a yacht date. And then here
we see and Susan.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Susan was like, maybe we'll go on a yacht for
this week, and that's what Faith got. Leslie is having
probably the hardest time out of all the women, it
seems like, with jealousy and fighting off insecurities and just
like being in this open relationship.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Yeah, I think she I think she's really into Gary.
And then I think she also, yeah, is having a
hard time. So it's a combination of both, and I
don't know, it seems like a slippery slow.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
I also feel like Leslie, like if we're comparing Leslie
and Allen, like I think they're both really into Gary,
but Ellen seems to be a little more like not
walls up, but just like cautious with her emotions, whereas
Leslie is like all in, She's feeling all the feels,
like really deep.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
I feel like Ellen is more okay with other women
having a connection with Gary, where Leslie isn't.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Leslie's like I'm ready to be the only one, Like
I'm ready to cut this loose and it just beat
me and Gary.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
But back to the to the time on the yacht
with Faith and Gary, I thought it was interesting. Faith.
This story is interesting because she basically opens up about
being homeless as a teenager. She said she didn't have
a mother and father, and she's very happy where her

(05:35):
life is now, but she doesn't have like the your
stereotypical childhood child.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Yeah, I know I wanted Gary, and maybe he did
and we just didn't see it. But I wanted him
to ask more questions about that, and you know, maybe
he was also just trying to respect her privacy. But
I would love to get her on the podcast and
just get the chance to learn more about that or
I know, but it was already on and now we
know more, and I would just love the chance to

(06:02):
learn more about how that's kind of shaped who she
is today, because it's definitely a challenging upbringing.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
It sounds like, yeah, and she and I think, I
want to say, I think Susan made a comment about
it as well. But Faith seems to be someone who's
content with kind of like living where she lives kind
of off like in the mountains with her horses, by herself,
and is comfortable in that in that life. But I

(06:29):
think we're starting I think I thought on that date,
you're seeing her open up and.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Like she's opening up to like love, but it also
seems like she's opening up to the possibility of like
a different future and a different.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Lifestyle than what she saw of her and like letting
somebody else into her life. Yeah, which I feel like
she's probably been closed off to that idea for quite
some time.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Definitely just on based on what we know about her
at this point. So yeah, definitely a big vulnerable moment
from Faith, and Gary says at the end of the day,
you know, he comforts her and they connect over it,
and he says he thinks that Faith could be the one, which.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Is a big thing.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
That's the first time we've heard him kind of disclose
that about anyone.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
But he is also he's also been saying, Leslie, you're
my girl.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Well he says that later on in the episode.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Okay, yeah, and then she comes back from the group date.
She sits down with the women and they have a
little girl chat, and you can tell Leslie's in her
feels because Faith is like, she's she's considerate. She's like,
I don't even know if you guys want to know
what I did, Like it was so incredible. I don't
want to upset anyone, but you could tell she's excited.
The women are excited for her and.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Leslie. I think Leslie is excited for her, but like
she's at the point where she's like, it's hard to
stay excited for the other women at this point in
the show. It really is. I get I like her,
I'm happy for you, but I'd rather that be me
and you not here.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
I think Leslie's feelings are valid, I think, and I
think it makes sense that she has She's ends up
getting her roles and it's still there because she has
a real connection with Gary opposed to someone like Susan,
who there's something there, but Susan's seems to be okay.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Like yeah, she knows her connection isn't where some of
the other women's connections are, especially because she's' not that
one on one date yet. But Leslie made a comment
that like, you know, your your date sounded great, but
like I'm glad that I got my date because it
was more like Gary and his element and like something
we would do in real life versus a fantasy. That's
what she said, a little bit of a shady comment,

