Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome in everybody to betting pros. It's time to play
short bets. A is b Joep Joe Pie's a pia
with my boy the con Man, Tyler Connyam. He is
back and he's now a two time, two time dad.
He's kind of on leave, but he's coming here to
hang out and talk wrestling with us anyway, because you
need the escapism, especially when you have multiple kids. Anybody
who has multiple kids knows that. And what better escapism
(00:23):
than the annual big event the Royal Rumble. In a
lot of ways, I gotta tell you, Tyler, I enjoyed
the Rumble more than I enjoyed WrestleMania. WrestleMania the two nights,
it's very bloated, it's a lot. It's fun, but it's
equal parts exhausting. Last year's WrestleMania was a bit of
a letdown. I think we'd all agree, but of course,
coming off with forty, it had to be that. Now
we kind of a reset. It feels like for the
(00:44):
last year or so, WWE's kind of been spinning its wheels.
We ended up with the entire twenty twenty five year
being about Johnsena's retirement. He said, at the beginning he
was gonna ruin wrestling. I should have believed him, because
he did, and eventually now he is retired. He is on.
We have Gunter possibly retiring aj Styles on this night
(01:04):
as well. We'll see how that goes. Some fun stuff
at Saturday night's main event. I don't know if he
caught that or not, but it was a fun match
with him and Shinzke hearkening back to the days of
New Japan. I actually enjoyed that they would let them
go long on that one. But this is about projecting,
This is about looking to the future, and we're gonna
give our picks today. So Tyler, you know, just the
state of WWE right now, it does feel like it's
(01:27):
time for some new blood. You've seen some NXT call ups,
You've seen the other John Evans, the Oba femes, You've
seen a lot of this stuff. Does it feel like
they're ready to kind of turn the page here on
some of this older stuff and kind of let this
new crop get after it.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
It does, and I hope they really follow through on that,
because of course the Royal Rumbles to kickoff to the
Road to WrestleMania and some of the odds we see
at the Royal Rumbull are a little bit of the
old guard a little bit, and I'm hoping that I
can trust in Triple H. He did a great job
in NXT of pushing new stars. There's a big opportunity
this year, as you mentioned, a good transition year with John.
I'm Seena out of the picture, aj Styles potentially out
(02:02):
of the picture. They can do some fun new stuff
here and inject some new life into this and they
really hope that they do.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
Please let them do this.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Please. New life is good. But locations do matter. So
let's talk about here. Because I am not happy about
WrestleMania being in Saudi Arabia in two years time. I'm
not happy about the World Rumble being in Saudi Arabia.
Also because of the time of it. Saturday afternoon is
not the time where I want to watch the World Rumble.
And I know I'm gonna get spoilers because I'm going
(02:31):
to be traveling that day we have our Fantasy Pros
Betting Pros meetings. I'm gonna be on a plane, I'm
gonna get off the plane, I'm gonna turn my phone
on and I'm gonna see the answers to the things
I don't want to see inevitably, so that's a little
frustrating to me, and I get and if it was
in England, I might feel better about it because of
such great fans. I love them, and that's not I'm
knock on the Saudi Arabian fans and I'm knocking on
any of that stuff. I think it's amazing that there's
(02:53):
an opportunity there to, you know, continue to grow the
brand and all that stuff. But there's some other issues
around the two that I just can't get past. Sometimes
it's very frustrating. But here we are, and it begs
the question too, because it is where it is. Is
that the place you pull the trigger on the new Star?
Is that the place where you do that? Or do
(03:14):
you give them the big established Roman Reigns type picks.
Let's look at what we have here, because honestly, you know,
Brown Breaker, Roman Rains, those are two guys at the
very top. There's an interesting case to be made for
sammy'sz Ain too. We could look at that as well.
