Speaker 1 (04:01):
We'll talk about how inappropriate you were.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
And I know a bunch of other people were there,
so I was like, all right, everyone just fucking relaxed.
When he gets here. So fucking Bob walks in, Yeah
you're gonna do that's gonna give you the jitters. Yeah,
But anyway, Bob walks in and he literally goes starts
going through. Everybody's like, hey, Bob, nice to meet you,
Nice to meet you, Nice to meet you. And within
three minutes, Will goes all I'm thinking about is Joe dirtlines.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Like loud as fuck everybody.
Speaker 2 (04:28):

we get, we get Zach in there, and Zach's like
he like, remember, hey, we didn't tell Zach his real
name is Bob.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
We said, hey, we got a potential podcast guess that
we've been trying to get on, but we're not gonna
tell you who it is. And he got there and remembers.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Zach, Zach, Yeah, Zach's. Bob's like, hey, I's going. Bobby
goes kid rock, and Zach Will goes, God damn it,
Zach might be cool.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Be cool.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
There's a mic in front.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Of your face like I did.
Speaker 5 (05:05):
Like I was not expecting it and like I was
the star Stunn like that that's who it was because
I just thought it was whatever it's called. I just
thought it was gonna be like another football player and
like no, offense, but okay, okay, and I'm shaking all
your buddies hands and then I just get to this
guy wearing the trucker hat, Bob, see your T shirt
and cowboy boots and starts jeans, and I look up
(05:25):
and I'm like, it's kid Rock.
Speaker 4 (05:27):
It Will is like Zach.
Speaker 6 (05:30):
Damn it man cool, No, it is we I mean
it is like I just think in my mind, like
if if me personally found Bobby my mom.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Kid Rock, you know you're way too old to be
Bobby Now.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
I didn't even know his name was Bob.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
Yeah. Either, I'm like ready for him to be like, Yo,
what's up man, I'm kid Rock, Like, just just be
fucking kid.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
He's got He's got a line in one of his albums,
Devil with Out of College he's like talking about you
too old, a kid, too soft the rock, and I saw.
I'm like, yo, he's both those right now.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
But he's still he's a fucking badass till Yeah, dude,
kid rocks the fucking man.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
We're like thinking this stuff and what's up man, I'm Will, well,
what's up, man, Bobby? He's thinking your name is Bobby?
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Did he introduce himself? As Bobby to you, or Bob Bobby, Bobby,
Hello Robert. He introduced himself to me as Bob.
Speaker 4 (06:23):
But do you last name rock?
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Yo?
Speaker 1 (06:29):
What is his last name? He's already did I remember?
Speaker 2 (06:33):
I grew up on a ranch in Cave Creek, Arizona,
like like a thirteen acre like horse ranch. And I
remember like I won this like stereo out of a
raffle and the first the first.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
CD I had was Devil.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Without a Cause by Kid rock dude, and I pop
that thing in there and I beat my room just
so anti everything but kid everything, just like just I
will not succumb to the man type of a that
was such a skid.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
Dude in a nighttime you're searching the Pamela Anderson videos.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
No, I had never seen.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
I never even know. We didn't really have internet. We
had there was like a there's an office at the
front of the ranch. We had office the front of
the ranch, and there was one computer and it was
my mom's work computer.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
And we didn't have internet. We didn't have internet in
the in the house.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
So when I figured out this friend named Whalen and
I figured out what porn was, he showed me like
he was that friend. I had my first chew with him.
You know what I'm saying. All that shit did a
couple of other things whatever, and uh he was like
he was like a super bad influenced kid. And I
get to I figure out what porn is and I'm like,
I'm walking past the office one day and I'm like,
(07:38):
YEO is that a computer? And I'm in there, dude,
I swear to god, I was in there for four
days straight, twelve hours every all day, and my mom
would come in and be like, what do you do?
Just like hitting the minimize button as fast as possible,
like lower the volumes like nothing, mom, and relevant no.
Pop ups were everywhere, and the most disgusting pop up.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
I just didn't know, dude.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
It'd be like a girl on a snake all of
a sudden, like, Yo, what what? I'm just looking for
the regular stuff. Yeah, I just want to I'm twelve thirteen.
I want to see missionary, dude. I want to see missionary.
I want to see missionary. I want to see her
on bottom and me on top. I want to see
those kinds of things. But then a snakes get popped up, dud.
I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, the animal thing?
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Was that about? Long story short? Youde took four days
that computer dead, couldn't fuck My mom went up there
and like went to look at emails one day. Thing
wouldn't even fucking start. Dude. That thing put a gun
to its own.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Head and shot itself.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
It was so.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Done, Roman, you got any good ones in the what's
the first time you watched porn romany from Sweden?
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Yeah? I don't know, probably say mates to be honest.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
Yeah, same time.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
How old is that? How old are you saying?
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I was about twelve or thirteen years old?
Speaker 2 (08:52):
That sounds about dude. I remember did your parents give
you the talk about it? Like, did you talk about porn?
Speaker 4 (08:58):
No? Never say, And still.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
They never talked to you about it, dude.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
So my dad here's what happened with me. My dad
got like pissed off, and because you know, pop ups
were happening, and you know, you're like young, you don't
you don't think that they know, but they know. And
he's like, uh, well, let me talk the outside for
a minute.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
I have no idea like what he's about to say.
All right, hey dad, what's up? He's like, what is tits?
And ask Lord dot com.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
No, he did not say that word to God.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Immediately, I'm thinking of the buddy you were talking about.
I'm thinking of my friend. I'm like a son of
a bitch, Trim, Trim Montgomery. He was on the computer
earlier and I was I was telling them to get off.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Of it because I didn't, you know, Wyatt, I didn't
want to hold your boy out. Yeah, he was never
allowed to come out the house again.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
What a terrible that when fear is happening. Yes, he's
under the bus.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
He was like, he was like, he wasn't like that
good of a friend anyway, but anyway, throw him under
the bus. And he's like, if I ever catch you
on the porn side again, I will box your jaws.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
Your dad said that that was my talk.
Speaker 3 (10:03):
So me, I was just a kid that you know,
you stay at your buddies out like, hey man, you
got to send them macts you get HPO. No, No,
I did all the time.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
You guys got it. You look at his phone right now.
He is crazy.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Dude, dude, Oh man, I got so many getting caught
watching porn videos?
Speaker 4 (10:21):
You did?
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Would you always have it on the previous channel like
you have it on ESPN?
Speaker 1 (10:24):
And that that's the oldest trick in the book, the
oldest trick in the book.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
I remember that. Fuck it, dude, it's our podcast. I said,
I want the first time I like jerked off, Like, dude, dude,
but everyone, you guys all remember the first time you.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Guys jerked off?
Speaker 3 (10:38):
All right, Yeah, my left leg went shake.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Okay, don't even so, dude about thirteen Like so like,
by the way, the story I just told, like, didn't
jerk off once. I'm just staring at it, dude, like
literally twelve hours.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Of my day, I'm just watching porn. Like I'm not
even I'm like, yeah, it seems like something's going on
down there. But okayh like so sexually frustrated around like
punching other d It's whatever.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
So I figure out, dude. I'm on the bus. I
go to Desert Canyon in middle.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
School and I go on this bus.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
And these seventh these eighth graders, I'm in seventh grade,
these eighth graders are talking about jerking off, and I'm
like in my head, like I've literally googled, like how
do you make yourself do it? Because I think to myself,
I'm thinking at this age, I'm like, oh, it only
works if a guy and if a girl does it
for you, Like that's the only way it happens, because.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
That's how babies are making.
Speaker 5 (11:26):
Right.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
So I'm like lost, and I hear these kids about, yeah,
jerked off last night, Yeah get that, like they were
talking about all that stuff all the time. I'm like, yeah, yeah,
oh yeah, yeah, you're time this week like all that krads.
I'm like yo, and I'm i'ma sit like two rows
in from I'm like, Yo, my mind is blown dude.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
I'm like, my mind is blowing up. I'm like, holy shit,
you can do it yourself. You can do it yourself.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
So I rip over to the house as fast as
I can, dude. I get home, parents aren't home, and
I start to start to watch them porn. But I'm like, ah, dude,
I don't want to get caught, So I like wait
till my I wait. My mom like comes home fifteen
minutes and I was like, dude, you're on top of it.
You knew she was coming home. Yeah, So I'll wait
till she goes asleep. I'm in the living room. Do
we have one computer in the living room? In the
(12:10):
living room now and moved and I'm watching do you
remember LimeWire frost wire? Yeah, just like just like HIV
and AIDS for all computers everywhere, and I was downloading
some shit. I don't even know what I was looking at, dude,
but I'm kind of like just like just tugging at it.
I'm not really doing nothing. I don't really know what's
going on, dude. And all of a sudden, like I'm
(12:30):
sitting there and I'm like watching it all right, cook
in my leg starts like going like shaking like this.
I'm like, yo, what is what is what is happening?
And I just made a mess? Dude made an absolute mess.
Keyboard was never the same. Hey, dude, that that was.
(12:52):
That was the first time dude been chasing that high
ever since.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Chasing that high. Dude out there, like God, I gotta
get back on to get back on that train.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Had I get back on the train where you can
do multi every once in a while, Every once in
a while you get one back back.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
That was time of like it. That was like an
You're just like you're stoked about it.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
You're distraught about the first time it happens.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
You're like, what ye did I just do clean this
up now, dude, I have.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Some funny stories. Man, we can do it. We can
ruttle that off onother podcast.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
I want to hear your story.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Go ahead, we got wrong, We got wrong. Yeah, he
wants to hear it, but rom hey, you better think
of yours too, because we're coming.