(08:36):
a little shade thrown on on fase date from Leslie.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
But then we go on to the group date.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
Faith has the row so we know she's going to
hometown that's locked in, and the group date is at
the Santa Monica Pier, which is so funny because Joe
and I just played this little game that's like, what
are the top five.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Mostly Yeah, I went on I went on a podcast
this week, and what what he does is his name's Jiggy.
He's a comedian, and what he does is he does
like top five and like top five selling pasta sauces
are top five dates, and one of the top five
dates is an amusement party or.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
A carnival, and I was like, there's no way that's
a top five date, Like, I don't know anyone that's
been on the date at a carnival. And then we
go home and we turn on this episode and they're
all at the pier, but Teresa says to Gary, you know,
we see someone on one time with each of them, Susan,
Sondra and him talk about missing the wedding again, and
then Teresa tells Gary she's falling in love with him,

(09:37):
which I think is that the.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Second person that said that. Yeah, Ellen was the first.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Ellen Teresa, Teresa's Teresa is like her or not like her.
She is she's going all in. Oh yeah, she's she
knows she's from what I heard, she's some of that
watched the show and watches the show, and I feel
like Teresa has picked up on how fast it moves.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
She's moving this race relationship along like she is pushing
it forward. She's not losing momentum, and like, I think
that's a good thing in this environment. Yeah, because it
does move fast, so you kind of have to move
with that pace or it's hard to barrest the relationship.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Yeah, you kind of you have to. And Teresa's doing that, and.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
I think she feels it. I think it's genuine.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Yeah. I don't think it's fake. I just think she
I think.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
She's able to move at this pace like she's able
to you know, some people, I feel like I'm on
the show and it's just like this is just too
fast for what I'm comfortable with. And I don't see
any ounce of that in Teresa. She's like, I'm ready
for that, which I.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Get a little bit of that with faith.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
With faith, Oh you do, Oh, you get a little
bit of the hesitantness. Yes, I agree. I agree. Leslie
opens up to Gary about having been cheated on in
the past, and I feel like she's kind of hinted
about this a little bit with her saying lot.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yeah, she said a lot.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
And I feel like she said Gary is the best
guy she's ever been with, the the nicest guy, like
a guy that she deserves.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
And he's dating multiple women, which has gotta be extremely.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Difficult, probably kind of triggering for her. It has been
cheated on, which kind of probably also which.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Now validates even more of having.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Such a hard time. Yeah, sorry, I just finished three
of your sentences.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Please easier of me.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
So.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Leslie also tells Gary, I'm falling in love with you.
They hug, they kiss, and you see, Gary whispered, Leslie,
you're my girl.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Fucking Gary, better be careful, Better be careful. Gary is
throwing around a lot of your my girl.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
You're gonna say she better be your freaking girl, because
that statement. If if I'm in leslie suit shoes, I'm like,
oh great, so rings on my finger, I'm leaving here
with this man.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
Let me start prepping some closet space for him in
my home.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Yeah, yeah, it's a bold statement, and it's definitely telling
because you know, Faith got that one one the rose,
and he said she could be the one. And now
Leslie you've got the you're my girl. So for me,
that makes them the two two front runners in this Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
And then and then Teresa.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Teresa's Teresa is right there with them, but we haven't
I feel like seen Teresa get the same validation from
Gary that Leslie and Faith have. You're right, that's we
haven't seen it. Maybe maybe he's done it, but we
haven't seen it.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
I was just thinking, but no, you are right. Well.
The only thing I will say is the first time
we seen Gary angry was when Teresa told him about
the way Cathy spoke to her.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yeah, and he was mad, Like he definitely had an
emotional reaction to that.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
So I think he really likes Teresa.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
I do so do.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
I think they're all up there.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
I'm just waiting for us to see that from him
for Teresa, the same way with the other women.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Ellen.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
It's really just a love fast in this episode because
then Ellen says, I'm falling in love, and I think
Ellen might even be almost in love with Gary at
this point because we've already seen her say IM falling
in love. I think she might be in love with him,
and she said, you know, she's very scared of losing him.
There's definitely a lot of fear with Ellen in this process.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
We need to look back and see who our four was,
because I don't remember who I said before.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Next week, I'm going to check who we said our
final four was and we can see how we did.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
I feel like my picker is not what it used
to be because I was really really pretty sure that
Ellen Ellen was potentially it.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
I think I said Faith was it after the first episode,
and then I think I said Ellen at one point too.
Those were kind of the top two that I thought, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
I really thought he was into Ellen. But after this,
I mean, obviously she goes home, but even like watching
them together this episode, I was like, Okay, I was
I was off. Yes, he's he's much more into other
other women.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Definitely, but that also you know, in the beginning, it
could be one thing and then things change, right as
he spends more time with the women. Yeah, so Gary
didn't end up giving it a rose on the group date.
He was like, I need more time, got to sleep

