What's up you guys?
Speaker 6 (01:01):
Welcome into iHeartRadio's official wrestling podcast, the Battleground Podcast. And man,
we are pretty excited about an upcoming event that's happening.
I'm gonna go ahead and bring in my tag team
partner Eli. There he is, buddy, what's up?
Speaker 7 (01:14):
Hello?
Speaker 6 (01:14):
Is that that's the shirt we got at the Clarksville show,
right or the Oak Grove.
Speaker 8 (01:20):
Crocket Cup Crocket Cup Okay, which I was just thinking about.
Speaker 7 (01:24):
That was five months ago.
Speaker 8 (01:25):
Can you believe that it's already like we're already done
with the summer pretty much like that?
Speaker 4 (01:28):
That is what's freaking me out.
Speaker 6 (01:30):
That and the fact that my kids are already in
school right now, So I'm like, where has summer gone?
But speaking of the NWA, NWA seventy four is on
its way, and of course you can still grab tickets
at NWA ticks dot com. But today we have a
very special guest on the show. And you know our
track record on the show, right, everybody that comes onto
this show, if they're going to wrestle for the title,
(01:54):
they go on to win the title. It's a proven
track record on this show.
Speaker 7 (01:59):
This this is an indication.
Speaker 8 (02:00):
We interviewed Matt Cardona and three days later he was
the new world champion.
Speaker 6 (02:04):
So let's bring our guest, Tya Valkyrie. It comes right there,
she is, thanks for coming on the show.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Is I think?
Speaker 8 (02:13):
So?
Speaker 6 (02:13):
I mean we have a pretty good track record of
everybody that comes onto the show goes on. Like Eli said,
you know, we we sit here and we talked to
Cardona literally three days after we published that episode of Cardona.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
What do you know? He wins the NWA championship.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
All right, I'm counting on you guys.
Speaker 8 (02:30):
Now, you being a belt collector, you probably don't need
a lot of help from us.
Speaker 7 (02:34):
But every little every.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Little bit positive energy and good yeah, there you.
Speaker 7 (02:39):
Go, there you go.
Speaker 6 (02:40):
So we're gonna put that positive energy out there. So
let me let's go ahead and start to start this thing.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (02:45):
What was it about the nw A and their women's
division that makes you decide that you wanted to bring
your talents to an n w A ring.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
Well, I'd never wrestled there before, you know, so it
was just like this whole other new experience that I
was really looking forward to. And I have several friends
who have worked with the nw A and have had
such positive experiences, so obviously had to go and try
it out herself.
Speaker 8 (03:11):
Yeah, did you did you get experienced too much in
w A growing up?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Not really, to be completely honest, Sorry, Wise, my laptop
or my phone is going off people living alone.
Speaker 7 (03:25):
No, I just thought it was me.
Speaker 8 (03:27):
I was like, we're all looking around on my phone,
my phone.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
It's my laptop. My texted going through my laptop. Anyways, No,
I didn't really experience a lot of n w A
growing up really in Canada, you know, it was stampede
wrestling and uh wwfww, so that was kind of it.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
But now, you know, I'm doing my research and you know, getting.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Into it and doing my thing, and I'm really excited
to be getting this championship opportunity for extremely prestigious championships
such as is the you know, NWA Women's Championship, the
Burke and WA seventy four. So I think we need
to add that championship to my little collection.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
That I had.
Speaker 7 (04:09):
Your growing collection. Yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 8 (04:11):
You know you're you're synonymous with being around incredible women's
locker rooms from Impact to.
Speaker 7 (04:18):
All over the world.
Speaker 8 (04:19):
What has the atmosphere have been like so far in
the NBA locker room?
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Super positive?
Speaker 2 (04:24):
You know you always kind of worry about that when
you're going into these situations and like everyone gonna be
mad because I'm here, Are they gonna like me?
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Is my style gonna mesh well with theirs and stuff?
But honestly it was.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
There were so many familiar faces when I got to
the NWA, you know, Matt and Chelsea are there.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
I got to be with Terrencerrell, who I hadn't worked
with in years since back in the day in Orlando
when we were filling at University.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
As well as the Hex, and you know, and also
new faces like Kylie King and so it was it's
really exciting. Everyone's been super positive and yeah, I don't know,
it's just a good vibe.
