Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
It's a Battle Brown, Battle Brown, Battle Brown Podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:12):
What's up you guys.

Speaker 4 (00:13):
Welcome back into the battle ground. It is battle alongside.
I've got my tag team partners. I've got I've got
Josh and boy do we have a lot of things.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
To get into on the show today.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
But before we can get into anything, we do want
to take a quick moment to pay our respects. Earlier
in the week, we were sitting there and we got
the news of Dennis Kandre passing away. Of course, as
you know, Dennis Conrey legendary member of the Midnight Express.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
He had a fantastic solo career.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Anything I'm missing on Dennis Corey's career, Eli, I know
you're our resident Midnight Express fan, So now you know
a lot.

Speaker 5 (00:48):
Of people think that his time in the Midnight Express
is probably the most underrated. And I know FTR for
example or big fans of that iteration.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
And.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
Some of the stuff and Bobby Eaton did were just
unreal and yeah, just one of those kind of unsung
heroes that kind of flew under the radar. So yeah,
sad here by him.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Yeah absolutely, And of course FTR actually had mentioned Condre
in some of our interviews we've had with them. So
if you want to go back and listen to those,
just type into FTR in the playlist and you can
go find those. And also if you're on social media,
make sure you find us there. We're on Instagram a
lot Battleground podcasts.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
So go check that out. But let's dive into it.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
A lot of things happening last week. One of the
big things that everybody is upset about, including the IWC,
is what happened on Friday Nights SmackDown Sammy Zain beating
Mellow and winning.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
The US title.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Of course, I was sitting here looking at stats on
that one, and they said that the video of the
title change received twelve thousand dislikes compared to just eight
thousand likes on YouTube, with fancomments saying so we just
couldn't do Carmelo versus Trick at Mania, and the person said,
poor Carmelo.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Hayes.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Yeah, Joshua will go first.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
You know, I was a little I was a little
taken aback by it. I mean, listen, I got nothing
against Sammy. I don't think he had any direction. And
I guess it's fine. What they you know, to get
him in, But I just don't know why they didn't,
unless unless there's gonna be some kind of rematch this
Friday again on SmackDown I, or they're going to make

(02:30):
it a triple threat. Maybe you know, because you know,
someone interfered last time, so maybe Mellow will interfere this time.
Who knows, who knows? Like there could be there could
be so many ways they go with this match. I
I think I texted you battle right away after I
saw that, I was like, like, what the hell are
they doing? Like what is this?

Speaker 3 (02:48):
This is like you could literally print money.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
You and I were in Stand and Deliver when it
was Mellow versus Trick for the NXT title and.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
That place he erupted.

Speaker 4 (02:58):
The history is already there between Mellow and Trick, and
I just don't understand. And look as a fellow Ginger,
I love Sammy like great person, right, but I am.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
So tired of the same thing over and over and
over again.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
At this time, they never have plans for Sammy, so
they're like, you know what, let's just make him.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
I don't have a plan for WrestleMania, and I have
to be there and I gotta do this, and I
feel like triple h owes it to Sammy Zay because
Samy Zay when people think of WrestleMania, they're always gonna
think of him and Johnny Knoxville, right, And I feel
like this is just one way of saying, hey, look,
you know what you had to endure that that whole

(03:39):
Johnny Knoxville storyline, blah blah blah. So we're gonna let
you have that WrestleMania moment and we're gonna get you
in there and you're either gonna win a title or
you're gonna have a title going in.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
And I just I just don't see what the purpose
is of putting Sammy Zain on WrestleMania, Like it's not
gonna make me want of I take it even more.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
And again, nothing against Sammy's Aye.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
Yeah, I think most of us are of the opinion.
You know, we assumed he oh, your background blurred out
your can there, Josh, that was good, didn't show any
corporate logos, very good, very nice? Uh sorry uh adhd
caught up.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Sorry.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
You know, I think most people are shocked that Samy
Zaine has never been world champion, uh, considering his indie
history and run and you know, it was a huge
thing for him to go to n XT, and you know,
very excited when he finally got to the main roster.

(04:44):
And you know, I think for a lot of us,
it's just kind of surprising at this point. But you know,
going back to the Knoxville thing, it was funny. We're
kind of around the anniversary of WrestleMania three Hogan versus Andre,
and someone rated we man slamming Samy's Ain is the

(05:06):
second best slam in the history of w W after
Andre and Hogan, Like, well, that's pretty funny.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Can I ask a question to Eli about about the
same thing. You know, he he wanted to win a
world championship, Like you said, you were surprised he never did.
I'm absolutely surprised. Did they just make a complete left
turn with that? Because did he didn't he like go
nuts about like I want the world I want the
world title, and now he's oh happy I'm the US champ.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Yeah, I think he did do that because remember I
was it was it when Cody went and won the
World Championship and and Sammy's like Cody always gets to
get his way and he always gets this and blah
blah bah.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
It was whatever they do.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
At the same time Cardona came back. I think it
was right around that time.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
Yeah, and so they were kind of leaning into that
a little bit, like, uh, but maybe not going after
the world title, but just the like a heel heel thing,
you know, I kind of I kind of think they're
kind of showing signs of him turning heel anyway. But yeah,
you know, you're right, Josh, it's just kind of like
a okay, so now what you know, I'm in agreement

(06:12):
with Battle. You know, I don't think everyone needs to
be on Mania. I mean, well, there's a couple of things. One,
I think this whole idea of like I don't have
a spot for Mania as a story is dumb. Like
technically that's how Cody came back to WWE. Seth didn't
have a match, yeah, and then set him up and
then it was Cody and that was the whole thing.