(14:37):
on it, which I actually had no idea who was
going to get that rose? And I think it's maybe
a good thing that he didn't give it out because
I feel like so many women were vulnerable on that date.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
It would have been kind of hard to give out
a rose. I don't know who he would have done.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
And then the rose ceremony happens and we find out
only three people are going to hometowns, which I was shocked.

Speaker 3 (14:57):
The women seem shocked too. I don't think they knew that.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Yeah, So then who goes home? Soothe it?

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Susan, Susan and Allen.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
If there was a fourth rows given to go to hometowns,
who out of those three women do you think gets it?

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Allan? So do I I think definitely.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
I think, especially the way it ended with he said
goodbye to Susan and Sondra, but he walked out Allen
and sat down and had a conversation with her. And
I just think that their relationship, I mean, she had
a one on one day. I think the relationship have
progressed a lot further. Yeah, and her feelings were really
really strong for him.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
Yeah. So now are we going to get We're gonna
get fantasy suites, right.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
Yeah, Next week, We've got hometowns coming up with these
three beautiful ladies, and then we're gonna get some fantasy suites.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Man, Gary, how do you not take Susan into fantasy suites? Joe?
After all, all are her great lines like you gotta
you gotta bring her there now. Yeah, I don't know
who he's gonna he's gonna pick, but I'm excited.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
I don't know either.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
I've really fought to not find out how the season ends,
and so far, I literally I don't know anything.

Speaker 3 (16:07):
So every week is just a total surprise for me.

Speaker 1 (16:09):
I don't know. I think. I think right now I'm
leaning towards Leslie.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Being the one.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, for some reason, I'm leaning Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
My issue with Faith is that she got the one
on or she got the first impression Rose, and they
seem to have such a strong connection, but then the
next time we see them together was like this episode.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
I know, So I've been missing a lot of their relationship. Yeah,
I know. Well we'll see.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
I think it's going to be an exciting few episodes
to come.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
So we get into let's get into Bachelor and Paradise
our show. Let's do it thisisode a.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Good episode of the last two episodes have been really good.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Last two have been really good. This has been my
favorite yet.

Speaker 3 (16:58):
I agree.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
So let's see what do I got? What we got? First?
First thing we see really is hot Sean and Aaron
s are probably going home.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
Yeah, they're sitting there like, we need a miracle, we
need a sign, we need something to save our asses.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
Hair comes a miracle. Bachelor in Paradise, Canada, we get
a girl down day night of the Rose ceremony, cocktail party,
Samp comes down, hot Sean gets his chance. Everyone everyone
goes for her, tries talking to her, convincing her. She

(17:40):
doesn't really I mean, in her defense, she gives she
could basically give the rose, and she's not gonna find
the connection.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Oh you mean, like you're not going to find like
your person in that amount of time Because she's coming
down it's probably super late at night. Everyone that is
going after her is just people that are like desperate
for a rose. Let's call it what it is, because
we've got the rose ceremony that night, and I just
feel like it's not the right night for her to
be able to make a solid connection.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
I personally feel like this was the wrong move.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
I mean it's also hard because like I would have
loved to know if she had people she was interested
in coming down, do you know what I mean, Like
it would have been more interesting. I feel like if
she came down was like, yeah, like I actually am
really interested in Aaron ass or I'm really interested in Sean.
But I feel like she came down just kind of
blank slate and it was like, here's the four guys
that are available, just pick which one.