Speaker 6 (05:02):
Yeah, and you mentioned Kylie King, Man, I mean, talk
about a girl that is like blowing up right now.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
You see her. She is everywhere.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
She's legit.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
She's really talented, imposing presence in the ring. I love
that match that we had was the first time we'd
ever wrestled. We never trained together with never anything, so
you know that chemistry obviously came across.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
And I mean, I can't wait to wrestle her again
for sure.
Speaker 6 (05:28):
Maybe maybe it's going to be for the n w
A Women's Championship A seventy four now.
Speaker 7 (05:35):
Now, she's one of the rare exceptions. We have to say.
Speaker 8 (05:38):
We did interview her before her match with Camille for
the world title, and she did not come out.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Get that negativity out of here.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
We're not putting that out there, we're bleeping that out.
Just take that out.
Speaker 8 (05:49):
We didn't mention it was a different competitor. We're not talking,
you know, all that, so yeah, what but I mean, besides,
I was about to I was about to add to that,
and I just blanked.
Speaker 7 (06:01):
I don't remember we're talking about Yeah she's blown up.
Speaker 8 (06:05):
Yeah, yeah she's uh we talked to her CCW.
Speaker 7 (06:09):
Match in the she had a cage match. They got
a lot of buzz. So yeah, yeah.
Speaker 8 (06:12):
You guys had a very good That was the number
one contender match. You guys had right that? Yeah, that
was solid match. H What do you think about the
studio TV studio wrestling? Is that kind of like do
you like the old school approach the NBA's presuming it was?
Speaker 1 (06:27):
I mean they film at Skyway Studios, which is this
place that I actually, yeah, National where in twenty twenty
Impact film there for you.
Speaker 8 (06:35):
Basically lived there, yeah plans.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
So I like, yeah, we lived there for a long time,
so that space itself was very familiar to me.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
But it was really weird to be the.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Studio set up because it was it caught me off
guard about how different it felt compared to other situations
I'd been in.
Speaker 5 (06:54):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
I remember I did like a podium interview and I
was like, why am I so nervous right now? It
was like, so it just caught me off guard how
different it felt compared to like stereo, you know, like
the standard kind of style of filming wrestling.
Speaker 1 (07:10):
But it's really fun because I mean it's something different, right,
So I'll.
Speaker 8 (07:13):
Take it absolutely, I think you're the next question, Yes,
even going off area.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
We're is kind of been going all over the place.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
So besides experience, I mean, what does your style of
fighting and wrestling bring to the NWA that might be missing.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Well, obviously, I'm heavily influenced by the Lucha libre style
and all these kinds of different styles that I've studied
throughout my career.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
So I think that I bring that to the table
just a little bit. You know, they don't have.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
A Lucco or a style wrestler there right now except
for me, So I think that that's definitely what I
bring to the table. But also I'm just adapting and
being able to like use that and also adapt into
like the style that's required for the NWA, which is
different from other places.
Speaker 8 (08:00):
Right, And you do have some star appeal, I would say,
pretty well known.
Speaker 7 (08:05):
Yeah, there we go.
Speaker 8 (08:07):
So on the subject of all things in WA. The
current NWA Women's Champion, Camille the brick House, as she's
referred to. What stands out to you most about her
as a defending champion, as you yourself are a defending
champion with tons of belts around your waist right now,
what stands out about or what even kind of bouncing
off of that? Do you remember the first time Camille
(08:29):
kind of got in your radar and you're like, oh shit,
or you know, like, oh, she's gonna be big, Like
do you remember any of that?
Speaker 2 (08:35):
I mean, I'm just fascinated by like strong, confident, beautiful women.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
I love it. I love wrestling them, I like watching them.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
So I remember, I think the first time I ever
met Kamille was probably at a wrestle cad I want
to say several years ago, but it was just like.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Such a brief interaction. And so yeah, like recently, our
first time.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Wrestling was at XBW show here in California, and then
again in the tournament to crown the XPW Women's Champion.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Who I am the xp W Women's Champion?
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Uhlt in that wound for Camille will be watching this
right now.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
But I just really I just think she's so cool
and I think that uh not a lot of not
enough people recognize how how much she's grown and how
passionate she is about this business. She's been a fighting
champion this entire time. She's got had a super long
reign as w A s sorry n W as Women's Champion.
So it's just it's really exciting for me to wrestle
(09:35):
someone like her. You know, Like I said, I'm fascinated
by two bulls coming together and fighting.
