Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey guys, and welcome back to another week of geodiaries.
Drummer please, I won Special Forces. So this has been
such a big secret that I have been keeping from
you guys, and I think now you understand why I said.
I am so proud of this show, and this show
(00:25):
was honestly one of my biggest achievements. Special Forces was
the hardest thing that I have ever done and probably
will ever do in my life. And the fact that
I won Special Forces with the amazing Sean Johnson was
honestly so surreal.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
It was incredible.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
I couldn't believe that I actually won.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
And when you guys see me.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Win at the end of interrogation, we both smirked at
each other, but we were also so conf used. We
were like, is this real? We were the last two standing.
We were a little confused, obviously disoriented, so mentally dreamed.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
We didn't know.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
If we won or if there was more to come.
But because the four ds were standing there, we kind
of had a feeling that.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
It was just us left, and.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
It was seriously the best feeling in the world.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Honestly, As each.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Day went on, throughout Special Forces and throughout Selection, I
just kept telling myself to keep going.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
You made it this far.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
You're at day two, you're at day three, you're at
day four, you're at day five, you're at day six.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
You're at day seven, you're at day eight. You have
one more day.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Just keep going. Interrogation was definitely the hardest day because
it was all mental. There was no physical aspect to it,
but you were being mentally drained and tortured. So day
eight was also extremely hard. But what was really fascinating
(02:17):
for me was throughout the course, I didn't start as
the strongest physically. Probably mentally, yes.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
I have always.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
I've been through a lot in my life, and I
would say the mental aspect of it.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Came pretty easy to me.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
But physically I was struggling NFL athletes, NBA Olympic gymnasts,
World Cup soccer players, like there was high competition and
they were all more fit than me. Just endurance wise.
I could definitely handle more of the strength side when
(03:00):
it comes to physical activity, but running and cardio and
endurance is definitely my weakness. So within those first couple
of days, like we were running a lot, doing so
much and you guys only saw the half of it.
Like that's why I feel like these Special Forces episodes
(03:21):
should really be two hours long, because you guys just
got to see a.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Lick of it, Like there was just so much more
that took.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Place, and just really seeing the challenges through and through
I think would have been so cool, and to even
just see our banter more because we've really bonded so much.
But as each day went on, I got stronger physically.
(03:53):
So by day eight, when most of the people were
crashing and really like depleted and like we're so fatigued.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
I was at my strongest.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
So day eight, we're basically going up this mountain that
looks like an ice cream cone.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Each layer of the cone we have to pick up
another piece of equipment to bring it to the top.
It was.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
The tires, then it was the ropes, then it was
the chains.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I might be missing one, but I think that was
pretty much it. So I finished that.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Challenge first out of the girls, and I was shocked
because Sean was a beast the entire time. She was
the person I looked up to. She was also the
person that motivated me a lot. She kept telling me
to keep going, to keep running. Her advice to me
(04:51):
was to go in the front of the line because
I'll set the pace when the rest of the team
is jogging.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Because I was shorter.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
And and I didn't like to run. I didn't have
the great I didn't have the best endurance. So she
gave me a lot, a lot of advice and she
is just the sweetest, sweetest person in the world. But
when we were completing this challenge on day eight, which
was right before we went into interrogation, I couldn't believe it.
(05:22):
She was breaking down and I was like, how am
I getting up this mountain before Sean right now? I
was like scared. I was like, there's no way, Like
Sean is a beast, she is the best.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
And I made it up that mountain.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
I was the first girl out of me, Sean and Brie,
and that felt good.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
So that's when I knew.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Each day throughout the course, I was getting stronger and stronger,
but my mental aspect was always there. I never really yes,
of course I thought about quitting, but I never was
gonna quit. Like I knew that I never was really
gonna quit Special Forces unless they pulled me out or
(06:09):
unless I got medically withdrawn.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
So then it's day eight.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
That night we go into interrogation where we go on
our mission to find our safe house.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
It's me Randall and Andrew.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Randall and Andrew were the two guys on the course
who I connected with the most. Randal, we just kind
of like bonded from day one. He was just so sweet,
so nice. And then Andrew, who is Shawn's husband, You
could only imagine like he is the nicest guy you
will ever meet in your life.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Just such a gentleman, so sweet, cares about everybody else.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Doesn't give himself nearly enough credit because he helped all
of us.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Get through this course.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Really they both did, but he just doesn't give himself
enough credit. So we're on our escape inn of Aid mission.
We know that this is obviously leading us into interrogation.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
The goal was to make it to the safe house.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
We had a map, we had to find certain clues.
