Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back. Hey, hey, hey, hey, stop it.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Okay, this is serial Killers. Welcome to Serial Killers.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
So I don't know the last two episodes have been
unhinged where hosts were not here and guests were filling in.
I know last week Gandhi and Diamond were with Andrew
because he couldn't schedule things properly with me. Today he
could not record, and today as we're recording, this happens
to be bringing your kid to work day.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
So my kid's here. Hi, it's Cooper.
Speaker 3 (00:34):
Yeah, she's been on this podcast a couple of times before.
This is serial Killers. By the way, it's the podcast
where we eat cereal and we let you know how
it is so you can decide whether you want to
buy it or not. Let's get rolling, Cooper, because I
know you got to get back to.
Speaker 2 (00:47):
School, so I want to keep you on time.
Speaker 3 (00:51):
Garrett and I actually did the other flavor of this
cereal a couple of weeks ago. This is Annie's Cookie Crunch,
and that is a General Mill cereal, but this is
under the Annie's name. You know, it's the the Bunny.
You've seen the bunny on the mac and Cheese, and
you've seen the bunny on the fruit snacks and you've
seen the bunny and all kinds of other products around
(01:13):
the store, but this is their cereal. We did the
the birthday cake one, I believe a couple of weeks ago.
This is original Annie's Cookie Crunch, and they look like
they are going to be little cookie crisp cereals.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
It's a vibe.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
I have a feeling that I'm not going to understand
any of the lingo on this episode. That's like the
words that you use, that the weird, the weird kid words.
What's like, what's like the big what's the big like
kid word? Now that that parents don't understand because six
seven is done? What's like what what are you saying now?
(01:48):
Are you still saying cap no no?
Speaker 1 (01:51):
I of yeah, six seven's kind of done.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Well, what's the new thing?
Speaker 1 (01:59):
I actually don't know there's a new one after six seven?
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Yeah, But you say all kinds of weird stuff that
I don't understand, Like I know it's see okay. So
as a parent, I think a lot of the stuff
that you could say is stupid. But on the flip side,
when I was your age, we used to say a
lot of dumb stuff too, and our parents, like, why
why are you.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Saying these things?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:19):
I mean I never really said like fresh and fat
and word those words from like the seventies and eighties anyway.
So let's all right, you know what, so you will
you can describe this cereal in like it looks darker
than and kids speak.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
No, no, no, you can't try it yet. Do you know
the rules?
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Here's just Cooper is lactose intolerant, kind of like when
you were really when you were very young, you would
spray diarrhea everywhere if you had ice cream milk or whatever.
The whip cream incident. If you don know what we're
talking about, you can go to YouTube and look for
you know, whip cream horror.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Please don't.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
I'll leave it at that.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
He traumatized.
Speaker 3 (03:01):
All right, So we're gonna use lacktaid two percent calcium.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Enriched milk because protein.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
No calcium.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
They have a protein product, they have a protein product,
they have a calcium product.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Well, it's all about the protein, okay.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
So a little bit of two percent milk give you
guys a little bit of.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
A smart Oh my god, how come you all do this?
Speaker 4 (03:25):
So it smells pretty bad? Honestly, I'm not feeling the smell.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
It smells just like cookie cresp I'm not sure if
you have an issue with.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Your nose today.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
It looks darker than cook crisp. But let's try it three.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
It's very similar, but to Cookie cresp I like it.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
This one's a little less sweet.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Honestly, Well, it's supposed to because it's supposed to be
a little bit healthier for you. Because it's Annie's.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
I rate it.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
We bowled five three balls out of five.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
I'm gonna give it four balls and a spoon. I
think it's really good. This is if you want to
feel a little bit better about yourself eating cookies for breakfast.
I would go here. Thank you General Mills. I'm pretty
sure they sent us this box.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
Great product. Five balls.
Speaker 3 (04:19):
No, no, we do honest reviews here at Cooper Oh sorry.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
It's still three, but thank you General Mills. This is
a great item. It just could be elevated a little bit.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Filling the blanks on the back. No, let's not do that.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Andy gets mad. So Andy's was founded in nineteen eighty nine.
How old were you.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Do? The math? Negative? What I was?
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Negative? Forty one?
Speaker 3 (04:46):
Okay, I'm sad for you and your generation.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Sorry, negative thirty five.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
I don't even know if that's right? Is it? All right?
Speaker 3 (04:56):
So with three balls yet, you're going to finish the
whole thing.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
I seen my mom are kind of good. Three balls
and four spoons, that.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Works, No, bro, You've listened to this podcast for quite
some time. It's three balls and a spoon or four balls.
A spoon is a half a ball.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
So i'll do I'll down three balls and a spoon, three.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Balls and a spoon. Four You know how it works.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
You listened to this podcast a thousand times and you've
been on it two if you're dying, but you've been
on it, right.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
He watches his own podcasts.
Speaker 2 (05:33):
Set that in listen, ma'am?
Speaker 1 (05:35):
All right?
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Next, all right, I'm gonna oh you looked already, close
your eyes, and when you tell me what cereal it is,
don't look. Seriously, don't cheat, don't cheat. This is a
store brand of a popular cereal. And if you're watching
on YouTube, that's tough to open. If you're watching on YouTube,
(05:57):
I'm gonna show you what it is.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Okay, hold on coop.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
Based off the sound effect.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Yeah, okay, I think here's a frosted flake dupe you think.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
It's a frosted flake dupe.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
So you guys say dupe, right, that's dupe. No, come on, bro,
why would you do that? You just ruined the whole experiment.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
No, I didn't you did. I didn't see it, Okay.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
I understand whatever, Dude, Seriously, I didn't want you to look.
