Speaker 1 (00:00):
Crime Alart hourly update, breaking crime news Now. I'm Nicole Parton.
Authorities in Arkansas are looking into the tragic shooting deaths
of a woman and her two young children at their home,
coinciding with her divorce being final from her doctor husband.
The Sebastian County Sheriff's Office reported that they conducted a

(00:20):
welfare check at approximately nine thirty am on Wednesday at
a beautiful home in a gated area located on First
Avenue in Bonanza. That's a small town near the Oklahoma border.
Upon arrival, law enforcement knocked on the door but received
no response. Two individuals working at the home allowed officers inside,

(00:41):
where they discovered a forty year old woman and her
twin children dead. Charity Biellis and her two children had
been murdered. It was evident that all three had sustained
gunshot wounds. The police stated. Autopsies are planned to determine
the precise cause of death for the victims. Search warrants
have been issued and executed, with additional warrants expected as

(01:05):
the investigation progresses. Interviews have started, with more to follow.
Information is still being collected. Deputies said the identities of
the two children both six years old, have not been released.
While no arrest have been made at the time, local
news sources indicate that BLUs was in the process of
divorcing her husband. The couple, both of whom are well

(01:27):
known in the community, had just attended a court hearing
two days before the tragic discovery. On the same day
they were found dead, her husband's attorney fouled a motion
to dismiss the divorce case. Documents obtained by local CBS
affiliate KFSM revealed that Biella's husband had been arrested in
February for choking her in front of the children. He

(01:49):
pleaded guilty to third degree battery in October and received
a one year suspended sentence along with a fine of
fifteen hundred dollars. Charity b Ellis filed for divorce in Mars,
citing this incident as the reason for seeking full custody
of her children. It remains unclear whether she achieved this
in the divorced settlement. One day after that final divorce decree,

(02:13):
she's found dead. Her father, Randy Powell, expressed his belief
that her husband is responsible for the death. Here's what
he had to say to local authorities.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
UH my son in law choked my daughter in front
of her children, drug her down the steps, and he
was a restlessman. I had to contact the sheriff in
another county that I know through high school to get
him to even confirm that my daughter was dead. They
would not even confirm to me that my daughter and
grandchildren were dead.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
The victim's father, Randy Powell, continued by saying, quote, there's
nobody else that had any reason to harm her and
those babies but him, and that was only for financial
gain and out of hatred in the fact that she
would have the children. Arrest have been made in police
say the investigation is ongoing or Crime Injustice news after

(03:05):
this and now to Louisiana, where a large scale search
is currently in progress for an escaped prisoner following a
daring jail break involving him and two accomplices who removed
concrete blocks from a wall at a jail. Reports from
the Associated Press indicate that law enforcement, including detectives and

(03:28):
SWAT teams, are actively searching for twenty four year old
Keith Eli, who has been on the run for three
days since the trio escaped from the Saint Landry Parish jail,
located approximately one hundred and fifty miles north of New Orleans.
Saint Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Grudeaux emphasized that they're committed

(03:49):
to capturing Eli, who is facing charges of second degree murder.
We will relentlessly pursue Keith Eli and would prefer for
him to surrender peacefully, the sheriff said. Eli's escape partners
included twenty four year old Jonathan Javon Joseph, who was
recaptured on December five after a brief chase, and twenty
six year old Joseph Allan Harrington, who tragically took his

(04:13):
own life with a hunting rifle on December four after
police found him at a nearby residence. Port Barr Police
Chief Dion Bordeaux noted that officers attempted to coax Harrington
out of his hiding using a loud speaker as he
faced multiple serious charges, including home invasion in burglary. Joseph
was found hiding in a storage shed after authorities received

(04:35):
a tip off. He is facing various charges such as
rape and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
According to Sheriff Goudreaus, the three men created an escape
route by removing blocks from a deteriorating section of the
jel wall, using sheets to help them lower themselves down
to the ground. In response to the escape, and internal

(04:57):
investigation has been launched, with jail supervisors saying they are
on high alert. Notably, this is not the first escape
from this facility. Another inmate fled in October before being
recaptured by the police department, as noted by local media
outlet KADN. However, parish President Jesse Ballard has challenged the

(05:18):
sheriff's assertions regarding the jail's structural integrity. In a Facebook
post dated December six, he stated, the claims about crumbling
walls and rusting cell door locks are unfounded. The parish
jail does not have these structural problems and an I
invite any sheriff in our district to come take a look.
This incident follows a notable escape in May, when ten

(05:41):
inmates from Orland's Parish managed to break free through a
hole behind a toilet, leaving behind a mocking message on
the wall, too easy lol. For the latest crime and
