Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome into episode one hundred and twenty four of Bring
Heaven Down. My name is Tim and I'm the host
of this daily devotional podcast. Now, this podcast has not
published for about two weeks, and the reason why is
because my wife had her third baby. We had our

(00:21):
third baby, a little girl, born on October twenty first,
at seven eight pm, six pounds thirteen ounces. She's our
third baby. We have a three year old girl, a
one and a half year old boy, and now a

(00:44):
baby girl that is just over two weeks old. So
I've been on paternity lea for these last two weeks,
and I had originally planned to record some podcast episodes
and scaledule them out so that the podcast is still
publishing during my paternity leave, but baby Janey joined us unexpectedly.

(01:12):
Her due date was October twenty sixth, that's a Sunday.
And our first girl, whose three was born a week late.
Our second, a son, was born three days late, and
we just kind of anticipated that our third would be

(01:39):
close to the d date, if not a day or
two late. As my wife was still working. And when
you really study this stuff, typically the body can't fully
relax un tell you allow it to and My wife

(01:59):
worked the Monday before our baby was born on Tuesday,
and she was scheduled to work on Wednesday and Friday,
but the Lord had different plants and we had our
baby on Tuesday. And what's so interesting about it is,
we were up really early that Tuesday morning, at like

(02:20):
two thirty in the morning, and my wife started having
some early contractions, so we called the midwife on call.
Because we have given birth at a birth center, not
a hospital, for all three of our kids, which we've
really loved and enjoyed that experience, so we called the
midwife on call and told her things are picking up,

(02:43):
and she told us to try to go back to sleep,
so we did for a little bit. I went to
church the next morning for a little meeting. I then
took my wife on a date while her dad watched
our two kids, and then we went to gymnastics for
our oldest and then we went back home, ate some lunch,

(03:08):
rested and took a nap in our bed while our
other two kids took a nap and rested in their rooms.
And then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, contractions
started picking up like crazy, and I called in the
babysitter aka my mother in law to come pick up
our kids so that we could labor at home for

(03:30):
a little bit before we went into the Burst Center.
And we got to the Burst Center at four forty
pm Central time and things were slowly picking up, and
then out of nowhere, two and a half hours later,
our third baby was born. And the beautiful thing of

(03:54):
a burs center is that we didn't stay overnight. We
went home home four hours later and got home at
eleven thirty. So this was one of the craziest days
of my life because of everything that happened. It woke
up at two thirty in the morning with some early contractions,

(04:16):
nothing too serious, went to work, took my wife on
a date, went to gymnastics, laid down, going to the
Burst Center, have a baby, and then you're home four
hours later, all in one day. And it is such
a blessing. The Lord has been so faithful to our family,
and it brings me a heart of gratitude. And Psalm

(04:43):
seven three says children are a gift from the Lord,
they are a reward from him. And my study notes
says this, children are God's go gift and a sign
of his favor. And I don't want to divulge too

(05:06):
much on this podcast because I want this to be
really the topic for the rest of the week, the
blessing that it is to have children. But I just
wanted to touch on why this podcast hadn't been released or
published or where I was, and that's why. But it's back.

(05:30):
We're back to doing daily devotional podcasts, and I appreciate
you listening, and I appreciate your patience, and I hope
you all have been doing really well while I have
been out of pocket. If you have a question, a topic,
a concern, a disagreement, just something you want to tell me,
