Episode 293 is HERE and The Boys brought in the big guns with none other than Nickmercs! Nick was a pioneer in the streaming industry with his early start in COD Ghost, to his blowup years playing Fortnite. Nick is now a father and a husband and is learning how to balance his full-time streaming job with family.

Recently Nick has also had to deal with controversy surrounding his stream. Twitch banned him for the use of a word that he at the time did not know was a slur. Nick is here to set straight that he has love for anyone and everyone and wishes a happy healthy life to all. However, Nick is strong in his convictions and beliefs. So much so that seeing the tyranny happening worldwide led him to attempt joining the Navy Seals.

Nick grew up wrestling and boxing. He comes from a family of CFB, and NFL talent. Something his father very much pushed him toward as a young kid. Nick had other plans. He and his dad (now extremely close) often fought when he was growing up, due to his Dad's lack of understanding the "gaming community" at its early stages. Nick and his father both talk about their healing relationship on the bus and how it now has effected Nick's outlook on raising his own son.

The brand that Nick has built is still growing to this day, as he is now looking to enter back into competitive gaming. He reminisces with Taylor and Will on his Gears of War MLG days.. his hunger for competition and the feeling of accomplishment that he gained from winning tournaments.

Taylor then talks ball and recaps watching Michigan's loss to Texas. Nick being a lifelong Michigan fan chimes in with his thoughts on the Wolverines. Both, then amp up Will's Cornhuskers. Could Nebraska officially be back? Will tells us his thought on the resurgence of The Big Red and his hype videos that he is making for Nebraska's home games in 2024.

We hope you enjoy this episode! We hope Mitch's timestamps below meet your expectations. We hope you look under your pillow later tonight.. and who knows.. maybe find a big hug.. and just the tinniest lil kiss you've ever seen!

Enjoy!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Over here. We got him here perfect timing, perfect, You're
just worth three minutes into our intro, get on introducing
Nick Merks.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Comeing, what's up, brother, Get in here.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
We got you a seat.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
I was hoping to come. Come. I was telling you
will Yeah, that's what we were just.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
One taking note for an answer, got twisted?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
What are we man?

Speaker 4 (00:43):
Living?

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Live and listen?

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Give me one second to re collect my thoughts. I'm
high on a lucy right now. Let me get dialed in.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Like I was saying, he came at a perfect time.
We're breaking down Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
So so when you win, when you win so much,
the world gets used to you winning the regular season.
People feel it all the time. My another Michigan Saturday
mission's gonna win all Misian's away.

Speaker 3 (01:13):
They're gonna win with that.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
You stop, you stop knowing that feeling with losses, you
stop understanding why you play the game. Because you win
all the time. What makes the win so great anybody
the losses, because when you know what it's like to lose,
the winning, the feeling that Will Compton has right now,
it wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for the last
ten years of his life. If it has stopped over everybody.
Every single day being Colorado fifty billion to zero, it'd

(01:39):
be like, yep, another day at the office. But because
Will's done the trials and tribulations, he understands these boy,
you only get so many opportunities every fall, and you
got to make the most of them. Now your team's
sitting at two and zero and you guys are in
the top twenty five. That's incredible. Now, Michigan losing is
the best teacher you can have. It's the best teacher

(02:02):
because now when we get back to winning, it's gonna
make it that much more of a better feeling. You're
gonna walk in those saturdays because I guarantee you them
boys when they when they won last couple of years,
it's kind of like, yeah, we knew we were gonna win.
Of course, we knew we're gonna win. Blake Korn, he's
been eating corn his whole life. That those types of time,
that kind of arrogance that you get, that's a teacher.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
In hype video for Michigan that was a tough and
said you couldn't motivate me to get out of bed bro.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
That was a tough one.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I hope the Boys pull it up a little bit
because it was you'd have some fluctuation in your.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Voice when you do it.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Do I think Michigan's dead?

Speaker 3 (02:35):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Are we as good as we were last year?

Speaker 3 (02:37):
No?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
But guess what. That's what happens when you leave your loser,
uh head coach, your DC, your DB's coach, your wide
receiver coach, your head stringth coach, and eighteen players to
the draft. You're gonna have a step take a little
step back now, Sharon Morris, he's the right guy to
have in there. You're gonna keep that boat motoring. You
got five new offense linemen. They're gonna continue to gel.
They didn't have the best game, but I will say this,

(02:57):
I thought protection was pretty good. And if Colston Loveland
hit catches that ball and stride that Warren missed him
on in the second quarter, might be talking about a
whole different game. We might be talking about a long
horn loss. That's what we might be talking about.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Now.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
He's going horseshoes and hand grenades right close. Doesn't cut
it in the game of football. It doesn't fucking cut it.
So we're just going to keep on moving forward. We
got our Kansas state coming up this week at home.
Thank God love you called it ar Kansas because that's
what it is.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
That's what it is.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
That's what it is. Is it Kansas? Yes, at ar
ar Kansas. Boom will play them. They're twenty eight and
a half point favorites. I don't know if we're covering that,
but I know that Dub's coming. I don't know if
we're going to cover that, but the Bully's going to
continue to gel. They need to continue to gel. Here's
what I'll say about the trip. So we were just
breaking down our trip.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Yeah, right, we were able to. We were able to.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
We were able to fly private from from National. Flex
is necessary because it's it's it's only a flex. If
you're not, you don't have gratituy behind it. And it
was an epic and epic twenty seven hours go from
Nashville to an arbor and arboral Lincoln, next morning, Lincoln.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
In to National things. That's what I want to interjeg.
But he's cooking right now, so you're thinking let him him.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Thinking to myself, like do I post about the private jet?
And then and then quickly I was like fuck, yes
you do. Like we don't do this everywhere. When we're
eating wings from mister Spots on the jet Lincoln, I'm
had that thought process. We had ice cream waiting for
emotional ice cream. Emotional you really needed that.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
We're flying back. He's like, hey, the drivers asked if
we could put think about ice cream caramel sprinkle. Get
right my feelings the entire because it is like people
do get weird about the whole posting about a private jet.
If you get on a private jet, it's an experience.
It's an experience, and what we want social media to
not show experiences all of a sudden.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
That's the line you got.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Of influences that would go and just runt a space
that looked like a private jet, would flex about it. Yeah,
people were all to that.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Right, Oh that's the thing.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
I think you.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
Did it a couple of times. Yeah, yeah, real holy
feld pops. Yeah, remember we used to we would do
the PJ to the helicopter. Yes, sir, who's's weird type ship?
The bang? The bang PJ to.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
A helicopter is a weird transition. You're just helicopter to
p J.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
What were you doing? Went from the went from the
big island to like the big island to the little islands.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
You get it.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
Dang, dang, dang, you know, and then you're on the beach.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
What the islands are we talking about here?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Billionaire's playgrounds?

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Man, Yeah, I heard about there. I had a weird
thing about aviation.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
I know that little landing strip when you kind of
go down.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
It was dangerous. You're gonna go right, and then you
just duck in.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
You're like, oh, okay, it's good, cool twin prop going in.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
It's worth it. Yeah. All the food, yeah, it is
worth it.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Do you have mister spots wings?

Speaker 3 (05:50):
There no.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Wings?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Billionaire chicken. Wing's gotta be asked. There's no way billions.
Everything's good. That's good. I'm happy you took your boys
in the PJ.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Man.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
That experience had to be fucking nuts, man, And at
least we ended the day on it on a high, because, dude,
if both teams would have lost, don't ever get out
of PJ.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
No, no, back at the plane on the way home,
commercial commercial. We might even walk back.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Well, crazy man, how are you feeling about what you
saw from Michigan?

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Oh yeah, yeah, I'm popping down. Hold man, Yeah, Pops
is down. Horrible it's all bad. Is that the peak?

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, you're a big Michigan guy to
coach man coach, oh yeah yeah, get the like yeah yeah.
How do you guys feel about watching the Michigan Wolverines
and secular because I feel you guys lost a lot
on they look back. Georgia they had fifteen draft in
twenty twenty two before they repeated in twenty three. So

(06:46):
the it's like the fall from being on top of
the world. It just feels like that's not an outfiture.
Happy about putting alcohold up.

Speaker 3 (06:54):
To a be autimistic on the podcast. You got to
be real keeping no.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
No, but before you keep it real, before you keep
it real, understand this. Georgia Alabama, those teams get five
stars every single day. We are three, We get the
three stars and the four stars and a sneak couple
five from down south, and then we developed those cats.
So the drop off.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
Over here, and you know, we're used to seeing Corum
and and and and and.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
JJ McCarthy, all of them.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Man.

Speaker 6 (07:23):
You know, even on the defense sand we're still and
all these guys make their plays and then and then
they're not there this year and the smallest, and it's
just we're not used to that.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
It's how are you feeling on Saturday? Because if you're
holding a lot in right now, I gotta here, I
gotta feel. This is a pod where you feel your emotion.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
Actually, I actually actually kind of left for a while
and walked around.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
He gets a little sad. You know, well, we get beating
up for bro. Look, hey man, you gotta you gotta
live off that championship. They don't come around often. Come
on championship. We're still the fucking reigning defending champions. Eat
a dick, bro, you know what I mean. Sorry I'm saying.
You know, they can know they want right until until
there's a new champion. It's it's us.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, that's who listened to the port Noy video and
he's like, he's right, we are defending man.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
By the way, what are you? How what's it? Are you?
And him? Like? You guys are cool?

Speaker 4 (08:14):
Right? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Yeah, we're talking about that ship too, man, Okay, I
talked about it. Well, sometimes sometimes I feel like he
he loves you, but he hates you. That's sure. Yeah,
it's like a weird thing.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Just love language, loves to be mean. Okay, he loves
to try to get under your skin. He likes to
get you going, get you active.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah, Dave openly gets on this guy. Yeah, well he does.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
He gets on.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
It's like, you know, it's like the easiest card to
pull when something happens. You just gotta eat. You're not
gonna make every point.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
What a rock.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
What a rocky say? It's not about how hard you
can hit. It's about hard you can get hit and
keep moving forward to that. That's what it's like when
you're for like cringey, like cringe.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
It's a cringey. It's too early in the pipe. By
the way. You know what I love about this pod?
When you move, I feel you move, man.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Yeah, yeah, that's just the vibrations that we're really in it.
Yeah yeah, we're actually in the Yeah, Like if you.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
Get I'm gonna feel it, you know, right on.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yeah, it was a tough game. It was a tough
game on Saturday. It was a tough game Saturday at noon.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Boys didn't look good.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
There's not there's not a whole lot of ho to
hang our hat on. As far as like we can
get excited because of X Y and Z. Kicker got
a good kicker. We got a damn good kicker, right.
I don't think anybody in the nation's best with our kicker.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
But you gotta stop man.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Half quarterack right now, here's my here's my number.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
To lose half the games this year? What are you doing?
I'm just being real.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
You can't go with this whole war then national champions
until it.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
Was a great year. But but if we're looking at
this one, man, we we can't score points. Can't score points.
That quarterback is not ready yet. The offensive line is
not ready yet. Yeah, they'll gel throughout the year. But
we're gonna lose to the Ohio State. We're gonna lose
the m s U. We're gonna lose the and Stay.
We're gonna lose the Oregon, Illinois. We might even lose Illinois.
We're gonna lose. That is the most ridiculous thing I've

(10:08):
ever back to this pot Look. Part of being fans,
you gotta be real, man, just expect expected to be bad.
That was really bad.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Every week you got to go in thinking you're gonna win.
As a fan, here's the problem. Michigan fans are like
you because when we we had to leave the game
earlier We knew that going into it. So in the
third quarter we did leave, and as we're leaving, traffic's
beatifictly we had to make the we had to make
that was already it was already.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
Taylor. Taylor wanted to Taylor wanted to stay the entire time,
and even leading up to say, hey, we gotta get
time out to give Taylor, give Taylor credit this the
entire At first, like a couple of months ago, it
was gonna be all Nebraska that day, like that was
the game. We're gonna go to Nebraska. Then we were
gonna go to the walls. It was just hanging in
front of Michigan USC. Yeah, yeah, we're gonna go to

(10:58):
Michigan USC and split it up. But once we combined them,
it was like, hey, the priority was always Nebraska on
week two in Colorado. So when we snuck that in
and figured out how to do it, he wanted to
stay the whole game, and I was like, Bro, we cannot.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Yeah, if you want to be positive here today, bro,
Nebraska kind of looks they look good. They kind of
looked good. They look good, they look good, and.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
Here's they got it all, man.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
They got they got a good defense. You know you
had them people fired up. Man fired up, Bro, they
were fired up. You saw a little bit. Oh my
stands are going nuts, Bro.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
I need to feel you.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
The stadium of the Go Big Red.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
It was truly like one of the greatest feelings in
my life.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
Yeah, because we all Husker.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Fans just laid on the line and like Taylor saying
earlier for the last decade, like this place wants something,
a good product to root for it. And it seems
like the culture that coach rules building and just the
engagement that they had from the first quarter through the
fourth quarter, like the songs they're playing, the stuff they're putting,
like even the little Hamster in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
To keep everybody in game. The Hampster.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
So everybody just dialed in. Like the optimism and the
juice right now in the city is real cusser fans
all over the country, and you know that's what everybody's
fired up about. Like, yes, we're two and oh we're
all we got got our chest out, we're smiling, we're
feeling good. But it's like more than that, it's like
we've been down for a minute and we know that
we have a brand that you can root for and

(12:25):
believe in if you just get the right guys, the
right coach, the right players, and like that's building up.
So there's a lot more pride outside of just being
to No, it's just that you're feeling it all come
together for real.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
There's a couple of passes in the game where Rayla
kind of missed the guy or the dude dropped it.
Anything Rayla did, you could just hear it with me
and Will kind of joking about it, but also everyone
around like, man, he's just got it. One of his
office he ran up and help was like see team
guy as halftime, like guys are running in rails walking.

(12:57):
He looks at he was saying, hey, stay here a
year As he's walking, it's just like kids walking up.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Kids, a freshman talking with him and the coach. He
wanted to go for it and the coach is like, no,
come on, go for it. Coach like get go over here,
and then he has calm down, calm down. The kid
wanted to go for it. Man, it was like I
forgot how much they needed ready to go.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
He's he's getting dangerous towards like kind of creepy with
his Patrick Mahome stuff though, yeah, yes, yes, but even
the pregames. Have you seen the clip of him, him
and Mahomes right next to each other and Mahomes is
doing his.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
He's right, he's right, and he does this.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
It's the same thing, and it's the same dress.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
He's inspired, he's inspired, he's inspired.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
If he does this, if he does this, he's gonna
end up in a Michael Jordan Kobe Bryant situation where
he can never be the goat now because he basically
did the same thing. What watch his clip. That's Patrick
Mahomes the same number, same number.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
God, that makes it now.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
The kids, the kids are stuff.

Speaker 3 (13:59):
Star man are no question, no question. You had you
had your poster and your quarterback in the league right
now right.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
Yeah, yeah, he's he's the baby guilt right now, at
his stage of his career.

Speaker 3 (14:09):
Only one Tom, Yeah, well right now in the league,
right now, in this many years in the league, and Tom,
you compare those side by side?

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Pat is better.

Speaker 3 (14:18):
Oh, he's right. Super Bowls, I think touchdown for so long.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
It's scary, it's scary. And you kind of got the
Josh Allens and Lamar Jackson's the Joe Burrows. These guys
are kind of like the Mannings in a way where
it's like you gotta beat Pat or Tom Brady and
you know they they're gonna get there.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
They I hope they do.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
I hope they do.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
The first team we got it backed up for a
second because we glossed over it.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Yeah, I'll go back to it. Use no fucking way.
We're losing to Michigan State. You gotta stop with that talk.
Is that what you're talking about? Gloss and over? Yeah,
that's what I'm talking about. You cannot go and just
start pepper and we're gonna lose. I think you said
Penn State. We don't play Penn State this year? Like
we you just start glossing over.

Speaker 3 (15:01):
I'm just throwing Listen.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
We've lost a lot of guys and there's a lot
of development to happen. But Sharon Moore is the guy.
What I don't like. Here's what I don't like. Wink
came from the Giants. I played Wink multiple times when
he was with the Giants and in other places. The
exotic blitzes and all those things. It's great when you're
playing a quarterback that can't dissect the defense. The way
that I keep sucking up his last time, quitting yours

(15:25):
the way he did. But if you if you throw those,
you need to sometimes you just need to go.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Man.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
I mean he's the best, right He's impressive. It's an
impressive cat. Look at this, that's you right now, that
was me on Saturday.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
Yeah, but you know, you get in the sauna, you
have a fucking iced tea in your back. But you
got to remember, that's what it was.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
That's what it was, was past tense. Now we got
to look towards the future. And I'm not listen. Am
I gonna sit here and say we're gonna for sure
win the Natty? No, but we can sit there and
say one lost. Teams can still go to the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
Twelve one loss.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
But you're you're putting the car before the horse. You're
just putting l's in our category. Right now, there's only
one Okay, right now, there's only one. And we got
our Kansas State next week.

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Let's let's go. Then we got another muffin around the bus,
and let's just everybody say how many losses on the season,
just for fun. No, that's not fun. Are you a
Michigan Are you a Michigan.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Thoughts when you were a schedule, publish schedule and let's just.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Go around the bus man.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
You know, you know how hard it is to take
a video for a minute a half and flex that
hard the whole time. You know how hard it is
to do looking though, man, thanks brother, I was doing
the trappecially after that loss. You know it right now,
My hair is my hair is telling you we lost.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
You see that. Yeah, the song and the t's got
you back in the game, though, Yeah, you get your back, you.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Keep sure and we can get the schedule.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
And I appreciate.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Yet's not let's focus on not being nasty, all right,
let's focus on.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
It's not listening. If we say a loss, it doesn't
mean nasty.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
No, no, no no. But if you're a couple of weeks,
yeah we just not.

Speaker 1 (16:47):
I would say, you guys, your assholes should be tight
against USC Illinois Oregon, Dude, I'm bro. Illinois is is
not like maybe it's not a walk in the park. Yeah,
Kansas is ranked and they have a good team. Bro, Like,
we have Illinois in two weeks and that's not a game.
I am sleeping on, bro.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
They gotta go out to to the to the Northwest
to Man at Washington. It's not the same team. We're
not either rights. That might be a hard game Washington
true first awaken. I'm just saying that we have a
really hard schedule, and to lose to Texas the way
we did at home like that, I see five losses

(17:29):
soon possible here.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
That's that's what I wanted to go back to, like
defending national champions The high that Michigan fans were on
for the majority of that stadium to leave early.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
In that actually happened was that, Oh, I didn't know
that you were waiting to talk of.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
People leaving the same pace and as good as and
you know, he's ruined my day a couple of times.
On College Football twenty five. Mason Graham Graham, Mason Mason Graham,
Mason Graham, some of his body language as one of
the best players on the team and a leader, some
of his body language was not exciting.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
It was tough contrast that an animal.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
You need your animals to be corraling cats like you know,
you remember.

Speaker 3 (18:15):
Do the whole time that that offensive line, I mean
you you mean, you know.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
But so they got a kid, they got a kid
that might be a first.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
It seemed like they were calling it in. Yeah, it
seemed like they were packing it in walking to the sideline.
And that's just me being real about it, Like I
I think that kid is a stud.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
I didn't like I didn't like Mason Graham's energy.