Speaker 1 (18:32):
I think it would have been much. I think it
would have been better if if they would have sent
Davia down, because we do see Davia come down the
next morning, and I know Davia is there for Tanner
coming down with a daycard, but still sending her in
that night, you would have seen a lot of guys
scramble and potentially like things would have went things could

(18:55):
have went haywire that night if Davia came down.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Yeah, I know what you're saying, because you know, we
know that there was a couple of guys that had
Davy on their list of girls they wanted to meet.
And if they sent her down that night, I mean Tanner,
she was interested in Tanner, she definitely would have pulled him.
She probably would have had to give her rose to
like one of the other guys, because Kat would have
given her rose to Tanner maybe, and then or Davia
gives he rose Tanner whoever's first up to the podium yea,

(19:18):
and then the next day if they gave Davi a
date card.

Speaker 3 (19:21):
But I don't know either way.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
It was dramatic both ways, but that that would have
been an interesting move.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Okay, so we see, we get we get to the
row ceremonial. Just break it down. Rachel goes, Rachel gives
her rose to Brandon. Eliza chooses Aaron B.

Speaker 3 (19:35):
Yep, good move, Eliza, good move.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
I think they have a real connection. I you know,
John B. It seems just like a genuine lead.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
Yeah, we love his girl was on the beach, to
be honest.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
And unfortunately, yeah for him, like maybe if he would
have came down original cast.

Speaker 2 (19:55):
Yeah, it's always hard when you're coming down later on
because it's like it's just a matter of if someone
you're interested in is available or still there.

Speaker 1 (20:03):
Olivia chooses John Henry over Peter.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
I know, I wasn't totally surprised about that, but I
wasn't totally sure what she was going to do either.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
Yeah, Mercedes chooses Tyler one Rose left, and sam Pe
chooses Peter. I wish you. I actually I wasn't upset
about this. I wanted her to choose Shod just because
I think Sead makes her great TV. And I still
wanted him out of the beach, yeah, to potentially shoot

(20:34):
another shot at Jess.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
He does bring a lot to the show.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
He brings more to the show than Peter does, just
because he's a very big personality and he's all over
the place on that beach. But we did say goodbye
to Sean, Will and Aaron s which is sad, but
it was just their time to go.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
Yeah, and unfortunately for Aarons, it may have just been
better if he would have left with Sam, the original
Sam and just yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
But I mean he could still reach out to her
when she is I feel like I actually would love
to know if he did reach out.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
To her after she left.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
How about how about Will? We do have to talk
about Will for a quick second.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
Well, well, he had a tough time. He had a
really rough go in Paradise.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
It was not Yeah, I mean he was hopping around
just against his will, you know, like it was like
first it was Olivia, then it was Kylie, then it
was Mercedes, then it was just lonely.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Well, yeah, you said it perfectly against his will, Like
we usually see one guy who doesn't go that far
on their season come down, hop around and screw things up,
hop around on their own, but truly Will.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
No, he was like he was into Olivia, then Kylie
got asked on the date. He was like all in
on Kylie, then she wasn't in, then he was all
in on Merceides was like crying on her shoulder, and
then she went on a date with someone else. Like
he just couldn't stick the landing. Unfortunately, you think Will
goes back on Maybe I wouldn't be surprised to see
him again. I think he's a good fit for Paradise.

