Suspect Seth Schlutter greeting Deputy Hudson. Following a road rage
incident ending with the father of three drunk, violent and
breaking into a stranger's home in Wayne Township, Ohio, last Friday,
(00:22):
around five point thirty pm, thirty year old Schlooter stopped
his car in the middle of State Route seven twenty
seven near the Stone Lake Park Down. A woman honked
and drove around him. Schlooter, with his young kids in
the car, followed her to her house on Lair Road.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Got to the house and when she arrived there, the homeowner,
the husband, was on the front porch. He went out
and spoke to the guy and then she, the wife
or victim, fled behind the residents. He then went to
retrieve her.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Chief Deputy Mike White with the Claremont County Sheriff's Office
on WXIX.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
When they came back from behind the residence, he entered
the home and at that point the mail on side.
It ended up striking him.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
So much for trying to calm slutter down. Deputies say
his children were all under the age of five. He
pulled them out of the car and entered the couple's
home without permission. Inside, Schloter ransacked the place. When the
couple entered the home, he punched the husband in the
face and ran off with his kids. The husband was
treated at the scene for minor injuries. The woman told
(01:21):
reporters she hadn't even realized that Schluter followed her home
until he was already in their driveway. Deputy's track Slooter
down later that day at a convenience store on State
Route seven twenty seven. Here is Detective Sergeant Evon Sheppard.
There was an arrangement made with his spouse to help
deputies apprehend him at a musual location. Schlooter appears shirtless, shoeless,
(01:43):
and silent. Other than greeting the arresting officer. Bodycamp footage
shows him slumping into the back of the cruiser. His
kids were turned over to relatives. A judge set his
bond to two hundred thousand dollars surprise. He has a
history of domestic violence, burglary, drug possession, and previous dui,
including one in an elementary school zone. Schlooter now faces
(02:03):
charges including aggravated burglary, assault, menacing child endangerment, and two
counts of dui. More crime and justice news after this.
A mother arrested in South Los Angeles is in immigration
custody after federal agents say she staged a fake ice
(02:24):
kidnapping to raise money online. Uriana Julia Pelias Calderone, aged
forty one, goes by Julie, now facing federal counts of
conspiracy and making false statements to federal officers. She is
expected to make her first court appearance in United States
District Court in downtown Los Angeles. If found guilty on
both counts, she could get up to five years in
(02:45):
federal prison each. Agents say surveillance video and phone metadata
shows the kidnapping was all made up. They say surveillance
footage captures called Aroon leaving a jack in the box
parking lot and getting into a sedan.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
She was taken straight from the to the border and
pressure designed self deportation paperwork.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
That was June thirtieth, as the family and lawyers held
a news conference, they said masked armed men grabbed Callederon
from the Jack in the box and drove her to
the border at Sanya Sidro, but phone records show she
was in contact with family when she was said to
be in secret lock up. Investigators also say called Aron
and relatives knew the Feds were looking for her, but
(03:28):
did not step forward. They said she made so called
rescue photos to look hurt at the hands of ICE.
US Attorney Bill Asale says, quote, dangerous rhetoric that ICE
agents are kidnapping illegal immigrants is being recklessly peddled by
politicians and echoed in the media to inflame the public
and discredit our courageous federal agents. The conduct alleged in
(03:50):
today's complaint shows this hoax kidnapping was a well orchestrated conspiracy.
The online fundraiser sought four five hundred dollars, saying they
were facing eviction. GoFundMe says it pulled the fundraiser and
gave back the whopping eighty dollars that had so far
been donated. They said, quote GoFundMe has zero tolerance for
the misuse of our platform or any attempt to exploit
(04:12):
the generosity of others. At no point did the organizer
have access to any of the funds called her own
remains in US immigration custody. Sandy patris Aria, aged seventeen,
disappeared on the night of September nineteenth of nineteen eighty
four in Shawney, Oklahoma. She told a friend that she
was walking to the store to get some smokes, but
she never came back. Her stuff, including her purse, was
(04:34):
left behind. Sandy was living with a friend after moving
out of her mom's house. She supported herself by working
as a server. She regularly visited her younger siblings and
was president of the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America chapter
at Shawnee High School. That night, she asked to be
dropped off at the Windsor Bowling Alley, where her cousin
Jerry Doyle worked. She later asked him for a ride,
(04:54):
but he couldn't leave. She then used the phone at
the bowling Alley to try to find someone else. Around
nine pm, she left with someone no one has identified.
One theory suggests Sandy overdosed at a party and others
hid her body. Another points to something they called suit parties,
where men allegedly gave teens drugs and alcohol in return
for sex. Some say her abusive ex boyfriend may have
(05:16):
been involved in her disappearance. A few years ago, a
District Attorney Task Force looked into the case to re
examine old leads. A detective still believes someone at the
party that night knows what happened. Sandy was white with
light brown hair, brown eyes, freckles, and a scarf from
an appendectomy. She was last seen wearing a gray crop
top with sh printed on it, pink jogging pants, and
(05:37):
flip flops. She would be fifty eight today. Anyone with