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
There was one where the second quarter.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
This was on the other side of the field, away
from the student section and the second quarter and they
called the time out and they started walking over. Defense
kind of jogs over and Mason was walking and that
bothered me.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Defensive huddle himself outside of after.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Halftime, I walked back. He's on the bike.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Yeah, I walked past Bile.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
It just you brought up a good, great point during
the game, Indian Hutchinson would have been losing his fucking mind.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
And then the.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Contact, by the way, God, every play all over the place. Hey, listen,
we've saitt on this Pocket White guys are making a comeback.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
I love I love your all White. I love that.
I think we're getting cooked, but it's but it's getting better.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Yeah, there's some good stuff to be Alex Angeloni. Yeah,
he was catching everywhere. Yeah, he was everywhere. But I'm
building that up there a lot of hair.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
It's pretty crazy.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Now the contract contracts between Mason Graham and then number
nine which I don't remember his name for Nebraska.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
Yeah, tie tie, mm hmmm.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
So this kid number nine for Nebraska, he was playing
like a hell like they'll hold that he's he's like
a nose three technique type of guy. But the kid
was just playing with his hair on fire the entire day,
high energy, keeping the guys around him. You and it was,
it was it's tough for me to admit, but you
watch Michigan. The energy didn't seem there. And then the

(20:03):
perfect contrast was an hour and a half later, I'm
in Nebraska and I'm watching a Nebraska team that seems
like they're playing for a national championship and it's in
like every snap matter to them, every single moment. And
I didn't, I didn't necessarily feel that after the first
couple of series.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
And let me ask you to a question, because you
guys played NFL. You play college high level, the highest
level you can play. When your team changes a lot,
you go from having a stacked team to then having
like you know, you got a lot of guys have left,
it's gonna be really, really different. You prepare for this game,
but you know the team you're going against is damn good.
Do you know you're gonna lose?

Speaker 2 (20:35):
I think it's different.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Is there ever a game that you know you're gonna lose? No,
not a game you go in thinking we're gonna lose
this game. You go in knowing that you know this
is gonna be a tough, tough team.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
Okay, so maybe after like the first quarter, do you
start kind of like the first sure, for sure those thoughts.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
That team knew that it was about to be a
long day.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
That's what I'm asking.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
I mean similar like even last year, what you guys
are saying, you're saying, she was killing us against uh Nebraska.
It's like second boys quit, tip pass happen. It's like, oh,
here we go again. You kind of just get used it.
But what's surprising is that you go from a national
title team, like the culture there is still a culture
like Sharon Moore, he was an internal upgrade or he
was an internal higher, so the same cultures there. Like

(21:18):
when you're a young guy seeing everybody else play well,
like you can't wait for your opportunity in the next year,
Like yeah, you might feel like fans might feel like
you're down in talent, but as an individual, you don't
think like you're a laughs and how you just think,
oh now it's my time. Like that's how you train
all off season.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
You're like, Yo, this is my moment, right.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
I think when I think when you're in college, you
drink the kool Aids so much. When I was at Michigan,
we were nine to thirteen. We we were not a
bad team. We never won the games we shouldn't win,
but we never lost the games we should love. Well,
we yeah you know what I'm got so anyway, but
you go to all these games. Yeah, you go to
all these games and you're like, Yo, we're gonna we're
gonna dominate ball ball. As you get in the NFL

(21:55):
and you get older and you start to see the
talent level on teams, like you kind of realize like, Okay,
we got to play really well to beat this team.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
The NFL might chalk up some back half. You might
look at him and like, all right, this one.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
Week I remember Week ten, like twenty nineteen, we were
playing Kansas City at home, and I remember being like,
no way, Like we got to play with our hair
on fire. I can't say was on such a such
a role. They're up ten zero after the first quarter,
and we came back and won that game, and that's
when we had a big run. But that was like
one of the only few games I was like, man,
I don't know about this one.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
Yeah, because you guys and four.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Yeah, we started off tough and we were just, you know,
not really gelling as a team. Here's a bugs me
about Michigan. The most they've got talent. They're lacking at a
couple of very key areas right now, right that sounds
very very key areas. But they've got talent. Like when
I when.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
I I also when I watched when I watch quarterback thing, man,
I really think I know, the two quarterbacks thing is
just the stupidest thing. It's not differ doesn't work, man,
When does it work?

Speaker 1 (23:00):
You know it does to.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
A tongue of I loa for like a play. I mean, no,
he was Jalen Jalen Hurts was in the bench him
for two No, they benched him and they put him
in during the National Championship.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
And came back and won. No, that's not but that's
not that's not what I'm talking about you're talking about
balancing two playing two quarterbacks like on purpose throughout the game.
Fuck that man. As Orgie goes in and and they
all know what we're doing, and.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Then we do it every time.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Yeah the fuck, I know, I know what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
A third and one, we had a third and one
in the red zone and org Orgi came in. They
call a timeout. Orgi goes back out. He sends a
guy in motion direct snap and then runs forward for
like a two year loss. In my mind, I was like,
what the fuck are we doing. That's when the angry
fan of me came out, and I was like, bro,
can we not? Can we not not do that? But
like it's tough man like this Davis Warren kid. You

(23:52):
know he's gone, he's beat leukemia, he walked on, he
went to starting job. He's got a hell of a
story and he can throw the ball a little bit,
but he just he's just.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Stories heard about the story.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
Org I mean, I haven't seen him throw enough to
know whether he could throw it out. And there was
a couple against Presno State where he rolls out he
has a guy open those at his feet and it's
just like it's just something thes just not jelling right now.
But there's talent on that team. And here's why. Here's
why this is this is gonna be Matt Rules's greatest
season right now. Here's why because because next year they're
gonna get five star recruits and they're gonna be guys

(24:26):
that come in that are of the talent level similar
to Rayola, where they're gonna start to match receivers with him,
match an offensive line with him. Defensive players, guys are
gonna want to start going to Nebraska. This is gonna
be the season we look at for Matt Rule where
he goes, look what Matt Rule did with what he had,
and that's not a shot at Nebraska. But what I
stually saw against Colorado was what I saw against Colorado

(24:47):
is a young quarterback who's going to be elite, probably
a first overall pick eventually, a running two running backs
are playing with their hair on fire, and then the
rest of the guys playing eleven dudes playing as a
united front. And that's what that is what's so cool
about Nebraska.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Bro, I'm sorry, what does that mean? Nebraska? No, none
of these none of these five star cats from down
South man, those fucking swamp beefy mother. They do not
want to go play away from their mama and their
papa and their family up in Nebraska. You want how
I know? I game with these guys. Okay, I break

(25:23):
bread with these guys. Man. They tell me they don't
want to go to Nebraska. They're gonna play LSU, They're
gonna play Alabama, they gonna play Georgia, They're gonna play
in Florida, Michigan. I mean, even that's hard to getting
to go up there, man, it really is. It's tough.
So tell me what it's way up here. They don't
want to go play it there. It's cold, bro. It
sucks half the year, if not more, in Nebraska. There's

(25:43):
nothing going on but Nebraska.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
This staff is going to bring balance back to us
being a blue blood.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
You really believe that, Yes, bro, Look I hope it
for you. I wish I've seen the vision.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
For a weekend.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
You would, I'm sure fun because you're you, but like,
but you.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Would see you would also see the vision. I mean,
we're still getting transfers, like we're getting cats there. If
you start, yeah, I was, I was schmoozing one up
over the weekend. Really yeah, five star Lineman Jackets, a
kid that was boy Jackson and Dawson Marrit who's committed
to Bama. Right now, I say, hey, brother, you look.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Good in red, Crimson, Actually you look good in red.

Speaker 3 (26:22):
One of them's.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Crimson grabbing the biceps. Yeah you you you play at
Bama Georgia like you're gonna go wherever you go and decide.
It's gonna be a great decision. But you go to Georgia, Bamon,
these other schools, you'll be a cog in the machine.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
You come and win. Here it's before and.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
This class will look just two and oh right now,
maybe got a trap game with Northern I will coming up.
You can hear the preview of that on the locker
room on Thursday when we drop that. But it's just
it's one game at a time. But this class, this
team does have a chance to be remembered forever for
bringing it back to what Taylor talking about, where you
start getting more guys in.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
I'm telling you can I have a quick time out.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Respect the time out. Now, let's you and I just
talk like Nick's not here, Okay. I don't like how
this guy is coming in here and making us have
to defend our schools.

Speaker 3 (27:07):
This is that's okay, this is, this is, this is,
this is we should be able to I thought we
were just having a real.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Con What time out?

Speaker 3 (27:17):
What the time out? Okay, you're not here?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Can I tell you something on your end on Michigan's in. Yeah,
he's been a fan of Michigan.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
I know.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
And he's being disrespectful. Yeah, like you got like to
be a fan is to have delusion. You have to
have in a sense delusion. You know that better than anybody.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
But I know that we're building something right. People just
had tote patience and.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
I can sit here and consciously say, you have missions
going missions obviously because we've lost all game has taken
a step back this year than we have in years past.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
That's the reality.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
Other than that, the schedule, That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
That's why he's that's.

Speaker 1 (27:50):
Like crazy, guys, and I hate I truly I want
this to land as soft as possible. You guys might
lose five games this year and you've got.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
To be right And I'm not getting I need time
back in. You're back in, Nick, go ahead, I'm not prepared.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Can you pulled up Michigan the back of the bus
field Jack waiting to go around.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Man.

Speaker 5 (28:07):
Yeah, I just look at Michigan schedule. Hold on, so
you guys have aar state next week. I think you
guys will probably pull that one out. Yeah, Usc most
likely y'all are gonna get that.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
That's that's.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
With all due respect.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
And then.

Speaker 5 (28:28):
Yeah, Minnesota, Minnesota. I think you guys have opportunity to
win Washington.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Opportunity.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
I don't think. I think Washington because it's a West
coast game. Like Nick said, that's a tough travel schedule
to be tough to win Michigan state.

Speaker 3 (28:46):
You went paston.

Speaker 5 (28:47):
Yeah, we talked. I do think Illinois is gonna be
your tough program for you all to face.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
They're good.

Speaker 5 (28:52):
So do you think y'all are gonna beat Indiana in Northwestern?
Everything else is up in the air. Ohio State obviously
the scariest game of y'all season, being the last and
your biggest rival. But I think you'll have Northwestern Indiana
and possibly Minnesota in the back.

Speaker 4 (29:12):
Yeah, a lot of improvement, There's just so much work
to be done. I'm I don't feel comfortable.

Speaker 2 (29:19):
Do you mind grabbing the mic?

Speaker 4 (29:21):
I don't feel comfortable.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Over under seven and a half wins this year.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
Come on, oh, man, just say it. Man, who cares
what people think?

Speaker 4 (29:27):
Man? Just say my heart is with Taylor, though I
want I want to be.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
Like me too. But but you just looking at the schedule.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
Yeah, I mean I think five losses is real.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
Yeah, that's potential.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
Don't count a just potential, don't don't don't.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
I see three potential losses on the schedule, which ones
with THEE. The three potential is oh yeah, we already
have one. I see organ and I know that. Listen crazy.
But I'm telling you, dude, I'm telling you when it
comes to rivalry games, but you gotta throw you gotta
throw records out the window.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
That's when I was there.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
When I was there twelve, twenty twelve season or twenty
thirteen season, they were better than us. We were a
seven and five program and we went for two at
the end of the game for the win and didn't
get it. And they were they were the top five team.
I'm just saying, we we can. You guys can say
all the things you want now, extremely disrespectful that we're
talking about Minnesota. That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
They've had they've they've done solid.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
They they played North Carolina in Week one, missed a
field goal and sent off their fireworks. Will you're not
gonna tell me that programs got their ship together. Okay,
by the way, you're just talking about it. By the way,
that's a rivalry game as well, that's why we go.
That's for that's for the brown job, that's for the
Brown So once again, okay, okay, So I.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Respect that, by the way, And.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Also he says Minnesota throw records out.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
The window, especially the hold on organ. Respect that you're
gonna look me in the eyes and tell me Idaho
State and Boise State are a couple of good ball
programs because they because I'm pretty sure Boise of State
was winning at one point against Oregon, and I'm pretty
say went down to the wire with both those teams.
So you're not gonna look me in the eyes and
tell me all of a sudden that they're gonna walk home,

(31:15):
yeah home. Michigan State, listen, Michigan State is utter dog ship.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
I know they're dogship, but again.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
Records dog ship, and we have the mental we have
the mental fortitude on them because we've been dusting that ass.

Speaker 3 (31:32):
The last three years what I see, guys, So he's
feeling good.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
I like Jackie to get away from the microphone because
we weren't gonna be nasty. Then all of a sudden
we said dog walk and we said I hope you
guys will pull on. And I know it feels good
because of how I act like I know it feels good.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
I'm not saying I enjoy seeing like this at all,
but I like seeing This is what true fandom is
is dying every week because a team that you have
no control over dictate your mental health. And that that
is college football. That's fandom. It's not winning a national
championship year one.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Is a fan.

Speaker 5 (32:09):
This is truly how you become a Michigan fan. Obviously
you have all of the the whatever you played there.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
But this is what fandom is, backbone of the program.
But yeah, per but this is what fantom is.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
So you have to.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Okay, I'll tell you of all the people in here,
of all the people in here, Nick, I'm most disappointed.
I know, I know, because you should know better being
a fan, you would have been one of the fans
that left in the third quarter two for you the
Minnesota Minnesota win Kansas win. Let's just say USC doesn't
go away. We'll just we'll play to the masses here

(32:45):
and say it doesn't go away. So you know what
I think, because my math is for whatever reason, getting
really bad. So we're one and one, two and one.
Now we're two and two. Minnesota, Yeah, three and two,
Washington four and two, Illinois five and two, Michigan State
six and two, Oregon. I've already said my piece. In Oregon,
I'm gonna say seven and two, Indiana eight and two,

(33:06):
Northwestern nine and two, and then I've already talked about
Ohio State. Dude, you throw those records out out the window.
And in USC played a LSU team. You USC played
an LSU team who historically loses their first game against big,
big opponents historically. So I'm not taking USC off the
board either. I'm we could win there, We could went

(33:27):
out and it just depends on the boys jelling. They
got a gel. But you can look at this schedule
and be like I listen, in Ohio State, we might
have the same record because they're gonna lose in Nebraska
and they're gonna lose the Penn State, so we'll have
a better record than them.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
They're gonna lose.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
The Penn State I love. See that's how you know
Nebraska's made it. You just looked. You just looked over
my coming about Nebraska and say that's gotta feel good.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
Penn State horrible. I mean that quarterback. I'm sorry, man,
but he's just not him.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Hey, let's let's say give me a positive take about something.

Speaker 3 (34:07):
Okay, I want a lot of sports bets. Lot let's
go NFL college you name it.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
I was your best win.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
I was gonna say, what were you most I put?

Speaker 3 (34:17):
I put like eight grand on the Cowboys to win
money against the spread.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Yeah, oh you took him with the points? Are you bet?

Speaker 3 (34:26):
I gave away points? I gave away points. It seems
like you beat the ship out of the Browns and
we made so much money off that. Meet me Tim,
everybody and we all bet him.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
I didn't get to say.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
It's just like the SHAWNE has done depends on he
seems like he's like there's some real kinks in his
game and he needs to get that uh k off field.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Yeah, get back on the table.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
Every since everything. Here's what I said, played a little bit.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
You know what I heard is Bill O'Brien was running
Clemson's offense at Houston because he couldn't conform to any
other NFL offense. And now the Browns are trying to
get him to go and run that offense, and he's
just he just can't do it. That's why you see
Joe Flacco come in and do what he did last year.

Speaker 3 (35:08):
I don't see the Browns, man, I still see it.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
The Browns are in a tough spot and they give
so much money.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
He's still like the number two.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
Do you see part of my takes take on it?
It is really good. Big Colt and p f T
were saying that, I think we're at the point where
we can say that Deshaun Watson as good of a
player he is on the field, he's been better off
the field.

Speaker 1 (35:30):
He's a better person.

Speaker 3 (35:34):
That's crazy. Well they kicked out and they sent him
down to Tampa, right, yeah, yeah, now he's bawling. Yeah yeah,
you're a Bucks fan too, you think, Yeah, he's he
plays with with with such attitude. Man, it's hard not
to love, you know. He just that he just wants
to play football. Man. Yeah, he's not going to be
as accurate as maybe like Bro that boy, Dak Prescott, man,

(35:57):
he can put the ball anywhere. He's a psychle Dak. No,
I think he's overrated. But but during I think, I think,
I think people don't give him playoffs, like the team
always falls so short. But during the regular logo is unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (36:13):
The logo on the logo on his helmet. Dude, you're
behind the eight ball every single time. If you don't
play perfect.

Speaker 3 (36:18):
Well, it's you know, he's not as accurate as a
guy like Dak, but he plays football tough and I
think that the team that he's on they enjoy that.
I love Mike Evans. He scored two touchdowns the other day.
That's my guy. You know. Uh, I think they got
a lot going on down there, a lot of good things.
But Dallas, if they can just win a game in
the fucking playoffs, man, this could be a scary team.

(36:39):
I just don't know if they're gonna be able to
do it.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
Man, that's just that he just never That's the conversation
after they got killed by every year at home in
the come on.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
But green Bay, green Bay was the worse than your
stream with I mean we played with Hakwon Barkley, great guy,
I remember we were scheduled to do like a two
hour stream and we played the whole day together. Yeah,
Like I was supposed to go do up and he
was supposed to go do stuff. But we just played
and we were the whole time just like this. He's
actually not bad and he's like this shot. He's got

(37:08):
a kind of a calm demeanor, you know what I mean.
And we were just kind of gaming and chatting. We
played like eight hours. We were scheduled for two. It
was really strange.

Speaker 1 (37:16):
Who's an NFL guy who you respect their game the most?

Speaker 3 (37:19):
Mike Evans, He's better than me a lot of those games. Man,
No ship, I'm kidding, because I mean I took a
big step back. I stopped playing so much. And this
this guy, when he's always playing and he's cracked and
he's unbelievable. Man, he really is. He's unreal. He's very
very good at the gatter than Fortnight. He's better than
me I now.

Speaker 1 (37:37):
Actually, Mike Evans is better than you at Fortnite.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
He can build and edit like a keyboard guy. I can't.
I can shoot, but you know that game now you
gotta build and edit the builds and stuff. He can
do it all. And it wasn't always that way. When
we first started playing, he was a bot and he
was really mad about it, and I could tell it.
We were with together, No, he was just horrible. He
went to terms together and uh, we did super well.

(38:01):
But he would get irritated that he couldn't keep up
in these big tournaments. And I kept talking to Mike
have the lobby or pro gamers, like it'd be like
me going on the on the field with YouTube and
getting mad that I can't keep up. I'm not gonna,
you know. But he had just look in his eye, man,
like that competitor ship. And he would go home and
practice on the low and eventually got to a point
where he's he's no joke now, man, it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (38:23):
I love It's I've never played a game of Fortnite
in my life.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
I don't think. I don't.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
I was I was more pub g Are you not
a gamer?

Speaker 3 (38:31):
I love like.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Yeah, RPG shooters, No, dude.

Speaker 3 (38:37):
I played a little bit of.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
That Call of Duty with the zombies.