Speaker 1 (22:09):
I think Will Will's will to me is ready for
a relationship, and I think a lot of women are
going to see that and slide into his DMS.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
And I don't think you don't call me single by
next year.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah, I don't think it's going to take much to
to lockdown Willie boy. So I think he's going to
be I would bet Will's probably engaged by paradise.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Really Yeah, that's crazy. That's a crazy prediction. But maybe.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Okay, so now we got whitch love. When this linees up,
it's always great. It's Cat's birthday.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Of all the people that could have had a birthday
on this beach, I'm so happy it's Katy because she
is clearly a big birthday gal and she's going to
make the most of it.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
And unfortunately she's got.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
Not a lot to work with because she's got a
bad day ahead of her.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Oh yeah, we'll get into that because that is the
that's the fun part of the episode. We'll cut to
Rachel gets stay card. Saw that come in? She asked Brayden.
They go on opiniona day. They they're cute together.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
They may actually have a genuine connection, Like you can
really see it. Like I don't know how far it
goes or how romantic it is, but I know we
saw them at Charity's finale. Yeah, and they were sitting
next to each other, and like I was not able
to tell if there was like a romantic relationship or
if it was a friendship or what, but they definitely
were laughing the whole time. Dance they were dancing and

(23:32):
they were like having a really good time. Rachel seemed
really happy. Brandon is just like a ball of energy.
He was having fun. So there's without a doubt.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
A connection between them.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
Yeah, and Rachel just seemed like so happy on this date,
Like it was really nice to see her on a date,
just having a ton of fun.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
You think it gets serious.

Speaker 3 (23:52):
I think it could get serious. I would actually like
it to get serious.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Too, because it doesn't feel super forced, and it feels
like a good fit her type too, like Rachel loves
the whole like earrings, pain, girl's tats, all that vibe.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
They look good together like Rachel and hat Seawan didn't
look good again.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Her and Braiden definitely just feel like a better fit.

Speaker 1 (24:13):
Yeah, Okay, so now.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
She seems super into him, though I'm curious to see
if he is into her because they didn't show as
much of his expression his sorry not his expression his
interviews about her.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Yeah. See, I think it's hard to tell when Braiden's
really into someone, because, like you said, he's a ball
of energy and he's always going to be a good time.
So even if Braiden isn't that into you, I think
he's gonna go on a date and it's still gonna
You're still gonna have a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
Yes, I agree.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
It's not like he's just charismatic and like personable and
high energy across the board. So it's harder to differentiate
when it's just like, yeah, I like this person, but
I'm just having the best time, and like, yeah, I'm
really into this person and I'm just having the best time.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Yep. Okay, So Davia is here. Davia comes down, which
is great. All the girls are freaking out.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
She's stunning.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Not that it looked bad before, but she looks good.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
Yeah, she looks insane.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Something something I said to you. She came down, and
she was. She's very confident.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Very confident.

Speaker 2 (25:18):
Yeah, not obnoxious, but like you could just tell the
way she's like greeting everybody. She's comfortable, like speaking in
front of everyone.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah, she's just like, yeah, she's she's doing pretty well.
She grabs Tanner first, Cats instantly freaking out and they talk.
Tanner seems to be like, yeah, I will go on
the state. Which it's still pretty new for Cat and Tanner.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
I mean, look at this point, from what we've seen,
Braiden and Cat were together for like three days, right
or Braiden and Cat were together for week one, Yeah,
and they had a row ceremony, and then the following week.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
Cat went on a date with someone else.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Yeah it was Tanner. Tanner and Cat have been together
for one week. Now, Tanner might go w on a
date with someone else. One week in paradise is a
lot of time, but it's not a lot of time.
And unless you had a conversation of being exclusive, you
have to kind of assume that people are still open
to going on dates. Like it doesn't seem like Cat
and Tanner were locked in on each other, like they

(26:23):
work and explore other options.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
It's still pretty new. Yeah, I don't think anything wrong.