You look at the odds you're getting plus one seventy
five on Roman Rains. He's the number one guy, right now,
which I understand because you get an opportunity here to
(03:35):
have the big star in the big spot here with
the big show. In Saudi Arabia where they love the
big stars. I mean they they paid to watch a
tag team match between Shawn Michael's Triple H, the Undertaker
and Kane. They paid for that. It was the most
you know what, It's still fun every now and then
to go back and watch that one. I don't know
(03:56):
what's what's worst slash best match or the Goldberg Undertaker match?
Speaker 3 (04:01):
That's all your Yeah, that's that's a tough call.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
I mean, I don't think what was it, Triple H,
Taurus peck in that the tag team or Shawn Michaels
fell on his head, hair off, his hair fell off,
Undertaker fell on his head. And it's a good point
that you mentioned being in Saudi who's making the ultimate call.
We've heard, you know, they wanted a WrestleMania and then
WWE offered, well, what about a Wrestmania themed event? They said, no, no,
(04:26):
we want a WrestleMania. And I've heard like they want
Yokozuna at WrestleMania and like Randy Savage and all these
things that are just completely impossible.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
So I'm pretty sure they're not available.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
I don't think they're available.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
So yeah, it does beg the question do we just see, Hey,
we want to see Roman Reigns, and we're paying you
a whole lot of money to see who we want
to see win and then you figure it out from there,
and that's watching. I don't know if you've watched WWE
on reel on Netflix, but you kind of see where
they will just fly by the seat of their pants
a little bit and say, we're just going to make
this call, like turning John Cena heel and we we
(04:59):
wanted to pop the crowd in Toronto an elimination chamber
and we'll figure out the rest later. So do you
worry that that's something that they do here or does
you know logic prevail and say Roman Rains probably doesn't
need to main event yet another WrestleMania.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
You know what, though, let's talk about that because you
know that's what Roman Reigns is paid to do, and
they are still paying him. And I want to set
the stage here a little bit because the top five
guys here, maybe you could do a little process of elimination.
You got Cody Rhoads a plus nine hundred, you got
gun thir plus eight fifty right working away from five
to one, you got Sammy's e and a plus five
to fifty Brown Breaker two to one, Roman Reigns a
(05:33):
plus one seventy five. I don't think we go for
the Cody Rhoads number three. I don't think we do that.
It doesn't feel that way. It feels like there's a
lot of other things we could do with Cody that
are working. I actually thought the Jacob fot two stuff
was great. That was so well booked. Jacob fot two
whoever booked that match or whatever. It ended up becoming
that brawl old school Memphis style, like they're out there
in the crowd, But it wasn't corny. It was actually good.
(05:56):
They were beating up security guys. It felt much more
like like the first you saw Unita back in the
day from Japan wrestling in Memphis and they were doing
the big brawl all over the place into the crowd
and that was like one of the first times anyone
ever did that and people are calling the cops. It
was crazy. It was good. It was more like that
than it was like the Silly Goo. Yeah, which I loved,
(06:16):
So we got stuff to do with Cody. We also
have to set the stage. Who the champs are right,
champs right now or Drew McIntire and Cempunk. Now, one
thing I will say Elimination Chamber in February is where
in Chicago. So I feel like Punk's mo O is
to put new talent over to me, that would be
bron Breaker to me, if you're gonna have a moment,
(06:37):
you want to have a moment in Chicago. There for
Cmpunk with bron Breaker and that would be Chicago, which
means to me, I think Roman Reins is actually my pick.
And again this is just kind of my projection the
things they want to do Roman Reigns versus Drew mcatire,
that would be different if that's the route we're going.
If it was Roman Rain seem Punk, I think it's
obviously a little different, and you did get a little
(07:00):
taste of that last year. I don't know if they want
to repeat that. So because of where Elimination Chamber is,
and because I think that's where you want the Sampunk's
storyline to grow from, that's kind of where I feel
like we're going to end up. So Therefore, I don't
think we pull the trigger on the new guy. I
think it's actually going to be Roman Reigns and kind
of giving the people what they want. What's your take
on the men's rumble?