Speaker 4 (38:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:40):
I had a good time. I thought that was really fun.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
By the way, he just said that that he doesn't
played a ship.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, it like my dad Nintennessee's four
Super Smash Brothers. I was filthy with fire fire filthy.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
You were best in the locker room with Super Smash bros.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Yeah, I I I control you guys have little lands
in there ship.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
When I got to Tennessee, like it seemed like they
had a little thing going. Maybe it was mostly old women.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Yeah, we would play after every practice and stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (39:08):
I brought it in.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
The thing that sucks is I broke this thumb and
it doesn't really I can't know left. So my my
moving left is my game has gone down on the
turn left. No, I stay turned left. I'm posentually Zootlander.
But we got the boys in here. We we hooked
it up one day and they did stop wanting to
play with me for like twenty minutes.

Speaker 3 (39:25):
But I was putting that much work.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
Yeah yeah, No. My freshman year at Michigan, one of
my hallmates at West Quad, he was like all about
Super Smash and I would go in his room all time.
We would just play for hours. Yeah, and he like
kind of put me on game of how to play
well and eventually ended up.

Speaker 3 (39:40):
It's crazy, like when your brain gets that into a
game time just the time just you blanket. It's been
like eight hours, no doubt it. I'm so. I'm so.

Speaker 2 (39:48):
That's how it was for like Red Day redemption for me. Yeah,
because I did that after my second ACL surgery. I
played that game and beat it in seven days.

Speaker 3 (39:54):
They say that's one of the greatest games of all time,
but I've never played. You've never played. You want to cry? Yeah? Yeah,
that's why I heard like the jo moving type thing, man,
Like it's like it hurts.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
What's this? What's the newer game that you've been streaming
a lot?

Speaker 3 (40:08):
Elden Ring?

Speaker 1 (40:08):
Yeah, elden Ring? Is that like an RP same.

Speaker 3 (40:11):
Thing, same thing as that, same thing as Kiram too. Yeah, okay,
they called RPG one percent. Need to stream red there. Yeah,
people were telling me to do that, man, I just
I don't know, man, it's haven't been gaming as much lately,
rob and just enjoying time being a father and just chilling.
You know. I've been streaming for like twenty years straight, NonStop,
just games, games, games, So how we're gonna take a
fat break?

Speaker 4 (40:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Absolutely? How's that shifted for you? Like since becoming a dad?

Speaker 3 (40:31):
It's awesome. It's just I mean, I you know, I
work from home, so that's super cool. I'm there all
the time, you know, and I mean, he's he's the
best man. It's so fun to I mean, but you
guys know it like not everything changes, but the way
you look at everything changes. And it's just been a
lot of fun. Uh, this this period of my life,
you know, was it hard?

Speaker 1 (40:48):
Was it was it hard transitioning away from gaming? And no,
hell no, Like with the wife for you guys ever,
kind of like, hey, the schedule, I need you to
shift it around a little bit.

Speaker 3 (40:58):
She she's the gold man. She she just she just
handles it all. If she needs help, she'll you know,
have a conversation or whatever.

Speaker 4 (41:04):
You know.

Speaker 3 (41:05):
But at first I was streaming a lot, you know,
when we had just had him, so there were times
where she needed me. I took a little bit of
time off, you know. But dude, she's a tank man.
She just takes care of I have a great one,
you know. That's awesome. Yeah, he had a good team.
Twenty years, bro, twenty years.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
How long have you been streaming at at like a high?
You kind of exploded with Fortnite twelve.

Speaker 3 (41:26):
Yeah, twelve years now, what so twenty twenty years I was.
I was big before that too, man. I mean you know,
I was one of the first partner streamers on justin TV,
which is now twitch tv. So way back when when
streaming was really really difficult to break into. I had
a buddy who was who was a nerd, who knew
all about it, and I mean I didn't. So he
came out, he set me all up, and uh, there

(41:47):
was really only maybe like ten or twenty people streaming then.
You know, you couldn't make any any cash off it.
It was just kind of for fun and I'm playing
and there's a chat, and it's all it's this new experience,
you know, I'm having fun with it, and then it
just kind of evolved into everything that it is today.
But dude, I've been I've been gaming since I was
like a kid, I mean competitively gaming. I was like

(42:09):
ten or eleven. I remember begging him to take me
to a small tournament like an hour away from my
home and he wouldn't do it. And I told him,
I like, oh, look, I promise you that there's like
four hun cash prize. I'll win that thing. And he
wouldn't do it. And then finally he cracked and he
took me to one and I won, and I had
like four or five hundred cash. I'm like see, and
he couldn't fucking believe it. He drove me to a
Bank of America and we made a bank account. I

(42:30):
was like twelve years old and he had to be
there because I can't make an account. Yeah, and then
he so he's trying to. He was super We we
had a lot going on, uh, just because you know,
he coached college ball and you know that environment man,
like you know, and my family. I mean, I know,
you know Alex Brad, those guys that playing in the end.
I got cousins in the NFL. Cousins will played high
level college. My little brother is an athlete. He was

(42:52):
an athlete he coached. So for me to not go
down that route and start doing this gaming shit, he
was having a breakdown.

Speaker 5 (43:01):
Man.

Speaker 3 (43:01):
You know, he had no idea how to fucking handle it,
you know, but we I promise him, I mean, look,
I'm the best of this Gears of War Halo shit,
So just take me these tournaments and I'll just cash out.
He goes, all right, So we start going all these
tourneys and I'm just four hundred, eight hundreds, five hundred
four hundred just cash, cash, cash, fucking twenty grand. I'm
fourteen with twenty K in my bank account.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
I couldn't imagine, could not imagine that fote.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
I'm like, yo, I just want to go buy shit,
you know, but he won't let me, you know what
I mean. But we got twenty K in there. And
that's when I just started getting crazier and crazier. Man,
that there was like one hundred k and then one
hundred and fifty k. By the town, I was eighteen,
one hundred fifty grand. You're bank count eighteen from gaming,
and I'm like, what the fuck do I do with this?
I'm sitting down with the tax lady with the you know,
it's nuts, man.

Speaker 4 (43:45):
I'm doing it my.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
Whole life before you in twenty twelve. How wow was
I with twenty?

Speaker 1 (43:53):
Fuck man?

Speaker 3 (43:53):
Twenty? Maybe?

Speaker 1 (43:55):
Okay, right. I think it's perfect that dad is on
the bus because him being from the football mole. It's
like it's even still happening, like your kids, like your
kid wants to be a streamer or a gamer. The
parents at the time, like even myself it's like, yeah,
these dudes who are trying to make money streaming, Like
is there anything in it? Like would you guys go
toes about him him spending way too much time on

(44:15):
the game, like I would love to hear dead so much.
There's no doubt, There's no doubt. Here was a guy
knocking the door, like bro, even coaches like, hey, stop
playing fucking video games.

Speaker 3 (44:24):
You play telling by when my high school coach came
to well, no, I mean the breaking point for me
was we were in Dallas for MLG, remember yeah, and
you guys won that tournament, and I'm standing there looking
at you.

Speaker 6 (44:36):
Holding the cardboard check that says forty grand on it,
and I'm going, damn, hm, maybe I better get fully
behind this, you know. Yeah, I mean no, there we
went at it many times. To answer your question, I mean,
she's fighting breaking xboxes. I work for him now, but

(44:56):
I talked to his high school football coachaid, please, man,
you got to talk to him.

Speaker 4 (44:59):
You just just come to the house. You know. He
doesn't listen to me, And he's.

Speaker 6 (45:04):
Knocked on the door and strolls up there from his
gaming console, you know, and the guy's trying to talk
him into coming to practice, and it's like, yeah, you know,
maybe I will, maybe I won't.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
You're pissed, so brout your future into gaming, Like there's
no future in that, I'm sure you're feeling at the time.

Speaker 6 (45:24):
Of course, exactly, course, because there was nobody to emulate,
nobody to follows.

Speaker 3 (45:30):
Basically, like we literally didn't talk for a couple of
years after that point. No, that's how bad he got, Like, yeah, bro,
we would go at, it would yell, and then you know,
your dad's getting disciplined, you know, kick kick my ass,
you know. And then but he, like from my POV,
he just didn't understand that this is what I love
to do at the end of the day in life,
you know, I think it's really important to just be

(45:50):
passionate and follow your heart. If you love something, get
after it. And this is what I love to do.
But I'm skipping my high school practices, I'm skipping school.
My grades are falling behind school. Yeah, because I was
up to like three four in the morning every night
playing and I was getting really good, and we were
winning online tournaments too. That's when they were pushing out
those game battles online a tourneys, so now I'm cash

(46:10):
now on these like two b two little side gigs.
I'm making like three hundred bucks in my room. The
fuck I'm gonna go to algebra before, bro, you know,
I don't care. And then I would go to school
and I'd be so tired that I can't even perform
here anyways. Man, So I'm sleeping. My teachers are kicking
me out. It's this whole thing. So they're thinking about
kicking me out to like army camp like for kids,
and shit, yeah, you got.

Speaker 1 (46:30):
A son that's not going to doing all the things
that you should be doing.

Speaker 3 (46:33):
Yeah, I look back at it all. I don't follow
him at all. I mean, I don't have any any
weird shit in my heart. He was confused and he
and he and he should have been and he was
just trying to steer his son in the right direction.
And I mean, me being the dickhead and I am,
you just can't tell me what to do, man, So
I just kept and eventually, you know, it popped off
for me. But the truth is is, back then, I

(46:53):
was throwing my life away, you know what I mean,
just because I love to do something that wasn't popular, right,
And it just so happened. Then when the whole thing
blew the fuck up, because it blew up, I was
right in the front, man, I was already one of
the bigger guys. So my ship overnight went from fucking
you know, okay, I'm making like one hundred k year.
Now I'm making like mill No, I me and him

(47:13):
got Now we got to try to understand all this.

Speaker 4 (47:16):
You know.

Speaker 3 (47:17):
And I mean it's great. I love that, you know
what I mean. But it's a pretty it's a pretty
crazy childhood in our family dynamic. It was. It was
tough to grow up that way, you know, because because.

Speaker 1 (47:26):
You're sounds like you got his dad.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
Yeah, his fucking dad hated me for a long time. Man,
he did, he did. He can stand me.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
But your dad sounds like every single dad would have
been the exact family. If I skip, if I skipped football.

Speaker 3 (47:41):
Oh yeah, my little brother was the two times hate
champion because I did that ship. But I started skipping
those practices as well. He's so angry. But yeah, I mean,
you know, look, I just loved it. I fucking loved it.
Like when you like someone when you're come off the
head and bang it. Did you just get that feeling.
You know. I I felt that too when I played football,
when I played bad. I played all kinds of sports,

(48:02):
and I was good at him too. I mean I
was all right. I wasn't as good as you guys,
but I was. I was decent. I had fun. But
when I'm playing gaming, I clutch up and the crowd
goes nuts. I mean there was times a beround Land
where I make a big play in the fucking ground
shaken and that this ship falling from the healing and stuff.
I mean, I got clips of eight and I popping
off and we're winning like fifty grand just by getting
these kills, and I'm killing them and the crowd's going

(48:23):
fucking crazy cardboard checks, which I mean, that's what I
live for, man, you know, so I just it took
a while to get there.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
What so you guys you said you two didn't talk
for a couple of years, well, and eavily brought you
to back together.

Speaker 3 (48:37):
Is it like I don't I don't remember. I just
remember him, and I really not see an eyed eye obviously,
And I think that. You know, I love my dad
like my dad, you know, to me, this is my person, man,
this is my guy. You know, I got my but
this guy that I wanted to I want to be
like if I could be half the father he is
some day great. Not to be too emotional, keep going,

(48:58):
keep going. Yeah, you know you seem to have to
break up getting to let you know, so I really
wanted to get that relationship back, and he did too. Man,
I'm his first son. You know, we we got you know,
a lot going on. There was a lot. It was
a tough situation, and we both are smart enough to
know that that's not his fall or my fall. It's
just Wow, this is a really interesting like position that

(49:19):
we're both in and we can't go anywhere for help
because I don't have anybody to show him, like, hey, dad,
here's this gamer that I can be liking. He doesn't
he doesn't have a parent to go to, like, hey,
here's this kid that skips everything important in his life
is doing is doing this. Yeah, so we're in this
weird place. But ultimately, you know, we just said, Okay,
enough's enough, man, you know, let's just be let's just
be dudes about it, you know what I mean, Let's

(49:40):
let's just and.

Speaker 4 (49:41):
We just I think right about them with seal.

Speaker 3 (49:43):
Training, Yeah, then it was weird man training.

Speaker 4 (49:48):
I coached him.

Speaker 6 (49:49):
Okay, so to go to Buds to try to be
a Seal, you have to get a Buds like contract.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
You can't just go. So you got to do a
push up test, a pull up test, sit up test,
two mile run like a swim, all back to back
to back to back to back, and then you get
a certain score and they only really draft the top scores,
you know, every what two months or three months, I
can't really remember. So we trained for like two years,
and at this point in the trending you wanted to

(50:17):
be a Seal. I stayed This is gonna be a
really quick story, but I'm sure you guys can relate.
I stayed up too late one fucking night and I
clicked on too many bad links and I saw stuff
that was happening out there, and I went to him.
I tried to talk to him about it, and he goes, Nick,
I know, man, it's it's a crazy world sometimes we're
living in and it ate me alive, man, Like for weeks.

(50:39):
I couldn't get that night out of my head, just
seeing that some of the stuff that goes on, and
I wanted to do something about it and and I
it was that night, and then I started to hook up,
like who actually goes and deals with some of these people,
and all the all the Google searches just can't see.
You'll see, you'll see, you'll see. I'm like, So I
went to a fucking recruiting office. I sat down with

(51:00):
the guy. I told him I wanted to be a SEAI.
He told me how, and then we had to train
for a couple of years to get that bid, and
we got it. And then I went into uh, you know,
I went into boot camp in like an eight hundred division.
It's like a sped up boot camp, a little bit harder.
It was pretty easy, though, you know, people don't quit there.
And then you go to pre Buds, which is like
a two or three month and you know what, it
was like kind of like a college football camp, like

(51:22):
you're just lifting weights, you're doing track sessions, all your
trainers are collegiate trainers. It was super cool. David Goggins,
he actually came. He actually came back to our class
and I remember him screaming in all of us before
we went on like some twenty mile fucking thing in
the snow, and he said, if you. If you don't
hang with him, then you're cut. I didn't hang with
him and I didn't get cut. But yeah, it's hard.

(51:45):
He's kind of hard to keep up with. But yeah,
then I went out to Buds and it lasted about
two weeks and I had I had a lot of
trouble with everything underwater. And they give you demerit chits.
A chit is like a like a blemish kind of
on your contract. So if you you if you're not
performing in certain areas and you're holding the group back,
you get a chit. And if you get hurting amount

(52:06):
of them, you got to go in front of the
board and like address that. And I was getting all
these chips for underwater stuff, and finally the chief just say, hey, listen, man,
like you know, if you're struggling with underwater shit, you
want to be a seal. That's a problem. Yeah. So
he told me to meet him, you know, super early
at the pool, just him and I, and he's gonna
give me another chance to pass this underwater stuff. I
couldn't do it. So he kicked me out.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
What was the underwater stuff? Like, what what was the
underwater things that were so difficult?

Speaker 3 (52:30):
They see. Yeah, they tie they tie your feet together,
tie your hands behind your back, and that's fine. You
got you gotta like bob up and down the bottom
of a twelve foot pool. Then you got to do
a fifty yard swim. And I was having a lot
of trouble with that. I couldn't go the whole way
because the way they make you do it is you
got to dive off into the deep end like pencil dive.

(52:50):
When your feet hit the bottom, you got to do
a front flip, no push off and go and you
got to go all the way without popping up. And
I could not fucking do that. I even passed out twice.
That's weird, super weird. Yeah, so you.

Speaker 2 (53:04):
You pass out underwater and you're woking.

Speaker 3 (53:06):
Up on the side of the fucking pool deck.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
They just mouth and mount to fuck up, no shake
to fuck up. Yeah, because the cat's died during this stuff, right, No,
not during that part.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
People people have people people have died in buds, but
I think they died from from different parts of me.
Like you know, hell, week is crazy. I never even
got to that point. That's like week four, I think,
or week five maybe what week were you like, all right,
this is it. The moment it began, I was like,
holy shit. Really, you start at three am. You go

(53:39):
to the Blacktop, and I mean they're getting you up
with LMG with blank rounds, because the inside of a
like a like a dorm room thing. We're all running
outside with our boots, our belts hanging. We get down
to that blacktop and there's just this fucking jacked instructor
up on the podium. Easy, all right, we're gonna take
it to a fucking workout. If anybody relax or anybody struggling,

(54:01):
you fucking butch your helmet over there, you ring the bell,
get the fuck out, and I'm like, holy shit, and
we and then we fucking begin. I mean you're getting
your dick kicked in for two hours, and you know,
periodically every ten to twenty minutes, they're sending you over
the sand dune, down the sand dune to the ocean,
and you gotta get wet, and then you get sand
all over you. If you come back with any spot
that doesn't have sand, you gotta go again. And it's

(54:23):
just this. The sand sticks to you, your skin chafs,
and it's just this experience that's meant to weigh on you.
It's just over time, man, it just gets harder and hard,
and then you see people quitting. And that's a shitty
part too. I remember that. I remember like being up.
You be up at three four am, and that Pacific
Ocean is fucking freezing, man, and we're sitting in there,
you know, there they got us all in the ocean.

(54:44):
We're freezing our fucking asses off. And we're seeing people quit.
They're standing up and just being there, going to a
van and they wrap them in a blanket and they
give them a hot coffee. It's okay, buddy, It's okay,
little buddy. You know you're like that coffee would small.

Speaker 1 (54:58):
I was saying, You're like, man, this could be so
e yeah, just go get this blank I'm gonna say
something like no, cap bro.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
I used to piss on myself to stay warm like
during those times, and I literally just start peeing for
a second. I feel warm, like okay, the fuck man.
Yeah that that That two weeks was probably the hardest
two weeks in my entire life. But I learned a
lot about myself. You know, I got some friends that
made it all the way through. I don't regret any
of it, you know.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
And the thing too, is like you stay up, you
watch all these links that make you want to do this,
and you're like, I want to make a difference. Yeah,
going through those couple of weeks, whether it work it didn't.
Obviously didn't work out, but the guys that did work
out for you guys feel pretty good about the country.

Speaker 3 (55:36):
Yeah, Like you know, those dogs are out there, seals
the ship they go through, and that's just the beginning.
You know, you have to get through buds, which I mean,
I'm I tapped in two weeks. These guys are going
through eight months of training, then s QT Seal Qualification
training where they put it all together up there in
Alaska for another eight months, and then you go pick
your job, like your specific job sniper, uh this or that,

(55:58):
and then and then you go to school for that
another I mean, bro, you are just you just dial man,
it's the machine.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
And when you got cut, are you bummed? Are you
kind of relieved?

Speaker 3 (56:08):
I remember calling him the only place you can get
service from is the top of the fucking building. I call,
Oh my god, one of the worst phone calls in
my life. Man, I called. I couldn't even get the
words out right.

Speaker 4 (56:19):
It sucked works so hard. Man.

Speaker 3 (56:21):
We did, we did. I just should have done more.
I should have done more preparation on the underwater stuff.
And I really fell short there, you know, And it
was just it was an area. And the thing about
going through seal training like that is those instructors, the
entire program is designed where they they're doing all that
on purpose, so as soon as they see the crack
in the armor, they just attack it. So so they
had my ass in the pool extra like just screwing

(56:43):
with me, you know what I mean, because they knew
that they're trying to break you. That's that's what they're doing.
And they did. But it makes you better man. Look
like I mean, I firmly believe that everybody should should
go through some of those things and then you appreciate
little things a lot more.

