She claimed a filthy, hooded stranger barged into her apartment,
violently threw her to the floor, and sexually assaulted her.
To back up the terrifying lie, she handed detectives a
photo of the so called intruder chillingly seated on her

living room couch. But the only thing that broke into
Brooke Taylor Chenault's apartment was the digital deception she concocted.
The thirty two year old mom of two has now
been convicted of filing a false police report after her
shocking sexual assault claim was exposed as a viral social

media scam, a prank born from a Google search and
a malicious chat GPT prompt. Ashley Lamardo, a public information
specialist for Saint Petersburg Police Department, spoke to Fox thirteen News.
One thing to do something for fun, It's another when
you involve officers and the police. Chanault dialed nine to

one one, unleashing a massive life or death response. Seven
police officers, a detective, six emergency rescue personnel, and a
forensic technician scrambled to her Saint Pete pad they found
no sign of forced entry, no struggle, and no evidence

of a crime. Instead, they were shown a picture by
Chenault of a grim faced, white male in a stained
jacket staring blankly from her sofa. The image was the
immediate undoing of the entire hoax. A detective familiar with
digital trends instantly recognized the face. It was the infamous

AI homeless man from a viral TikTok challenge, where board
users type prompts like put a homeless guy on my
couch into two image generators, screenshot the result, and scare
their loved ones to death. A quick check confirmed the fraud.
The exact image of the drifter matched dozens of viral reels,

with the original file traced to a deleted folder on
Chinalt's phone, dated days before she ever called the cops.
Cornered by the digital evidence, Chanalt finally cracked the motive
for tying up critical emergency resources a pitiful cry for attention.

She confessed to also dealing with depression and not really
sleeping well. She then admitted to feeding chat gpt the
prompt and invented the entire horrific story to go with it.
On December first, Chanalt stood in Panela's County court pleading
no contest to the misdemeanor of falsely reporting a crime.

Chanalt has been placed on probation and ordered to pay
a fine. The viral prank has led to false nine
to one one calls all over the country, with police
departments warning to please not join in with the trend
as it can drain resources from real crimes. Also, making
a false report is a crime and it can have

father turned judge, jury and executioner in a bloody ambush,
plunging a knife into a convicted child sex offender seventeen

times and leaving him bleeding out on the ground after
the creep made a vile remark about his young daughter.
Tad James Garul, thirty two, is now facing a lifetime
behind bars after he planned the attack. Copsay Wellington Police
Department Sergeant Kevin Sacamano spoke to Fox thirteen News after

a brief interview, he did admit that he did indeed
assault our victim. Please don't take the law into your
own hands like this. Please contact authorities anytime you need us.
Gruel lured the forty five year old registered predator, who
had previously served five years for the sexual abuse of
a child, to a secluded shed behind a local business
on Carbon Avenue, pulled a blade and unleashed a ferocious,

premeditated assault. Garrul was subsequently arrested and booked into the
Carbon County Jail on a first degree felony charge of
attempted murder. The rage fueled incident reportedly began though three
days earlier, at the Wellington Post Office on Main Street.
The victim I died as a Level two sex offender,

crossed paths with Garul and allegedly made quote inappropriate and
suggestive comments end quote about the dad's minor daughter, who
was not even present at the time. Rattled, Garrul returned
home and immediately looked up the man on Utah's sex
offender registry. The revelation of the man's criminal status ignited

a chilling three day period of planning, cops say. Instead
of calling the authorities, Garul texted the predator inviting him
for a walk to get some food. The pair met
up and seconds later the ambush was underway, Garul confessed
to stabbing the man between seventeen and twenty times in
the torso, arms and legs. As the victim lay gurgling

in the snow fighting for his life, Garrul allegedly leaned
in close and delivered a chilling warning, saying, quote, think
again before making comments about my daughter. Quote. The victim,
despite his catastrophic injuries, including punctured organs and severe blood loss,
managed to stagger to a nearby home for help, and

was life flighted to Salt Lake City Trauma Center, where
he remains in critical but stable condition. Garul he did
not run when officers knocked on his door that night.
He confessed without hesitation, telling detectives quote, I intended to
kill him end quote to protect his daughter. He even

reportedly re enacted the slang at the blood soaked scene.
Locked up without bail, Garul faces attempted murder and pending
aggravated assault charges. His next court date is January tenth,
and finally talk about a profound betrayal of the badge.

Long Beach resident and West Covina, California cop Jose Garcia,
thirty eight, allegedly turned his patrol car into a personal atm,
hitting drivers for cash right in the middle of routine
traffic stomps. The shady shakedowns started in September of twenty

twenty four. In one brazen move, Garcia reportedly pulled driver over,
rifled through his wallet, and allegedly pocketed six hundred bucks.
He's also accused of swiping a one hundred dollars bill
from a passenger's backpack and taking three hundred dollars directly
from a center console in separate incidents. Garcia was hit

with felony counts including grand theft by embezzlement and misappropriation
of public funds, and of course, the police department put
him on leave. He tried to pull over the law