Speaker 3 (13:32):
To your next You got you gotta think of yours.
You gotta have something, so I uh, he's kind of
the same. His coach gonna get pissed. I'm sitting there
figuring out.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Okay, my buddies told me this is how I do it.
So I'm gonna get you your buddies, Yeah, my buddies, Yeah,
my buddy. So sitting in the bathroom, Run the shower,
obviously taking a shower, get out the lotion, make a
little scene about it.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Start, you know, going to work. Boys starts going to
work pretty quick, and obviously you know it doesn't It
doesn't last long for a young, youthful dude.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Yeah, or twenty seven years old and something like that.
If they keep going d my leg like yours did.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
My left leg starts like twitching, and it starts like
leaning up like on the counter, and it's just like ah,
and it just goes everywhere fastward. The next night, can't
wait to do it again. I already start taking a shower.
I'm like, I'm gonna do this, do this in the shower.
That's why I had to learn the hard way about shampoo.
So I'm like, oh, what can I use in the
shower because the lotion was falling off way too quick
(14:38):
the same work, and I gotta I can think, come
think shampoo. So I start going to work a shampoo. Well,
this one's hilarious because I didn't go the second time
calls a shot.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
This one's.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
I thought I was about to a and then I
just started pissing. Oh no, no, that wasn't it.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
That, that wasn't it. That wasn't And as I.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Started going, that's when I started burning the shampoo.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
And that's why. That's when you knew soap was just
off limits. After that point, I used to do some
weird ship though. Back in my day.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Man like, yeah, I feel like when you're that young
of an age, you'll try anything.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
You're just an animal.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah, oh dude, no question, You'll go dude, and you'll
just look at stuff. I remember being like eight and
looking at a shoe box and the little hole in
the shoe box being like I could that could be
saying like I'm like in my head, like that could
be something like I don't know or I don't know,
just a pillow laying there helplessly like there is stuffed animal, Like,
(15:47):
oh you're in what's happened to you?
Speaker 3 (15:50):
Dude?
Speaker 2 (15:51):
I'm tearing up, man, dude, So who you got taken
this thing? In Game seven?
Speaker 3 (15:58):
Now, obviously by the time this releases, it's gonna be over, Like,
are gonna be decided Game seven tomorrow?
Speaker 7 (16:06):
I think Boston Honestly, yeah, I think Boston's going to win.
They just have so much experience with game sevens and
a bunch of guys have been there.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
How much strategy is involved in like how much strategy
plays into hockey, because we were talking about one game
in a seven game series, Like, dude, if we played
seven game series, there would be so much frustration seven
because it's such a strategic game in football, like game
preparation everything on, like being on your p's and q's,
(16:34):
Like I don't know what you guys look at, but
I know from a defensive perspective, like it's all like
for what formations are coming out of what personnels, what
are their tendencies in this formation? YadA, YadA, YadA to
where you can kind of narrow some stuff down, and
by game seven, it's just like how many fucking trick
players are they gonna have or just tendency breakers that
they're gonna have?
Speaker 2 (16:51):
Now, Like what is that?
Speaker 7 (16:52):
It's a lot different in hockey. It's a it's a
lot more instinct. There's obviously some strategy, there's systems and stuff. Funny,
you try to trust your team, but honestly, like once
you're out there, you're just playing like you you know
the system because you play it all year, and then
once you're out there, it's all instincts, like you're just
trying to read the game and trying to read and
react and like just talking to a bunch of you guys,
(17:13):
Like the our meetings are so short to compare to
you guys. Yeah, yeah, we have a meeting eting, like
we have a yeah, oh yeah we don't. We we
have like on game days we have a maybe half
an hour meeting and that's about it. Like we we
meet about the other team and it's pretty much half
an hour, not even sometimes and.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
Then you're sharpen your skill. You're like your skills up
and I had to work on this, I work on that. Yeah,
that's crazy. I can't imagine playing as many games.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
You guys. How many we play?
Speaker 4 (17:38):
Eight eighty two?
Speaker 1 (17:40):
Yeah, how many?
Speaker 3 (17:41):
How much in between each game?
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Two days normally?
Speaker 3 (17:44):
And you guys just have like a thirty minute meeting.
Speaker 7 (17:46):
Yeah, well we have like we have meetings some on
practice days and we just go over the game for
like twenty minutes.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
Just play.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Yeah, that's gonna be so much more fun than like football.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Like football, you're like, okay, boys, like the Monday meeting, Kay,
we played awesome or we played shitty and we had
to work on this. Tuesdays off, Wednesday practice, Thursday practice,
Friday practice, Saturday.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
Walking and you guys are there from what we're eight
to five every day.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
It's like it for us, it's really like seven seven
to five. Yeah, and like there's so much taking here
your body because you're banging all the time. Like we
got to hit I mean fun, but you guys hit
all time too.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
We do.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
But field, like April May, how's that feeling?
Speaker 4 (18:25):
Honestly, it just depends on the games.
Speaker 7 (18:27):
It's a it's not playoffs is playoffs is tough, Like
you get beat up in playoffs, but during the year
it's it's I mean, there's guys who play a different
way too.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
There's guys who hit all the time.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
Here's your here's your first train.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
This should be an honor. Like every Bust with the
Boys podcast was always always a train that goes by. Dude,
we just fight through adversity around here.
Speaker 7 (18:48):
But I'm sorry to interrupt you, but yeah, there's just
I mean, like I said, like on a on a
practice that we barely practice anymore. We just play games
and then the next day we might practice, but we
practice for them half an hour with the rink for
two and a half hours max. And then you can
get to go home and relax. So it's it's a
lot of games and not a lot of practice.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
So your your days aren't very full.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
No.
Speaker 7 (19:11):
We we get to rink and maybe like ten the
day after a game and practice at twelve get out
of there by one.
Speaker 4 (19:20):
Dude, Jesus, that was great.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
Fun too, because like he said, instinct like you're trying
to kill myself right now, dude, because for us, he's
like a different Wednesdays. The focus is like first and
second down Thursdays is what third down, third down Fridays,
Red Days is red zone in some two minutes Saturdays.
Like you put it all together through walkers and stuff
like that.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
If your first top ten players or whatever, yeah, your
top ten calls.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Well, it's impressive how many players you guys have to know?
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
It's dude, it is, but like you can do like
it's just like any studying anything, like the word association.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Like these these players are all grouped together in a
certain way.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
Like all these are all outside zones. A couple of
nuances here the inside zones. Okay, these are the unique
pin poll schemes or the like the taxis and everything
like that. That's the stuff that's crazy. But do you
do you guys like have like defenses they obviously you do,
like power players. The guy chilling down there.
Speaker 7 (20:11):
We got systems like and and our systems are all
like whoever, there's five guys on the ice, so there's
the system is like for the five guys, Like we
don't have like a defense and an offense. Obviously the
defense plays a little different than the offensive players.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
But our city a team make sure behind our.
Speaker 7 (20:27):
System is all team based, so it's like whatever we do,
like like playing defense, our forwards have to play defense too.
They they can't just play offense. Once we get the park,
they play offense. But if the other a team has
the park, everybody plays defense. So it's not just a
defend that played defense.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
What was your what was your process like getting to
the league. Like my brother, My brother played juniors, he
got drafted by Corpus Christie. It was like playing for
Metro Moose and a bunch of stuff like that. And
then my brother in law he played juniors pay for
like the the Colowna Rockets. Oh he did, Yeah, he
played for the Colna Rockets, which he wheber. He also
played for them too, Right, So I kind of get it.
(21:03):
I've been around for hockey my whole life. My dad's
from me Diyna, Minnesota, And so I played hockey as
a mite.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
I was eight. It was a stud dude. I could dangle. Yeah,
I was dec I was like, I was like, I
was the most coordinated eight year old. How's that sound?
Speaker 2 (21:17):
And then we went to pee wee or whatever it is?
And I got we went to like do a travel
team and I got checked.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
I got hit. You I got de iced, ord skated
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
I was out of there. I quit never played because
I got hit. Now I get it, it's awful. I quit, dude.
I quit football when I was younger too, for the
same reason. I got tackled. I was like, I'm out
here done.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
You don't like getny hit?
Speaker 1 (21:41):
I love it now. I don't mind it now, I know.
I think. I think it's all relative. I don't mind.
I think I like.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
I like hitting someone way more than getting that is
not for But yeah, dude, when I was younger, I
was a little bitch. I would like I got hit.
I was like, fuck this, dude, I'm out of here.
I don't want I want nothing to do with this,
so I quit.
Speaker 7 (21:58):
Well, hockey is different though. Hockey you can like kind
of you guys don't get hit. Yeah, you do, but
there's a couple of big hits once in a while.
But there's also games where you like, depending on the situation,
like you have to hit one a guy like every play,
Like we don't have to do that. Like there's some
place where you have to hit a guy or you
get hit, but it's it's not as often.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
So your process growing, your process growing up.
Speaker 7 (22:21):
Yeah, so I played. I played in Switzerland my whole life.
I grew up in burn, Switzerland, not Sweden.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Yep, excuse me, Yeah, made that mistake before the podcast.
Never do that again.
Speaker 7 (22:31):
But yeah, I grew up there and played for my
hometown team pretty much my whole life and played there
till I was sixteen, and then I turned pro in Switzerland,
played for my hometown team.
Speaker 1 (22:42):
Again sixteen years old. You turn pro?
Speaker 4 (22:44):
Well, seventeen was my first season, Yeah, jesus.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
It happens young, like if you're not a hockey young like, yeah.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
But it's different over here.