Speaker 4 (56:59):
Man.

Speaker 3 (56:59):
I mean, you know we super small like having your phone.
I mean, fuck, you know right, you never know it,
but it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
My senior year, we went to like San Diego and
we did like we went with the Navy seals and
did like three.

Speaker 3 (57:09):
Four hours with them.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
Ye do that, And I was like, at the end
of the three four hours, I was so I was done.

Speaker 3 (57:14):
There's no way I.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
Was gonna do anything doing. We were carrying the boat,
we were doing over, we were going over that same
hill into the water, rolling around the sand. They had
that little obstacle course making guys doing that. It was
it was nuts. Now Michigan, Michigan does like Team one
thirty one. We were Team one thirty four yea, because
we did the Navy seal thing and they jumped off
and we started doing that.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
It's like all the seniors as my helmet as the boat.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
Yeah, yeah, that's a dog.

Speaker 1 (57:44):
That's me and pre buzz on my buddy Gardner, that's you.

Speaker 3 (57:47):
No, that's I'm filling on asking what he's doing. He
had to clean all this ship off your belt and
there's even like a spec on it. In an old
class that's push up and they do that on purpose.
You know. It's like pee wee football, Like you know
when that kid did the cot on the team and
he's on the team and it sucks because his mom
is he's forcing him to do it. He doesn't want
to be there. He's got to play like eight plays
or eight plays. He gets killed every fucking time. And

(58:08):
they they get ten yards so everybody's just mad about
this one fucking kid right well, in practice, that same
kid because he just doesn't want to be there. Now
we all got to run around that tree it's two
miles away, because this kid can't keep up. They are
the best at that yo.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
If we would have loafs at Nebraska my senior year,
like say I had three loafs, I would have to
sit on the chair while the rest of the linebacker
room would have to run three guests exactly, though, a
loaf is ultimately like not finishing to the ball, like
if you're not the way that they would do it
is if you're not on the screen at the end
of the play, or if you get out ran by

(58:45):
you know, if you're a dB and you get out
ran by a linebacker to the ball, or if you're
a linebacker you get out ran by a D lineman,
or you change your you change your tempo at all,
like you start to slow down because you think it
might be an incomplete best officer they catch and then
you start sprinting. That would be considered a loaf. So
if you get loafs, if it got bad enough, they
would make the person sit on the chair while the

(59:05):
rest of the linebacker room would run terrible feeling.

Speaker 3 (59:07):
Yeah, and then you you, right, that feeling sets in.
Now everyone knows is your fault and you because everybody's.

Speaker 2 (59:14):
Getting better for it's you when you're not getting punished
everybody else's It's the worst way to get punished in cold.

Speaker 1 (59:19):
Absolutely, bro bought in.

Speaker 3 (59:21):
Bought in.

Speaker 1 (59:22):
It's this group called the Program where they're either former
seals or form or something in the military, and they
would come in and we just basically had forty eight
hours of this training to where you'd be there to
like pass midnight and then have to wake up before
thirty in the morning. And then you're in the pool
like at the Nebraska in the Nebraska swimming area, we'd
have full sweats on, having the tread water, and then

(59:42):
your teammates, like guys who couldn't swim, like they would
have to trust the guy next to them that we
would hold them and you would have to like take
off your hoodie and the other person would have to
put it on. You're like treading water. Having to put
all this stuff on it. Water was fucking nuts. Carrying
logs like all the detail like somebody left a cup
in the team meeting. They brought us all down, they
made us warm up, and then the guys motherfucked us

(01:00:03):
for leaving a cup out. That whole team would have
to They would have to run up. You have to
run up to the team meeting room as a group
and then run back once it was all cleared, and
they would give you like an assignment, like say I
was the guy from my group. They would tell me
all the instructions and then I would have to be
the one to explained it to the team. Nobody says
anything like even if you get an instruction wrong. You
go throughout the entire process like compete, do all this stuff,

(01:00:26):
and if you got something wrong, then they tell you
after the fact and then you got to basically redo it.
It's fucking nuts, bro.

Speaker 3 (01:00:31):
A lot of super common things across the board. You know,
Dad's the best part of being on a team, you know,
I mean, yeah, Dad.

Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
For you when you got the phone call when he
got cut, Are you disappointed? Are you thinking he wasn't
put in the effort?

Speaker 6 (01:00:44):
Yeah no, no, no, I wanted you to accomplish your goal,
but I wasn't disappointed. Listen, It's like the UFC and
tapping or not tapping. You didn't tap. You gave it
everything you had and you passed out under the pool twice.
I mean you didn't come up and breathe. I no regrets,
super proud.

Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
Of the effort.

Speaker 3 (01:01:01):
Looks Yeah, he's the most supportive father in the world, bro.
But he's he's chilled out quite a bit over the years, man,
that's for sure.

Speaker 4 (01:01:07):
And answer.

Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
It would be a lot different twenty years ago, No question.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
My old man as well.

Speaker 3 (01:01:10):
I mean he was pretty it's crazy, and yeah, like
now they're the best, and when you were going to father,
now you're so od When we were kids.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
Man, I think there's like a there's a something as
a father coaching his son as he's getting older. You
want him to be good so bad that it's like
you're like, it's like squeezing the baby too tight. You're like, man,
I just want this kid to be the best version himself,
and I know he's fucking thinks up. And then immediately
when you become an adult, it's like all right, man,
like I did the best I could. I can no
longer tell you what to do.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
If you're on like a good track.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Yeah, if you're on a good track, but then as
soon as like the good track and like you're of
an age where you're essentially responsible, responsible for yourself, then
as a father you could sit back and be like, hey,
this is the product that helped make like it's up
to them.

Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
That's got to be a great feeling. Yeah, to have
a son that's doing well.

Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
Yeah, I mean because my dad was pissed when I
didn't want to like wrestle, I quit after like six grades.

Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
That's right, he wrestled that.

Speaker 4 (01:01:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01:59):
Yeah. My brother was a stud senior national champion, went
to Nebraska on scholarship, but he was a stud. So
we had like a wrestling family, older brother, a younger brother.
I'm the oldest, so my younger brother, he was a
you know when it was it wasn't football season, Cody
was ultimately like the favorite because wrestling is like all
year round, like you know Cliff Keen kickoff, like the
Triple Crown going around when you're young. Cody was a monster.

(01:02:20):
And my junior year I said that I would either
I said one like that I would play baseball because
my mom was pissed that I wouldn't play like sports
all year round because after football season, I would love to,
you know, whether it just hang with the boys, video
game stuff like that. And then when I didn't play baseball,
my parents basically said I either wrestled my junior year.
My dad was like, you're either wrestling or you're grounded

(01:02:41):
for the entire winner. So ultimately, I wrestled at two fifteen,
at like two hundred pounds and just.

Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
You know, gritted it out.

Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
I hated every second of it, but my dad always
wanted me to wrestle because he's like, you know, it'll
be better, it'll it'll translate to football, which he's right,
it does. My pro agility went down like you live it.
You live it like you live this tall for three
months out of the year, just being in that fucking stance,
and I would get my ass whoop by this dude
named Jason went who was a scholarship cat to Cornell,
and like it was, you know, I hated it, but

(01:03:10):
my dad was always pissed. I didn't want to wrestle
every year because Cody was really good.

Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
Did your dad do it?

Speaker 4 (01:03:14):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
My dad didn't. He wish he had. He was like,
I mean, I wish they had wrestling.

Speaker 4 (01:03:18):
You wish you would have done too, I would, Yeah,
but I was too.

Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
He was a great basketball player.

Speaker 4 (01:03:23):
To basketball.

Speaker 1 (01:03:23):
Yeah, my dad's like, I wish they had wrestling back
when you know.

Speaker 3 (01:03:26):
He was young. They didn't even have it. Did you
have it in school?

Speaker 4 (01:03:29):
Of course you didn't, think. I think.

Speaker 6 (01:03:30):
I think as a father, all you want to do
is make sure that they're trying to you know, they're
they're they're they're creating the opportunities for themselves, and like
by not wrestling, you're eliminating that possibility. You know, it's
like what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
Yeah, and I love this was open.

Speaker 4 (01:03:45):
Just give it, give the kid an opportunity and then
go get it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you gotta feel it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
When I when I was a freshman in high school
in eighth grade, I got like a lot of trouble
and so my dada hate you're playing football because I
got to quit playing all sports. And it was like
middle of July and Arizona and this the head coach.
They were doing like camp guy freshman through senior, like
that big camp for all the kids to kind of
like get acclimated, and we're like going around in groups,

(01:04:10):
and halfway through I go up to my dad and
I'm like, hey, I'm done. I want to quit.

Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
I'm over it.

Speaker 2 (01:04:16):
And my dad's like, all right, that's the head coach
of the varsity team. Go tell them you quit. I'll
meet you in the car. And I literally I looked
at that coach. My dad walked and sent in the car.
I was like, man, all right, so I finished the
entire day. I get in the car and my dad goes,
I just want you to know what it feels like
to be on the other side of the hill. If
you could just feel what that's like, I promise it's
going to work out. And I was like, damn, yeah,

(01:04:38):
it was awesome.

Speaker 4 (01:04:39):
That's a good dad.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
That was a good moment. That's Chaparo High School though. Yeah,
that's when your boy was falling.

Speaker 4 (01:04:47):
A man.

Speaker 2 (01:04:48):
Old Tommy timon right number four.

Speaker 4 (01:04:51):
I need wrestling videos, dude, bro.

Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
Growing up when my boys, when my friends would come
in the house, my dad would talk about the weekend
from wrestling back you want to watch them ape, and
then they'd be sitting there. We put a tap in
on the VCRD of that day recorded from being on
the mat. We just have to sit there and watch
our wrestling because my dad would like force people to
watch wrestling. He loved wrestling. You and my dad.

Speaker 6 (01:05:11):
I got a I got a van out there with
four hundred thousand miles out of because me and his
little brother traveled the country and all those tournaments.

Speaker 3 (01:05:18):
Yeah, so you.

Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
Know, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (01:05:22):
Out there. He wants all three know.

Speaker 1 (01:05:25):
Yeah, man, that was so fun, great, so fun. Yeah, Bro,
Cody was.

Speaker 4 (01:05:29):
But then then then Steam would be in some wrestling tournament.

Speaker 6 (01:05:32):
Nick would come to watch him, and half the stands
are going to get autographs from Nick and not watching
the damn wrestling.

Speaker 1 (01:05:37):
And you're thinking, hey, that's a solid feeling that long
days wrestling.

Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
Now, it's a long day. Long days are up at
two three and you're not done till eight.

Speaker 1 (01:05:48):
But when you're bro is when your brother's good and
when they finally you know, the matchups finally start having.

Speaker 3 (01:05:53):
You know, it's something different about that sport. I hope
we're talking aim a lot about football, you guys, you're
both NFL guys and stuff, but it's just wrestling.

Speaker 1 (01:05:59):
Bro.

Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
When you watch your little brother go ahead like that, man,
like you look at the parent across and the brother across,
and there's just this there's this.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
Energy man, like our family versus we used to Yeah,
that definitely makes a person, you know him.

Speaker 3 (01:06:11):
So like a lot of the parents never really had it,
but but there were a couple of parents that had
some ship to say, and we would we would we
would give him a look and we'd be like, hey, man,
you fucking be careful with the way, with the way
you're talking right now. It's like, even pinned this. I remember,
I remember you pinned this kid, and uh, the kid
got up and like pushed him. And Steven's super humble.
My little brother is a fucking tank. But you never
he's really nice guy. He's a big baby. You know,

(01:06:33):
he really want to hurt nobody, you know, so so
he's you know, all right, fine, cool, gonna be a dickhead.
He praised his hand and his fucking dad starts talking
to him. And I was a lunatic at the time. Man,
I was like full fucking gym, just and you can
see it on your fight anywhere. Man, So I start talking,
You're talking to him like that came here, motherfucking and

(01:06:53):
big thing in the middle of the mat. You know,
it's just crazy.

Speaker 4 (01:06:56):
It was good times.

Speaker 3 (01:06:59):
I was ready all the times right then.

Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
Yeah, wrestling.

Speaker 3 (01:07:02):
It's a good seeing him go at it like that.
It's just different energy, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:07:05):
That's why.

Speaker 3 (01:07:06):
Like when we go to the m m A Fights
and ship, could you imagine that, Like you guys play football,
but like, bro, imagine your job is to go fire
your families. Families with the family wives are there.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
It's sports and one of the other wife is like
beat his ass.

Speaker 3 (01:07:20):
You know. The crowd like like looking at that, like wow,
this is really it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:25):
Once those gates closed, bro, in that octagon, like got
the one other person.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
That Alex pri that Alex Prayri fight that was supposed
to be McGregor Chandler. The face off he had with
that Croatian dude for five minutes. They just year at
each other. Eerie the best you have ever seen. Have
you met that guy, the Croatian cat?

Speaker 3 (01:07:42):
Yeah? No, oh my god. I met Eerie with Pops,
you know. And he goes, Nick, nice to meet you man,
and he goes, uh, Paradigm Agency. I go that's your agency.
That's cool man. Yeah, well that's a Connor's thing, right,
and he goes, uh uh a dime ag that's right right,

(01:08:05):
really nice meeting.

Speaker 4 (01:08:08):
Way man.

Speaker 3 (01:08:10):
Oh there's the big dog.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
Miszoom wrestler.

Speaker 3 (01:08:20):
There he is. We were just singing your prices is
that's when he won the state championship. I think something
like that.

Speaker 2 (01:08:26):
Right back to back him, I'm him.

Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
Yeah, ye remember when you won the States? Though it
was against that kid that was talking a little ship.
You had to put him down. His mom was crying.

Speaker 1 (01:08:39):
Yeah, I was getting cussed out.

Speaker 3 (01:08:41):
I was chanting to cry, cry, cry how bad you
beat him?

Speaker 1 (01:08:49):
So it was a match.

Speaker 3 (01:08:50):
It was like, yeah, whatever dogs are coming, remember heavyweight,
Like it's.

Speaker 1 (01:08:54):
Never oh yeah, we're to take that wins yeah or
yeah he gets a tossome over under getting over under
on somebody. Yeah, Like it's that kind of thing.

Speaker 3 (01:09:02):
So, I don't know. Stevie was an animal, man. I remember,
like I remember, it was so weird when he was
a kid too, because he was the sweetest kid.

Speaker 5 (01:09:10):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:09:11):
He's still, like I say, he's the nicest guy, you know,
and uh he's not like me, I'm a fucking dickhead,
but him, he's the nicest guy and you never know it.
And I remember when he started doing this ship. He
go to these tournaments and he he's this cute little kid.
This kid, my Grandma's there, you know, and we're all
hanging out and he's laying on grandma's you know. And

(01:09:31):
then he goes out there on the mat and he
just pin pin pin pin gold gold thing, you know,
And and he comes back and he puts he puts
his head on on grandma. You know, what the fuck
is going on? Man, figure it out. It's awesome, Grandma.

Speaker 1 (01:09:49):
We grew up in that era where it was like, uh,
the Palmers. Do you remember the Palmer Brothers out of
Ohio Logan Steiber, Yeah, Stevers, Yeah, the Steeverers. That was
like kind of Cody's Cody's a in generation. The Palmer Brothers.
Their dad was an absolute psychopath. Like if they didn't tech,
if they weren't teching kids in Tulsa and everything else,
like they were getting motherfucked. On the side of the

(01:10:10):
Palmer Bros. They'd be I remember calling crying because he
was like the magazine but he was like the cat
who won everything, and they didn't necessarily came out there
as much.

Speaker 2 (01:10:20):
Lance.

Speaker 1 (01:10:20):
Lance I think had a better career than Colin.

Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
Was like arm bro.

Speaker 1 (01:10:24):
Yeah, yeah, Bro, they were. That was a different family.

Speaker 6 (01:10:27):
My parents they're not They're not doing the job. They're
just they're just look at Ferrari's parents. Yeah, right, craziness.

Speaker 1 (01:10:36):
Yeah, it's it's the wrestling world. It's a different culture.

Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
Man, he's a little wild, a little wild.

Speaker 2 (01:10:40):
I don't know anything about wrestling. Wrestled Will three times.
He's bodied me every single time. Really, body, When I
was a kid, When I was a kid, I saw
one video of some kid getting slammed and snapping his elbow,
and I was like, I'm never fucking doing that. That
sounds like the dumbest thing ever.

Speaker 4 (01:10:55):
Do you have, Like the how much did you way
in high school?

Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
Fucking you're looking at it too. Well is my senior
year I was like two fifty four to fifty five.
But before that was I think my freshman year of
high school, I was like maybe two hundred and two ten.

Speaker 4 (01:11:07):
So freshman year, sophomore year, well, you put on about thirty.

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
Yeah, I just kind of, I guess. So if I
was like two ten fifteen every year with Mike Oh
he's talking about college. Yeah, college was Mike Barwis. That
was my coach for the first year. I played my
retrot freshman yet two eighty five and the big ten
I was like tiny holding on for dear life. I
played Adrian Claiborne, Ryan Carrigan, JJ Wall actually didn't play JJ,
but he was on the schedule.

Speaker 3 (01:11:30):
Oh Man, Cameron Hayward, bro it was.

Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
I remember my freshman year being like this is insane,
this is this is the Big ten, and it's like
first round pick, first round pick, first round pick. There's
a Buchane and a kid from Illinois.

Speaker 1 (01:11:43):
Yeah, he was nice.

Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
He was nice.

Speaker 2 (01:11:45):
He was a first round pick. Played against him too.
I remember thinking of my when I graduated, I will
my sophomore be from my retro sophomore year to my
senior year. I was right around that three hundred and
then to senior three. Tend to wake up in the morning,
go to was It wasn't Peter with pizza hut. There
was a pizza hut like downstairs in the common area

(01:12:06):
in the morning. Well no, I would go in the
afternoon and get the h Alfredo pasta with chicken chicken
Alfredo pasta, put it in the fridge, and then wake
up at three in the morning, smack it, go back
to sleep. Wake up at five point thirty, go get
the workout, throw up, get a big shake, go to
class just constantly eating, dude, constantly.

Speaker 4 (01:12:25):
There was nuts pizza.

Speaker 3 (01:12:28):
Bell's Pizza for the boys.

Speaker 2 (01:12:29):
Dude, you get a twenty four pack of Hams, you
get twenty a warm twenty four pack of Hams in
college and then a slice of Bell's pizza.

Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
Can't beat it.

Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
Yes, that was run across on Packard Street.

Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
Yeah, dude, that was That's unrecognizable. Yeah, that's super tight. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:12:53):
I mean Taylor's globe is like, it's got to be
a top three.

Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
You've had a nice glow up. It's strange. It's strange
how the bigger dudes skinny out like when they get
done in the league. Because we we know, like Uncle Mark, ye,
you know, we have an uncle that played at U
of M. He was an offensives guard at tackle.

Speaker 4 (01:13:15):
Yeah he was.

Speaker 3 (01:13:16):
He was just the same thing.

Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
Yeah, dude, love your old man.

Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
He's great. You just see it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:25):
In his eyes.

Speaker 2 (01:13:26):
You know.

Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
That's his dad that I know very well.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
Yeah yeah, yeah, our dad trust me, trust me.

Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
So when you get cut from the Seals, is that
you already knew. Plan B was going all into streaming.