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Yeah, at all good points, and I fear that you're
probably right. I mean, I don't want to say I'm
a Roman Reigns hater. It's just sort of he had
this five year run as the champion. It's sort of
like a repeat of the brock Lessner thing or the
repeat of the hul Cogan thing back in the day,
where they just keep going back to the thing that worked.
And it probably makes sense. And you're probably right. Obviously
(07:41):
bron Breaker and Seahampunk are on a crash course. At
some point, doing something in Chicago does make sense. So
do you have bron Breaker win the belt in Chicago?
Do you anoint him at WrestleMania ww's. It's sort of
this weird stage of they like that. You know, we
saw Cody Rhodes first comes back. He loses the first
WrestleMania because it will mean more down the road, and
(08:02):
that's a big Bruce Pritchard thing. He loves to have
that first big match be a loss, and then you
build it from there and you do it down the road.
So I would love to see bron Breaker win. I
think this is the perfect time to pull the trigger
and give him that royal rumble win kind of reminiscent
of Stone Cold Steve Austin in ninety seven where he
was just right there on the cusp, and this will
(08:22):
really strap a rocket to his back. But they just
seem to play it a lot safer than they used
to back in the nineties. And I think Roman reigns
he's been gone for a while, he comes back, he
gets the big victory. It sets up to stage for WrestleMania.
But to me, it's just such a boring, obvious finish
that I wish that it would just be bron Breaker
and then then let's see what we can do from there.
You could have him face Punk in Chicago, and maybe
(08:44):
you run it back again at Mania with a different stipulation.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
See I wouldn't have him face I think what I'm
pointing at is you have the opportunity there for Breaker
to win Elimination Chamber and then Punk it like Punk
probably has a defense because it's in Chicago, and then
you have that obvious moment where you play the two
of them, and you know Bron's gonna get exceptional heat
there in Chicago. You know who the babyface is gonna be.
You know Punk wants to put the kids over. So
(09:07):
I feel like that all kind of aligns for me.
The thing we're not talking about, and I don't think
there's gonna be a long shot. There's no Jay Uso
this year. I think they did that. They toyed with that.
They realize that just because you have a good entrance
doesn't mean you're gonna have a great match, doesn't mean
you're gonna be a champion, right, So I think again
small t think that they learned their lesson with that.
(09:30):
But there is a guy here who is a little
bit again not a long shot, but certainly in there.
Sammy's ain a plus five point fifty where the crowd
seems to love him there. It's been quite that turnaround
from the guy who wouldn't go there twelve a sudden.
The guy has been really embraced by the region. I
think that would get a very good reception. And then, obviously,
if you are going to finally have that underdog story
(09:53):
where you're going to finally give Sammy's Ain a title shot.
Sammy's Ain verse Drew McIntyre. I think that will be
a very good match. I think that's a match a
lot of people get involved with and be excited about.
It might be one of those double main event nights,
one where you get Cody Randy Orton, let's say, or
Cody versus somebody else with no belt involved, because Cody
doesn't need to have a belt to have a main
(10:14):
event match. And then the number two main event is
Drew McIntyre samyse and with samyse Ain winning and getting
his finally big wrestle media moment, Sammy's Ain's a lot
like mcfoldley for me, everybody loves them, everybody wants me
to have that run, and I don't think it's going
to be outside the box. And I don't think Sammy's
Ain is outside the box. But to me, Roman is
my favorite pick that I say, okay, this is the
(10:36):
easy money. But to me, the one that's a little
outside thinking is Sammy's Ain for that reason, What are
your thoughts on Sammy's Ain or do you have somebody
really that we haven't even touched on that could be
somebody who could win.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Yeah, And I think both of the next two things
I'm going to say have to do with what happens
earlier in the night, because Sammy's Ain is challenging Drew
McIntyre for the title, right, So what happens there. Does
sammys Ain lose that match with Drew McIntyre, come to
the Royal, gets that big you know, the comeback and
he gets.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
Goes over there?