Speaker 7 (22:50):
It's like like you said, like they played juniors over here,
and then you get drafted and then you make the
NHL or go to the AHL.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
But so when when you said it's different over here,
you get and then they get drafted, what age are
they getting drafted to? The eighteen high in your pro
at like sixteen seventeen over seventeen?
Speaker 7 (23:07):
Yeah, but then I got drafted. I was eighteen too,
and then once you drafted, you can play in the NHL.
But I played, uh two more years after that in
Switzerland and then I came over.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
After getting drafted. You played two more years of Switzerland.
How did that work? How does that work?
Speaker 1 (23:21):
It's is it similar to like like an go ahead?
Speaker 7 (23:25):
I know, well, the leagues are good over there, like
the European leagues. The hockey leagues are pretty good. I
don't know if you know. Austin Matthews played in He
was the first oral pick. He played in Switzerland the
year before before he got drafted. Because it's a really
good league. It's fast and and you're playing against man
so it's they're all strong and it's a it's a
really good league. So I for me, I was gonna
make it right to the NHL. So I decided to
(23:47):
to play there one I think it was one more
year or two more years and and just try to
work on my game, get better, get stronger, and then
then I came over. But I mean, some guys make
it right to the NHL. But it's probably similar in football,
like it's only the real talent guy that make it
right away, like it takes time.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
The difference between hockey and football is hockey, you get
drafted at a high school or when you're eighteen seventeen,
eighteen years old, and then you have the choice.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
You can go.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
You can go to the league, right, and then try
to make a team or go down to their minor
league teams. Or you can go to college and play.
And if you go to college, you can only play
one year and then you can go play NHL and football.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
You have to be three years removed from high school.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
So I so when whatever, I was seventeen when I
graduated high school, so when I was twenty, I was
eligible to play football. But like the dudes in the States,
because like in Canada, like you just play where you're from, right,
and you just do your thing. In Europe, like you
do this, like you play where you're from, and then
you you go pro there and then you do the
process you just said. Like in the States, like I
know some kids that are from Arizona that like fourteen
(24:48):
fifteen years old had to go move to like Michigan
or minnesot because I think the USA team plays in
Michigan in and our breast, so which is where the
school I went to. And so you're living with a
billet family, yeah, and you're like you live with a
different family at fourteen fifteen years old, and like your boys,
your hockey guys, and that's it. Then you go play college, Yeah,
and then at any time in college you can just dip.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
And like NHL, it sounds like you can have more development,
more of a developmental stage because in the NFL, like
if you're not ready to go once you're ready, once
you enter the draft, like you're not gonna there's only
gonna be very few guys who are on a practice squad,
Like I couldn't have been drafted by somebody and then
played somewhere else for a year, so they can kind of,
I don't know, they get better. Did that team help you?
(25:31):
Like when they drafted you, they knew you were gonna
play in Switzerland for another year or two and wanted
you to develop more and work on certain aspects of
your game.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
And then I came over and I played in Milwaukee
for a year in the AHL. So for me, it
was like that's in hockey. It's it's pretty nice because
you can, like you can play if you don't make
it the NHL, you can play in Europe and it's
a pretty good league, or you can play in the
AHL and the AHL is good too, like it It
was great for me because I came over from Switzerland
and the game is a lot diff from over there
(25:56):
because it's a bigger ice rink and stuff. So there's
so many things I had to learn and just get
stronger and get used to the North American game.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
And for me, playing the walker from for one year
was huge.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
That's a wild game. And so you from Milwaukee went
to the Predators. Yeah, and you've been here the whole time? Yeah,
how has that been like when you're your first year?
Speaker 1 (26:16):
What was that like?
Speaker 4 (26:17):
It was awesome.
Speaker 7 (26:17):
Well, when I got drafted, I got drafted by Nashville,
I was like, where's Nashville?
Speaker 4 (26:24):
Like never so.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
Yeah, and then I came my first year he was
it was unreal, Like, to be honest, like everybody thinks
hockey is only growing the last couple of years because
he made it to the finalists. But even even my
first year here playing at bridgetone was was unbelievable. Like
it was loud, it was wild. The fans, the fans
are unreal. And obviously with making it to the finals,
we got the whole city kind of came behind us.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
But even before it was awesome, Like.
Speaker 2 (26:51):
You guys are studs, dude, the way you guys like,
I don't know, you guys got this energy about you,
like the well, the first off, all the fans are crazy,
like they're they're unbelievab.
Speaker 1 (27:00):
They're all so cool.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
How everyone's so close, and like if you go and
talk to somebody from Nashville, they have no idea what
hockey even, like you know what I'm saying, But they've
educated themselves and they know, like, hey, well the puck
goes pesta blue line, everyone's gotta go back. You got
to shill for a second and then they gotta go back,
you know what I'm saying. And it's just like it's
wild and like growing up watching hockey like that was
a sport to me, Like that was my favorite sport
(27:22):
to watch. And to come and watch you guys and
kind of get to know you guys a little bit.
That's been that's been the coolest thing. Like my dad
and my brother are like, okay, you know Romanosi.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
It's like, yeah, we're actually boys. Got his phone number
right here, dude, Yeah, am I going to his wedding?
Speaker 2 (27:38):
I can't make it. I must have got lost in
the mail. Took my AOL account.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Yeah to me, I was like, I'm like, the guys,
you explained like I didn't most I know about hockey
is like playing it on the video game and just
kind of learning and bandwagon rooting for freaking Alex Ovechkin
being up and out in DC. So, dude, being in
hockey games are It's my favorite sport to watch live.
I mean the energy like it.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
It's fast paced, like dude, you get.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
But Bridgestone is not a level too like Bridgetone. Yeah,
it's like it's Andrea.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
Like, have you played?
Speaker 3 (28:10):
Have you played in Washington? And Bridgetone is better?
Speaker 4 (28:13):
I think?
Speaker 7 (28:13):
So, Okay, Washington's good too, but Bridgestone is just it's
a different atmosphere, like it's it's like a college game
like deaf Chance and everything.
Speaker 4 (28:21):
That that doesn't have.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Awesome, man, I haven't been to one yet in Bridgestone.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
Oh you haven't.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
No, I haven't been. When you haven't slept the catfish?
I have watched the boy role.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Play given what a cat fish?
Speaker 3 (28:33):
The catfish? Catfish? Ain't that what you do?
Speaker 1 (28:35):
You slap them? You slap them?
Speaker 2 (28:37):
Do you you chucked from the catfish?
Speaker 3 (28:39):
What you're talking about?
Speaker 4 (28:40):
Go fish? The catfish with the term ironic on time?
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Dude, that was the coolest thing ever. Well, No, we
had like a we had like an already dead one
in there.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Oh really yeah, And like with that pond where we
were out outside of the tits facility, the whole facility
used to be a dump, like there's like trash and
they turned into a pond. And I guess there's like
a rumor like they paid in off its alignment, like
fifteen K to swim across the pond and ain't it
ain't no like basic swim, like you got to know
your ship a little bit to get across that thing.
(29:07):
And the guy swim across it and he was like dead,
Like he was like so sick for weeks because that
water is so contaminated really, and so like they're like
they're like, hey, they want you because we just did
the the catfish thing with the I think it was
the first time we already we only did it once.
It was before like we chugged it off the catfish
(29:27):
or whatever. And they like they're like, hey, NHL is
coming for the finals. They want to do a thing
with you and Ronick. And I'm like, Jeremy Ronick, you
mean the guy who played for the Coyotes, who was
like I mean he played for the Fly the Flyers
Philip phil Flyers for a little bit. Yeah, and he's
like a legend. Yeah, and so I was like, yeah,
(29:48):
I was fired up about it. But this dude was
started like uh, he gets into it. And we were
out at the pond. I'm like, hey, you should, uh
just just know that that's some dirty water.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Be careful.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
And he was like I appreciate ate that. And the
guy's like, all right, here's what we're gonna do. You're
gonna get in the water. And they said action and
Ronick dives into the water. Dude like mouths the water
and like spits it up at home and I'm like,
this man is gonna die, dude, He's gonna and I'm
gonna be.
Speaker 1 (30:15):
And dud. It was fun, dude.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
He like he gets into it. He's a fun time
for sure. Yeah, he definitely gets after it, dude. I
do you know a guy named Bob Corkham. He was
like a fourth line guy for the for the Coyotes forever.
But like when I was really young, his hint, his kid,
his family lived in our neighborhood and we'd play like
roller hockey every single day together after after school.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
It was the best. It's like one of Dude.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
I went to a couple, went to a couple of
Coyotes games, went to Roadrunners games, like, we had a
lot of fun out there. But I never like really
invested into hockey until I got to Nashville. And when
I got to Nashville, I mean, we did the Catfish
thing and that was awesome.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
Like I remember.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
The Finalists, wasn't it.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
No, the I think the Finals was the That was
the loge thing we did. Do you guys watch that stuff?
Do you realize you guys, guys the boys up, they're
just pounding beer?
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Dude?
Speaker 4 (31:13):
I had that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Do you guys really dude?
Speaker 2 (31:16):
Because I was stay in my head, I'm like, yeah,
I gotta get these boys, like, you know, you gotta
pump yourself up, like give yourself a reason. I mean,
I get so fired enough to pump you dudes up.
And we're like, I remember, we're sitting back there and
it's all the boys and they're like wives or girlfriends,
and really it was like, a we want Marcus to
be there, but Marcus is not the most outgoing guy
in the world. So we'll bring the off to line.
And like, as soon as I knew we were in it. Well,
(31:38):
I bought a catfish. I'm gonna go through security and
I'm talking to the boys and I'm like, all right, boys,
Like what do you guys want to do?