Speaker 3 (01:13:41):
I was trying different things, throwing darts at the board,
you know, because gaming hadn't really taken off at all,
you know, and we just we all knew that what
we kind of assumed that it just was never going
to And I was playing Gears Award at the time,
and it was on that MLG Pro circuit where you
could go to a bunch of big tournaments and you can,

(01:14:02):
you know, if you're good enough, you can win a
bunch of money and you might come out okay, you
know what I mean. And we were they kicked it
off the pro circuit, and that's when it was like
we wi we WIO, like we got to do something
with our life now, because there's nothing else out there, okay.
And that was when I did the Seal thing. And
then when we had failed, and when I had failed
and I came back, I was doing community college. I

(01:14:24):
was part time at a powerhouse gym and gaming just
with the boys, like for fun on the side, and
we didn't have anything to grind or get after. But
then Call of Duty had come out with Call of
Duty Ghosts, so I bought that, played that and I
started playing these little small tournaments on the side and
I'm streaming them, and my viewership starts going from like

(01:14:44):
twenty people to like eighty to like one hundred, and
then like four hundred, five hundred people. And now I'm
starting to have this little, this little swallow ray, and
I mean every night it's a fucking party. And I
got five hundred people coming in there. We're playing tournaments. Man,
we're locked in, We're doing the end. She drinks and
that that was the true beginning. I mean I had
been streaming before that, but it's only for fun. When

(01:15:06):
I had five hundred people in there, and the industry
was starting to turn a little bit, like there was
more fire on it, there was more cash coming in.
I was. I was in community college. Man, I just
did not I was just doing it to check the box,
like yeah, I'm trying to do something dead, you know, Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:15:22):
Right?

Speaker 3 (01:15:23):
How it off? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:15:24):
How did the industry start to evolve? Like was there
a platform that that came out at the time?

Speaker 3 (01:15:30):
Was it?

Speaker 1 (01:15:31):
Because I remember when I think it was like twenty eighteen,
twenty nineteen, when I felt like Roger staffold Katy Vacaro.
They started to like invest people started to.

Speaker 2 (01:15:39):
Yo started a company for all gaming.

Speaker 1 (01:15:42):
That's what I'm saying. I forget what it's called, but
educate us on how that.

Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
Also Jack and the boys keep bringing up Tyler and
Tinja big big shout out to him, man, because I
will talk about him in a second. But let's let's
back up, because this was great for gaming, and it
catapulted gaming to where it is today. But gaming was
already on fire pre this. I mean in my opinion,
and I can give you some stats and you might
you might be like, damn, But when we were playing

(01:16:07):
Call of Duty, like I got that five hundred people
in the stream every night, you know, that was called
Duty Ghost and aw, what was happening was the technology
was getting better. So what we're doing here like the
podcast stuff like you remember the podcast Boom. Now everybody's
got the mics and we're all talking about ship like
kind of like that with gaming, like it started to
become super accessible to be a streamer to stream, so

(01:16:27):
everybody starts doing it, and then everybody starts trying to
create content. But only so many people can actually go
and play these games at a high like we gangs compete,
right like these these these lines that fucking.

Speaker 1 (01:16:37):
Suck and have personality. I say that too.

Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
A lot of the people that are so good are dark,
like talking to a fucking wall like there's.

Speaker 2 (01:16:43):
Is nothing there, right, they got that touch.

Speaker 3 (01:16:45):
So I'm in this weird little area where I'm like, okay,
you know, I got I have a personality, but I'm
also fucking cracked, you know, so, so my viewership is
just going saying that it's dude, I mean, that was
a big a couple of years man, calldy ghosts into
AW no sorry, call to the Ghosts into uh yeah

(01:17:06):
into into AW into Black Ops three?

Speaker 1 (01:17:08):
What's AW advanced to Warfare?

Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
Stee right?

Speaker 1 (01:17:12):
Yea, okay, oh yeah, okay, got you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:17:14):
Just like new call Due games are coming out and
we're playing them, and the viewership is just growing because
we're just we're winning tournament after tournament, and it's getting
crazier and crazier, and it gets to this point where
you know, you got like two three, four, five thousand
people in the stream every night, and you got like
ten k people paying you X amount per month plus donations.
I mean, now you're scoop. You know, you're doing like

(01:17:36):
one hundred two hundred K and you don't even know
how how the fuck you got here. You're just a
kid that was playing games. You're good at them. You win,
you're passionate, so they're in the stream being entertained by it.
You're you're thankful for that. You're now I'm now I'm
finding ways to give back, like we're doing giveaways, we're
doing community tournaments. Like hey, listen, you might be a
smaller streamer without an audience. Okay, like a smaller podcast group.

(01:17:58):
You bring the small podcast guy on your podcast, and
your podcast gives him great exposure, right you just you
just hooked him up. So now I'm doing I'm doing
much like that. And then you know, at that point,
that's when Fortnite came out, and I mean I was
already averaging like five thousands, six thousand people and Fortnite drops.
I had never played a BR and a BR is

(01:18:20):
where like you know, the gas closes everybody for themselves,
whoever is left alive at the end, you know, it
gets to win. And I didn't play a BR because
you know, PUBG was out. H one was out, people
were playing that. But that wasn't for controller. I'm a controller.
I fucking can't play keyboard mouse. I'm just ass. But
before Nite had come out and I hopped on it

(01:18:41):
real early because I was just super excited to play
a br and dude, it was just it was it
was just a good decision in hindsight. I mean, the
game just fucking blew up. And Tyler's a big, a big,
you know, catalyst of that.

Speaker 1 (01:18:55):
And I hate to sound dumb, Tyler's ninja.

Speaker 3 (01:18:57):
Yeah, okay, yeah, he's a good buddy of mind me
him go way back.

Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
Yeah, he's like one of the first streamers as from
a cat Like I don't I don't know anything about
the streaming game, but that's like one of the people
that were like the face of streaming right.

Speaker 3 (01:19:09):
When he was the face of stream because of like
the streams that he did, like when this game took
off and took gaming to a whole new like just
a whole new he he was the guy in the
front that did that. But like, look he's up here.
All of us are down here. But I'm in this bitch, man.
I mean I was. I was told my own thing,
low ki like really nice. I mean that those those

(01:19:30):
those five thousand people were twenty k, thirdy k fucking
moving man, But he was up like one hundred k,
two hundred k streaming with Drake. That Drake stream had
like eight hundred thousand people in it or some shit
wild man, you know, those but those are those are
things we never thought we'd ever see.

Speaker 2 (01:19:45):
When you're doing eight hundred k or three hundred k
people streaming, what kind of money is that?

Speaker 3 (01:19:50):
I had two streams in the history of my career
that went over four hundred thousand viewers. And I mean, like,
you do you do eight hours of that with ads
and subs? I mean, do you're you're legitimately making in
a day, you're making like twenty to fifty k. It
just depends on how many ads you run, how many
people sub you know, man, yeah, insane? How did it?

(01:20:13):
We didn't know what to do. Bro. You guys might
understand because like you got it on the podcast thing
and like you know, you got to build it up
and you understand from that point. But like your people
and the people that tune into your poet like they
were there. You know, the football has been a thing
for a long time, like gaming is just it's like
some trailblazing shit Like these last ten years we've seen

(01:20:34):
gaming go from this to that, and it's like, really
it was just hard to digest and take it all
in and how to move like you got to you know,
you can't really go to anybody like, hey, how do
I do this? They don't fucking know.

Speaker 1 (01:20:46):
Yeah, that's what I want to ask about, Like how
as you're becoming a streamer or as you you know,
you're a video game guy, you love streaming, how did
you learn how to start building a business out of it?
Cause I assume that's really I assume that really hard
to do. Like again, you got you're probably gonna have
young kids now that want to know.

Speaker 3 (01:21:04):
How to do it.

Speaker 1 (01:21:05):
How did that start to develop for you and you're like, Okay,
I'm getting all this money, like building content, like having
the cameras.

Speaker 3 (01:21:12):
It's gonna sound crazy, man, But I think when people
focus too much on the business side of things, even
maybe in podcasting too, Like you guys got your thing
to do here, you're with your homies. You guys are
all real passionate about this stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:21:22):
You're on your.

Speaker 3 (01:21:23):
Bus, you know, like this feels good, man, It feels
like grassroots, Like fucking let's go man. We started from here.
We're just fucking slinging it. You know, like when you
lose that, it can it can get weird. Quick. You know,
you got to remember that you were that kid playing
that call of duty in your room at two am,
and you got to hold onto that. So like the

(01:21:44):
creative business thing, like, yeah, I see where you're going,
and you're right, it is a business. But like my
first foot forward with anything is not truly ever about
the business. It's more so just like passion, you know,
like if I'm into something, then I'll do it, you know,
like I didn't come on this podcast for business. I
came on the podcast because I like you guys, and
I like football. I like our conversations, I like our relationships,

(01:22:04):
and I thought it'd be fun to have a conversation.
You know that. Now I'm not gonna be ignorant that
this could help my business. There could be people out
there that tune into this and that will now for
sure or back and forth. Right, So that's good and
you shouldn't ignore that, you know, you should put a
percentage of thought process into that. It's just you got
to be careful with how much you dump in there.

Speaker 1 (01:22:23):
But as you're developing and people are running a sponsor,
are you the one having these conversations?

Speaker 3 (01:22:27):
Yeah? Yeah, I mean I have a guy that takes
care of a lot of that stuff too, you know,
but we talk about it all the time, justin you know,
and he he's my agent. You know. We're real particular
about who we work with, especially nowadays, man, you know,
and I mean now that I'm a father, you know,
the companies that represent the people I want to do
business with. You know, it's it's not as open, you know.
I got I got a little kid. I gotta you know,

(01:22:49):
I gotta, I gotta play my cards, right. I can't
be just partner up with anybody, you know. I got
to make sure it aligns with my views and how
I see things going, you know, the direction I want
to not only this country, but this planet to go in.

Speaker 1 (01:23:01):
You know, right, I got another one. If you I
was gonna ask explain this Twitch universe you are you
currently banned on it?

Speaker 4 (01:23:11):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:23:11):
I did get banned though, for saying a derogatory term tranny.
It was tranny, you know, and true and truth be told,
I really did not know that I was ever used
as a derogatory term for those people. I really didn't,
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
But it's just you're you're you're so well spoken, and
then you were obviously in a hairy, like watery situation,
and you're like, I just don't you just want to
say the right thing here?

Speaker 3 (01:23:38):
Yeah, you do. You know, I think I've stopped caring
as much about what people think about my opinions. You know,
I believe the things I believe, and if people ask me,
I'm going to share those things. I'm confident. And then
you know, I'm always eager to learn more and to
explore the other side of the coin. But at the
same time, I strongly disagree with all of that stuff.

(01:23:59):
You know, I think it's in inherently unhealthy and it's
a scary precedent to set going forward for young children
to say, hey, listen, if they're feeling a type of way,
they can do this, this, this, and that I believe,
you know, through the way I was raised and now
being a father myself, that there's other ways to combat
that that if at the least the first thing that
we should do is try to find a healthier alternative

(01:24:20):
than the things that we're doing. So, you know, I
spoke about that, and there's a lot of trans people
out there and LGB people that probably think that I
hate them, but I don't, you know, the real truth
is is that I feel bad. You know that they
feel the way they do, and I want what's best
for them. I just don't think that it's smart to

(01:24:40):
pedal and push the things that they're doing. Yeah, I
really don't. I think that that's bad, and it's been
proven to be bad. You know, when you make those
kinds of changes to your body and then you encourage
them at a young age, that is just I can't
believe that we live in a world that does that.
So I spoke out about that. I did use the
word tranning. I did not mean to be derogatory, but

(01:25:02):
make no mistake about it. I was talking shit like
I I don't want to sit up here, and I
was talking ship. But I'm giving it as good as
I get it, because you know, when you open up
that door. I mean a lot of these people, you know,
they live online, man, and they're about it online.

Speaker 1 (01:25:18):
Yeah, that's what I was going.

Speaker 3 (01:25:19):
To ask Patrolling.

Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
Did you did you become more passionate about this stance
once you had a kid?

Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
Yeah? I became more passionate about the stance, and I
also became more comfortable speaking about it because, like I
said earlier, man, I think having a kid and being
a parent. A lot of times you hear parents say that, like,
you know, having a kid changes everything. I don't know
if I believe that, you know, I haven't been a
parent for too long, right, but I do believe that
having a kid changes the way you think about everything.
So and look, look, I kind of always thought this way.

(01:25:49):
I just I wasn't as passionate, right.

Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
Right, because it's not necessarily affecting or has a potential
to affection.

Speaker 3 (01:25:54):
Who cares, right, just keep it going. But I mean,
you know, you're seeing a lot more of it, and
you're seeing it become an issue in schools, especially here
in this country, and I just you know it if
and when, hopefully someday, we look back on this time
and it's a lot different. I would have been super
disappointed in myself that I never said anything right straight up,
that's what I thought about it. I spoke to my dad

(01:26:15):
about you know, dad, am I making the wrong decision?
And like you you know, business wise, yeah, I'm burning
all kinds of cash, but I'm set. I'm set. I'm good.
So that's also a different It's a little caveat in
the conversation too. You know, you might ask yourself, you know, hey, Nick,
should you have said something way sooner?

Speaker 4 (01:26:30):
You know?

Speaker 3 (01:26:30):
Did you hold out because of the bread? I mean,
the truth is is that I had a kid. That's
the truth, and that was a big turning point for me.

Speaker 4 (01:26:38):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:26:39):
But it's definitely the combination of a lot of things. Man.
You know, either way, I have a community that strongly
believes in me. There's so many people out there that
agree with me on this topic as well. They're just
afraid to talk about it, speak about it because you
get in big trouble.

Speaker 4 (01:26:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
Really, you gotta hop around, man, I mean, how do
you guys feel about that? If you know?

Speaker 1 (01:26:55):
I loved everything you say right there, I'm interested too.
Like you you refer to speaking your old man like,
I'm sure it's kind of difficult to try and maneuver
your words when you when you're like in a world
where it's just chat online. How are people thinking about me?
How are people feeling to where you get to a
point of freedom of like, listen, I'm gonna I'm gonna
let it ride. I'm gonna speak on this. I don't

(01:27:17):
I you you give less fucks about what people think?
Was that like a difficult balance when you finally like
kind of found that footing.

Speaker 3 (01:27:24):
Yeah, man, like a big, a big, a big hurdle,
you know, because you don't want to make people mad,
like I don't want to wake up every day and
piss people off at the end of the day. The
guy that's tweeted me the paragraph when he's upset, like,
I don't want him to be mad or disappointed in me.
I'm sorry that he feels the way he does about me,
and I wish I could do something about it. And like,
if he could really just rip the truth out of
my fucking chest and put it in front of him,

(01:27:45):
he would see that I'm not this enemy unless he
wants that being taught to kids in school, than you
are my enemy, right, So you know, it's it's just
this thing. It's it's it's.

Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
Logically everything you said I align with. Especially having kids,
you run of those issues with things being taught to
kids in school. And when it's like, hey, you're going
to school to learn the things you need to learn
at school, not the thing, not what you think the
kids should learn, but just like the math, the science,
the history, all those things, and then let me go,
let me go Hay and then and then it's up

(01:28:18):
to us as parents to go in now instill these
beliefs that we want. If you're a religious cat, you
want to instill religion, if you you know, all those things,
because it's very difficult for me to understand, like my
children's opinions are really like the opinions they have are
kind of the opinions I have and that they've heard,
and so they just feel that way as well. So
like it's it's a it's a it's just Harry. When

(01:28:39):
you start messing with kids and not allowing them to
develop and grow the way you want them to, it
just becomes more difficult. It it's more difficult to like
stand by this letter, right. I struggle with that all
the time.

Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
Yeah, man, And I mean, you know, people people like
to say that, oh you throw you throw being a
parent around, you throw being a parent, you know what
I mean, Like anybody can have an opinion even if
they're not a parent. I agree with that. I just
think that there's a perspective that's gained after having your
own kid, which I'm sure you guys can agree with, right,
And it's just you know, you know how impressionable your

(01:29:10):
kids are, and you know how impressiable your kid is.

Speaker 4 (01:29:12):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:29:13):
It's like I know as well, Like when I do
stuff in front of my little boy, you know, he
does it back and vice versa. Like we play all
the time, we hang out all the time, so we
know how impressionable these young minds are because we were
young too. Man Like it like, it's just not it
doesn't make sense to encourage these kinds of things when

(01:29:33):
we know how kids are.

Speaker 1 (01:29:35):
When you get banned, is this somebody from Twitch reaching
out to you, letting letting you know?

Speaker 3 (01:29:39):
Yeah, I said that. I said that, and they banned
me for before it is a week.

Speaker 4 (01:29:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
I found out when I was on the way to
see you guys in Vegas no ship. Yeah, it was
like three in the morning and we I woke up
to being banned. It was like, okay, you know I
didn't really care.

Speaker 1 (01:29:54):
Man, is there not like a like some strike system
or anything.

Speaker 3 (01:29:57):
It's just kind of they're usually is man, and I
don't have any strikes. But I will say, uh, they
take that very seriously at twitt, you know, like look,
I mean Twitch and just the gaming world in general
is very pro all that so I'm kind of like
a dinosaur. I'm off on my own, you know, but
you know my community. I was gonna say, your audience,

(01:30:18):
there are they. I think the majority of them aligne
as well, but but there are some that have not,
and they've spoken about that, you know. But it was that.

Speaker 1 (01:30:25):
Now was that, and I'm sorry for being ignorant about this,
was that when you were like, we're gonna, uh, we're
gonna boycott call of duty.

Speaker 3 (01:30:32):
I never called for a boycott.

Speaker 1 (01:30:34):
That was the audience that people were doing what people do, right.

Speaker 3 (01:30:37):
I never said like, hey, don't play god.

Speaker 2 (01:30:38):
It has to make you feel good though, knowing your
audience is like that.

Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
Yeah, I mean, you know, it's crazy. It's like the
internet though it lives for two weeks and then it dies.
It's weird. Yeah, it's very strange.

Speaker 2 (01:30:47):
So that's another thing that people need to read, almost
like a far wines on the internet.

Speaker 3 (01:30:50):
When things are.

Speaker 2 (01:30:51):
Good, it's like, hey, this in a week, this will
be gone. When things are bad, you think the world's
coming out, it's like this is gonna be over twenty four.

Speaker 1 (01:30:56):
It's gonna be something new there.

Speaker 3 (01:30:57):
But something always something to it about, you know, or
be happy about it's it goes up and it goes down, man,
you know, right, but that was a big moment in
my career. Man. I mean, I've never been in trouble
like that. I've never been in heat like that, I
guess per se, you know. And uh, I think currently
today I feel real good about it all. Man. I'm
very proud of myself that I said what I said.
I know it's not an easy thing to say. And uh,

(01:31:21):
as time goes on, I'm getting I'm getting more and
more confident speaking on this. I've done a lot of research, man,
I really I've spoken to a lot of people on
both sides of it too. Man. I think ultimately we
all agree that we want that we want what's best
for people, you know, and me. You know, I'm I'm
a pretty healthy gamer. And that's where a lot of
this comes from. Man, It's just overall health, you know, Like,
do you take care of yourself? Is this taking care?

(01:31:42):
You know why I signed off on every fucking stream,
every YouTube video I do. I say, take care of yourself,
take care of each other piece of love.

Speaker 1 (01:31:47):
Man.

Speaker 4 (01:31:48):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 3 (01:31:48):
Yeah, I mean that take care of yourself? And is
that taking care of yourself, cutting off pieces of your body,
taking fucking drugs that are horrible for you, your mind
and your body. It's inherently, no matter how you spin it,
a very unhealthy thing to do, you know. And I
just can't. I can't sign off on that.