There were so many things that happened, Like guys, we
were walking and running for six hours. We got dropped
off in the middle of nowhere as like sun was
setting and we got taken.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
At twelve am.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
It was insane, like legs were shaking. By this point,
we were we were dead. During that we saw like
a dead fox in the desert, like like a dead.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Fox or a dead coyote.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Like there were just crazy things that happened during that
escape and of aide challenge. Then it kind of came
to the point where we were just like, okay, where's
the safe house. The producers then kind of, you know,
told us, all right, guys, it's getting late. Like we
were in the middle of nowhere, like we could have
gone ian, Like we were literally in the middle of
(08:19):
an nowhere at twelve o'clock at night, like anything really
could have happened to us, Like we were in the
middle of a village and the we were in like
we were where civilians were, but we were in like
the woods outside.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Of the village now.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
And then the producers kind of said, or guys, like
it's happening.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
You're about to get captured.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Even though we knew the capturing was coming, it was
still so scary, Like I see Billy straight ahead. Then
I see all these random people with dogs and they
were rough, like they put us to the ground. Then
they put these bags over our heads, and that's where
(09:01):
I heard Randall tap out.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
I wanted to scream, like Randall no, and.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
He left, And because it felt so real, like it
really felt like we were being taken. We get back
to base. We kind of knew we were in base.
What was not shown, Guys, we were listening. We got stripped,
had to put on these like hazmat suits. Basically, we
were listening to horrible noises for twelve hours, stuck in
(09:35):
stress positions. So hands up against the wall, standing crisscross.
Apple saw us sitting on the ground with your hands
on your head, like we were stuck in the worst
positions for twelve hours, with little breaks in between, like
when we got pulled with the interrogators for maybe ten minutes.
Speaker 2 (09:57):
Made it seem like we were with the interrogators for while,
but like we weren't. We were in.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Those rooms ninety percent of the in that room listening
to those noises ninety percent of the time, and the
noises were horrible nails on a chalkboard, babies crying, pigs
getting slaughtered like you name it.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
We had earphones on listening to these.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Noises with the black bags over our head and blackout
goggles for twelve hours. We could ask for water, we
could go to the bathroom. I was drinking so much
water so that we could get up and go to
the bathroom. But it's not like the bags were not
on our heads. We had our hands like this, being
escorted to the bathroom like but it just felt good
(10:44):
to get up and walk and drink water like I
asked for it constantly.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
But the noises.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
It came to a point where I literally was falling
asleep listening to the noises because I was so delirious
at that point. So we got interrogated. There were things
that happened during interrogation. Me and Andrew's story was that
we came to Morocco to refurbish the soccer fields for
(11:17):
the children because Morocco was just it was so sad,
but they are just they're the countries in poverty, like
it was. It was just terrible to see. So that
was our story that we came from the US to
refurbish the soccer fields and give these kids a better
(11:37):
place to play. So basically, like during the Escape and
of Aid challenge, we were captured because we were in
army clothes, so these interrogators were trying to crack us
on why we were in Morocco, and we could not
tell them that we were here getting paid by special Forces.
Speaker 2 (12:01):
So we had to make up a story. Me, Randall
and Andrew's story.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Was that we came to Morocco to refurbish the soccer
fields for the children in need. Now that Randall left,
this was me and Andrew's story. We could not let
up that we were getting paid by special Forces to
be here, so the interrogators were trying to get that
out of us.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Andrew was just.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
A horrible liar, and I guess that's like the best thing.
He literally got kicked off the course because he couldn't lie,
and they just try to get in your head. That's
why they were saying me and oh, so you and
Andrew were having an affair and all these crazy things
that it just obviously is not true. And then they
(12:47):
made Andrew dunk me in Sean's head into the cold plunge,
which was lukewarm water, and the screams that they played
in the finale episode of Me and Sean Underwater that
never happened.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
And you guys saw me and Sean. There was no emotion. No,
we were dead, like like we were.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Just yeah, okay, And if anyone's gonna dunk us, we're
so glad it's Andrew.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Like we knew it was all a part of the game.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
So then Andrew gets kicked off for not being a
good liar. Cody, you know, they wanted him because of
his story to save me, Brie and Sean, because of
obviously his story and he how he used to be
I'm a polygamist, but now he's a monogamist and just
(13:39):
kind of you know, the story that is behind Cody.
I think the you know, this was Fox's way of
trying to actually make Cody look good, and they were.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Like, what are you going to do to save these women?
What are you going to do for so these women
aren't tortured anymore, and he didn't know what to do.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
So he stayed silent and he failed. So that's why
he got kicked off. Brie I couldn't believe it because
she could have won with me and Sean, and you
know what she did.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
She did win. She made it.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
She literally left ten minutes before interrogation ended, and I
think at that point she was so delirious she didn't
know if she was if that was the time to
admit that she was in the Special Forces, or if
it wasn't. But we were informed this time it's different.
Do not admit that you are in the Special Forces.