(06:33):
So like, this has been going on a long time,
so it's not like a new thing. But I think
it's like Battle was saying, like at this point, to
throw something against the wall just to make it stick,
just to have one of your boys on the show.
It's not pushing the needle, Like, I'm not like, oh shit,
Sammy's Zaye beat Carmelo and now he's fighting. It does

(06:55):
nothing for me. And it's like you said, like the
story's built in mellow. Trick's right, Sammy's had WrestleMania moments.
He main invented him and Kevin Owens against the USOS
for the world titles taxting titles. I mean, that's that
is my main event. Uh, you know, Trick and Carmelo
probably years away before they're even in a main event
conversation like that. So I don't know. I you know,

(07:18):
I guess hoping for the best of you know, they
they do it a three way or they bring an
iliad and then it's a four way or something like.
But again, yeah, it's just I don't know.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
And here's the thing, is like I don't I don't
want anybody to come at me on social media, be
like Thata doesn't like Sammy Zay. I have nothing against
the guy. I just like you said, he like the
I don't have a spot for WrestleMania. And it seems
like that's kind of been well, we don't have anything
to say for Sammy to do around this time.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
What can we do. Hey, you know what, let's do
the whole woe is me, I don't have a spot.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Why couldn't they just put him in? Like why not
just make it a three way at that point?

Speaker 5 (07:57):
Right? I don't.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
I don't. When when they were backstage and Trick was
talking to to to Eldus, it made no sense to me,
like I don't have a spot, okay, when I have
a spot, and then Sammy's I don't have a spot
for you, and then he wins out of his spot,
like it's just it's a weird convoluted tree to get
to this point, it just wouldn't have made more sense
to have a triple threat.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
And and they love doing those things at at WrestleMania.
And if you want to give Sammy a WrestleMania moment again,
you know, is this them just saying, hey, you know what,
we appreciate what you did with that Knoxville.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
Match, which, by the way, I enjoyed.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
That Knoxville match, And kudos to Sammy for being a
worker on.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
That and heard and turned it into Magic Man exactly.
And I and I applaud Sammy for me right to
get on the even base here. I mean, we well
I can speak for myself. I mean I wanted Sammy
to beat Roman when they falled in Canada before WrestleMania
thirty nine.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
Yeah, and that would have been incredible in his hometown.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
All this whatever, well, and even going back to the
wrestle anything and taking someone's spot two years ago when
he took Chad Gable spot, if you want to call
that whatever, I mean, just imagine if it would have
been Chad Gable against Gunther and a face Chad Gable
had beaten the heel Gunther like we would. I mean,
that would have been like a Kurt Angle moment. That
would have been a Daniel Bryan moment, you know. And

(09:23):
now granted him and sam he had a great match.
That's cool, But it's just like, I don't.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Know, and I think in the gripe that fans have
on social media again, is there is history between Trick
and Mellow, And you gotta admit there are two of
the hottest young acts that WW has right now. The
history they had with an xt uh, there's the chemistry
there and wrestle Mania is that exact moment where you

(09:50):
want to have that match happen in front of the
biggest audience of the year instead of you know, having
Carmelo's what ninety day rain and then all of a
sudden it ends because of you know, Trick's interference and
Mellow got sacrificed to make the Sami moment happen. And

(10:11):
then I think, okay, well, maybe we do get Mellow
and Trick at WrestleMania, but it's not for the title.
But then is there any is there any reason that
you want to watch that match if there's not a
title on the line between Mellow and Trick, Because at
that point, you might as well make that like the
ww WrestleMania pre show match, if you're just gonna have
Mellow and Trick, right.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
Yeah, yeah, I mean I think that's well, okay, so,
like you know, do I think Carmelo and Trick could
just have a match of Manian and be awesome. Yeah,
of course. But I think to your point, I think,
with all this mess that they've done, if they just
made that the match this close to Mania with no
other build but just they were in NXT, like why

(10:56):
you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Yeah, And I mean just sit here and you picture this, right,
because I know Josh is gonna be there in Vegas
for Mania. You're there in Allegiance Stadium, right, and all
of a sudden, whoop that trick.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
That place is going to go nuts.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
I told you we saw that at the stand of
Deliver before WrestleMania forty in Philly. That was the biggest
pop I think he's ever gotten in an arena that size.
And I think he talked about it in some interview,
but I can't imagine sixty thousand people in Vegas not
chanting whoop that. Like he's so over and it's great
that he's in that match. It's great he has a

(11:32):
WrestleMania match. That's what you know, you strive for Sometimes.
I just I don't dislike Sammy. I just I just don't.
I wanted it to be Mellow and Uh and Trick,
which was the match we saw when he got that
that pop for the nxt time. I mean, come on, come.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
On, yeah, I don't know what's gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (11:48):
Of course, we're still a couple of weeks out from WrestleMania,
so maybe maybe.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
They could always change it.