Speaker 2 (01:32:07):
Right after the week, band, what's your relationship with Twitch?

Speaker 1 (01:32:10):
Like?

Speaker 3 (01:32:10):
Now, it's okay, you know, they understand there's going to
be different flavors on Twitch, you know. But at the
same time, man, if I had to guess, there's some
people in that office that really don't mess with me.
But it's like, look, look, I don't have any weird
shit in my heart about it, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:32:26):
Yeah, I appreciate you speaking on it too.

Speaker 3 (01:32:27):
Yeah, No, I don't mind.

Speaker 1 (01:32:28):
Yeah, you do a good job.

Speaker 3 (01:32:30):
No doubt.

Speaker 2 (01:32:30):
There was the doctor and the notes here that shrim
get me doctor disrespect.

Speaker 3 (01:32:34):
Yeah, that's a tough one right now too. Man, I'm
not gonna lie to you. It's tough.

Speaker 2 (01:32:38):
And you obviously know him personally, good dude.

Speaker 3 (01:32:40):
I know him. I know him. I know him personally,
I do. I mean we met in person twice briefly,
you know, and we've played a lot of games together
throughout the years, there's this people think that we're like
best friends. That's not true, you know. And then people
also say, oh, they only game a couple of times.

(01:33:01):
That's not true either. We're somewhere in the center. Like
when he text me, when you used to he would
text me in character, you know, like the doc does
what the doc wants. Man, I mean, that's the truth,
you know, and when he, uh, when all this stuff
came out about him over the past few months or whatever,

(01:33:22):
you know, it's been real hard because the internet hates, well,
the gaming world hates a guy like Doc. They hate
a guy like me. They hate a guy that represents family,
you know, being a dude's dude. You know, uh, you
got to dance to the beat of their drum and
we don't. We just don't. So he he you know

(01:33:43):
when he when that stuff came out, originally, everybody just
immediately jumped on board with canceling this guy. Let's get
this guy the funk out of here, man, stat I mean, everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:33:54):
Did, and everybody who hates him. When you're ready to
see somebody fall and they start to fall, right you
sing narrative possible to put this.

Speaker 3 (01:34:03):
You know, pedophilia and and underage stuff. I mean that's
a slam dunk, right, yeah, I mean so, so the
internet went crazy. But this was before we had not
a single ounce of proof. All we had was an
ex Twitch employee that had said that this was going on.
We didn't even have a comment from Doc. You know.
So people are on Nick, how come you don't text

(01:34:24):
him on the side, motherfucker. I fucking did. But he
couldn't tell me anything because he's bound in this big
suit with with Twitch, so you can't say anything. He
sent me a texting. I can't really say much, man,
I'm sorry. So that goes on. The Internet's canceling this guy.
Everybody because the trans stuff just happened. Everybody's like, oh, Nick,

(01:34:46):
how about this guy? This is your boy? Huh.

Speaker 1 (01:34:49):
You have a strong stance here exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
I I go on, I say, listen, man, I understand
what people are saying. Let's wait till we get some facts.
Let's wait till we hear what's actually going on, and
then and then we'll make a decision. I was one
of the only ones that fucking did that. Everybody else
just jumped to conclusions.

Speaker 2 (01:35:07):
Now to me, and let's put let's put a time
out real quick. The way you handled it maybe the
most logical way to handle it. Right, someone accuse somebody
or something, you would think instead of just being like
righte judicial system and it's and I could be I
could be talking out of my ass right now because
I actually don't even know the full context of the
situation with doctor disrespect. But any of these things you

(01:35:29):
look at and you're like, all right, Like we talked
about de Shan Watson earlier. One thing comes out like,
let's get the facts. The one comes out you're like,
all right, let's get the facts. We start rolling down
a little bit hill, like all right, now we understand
now the doctor's that. So I want to say, like
that is a great logical way of handling a situation
like that when you're being thrust it into essentially something
that's not your business.

Speaker 3 (01:35:50):
I mean, in any light, when somebody says that a
person did something, you can't just throw them down the hill.
You got to prove it, man, It's gotta be something there, anything, something,
So I wait too, You're I got a bunch of
shit for waiting. Everyone's like, fuck you man, speak out
and your boy, what the fuck me? You know, I mean,
I got I got railed on social but I was
the only one that didn't, so I waited. Then he

(01:36:11):
comes out with a statement, do you guys know about
that tweet? So this guy comes out, tweet up, comes
out this tweet, and which is now deleted by the way,
it's his tweet of like a bunch of different paragraphs.
And it was the worst tweet that I have ever
seen from somebody in trouble. Not only was the original
the worst, Get this, This motherfucker edits that same tweet

(01:36:35):
like six times. He edits like key words out of
the tweet. But you can go back and see the
original tweet on the fucking thread. So there's no point
of editing out if you can just see it, right.
So he's just making this horrible. So this comes out me,
Tim Denny. We all get together. It's like, fuck, man,

(01:36:56):
I can't believe it. He and and he admits in
the tweet to talking to somebody inappropriately who was underage.
Now let's just make sure the whole bus. Let's get
a time out in the bus, time out, hard time out.
But a bunch of dudes in here respect we all

(01:37:18):
everybody agrees that if that's a case. It's done done
no matter how it. I mean, if you if you're
speaking inappropriately with a fucking with an underraged person, it's
done for me. But that's that, that's me done. I
don't care what the fuck it is. You guys agree,
everybody agree, agree, Anybody don't agree agreed, So like anybody

(01:37:40):
else would in this bus, I go on there. Everybody's pressed.
The whole world's pressing me, right because they can speak
out on trans stuff. But when his own boys with
the underrate, you're right, okay, go on to Twitter, I say, look,
facts came out basically, you know this sucks fucking ass.
We didn't know about this obviously, and we're gonna cut
ties and we don't condone or agree with any with

(01:38:01):
anything like this. They're not happy with that either, So
why are they not happy with it? Because like, oh,
so you can go hard on to leave the kids
a loanship, but when it's your boy, it's just like, oh,
you're not happy about it? What the fuck do you want? Man?
I said, I don't condone, it's disgusting and and we're

(01:38:24):
cutting ties. Done. So weeks go by. This guy deletes
that tweet and then says that it was all a
joke and he just was He put out that tweet
as bait to see who his real friends are. Oh yeah,
so so he got his community reactivates the old nick

(01:38:46):
you turn on your boy, yadada, YadA, YadA, you know,
and that's this whole fucking thing when like we know
that's not true. I mean, he sent a text to me,
Timmy and Clock as well, saying like, hey boys, I'm
sorry that this. I'm sorry that you guys are in this.
You know, I wish I wish it wasn't this way.
I apologize, you know, for that. And I mean he
never we don't really text like that like crazy, so

(01:39:09):
but putting that aside, man, like it's enough for me,
you know, to cut ties. And you know, the situation
sucks Dad in the bed that well, he feels some
type of way because we met him his wife and
his daughter at the super Bowl, you know what I mean.
And I got all of his fans on my dick, like, Yo,
what a fucking great friend you are. Yeah, bro, you

(01:39:29):
meet his wife and his daughter at the super Bowl
and then find out this forty four year old dude
is sleezing around with some seventeen year old, you know,
and we already know he cheated on his wife. He
went on the stream and admitted that, and it was
run the same timeline as all this stuff is coming out.
It's like, dude, you know, like, get fucking real, man.
You can't win with these people. That's what I'm realizing. Like,

(01:39:50):
the Internet is the Internet. It's gonna internet. You know,
you do what you do. You keep your fucking nose forward,
stay out of trouble, keep it popping. Real, be fucking real, man.
Too many motherfuckers are fake, not only in this world,
but especially in the gaming scene. Man. A lot of
two phase people. They pretend to care about things they
really don't care about. You know, this ship's fucking crazy

(01:40:14):
stock stuff. I mean, that's that's so fake. I mean, look,
the guy gets on stream every day in a fucking costume,
So I I guess it makes sense, you know, but
what the.

Speaker 2 (01:40:23):
Fuck playing a character, playing character.

Speaker 3 (01:40:26):
About being fake? He's he's he's fucking look at him. Look,
you know, look I'll throw I'll throw his community a bone,
you know, and I will say, and it shouldn't it
shouldn't go without I mean, it shouldn't go without saying, man,
I mean what he did for the streaming world and
gaming community as well. I mean, that's one of the
biggest entertainers online in the history of the industry forever.

(01:40:51):
I mean for fucking ever, his production, the work he
puts in his next heleble. But you just can't do
things like that, and and to say that your friends
are expected to stand by you as you make those
kinds of mistakes, and when these are the same friends
that got kids of their own. Man, I mean, it's
not like me and doct are like you two. We
don't live in the same town again, the same fucking bust.

Speaker 1 (01:41:11):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:41:11):
I mean, this guy's in California. I'm in Florida. We
play games together, but he's in a fucking costume and
speaks with an accent. I mean, we're not really best
buddies here, right right. People were mad about that too,
that was playing down the relationship, But that's the reality
of the situation.

Speaker 1 (01:41:25):
Well, I think too. It's like, you know, up until
that point, it's like somebody in the streaming community, you
see him as like one of your boys, not like
best friends or nothing like that. But when something like
that comes out you're all the facts are now. You
ultimately want to believe the best and who you're kind
of seeing at first, and then when it's not, you're
kind of like, that fucking sucks. I feel kind of
dumb that I got looped into that and believe in

(01:41:46):
this and that. So yeah, it's just all around it is.
It's a shitty situation.

Speaker 3 (01:41:50):
Yeah, I mean hard. You're not gonna win. That's the
truest part is that this situation is just shit because
he's claiming that Twitch was after him, and there really
might be some truth to that, like they didn't like
him and there was some contractual things that lined up
that makes sense with his But at the end of
the day, he admitted to doing what people were saying

(01:42:10):
that he did right, and then edited the tweet seven times,
and then the lead of the tweet, bro, we're done.
Say we're done. You know you're done.

Speaker 2 (01:42:16):
Say we're done.

Speaker 3 (01:42:17):
We're done. Man, that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:42:18):
Yeah, it's a tough deal.

Speaker 3 (01:42:20):
Man or Hot topics today on the bus Man.

Speaker 2 (01:42:22):
Hot Tops the last twenty minutes Hot topics. We can
we can pivot?

Speaker 3 (01:42:24):
What do you hold on? I want to know what
do you enjoy?

Speaker 2 (01:42:26):
More sports gambling or playing cards, playing back.

Speaker 3 (01:42:30):
Roun blackjack jack with all that is unreal. Man, it's
a fucking out there. No, No, we went up the first.

Speaker 2 (01:42:38):
Well last time I saw you, you were no I
thought you murdered.

Speaker 3 (01:42:42):
No, we did the first time. Yeah, both of us
went up there. Yes, second time tunnel chaos slaughtered tunnel.

Speaker 2 (01:42:49):
Okay, you know who is one of the more impressive
human beings just putting their nutsack on the table. Is
that exposed Cody Man? He is a lunatic because me,
like you know.

Speaker 3 (01:43:01):
Did he sends you there tonight with Lions?

Speaker 5 (01:43:03):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (01:43:03):
But the way he sports cables is crazy.

Speaker 3 (01:43:06):
One hundred K on the Lions to win.

Speaker 2 (01:43:09):
The Super Bowl. I'm pretty sure you wont eight hundred
thousand dollars on the Super Bowl betting the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (01:43:13):
No, that was the MMA fight. Then we all went
to that's right. There's a story behind that super quick
he put four zero. He was trying to do forty
k out of parlay and he added another zero, put
four hundred K on the parlay to win eight hundred
and he he hit it and then they wouldn't let
him change it, and we rode it out. We rode

(01:43:33):
it out and it won. Yeah, I'll never, I'll never.

Speaker 2 (01:43:38):
Just insane the way he operates. And then when we're
when we're playing on the table too, like when I
play solo or I don't have I don't have Dana. Yeah,
my numbers as far as big cats go away way lord. Actually,
the biggest bets I was ever doing was you, me
and Cody that one night we mess we were out.
I just wanted to win ten k. Gets the pizza.
Couldn't fucking do it and get the pizza. Couldn't get
the pizza.

Speaker 3 (01:43:57):
Pizza. We're just trying to get ten k. Then pizza break. Yeah,
two hands.

Speaker 2 (01:44:03):
And they were sitting right behind us to just yes.

Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
Good yes, good times, good times.

Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
But this guy, Cody Man, he will go out there solo,
just him and his boys and play and I just
he's awesome, dude, too good guys.

Speaker 3 (01:44:18):
Some people are just don't they just play hard million.

Speaker 2 (01:44:23):
Well, I heard I heard the same thing about Aiden Ross,
the way he goes about his game playing. I've been
We've obviously been around him in that setting. I'm never
played with him, but apparently the kid puts massive amounts
of money x QC. I don't know who xx.

Speaker 3 (01:44:36):
QC is one of the biggest streamers in the Can
you pull up x q C. If you saw his.

Speaker 2 (01:44:41):
Face, you probably know the streaming, the follow me around
streaming thing. I just I haven't fully wrapped my head
around that.

Speaker 3 (01:44:47):
What do you mean, Like, like, who's the neo then?
Is that Neo? Yeah? Neon?

Speaker 2 (01:44:53):
Like he's he's constantly streaming himself, no disrespect. I don't
know why I had one interaction with Neon.

Speaker 3 (01:45:01):
Dad's gone, he goes, he goes around. Yeah, he's out.
He goes around with bodyguards and purposely he's like purposely
provocative and then when it's ready to happen, the bodyguards
come in. That bothers me and he's that UFC really problematic.

Speaker 2 (01:45:15):
The UFC fight we were all at last time. Apparently
he was like talking about you know, try Trump or
something like that and the Gate. Yeah, and I'm a
I could be fucking this whole thing up, but they
don't let him in.

Speaker 3 (01:45:24):
Well, there's a new era of like content creation, and
you're seeing it like that's what you're seeing. It's this
like anything for some clicks and and clips, and like
when I say anything like he literally threatened Trump's life
outside of the UFC, like you can't.

Speaker 2 (01:45:40):
They try to get in the UFC like on the
floor as well.

Speaker 3 (01:45:44):
Right, Its a lot of that. Man.

Speaker 2 (01:45:46):
I like this Neon guy. I met him one time,
shook his hand.

Speaker 3 (01:45:50):
You met Neon, I believe so.

Speaker 2 (01:45:52):
Yeah, Steve gave me a watch because me and Dana
got him out of a pinch one night we played.
We got his money back. The next day he gave
me a role X Neon, if I'm saying that correctly,
was there, Oh yeah, I was. Hey, he's a hey man.
Great to make you seem like a really nice guy.
Bull of them wipe my hands and I left. So
my one experience I've had fine, but I don't like.

(01:46:13):
I don't like how these cats are ripping around with
big black security guards.

Speaker 3 (01:46:19):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:46:19):
And they're fucking essentially being the Internet out in the
real world, but with protection.

Speaker 3 (01:46:26):
Yeah, there's a couple of people spiced they want to
and then people want to try them.

Speaker 2 (01:46:30):
Would all of a sudden the security guards come in.

Speaker 3 (01:46:31):
It's important. It's important to note though, for your audience,
Aiden Ross is not like him. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:46:37):
See here's what I say about Aiden. I've only been
around him a handful of times. We saw him in Miami,
and I've seen him a few times before, and I
was like, hey, man, we don't think we've officially met.
And he was real cool in that moment. The times
before that, he'd always kind of walk in the room
with his crew not really say anything. So I didn't
know what to think of him. But one time I
spoke to him, I was like, Oh, this kid seems
like he got it.

Speaker 3 (01:46:57):
What's weird?

Speaker 4 (01:46:58):
Man?

Speaker 3 (01:46:58):
Like with NFL and like this kid, who's this kid
right here?

Speaker 2 (01:47:01):
That the white kid, that's Jack.

Speaker 3 (01:47:03):
He's one of the worst.

Speaker 2 (01:47:04):
He does the same thing right, horrible.

Speaker 3 (01:47:07):
They're both horrible. The point I was getting at though,
like pro ballplayers, you know, like you guys live in life.
It's really interesting in a way in a lot of ways.
But something that's kind of hard to deal with is
getting popular and getting fame so young, Like you're mad young,
and all of a sudden, you got all this cash,
you got all his fame. How do you deal with it?
And you see guys in the NFL struggle with that

(01:47:28):
every year. Right Well, streaming is getting to the point
now where kids can do this like a pop off
stream can set a kid up for another huge year,
and then all of a sudden, you're this kid, and
if you don't handle it right, if you don't have parents,
and he's just right there, like on the mat, I
don't care. You want to flex, and you flex. But

(01:47:49):
like it's just the things they do, like when they're
provocative on stream, they're going around there being disrespectful to
people that don't even deserve it. Like, you know, his
father should smack him in the head for that, you know,
because if I did that, he beat the hell out me.
If I did some shit like that, if I go
up and screaming like I saw some other guy fucking
screaming a little kid, like, you just can't. You don't
do certain things, you know what, great power comes great responsibility.

(01:48:11):
Spider Man, Yea, I love it. I just it's a
new age. It's a new thing. It's becoming pretty popular,
and these kids gotta be careful.

Speaker 1 (01:48:21):
Man, he's got a massive I mean that kid seems
like a loser.

Speaker 3 (01:48:25):
He is, man, he really is. It's the but you
know what, Like it's hard to fault him too though,
because now this success is so is so prevalent, so
he's in this mode and he's cooking. He's fucking cooking
right now. So so, now, how do you tell a
kid like that that's cooking and he's making all his bread,
putting it.

Speaker 4 (01:48:42):
I'm sure he's.

Speaker 3 (01:48:43):
Putting his mom and his dad on, you know what
I mean. I'm sure his parents are probably.

Speaker 2 (01:48:46):
Proud of Him's got a good ecosystem around him.

Speaker 3 (01:48:47):
Right, So how do you slow a kid like that down?
How do you say, hey, the way you're acting is ridiculous?
He go, what the fun are you talking about? Look at
this Ferrari right here? Yeah, I mean it's hard to
teach him.

Speaker 1 (01:48:58):
It'll catch up to him at some point.

Speaker 3 (01:49:00):
And it's ultimately like, how old is this kid? How
old is he? What was his name? Jack?

Speaker 4 (01:49:06):
I think?

Speaker 3 (01:49:07):
How old is this kid? Probably? I mean he's a
young man, eighteen, and I really don't know the things
you do when you're young, right, I look back at
I'm bro I would have Jacket were having this conversation, Uh, Jacket,
are having this conversation when we landed in Michigan.

Speaker 2 (01:49:22):
Was you always think back, like, man, if I could
go back to high school football or college football with
my the mindset and the understanding I have now, Like, man,
that'd be so fucking sick. And then you reflect on
some of the dumb shit you didn't you're like, man,
if I just didn't do those things. The problem is
with these streamers who have their entire life on tape,
is they're going to be thirty forty years old and
look back, have kids try to teach them a lesson

(01:49:44):
and then be like, but dad, you see this right here.

Speaker 3 (01:49:46):
That's a good point. But but you are right, it's
just part of life, right, being a dumb ass kid.
And we all were, no question. I don't want to
sit up here on this podcast, and it make no mistake. Man,
these guys all know that we were boneheads. But but
I think the point that I'm trying to make in
the point we should if you, if you're in a
position like this kid, is you are now obligated to
act a certain way. That's it. I don't care if

(01:50:08):
you're young, same you get an NFL, right, you gotta
flip it on. I don't care if your little last
kids still because these guys.