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Does sam he's Ain win the title against Drew McIntyre
and he gets gets that big pop there and then
he's not in the Royal rumble at all.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Like there's a couple of things they can do.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
When you said Mick Foley, it made me think of
how little Vince McMahon and by extension, Triple Ah trusted
Mick Foley and they sort of just put the title
on him almost by default, and they didn't really trust
him to have one of those long runs. And I
think that's something similar with Sammy's Ain, where it's sort
of like he's a good hand, we like him, we
(11:32):
can put him in any situation. Are we going to
put the belt on him and let him have a
six month run as the champion? I don't know. I
don't know if they like him quite that much. He's
a lovable guy. He's always going to be your babyface.
But is it enough to win the Royal Rumble go
on to WrestleMania for one of the main two main
events that I don't know, but I think a name
that could be a possibility is gunther And now this
(11:55):
relates to what happens with AJ Styles earlier in the
night as well. AJ Style, I think has kind of
quietly gone on this same retirement to wur that John Seedad.
He's just not talking about it. He's wrestled Finn Balor,
He's wrestled John Cena last night on Raw, he wrestled
Seampunk for the World Championships. So he's been talking about
I want to, you know, kind of do these greatest
hits things similar to Seedadd. He's already been doing that,
(12:18):
and I think that's kind of gone under the radar
a little bit. I would not be surprised at all
if AJ Styles loses at the Royal Rumble and his
career is done, in which case, gunthr is probably not
going to win the Royal Rumble. But if they, you know,
want to pull one of those things and Styles has
a few more months left or whatever he wants to
retire at media. Maybe Guntherer loses that match to aj
Styles and he comes back at the Royal Rumble and
(12:40):
just decimates everybody and gets that win.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Maybe. Look, I'm a big Gunther fan. You know that.
He's one of my guys. Always has been, back to
the Walter days and the independent scene in Europe. Always
been a big fan of his. Like I would love
to see an Obafemi like rocket Ship, it's not gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
He gets the most elimination, So that's my bet.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
And I was gonna say, okay, let's talk most eliminations.
I think Obafem he's definitely that guy that I hear
Mark two. So we're in agreement. So if you're looking
for things like specials like most eliminations, that would be
the one. If you're looking for an iron man, that's
an interesting one to talk about too. I will say this,
you know the La Night thing, I'm not buying any
of that either, Like we're suppressing the La Night stuff
so we can get him to come back and have that.
(13:21):
I just don't see that. But to me, it's Roman
reigns at sam's Ain and I think the arc of
Sammy's Ain losing in the open to Drew McIntyre and
then winning the Royal Rumble would be a fascinating full
circle kind of moment there where you go, oh my god,
they're gonna have this rematch and then you've got a
lot of heat in this program where it's like I
already beat you, but you want now you get this
(13:41):
other chance, Like this is like that classic underdog as
you said, make them wait for its story. Right, you
lost the first time, you're just doing it instead of
in a year's time, you're doing it in this, you know,
a couple months or four month span, which I think
is probably more palatable for WWE with Sammy's Ain at
the top of the car. But I don't necessarily mean
it will be the main event just because it's the
(14:01):
championship match. More it could be a women It could
be a women's match as well. Yeah, let's not role
out that possibility. Also, speaking of the women, let's talk
about the favorites for this one. Bianca bell Air at
the top for the Women's Royal Rumble plus one seventy
five You got Live Morgan plus two twenty five. Then
you've got a big drop off here, Tiffany Stratton plus
eight hundred, rear Ripley nine hundred, Rock San Perez eighteen hundred.
(14:24):
You've got the aj Lee potentially in there. You've got
a lot of people believe you're gonna get a returning page.
I would love Chelsea Green to win it. I would
love Chelsea Green to just win something because I just
really enjoy Chelsea Green stick. I just think she's she's
earned it to me, the opportunity, and I think she
would have a great comedy Heel Championship run that would
(14:47):
be actually more like a I don't know, a heel
run that everybody would really just kind of love her
and she would be a fan favorite in it, and
it would be very tricky to book, but I think
she could do it. There's a lot of great young
stars here, right you have the rox Amperez's, you have
the Lyra Valkyries. You have a lot of this talent too,
you know is really coming on lately, and obviously right
now is Champs. You have Sephanie Vacuor and you have
(15:10):
on the other side Jade Cargill. So obviously understand why
Bianca Bell Air is at the top, but does that
make her the top pick for you to win the
Rumble this year?
