Speaker 1 (00:00):
Crime Alart, hourly update, breaking crime news Now. I'm Jennifer Gould,
a sixteen year old vacationer just proved that sometimes a
joke really can blow up in your face, especially when
it involves a packed spirit airlines flight and terrifying balm fears.
What his mother insists was an innocent attempt at humor

(00:22):
about his masculinity plunged Flight thirteen thirty two into pure chaos,
forcing it to screech to a halt on a deserted
runway and nearly derailing its journey from Fort Lauderdale to
Kansas City. Here's the prosecutor in court. There was one
at statement, I have a bomb in my pocket. But
the problem is it doesn't say where this was said.

(00:45):
Was this on the plane, was in the airport, was
just on the way to the airport. The incident began
as the airbus prepared for takeoff. The young man, whose
name is being withheld due to his age, allegedly cracked
a gag about, as you heard, having a quote unquote
bomb in his pocket, while his family now claims it
was just slang between friends. A woman sitting nearby overheard

(01:08):
the horrifying words quickly alerted other passengers and vigilant flight attendants,
who immediately feared a genuine security threat. The cockpit instantly
relayed the alarming message, sending shock waves through air traffic
control and turning a routine departure into a terminal nightmare.

(01:28):
The packplane was immediately ordered to a desolate corner of
Fort Lauderdale Airport, far from terminals and other aircraft. As
emergency protocols kicked in. Bracing for a potential explosion, Broward
County Sheriff Softyists deputies swarmed the aircraft, boarding swiftly to
confront the teen, who was seen being escorted off the plane,

(01:51):
reportedly sporting a dainty white shell necklace. Once authorities confirmed
there was no actual explosive device, collective sigh of relief
swept through the airport. However, the ordeal was far from
over for the passengers, who were forced to deplane for
further security checks before the flight could finally depart, hours

(02:13):
behind schedule for Missouri. The teen now faces serious charges
including criminal mischief over one thousand dollars and making a
false report of a bomb or explosive. He appeared in
court via video link, beaming in from a construction site,
where his father, Philip Schmidt, pleaded for leniency, insisting his

(02:34):
son was quote acting as an immature sixteen year old
end quote. Spirit Airlines estimates the incident caused a staggering
fifty thousand dollars loss. The teen, who was vacationing in
Florida with friends, remains in juvenile custody, awaiting a psychological evaluation.
More Prime and Justice News after this. In a chilling confession,

(03:01):
a thirty eight year old New York man, driven by
a perverse sense of guilt after allegedly murdering his current wife,
traveled hundreds of miles to stalk and brutally stab his
ex wife, telling police quote she, unlike the first victim,
deserved it end quote. Timothy Taylor is now facing decades
behind bars for a cross state killing spree that exposed

(03:25):
a depraved mind and left two families shattered. This family
friend spoke to Picks eleven News, Well, they should have
him arrested a long time ago. You know, she took
another murder to look into this other situation. It's gary.
The horrifying sequence of events began when Taylor allegedly murdered
his current wife, Teresa Gregg in Brooklyn, where he had

(03:47):
been living. According to prosecutors, Taylor confessed that after killing
Greg he quote unquote felt bad, compelling him to embark
on a grim journey from North Carolina to Schenectady. He
then checked out into a local hotel, waiting for the
opportune moment to exact his twisted revenge on his ex wife,
to Sean Folks Taylor, the mother of two of his kids.

(04:08):
In the early morning hours, Taylor entered to Shawn's home
on Pleasant Street. During the horrific attack to Shawn, facing
down her killer and knowing his intent, heroically insured her
children were protected. After stabbing her more than twenty two times,
Taylor fled through a bedroom window, discarding articles of clothing

(04:28):
along the way. While Taylor was on the run, Polis
and Brooklyn were actively searching for him in connection with
Gregg's murder. He made his way to Philadelphia, ware authorities,
with the assistance of US marshals, detained him and extraduiited
him back to New York. During questioning, Taylor gave that
chilling account of both deaths, providing that bizarre and disturbing

(04:50):
motive for to Shawn's murder Taylor has since pleaded guilty
to one count of second degree murder for to Shawn's
slaying in exchange for a sentence of twenty two years.
Sentencing is set for September sixteenth. Taylor is also facing
a pending indictment in Brooklyn for the murder of Greg
And Finally, waterfront woes in Florida, and it involves a

(05:12):
backstreet boy. Brian Littrell is saying bye bye bye to
beach trespassers by suing a Florida Sheriff's office. The pop
star claims sun worshipers are crossing the line literally onto
his private slice of paradise, harassing his family, and making
his beach anything but a larger than life experience. Latrell

(05:33):
says he's got no trespassing signs clearer than his vocal harmonies,
but people are still making themselves at home on his sand.
His company BLB Beach hut LC claims the sheriff office
has a serious vendetta against private beaches, refusing to kick
out the unwonted beach bumps. It seems this legal lyrical

(05:56):