Speaker 8 (09:40):
At and I think you guys are you know, I'll
use your term bulls.
Speaker 7 (09:44):
I would never call a.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Woman a bull.
Speaker 7 (09:48):
But you know, even though you two are, it's the
different styles.
Speaker 8 (09:51):
So like you said, like you're definitely more Luca, you know,
you do have more high flying in your your repertoire.
She's more I guess maybe ground Bay it's more strength,
So I mean, I still think you have the differences there.
So it's just like it's kind of one of those
matches where you're kind of like, why haven't we seen this.
Speaker 7 (10:07):
World title match before?
Speaker 6 (10:09):
Now?
Speaker 7 (10:09):
You know, like where what have we been waiting on?
Speaker 2 (10:11):
You know?
Speaker 7 (10:11):
But you know, yeah, sorry, go ahead.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
But yeah.
Speaker 6 (10:14):
So NWA seventy four, it's August twenty seven to twenty eighth,
Live from the Chase in Saint Louis.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Course, you could grab tickets NBA TIS dot.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Com can also watch that pay per view on fight
So definitely be watching out for that. We'll probably be
giving away a code soon for that on our social media. So,
you know, Camill has held that title for a very
long time, and it seems like everybody comes in and
they're like, well, I'm gonna dethron Camille and I'm gonna
be the one that beats her, and I'm gonna take
the title for I have a feeling that the wind
(10:42):
of change is about to happen now that you've stepped
into that Number one's Contenders match. So without I guess
spoiling too much because I know Camille watched this high Camille,
what are your keys to success to be the one
who finally to dethrone Camille.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
I think it just comes from experience.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
It comes from you know, over a decade of working
everywhere versus everyone, being the longest raining knockout champion in
all of history, being the longest reigning triple A champion
in all of history. You know, I think that that's
my advantage and that's what I'm bringing, you know, to
n W A seventy four, so.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
I will be the one to thrown her.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
I can't wait for her to, you know, shine that
belt up for me and for me to take it
home to the West coast.
Speaker 8 (11:27):
Well, we are belt collectors, as you can see.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
As you can see, we like to collect the belts
every now and then.
Speaker 7 (11:32):
Mine are going in shelves. I haven't built yet.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
So you know, you guys are getting like. I painted
this wall yesterday, so.
Speaker 7 (11:40):
It was very nice. Oh that's awesome, very nice.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Mine is just there's a window and there's a curtain
behind me, and the.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
Less boring. I always felt like it looked like gray
or something.
Speaker 8 (11:50):
I think the I think the red and then the
beetle juice curtains.
Speaker 7 (11:53):
I think they look good.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
I think they're pink. It's like a pinkish yeah.
Speaker 8 (12:00):
Ah okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, there we go.
Speaker 7 (12:05):
Okay, so we're about collectors.
Speaker 8 (12:07):
You've become quite the belt collector, not only currently but
throughout your career. Do you plan on defending the burke
around the world if you're the next person to hold that?
Speaker 1 (12:16):
Absolutely? Why not.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
I have been defending my other championships quite regularly, and
I plan to do that the same with the.
Speaker 7 (12:23):
Burke sooo easy.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
I mean that that's the that's the cool thing about
it is like you know, every time we've talked to
somebody that has a title, they're like, we're we're gonna
be a fighting champion. And even if they're going up
I mean going up against somebody, that's that's the best response.
Speaker 4 (12:38):
We're gonna be a fight. I'm gonna be a fighting champion.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
And I mean there's something behind it when you show
up to an event and I'm putting this out in
the universe, so you go to an event and say
it's a triple A show and it's like here she
comes in the accolades of you and n W a
women's champion as well. I mean, that's got to be
something cool to add to the resume.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Right absolutely.
Speaker 2 (12:58):
You know that such iconic women of hell this championship
over the course of its existence, and I just want
to be added to that list.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
So I'm really excited for you guys to see what
we do.
Speaker 6 (13:08):
And of course it's also kind of fun that you probably, uh,
this is would this be like the first belt that
you've had that has a photo of yourself inside the belt?
Speaker 8 (13:18):
Do you get to pick that photo out or question
are we going to have the puppy in there?
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Or oh well, actually just put Presley's face right there?
Speaker 7 (13:27):
You go, there you go, there you go.
Speaker 8 (13:29):
That would be I mean that might make you fight more,
you know what I mean, you're defending.