Speaker 2 (15:18):
No, And I think Bianca bel Air, first of all,
she doesn't need to win the Royal Rumble. She's been
off for nine months with an injury, so to come
back instantly win the Royal Rumble it WWE does. With
the women, there are much fewer surprises in the women's division.
I find they have their established stars and they run
with them and sometimes they'll pull a rabbit out of
(15:39):
the hat. So I think for that reason, Bianca bell
Air is there because you set up the Jade Cargo
match at WrestleMania, you know, wipe your hands and go
there we go. I think Live Morgan is probably the
way she's been positioned lately. You had last night on
ross Sea and Punk is talking to Finn Balor saying
you need to leave the Judgment Day if you want
a title shot. Maybe the Judgment Day starts turning into
(16:00):
more of a female faction with liv Morgan at the
head of that. I'm glad you mentioned Chelsea Green would
be like if wrestling was real and I was betting
twenty five to one on Chelsea Green. It's such a
no brainer because what she's and you think you see too.
She's at every single promotional event. She was just at
the Leaf's game when they were in Toronto, at the
Canadians game where in the Montreal they send her.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
To sleep drinks. She loves this love, she loves it.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Man, so as the US champ, great, what else is
you know, what are you going to do with her
from here? She can go too. That's the other thing, like,
yeah she's a comedy wrestler.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
But she's been able. She's great.
Speaker 3 (16:38):
Yeah she's great.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
So that will take risks, she'll take bums, she's great.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
That to me would be if you want to pull
a surprise. Chelsea Green is the perfect handed. I don't
think aj Lee's you know, she's on a full time contract,
but not really. Don't think she's there enough for it
to make sense. Ria Ripley, it's kind of the same
situation to me as Bianca, as she just doesn't need
the win, especially in that women's division. I think ausome
guy is probably gonna do something with Becky Lynch at
(17:02):
WrestleMania there too. So to me, bel Air just coming
back off injury, I think it's almost too obvious of
the pick where I like Live Morgan. I think she's
finally poised at that position, get a big rumble win,
go to WrestleMania.
Speaker 3 (17:14):
This this just seems.
Speaker 2 (17:15):
Like to me, like if not now never for her,
So I would I would bet her if I was
gonna bet that.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Well, let's talk about that, because you know, part of
the rumble is projecting main events for WrestleMania, right That's
exactly what we're doing here. So I think everybody's pushing
for the Bianca Bellair Jade Car Gill and if she
can't go, then you have the Jordan Grace backup plan,
like just in case the injury really you know, is troublesome.
But that doesn't feel like that's the place we're going.
But Stephanie Vekorr, right now, do you think she becomes
(17:42):
the champion at WrestleMania that we're gonna be challenging for
if it is a Live Morgan winner, or do you
kind of flip things around at some point you have
Stephanie Vicker drop the title to somebody else between now
and WrestleMania, and you have Live Morgan Orr. There's another
option too, where the Chelsea Green option, which is again
what we're rooting for in a fun way here in
our hearts and then our minds two different things. It
(18:06):
is difficult to project. I don't is Live Morgan's deephanely
occur the Women's Championship in in your mind? Is that
the match at WrestleMania? That one I'm not sure of?
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, And I was when I was looking at the
champions earlier today to do the same thing, to peace
out sort of who goes where? And that's the one
I look at and go like, I just don't. I
don't know, like is she in that spot to hold
that spot?
Speaker 3 (18:30):
You know?
Speaker 2 (18:30):
At WrestleMania. If Live Morgan wins and nothing changes on
the championship side, I feel like that's the obvious one
because you can, like you said, pair bel Air and
or Jordan Grace with Cargil. You could even do a
three way match to kind of protect protect Jade Cargill
a little bit. Chelsea Green winning means you could do anything.