I wanted you to just try it without looking at
the because I kind of said it anyway. Here, just
take your just forget it, bro, you already ruined it.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Guys, we're going to do it the next one because
my dad's being me.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
No, well, the next one is not a store brand
of something. This is you know what this is now exactly.
They are a little bit lighter, they're almost they're almost
white compared to your Kelloggs rice crispies. They're doing a
little a bit of the what you can't say, snap
(07:02):
crackle pop. So it has to be like, I don't know, snoop,
there are little black pieces in there.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
I don't know what that is. It's like a burnt things.
It's okay.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
It doesn't really taste like rice crispies. And they are
soggy almost instantly.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Oh my god, it's soggy.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
I don't think that deserves an Uh, it's not. It's
not horrific. It does taste a little odd. It's definitely
not a Rice Crispies. I feel it's just a generic,
cheap knockoff that I will give two bowls and a spoon.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
It's okay.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
I'm wondering what the rice Crispy trees. I'm sorry, the
Crispy rice treats would taste like. If you look at
the back, there's recipes for Crispy rice treats. Can't say
Rice Krispy. It's gotta be Krispy Rice.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
I rate it tubles because it is not like can
you get on the microphone, bro, that's how.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
That's how it works a.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Two bowl because let me explain why. Because it tastes good.
But it's just it's missing that sweet. And we can
actually have some statistics here. So the sugar is only
four grams.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Of sugar, that's good.
Speaker 4 (08:12):
And if you compare it, which my dad doesn't have
a normal box, but if you compare it to write
Krispy box, it probably has like fifteen.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
No, no, not at all. You can't say something like
that because it's not true. It probably has pretty much
the equivalent of nutrition facts.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
It's just it's just.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
A too soggy, like it mine cereal. Guys, Look, it's
already soggy.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Okay, so two bowls.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Sorry, great, all right, we'll be back right after this
with cereal number three.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
And we're back.
Speaker 3 (08:45):
Okay, you're supposed to give it a little bit of
a pause because Andy has to like put the thing
in there.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Oh, but we're back.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
This is Serial Killer is the podcast where we talk
about cereal. This next one came from our pal Matt.
It's farmer Matt in Pennsylvania. No, you can look. You
can look because there's no there's really no equivalent to
the cereal. We've done a couple of puffin cereals before
in the past, back in the day. Matt points out
that it was Barbara's. It was from Barbara's and you know,
we had a thing with Barbara back in the day.
(09:12):
And apparently Post Consumer Brands has purchased this since and
it is now a post serial I mean, is that
what is that?
Speaker 2 (09:21):
What he stutus?
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Do we have a malfunction?
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Does that mean there's no brand?
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Well, no, Post doesn't want you to know that they
make this on the side it says Post Consumer Brands LLC.
So it is a it is a post cereal. So
Barbara has been removed from the box. The puffin is there.
We did a chocolate peanut butter one back in the day.
Puffins were never very friendly to us. I don't believe
(09:48):
See these look pretty large. Oh, they smell like peanut butter.
They look like actually more of a pillow cereal, like
a crave. But there's nothing on the inside of these.
These are just puffed.
Speaker 2 (10:02):
Cereal. Hence puffins.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
No, no, no, did we get a new copudy Otherwise it tarnishes.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
The taste cereal rules. You guys would understand.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Well it is, so we're gonna hit that with a
little bit of two percent lackted milk. Again, this is
puffins peanut butter cereal. Thank you, farmer Matt.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
We appreciate you. Farmer Matt, and I will come to
your farm.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
We want to come to the farm. He's in Pennsylvania.
Gonna be a nice.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
Drive, guys. These are a massive you're.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Pretty big one. It has an odd crunch.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Well, it felt like the wheat cereal.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
The wheat cereal.
Speaker 1 (10:43):
Wheat.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
No, it does have a little bit of an odd aftertaste.
I'm getting the peanut butter.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Yeah, not cream wheat. It called the orange box.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
I don't know what we're talking about.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
The orange box of.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
The wheat, the wheat it's like the wheat frame of rice.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Yeah, I'm getting that vibe. But I crunch it.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
How do you have that's a hot cereal?
Speaker 4 (11:06):
But by the orange box wheaties, Yeah, wheaties. It has
that same crunch vibe to me.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Yeah, it's got nothing to do with wheaties, wheaties or flakes.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
That's cool, It's all right. I don't I don't there.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
I have not had anything that this reminds me of.
This isn't okay cereal. It has a little bit of
a weird after taste that the peanut butter is. Okay,
I can't give this more than two bowls in a
spoon because it just has an interesting, little weird aftertaste.
Cooper apparently likes it.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
I mean, it reminds me of the what's that it
reminds me of the peanut butter checks.
Speaker 3 (11:48):
Okay, I don't see it, but I got you.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
But yeah, I actually don't hate this.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
But the aftertaste, as my dad said it, it isn't
It kind of affects it a lot, but I'll give it.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Three bowls from Cooper two balls in a spoon for me.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Andy. Please get your butt back here as soon as possible.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
Miss you, Andy, And until we see you, then say crunch, Cooper, crunch,
all right, you're beat off? Just to beat off, no
crunch it will so okay. So you could say that,
what does that mean?
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Oh yeah, hey guys, So it's a little booper segment.
So oo woo is just like ooh, like just a
little cutie.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
It's just a sound.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
All right, we're gonna cut by
