Crime Alart hourly update breaking crime news Now. I'm Nicole
Parton an update on the trial against accused dentist killer
James Craig. On Thursday, an adult daughter took the stand
in court to share her memories of her mother, angel Craig,
describing her as a wonderful parent who cherished her role
as a mother. The daughter, whose identity has not been disclosed,
(00:24):
struggled to maintain her composure as she remembered stories and
experiences with her mom. She became visibly emotional upon seeing
a photo of her joyful mother displayed on the courtroom monitors.
Her father, James Craig, is currently facing trial for allegedly
poisoning his wife of twenty three years, Angela Craig, with
(00:45):
cyanide and tetrahydrosylene and protein shakes in twenty twenty three.
He has pleaded not guilty to first degree murder charges
and several other charges, including solicitation to commit murder and
solicitation to commit perjury. According to investigators, the former dentist
is accused of administering poison in his wife's protein shakes
(01:07):
in order to pursue a relationship with another woman. That
other woman recently spoke to ABC.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I don't like that label. If I had known what
was true, I would not have been with this person.
I want to say it lands right exactly at three weeks.
There's no way I'm motive. There's been no planning a
future together.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
On the stand. Her daughter continued by saying, she was
my best friend and we had a very close bond.
We communicated through text every day. Her daughter testified, then
she began to notice a decline in her mother's health.
She began feeling heavy and dizzy and was less stable
on her feet, she explained. When Angela was pronounced brain dead,
(01:53):
the daughter revealed that her father expressed a desire not
to conduct an autopsy. Investigators have stated that Angela Craig's
system contained potassium cyanide, arsenic, and tetra hydrosolene, the latter
of which is an active ingredient in vizine. All of
that was in her at the time of her death.
(02:14):
Throughout the proceedings, James Craig was observed weeping as his
daughter spoke directly in front of him. The lead detective
also provided testimony detailing her efforts to obtain the cell
phones belonging both to James and Angela. A representative from
Midland Scientific who sold potassium cyanide to Craig, informed the
(02:34):
jury that he was eager to receive the substance quickly
and even requested overnight shipping. Concerns were raised regarding the
email domain James Craig used to order the cyanide. Yes,
it raised a red flag to see a Gmail domain,
said Cassie Rodriguez, a customer service representative from Midland Scientific.
Another former employee, Ashley Donahue, testified that Craig had visited
(02:58):
the company's warehouse and Aurora inquiring about a storefront around
the same time he was attempting to arrange shipping of
the product to his dental office. The trial is anticipated
to continue until early August. Prime and Justice News after this.
(03:23):

of foul play. Wording to the police. They added in