Speaker 1 (31:44):
And like, well, maybe we should just wave towels like
everybody else.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
And I'm like, let's go, like, we're not gonna do that,
like y be basic af Like let's get this thing going.
It's like we're chugging. I'm gonna, we're gona, I'm gonna
hold this thing up. We're gonna, we're gonna slap the
twenty four ounces and we're gonna put those things down, dude,
as fast as we can. And they were kind of
iffy about it. And then they bought in dude, and
it just it totally took.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Off after Yeah, it kind of did.
Speaker 4 (32:09):
Remember we came to your game, dude, I was gonna
bring that up. They all brought catfish up, you.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
Guys will I remember it was like it was right
before you renounced captain.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Right, yeah, the next season right after it, because yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
What fish or not Fish and Weber were gone right
or maybe fish before and and so I remember, like
you guys came out. I was kind of watching on
you like put the sword down, And in my head,
I'm like, Yo, that dude, he's gonna be captain. Like
he's going to for sure be captain. That you guys
already knew, didn't you. No, you didn't know, you lion.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Cent, We didn't know. But I remember, like, was it
like halftime or something like that. It wasn't halftime.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
It was before the game.
Speaker 7 (32:46):
It was it was before you guys up in the Yeah,
it was like during the game, I think, yeah, because
it all brought Catfishop and we're all like getting.
Speaker 3 (32:55):
They did they did? They display it on the screen.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
They put it on the screen and they were all
like holding the calf fish up and the boys are
slamming and I'm like, I'm gonna fucking run through. That's
what I'm gonna do for the boys right here.
Speaker 2 (33:06):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
I was so fired up. That's what it is.
Speaker 7 (33:09):
Though, How like how sick is it if you see
like we see you guys yeah in our suite, like
just finding the boys up and we come to your
game like it's the best, Like when you see our
athletes there and like you appreciate like the boys coming
out and because.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
You're like, oh, did you see that? I'm just thinking, bro,
we were sitting on the I guess you guys already did,
but if we were sitting on the on the bench
and look up and the freaking hockey teams are pounding beer,
like yeah.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
You're.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
No doubt, no doubt. And then we did it again. Yeah, dude,
I got me so fired up.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
I was so stoked you guys did it because in
my head, I'm like, yo, the boys, like we got
a little thing going. That's pretty cool now, and so
we did it like for the finals year, we did
the catfish lose thing and like we like they they
put the beers on top, and I'm like drowning literally
that catfish was like I didn't drink one ounce of
that beer, dude. I was just like trying to breathe
the whole time. And finally I get the fish. I'm
(34:00):
like holding it up and I'm so fired up, but
I'm also like trying to catch my breath and I
see their goalie and I just give them the bird.
And I gave him that bird so hard and I
came off, and uh, one of our PR guys goes
texts me, goes a little too much. And I was like, dude,
got the GM gave us a talk, Rabel gave us
(34:21):
a talk.
Speaker 5 (34:22):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (34:22):
They were like, hey, maybe just tone it down a
little bit, a little too much WWE or whatever. And
I was like, I don't know, man, I kind of
love it, love but there's like there's a there's a
big difference in like hockey etiquette and football etiquette.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
I feel like for you guys to be able.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
To fight and come off, go to the other box,
get out, like, that's gotta be like you gotta have
some self control to not just go back at that
dude and fight them again. And football, like, I don't
know if it's where like like a lot of dudes
in football, like we like everybody came from a different part,
you know what I'm saying. I feel like hockey, I
don't know, it's it's a different situation, you know what
(34:59):
I'm trying to say.
Speaker 7 (35:00):
But well, the fights are kind of like the fights
are more part of the game than aggression. Sometimes they're aggression,
like sometimes you I guess like the guys who actually
fight a lot, it's kind of part of the game.
Speaker 4 (35:11):
They're trying to get the momentum for the for the
team or the boys. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (35:15):
Yeah, they try to get the momentum, like you down,
like you're fighting someone you win to fight, it's like
something everybody gets fired up. And but but there's definitely
fights from aggression. Like there's some some players who don't
fight a lot. Sometimes they get into it with a
guy and and you fight. But that's I mean, that's
what's good about hockey, Like you can settle it right there. Yeah,
it's it's one against one. It's all like it's it's
(35:36):
not like both both guys have like a fair like
the same the same rules and stuff.
Speaker 3 (35:40):
So they square.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
Yeah, how's that's done? Like you go to the box
and implement it's pretty much sell.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
That power play stuff like that. How is that coached?
Like how is that in the room coach? Because like
when we're coach, they're like not fight, not that guys
want to scare up and fight. Yes, yeah, yeah, but
you know what I mean, Like when you're guys are
shoving after the play and basically can get a penalty.
We go through situations where you know he's basically you'll
walk away like you're not gonna do anything here besides
(36:09):
make it worse, like, how is that coach? How was
fighting coach and implemented in like a strategy or as
his locker room.
Speaker 7 (36:15):
Well, it depends, like you you normally know the guy.
The guys who are fighting know when a good time
is to fight. Yeah, And it's always like if you
have a tough guy on the team, it's he's fighting
another tough guy. Like he's not gonna go after some
guy who never fights. Yeah, so he's going after the
other tough guy. And they're they're pretty much know when
when a good time is to fight. And it depends
on big games, the playoffs, there's not as many fights
(36:36):
because you want to you don't want to take a
penalty just for a fight and then then you're on
the box play So but yeah, are you a fighter
or you do?
Speaker 3 (36:46):
You fight on?
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Too skilled? Too skilled to fight one fight.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
You gotta keep him sharp, man, you gotta keep him short.
Who's the who's the I hate that I don't know
this tough guy on the Predator, who's the one who.
Speaker 7 (36:55):
Fights well, I would say Austin Watson, Cody McLeod. Last
year Austin Watson.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Brian Man. That guy was legendary.
Speaker 4 (37:05):
Brian mcgrant. That's he used to be like really really tough, like.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
The Yeah, is there conversations on the bench like, hey man,
we might need you to whoop somebody's ask to get
this thing going.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
Like that, dude, if you guys have an opening, I
would absolutely love.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Are you coming for finding like happy Gilmore?
Speaker 1 (37:23):
Well, have you ever seen the documentary Ice Guardians?
Speaker 4 (37:26):
No?
Speaker 1 (37:27):
Have you seen it?
Speaker 2 (37:28):
No? It's unbelievable. It's about hockey like enforcers and how
like literally they'd be sitting there like their only role
like is the fight and then once once you get
to the playoffs or games that matter, you're at hs.
Speaker 1 (37:38):
Yeah you're healthy.
Speaker 4 (37:40):
Scratch, that doesn't happen.
Speaker 7 (37:41):
There's there's not many guys like that anymore. Now everybody
has to play like everybody. There's a lot of like
tough guys like yeah, probably not documentary. Those guys were
like the cats.
Speaker 3 (37:52):
Tom Wilson fights a lot.
Speaker 4 (37:54):
Yeah, he's tough too.
Speaker 3 (37:54):
Yeah he swings.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
He's a really good player too.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
Yeah, is there ever like, uh, you know, I should
funk with him because when you're at the games and
in between whistles, that's when guys are kind of trying
to off each other.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
A little bit.
Speaker 7 (38:07):
But it's almost like you like, guys know who's tough
and who's not. So it's like somebody if I go
up to a tough guy and go like he's gonna know,
like okay, like you're not going to fight me.
Speaker 3 (38:20):
Or like a tough guy picks on you, not saying
you're not tough, but so the tough guy on the team,
he hey, like, you know, don't be a bitch like
you want to fight somebody fight me?
Speaker 2 (38:28):
How did you?
Speaker 1 (38:29):
How did your fight out? But how did your first
fight go?
Speaker 7 (38:31):
It was okay, actually did you Yeah, I don't know,
it was it was more like wrestling match in the fight.
I didn't get any punched in but he didn't either.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Did you win the takedown? Did you win the takedown?
Speaker 1 (38:43):
That's how you would go?
Speaker 2 (38:44):
And you you were never a big fighter, Like do
you get after the gym or anything like that?
Speaker 4 (38:48):
What fighting in the gym? No?
Speaker 1 (38:50):
You know what I'm saying, Like, you know, you gotta
get in the gym a little bit if you want
to know.
Speaker 7 (38:54):
But I was always I'm I was always kind of
weak a little bit, you know, I was I was
never strong guy, never strong guy, So I just never
and growing up in Europe, fighting is not like it's
more in North America than it is in Europe.
Speaker 1 (39:07):
Americans, this is you, this is your fighting.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
This is your fight.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Let's see, dude, let's see yos throw something bows here.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
He's back there is it gonna go back?
Speaker 4 (39:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Okay, let's go.
Speaker 3 (39:23):
Boy there he's got him up against the boards.
Speaker 4 (39:30):
Dude, that's.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
Came over with a little chuck late dell over the top.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Of the tail of the tape. Yosi six one two
one five eight.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
That's that sixty three guy that he talks about ship
he does yeh, he talks a lot of ship out there.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:48):
Do you chup?
Speaker 3 (39:49):
Yeah? Do you chure?
Speaker 4 (39:50):
Not really, dude, you got terrible.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
What do you mean you're terrible at all?
Speaker 4 (39:54):
I can.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
Yeah, big, I'm big into I love it.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
You're quick. You're probably just quick.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
And like, yeah, well, dude, I get a lot of
my my ship from videos like this. I'll watch it
because my wife's from Canada, my brother and I've said
the whole thing. I literally grew up like watching hockey
and like football players like just say like rich like
n word, I'll shoot you. That is little I've been
told that I probably weak ass.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
Yeah exactly. I'm like, okay, whoa a little aggressive?