Speaker 7 (13:34):
There are yeah, so that might you know, Yeah, I
like that.
Speaker 6 (13:39):
So I mean this one, this is always a fun one.
This is for the the i w C Internet wrestling community.
They always have the questions, they always.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
Have things they want to know.
Speaker 6 (13:48):
This is not going to be a bad one. This
is not going to go somewhere where you think it is.
Do you think that we can get you and John
to face Sammy and Tay for the Triple A Mixed
tag team titles?
Speaker 1 (13:59):
I mean I don't, And see why not?
Speaker 2 (14:01):
I mean, I think universes exist together, right the multiverse
of wrestling right now is insane, So uh why not?
Speaker 1 (14:09):
I mean, we have so much experience in mixed tag wrestling.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
I don't think anybody has as much experience as we
do in all different styles. You know, when we did
it on much underground, when we did it in Triple A,
when we've done it on the indies. So absolutely take Hanti, Sammy,
you guys are newly beds.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
We've been married four and a half years.
Speaker 8 (14:28):
Try me.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
I'll buy that pay per view once and it's in now.
Speaker 8 (14:34):
Well, and it's like when I was just talking, I'm
one of those that kind of like got back into wrestling.
Luca Underground was That's what got me back into wrestling,
to be honest. I was flipping through L ray or
the TV and L Ray stopped and I was like,
what is this? And I hadn't watched wrestling in probably
ten years, and I don't think you and John had
(14:54):
a match, but y'all came out and I was like, well,
I recognize those guys and then I saw I don't
even who it was, but it was one of the
craziest matches I still have ever seen to this day,
and it.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Was just what are you talking about?
Speaker 8 (15:06):
Yeah, And it was like, you know, I know that
you know, it kind of went the way it went,
but I mean for a lot of people, I mean
like that was incredible wrestling programming, you know, and the
way it was filmed, and I mean it looked different
and you know, I kind of wish that, you know,
I don't know, big company with a lot of money
was behind it, because I mean, I really.
Speaker 7 (15:26):
I love that program. It was really really good.
Speaker 8 (15:28):
Was would you say that that was generally a positive
experience looking.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Back, Yeah, I feel like anyone you talked to that
was on which underground, I would say like that was
one of the most fun experiences and most fun places
to work. Also, just think because all of us at
that time were really just kind of breaking it through,
So it was kind of this first big opportunity for
several of us.
Speaker 1 (15:48):
Think about Shane Strickland, think about me, Ryan kh Phoenix Pensa.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
Like all of us were for the first time, like
really kind of you know, being recognized for something and
on a bigger platform, and it was just so much fun.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Yeah, it's so much fun.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
It was absolute chaos and mayhem and I loved it well.
Speaker 8 (16:09):
And I think so where I was going with that
was as I so, you and John tag team against
somebody and it was a mixed and it was like
you were the literally you were the first woman I've
ever seen that I can remember that fought a male
in a wrestling ring, and it was like real, it
wasn't like a you know, you saw I.
Speaker 7 (16:28):
Don't know I'm trying to think, like Jeff Jarrett hit.
Speaker 8 (16:29):
Somebody with a guitar once and that like you were
actually fighting, and I was like, well, that's different. And
I mean that just opened up an entire world of
you know, lucha and you know, the the intergender stuff,
and I mean like there's so many storytelling options in
that realm, and you know, I think for the companies
that do kind of embrace it, it just is a
(16:50):
different way to tell stories, you know.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
Yeah, And I feel like for all those people that
have such issues with inner gender wrestling, I mean, they
would talk about that and you know, like I can't
believe Looke Undergrounds doing that.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
I'm like, listen, guys, if you can.
Speaker 2 (17:04):
Believe cat women and Batman are fighting each other, then
you can believe that in this crazy underground fight club
where there's demons and dragons and people coming back around
the dead. I mean, guys, yeah, well playing to play
with us, give into the magic, right.
Speaker 8 (17:20):
Well, and here's some more shocking news. The men and
the women training at the same places. Like it's the
same schools, it's the same teachers.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Like they're we're fully capable.
Speaker 8 (17:33):
Speaking of you know, we we've just We've been talking
kind of all over the place, But what has your
return to Impact Wrestling been, Like, I mean, you've already
held gold since your return. I mean, what has it
been like going back to the Impact in that locker room?