Speaker 4 (11:53):
You know, there's they could, you know, because there's always
you know the rumor of Mellow having to drop the
title because he's getting married WrestleMania weekend, and there's all
these other things. So you know, maybe we'll hear something
from Mellow in an interview later this week, or maybe
he'll say something on SmackDown Friday night or Raw on
Monday night. Who knows what's going to happen. Again, we're

(12:15):
on the road to WrestleMania. Everything and anything could change
over the next couple of weeks, which leads us into
the next topic for WrestleMania, the WWE Hall of Fame.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Of course, we've got the names that are going in
this year.

Speaker 4 (12:28):
Something that I find kind of interesting that WW is
doing now is the Legacy Hall of Fame. So it's
kind of like, are they considered hall of famers? Is
it a legacy because they put in Sid Vicious and
Bad News Brown this week they are those are the
first two inductees of the ww Hall of Fame Legacy,

(12:49):
So does that mean their Hall of Famers or.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Is it kind of like the Celebrity Ward. Is it
just like, hey, you put some you know, you gave
us some years in our company, and you know you
were recognized. So although I do think Sid was way
bigger than Bad News Brown because Honestly, the only thing
I remember about Bad News Brown other than his awesome
bald head and beard, was the fact that he won

(13:16):
the Battle Royal WrestleMania four. Yeah, part destroyed the trophy,
which I was at there too, But the point is
the point is I mean, that's how I got to
know Bad News Brown as a kid. I don't really
remember anything else that he did. To be honest with you, Yeah,
he was just a glorified jobber.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
I was gonna say he was just a solid jobber. Really,
he was a good worker. Yeah, I mean, like that's
okay him and said or night and day. I mean
he SID was two time World WW champion, he was
too w c W champion. I mean he was he
was a top, top guy. So yeah, you know, I'm

(13:57):
reading it as legacy is like they're just not alive,
you know, I think I said, Yeah, I mean, I
could see Bad News Brown having an asterisk just because
he technically was just a yeah we don't like to
use that word, but you know, like that enhancement talent

(14:17):
whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
He was.

Speaker 5 (14:19):
He wasn't really considered a top guy. But Sid, I
mean people have been calling for him to go in
the Hall of Fame for years now. I mean he
he got a bad rep for, you know, some things,
and he loves softball and all that good stuff. But
you know, basically coming he come from West Memphis, Arkansas,
so just coming from the Memphis area. I mean, he

(14:41):
was like Frankenstein to us. I mean he was like,
oh my God, and like him. And he was the
Skyscrapers in w c W with I can't remember his name,
Dan Spivey, Spobby who was well, he was the serial

(15:01):
killer in wwfour. Was he Norman Yate or Jasey or.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
That's way before my time, that's probably this was like, Yeah,
they'd just kind of gotten a little bit into to
wrestling in ninety five. My thing is is, like, like
you said, Eli, I think Sid Vicious obviously should have
gone in.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
A while back.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
And I feel like, when they've created this legacy thing,
it's like, if you had any like any thought of.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Them being into the WWE Hall.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
Of Fame and there's still somewhat alive but barely kicking,
I feel like you should just go ahead and put
them in so they can have that moment, right because
you know now that they're dead. I mean, do you
do you give them like a little bit of a speech.
Do you invite the family members to be up there?
I mean you did it with the pa I know that.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
You know.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Yeah, they did it with the British pull dogs. They
came up there. But it's like.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
Legacy is it, like you said, is it a separate
wing or is it just all encompass of the Hall
of Fame. So does that mean now everybody, like Andre
the giant British Bulldog, did they move to the legacy ring?

Speaker 3 (16:12):
No?

Speaker 1 (16:12):
I think they're just what they are. I don't think
they can change it. I think so now maybe just
moving forward?

Speaker 5 (16:18):
Yeah, so I guess what's the definition of legacy? I mean, right,
is that their way of kind of putting an asterisk
beside it?

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Or so here here's my next thing.

Speaker 4 (16:26):
So, now that you've created this legacy ling wing, uh,
sid Vicious bad News Browns going in as the first? No,
no ill will towards SID or Bad News Brown. If
you're doing this legacy winging, why wasn't Eddie Guerrero the
first one? Why wasn't China the first? Owen Hart?

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (16:45):
I understand why Owen Heart.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
But like another one we won't mention his name, but.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
Yes, yes, that yeah, But like Eddie Guerrero China, you
you announced this legacy thing, and it's like it's not
either one of them too.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
They didn't even explain it though. It was just on
the graphic and they haven't about it. It's just there
it is. So I guess we're just to assume.

Speaker 5 (17:07):
Yeah, for the record, dancing body with Wayl and Mercy.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
But now you you've kind of opened this legacy, this ring,
this section of the Hall of Fame, and it's like,
I know, for a while they did not want China
to go in as just China because of her career
after wrestling, right, So.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
Is she going to go in next year?

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Is?

Speaker 3 (17:35):
You know, is Eddie Gerrera.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
I know that there's that that situation between the Guarrera
the Guerrero's family.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
I think it's maybe Vicky maybe doesn't want him in there.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
Somebody with Eddie Guerrero's family doesn't want to deal with
whatever or wants rights. I'll have to look into it further,
but like, okay, Eddie goes in, China goes in. Uh,
You're gonna have people on the internet that's gonna be
saying outside of what happened outside of wrestling? Does he

(18:04):
get to go in to the legacy part? I mean,
obviously they've scrubbed him off of everything. Does Owen Hart?
Is this the way for them to do that?

Speaker 2 (18:12):
You know, there's so many names that you could throw
in there, is Bruser, Brody?

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Is he in the Hall of Fame?