Speaker 2 (01:50:15):
Are, man, they're so hard. Just this one video we're
watching right now, him popping the champagne with the girls.

Speaker 3 (01:50:20):
If you're eighteen, nineteen years old, how do you not
think this kid will listen to this? He's gonna fucking
die laughing.

Speaker 2 (01:50:26):
Yeah, retarded, these old freaking guys.

Speaker 1 (01:50:31):
Sunday look back. Yeah, I mean it catches up to everybody. Yeah,
you can just tell this kid's never been in an
Oklahoma drill.

Speaker 3 (01:50:37):
Hey you know what I mean? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:50:39):
Yeah, Like you can just tell some of these kids who.

Speaker 2 (01:50:41):
Were truly part of going up is you got to
get your ass beat a few times? Oh my, you
gotta get you what's the worst ass beat you've ever taken?

Speaker 4 (01:50:49):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (01:50:49):
God? Fighting school is young bro?

Speaker 4 (01:50:52):
Man?

Speaker 3 (01:50:52):
No, no fur year old?

Speaker 2 (01:50:55):
Oh you got beat up by a fourteen year old
last month?

Speaker 3 (01:50:58):
What happened? Man? I was nineteen. I was boxing and
I went to Cooper's gym in Detroit, really bad part
of Detroit, actually too man. And I'm a white boy
from Deerborn, and Deerborn's kind of like rich, he's got money,
you know what I mean. And I pulled up I Toll,
the guy who just wanted to do boxing lessons. He's like,
all right, Well I started getting like decent, you know,
like I'm having some good some good training sessions. Whatever

(01:51:20):
I'm feeling myself, I start taking a couple of boxing fights,
amateur fights. They're really easy. Three rounds, two minute rounds.
You were a big fat headgear you barely even heal.
You're a little nervous at first. As soon as you
pop mouth at all. Just now you're flowing. Well. I
was doing pretty good. So I went over to Kronk Gym,
which is a famous gym on the same street as
Cooper's gym, and I went with my trainer, who primarily

(01:51:41):
spars there. He takes me the moment I walk into
a bunch of black dudes, they stopped me to let
all the other black guys go, and they make me
pay him twenty bucks come to the gym, So right
then I know it's fucking choked. I probably shouldn't fun,
but here's the twenty you know, pay him. I go
in and I put my hand wraps on and put
my shit on, and I went my trainer, Blue Blue
was a veessional boxer, great trainer. Name it blue Man

(01:52:03):
DeAndre Leandre is something. I forget his fucking name, but
he was a pro boxer out of crunk. Him and
three black dudes getting ready to spar in the big
fucking ring. So I'm thinking, I'm here to because I'm
getting good now. That's why they brought me. You know,
I'm fucking good now. So I'm doing my hand raps
and shit, and uh, long story short, they're like, yeah,
you're not sparking with us, man, you're sparking with them.

(01:52:24):
And they point over to like what would be like
a fucking kid corner and there's like little kids, and
there's this kid there who's like thirteen fourteen, and I thought,
I mean, I thought, I'm like, no way, a blue
blue come on. He's the little beast kid. And he goes, look,
you do good over there, and you can come over here.
I go. If I do good over there, I'm like,
all right, man, fuck you know, so I get so

(01:52:46):
so the bell goes on. Man I got, I got,
I got two hundred dollars gloves, I got my fucking
my boxing shoes, I got my fucking nice Grant headgear
and shit, man, all my mouth piece in this kid
had Haines socks. The white was gray. It was the
white and the gray, but it was all gray. They
were dirty as hell. The toe was coming through the
thing on the front and he had a head gear

(01:53:08):
that couldn't click with gloves no.

Speaker 1 (01:53:10):
Hand wraps, and You're thinking they put me with this kid.

Speaker 3 (01:53:13):
I'm a fuck this little mofucker up, you know what
I mean. So we started smarring. Shit, you know, this
kid hits me with a couple of jabs off the rib.
But dude, and I'm like, what the fuck I lock
in forget Holy shit, I'm trying and I'm thinking in
my head like what the fuck is going on? Man?
I'm trying and he's hit me, and uh, I remember
there was a point where I was up against the
wall because we weren't in the rings in the kid corner.

(01:53:34):
I'm up against the wall and he was hitting me.
And when he was hitting me, he was going, he
was going.

Speaker 2 (01:53:42):
Like like.

Speaker 3 (01:53:46):
He fucking hated me. Bro, I didn't even know he
fucking hates me. And I mean he's hit me, my rip.
He is beating his ship out of it. I slide
down the fucking wall like in real pain, and Blue
comes over and he goes, how you doing, man, And
I'm like dying And that was a real eye out
he moment for me. I'm like, remember I called you.
I'm like, yeah, I think I've known when the boxing thing, man,

(01:54:06):
he retired, you he retired. This kid went out to
be a gold Glove champion like four or five times
out of Detroit, and then he went to go fucking
He went uh Floyd's team in loss of Hagens. I
forgot this fucking kid's name. He was alright for a
little bit, but he dude, they pump him out over there. Man,
Really part of boxing is being hungry.

Speaker 5 (01:54:24):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:54:25):
That kid had a different hunger in him than me.
Shots at the body I got.

Speaker 2 (01:54:31):
I was nineteen, got fucked up by a fourteen year
old God the humbling experience, humbling.

Speaker 3 (01:54:37):
Hey man, I'm a lot of things. Man. By keeping
a pancake with you always, I could be a douchebag.

Speaker 6 (01:54:42):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:54:42):
I'm gonna keep real though. That was the worst. That
was the most degrading beatdown, the worst beatdown I've ever
had with my childhood buddy. When he picked that fight
with the two kids in high school, they beat the
ship out of us bad. Yeah, they they he my
my bigger buddy started. He was like you, he was
really big and I was really small. And he started
to fight with some kids that were older and I
had to fight because he's fighting, right. Yeah. Hey, he

(01:55:04):
started to lose, so I already knew I was losing,
so I skaved my best shot. Dude. They beat the
funk out of us. Hey, that's a huge move though,
and broke my horror bike. That spent four hundred dollars
cash on my silver horror bike. Oh my god. I
had pegs on the front end for your boy.

Speaker 1 (01:55:21):
You knowing you're about to take with the pegs. Yeah, yeah,
two pegs on it in the.

Speaker 2 (01:55:27):
Front and it really makes you a better human being
getting your ass need it, got to have it.

Speaker 3 (01:55:32):
You can't got stupid ship and not pay for it,
you know, Yeah, no fucking doubt. Speaking of pain, remember
when you remember when you got in the fight after
the game. I wasn't gonna bring this up, but you
brought fighting. Remember when that guy fucking popped you. Dude,
I thought you were going to kill.

Speaker 2 (01:55:44):
It during the game.

Speaker 3 (01:55:45):
You have a Michigan state, No, bro, you were to
t you want a team, right, popped them Josh Norman.

Speaker 1 (01:55:53):
So I popped him like, swung on him, like swung
on them.

Speaker 3 (01:55:56):
Yeah, bro, you get the arrow, that's right the era
And then he swung on you.

Speaker 2 (01:55:59):
Yeah, he tapped me in the back of the helmet.

Speaker 3 (01:56:02):
That was you looked at I thought you were going
to eat him.

Speaker 2 (01:56:05):
This this is the This is the funniest clip because
it's brought to me.

Speaker 3 (01:56:08):
Everywhere I go.

Speaker 4 (01:56:09):
I and he.

Speaker 3 (01:56:14):
Be your greatest This is probably clip yours.

Speaker 2 (01:56:22):
Yeah, that little pat the helmet, that one got me.

Speaker 3 (01:56:24):
I was watching around You're about to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:56:27):
Yeah, But the good thing is Ben was there because
I I don't know how to like stop once I
get kind of fire. We had a situation this weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:56:38):
Who does that in UFC padan you were well, that
was that was Josh's that was his move.

Speaker 5 (01:56:43):
The so nick I mean Josh Norman was also the
guy that Derek Henry stiff armed the life out of him,
and there was that viral photo of him like getting
flipped backwards a different team.

Speaker 2 (01:56:55):
Yeah, I remember that fourth and third and one or
second and four. Yeah, little little there, you got to
get the first on that buddy.

Speaker 3 (01:57:07):
The first.

Speaker 1 (01:57:09):
You see you see me come alive at the end
of this clip.

Speaker 3 (01:57:19):
That game was nuts.

Speaker 2 (01:57:22):
Yeah, Josh never had a good time with us. The
reason why I've told this a bunch of times. But
the reason why I went over to Josh at the
end of the game was because he was trying to
hurt Derek in a four minutes drill, you and that.

Speaker 1 (01:57:31):
Put it down.

Speaker 3 (01:57:32):
Just put it down with the boys.

Speaker 1 (01:57:33):
Hell yeah you can have.

Speaker 2 (01:57:34):
He says that you got to take that with you
when you leave.

Speaker 3 (01:57:36):
Yeah, right it.

Speaker 2 (01:57:38):
But getting your ass beat on a situation in middle school,
there was this kid I can't remember his name, but
I ended up like hitting him, knocking him out, and uh,
he's no, that was a different one and this kid,
so the kid goes to the teachers. He goes to
the teachers and he's and they were like, hey, what
happened blah blah. Was like, oh, nothing, a book fell
and hit me. Like he didn't snitch. So nothing really

(01:58:00):
came of it. I just went to class and then
in fitness class that we had this big loop is
desertating in middle school, we had this big loop you'd
go around like to warm up before like gym class,
but on like one part of the loop, there was
these bathrooms. You'd run around the loop. So this kid
was in the same class as me. I started on
the loop. He's behind me and I'm aware of him
back there because this happened like the day before. Turn

(01:58:22):
around that bathroom corner. Joey Latrell and three of his
friends were waiting for me and I kind of stopped
and they're like.

Speaker 3 (01:58:28):
Are you ready?

Speaker 4 (01:58:29):
And I was like, oh what?

Speaker 2 (01:58:30):
And then one of them grabbed me put my arms
behind him, and this kid came and just beat the
fuck out of me for a minute and not like
an actual minute, but like.

Speaker 3 (01:58:38):
It felt hurt.

Speaker 2 (01:58:39):
Yeah. It was one of those where he was like
throwing a couple of shots in my stomach and I
was like, I'm kind of eating like a piece of
He was like, don't feel pain, and then he hit
me in the jaw and I was like, oh my god,
holy shit, like these are so fucking bad.

Speaker 3 (01:58:52):
Please God make the stomach like they like let me
go or whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:58:56):
And yeah, that was probably the worst I ever got
my ass beating in my life.

Speaker 3 (01:59:00):
That was tough.

Speaker 4 (01:59:01):
Question.

Speaker 3 (01:59:01):
Are you gonna be the guy the guy that says
you never got your ass beat? I really haven't.

Speaker 1 (01:59:06):
Yeah, I've been in a lot of fights. You can
tell you I'm not an asshole.

Speaker 3 (01:59:10):
Yeah, you're not, no guy.

Speaker 2 (01:59:12):
I'm surprised, bro, because when you get tired, you can
be grumpy.

Speaker 1 (01:59:17):
Not like that. Cody gotten a couple. I mean, yeah,
you never like you guys know, you just don't want
to fuck with the wrestlers. Bro, I just cycled. Yeah, yeah,
I think all.

Speaker 3 (01:59:30):
The sports and they have the highest uh excess and buds.

Speaker 2 (01:59:34):
I'm pretty sure there's no question. I'm pretty sure. You
go to a wrestling house like a Michigan. You go
to the wrestling house, no girls, all dudes, Bandana's on
top of the head, no shirts, playing pong for about
an hour and then everybody's in the lawn grappling going.
He's a little one hundred and forty pound catch like, hey,
you want to go? And I'm like, I guess.

Speaker 4 (01:59:52):
Also Pretzel the worst?

Speaker 1 (01:59:57):
Oh yeah, polar Bear. He was out there last year, Bro,
I mean doing both sports is insane. Who's this the
polar Bear?

Speaker 2 (02:00:06):
Who's the polar Bear?

Speaker 1 (02:00:08):
We interview him on the Spring Tour number zero? Oh
you got you got you too?

Speaker 2 (02:00:15):
I had a couple of this podcast huge safe.

Speaker 1 (02:00:19):
Yeah, but he he got done with football last year
and went right into wrestling.

Speaker 3 (02:00:23):
Was he wrestled? How long is this pot? How long
is this possible thing? It was just like twenty.

Speaker 1 (02:00:27):
Twenty eighteen, Yeah, twenty eighteen.

Speaker 2 (02:00:30):
Was it twenty eighteen? We started twenty nineteen, twenty eighteen
when we met, that's right, Yeah, so twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen, yeah, yes.

Speaker 1 (02:00:38):
The summer of twenty nineteen.

Speaker 3 (02:00:40):
How'd you guys decide to do this? Is this conversation
and the boom?

Speaker 1 (02:00:43):
Yeah, I mean this is yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:00:44):
I mean the way it kind of started was we
did a podcast together, the Official Titans Podcast, and we
kind of had some we had some nice litt chemistry.

Speaker 3 (02:00:52):
Yeah, yea, yeah, yeah yeah. Fire Will brought it to
Will really wanted.

Speaker 2 (02:00:56):
To do it, and I was I was kind of like,
it's kind of lame.

Speaker 1 (02:00:58):
Yet iways wanted to a pod Like back in Washington days,
I just thought to be sick because I was listening
to like Rogan and all those positive that went on,
and I just always thought to be sick because there
wasn't really any any pause, like JJ Reddick did it
with basketball, McAfee retires to do it with barstool. But
I just always thought it'd be cool, like all the
conversations that happened in the song and the cold tub
and everything else.

Speaker 3 (02:01:18):
Sure, yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (02:01:20):
Uh, fortunately talked Taylor into doing it.

Speaker 3 (02:01:22):
Yeah, and then twenty nineteen, you guys kick off and
then Barstool brings you in.

Speaker 1 (02:01:27):
Yeah, that happened. I was pretty signed with them in
February of twenty twenty. Yeah, we had varible comes on
and talks about cutting his dick off for a Super
Bowl that went viral w Jalen Ramsey talking about how
he would DM wide Receivers, their girl, their girls in college. Oh,
getting their head that the Jalen Ramsey one popped off
for us. Barstool DMed us in like July or August

(02:01:49):
and then flew out to sit and have a conversation
with us on one of his off days in training camp,
and then they wanted to stay in touch. We went
about our seasons that year. That's when I went out
to Oakland and then when we went out to the
Super Bowl in Miami in February twenty twenty, like, that's
when we locked everything up and signed a partnership with them.
Crazy or it was like two or three years at
the times, and then extended with them, what a year

(02:02:11):
or a couple of years.

Speaker 3 (02:02:12):
Two it'll be two years and yeah, two years Barstool's
great man.

Speaker 1 (02:02:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:02:16):
I mean they have a great group of guys. I've
been on PMT before. They're so they're so easy to
talk to.

Speaker 1 (02:02:21):
They're like ww of media, all the different personalities, Like
they got all the shows they are.

Speaker 3 (02:02:28):
They're pumping, They're fucking pumping. They really Now.

Speaker 1 (02:02:30):
They got their h Q in Chicago, which is just
like a fantasy factory.

Speaker 3 (02:02:33):
You've been out there New York Chicago. Yeah, that Jerry.

Speaker 1 (02:02:38):
I've seen you go back and forme with Jerry Jersey. Jerry.

Speaker 3 (02:02:40):
Yeah, we played some games together. Jerr's guy Fine tells
me that he used to be a crackhead. We were
like loading, remember that, we were loading into Call of Duty,
and he was just like, hey, hey, Nick, I used
to be a crackhead. You know. I was like, I like,
look at the camera. I was like what, you know.
I couldn't fucking believe it. It was the most nonchalant way
to tell me that ever. He's thought he was kidding,

(02:03:02):
but there's really something to joke around about Jerry, and
he stuck it though.

Speaker 1 (02:03:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:03:06):
I like Jerry.

Speaker 1 (02:03:09):
The bully.

Speaker 2 (02:03:09):
Yeah, Jerry is a lot of funny guys.

Speaker 3 (02:03:12):
And then they have that there's another homie two man.
We follow each other. Caleb guy. Yeah, conversation, they got
to use it. A good team, man, it's a good roster.

Speaker 1 (02:03:23):
Yeah, a lot of good guys.

Speaker 3 (02:03:24):
I'm trying to think of somebody I don't like enjoy,
you know, I'm sure there's something.

Speaker 2 (02:03:30):
If everything you deep enough, you'd find one.

Speaker 3 (02:03:33):
There's so many, right, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:03:35):
There's a lot offer personality of somebody that going to
the radar too.

Speaker 3 (02:03:37):
There's Frank.

Speaker 1 (02:03:38):
There's Frank the Tank.

Speaker 3 (02:03:39):
Yeah, I've definitely seen him on there. Yeah. I hate
baseball and him would never get along. They don't think baseball.
You played though as a kid. Yeah, of course everybody.

Speaker 2 (02:03:46):
That's like the number one American thing to do is
you got to play it one year at t ball.
That's like a bar mitzvah.

Speaker 3 (02:03:51):
For an America. Have to have to got to play
a year. That's it. That's all you gotta do.

Speaker 2 (02:03:57):
Let's twist the question. How long has this podcast been going?
Oh yeah, we could probably twist the.

Speaker 3 (02:04:02):
Question whatever y'all want to do. Many I'm sorry about
being late.

Speaker 4 (02:04:06):
Man. You good two v two one million dollar tournament
prizes on the line. Who is your partner and what
game are you picking?

Speaker 5 (02:04:14):
Mmm?

Speaker 3 (02:04:16):
I like that little one, Mili. That's a million bro.
All right, I gotta go Gears War. No, I gotta
go Gears of War. Man, that's where it all be
going for me. That's got that's cardboard checks, that's fucking
I was a tyrant on that game, Gears of War.
I go Gears of War two, and I'm going to

(02:04:36):
bring back my teammate, Predator, me and him. Predator is
the one, not the one the far right, but the
next one in with the weird little faux hawk. Things
got going on there. I don't know what he was thinking. Still,
I fucking hope not. But I'll go me and pred
two v. Two Gears of War two, and we're cashing

(02:04:56):
that fucking thing out easy money. If if there was
a line on that were the favorites by far, you're
the heavy favorite. We used to do that. That's what
we did. Yeah. Oh god, yeah, it's like riding a bike.

Speaker 1 (02:05:07):
It wouldn't be hard to get back.

Speaker 3 (02:05:08):
No, no, well, you know, give me a couple of days,
a couple of hours walk through the boys real quick.
Sure is great, man. We've done like three partnerships with them. Yeah,
they're all time they've sponsored like a couple of our
gauntlets and stuff. They're fucking awesome. Let's you rip it too. Really,
they don't care. I love that they don't care, because
when companies care too much, it like it just stricts

(02:05:29):
the creativity.

Speaker 1 (02:05:30):
You can't say, and then you're not you're not actually
motivated to even it's the worst, wanting to continue to.

Speaker 3 (02:05:35):
They're not them. They let you just go.

Speaker 1 (02:05:37):
Here's here's a bonus question. Your friend gets knocked in
a two v two situation. Do you revive him or
push the enemy duo?

Speaker 3 (02:05:48):
How weak are they are?

Speaker 4 (02:05:49):
They weak?

Speaker 1 (02:05:49):
I don't know. Let's say Predator goes down.