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Fabulous? You know, I never left them on bad terms,
Like those people are.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
My family, Gaale and Scott, Like when I was released,
were like the first people that messaged me and called
me and just being like You're gonna be okay. Don't forgot,
you know, because I was having these kind of like
oh my god, my life is over, you know, but
like going back there, it was just it was it's
exactly how I remember it, and everyone's so positive, everyone's
having fun. All the women get to be showcased a lot,
(18:16):
you know, you'll see multiple women's matches on a pay
per view and things like that. So it's it's just
been really special. And obviously to be sharing the screen
with someone like Rosemary and now Jessica, people who I've
you know, worked with for so many years, and we
just all have such a great friendship and respect for
one another.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
Yeah, and it's I mean, you see everything that's been
happening right now, and it's I feel as if we've
talked about this numerous times, women's wrestling is actually starting
to be way better than some of the guy wrestling because,
you know, growing up as a wrestling fan, like I
grew up in the attitude there, women's wrestling either got
like three to five minutes where it was brawl and
(18:56):
panty matches, or it was this stuff.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
But now you've got you.
Speaker 6 (19:00):
Know, women headlining pay per views and going back to Impact,
you had the first ever Queen of the Mountain and
then you had the first ever women's ex title match
and or Ultimate X, and you see the tide is
shifting and a lot of people are saying, hey, the
girls can go just like the dudes, if not better.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
I mean I've been saying that for a long time,
but yeah, I mean it's always just.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Like its wrestling. Women's wrestling wrestling in general.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Has changed so much over the last decade, really, but
I still think for women we still have a ways
to go.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
We still aren't going to be fighting for our spots.
We're still going to be fighting to have one, you know,
a match on an indie show, which I think is
insane when you come across an indie show and.
Speaker 2 (19:44):
There's no women on the cart I think that that's
graceful in twenty twenty two. You know, we're trying to
fight to get paid, we're trying to fight to you know,
for all these kinds of things. But it's great to
see that we're moving in a positive direction. And it's
great that there are these companies like Impact, like a
W A like MLW that are allowing women to have
other platforms to perform.
Speaker 8 (20:05):
Yeah, and you're even seeing a turn with a lot
of the indie stuff too. I mean, we will be
at shows and you know, you'll have the trolls, oh
your foot whatever, and then you have people like shut
the fuck, like, I mean, you have.
Speaker 7 (20:17):
People shutting that stuff down now.
Speaker 8 (20:18):
And you know, like you know, girls were boring and
then they're just like this is awesome, Like you know,
they're yeah that.
Speaker 1 (20:25):
Whole like trolling bs stuff.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
You know, women, we and men deal with it, honestly,
both both of us do online. But I definitely think
that we deal with it more. People one hundred percent
of the time like have something to say about how
we look or what we how we talk, or what
we said, or like what we're wearing, and like just
watch the wrestling.
Speaker 8 (20:48):
Yeah, and I just think it's unfair how the girls
seem to be like crucified for like botches and stuff
like bro botches happen all the time.
Speaker 7 (21:00):
All the time.
Speaker 8 (21:01):
I've seen legends botch stuff. I mean, you know what
I mean, like give them a break.
Speaker 7 (21:06):
You know.
Speaker 8 (21:08):
This, this is not related to anything we just said.
Speaker 7 (21:10):
I just thought of it.
Speaker 8 (21:11):
So you know, we've asked everyone from Billy to I
think we might even ask Tony Kahn as I don't remember,
but we've asked a bunch of people. So there was
a back in the eighties there was like a supercard
and there was a bunch of the territorys that got
together and they tried to go against Vince and you know,
blah blah blah. I mean, do you think there could
(21:32):
be a super show nowadays, like an Impact Ring of
Honor a you know, aw, I mean everyone that wants
to play in the sandbox just have a big, huge
super show and just I.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Mean, I think that that would be amazing because it
allows for dream matches that maybe people had thought, or
allows for dream matches that maybe people thought we were impossible.
So I would be absolutely open to doing something like that.
I feel like that's what's so cool about the wrestling
industry right now is the fact that we are able
to play in all the sandboxes and we are able
(22:04):
to have these dream matches, like the way that I'm
able to be on MLW, on Impact, you know, in
NWA and and be in all these places at once.
You know that that wasn't the case even three years ago.
You couldn't do that, so very short.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Yeah, it's really different now, so it is very cool.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
So if there was if there was a show like that,
like one percent come in, was it there?