Speaker 5 (18:20):
I don't think he's in?

Speaker 4 (18:22):
So do you put him in there? I mean, are
you gonna put Dennis Condrey in there?

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Next year?

Speaker 5 (18:28):
He is? Yes, he was part of the twenty nineteen
Legacy Wing.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
Uh do we Bam Bam Bigelow? Is he gonna go in?
Is he is? I don't think he's in the Hall
of Fame?

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Is he?

Speaker 3 (18:40):
I know, we just got Vader in.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
I don't think Bam is. I don't remember his family
doing anything with it.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
Legacy Wing was introduced in twenty sixteen at honors historic
wrestling figures from the earl of twenty century through the
Territory Area era, usually posthumously. So yeah, it's mainly I
guess it's intended for the people that are.

Speaker 3 (19:00):
Why is new Jack not in the Legacy Wing?

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Well, uh, let's see, But I'm just he isn't at
the Bambam's not in the Hall of Fame. Okay, the
the the the the sham that is the Hall of Fame.
We could talk about some other times. And that's I
mean even even now, you know, next it's still March. Okay,

(19:26):
So next month April when when Mania is happening, Cindy
Laufer is in Vegas doing a residency and they have
not elected her, like they won't even do her put
her in the Hall of Fame while she's in Vegas
her And I mean, it's you know what I mean,
like it's just so and I think we could probably
take some of this with a grain of salt, you know.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
But right, and I could see where where where your
point is of you know, the Hall of Fame being
a sham because it's literally just on paper on a website.
There's not like an actual Canton Pro Football Hall of
Fame or a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There's
not an actual like building where we can go to
the WW Hall of Fame, which the closest, the closest

(20:03):
you get to it is like at WW fanatics World.

Speaker 5 (20:06):
Where they bring stuff out at Mania exactly.

Speaker 4 (20:09):
That's about as close I think if there was a
legit Hall of Fame, which they've got so much stuff.
I don't understand why they don't turn the WW warehouse
into the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 5 (20:19):
Well, so the rumor is as they're moving to Vegas
to be in you know, UFC Land and every.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
They just built that whole brand new facility up there.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
I know, and so it's like that didn't make sense.
But like I think if well, okay, so the last
thing I heard was that the PC was moving to Vegas. Yeah,
but I think they just they're building new PC in Orlando,
or they built one already. But anyways, my point is
is like whether they stayed in Orlando or they moved

(20:48):
to Vegas, those are two vacation hubs. Build a physical
hall of fame, bring all the crap from Stanford into there,
and print money three hundred and sixty five days a year.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
Oh absolutely, what.

Speaker 5 (21:02):
What do you like? I don't understand, like they they're
so forward thinking with a lot of things like the
WW network. That app was groundbreaking. I still miss it
to this day. And then you you know, you get
to the physical thing where people have been asking that
I I mean, I've heard about this for my whole life.
I mean, I mean, I've been hearing about a physical
Hall of Fame my whole life, and it's just like

(21:24):
you know, but then they would try like the WW
restaurant in Times Square first, you know, like it's just
didn't they.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Talk about didn't they talk about a hotel and casino
at one point too?

Speaker 5 (21:34):
I think they hit kind of like a hard rock Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Kind of a although and for the record, w F
W w F New York was fantastic. I went there
numerous time. It was fantastic. Watched that I met Kevin Nash.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
There it's in your little DVD.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
I can't get I can't get the other two signatures.
I'm disappointed. It's just gonna be Kevin Nash forever.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
Oh but yeah, I mean I think because if you
put it in a central place, like you said a
Vegas or you know, uh, Orlando, or.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
The perform reason for it.

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
I mean, this is my thought process behind that you
put it in Orlando, right, Okay?

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Cool as part of like a package.

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Now.

Speaker 4 (22:18):
I don't know if WW, if you're listening to this
podcast right now or not, but you put the Hall
of Fame in Orlando at the Performance Center. You make
it bigger, right, they do the whole Hall of Fame
blah blah blah. You can pay extra to sit there
and go in and watch as their training.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
You could sit there and pay extra to get into
the ring.

Speaker 5 (22:37):
I mean there's you could go Tuesday night to the
live TV tapings.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
On c W exactly. You buy a Hall of Fame thing.
You get to do this and you get to meet
Booker t before.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
The match, something like an on location thing where here's
a package of everything you want to do with the
WWE Hall of Fame, including all that stuff you just mentioned.

Speaker 5 (22:55):
Like this Tuesday, get the man Con package. Mankind's coming
to watch an extra live, You get to interview, you
get to do a questionnaire before the thing. I mean yeah,
then you go to the Foley section, you walk through
his exhibit, Like I don't understand, you know what I mean,
Like we.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
Just lower thinking like this, you know, because if you're
trying to sell stuff, that way maybe could offset the
other stuff.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
And that's the thing is like I you know, we
have been to Fanatics World and it's been great, so
why not make something like that.

Speaker 3 (23:27):
I Mean, every sport has a Hall.

Speaker 4 (23:29):
Of Fame basketball, baseball, football, hell, the Louisville Slugger Museum.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
Do you think it's because all that company has a place.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
Do you think it's because when they do ww World,
it's you know, it's during the biggest event of the year.
It's very unique, and it's like, if you don't go
this year, you're gonna have to wait one more year.
And I know it would probably generate a lot more
revenue if it was, you know, open fifty two weeks
a year. But but do you think the thinking is like, hey,
this is this is unique. Now if you want to go,

(24:01):
you got to come to WrestleMania. That's the only way
you're gonna get this.

