I'm Nicole Parton. Amberley Britten and Mark Myers were arrested
after a month's long investigation that began when one of
their children showed up at school with a severe cut.

denying the children regular access to food. Investigators report the
children were so hungry they broke the locks just to eat.
Inside the home, conditions were described as dangerous and unsanitary,
no betting on mattresses, a strong smell of urine, clutter everywhere,

and no heat. The house was declared uninhabitable. The children
told investigators they were beaten with objects locked in their
bedrooms and sometimes even told to stay outdoors overnight. They
warned not to reveal what was happening or they could die.
A thirteen year old described pain and vomiting from severe hunger,

followed by punishment. Each bedroom door had a fingerprint lock,
leaving the kids to fin for themselves. Mindy Davis, who
lives nearby, said she was stunned and couldn't believe children
were suffering. She would have helped had she known, she said.
Davis recalled seeing one child outside late at night and
sending him home. Police also discovered a large amount of

showed no remorse, blaming that children and calling them liars.
Court records reveal Britain has five prior convictions for endangering
a child. Lail Meyers has convictions for statutory rape, failing

reported by JAX, referencing a police document, forty one year
old Lisa Singh from Jacksonville was taken into custody last
month after allegedly engaging an inappropriate behavior with a child.

The incident reportedly took place in September when the victim
and a witness visited Singh's home to meet her son.