Speaker 1 (26:28):
And because it's your birthday like that, I can't be.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
Like I'm super into the scroll, but like this date
falls on your birthday, I will do it, Like I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (26:37):
It's so hard.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
What I've learned in my life, especially with women, is
everyone has a different feeling towards their birthday. Like I
have friends where their birthday is a really big deal.
To that it's really important, I would, And then I
have friends who are like, I don't really care, it's
just another day. Whatever Cat is a birthday gal, so
this is obviously a big issue for her. But I

(27:00):
don't I don't.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
I think Tanner would have been making a mistake not
going on hundred percent.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
Well, Davia comes back and basically says, I don't need
to talk to anyone else another another confidence and I'm.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Trying to be intentional. I had one good convo. I'm
into it. Let's go. I loved it.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
I loved it, she hasked Tanner. He says yes, and
then before I mean, he could have pulled Cat before
he said yes, But does that really matter? No?

Speaker 3 (27:22):
He okay, wait, yes he did pull Cat.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
But he said yes, and then he pulled.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Cat right, yes, Okay.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
You know what I'm saying. So the day, I'd love
to do on the day, But can I talk to Cat?
He didn't say, put a pin in it. Let me
go talk to Cat. Now. I don't think he needed
to because at the end.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
Of the day, if he wasn't going to ask Cat
for her permission, there's no need to talk to her
before giving an answer. He's basically saying, I'm going to
go on this date whether you like it or not,
but I want to do the respectful thing and have
a discussion with you about it.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
And can'ts upset, which which she could be if there's
nothing there's nothing wrong with being upset. I mean, but
you know, her being upset at Tanner for doing.

Speaker 3 (28:09):
It is it is looking very hypocritical.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Yeah, I mean, she literally did the same thing to Braiden,
And I don't know if she talked to Braiden. Is
from a viewers standpoint, we don't see her talking to
Braiden before she goes on a day with Tanner, and
Tanner at least did that.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
But really, like, no, she did this exact same thing
to Braiden. For her to be like freaking out and
like kind of getting so mad at Tanner at this
whatever you like, a betrayal or whatever she feels like
it may be, is kind of the definition of being
a hypocrite.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
And I don't know if she sees that or not.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
I don't know if she feels like maybe her connection
with Tanner has been a lot stronger and more serious
than with Braiden. I mean with Braiden she was saying
in the truth circle like I'm still looking to do it.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
That's why I said I don't think she did anything
wrong by going on a date with Tanner and leaving
Braiden the only thing that she did wrong in that scenario.
It seemed like she got upset for Braiden getting upset,
which is like, which is like if Tanner got upset
at her for being upset?

Speaker 3 (29:15):
Yeah, Like you're just mad because they're mad at you.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
Yeah, So I don't I don't know, And I don't
think Kat did anything wrong with going on a date
with Tanner.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
She could have had a conversation with Braiden. Would have
been the only big change up front there. And I
only Karen did anything wrong with a date with Davia.

Speaker 1 (29:37):
You don't tell you do anything wrong by going on
a date with somebody else in paradise is if you
guys are exclusive and then you break the exclusivity, Yeah,
that's when it's wrong. Other than that, this is the
way the show works. So it's totally valid for Kat
to be upset. It is her birthday. She is really
into Tanner and now competition just walks down and takes

(29:58):
him on a date, So ca every right to feel
sad and upset. But she can't really be mad at Tanner,
and she kind of has to be okay with it.
Because she did it.

Speaker 3 (30:09):
Yeah, she's got to take it on the chin.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
She's just got to be like, this sucks, but like I,
she has to have a little perspective and understand that,
you know, have some understanding for Tanner and why he
made the decision.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
And we see like Aaron be that takes the interview.
He's like, yeah, I don't. I don't feel bad for
Cat at all. This is exactly.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
Areby is cold. Sometimes. I like his interviews.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
He's, uh, yeah, he's been really uh.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
He takes a hard stances on every situation, which I like.