Speaker 5 (24:03):
Yeah, but here's the I don't agree. Sorry to cut
you off. I don't agree, just because, like if you
compound everything, how much extra work they have to do
during Mania to do all that crap compared to how
much revenue they get to whereas if they just put
it in one place and just I mean it's nine
and days.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
So like battle you said the warehouse could be the
you know, museum and Hall of Fame because there's so
much stuff in that way. Yeah, listen, I don't care
if it was in Stanford, Vegas, or or Orlando. I'd
go in heartbeat, yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:35):
I mean even if you kept it in Stanford as
like the symbolic right where you know people are gonna go.
I mean they put the Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame in Cleveland for some reason, and people visit that.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
S Cleveland Roxy. Everybody made that. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
Well, and see here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (24:49):
So I'm looking it up right now for WW World
at WrestleMania forty two, it's Thursday, April sixteenth through April twentieth. Now,
I'm just looking at tickets for a single day. If
you want to go, it is eighty seven dollars for Thursday,
one hundred dollars, ninety nine dollars and thirteen cents for Friday,

(25:11):
that is with the service fee, by the way, eighty
seven dollars for Saturday, eighty seven on Sunday, sixty four
dollars on Monday.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
And if you want to get it.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
For multi days, they say which is the best value,
it's three hundred and thirty dollars plus fifty four dollars
in service fees.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
Now. WW World is awesome.

Speaker 4 (25:31):
Because you can walk through. There's cool things. I think
when we did it in Philadelphia. We got to stand
in front of the WWE in your house, in front
of the garage and the door, and that was cool.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
And you got to stand in front.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
You got to stand in one of the cages from
Survivor series war games and there was.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
Like Eddie Guerrero's Lowrider, and there was like.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
A couple of things and there was I think what
was in the world there, Yes, seampunk pipe bomb. But
here's the thing, and I don't know why we're not
doing this. Aud he has that big WWE interactive building
that they built with.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
Stuff inside of it.

Speaker 5 (26:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
Put it in Vegas, put it in Orlando.

Speaker 5 (26:09):
Yeah. A lot of people are upset that that basically
kind of almost like a museum was built out of
the States first.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
But that's another story.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
I think I wish that there is a WW Hall
of Fame, but I mean, who knows.

Speaker 3 (26:27):
We'll see what happens.

Speaker 4 (26:29):
By the way, speaking of WW Hall of Fame, we
do have the class going in this year, which I'm
intrigued by this one because you've got Stephanie McMahon aj Styles,
you got Demolition Acts and Smash, you got Dennis Rodman,
you got Psycho said, you got bad news.

Speaker 3 (26:43):
Brown.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
When it comes to the WWE Hall of Fame, there's
always that big, big name that goes in. Right, last
year it was who was it last year?

Speaker 3 (26:54):
Who's the big big name?

Speaker 4 (26:56):
Why am I drawing a blank on it? Stat guy, Josh, No,
you don't have anything.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
Fact. Remember I was, I was in Vegas.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
I can't even Gosh, you're awful, Josh, this is horrible.

Speaker 5 (27:07):
Was it Johnston?

Speaker 1 (27:08):
No? No, actually it was, Uh, yes.

Speaker 3 (27:12):
That's it, triple h The big names that went in
last year?

Speaker 4 (27:15):
Uh, every year there's always that marquee name that goes in.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Right, Who is that marquee name this year?

Speaker 4 (27:24):
Like I know it's I know we're all gonna say Stephanie.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
McMahon, Right, she was very monumental for it.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
I got I got a better idea, And okay, you
can tell me this is completely wrong. I might be
pulling this out of my ass, but I think it's
gonna be John Cena, and I think it's going to
be either a last minute thing or a surprise type thing.
And I know surprises for Hall of Fame might not
be the best thing to do, but think about it.
They want people to go people who get tickets they go.
That's something I don't.

Speaker 5 (27:52):
Think you take the go really, to be honest, because
last year, like wasn't it like at eleven pm or something.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
It was after smack down, right after SmackDown, which was
around eight o'clock or nine o'clock.

Speaker 4 (28:04):
Yeah, I don't know, but it's like there's not that
that marquee name that they have every year.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
So you know, I don't think Stephanie does it. Yeah,
I don't think Stephanie does it. I mean she obviously
very instrumental. I mean, I'm not gonna I'm not I'm not.

Speaker 4 (28:22):
I'm not knocking her going into the Hall of Fame
at all. By no means I don't want anybody coming
at me.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
No, no, no.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
But she was a monumental part of the Attitude era
and everything else between.

Speaker 3 (28:33):
You know when she showed up to.

Speaker 4 (28:35):
Now, I I don't know who that marquee person is,
and like you said, he like, maybe maybe it is John.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
Seen it, but I mean the last minute, you know
what I mean, maybe maybe that week of mania, like hey,
last push, guess what scene is going in? You know
what I mean? Because you saw how crazy it was
for him for that last match in December. People want
to see him still, you know, I don't want to.

Speaker 5 (29:00):
I think it would I think they would have already.
I just think they would have announced it. Philm like
to me, I think he does the same thing. I
think I think he'll be announced for next year and
it'll be like kind of the main push. But I
mean they're booking everything last minute this year, so who knows.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
Maybe well, and here's the other thing, So when did
when did Stephanie get announced that she was going?