(14:34):
We are going to come and save you. So then
Brie admitted that she was there with the Special Forces
and she left. Then it was me and Sean.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
So me and.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Seawan never admitted that we were here with Special Forces.
We stuck to our story and we won.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Special Forces. You do not get a prize for winning.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
We all got a set rate, so no matter what,
you get the same amount of money if you stay
for a day or stay the whole time, which I
don't love because I feel like if there was a
prize at the end, more people would fight longer to stay.
But when you're there and you want to stay, it's
(15:31):
like a self pride thing. Like I didn't even care
about the money at that point because no matter what,
you're going to get it, so it doesn't really matter.
But I wanted to win this course for myself and
prove it to myself, and it was the best thing.
Speaker 2 (15:48):
I have ever done in my entire life.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
So we won, and we look like me and Sean
we were rolled around in the mud. We were They
made us do so many things, roll around in the mud,
roll around in the sand, like we looked horrible. Our
hair was matted in mud. After we won, we had.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
To go to.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
This little like area where we got on side by
sides at the DS's and that was kind of like
our outro to the to us winning. Me and Sean
on the back of the side by sides at the
DS's and they were awesome. We all cracked open a
beer together. But before we got there, DS Billy looked
at Me and Sean and goes, Jesus, you guys gotta
(16:37):
clean yourselves up, and we're.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Like, really, Billy, like what do you want us to do?
Speaker 1 (16:44):
All of our stuff was out of the barracks, like
we didn't have anything, so we're just like trying to
wash our hair in the sink and like slick it
back as best as we could. We looked horrible. We
looked like beaten down. Oh my god, so bad. We
had that outro scene. Before getting to that scene, we
had to speak with psychologists.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
The psychologist on site.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
And you know, they told us that they were going
to do, you know, a month check in, just check
in how we're check in on how we're doing.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
And Sean and I both kind of felt this way.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
We were totally fine after Special Forces and I think
it was because we got that validation by the DS
like we made it. We made them proud we did this.
And I think for the people who leave early or
don't finish the course, they regret it instantly. But because
Sean and I finished the course and got that validation
(17:43):
from the DS, I was perfectly fine. After Special Forces
had I've had a couple dreams that like I'm going
back into selection, but nothing that was like traumatic. After
the meeting with the psychologist, we went into the vehicles
to go to the site where we were doing our
outro for the show, and I got my phone. I
(18:04):
called my mom and dad, and I called my mom
first and I was like, I want Special Forces and
she was crying, screaming, saying how she knew it. Then
I called my dad, and then I called Christian and
everyone was just so fricking proud.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Of me, Like everyone couldn't believe it.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
They like saw they saw me like I had a
cut on the top of my forehead. I think I
had a cut on the bottom of my chin.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Like it was the.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Best feeling of my entire life, and that has to
be my proudest moment.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
So me and Sean did our outro video.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
We felt like I felt like the coolest person ever,
and we rode off with the DS on the side
by sides.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
We made our way back to the.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Hotel before heading to the airport. The next day, I
took a two hour shower. The dirt and everything that
came off my body, Guys, you don't even want to know.
The whole shower floor was filled with dirt. Like, I
can't even talk about it. I showered for two hours,
and then we met up with everybody. Randall, Sean, Andrew, Brie, Cody,
(19:21):
they all were at that hotel because they all had
left just you know, Randall left that night at twelve am,
and Brie, Cody, Andrew, they all left that same day.
Me and Sean just made it the twelve hours through interrogation,
so we were able to see everybody at the hotel.
After we all had some wine and just talked and
(19:44):
it was awesome. Me and Brie were actually on the
same flight home, and we were so happy about it.
So we rode to the airport together. We're in the airport.
We both bought something because we were like, we deserve this.
We both bought sunglasses. I had my hand cream because
my looked disgusting.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Guys.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
I can't wait to post my travel blog home from Morocco.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
You guys will see my hands.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
They looked like like worse than prunes, like dried up.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Like I can't I can't even tell you.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
But I made it home and I was so happy
I got to make it home with Brie and I
walked through my door and my mom had this huge
banner that said Special Forces Winner with a bunch of
BA wounds and it was so cute.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
It was amazing to be home.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
But I just want to give a big shout out
to the DS again and everything and everything that they
did for me. You could tell during this show their
respect for me and their respect for me really grew,
and it was so nice to see that they actually
liked me. And I couldn't have done this course without
(20:56):
you guys, and without you guys pushing me and really
puts me every day. I really want to say thank
you so much to our US military. You guys are amazing,
and thank you for all that you do for our
country every single day and all that you sacrifice.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
And I want to thank this.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Course for showing me that and showing me what our
country does for us every single day. Again, thank you
so much to the DS. You guys have seriously changed
my life and it was an honor to do this course.
Thank you guys so much for watching me on Special Forces.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Love you guys. Bye,