Speaker 1 (30:38):
So we see Tanner and Davy are hitting it off
on the date, Brandan and Rachel get back. They seem
to be really happy. And then Kat, you know, we
see her. She gets a piniana and she takes out
her anger at the pinata, which good, good for her.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
Let it out, girlfriend.

Speaker 2 (31:00):
She needs a release because she's using yelling in her
interviews as the current release and I don't think it's
doing much. She needs some physical activity to burn off
this frustration and anxiety she seems to be feeling.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Yeah, and she's going to get a lot of hate,
like Cat's probably getting a lot of hate. Yeah, And
she's going to get a lot of hate for like
yelling in her interviews and stuff. But you know, for
people back at home, like that is a time for
you to kind of let your emotions run a little while.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Yeah, I want interviews when you're there can sometimes feel
like therapy. And it's just like a space where you're
in a room and it's private with a producer. I mean,
obviously it's not that private you're on camera, but it's
she's using her interviews to just vent, like she's venting
to a friend on a phone. And I saw Rhia
and fran on Chicks in the office say this, and

(31:49):
I just thought it was you know, I agreed with them.
They're like, watching Cat has really showed me the importance
of regulating my emotions and being able to just take
a breath and find a different outlet for your rage
versus screaming and interviews.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
Yeah. Yeah, Well, hopefully she doesn't get too much hate,
and if you're listening to this, probably just you know,
give her a little grace.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Okay, we have the truth or dare exception another truth moment.

Speaker 1 (32:23):
So this cast has just clearly been keeping too much
in and I think we're seeing that I feel like
everyone on this show has truly not everyone, but majority
of the cast has really been playing it safe. And
now we're starting to see this this kind of crumble.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
It's crazy because they'll play it safe, but you throw
a game in their face and they're like, sure.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Yeah, we can't, can't.

Speaker 3 (32:44):
That's off. We'll just tell you everything. We'll make out
with each other.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Can't lie here. So first thing, Pilot Pe kisses Kylie
really weird, Yeah, really.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
Weird, really weird because I know it was a dare,
but like she's like locked in with Avan.

Speaker 3 (33:01):
He's like sitting next to her.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
If that was you and me and they were like
so and so on our season, like kissery and I'd
be like please don't, like no offense, but like please
please don't.

Speaker 3 (33:11):
It was such an awkward moment.

Speaker 1 (33:12):
Mercedes and John Henry go at it. They make out,
They make out like yeah they.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
I thought she was with Tyler Norris, but maybe it's
not that serious.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
And then you see Olivia everything now.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Olivia Jetty Yeah yep.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
And then the big question, the big thing, and this
truther Dare section is a question gets asked to Jess
is Blake You're number one and we suggests like really,
like she doesn't answer it, and we haven't really seen

(33:49):
her give any definitive answers this entire time in Paradise.
She kind of skates around it.

Speaker 2 (33:55):
Two things that Jes should never be are a poker
player or a politician because girl has no game face,
like even when we see it with Sean, Like she
gets really nervous being asked these direct questions and like
you can tell she doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings,
but like, well.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
She's a nice she's a nice person, and I think
that's I think that's the hard thing for.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
It, and she like wants to be an honest person,
but she don't want to hurt people.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
Yeah, And I think that's been the hard thing for
Jess is she doesn't want to hurt anyone. And I
think the issue, I think what has been going on
is guys have come down and they see Jess as
talking to Blake and they basically don't want to step
on Blake's toes compete with Blake. Yeah, so they're not.
And then what happens is one of Jess's friends ends

(34:38):
up going on a date with somebody that she's also
into and now she feels like, well, I don't want
to step on one of my friend's toes, so I'm
kind of stuck.