Speaker 2 (40:25):
But like hockey players, dude, they say the fun they
call people wagons, like hockey lingo is the best, dude,
but they're like guys are wearing advisors back and then
they're like, hey, roll down your window before you talk
to me, bud, like just saying stuff like that, Oh dude,
it's so funny.
Speaker 1 (40:39):
But everyone wears a visor.
Speaker 4 (40:40):
You gotta have to quick like to be you kind
of have to be funny.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
Yeah, so many I'm just.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
Like, well, I mean it's a second language too, right, English,
Like you gotta like, I'm sure you get some Russian
guyut there you're like, hey, what's up your pileon Guy's.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
Just like dah, yeah, this guy doesn't want to talk
at all.
Speaker 2 (40:56):
You're noble, somebody who probably thinks about it, not thinks
about it, but you just kind of know what you're.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Gonna go to.
Speaker 2 (41:02):
I feel like, if you're gonna chirp, you gotta have
a couple in the back pocket.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
That's what I'm saying. Like, I don't know, I'm not
a big like.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
You just to like she says something you gotta come back,
have something.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
You know.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
You got a couple who chirps in the team.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
Austin Watson.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
Watson sounds like a boy.
Speaker 4 (41:20):
PK is good too?
Speaker 1 (41:21):
Does he chirp?
Speaker 4 (41:21):
He's quick?
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Is he quick? Way?
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Quick? And waity?
Speaker 4 (41:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (41:24):
Did you say something good? One pussy?
Speaker 1 (41:28):
Who's this just fighting?
Speaker 4 (41:30):
That's Watson? Ye?
Speaker 5 (41:32):
So yeah, this is Austin Watson fighting and it's a video.
They go to the box and they start hanging out
like or they start having a good conversation and there
the words come up on the screen.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
Dude, it's the best water buddy, he was, We're gonna
work on our cardio this summer.
Speaker 3 (41:55):
I'm dying after like ten seconds.
Speaker 1 (41:56):
Man, Yeah, that's so funny, dude. They were really going
at it though. They were kind of like.
Speaker 4 (42:05):
They know, it's kind of like.
Speaker 7 (42:07):
It's it's just a fight, and it's not like I'm
sure there's aggression sometimes, like sometimes you get into it,
but a lot of times they fight to get the
momentum and stuff, and I remember then it's it's not
after the fight.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
Oops.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
No, I was just gonna say too.
Speaker 8 (42:21):
It's like part of the culture to protect your like
you're like you guys Like I heard, uh what we
were talking. Wayne Gretzky was talking about his enforcer, that
mc sorlely guy, and he's like, I wouldn't have been
Gretzky without this guy.
Speaker 3 (42:36):
You know, he protected me on the ice the whole time.
Speaker 7 (42:38):
No, it's that's what it is, like, you like they
protect the star players, like they make sure everything everything
is like in order. Like guys don't like do any
cheap shots on on the star players. And I mean,
I have so much respect for those guys. It's it's
I mean, they're tough, and you're out there on the
ice and you see them fight, You're like, wow.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
Dude, there's there's such a respect factor in hockey that
I pre shades so much. Like I love it when
guys will skate up on the goalie ica gooy a
little bit, and you guys are just on them.
Speaker 1 (43:06):
It doesn't matter how big the dude is. You guys
just take care of your boys.
Speaker 2 (43:09):
At the quarterback, they hit the quarterback, everyone's around them, dude.
You gotta look out for the boys, dude. That's that's
one thing.
Speaker 1 (43:17):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (43:17):
This is a lung buss. That's one thing you gotta
uh yeah, long train. Sorry, dude, I am literally CT
right now.
Speaker 1 (43:26):
It's bad, dude.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
You gotta like, I don't know, it's just crazy how
you guys look out for your own out there and
like the boys are always looking.
Speaker 4 (43:33):
Out for the boys.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
What uh did you see that video in the finals
a couple of years ago when p K was just
like jabbing Crosby in the head in the back of
the What was going on with that?
Speaker 7 (43:44):
They were, Yeah, they're going at it for a couple
of times, and a couple of big name guys too,
because he said something about I don't know if you
guys saw that about his like he p K said
something that Crosby called him out that he has brath and.
Speaker 4 (44:00):
If he got shot up.
Speaker 3 (44:01):
Amen, amen, you want to men?
Speaker 4 (44:05):
Then they had like the whole they were kind of
going at it.
Speaker 1 (44:08):
Oh sh no, it was opposite. It was super getting.
Speaker 4 (44:11):
But is good he gets like like I said, he's
good at chirping to.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
Yeah, how do you not beat the ship out of
that guy for that? Dude? You can't be fucking tired
man loom hold him in the headlock. Yeah, I'd be
so mad if I was supern was he going? That
was a tough series to watch, man.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
I was there for all those games, every game you
guys had a Yeah, well all all these final games
for sure, because I got those the I got season tickets,
and I'm like two rows behind the bench. Every once
in a while, we walk on, I know. Yeah, we
gotta give each a little nod.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
We do, we move on.
Speaker 7 (44:45):
I remember that picture you posted a butt when you're
standing behind Phil and you were staying like this.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
Oh yeah, just like just staring at Phil.
Speaker 4 (44:53):
Yeah, dude, he's he good, dude, Yes, yeah, he's awesome.
Speaker 1 (44:57):
That's a couple of years ago. Dude.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
I didn't make it one game this year. I know,
I know I'm a bastard, but I should have definitely
made it.
Speaker 4 (45:06):
Will have got one? Yeah, we gotta. I know.
Speaker 3 (45:08):
I want to go to one.
Speaker 4 (45:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (45:09):
I love the hockey environment.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
Do you also?
Speaker 1 (45:11):
You make it to a lot of Titan games.
Speaker 4 (45:14):
I tried to at least once or twice a year.
Did you this year?
Speaker 5 (45:20):
No?
Speaker 4 (45:20):
I didn't. I didn't last year either, actually, but we
tried to.
Speaker 7 (45:23):
But it's tough for our schedule because you guys play
what eight home games, so sometimes we're on the road
or like we play Saturday night. But I love watching
you guys play. It's awesome. Yeah, I mean I want
to come to a couple more if if you have
a chance, for sure, Dude, you.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
Ever need tickets, you let me know. I got you.
Are you? Do you understand the game? I do?
Speaker 3 (45:43):
Ye?
Speaker 2 (45:44):
Did you know before you came over here? I did not?
Speaker 7 (45:47):
Actually, well, we we used we used to watch the
super Bowl in Switzerland. It's like a thing to watch
the super Bowl. Does it come on there like three am?
Speaker 1 (45:55):
Perfect time.
Speaker 7 (45:56):
We would only watch the super Bowl. We didn't see
any other games. And then I came over and uh,
like I said, I played in Milwaukee and that year
playing in Milwaukee Green Bay on the.
Speaker 4 (46:04):
Super Bowl, which is pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (46:05):
Yeah, so yeah, I started watching football more and more
and then yeah, I'm pretty I don't know all the rules,
but I would say.
Speaker 4 (46:12):
I'm pretty good at it. Now. That's awesome. Yeah, it's
fun to watch. I love it. It's carot red Zone
on Sunday. It's just really Yeah, it's.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
A relatively easy game to watch. Like, you understand the
concept pretty fast. Yeah, it doesn't take very long to learn.
Hockey is it's definitely tough to pick up, like when
when you're icing, like it takes a while.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
Why is it? Why is the ref just blowing it dead?
Speaker 3 (46:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (46:34):
And then there's so many lines involved. I feel like
it's kind of like soccer, but I don't even understand
the soccer.
Speaker 4 (46:39):
But it took me as I.
Speaker 2 (46:42):
Don't really know soccer. I know hockey decent, but like
I wouldn't know how to play.
Speaker 7 (46:46):
But football is hard for like for me to understand
like all the plays a different plays and like and
why you run the ball right now or why you're
drawing it?
Speaker 4 (46:53):
And then yeah, that took me a while too, Like.
Speaker 3 (46:55):
He's watching somebody, he's watching us running on like third
and long. We're like, you know, backed up or just
get better.
Speaker 5 (47:02):
Do it?
Speaker 1 (47:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (47:03):
You have a fantasy team? Do you play fantasy?
Speaker 1 (47:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (47:05):
Yeah, I played the last year for the first time.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
You guys playing with the offensive lenman or No, No,
there's no offensivement in fantasy football.
Speaker 3 (47:15):
Did you have anybody from the Titans on your team?
Speaker 4 (47:19):
No? I have Mariota, Yeah, get married.
Speaker 1 (47:23):
Have you met him?
Speaker 4 (47:24):
No, I've never met.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
It's an awesome guy, dude, I've heard we got it.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
Like that's the thing. I love, Like that little community
has got going. We got going on, like the Prads
and the Titans. I feel like we got a little something.
Speaker 4 (47:33):
I know. I agree. Yeah, it's awesome.
Speaker 2 (47:35):
I was talking to we're talking to Butch, who was
a guest. We haven't really state yet or maybe we
have it this time. We're all over the place. But
I was talking to him about doing like a softball
game like Predators versus Titans. And then I know, like
Caleb's really close to you guys, and so like, do
you like the Kings of Leon like to on your side?
And then I'm close to Jared, so do too. And
(47:55):
that's that as captain's and we do like a do
a sloping softball game. You guys are like kick your ass,
your hands coordination is crazy the Europeans.
Speaker 4 (48:05):
No, there's no way we played.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
I think it'd be I think it'd be a close
game because because football players ego everywhere. Dude, we would
try to go yard every time, No doubt that is over.