You could have her go after the intercontinental title of
Becky Lynch, You could ever go after an NXT title
(18:50):
if you wanted to. It almost gives you a get
out of jail free card if you don't want a
women's match in the main event because Chelsea Green doesn't
need to be there. She should be, but she doesn't
necessarily have to be. So if liv Morgan wins, does
she challenge Jade Cargill? Know that's me doesn't make sense.
She probably challenges Stephanie vakuor if she's still the champion
at that point. But we got a long time between
(19:12):
now and WrestleMania, and I don't know if she's going
to be the champion up until that point. Maybe we
see La Valkyrie do something there too, but that's that's
the question mark to me.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Well, and of course they're big main event wrestlers rear
Ripley too, so that is always the interesting part too,
is like, well, if you're looking for the establishment star, right,
if you go with Sammy's Ain or a bron Breaker,
then maybe it is a real Ripley at the end
of the day. And the fact that you're getting what
you're getting right now in real Ripley at nine to
one is kind of stunning to me, to be honest
with you, Like, I think you know, just because she's
(19:45):
in this situation with Eel right now doesn't mean that
that's necessarily forever, and I think I think most fans
would agree. The highlight of last year's WrestleMania was that
three way match that you had with the women. I
mean it ended on such a strong note. I say,
began in such a strong note. There was like this
weird peak where you had the night one main event
(20:06):
in the three way match, and then you had the
next match and everything was trending up and they all
just kind of fell apart at the end. It was
this very weird slow build and then the fall apart
at the very end. I could hear that Fiend song
in my head right now just playing and watching Walk
to the Ring over and over. But it is fascinating
because they could again give us that little swerve where
they give us instead of the big men's obvious thing,
(20:30):
they give us the big women's obvious thing, which would
be Rhea Ripley. You're getting a very strong number on
that one. Is there a case for Rhea Ripley? Because again,
when you're booking out this far and you're booking a
WrestleMania and you're doing it in Vegas again, you want
to put on the biggest show you can. Ria Ripley,
I think is still your biggest star for sure.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
I mean, you can always make a case for Riha
Ripley to win anything at any time.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
I mean, as you said, she's sort of the Roman
Reigns of the women's division. She is invincible and almost
for that reason is why you of course have this
the history already between Rhea Ripley and Live Morgan from
the whole dominic mysterio angle. So I do see that match.
How they get there, I don't know. You could have
a Live win. Think she's challenging thekor and then ree
Ripley gets the title and then it ends up being
(21:13):
this crash course where she was afraid of Rhea Ripley
and now all of a sudden she has to face her.
So I think you have that built in the question.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
That's an interesting three way. Stephanie to live and.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Loves the three ways and the doorways for the women.
Speaker 1 (21:28):
They love the trios. Everybody gets a big moment wrestle
Mania everybody gets and trios matches are hard to do,
to be honest, and really hard to book. It's rare.
They come off very well. It was odd that they
had two on one weekend that were actually the best
two matches of the weekend, so I think you might
be onto something there. I think the Rea Ripley one's
kind of interesting, so live Morgan Ria Ripley. Those are
(21:48):
our two favorite bets there. I think collectively, I think
we're both fading Bianca for now. I think Chicago Elimination
Chamber better moment for her again. Looking ahead shy Town
Bianca bel Air. That just feels right to me. It
just feels like that's where the pop's gonna be. That's
where the moment is, and have a little bit more
desperation and build that a little bit more, have some
more time to build that tension back up between the
(22:10):
two of them. I think that works. Speaking of building
up things, we've built up an incredible base here on
our discord bettingpros dot Com slash chat. It's free, it's fun,
and you can go there and get expert picks for NFL,
Major League Baseball's around the corner, NHL's going right now, NBA,
you got March Madness coming up. All of it's there live,
betting player props everything. Matt Praultz there doing amas so
(22:30):
check it out right now. Bettingpros dot Com slash chat
again on our discord. It's free and of course if
you have premium access to get access to more channels
as well. Tyler always great to talk wrestling with you.