Speaker 3 (29:23):
And she was the first one announced.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Right that was way back because she was sitting in
the crowd. An undertaker came out.

Speaker 5 (29:29):
And told her it was Saturday Night main event.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
It might have been. I think it might have been
the first Saturday Night's main event or some show. Yeah, yeah,
it wasn't.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
It wasn't a So so here's my thing, like obviously
seen as the last match.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Was when was seen his last match December? December?

Speaker 4 (29:47):
So as I'm sitting here because I got my my
thing from fanatics, I got my little John Cena. I
thank you sena thing. Shout out Minny Bell, shout out
to fanatics.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
It's numbered. I don't know what number it was.

Speaker 4 (30:00):
But I think if you were gonna put John Cena in,
it should have been that night after his match.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
Yeah, I think.

Speaker 2 (30:10):
If that was where if if John Cena was going
to go in, I think it should have been that night.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
I don't think we see Sena in the Hall of
Fame this year. I think we see him next next,
next year. Yeah, I mean, I think he's got other
things going on right now.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
I know he did say that he wants to come
back in some role with w W.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
But I I don't see John Cena going into the
Hall of Fame this year. I think it's I think
it's next year, and I think next year it's gonna
be much bigger because they're going back to Saudi.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Question for you, My next question was what if it
What if it doesn't, and we don't have to get
into a huge discussion, but Joe, for argument's sake, if
it doesn't, you think they still go down that same
road and put Sena Because I could understand Sena being
in Saudi. They want the huge names out there, and
that's the biggest name, you know, other than the Rock
who's not in the Hall of Fame either.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Yeah, but he's baffling to me.

Speaker 5 (31:08):
But and he's already said, like they want him to
wrestle at Mania next year, and I don't know if
he wants this final match to.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Be They also want row Roddy Piper.

Speaker 3 (31:18):
But watch you man too, I'm not gonna happen.

Speaker 4 (31:25):
But but yeah, you know, maybe the bigger names go
into the Hall of Fame next year, for in Saudi
because they're gonna pay that money. Maybe we do get
Rock in the Hall of Fame next year, Rock Rock
and wait for it, Rock Sena and Batista.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
That's that's a I mean, he's a he's a name,
but that's he's not on their level.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
To the.

Speaker 5 (31:52):
Off, though yes, say would.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
But then this leads me to my next thing of
like people going in. Obviously Triple H was last year,
Stephanie was this year, Shane. Do we see Vince or
Shane go in with the next two years?

Speaker 1 (32:09):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (32:10):
I think.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
I think. I think we'll eventually see Vince.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
I think it's gonna be after he's dead.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Yeah, he'll be the legacy.

Speaker 4 (32:18):
And then then when when it does happen, And this
is just me looking into the future and knowing how
things are when it does happen.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
That's probably when they'll build the Hall of Fame.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
And they would probably would want his cadaver in the
Hall of Fame itself and closed in a glass case.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
Yeah, it's like when you go to the Vatican and.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
You see all the tropes or frozen like Austin powers.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Vince, Vince still gotta get them tickets, man, money, do anything.
But yeah, I mean that's I I'm intrigued to see
what happens. I mean, obviously, you know, we don't know
what's gonna happen in a year from now.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
We're just kind of speculating things.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
But I think next year in Saudi you will get
the big matches you'll get. You'll probably get Rock and
Roman at Saudi. You know, That's that's the only one
that's coming over my mind right now, Rock and Roman
in Saudi. I don't know what else there could be.
Maybe they'll open up the check book and we'll get
another last minute match from Stone Cold Steve Austin like

(33:18):
you did at Mania and Dallas.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
I mean, if the check clears, you know what.

Speaker 4 (33:24):
But again, a lot of things will happen, a lot
of things will be kind of set in the tone
for for Mania next year, because the tough thing is
is when you have Mania, Mania and Saudi, most of
the people here in the States really can't afford to
go to Saudi to see that, and so it's gonna

(33:45):
be a ginormous show and I can I mean, with
the money that the Saudi pays for the wrestlers to
come over there, you know.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
They're gonna go big.

Speaker 4 (33:55):
And we'll save that talk and what we think WrestleMania
could look like next year after we see what happens
to resume this year.

Speaker 3 (34:03):
The Royal Rubble was massive, so yeah, it will. But
it's I I'm intrigued.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
I'm intrigued to see what's gonna happen over the next
couple of weeks leading in a Mania.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Uh you know.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
I I think speaking of Mania, I think that they're
trying to do everything they can currently right now to
make people really really latch onto this Cody and Randy
feud because I think the thing that's going to steal

(34:36):
the show that weekend is definitely going to be the
Roman and seeing Punk show Match. I mean, Roman was
just on Jimmy Kimmel the other night, or not Jimmy
Kimmel Jimmy Fallon and cut a promo about Punk being old,
and he's probably like, oh, you're probably in bed because
you're old, so you're not gonna be watching this right now,

(34:57):
Like this has been great, right.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Hmm, Well, listen, you're bringing it into the mainstream, which
is which is the right thing to do for this
type of thing. You're not seeing the Cody Randy outside
other than SmackDown personally. Listen, I'm gonna be biased. You know.
I love seeing Punk. That's the match I want to
see more than anything else. Right, But after Randy Orton's
heel turn and you know, beating the snot out of

(35:22):
Cody and then the other night doing and Cody coming
back like that.