Speaker 3 (02:05:51):
Yeah, Predator goes down to Well, if pred goes down
and we have a guy down as well and it's
just him versus me, I'm taking my one. Okay, I'm
not reviving. Ever, what if it's two, I'm gonna try
to do a lot of damage and get the reds
off quick if I can, like fucking hammer one and
then stick the reds real quick and then let me
get it sweet. If not two, be one, man, let's go.

(02:06:12):
I've done it before.

Speaker 2 (02:06:13):
I have a senior eyeslight up to you. The passion
that we were.

Speaker 3 (02:06:19):
I was at an MLG tournament. I was in the
championship twenty K was on the line. ME and three
of those guys that were in that picture, the two
on the right right here and the one on the
far left. We were playing for twenty K. It was
against my buddy as well, who we play against all
the fucking time, and he was really good. It was
me versus two of them on this pillar. And in
Gears of War, you know your three p so you
don't see the game from your gun, you see your

(02:06:40):
whole character, so you can take the camera and you
can see around things. And I'm on a big pillar
and they're both in front of me. It's me versus them, dude.
I worked that pillar like a stripper bro I was
on the left, on the right. I had him both weak.
I had him stuttering. They didn't know what the fucking
say or do, and I just shit on both of
them to keep us in it. And then we we

(02:07:01):
eventually came back and we won, and then we got
the whole tournament. And if I lost that to V won,
we would have been done. No ship, I remember, I
remember because we were fucking down big. I remember that
when I when I killed both of them, everybody turned
and they hooked at me all shit, good ship because
you know, we with the Gears Awards kind of like

(02:07:22):
S and D. So there's like a you know you
you went around, there's a big break. So we got
to win on the round. Everybody went crazy. I'm high
five of them, Ship. They all they look you see
look in their eyes. Everybody believed. It was like it
was like you're playing against a good football team and
they got the best player and your boy lit him
the fuck up helmet comes off. Yeah, well we can

(02:07:42):
fuck these guys up. Man, Right, That's what it was. Man,
That's what's gonna happen. Miche state. No one's gonna believe
we're not that hit. I hope, So, I hope you need.

Speaker 2 (02:07:53):
To turn your fan card the way you've been talking.

Speaker 3 (02:07:55):
I just I'm a sports gambler, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:07:57):
I you know I'm gonna be.

Speaker 3 (02:07:59):
Still be careful betting on the boys as a sports gamble.

Speaker 2 (02:08:01):
You should, you shul plushuldn't been the team you like?

Speaker 3 (02:08:04):
Yeah, I thought we were gonna keep it close. We
got fucking railed at home.

Speaker 2 (02:08:07):
It was hard tough day for the Monday in Stride.
Totally different game, way, totally different game.

Speaker 1 (02:08:16):
Did you go money line? Did you go money line
with Michigan Texas? Of course that is one that you go.
You believe in your squad, that's a that's.

Speaker 3 (02:08:22):
A money line. Yeah, it got rail.

Speaker 1 (02:08:25):
It would have been so over in like the second
it was.

Speaker 2 (02:08:29):
The Michigan money line is going to be so huge
against the Hollow State. God, We're gonna make so much
money on that day.

Speaker 3 (02:08:35):
I'm definitely hammering it.

Speaker 4 (02:08:37):
Are you going to Vegas?

Speaker 2 (02:08:38):
No?

Speaker 3 (02:08:38):
I don't think sphere you're gonna go? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:08:41):
Oh yeah, No. Your boys getting honored this week this
weekend high school?

Speaker 3 (02:08:45):
Are you really congrats? Man? Congress?

Speaker 1 (02:08:49):
Wave wave around, hold the room, wave around. Yeah, I'm
already in the Hall of Fame, just getting a little.
I think there's a sign, you know, first first ballot,
fish round right when they opened it up. But I
like sign put up. You know something I don't want
Compton Stadium. I don't want to say too much about it,

(02:09:09):
you guys know, I hate bragging.

Speaker 3 (02:09:10):
Yeah this you you're having a month, bro.

Speaker 1 (02:09:13):
I am having you see that museum that will Compton
Museum just opened last week.

Speaker 3 (02:09:18):
I bet that I did see the music. It was
a great tour.

Speaker 1 (02:09:21):
And last Thursday. Yeah, yeah, a lot of a lot
of memorabilia. The backstall in the bathroom is the will
Compton Museum at Barcel h Q in Chicago.

Speaker 3 (02:09:30):
You gotta watch your pictures of him the toilet.

Speaker 1 (02:09:33):
Yeah, we'll be adding to it.

Speaker 3 (02:09:35):
Will Comften shirts.

Speaker 1 (02:09:36):
Hell yeah that is forever. But yeah, big month, big month.
Birthdays this month, Oh.

Speaker 3 (02:09:42):
My god, I know what the fuck? Was? A great month?
Is a great month? I did, I did want I
did one of those. My ship was spinning, remember that, Lucy.
I put one up top and then I put another
one down low at the UFC. My ship was spinning.
Remember that.

Speaker 1 (02:10:02):
Good time? It's a good time.

Speaker 2 (02:10:04):
Yeah to your talk, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:10:06):
Vintage gaming consoles. I love to pick this week.

Speaker 2 (02:10:08):
Sure, I've already got mine.

Speaker 1 (02:10:11):
Do we have a sponsor on tier Talk?

Speaker 3 (02:10:12):
Are we good?

Speaker 1 (02:10:14):
Are you familiar with tiar talk? No? Tier one, two, three?
If you got an honorable mention, go ahead and sling
that in there. Okay, but you'll start a tier three,
work your way up to one, but ultimately it's your
top three.

Speaker 2 (02:10:24):
And also, don't just name it like paint us a picture.

Speaker 1 (02:10:26):
Why is Tier three Tier three vintage gaming consoles?

Speaker 3 (02:10:32):
You gotta start no way.

Speaker 1 (02:10:33):
Okay, I kind of don't know yet.

Speaker 2 (02:10:35):
Obviously we've already proven that I'm not a massive gamer. However,
as a child, I enjoyed plugging it in, sitting on
my ground, criss cross apple sauce and playing some games.
So this is what I'm gonna dive into the nostalgia category.
My Tier three is going to go to the og. Xbox. Now,
there's a lot of people like to but mounce back
and forth between Xbox and PlayStation. For whatever reason, because

(02:10:56):
of Halo, Xbox was my game. I just I really
enjoy what it was like. It was a mind that
experience to have Xbox there, you get the green and
the little thing pops up the x about really do
it put in your little time you're ready to go?

Speaker 3 (02:11:12):
And then do you remember Xbox Connect? It was like
the first Xbox Live before.

Speaker 2 (02:11:16):
Live they had the bar, right, no, okay, then no,
I don't that was all tell me that doesn't make
you get fired up.

Speaker 3 (02:11:23):
That was also Connect though he's right, okay, maybe that's
a game. Okay, but Connect with a c It was
Xbox Live before Xbox live. That's how you know your crackhead.
If you know what that is, you were, you were crackhead. Sorry.

Speaker 2 (02:11:35):
So that's my Tier three Xbox. My Tier two is
game Boy Color.

Speaker 3 (02:11:41):
I think the game Boy. Is that a console?

Speaker 2 (02:11:45):
Yeah it is, it's a pocket console. Okay, absolutely, double
a batteries and changes. The game had the purple Sea through.
You can see all the things, Pokemon, weird little lights,
you can see it, Pokemon.

Speaker 3 (02:11:57):
Yellow link all that, Bro. That game.

Speaker 2 (02:12:00):
You catch a little break in elementary school, you'd be
able to pull that thing out of your pocket, pop
it on real quick. Get that wire that was way
too short, Yeah, public school.

Speaker 1 (02:12:08):
That's the light.

Speaker 2 (02:12:08):
The light, yeah, the little light at night time. But
there was also a little cord that was probably five inches.
That's way more than five inches, like seven to eight
inches long, and you'd be able to plug it in.
Turn that cadabran into an alex exam because you can
evolve through trades.

Speaker 3 (02:12:23):
Bro, you get that.

Speaker 2 (02:12:24):
Thing done in the sand in the playground at elementary school,
you're showing all the boys to pull to sec what
you got. And then my Tier one is going to go,
this is my god tier and I've already mentioned it once.
That's gonna go to the Nintendo sixty four maybe the greatest.
Like we've all been in a place where the game's
not working. You have to pull it out and give
it the yeah, put it back in. Then it gets

(02:12:45):
a little bit older, so you have to go back
into the left. You have the JFK that thing the
way you have to move it just to get the
thing to turn on. Super Smash Brother Golden ID sixty
four though, huh yeah, I like those little things.

Speaker 3 (02:12:58):
Yeah, they were great. They were weird dude, right, you
have to take that left out one. Mario sixty four.
It was just what was the greatest Ends sixty four game?
You think the best one for Super Smash, But if
you're playing Super Smash, great pick to.

Speaker 2 (02:13:16):
Star Fox dude was also incredible.

Speaker 3 (02:13:18):
Fox. Remember you could fight your boys in the fucking plane.
Remember Club Brett farv Nfelt Blitz remember that one, but
it's two thousands.

Speaker 2 (02:13:27):
Blitz was people love, Yes, and the game always had
a way of like just equaling things out.

Speaker 3 (02:13:34):
I feel like way better.

Speaker 2 (02:13:35):
All of a sudden you'd have fumbles, interceptions, It should
just throw your way, just kept every zeld. I never
got into I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (02:13:42):
It's one of those games where if you gave it
some patience, it's fucking incredible, really beautiful game. You go
back and play it now, so it's still it's still
kind of fun. My wife played this game, you know
about it?

Speaker 2 (02:13:52):
The one you like have a little community of.

Speaker 1 (02:13:53):
A garden and oh yeah, Harvest Moon Harvest, playing Starry
Valley game.

Speaker 3 (02:14:00):
Make a little farm.

Speaker 2 (02:14:01):
Oh yeah, run dude, you hit do hit a spin.

Speaker 3 (02:14:11):
Yeah, that's a great list, and sixty four is definitely yeah,
it's hard to beat. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:14:16):
Oh so for Tier talk, now, we'll go around the
room and we'll do one word to describe how we
feel about the individual who just wants to tear talk.

Speaker 3 (02:14:22):
Okay, amazing, thank you, incredible, and I'm blown away that
you knew all that. Thank you, Barrol, Barreroll, nostalgic.

Speaker 1 (02:14:34):
Research solid. Oh yeah, I have no idea what you're
talking about.

Speaker 2 (02:14:45):
All right, what's what do you all want to go?

Speaker 1 (02:14:47):
I'll go kick it off, man. Game Boy really changed
the game for me. Game Boy is gonna be my
honorable mention. My Tier three is going to go to
my first love of video game, and that is the
Sega Genesis. I got Madden. It was either Mad ninety
five or Mad ninety six. That was the first console
I got for Christmas that my eyes just lit up

(02:15:10):
and I fell in love with video games. They would
have this combine that you could do where you're tapping
B and C. It's like this boxing where you're trying
to take out Evander Holyfield Mike Tyson, where you're battling him.
What was that? What was that one where you're trying
to your back's.

Speaker 3 (02:15:23):
I remember the boxing game? It was incredible.

Speaker 1 (02:15:26):
There they are a cross from in your little back
and you're kind of just dodging the whole time. It
might have been like Mike Tyson or something like.

Speaker 3 (02:15:32):
I don't know, but it was incredible. I remember Ali Tyson,
holy Field.

Speaker 1 (02:15:35):
Yeah, yeah, what was this Madden calls that ninety five
Madden ninety six. But that is when I felt love
fell in love with video games. My Tier two is
going to go to the PlayStation two. When you could
you know, that's when you had memory cards. I know
you had it on Xbox. I was never an original
Xbox I was a PlayStation two cat. I'm thinking to myself.

(02:15:58):
Game Day ninety seven, Game Day nine eight. Every year
on my birthday, I would get to skip school, go
to work with my dad. He'd take a half day.
Then we'd go to Toys r Us. I'd get the
latest edition of Game Day. We'd go home, and then
for the rest of time we would just play a
season with the Dallas Cowboys with each other. And then
also like PlayStation two is I was nice on WWE,

(02:16:21):
I was nice on. That's when n C Double A
I want to say it was like two thousand and four,
when the lights would start to shine off the helmet
and you just remembered the evolution of the video game
industry would start to take places, starting to get they
were starting to evolve. Yeah, yeah, n C Double A two,
Who's that Carson Palmer? And then also Grand Theft Auto

(02:16:44):
came out as an extricution, Yes, man Crash what.

Speaker 3 (02:16:49):
Was it like?

Speaker 1 (02:16:50):
Not Supercross, but it was like where they had them
both together Mix versus ATV versus eighteen Unleash, like just
phenomenal video games are in that generation. And my Tier
one I Air with Taylor the Ends the end sixty
four Harvest Moon, I lived and died by uh Pokemon
where you could plug that you could plug. You could
slide in the game. They had like a little Pokemon stadium.

(02:17:11):
Wait they take the picture Pokemon Stadium, that's Pokemon. But
you could also play in Pokemont Stadium. You could connect.
There's like something with memory on the car. You could
slide in your game boy. You were Pokemon Boy game
and you could face people with the squad you had
on the game boys. Pokemon Guy, Yeah, big Pokemon Guy,
massive cars won. I won a badge, what was the

(02:17:31):
very first one with it with brock and Onyx Pewter
Pewter City Badge, Boulder Badge. I won a Boulder badge
at a flea market back in the early days. Your
boy was nice.

Speaker 3 (02:17:41):
Were a Pokemon Guy crack.

Speaker 1 (02:17:43):
And then Double O seven my favorite. Oh it's great
Double seven. Double seven was like my favorite game of
this week this week. Talking about where you plug it
in Pokemon stadium.

Speaker 3 (02:17:51):
Yeah, you could. You could fight other Pokemon that little
sixty four transfer pack.

Speaker 1 (02:17:55):
Whatever you had on the game boy, like when he
said yellow, red, blue, whatever, you slide that in, you
get the roster you got.

Speaker 3 (02:18:01):
On your game boy.

Speaker 1 (02:18:02):
Play Pokemon Stadium.

Speaker 3 (02:18:06):
You never that. Yeah, you could upload your Pokemon bro Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:18:09):
I remember is the Pokemon picture one.

Speaker 3 (02:18:11):
I thought that was kind of I thought it was
kind of like the Pokemon snap.

Speaker 1 (02:18:13):
Yeah photo you go around slow and try to take
you know, the rare pictures, right, my mom.

Speaker 2 (02:18:18):
That I went through a little game like but that
I a little phase like a year ago where they
had these like little apps where people would be streaming
like opening games, opening Pokemon cards, and I bought a
few of them things, got myself some charge arts.

Speaker 3 (02:18:33):
Dude, I had. We sold it for three hundred bucks.

Speaker 2 (02:18:36):
Oh my god, I BET's were so much better card.

Speaker 1 (02:18:42):
Oh yeah, I hated the poke he probably called them
pokey man.

Speaker 2 (02:18:46):
Yeah yeah, Pokemon yeah, Pokemon snap.

Speaker 3 (02:18:53):
I never got on board my tear talk. Okay, okay, okay,
Tier three for me. I agree with words words for
one word. Sorry, okay, I'll start. I guess are you start?
Suit surprising man like you. I can't believe the Pokemon sorry.

Speaker 2 (02:19:15):
Pokemon mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (02:19:18):
Jolty on Oh wow, sports solid interesting. I didn't like it. Yeah,
you said it right too, All RIGHTO old school hyphenated
there you go. Also, you guys use hyphenated to get
around the one word. Yeah, make sure I do that

(02:19:39):
next time. Uh. Tier three probably the game Boy. You
guys bring up great points. I mean that was what
first got everybody into it. I used to get in
so much trouble playing that ship. You'd see the light
on from the crack of the door. He bust open
that door, and but what are you doing?

Speaker 2 (02:19:54):
Man?

Speaker 3 (02:19:55):
I had that little light on there, and I tried
to cover it with it with with the thing real quick,
you know, and never got away with it. Yeah, that
game Boy, but the see through game Boy, specifically the
one where I can see all the way that was
put together, the wires and the I just used to
love looking in that thing. Man. Yeah, it was cracked. Yeah, sorry.
And then tier tier two I'll probably go with I'll

(02:20:19):
probably go with the original Xbox because that's what got
me into competitive gaming, and that was when people would
download Xbox Connect on the PC was a program on
your PC, and then you could play people in Halo,
the first Halo around the World, and me and my
buddy would load up on two B two Halo one
and we beat Nash So I got real twisted at that.
And then that's Tier two. But Tier one the greatest

(02:20:43):
console of all time. I don't think it's debatable. It's
the three to sixty. You got Gears of War, Call
of Duty in Halo all on that console and arguably
all the best games from each from each one. Not
only that, but they had the best controller of any
of any controller in the history of gaming. The three
sixty controller was next level. And that was when you

(02:21:06):
They came out with this thing. You can make your
own avatar, like a character of yourself, and you could
customize it. You had like a bio. I put like
my placings in that. Then you had like a list
where you could add people to the list. I'd make
people pay to ad me because I was so good,
so he went on my list. It would be a flex.
You have me on the list, so you pay me
one hundred bucks, I'll add you for the whole year.
I was doing that scummy weirdship.

Speaker 2 (02:21:28):
I was doing summy hey business man, business business.

Speaker 3 (02:21:32):
Yeah, that was the dashboard man, look at your little
guy man. It's crazy, but yeah. Gears of War one,
Gears of War two, Call of Duty for the modern
warfare and the modern warfares, and then Halo Massive Halo
three came out on that one, and that's Halo two
and Halo three, I mean two K arguably the best
Halos two k's as well, Grand Theft Auto, I mean,

(02:21:53):
you name it. It was on the three sixty, and it's
just it took gaming to a whole other level in
my opinion, and the next Xbo didn't do it for me.
You know, it was like a bad equel, like the
Exist one. Yeah, the three sixty was way better than
the next one.

Speaker 1 (02:22:08):
I don't. Yeah, I agree with you, okay with that
said my word horny.

Speaker 3 (02:22:13):
Yeah yeah, pro.

Speaker 1 (02:22:21):
Legendary, yeah, unreal the day in the.

Speaker 3 (02:22:24):
Words, it's the winner, cash cracked.

Speaker 4 (02:22:30):
And I agree, I finaded.

Speaker 1 (02:22:33):
You're right about You're right about the three sixty, like
the hours put in on the three sixties.

Speaker 3 (02:22:38):
I mean Red Dead one. That's where red no, no, no,
the first the first dead was Red Dead Revolver, right right, right.

Speaker 1 (02:22:47):
But that was on three sixty. It might have been
on Xbox too, but I'm saying Red Dead Redemption one
came out of the three sixties like that series. To
throw back to the r But you're right, like the
Xbox three sixty is the greatest console of all.

Speaker 3 (02:23:03):
Time and the controller underrated man like they started remember
the next one for the Xbox is fucking huge and weird.
But the three.

Speaker 1 (02:23:10):
Still even those PlayStation motherfuckers though about it being better.
I was a guy who transitioned from PlayStation to to
three sixty. It took a little time, but once I did,
I saw.

Speaker 3 (02:23:18):
The like I went from Xbox to PlayStation because competitive
call of duty did so we had to. We couldn't compete, right,
so kind of weird. I probably wouldn't stay at Xbox.
It just better, way better. Okay, Hey, this like the
tears Man.

Speaker 1 (02:23:34):