I'm sad that aj Styles is on a retirement tour.
I don't like this. Maybe he goes to TNA and
has a little run on the new network AMC thing.
Maybe that's where he wants to finish out, you know,
(22:52):
from the heart. Maybe that would kind of be a
fun thing to see. But whatever it is, we'll be
watching it. How are you gonna avoid spoilers, that's the question,
or you're just gonna watch it live?
Speaker 2 (23:02):
As you mentioned New Dads. So I'm at home, We're
not going anywhere on Saturday. So Saturday two pm is
actually kind of a nice time that the Royal Rumble
drinking games are a thing of the past for me.
So Saturday at two pm, as best I can, I
will be I will be watching live. And I have
to ask do we see Chris Jericho in Saudi? And
do we see Will Hobbs aka Royce? Is it Royce Keys?
(23:26):
Are those the two Royce Keys?
Speaker 1 (23:27):
I don't. I think you get Royce Keys and NXT first,
I do think so I think you get I do.
I think they're gonna give him a little NXT polish.
I think the same route of look. I'd love to
see Ethan Page. You know, I'm a big fan of
Wan's see more Ethan Page. You saw what they did
to Ricky Stark's aka not Ricky Stark anymore now Ricky sayts.
But I do like that they have started to push
(23:50):
some of the new Town from n X almost so
much that you're like, oh my god, what's going to
be left at NXT. They need to replenish it. But
I think it's good. I think this year of on
Sina I think took its toll, and it sort of
took the wind out of the sales of an organization
that was like, I mean, I don't think after WrestleMania
forty the business has ever been hotter save the Attitude era, right,
(24:12):
that's probably the hottest it's been Monday Night War's Attitude
era and probably the original like we're talking about going
back to the early days of WrestleMania into WrestleMania three
and then probably WrestleMania forty would be like the third
I would think.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
And I hope they learned their lesson not to trust
the part timers quite so much, or the people like
Travis Scott who they put so many eggs in the
rock and Travis scott basket just for them to say, Nope,
not doing it. And John Cena will talk his way
around it every single time and tell you what you
did get out of it. But I think I hope
that they learned their lesson of let's go with the
(24:45):
people who were here all the time. But yeah, interesting
one on Jericho. I saw that his Fozzy tour was
announced and he's got no Monday dates, but he's got
lots of Wednesday night dates.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
So.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Interesting. Yeah, I do think we see Chris Jericho and
that'll be a fun pop for the Saudi Arabia crowd
for sure. And I also imagine we'll get one or
two other fun little wrinkles in there too, because that's
what the rumble's all about. Fascinating to also watch how
the ESPN reaction is too, because again they didn't necessarily,
you know, pay for this deal, thinking they weren't getting
(25:18):
a primetime event. It's two o'clock in the afternoon. The
consumption of that's going to be really interesting to see
because with everything breaking and news breaking. You know, by
the time you get out of soccer with Junior or
my case, flag football with my daughter or whatever is
going on, you kind of know already what's going on.
You kind of know the results. Does that kind of
take away a little bit from the audience there?
Speaker 2 (25:40):
That ESPN deal in Canada, So what's on Netflix for us?
So I forgot that it's on ESPN there, which, yeah,
that's going to be interesting because they and it's on ESPN.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
And if you pay for ESPN like I do with Exfinity,
you still don't have access to it, which is ridiculous,
Like you make me pay for twice. I don't think so,
I don't think. So that's when those three little letters
VPN coming. Get everything on Netflix. That's what you do.
So that'll do it for us. We'll be back obviously,
We've got Elimination Chamber coming up in a few weeks
(26:13):
not far away, so we'll see when the dust settles
from Rumble what it looks like, and of course WrestleMania
as well. Tyler's great talk to you. Great to see you,
I'm sure for you, it's nice to talk to someone
who is not under the age of five and then