But you guys, like I've seen like dudes take the
stick and like just bake it in.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
But I don't know we played. We played.
Speaker 7 (48:24):
We played a baseball game at Bandy this year at
the beginning of the year and we played Europe against
North America and we got no chance. Like it was baseball,
you guys played a base guys oping, but like not
ripping it.
Speaker 4 (48:38):
It was more like a home run derby kind of
like the coach was, do you get.
Speaker 3 (48:42):
Some kegs there?
Speaker 1 (48:43):
I think, dude, that's what we gotta do is gotags.
I think it'd be awesome. But what's a good time
for you guys?
Speaker 7 (48:50):
Probably well it probably guys right well, guys are not
in town. Guys don't get into like end of August.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
But terrible for we would never be able to do it.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
But if you guys, like do you guys, do you
guys thro right away right after the seasons over?
Speaker 4 (49:04):
Yeah, like most guys leave like a week after.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
What we should do is feel it out, Like if
you guys are doing really well and we know, like hey,
like they got a chance, then we should do it
like around this time. You know what I'm saying, because
all the football players are in right now, Like we're
all here, and you get enough guys to come back,
nine to ten of your guys, like, we're.
Speaker 1 (49:25):
Be so much fun.
Speaker 2 (49:26):
It'd be so much fun because I've been I've spent
a lot of time with you guys, but I've been
around a couple of you guys, and you seem like
good dudes. But hockey has always been a super tight
community at my house. Uh in college, we we're on
State Street and like Yost Arena was right across the streets,
So the hockey boys were my next door neighbors. And
like it'd be spring, Like it'd be like maytime. We
all be hanging out and we play poop dollar. You
(49:48):
el play poop dollar?
Speaker 1 (49:49):
Dude? You're missing out, dude. You guys ever heard poll Dude?
Speaker 2 (49:55):
We would literally so like, well, you take a ship
and then you like take a little bit of it
out and you put it on a dollar, and then
you go across the street and you put it face down,
and then you and the boys, a couple of thirty
packs just.
Speaker 1 (50:10):
Hang out and wait for people to pick up the dollar.
And that's and that's poop dollar, dude, the hockey story.
Speaker 4 (50:18):
Well and the boys.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
Yeah, so me and the hockey boys would just sit there, dude.
It just be like literally me and all those guys
and like a couple of the dudes from the track
ting because I live with track guys in college, and
we just we'd wait and we'd like hide under everything,
and like some old man and his like granddaughter would
be walking by, just enjoying their Saturday afternoon.
Speaker 1 (50:40):
And then old man we.
Speaker 2 (50:41):
Get super greedy. Dude, you get greedy, swipe it up,
poop all over his head. So we'd start yelling at him.
He'd start yelling back at us.
Speaker 1 (50:53):
It was so much fun. I played poop dollars. I
played in Nashville.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
Yeah, just get the cardboard out, we get the get
the film crew out, play poop dollar What do you think?
I know?
Speaker 3 (51:06):
You definitely played invisible rope?
Speaker 1 (51:08):
Yeah, yeah, I played invisible rope.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
Have you played in visible rope? We're like a car
is coming up on like a stop sign, and like say,
me and Taylor out in the middle of the road,
and you're like, by the stop Sidney, come and me
and Taylor act like we're getting this rope set up.
And we stand there and act like we're pulling on
each end of the road and the car comes to
a complete stop. Well, I guess it's not a stop
sign just in the middle of the road. Yeah, wouldn't
be a stop just be like ongoing traffic and you
act like you're pulling this rope and they all stop
(51:31):
and then we you know, you act like you dropped.
Speaker 1 (51:33):
Oh, there's no rope.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
It's invisible losing.
Speaker 1 (51:35):
I would just be shaking a damn kids, what's that?
Speaker 4 (51:41):
Don't they see that there's no rope?
Speaker 2 (51:42):
No?
Speaker 1 (51:43):
But they all they see is two people like just
pulling super hard.
Speaker 3 (51:46):
Yeah. Yeah, and you're like pulling on each side and
they just come to a stop and you drop the rope.
Speaker 4 (51:51):
Hot got you never played that?
Speaker 2 (51:53):
Did you guys have anything in Switzerland? Did you guys
have anything any games like that?
Speaker 3 (51:58):
Any ding? Dunk ditch?
Speaker 4 (52:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (52:01):
What do you call it?
Speaker 3 (52:02):
Over there?
Speaker 2 (52:05):
What do you really call what do we call it?
Speaker 4 (52:09):
Louty ste that's the one you go off? Yah?
Speaker 1 (52:16):
What do you go?
Speaker 4 (52:19):
You a good king? Yeah? I would say so. I was.
Speaker 7 (52:25):
I was always kind of like I knew when there
was time to stop. Like so my mom always told me, like, see,
like I never got in trouble because I always knew
like when to stop.
Speaker 2 (52:35):
But I don't know, you'd be a class clown. I
guess it was time to stop being a class clown.
Speaker 7 (52:41):
U till I knew I was gonna get in trouble.
I was like, Okay, I'm gonna stop.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
He's definitely probably a good dude.
Speaker 1 (52:45):
Di Roma is the best, the nicest guy in the world.
Speaker 3 (52:49):
Didn't get too much trouble.
Speaker 8 (52:51):
I was just gonna ask the difference between uh, like
the transition from Barry trot to uh, you know, love
love you lit Yeah, and what like, how how are
they different coaches?
Speaker 7 (53:06):
Well, I don't know. Trozzi was my first coach. He was,
I mean, he was awesome for me. He's uh, I
don't know if he ever met Rozzi, No, but he's
he was like the best guy ever.
Speaker 4 (53:16):
Like, he was awesome and.
Speaker 7 (53:19):
He was a he was a great coach too, he
was I I only had him for two years, I think,
and he was awesome and I mean he was in
Washington they won the Cup. Yeah, and he's a great coach.
He's been in the league for so long. And I
think there's a lot of similarities. I think Lav's more.
He's he's really intense. He's he's great with pregame speeches.
(53:41):
He gets the boys fired up, which is not easy.
We're playing eighty two games and the coach has to
come in there like every day and say something, and
he's unbelievable. Like he he always finds something to to
get the boys going. And I mean they're in a
lot of ways, they're they're really similar, but they're they're
still a little different, but they're they're great, both great
coaches and like I said, Trotty was my first coach
(54:03):
and he helped me get in the league. So yeah,
they're they're both awesome, but they're definitely a little different.
Speaker 3 (54:11):
What year did you come in the league?
Speaker 4 (54:13):
That was twenty eleven.
Speaker 3 (54:15):
So you're part of the lockout?
Speaker 4 (54:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (54:19):
How was that? What was that like?
Speaker 4 (54:21):
Two years? Two years before the lockout?
Speaker 3 (54:23):
Yeah, so you were a part you were in the.
Speaker 4 (54:25):
I played one year and then the lockout happened.
Speaker 3 (54:28):
Right, What was it like going through the lockout?
Speaker 2 (54:29):
Like, what was that?
Speaker 3 (54:30):
What was that? Yeah?
Speaker 7 (54:32):
It was it was I mean I only played one
year and I got to play in Europe after that,
I played in I played in Switzerland, So you were
able to I went back to my hometown team and
played in vern Yeah, which was which was really good
for me. But there's there's a lot of guys who
didn't play, so they just kind of worked out and
skated on their own and for those guys, it was
it was long.
Speaker 3 (54:52):
Like what was the big reason for the lockout? I
forget was it getting like contracts guaranteed or.
Speaker 7 (54:57):
No, all our contracts are guaranteed. It was more at
the share between players and owners.
Speaker 3 (55:02):
But your contracts were already guaranteed before the lockout. I
got you, I got you. That's always interesting because you
guys went into season with that stuff.
Speaker 4 (55:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (55:09):
Yeah, we we we messed half of the season and
then we started in Channel and played forty eight games.
Speaker 2 (55:14):
Yeah, that's interesting. Yeah, going through a lockout.
Speaker 1 (55:17):
Yeah, did you get paid the same amount?
Speaker 4 (55:20):
You don't get paid?
Speaker 1 (55:20):
Well, I'm saying when you went.
Speaker 4 (55:22):
Back Oh no, no less, Yeah that's a bummer.
Speaker 1 (55:25):
Yeah, you get it.
Speaker 4 (55:26):
It was.
Speaker 7 (55:26):
It was for me it was tough because I only
played one year in the league, so you just want to,
like you just get into the leagues even to play
played play, Yeah, and there's a lockout.
Speaker 4 (55:34):
But for me it was good.
Speaker 7 (55:35):
I mean I got to go back home and play
in the Swiss League, which was good for me. But
there's a lot of guys didn't play, so you.
Speaker 2 (55:41):
Can go and play somewhere else while things are going on.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
Yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (55:44):
That's something that they're able to do that. If the
NFL ever did, like guys are able to do that.
Speaker 1 (55:49):
Well, you would.
Speaker 2 (55:49):
You also wouldn't want to because in the NFL, the
season so short and the injury rate is so hot. True,
you're not gonna go get play for pay on the dollar.
You would get paid like like an AFF or whatever
Candada League or something like that. That's way different. I
don't think I don't think football will ever get to
that point where they have like a minor league like
(56:11):
hockey or baseball or anything like that. It's just because
that's what college is, and it's free, and it's a
billion dollar business that somehow they've the NCAA has gotten
away with for such a long time. Like we you're
a professional athlete, dude, and not a professional I'm sorry,
you're an amateur athlete. And I was getting like twelve
hundred bucks a month and my rent was like five
(56:32):
fifty six hundred bucks, you know, and so like you're
you're playing for nothing and you get you know, free meals.
