official wrestling podcast, the Battleground Podcast. It is Battle and
as you know, NXT is making its return to Nashville
this Friday night at the Pinnacle. You can still grab
tickets by the way the Pinnacle, Nashville dot Com. And
joining us on the show today, I had a whole
list of things how I was gonna introduce to you

(01:54):
to her, but I think we just need to go
miss Parker, Miss Parker, Miss Parker. Jada Parker joins the show. Jada,
how are you doing today?

Speaker 3 (02:06):
I'm good, Love how Man, I am.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Doing very good. Try to stay warm in this this
natural weather that we're having, but you might experience the
tail end of it when you get to Nashville Friday.
You'll be ready for it.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Me too, Me too, I'm ready for it. So it's okay.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I would pack every warm clothing that you have and
you'll be fine on Friday. But let's just kind of
dump jump right into this real quick. You made your
return back to NXT, and you didn't go after the
NXT Women's champion. You went straight for the one that
everybody's talking about, Blake Monroe. What was going through your
head when you decided to come back like that?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Technical?

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Like not technically, but I just wanted to come back.
I didn't care who I was interrupting. I didn't care.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Who it was.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
It could have been the most popular legend ever. Jada
Parker is going to return when she wants to return,
regardless of who it is, because I run this.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
You just live here, but I run this, and I
wanted to hang to her for her to know that.
So that's what happened.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Well, you definitely made it very well known that NXT
is your house, not hers, and she needs to get
the step in somewhere else. But you know The one
thing that everybody loves to talk about online is there's
talks about you potentially eventually going to the main roster,
because I mean, you get there, you see the crowd pop,
you have the the Miss Parker chant, everything else in between.

(03:26):
If that call came after you beat up Blake Monroe,
what's the first thing you'd want to prove on the
main roster?

Speaker 1 (03:33):
The same thing that even though yes NXT may be
technically the third brand or the developmental brand, I still
bust my butt every single day just to get up
there with them, and I'm trying to make my idols
become my rivals.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Put that on a T shirt now aw shop dot Com.
Put it on a T shirt. We'll have that up
there now. The Bananda Parker is our guests of the
show right now, now you run over the last couple
of years has seen it in many situations, title matches,
underground brawls, big moments like it, no mercy. How do
you decide which version of Jada Parker shows up on

(04:08):
any given night?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
It just depends on who's across from me at the
end of the day, because they represent a part of
my life that I had to come over and I
had to beat up and I had to go through.
So they're just another stepping stone to the empire that
I'm building. And that's just how I see it. I
don't care who you are. It could be blood friends. Nah,
it's either you or me, and you're in my way.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
So you got to go.

Speaker 2 (04:30):
And you know, speaking of going, a lot of fans
still talk about the slap Herd around the world from
Rox and Perez back in twenty four Looking back, now,
do you think that was the moment that changed on
how the world saw you in NXT.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I believe so, yes, because you know, we can only
talk so much about who Jada Parker is and what
she does, but when she shows you, she shows you
and there's no questions about it. And I was so
I'm still tired of like questions me and asked me
that that's okay, But I'm going to show you at
the end of the day. My actions will speak and
match my words.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Regardless, absolutely for sure, And of course you'll be able
to see her actions and her words this Friday night
in Nashville Pinnacle Nashville dot Com if you want to go,
grab those tickets now. When you were at NXT. You're
originally part of Out the Mud as their first female member.
How did that faction experience shape who you've become both

(05:25):
in the ring and behind the scenes.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
It shaped a lot of Jada because those guys became
like my brothers. Growing up, I was with a lot
of guys, like with my brother football, all of that.
So I naturally tend to go to men because or
like hang out with men because they keep it real
at the end of the day, like they keep it real.
They're always honest with me. And at the end of

(05:49):
the day, they brought out something out of Jada Parker
that no one else was able to and that was
the dog because they brought me out the mud.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
And I will.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Continue to pursue that and to acknowledge them because without them, technically,
there would not be any type of Jada Parker.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Yeah, absolutely for sure. And I want to go back
because we were at the NXT show in Clarksville Vengeance
Day back in twenty four and again at the time
you were a part of Out of the Mud and
we were sitting there next to this couple that had
Jada Parker shirts on it. I was like, where did
these shirts come from? And then I started talking to them,
come to find out it was your parents the entire time. Yeah,

(06:28):
And I mean that's still got to be a cool moment.
You sit over there, you're doing your thing, and then
you look over and there they are ringside, supporting you
all the way.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
All the way.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Yes, it's amazing to have that type of I guess
like someone to have my back. My family always has
my back, and I'm always going to have theirs. But
for me, that was one of my biggest stages to
be on as a rookie, as a new wrestler and everything.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
So to look out into the crowd.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
And to hear my parents be the loudest in the
whole stadium, you know, Like it was a refreshing moment
for me. And it was a moment for me like, yeah,
I made it. I'm here for a reason, and I'm
going to show them. Well, I'm here for a reason,
so I'm gonna put you all on my back and
we're gonna watch the show.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Absolutely, And I kid you not, they were I think
the loudest people. Like I said, literally right next to
your dad.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Yeah, Like I was.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Like, this dude is like about to jump the guardrail.
At a second, like I don't know what's about to happen,
and your lot's going crazy too, And I was like
proud parent moment right there. For sure?

Speaker 3 (07:24):
For sure.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Oh yeah, and you'll probably see them at the show
at the Pinnacle on Friday the thirtieth, So maybe like
when people come out, you'll can go get your tickets
now they're only twenty five dollars.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Absolutely the Pinnacle, Nashville dot Com. Go grab your tickets
for sure. Now you've had some very intense rivalries Stephanie
Vecaer Lolavice, which feud, by the way, has pushed you
the most mentally, and how did you grow from it? That?