Speaker 7 (22:25):
You'd have most of the belts. I mean, you'd have
to be there.
Speaker 6 (22:27):
So yeah, yeah, you have a gauntlet match and it's
just like every fifteen minutes you get a new competitor
for whichever belt. And you kind of saw a little
bit of this this uh this this show that Eli's
talking about with uh with rig Flair's last match, because
you had everybody there. And I'll tell you what, I
was there in that building when that happened, and that
that triple A match tore the roof off of that house.
(22:49):
Like I was sitting there and I was like, good
luck following that whoever has to come after this, because
I mean, you sit there and like I was like,
there was a guy next, so she's.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
Like, who are these guys? Like I don't want to
watch this? And I was like, trust me, you're gonna
want to sit.
Speaker 5 (23:03):
Down and watch.
Speaker 7 (23:03):
Just watch.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Yeah, I kid you not. Not one person was sitting
down during that match.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
One person.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Incredible, absolutely incredible, And I mean I just got to
wrestle Taurus last week in Vado de Escandalo in the
main event with the luch Brothers and uh yeah, like
they're all super super talented Bandido Laredo can It's just
I could go on and on.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
I gush about those guys all the time.
Speaker 2 (23:27):
They're they work extremely hard, they're extremely talented, they're doing
the damn thing, you know, and they're trying to get
out there, and I'm really happy for them and that
more and more Mexican talent is able to be seen
and get respect for what they're doing, because what they're
doing is pretty damn cool.
Speaker 6 (23:42):
Yeah, And sitting there watching that and you could see
and I would you know what, maybe maybe Billy, if
you're watching this, I'd love to see some more Luca
door wrestling in the NWA.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
I mean, I think you could bring that in there.
Speaker 6 (23:53):
I mean, you you've kind of you like lit that
up that fire unto Billy right now with your style
of wrestling. Maybe maybe we could get Bendido in there.
I mean, I think Bendido could look good with a
ten pounds of gold around his ways, you know.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Yeah, and some of the women as well. You know,
let's let's get Lady Shanny out here, Let's get Lady
Flammer out here, like all those the New Sexy Star everybody.
You know, like those women are also.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
You know, need some love and know that they're super talented,
and I think that they would be very successful at
any of these companies in the States.
Speaker 6 (24:26):
But they can't go against you when you win that
NWA Women's championship, right they have say at the bottom. Yeah,
after the women's tag team titles right now, y'all can
have that, so you can't take your title away.
Speaker 8 (24:37):
Do you think you could talk John into coming over
and you know him world champ, you world champ.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
I mean, why not? We were world champs together in Impacts.
Speaker 8 (24:44):
I mean, and then you know you've got a built
in feud with the cardonas because they want those belts.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
So then oh yeah, oh Man and Chelsea.
Speaker 8 (24:54):
Uh, this one's always kind of a fun question. Where
do you see yourself when you finally hang up your boots.
What do you think you're going to do after wrestling?
Do you think you'll be involved with the with the
business still or you know, we we we know Locus
kind of started out I think during the pandemic. Did
you launch during the pandemic or did it come out
right before pandemic?
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Kind of boredom and just needing to be creative.
Speaker 8 (25:17):
Yeah, yeah, so you got a lot of stuff going on.
But yeah, what do you what do you think about
your post wrestling career?
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Well, I don't know, Like I feel like I'm always
going to be involved in wrestling somehow, I'm not really
sure what that would be if it is like a
producer agent or something like that. I also just think
that I really right now, I'm super into real estate.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
That seems to be the move that everybody's doing right now.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Yeah, and I'm like constantly on Zillow. It's horrible.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Just I really want to, you know, have My dream
would be to you know, have a bunch of rental
properties and be managing all of that and just kind
of expanding my empire and playing Monopoly in real life.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
I also really want to.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
Write my book about my life because I think that
my life is crazy and interesting, and I think that
people think they will be, but they really have no idea.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
Just stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
And I'm continuing to, you know, write movies with John
and we have our the irin cheek Massacre is finally
hitting film festivals this fall.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Yes, so that is a super exciting.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
I already have a concept for and an idea for
the next movie I want to write. So I mean,
I just I love dabbling and everything and anything and everything,
so you never.
Speaker 6 (26:30):
Know, sounds like a very busy life plan after this,