You can't even have cream cheese on a bagel. It's
a violation. It's just crazy. And so with that and
like you're not. I feel like if you were allowed
to go right from high school to the NFL, then
there would be an opportunity for like a minor league.
But if you already everyone's already going to college, then
(56:54):
like we've got it, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (56:56):
And you only have so much milea jone the tires
anyway in the football career, like you you get banged
up a lot easier, sooner faster if you're playing amateur
right out of so you've got a fifth year senior,
it goes to an amateur league and plays like three years.
Then he's like, what twenty six years old, trying to
be trying to make the minimum more be a rookie. Yeah,
trying to be a rookie.
Speaker 1 (57:14):
I'm twenty seven, like like I got in the league
last year.
Speaker 3 (57:18):
Yeah, and then you what you have the average career anyways,
only like three and a half years is the average
career in the NFL.
Speaker 7 (57:25):
So it's like I feel like that's just a lot
of guys who play and then they can't play, Like
they're really talented, but all of a sudden they don't
play football anymore because there's no league for them.
Speaker 5 (57:34):
Right.
Speaker 3 (57:34):
I think you're talking about after three and a half years.
Speaker 4 (57:36):
Like let's say they're playing college and they don't make
it the NFL, and then what do you do?
Speaker 2 (57:39):
Like you you have to quit pretty much, right, Yeah,
Well you can go different paths, like there are leagues
like the CFL, the Canadian Football League. Yeah, you can
go to there's an arena football league, like the XFL
has been a thing and not been a thing about
forty times.
Speaker 3 (57:52):
They've always been trying these leagues.
Speaker 2 (57:53):
They try a bunch of leagues for guys to get opportunities.
There's a spring league this past year. It was like
four weeks.
Speaker 3 (57:59):
Long, and you would have bought it. It was gonna
potentially be something.
Speaker 1 (58:02):
Yeah, and it just tanked springly be it would probably
be the best bet.
Speaker 4 (58:06):
Yeh.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
Like something that's honestly like that. Oh yeah, go ahead,
Well are you do you need that? Is that another
phone call?
Speaker 2 (58:13):
It's my it's a Redskins strength coach?
Speaker 1 (58:17):
Oh is its weird flex?
Speaker 3 (58:20):
Was gonna say, it's chat.
Speaker 1 (58:22):
It's a really weird thing to say.
Speaker 2 (58:24):
All right, who's Chad Redskins strength coach?
Speaker 3 (58:27):
Weird flex? What the fuck?
Speaker 5 (58:30):
So I got a question if if you're done to
go ahead. So I want to ask about like traveling.
I mean, you're playing eighty two games this season, but
more I want to look at the twenty sixteen Stanley
Cup Playoffs Round one, you're playing Anaheim. That game goes
to seven games. Well, the last four games of that series,
you're going back and forth from Nashville to Anahem, Nashville
(58:50):
to Anaheim. Traveling wise, is that pretty like tough on
you because I mean they're in uh, they're in a
different time zone than that's two different time zone, so
I think puck was dropping here at like nine or
eleven o'clock at night. Then you all have to come
back after games and then play a day after next.
Speaker 4 (59:05):
So yeah, that was that was tough. You're right.
Speaker 7 (59:07):
I mean we like it's a four hour flight every day,
and so we pretty much we played two games there.
I think we won the first two, lost two at home,
and then you play like you play every other day.
So every other day, so you play at home, you
go to bed pretty late because I don't know how
you guys, I can't sleep after games.
Speaker 4 (59:26):
Well, you guys play earlier, which is nice.
Speaker 7 (59:31):
Yeah, we played at seven, so I can't sleep after games,
so you go to bed late, get up, travel four
hours to Anaheim, play the next day, fly back again
four hours again. And then the second round we played
San Jose.
Speaker 5 (59:41):
Hey, and they only played five games the first round.
Speaker 7 (59:44):
Yea, And I remember we played game seven in Anaheim
and the Islands were only playing their second round match,
so we we were like the last first round match
up to finish. So two days later we played in
San Jose. We didn't even go home after the m
series playing San Jose and then when not the saving games,
and that was that was hard. I mean, it's just
(01:00:05):
I feel like traveling is just it's it's hard on
your body.
Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Like, yeah, dude, it is being up in a plane.
How how important or how serious is like the performance
side recovery side for like you guys individually, or how
much of a priority does the team make that Like
when you guys have a quick turn around, like are
they in your face and in your ear about doing
the right things.
Speaker 7 (01:00:25):
To Yeah, yeah recover, Yeah, it's it's for us. It's
all about recovery. Like that's why I said, like we
don't practice much anymore, like even the coaches, like it's
all about the games, like you can practice once in
a while, but it's it's pretty easy. Like the the
days we don't play, it's it's pretty much just to
recover and work on some system stuff. But on that
it's especially like traveling like that, it's huge, like getting
(01:00:45):
getting a lot of water and you getting a lot
of sleep and all that stuff. And I mean, it's
it's probably the most important part in the playoffs filed.
Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
Out is your guys, do you do get your recovery
through a lot of stuff at the facility or do
you source a lot Do guys like kind of source
people around Nashville or cities.
Speaker 4 (01:01:00):
They go to both.
Speaker 7 (01:01:02):
Yeah, we get it through the facility, but a lot
of guys have half their own people for for massages
or treatment.
Speaker 4 (01:01:08):
But yeah, it's a little bit both.
Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
I mean, you know Bobo, do you use Bubbo?
Speaker 4 (01:01:13):
No, you don't know, you're yeah, yeah, I used I
used him one time.
Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
But it's a it's a it's a preference, yeah, right,
I mean getting stuck all the times tough.
Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:26):
I love the ivy stuff. I like that stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
I got like trendmarks, definitely a heroin addict.
Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
You guys, you guys, you can take when you talk
about not sleeping that you take a lot of like
pre workout and some uppers before the game.
Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
Yeah, the boys all about that.
Speaker 4 (01:01:40):
Yeah you got who's got the pre workout? Do you
guys say that?
Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
Yeah, take some pre workout for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:01:47):
You guys doing coffee before games?
Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
Oh yeah, yeah, sau we hit Starbucks on the way
to the stadium.
Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
If we played it in noon, we go like what
seven thirty in the morning. Yeah, we go to the
facility seven thirty already.
Speaker 4 (01:01:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
Well we go cold tub, hot tub, cold tub, hot tub,
like contrast for probably forty five minutes. Yeah, roll out
a little bit and then.
Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
Stop at the Starbucks, get myself in a mil there.
We go, no sugar and just bang some music.
Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
On our way to the facility or going a little.
Taylor got me on mess up because with the Redskins,
our games are in d C. But we would are
where we lived in our practice facility. It was like
an hour away, so I never we never had access
like that. We'd just be in the hotel before a game,
even on home games. So Taylor got me on the
bid of going in the facility like hours before and
it's a lovely dude, have playing for a team that's
in town.
Speaker 4 (01:02:33):
Like, I mean, what time, what time you guys have
to be there.
Speaker 2 (01:02:36):
It's usually if it's two hours before a game starts.
So if it's at noon, you had to be in
the stadium at ten. Yeah, checked in to go out
of your clothes and ship changed, and we have like
a little team meeting, and then you kind of go
about your business like I'll go on the field for
a little bit, kind of do a couple of things,
make sure I feel good, go up and I don't
usually and Ivy. I get Ivy the night before, Yeah,
(01:02:58):
with Bobo because you're just, dude, I can't like I
can't imagining eighty six games and like just skating all
that wear and tearing the legs. But I mean it's
but you get to a certain point of the season.
It's just like at week eight, you're just like, all right,
get myself to the next game. Make sure you feel
good at the next game.
Speaker 7 (01:03:14):
It's almost when you don't play for a couple of days,
you get tight because you like get in the rhythm
of playing every other day and you just keep playing.
Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
That's like people like bye weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
I'm not like I don't know how I would actually
feel about it, But if there was no bye week,
it almost be easier for me because I could just
I could just transition and like just because eventually, like
you take enough hits, your legs get sore enough, like
it just kind of gets stagnant. It's like plateaus and
you're solid. But I don't know, I mean, people might
kill me for not wanting to buy a week get
(01:03:42):
killed out there.
Speaker 4 (01:03:43):
We just got a bye week like three years ago.
Speaker 1 (01:03:46):
Yeah, we at the Full Star Break too, you.
Speaker 7 (01:03:48):
Know, but they started to have a bye week now,
so you get either like three days off after game
or before.
Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
So it's your guys, is bye week's a three day
off thing?
Speaker 4 (01:03:56):
Yeah, three or four days?
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Yeah that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
Yeah, that's that's so much.
Speaker 7 (01:04:02):
It's yeah, it's like with the also game it's like seven.
It's like a week pretty much. But guys love it.
It's like a little break and kind of seas do
the boys go out when hears to Vegas after game?
Speaker 4 (01:04:13):
We did?
Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
Yeah, dude, Vegas will steal a soul. Dude, what hotel
do you guys stay in? Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:04:18):
Blacho? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:04:21):
Yeah, will?
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
Do you know who the Blago is?
Speaker 3 (01:04:23):
Yeah, but yeah, I know where it is.
Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
I feel like because like the Raiders are going to
the Vegas dude, people are gonna lose some paychecks. Things
are gonna go down. Vegas is a tough state. It's
a place that will steal your soul. I'll spend I'll
spend three days there.
Speaker 1 (01:04:43):
I'm like, dude, get me the fuck out of Vegas.