Speaker 3 (07:53):
That's a tough one. That's a tough one. I have two,
two or three.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
My first one would be Meetchen because that street fight,
the fights in general, like with our guys going against
each other and with us being the only female like
in our fractions going against each other, it was refreshing,
It was heartwarming. I learned so many lessons from me
Chen to this day, Like I give her applause because
that street fight took it out of me, Like it

(08:18):
brought a different side of Jada Parker that the world.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Was just now starting to get introduced to.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
And it continued on with the Lolavice view like that
Underground was no joke. Shorty has hands believed that my
street fight was no joke because she adapted to me.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
But I welcomed her into Jada Parker's world.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
So all of those interactions with meachen with Steph, who's
a hell of a wrestler to this day, I would
love to run it back with her because she brought
out a side of Jada Parker that like I never
knew I had. I had to dig down deep and
be confident in myself because she's a world champion thow
you know what I'm saying. So if I can win
against that, and if I can go against that, I
know I can go against anybody. So those, all of

(08:58):
those trials and trimbulations made me to who I am now,
which why Blake should be very very weird.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
I think Blake should be very very worried. I mean,
before before the Jada, before Jada got back into NXT,
it seemed like Bake, Blake Monroe's whole world was unraveled
and it's just going to continue to unravel once you
get your hands on Blake Monroe for sure. Now, one
thing that I have seen a lot here recently is
WW obviously uh seeing you as the future, and they

(09:27):
pulled you in some big matches even outside of NXT
like that Women's were a rumble spot. How did stepping
into the wider WWE universe shift your goals?

Speaker 3 (09:38):
I wouldn't say it shifted it. It just solidified it,
if that makes sense.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Because it was on a stage and at a point
in my time, I'm like, oh, do I belong here?

Speaker 3 (09:48):
Dude? Am I able to do this?

Speaker 1 (09:50):
And for them to see that opportunity and like that
in me, I have no choice but to see it
in myself. So when I walk through that curtain and
I just saw the crowd, yes, I had new music,
So it was already nerve wracking enough for me because
I was.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Like, oh what if they don't know who I am?
You know what I'm saying?

Speaker 1 (10:07):
And when my music hit, it was just like always
go time I heard my chance, I heard everything in
that lane. It was just like, oh, I'm here and
I have no choice but to show you who I am.
And that's what I continue and want to show that,
Like I'm.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Ready absolutely the future of WWE on the show with
us right now, Miss Jada Parker. Now, before wrestling, you
were a standout athlete college soccer national team call ups.
How much of that mindset still fuels who you are
today in the ring?

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (10:36):
All of it.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
All of the mindset, like the physicality, the mentality, the
emotional part of it, all of it. I just had
to switch it into a wrestler mode instead of a
soccer player mode, you know what I'm saying. So instead
of coming through the locker room, I'm coming through gorilla
and I'm locked in, like I have to be locked
in because those fans out there paid their hardworking money
to come see us. So yes, I'm going to put

(10:57):
on the show. And that's just how it is. I
was so used to a team aspect and I was
not used to the spotlight and wrestling. I had to
get used to the spotlight because I knew who I
am and I'm growing into the woman that I know
I want to be. And that is a very dangerous
spot for me because I'm untouchable in my mind, So

(11:18):
can nobody mess with me? Because Jada Parker is undeniable
and she will continue to show that she's undeniable.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
Of course you're gonna be able to see Jada Parker
and many more of this Friday night in Nashville at
the Pinnacle. The Pinnacle Nashville dot Com is where you
can go grab those tickets. Here's where we're kind of
coming up towards the end of the show. I know
your time is very limited today, looking back years from now,
when everything is all done, You've had multiple heavyweight championship
title wins, you've had multiple royal rumble winds. We're putting

(11:47):
it out there in the universe.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
Oh yeah, yes, what do you.

Speaker 2 (11:50):
Hope stands out as that moment that defined Jada Parker?

Speaker 3 (11:55):
The moment that stands out I would have to say
when that's a hard one. That's a hard one.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
The moment that stands out to me the most, I
would have to say, regardless of however many titles I
do win, speaking that to existence, God, blessing and everything,
but that moment would be winning my first title. Because yes,
I see all the comments, oh, you should do this,
you should do that.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Well, Okay, well.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
I'm minding my own business and I'm grinding until I
get that first title. So until then, I can't really
talk about like what I see that's going to set
me apart in the future. I can only talk about
now and winning that first title is all I got
in my mind because that is going to set the
tone for the rest of the future for.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
Jada Parker, Man Goosebugs, Jada Parker are taking us to
church today and it's not even Sunday, So I did I.
NXT is coming to the Pinnacle Nashville this Friday night.
The Pinnacle nashal dot com is where you can go
grab your tickets, get them now before they're all gone,
starting at twenty five bucks to get you in the door.
Last question for you, if you could go back and

(12:59):
give your younger self one piece of advice before your
first NXT match, what would it be.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
You're here for a reason.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
You're here for a reason, and you gotta whether you
find it out tonight or later on down the line,
you have to understand that you are here for a
reason and they see something in you that you might
not be able to see in yourself, but it's there
and you'll find it.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
So that's all I gotta say.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Man, Data Parker just dropping more knowledge and wisdom on
us this morning, real quick before we let you go,
anything you want to say to the fans watching or
listening to this right now.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
I please y'all.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
The tickets are only twenty five dollars, and I would
love for y'all to come out, hang out with us,
meet and greet us, and most of all, just have
fun and enjoy the show. Again, the tickets are only
twenty five dollars, so if y'all need something, let me know.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
But I got you and I plan on seeing y'all
day