Speaker 5 (35:25):
Gets dropping jelly roll. That was a very That was
a very pleasant to see.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
I don't mind.

Speaker 5 (35:30):
I don't, but that's maybe my favorite arch of all time.

Speaker 1 (35:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (35:40):
I was just gonna say so, I'm not excited about
seampunk or Roman at all.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
Really.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
So when when when Punk did the promo and mentioned
his dad and very mighty to him, everybody came out
of the woodwork signed a ww not and even Nia
Jackson was talking stuff. I was like, okay, all right
here we go, and then Romans came out and was like,

(36:10):
you're old.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
Right, bro.

Speaker 5 (36:13):
He just talked about your family like like now, granted.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Well he mentioned his wife too, so okay.

Speaker 5 (36:20):
Now, granted I thought he was going to go in
on Larry, and I think a lot of people were
kind of bracing for that, and maybe they took it back.
But I mean, like you went from like a level
AMO down to like f level AMO.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
Like well, and maybe maybe that was one of those
things and we we don't know how this plays out.
Maybe we'll see it in the next Unreal docu series
on Netflix.

Speaker 5 (36:40):
Maybe part of it.

Speaker 4 (36:41):
Yeah, maybe it was one of those ones where Romans said, hey, look,
let's do this.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
Nothing is off the table for me.

Speaker 4 (36:49):
And maybe you know, because they knew him talking about
his uncle, that bloodline family is ginormous, like Zillapot two
was talking about it. There was people that I didn't
even know was the part of the blood line from
the indie scenes that people were asking about that she us.

Speaker 5 (37:06):
Are up in arms. I mean like and so so
I had the fuel.

Speaker 4 (37:10):
I was like, okay, all right, and so I thought,
like everybody else, he was gonna mention Larry and maybe
Punk was like, hey, look, you can talk about.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
This, this, this, this, and this. Larry is off limits.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
It's I go back to I go back to this
from years ago when it was Charlotte Flair and Page
and that feud, and when Page made that line about
about how basically uh she said something about Charlotte's brother
that died and she was like, oh, your daddy couldn't save.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Him or something along those lines, Like you knew that
that was ammunition.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
And I had had a conversation at the time with
Charlotte's because she came into the radio station and I
asked her about that because we were like, hey, you know,
where is the line drawn when it comes to the
back and forth promos? And she's like, we kind of
talk about where it is what it isn't. And I
asked her about that specific line Page said to Charlotte,

(38:10):
and Charlotte was like, she told me that it was
gonna be along those lines. I was not a fan
of it, but for television purposes, we had.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
To go with it.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
Yeah, And I just think like that just took the
wind out of the sales a little bit. And you know,
it's cool that he's on NBC and you know, they're
all tied together and whatever their partners I guess or whatever.
They've all been on the Jimmy Fallon Show. So anyways,

(38:39):
I don't know, it just kind of I don't know.
I was kind of I mean, honestly, the Triple Threat
match last year kind of didn't do anything for me,
Like I kinda I don't know, like the it kind
of ended up being like an A for me, and
I thought it was gonna be like an A plus,
which is not the end of the world, but it
just still like kind of just thought there was things

(39:01):
they could have done better. So I thought, like this
one maybe just them focusing on each other and not
having seth I thought like, oh, but I don't know,
it's just kind of the the the just putting those
on paper, and then the interest I have is just
that match up.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
Now going back, does the aura just not work for you? Like,
does it just not like you know, sometimes you get
really hyped for main events, like when at forty when
Cody was finishing the story that was real Hod.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
That was amazing. I was there in the building for
that one.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
I mean, that's that was like the theme going into
that it was finishing the story what are you are
you missing? Not missing as in not knowing. I just
mean like like there's just not one there that isn't
you know, pulling you in again. I'm biased. I love
seeing Punk. I'm gonna that's the match I want.

Speaker 5 (39:49):
Yeah, I just think, you know, considering their position.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
Is like, you know, like do you think it's just there?
You know what I mean, It's like, well, we need
a main event, so here it.

Speaker 5 (39:59):
Is kind of does yeah, yeah, it kind of it does?

Speaker 1 (40:02):
You know?

Speaker 5 (40:02):
It's kind of a you know, Rock versus Roman point
version three, you know what I mean. It's just like
they just put a match, you know. So I'm definitely
more interested in Cody Randy, but it's mainly because Randy's
turned heel now right, and the crowd is yeah, and
it's like, so they're in a tough spot for several
reasons because one, are you going to listen to the

(40:24):
crowd and let codyk I mean, let Randy win? And
then two, as far as Roman and seem Punk goes,
what's the outcome is is are you gonna put it
on Roman who's still part time? Are you going to
keep it on Punk and have him beat Roman? I
mean like there's still the the you know, I guess

(40:46):
to an extent, Paul Hayman could get involved somehow. I
don't know how that would work, but I mean like
that's still a wild card. There's just a lot of
things that are just kind of uncertain going into it,
and I'm just like, so far it's not a slam
dunk for me. I'm just guess maybe a week from now,
you know, next week's show, I could be like, Okay,
all right. I think I'm on the same page as
he goes.

Speaker 4 (41:05):
And here's the thing is, I you know what, I
love this Randy Orton.