Speaker 5 (01:04:46):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (01:04:46):
Unless you're winning, dude, Well, I mean yeah, but like
sometimes you're just so hungover, you're like, I.
Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
I gotta go home when you guys get their whole
entire life.
Speaker 7 (01:04:56):
Do you guys get there the night before the game? Well,
we don't, they don't have a but you would get
there tonight before games?
Speaker 1 (01:05:02):
Yeah, and guys, will you get there at like four o'clock.
You can go out for a couple hours and go
down what they want.
Speaker 3 (01:05:08):
But you know, like the coaches, everybody would be pretty up.
You know, they're probably be a little more strict.
Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
A little more strict for sure, But like living there,
like outside the strip, there's not a lot like in
Vegas and like really there's nothing.
Speaker 7 (01:05:21):
Yeah, but James Neill played there last year and he
said it was awesome. He loves it like there's so
many nice neighborhoods and like he lift right on a
golf course.
Speaker 4 (01:05:29):
He said, it was pretty nice.
Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
Actually, you play a lot of golf.
Speaker 3 (01:05:32):
That's awesome.
Speaker 4 (01:05:32):
I'm starting to.
Speaker 7 (01:05:33):
Yeah, I started like two years ago, so now I'm terrible,
but getting lessons right now.
Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
It's fun, though, man, Just get out, get some beers, cigars,
play some music.
Speaker 4 (01:05:42):
Yeah. Not take it too serious, I know, but it's
hard not to take it serious.
Speaker 5 (01:05:47):
It is.
Speaker 4 (01:05:49):
Yeah, where do you guys play?
Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
No, I don't go.
Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
I haven't. I haven't played here. I would play with
I would play when I was on the skins all
the time, like in the off season around this time.
But I mean, I'm not that good. I got my
I got my own clubs and stuff, and you'll hit
shots that keep you coming back. Yeah, but I'm not
like some scratch golf or.
Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
Anything like that.
Speaker 4 (01:06:07):
No, I'm terrible.
Speaker 3 (01:06:08):
It's fun though, I enjoy it. I like the camaraderie
around the boys.
Speaker 4 (01:06:11):
And it's nice being outside for five or six hours.
And for sure, just golf. You gotta we gotta get
you into golf.
Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
I say, I don't know, dude, Like I have this
weird thing like you'd come with us.
Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
I just remember, like I grew up poor and now
I'm watching and I watch all those assholes part of
country clubs.
Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
I'm like, I don't want to be a part of that.
Speaker 2 (01:06:31):
I was at a country club a couple, like a
couple of years ago, and the guys like and the
guys like, oh, you should be you should.
Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
Be a member. And I was like, can I just
like this?
Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
And I was wearing a T shirt jim shorts. He goes,
you gotta wear a collared shirt, you gotta wear kakis.
I'm like, get me out of here, dude, I don't
want to be a part of it.
Speaker 1 (01:06:46):
Golf. I had this stupid joke that like golf.
Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
Before I grew up.
Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
Yeah, I don't want to be in a country club.
I don't want to be in a country club. I'll
be a sellout if I ever joined a country club.
Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:06:56):
Don't even want to live on a golf course.
Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
That'd be nice, though, I mean, you're gonna live on
the continent.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
What's that.
Speaker 4 (01:07:01):
I would love to live on the golf of course,
would you? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:07:04):
I think it'd be Where are you gonna live after
you're done playing? Your wife?
Speaker 4 (01:07:09):
She's she's a steady Yeah, it looks like Nashville.
Speaker 1 (01:07:12):
No way. How do you feel? How your family feel
about that?
Speaker 7 (01:07:16):
My mom isn't happy about it, but she should just
come over, I know, bring the over. They love it here,
like their family loves it here. But yeah, like I mean,
we met here and she loves Nashville. I love Nashville.
So we'll see.
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
But have you seen a lot of spots besides Milwaukee
and Nashville? Besides Milwaukee around.
Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
The un.
Speaker 1 (01:07:41):
Like you spent time and not just like flowing for games. Yeah,
not really. There's a lot of private out there, man.
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
I mean you're trying to get them away, not away where.
Speaker 2 (01:07:49):
Yeah, like golf Arizona. Arizona's got great golf. And then California.
I love California. Yeah, I mean you're you're you're that
big sir.
Speaker 4 (01:08:02):
Way better than a country dude.
Speaker 2 (01:08:03):
I don't know, that's a good question because I don't
know what it is about this city. But for some reason,
they love me and I love them back, and I
think it's a great city. And I'm building a house boy,
But uh, I mean, I'm from Arizona. I was born
in California, all West Coast and then my my wife's
from British Columbia, Canada, She's West coast, and so I
(01:08:23):
feel more naturally drawn to that part of the country.
Speaker 7 (01:08:26):
Like like I said, and that's what people were so nice,
Like you come here and everybody's so nice to you,
and like everybody's so open and and they help you out,
and it's I mean, it's been awesome.
Speaker 4 (01:08:37):
Honestly, that's awesome.
Speaker 3 (01:08:38):
Yeah, I would agree with that. Yeah, being in DC
and shit like that, everybody's all about going from A
to B and already not like asshole, but there's just
people prioritize like it's all like business out there.
Speaker 1 (01:08:50):
Dude.
Speaker 2 (01:08:50):
Yeah, dude, Nashville, I don't think anybody has a job. Like, dude,
it's Tuesday and I'm I'm like, drive past the Mumbrian Yeah,
and it's tin roof is packed.
Speaker 1 (01:08:59):
Yeah, you know what I'm hand losers just pat like, yo,
guess you have to go to work. Yeah, Like what's
going on now? It's just so unique?
Speaker 3 (01:09:06):
Did I love it? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:09:07):
I like, but uh about that about that skate dude,
I'm down to go skate.
Speaker 4 (01:09:12):
You're in I'm working right now.
Speaker 1 (01:09:15):
Yeah, we'll do We're done on Thursday.
Speaker 4 (01:09:17):
Okay, so and I'm here.
Speaker 3 (01:09:18):
Oh we do. It's just like, yeah there are football
is done on Thursday. But like all you do in
the summer is just work out. So we have like
a lot of the day free.
Speaker 4 (01:09:26):
Okay, Well, are you good at.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
Skating, dude?
Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
I used to like I used to skate quite frequently. Well,
I just know I have my first date on skates.
Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
Really, Like, I know I'm not gonna be that solid,
So I'm just trying to gauge how something.
Speaker 1 (01:09:37):
I'm gonna be. I'm gonna be trash. It's not like
riding a bike. Dude. If you don't stay on it,
you're gonna be no.
Speaker 4 (01:09:42):
Come on out, come on skate next week. It's letty
to me and Watson out there.
Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
Dude, I'm.
Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
Yeah, get me a stick though, Yeah, alright, alright, alrighty,
I'm gonna I want a bucket to to give me
a good bucket your c CM. Yeah all right, I'm
a Joe Fi guy, but alright, I'll do I want
to do it like one of those old old Joe
I'm like, cut it into a bullet, dude.
Speaker 1 (01:10:03):
I'm on the line up forty sticks and just pick
out the right one. Yeah, you would peek out there
or we're done skating.
Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
Skates, just pick a stick, comp like you don't play.
Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Check it out the bend in the stick. Yeah, listen
a little too stiff, dude, I'm down to get out there.
Speaker 1 (01:10:21):
Yeah, Austin, don't do it?
Speaker 4 (01:10:23):
Yeah, of course, all right. Deal, have you skated.
Speaker 3 (01:10:26):
I've skated before, but like it's like one of those deals.
It's one of those deals where it's like it'd be
a field trip one time a year in Missouri, you
know what I mean. So not that much like if
Taylor and I are doing a face, I was gonna
be comp like, stop moving forward.
Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
I don't know what the fuck you guys want me
to do, like just stay still. Fuck man, dude, I'd
have to take it though. I would have to take
my ankles really like a scrub. Yeah, dude, I be
ankle bending.
Speaker 1 (01:10:50):
Hell, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:10:51):
I'll do whatever it takes.
Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
These flat flippers, dude, I got some flat feet.
Speaker 4 (01:10:54):
Do you have skates? We would have what's your feet size?
Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
Like fourteen or fifteen?
Speaker 3 (01:10:59):
I'm twelve.
Speaker 4 (01:11:01):
Yeah, probably I'm mount Now give me.
Speaker 1 (01:11:04):
Some figure skates, dude. Have you seen the movie goon.
Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Oh you asking everybody this question. The most inspirational sports
movie of all time? Sean William Scott. Have you seen
American Pie Stiffler Cay? So he's in the movie and
it's like a based on true story about a guy
who's an enforcer, but he's like kind of like simple
and he just beats the ship out of guys and
they watch him like he's gonna learn how to skate
(01:11:30):
and stuff like that, and he's wearing figure skates and.
Speaker 3 (01:11:31):
So it's a hockey. It's a hockey.
Speaker 1 (01:11:33):
It's a hockey movie.
Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
Dude hasn't seen it, so it's probably not.
Speaker 1 (01:11:37):
Dude, I watched this movie before every single game. Look
at him.
Speaker 2 (01:11:44):
Oh this is no, no, no, this is the second one.
It's almost trash.
Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
What is this one's back in twenty twelve? This might
be it.
Speaker 1 (01:11:55):
I don't know. We'll let you go after this rum,
but you're gonna you're gonna sit and you're.
Speaker 4 (01:11:59):
Gonna watch this to watch the movie. It's on Netflix.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Never made it the theaters, so it's never made it
to theaters, and it's are you being serious when it's
your favorite sports movie.
Speaker 1 (01:12:09):
I watched this movie every single game before the game.
Speaker 8 (01:12:11):