Speaker 2 (34:48):
Yeah, no, she is stuck because I totally agree with
what you're saying, Like, I think she her only way
to kind of explore other options. The easiest way when
you're imperative to explore their options is to be asked
on a date. It's not easy to just start like
flirting with another guy at the bar, or like take
a walk to a day bed with another guy on
the beach, because that's really awkward. The easiest way is

(35:10):
for someone to come down that you're interested in and
ask you on a date, and you can have like
private time to get to know them away from the
person you're already connecting with. And Jess I think has
wanted that for herself. She wanted Tanner to ask her
on a date. I think she might have wanted John
Henry to ask her on a date. And I think
either they're not feeling the connection with her, like you said,
they don't want to complete with Blake and they're not

(35:30):
asking her, and she's like, I want to explore options.
I'm not certain about Blake. I don't think she's all
in on him at all.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
She's not, but she.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Hasn't been given the opportunity to explore other options. So
she's kind of in this place where she's like, do
I just like lock in with Blake now or do
I call it off? Because like, you can really only
be open in Paradise for so long before it kind
of gets to a point where it's like this is
a little weird.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
And now it's pretty it's getting to that point in
the show where like you kind of have to make
that decision.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
Yeah, because I.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Think when she said like her big thing, she's like,
I haven't done anything for myself, And I was kind
of like, what, Like, what do you mean you haven't
done anything for yourself? But I think that's exactly it.
She wants to explore and she hasn't.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
And if I'm Blake and you say that to me,
I have I'm like, uh, I like.

Speaker 3 (36:20):
That's I feel like kind of like a charity case.

Speaker 1 (36:22):
Yeah, I don't know absolutely, and I don't. I think
Blake handled it really well, he said he said to her,
like now I feel I need to give you space,
So I'm going to give you space, which was the
right thing to do and the only thing he could
have done, because.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
At this point, like if he grabs on tighter, it's
just going to get more awkward.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
I don't think he wants to end it with her.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
I think he's interested, but like, yeah, it's really the
only option is like I'm going to give you space
go explore, Like it's almost permission for her to like
go pursue other guys.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
And then and now and now, what what's Blake supposed
to do? Is he gonna explore something else? We'll see
how Jess he haumbles it. Maybe maybe if Blake goes
on a date with another girl, Jess, you know, gets
a little jealous and thinks, oh, maybe I was more
into this guy than I thought I was.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
Either, if he gets asked on a date by.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
Someone, yeah, that's probably the best case scenario.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Gives her some space on the beach to see what's
down there.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
Yeah, we see. We'll talk about the super teaser at
the end, but we do see Cat and Davia have
a talk about Tanner, which was it seemed a little
too soon to even have that conversation.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
I feel like the convo that needed to be had
was between Cat and Tanner, and I think Davia jumped
the gun pulling Cat aside. I think she was trying
to be proactive, and I think she should have waited.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Yeah, and we'll see that conversation next week as Tanner
pulls Cat. We also see the super teaser where we
see Cat going after John.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Yeah, so we can assume Daby and Tanner are going strong.
Kat is a free agent again. And who said she
was homie hot big? I don't know, but that's a
decent way to describe it. I mean, hey, the good
thing with Kat is like yet we have not seen
her be like I'm leaving, I don't have a connection, Like.

Speaker 3 (38:15):
She's onto the next like she's still looking for love.
She's persistent.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
And then the only other thing we see, the biggest
thing I think we see is Jess and Tyler make up.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Yeah, which kind of answers my question earlier of like
how serious are Tyler and Mercedes If she's like making
out with someone on the day bed in front of him.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
I don't think.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
I don't think that that's serious.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
So I'm I'm sad for Blake, but I'm also happy
for him and Jess. I feel like this needed to
happen like she needed to go, or like.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
She's gonna They're just gonna either break up at the
end or leave in a relationship and not be fully
committed and break up in the real world. So I
think this is what has to be done. And yeah
that I think that that wraps our recap. Thank you
everyone for listening. Make sure you subscribe Bacher Happy Hour,
stay tuned later this week. We have multiple interviews coming

(39:10):
out Sandra and Tanner. Thank you, and we have.