Speaker 3 (41:10):
I love the whole hearing.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
Voices again and you don't know what's going on, and
it's like who's he talking to on the phone?

Speaker 1 (41:15):
That's my favorite part.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
That's like, there's some people are like, he's talking to
so and so. He's talking to so and so. I
think I've read one fan theory where it's like, you know,
when he was talking to somebody on there, it's literally
just the voices in his head that are talking to phone.

Speaker 3 (41:31):
I love how Ted Dibossi Junior over here is acting
like he's talking Randy Orton. After all, that stuff that
went down.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
Wondering who called him and then Randy's wonder who called him.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
It just could be the.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
Guy in the next room.

Speaker 3 (41:44):
It could be it could be Dan Housen for all
we know. Who knows.

Speaker 4 (41:47):
But I think I think we see Randy, uh, and
we'll we'll kind of dive into this as we get
closer to WrestleMania.

Speaker 3 (41:53):
We'll do like a prediction show and think of you know,
we'll talk about that.

Speaker 5 (41:57):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (41:58):
But I think it's about that time because I'm looking
at it right now with when it comes to the
you know, most WWE World title reigns, and right now,
Randy is tied with Triple H at fourteen and we
all know that that Triple H loves Rick Flair, and
I don't know if anybody is ever going to beat

(42:19):
Rick Flair outside of John Cena's title reigns, right I
think it's going to cap. Somebody is going to cap
at fifteen, and why not make it be Randy?

Speaker 1 (42:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (42:30):
Because you have you have the top you have the
top five longest you know, or most championships one. Your
top five is all evolution, Yeah, Rick, Triple H, Randy,
because after you look at that, let me see. John
Cena is at seventeen, Ric Flairs at sixteen, Triple h
is at fourteen, Randy Orton's at fourteen, Hogan is at twelve.

Speaker 3 (42:52):
Edges at eleven, Lesnar's.

Speaker 4 (42:54):
At ten, The Rock is at ten, Sting is at ten,
Verne Gangne is at ten.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
And that is your top ten of most w W
World title reigns. What was that last one? This is
all according to ESPN dot com.

Speaker 1 (43:09):
And for the reference, Batista only has six. So just
to kind of give you a difference with the evolution,
now he's coming.

Speaker 2 (43:15):
Back, baby, soad He's gonna get all them titles next
year Wrestling Mania.

Speaker 5 (43:20):
That's my aw a world chipion.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
Oh yeah, but yeah, So we'll we'll obviously we'll see
what happens, and of course, uh we'll we'll see how
things play out this week, and uh again.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
A lot of things happening on the show this week.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
We got a couple of guest spots, guest interviews coming
on the show. Uh we uh gonna have Elena Black
from t and A lot of people remember her as
core Jade from WWE, so we'll talk to her this week,
and uh, a surprise guest as well possibly, I don't
want to tell you who because card subject card part.

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Subject, Yes, yes it is.

Speaker 3 (43:57):
It's been a long day boys, cart subject.

Speaker 4 (44:00):
So I've learned from past when I've announced guests on
this show.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
And I'm like, so and so's coming on the show,
and then they don't come on, and then I'm like,
well they didn't show up so high on the face
there exactly.

Speaker 4 (44:13):

I think the only thing we were gonna mention quickly
was this past week it was the twenty fifth anniversary
of WWF at the time WWE purchasing WCW. You know,
we don't have to talk long about it, but they
did just about Triple A. So this continues, you know,
twenty five years later, it continues on. So yeah, so.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
Probably were probably one of the most awkward and historic
nights at the same time to see true US at
the same time. None of us ever thought we'd see that.
And I heard it was that was the coolest thing
I've seen in my entire wrestling life.

Speaker 4 (45:18):
And I remember flipping back from uh usa was it?

Speaker 3 (45:23):
Yeah, us A to T and T and I'd flipped back.

Speaker 4 (45:25):
I was like, Haha, this one's a second faster than
this one.

Speaker 5 (45:29):
I had. I had my TV on in my bedroom
and I had the living room TV on, and I
was just kind of running back and forth, and uh,
I was I had actually gone over. I had gone
to my parents' house because I was in college, so
I I was at my parents house. I was like,
I was watching it must have been spring break, must
have been while I was home and not at school anyways,

(45:51):
But I was running down the hall back and forth,
watching and stuff. And yeah, So for good or for bad,
I mean, we are where we are now currently.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
Because I was. I was eating pizza at a joint,
sitting at their bar, and they had it up on
the screen in front of us, and there were so
many people watching it that night. It was crazy.

Speaker 4 (46:09):
Was that that wasn't the one that it was at
Club Leavila?

Speaker 1 (46:12):
Was it? No?

Speaker 3 (46:13):
Was it?

Speaker 5 (46:14):
Well, they were on the they were in Daytona Beach.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Oh okay, yeah they weren't.

Speaker 1 (46:20):
Yeah, I thought it was Panama. I thought it was
Panama City or yeah, I think it was Panama City.

Speaker 5 (46:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (46:26):
It's one of the land for w w F and
Panama City for w W Yeah.

Speaker 4 (46:31):
So interesting times for sure, and it could have been
more interesting here recently with those reports of Tony kan
Train to buy a w W when they were Sanama.

Speaker 5 (46:38):
You are correct, Boardwalk Beach Resort in Panama City.

Speaker 4 (46:43):
Well, boys and girls, that's gonna wrap the show up
