Speaker 1 (00:00):
Crime alart, hourly update, breaking crime news Now. I'm Jennifer Gould.
Devin Michaels, the forty seven year old former adult film
star known as Nicky Fairchild, is charged with the savage,
calculated murder of her baby daddy, forty six year old
Jonathan Willett. In a packed Clark County courtroom, prosecutors are

(00:22):
laying out the horrific reality of the August seventh, twenty
twenty three slaughter in Henderson, Nevada. The motive is a
deeply disturbing tangle. Michaels wanted Willett eliminated so she could
live openly with his son, Deviere, whom she shockingly married
in twenty twenty one, transforming her ex into her new

(00:45):
father in law. Here's Deputy DA John Jordine in court.
All I can say is muckel up, because you're in
for a wild ride. The courtroom was stunned into silence
by Chief Medical Examiner doctor Stephanie Yaggi's unflinching testimony Willette's
murder was not a quick death. After being bludgeoned with
a stick, initial botched knife hacks failed to sever his head.

(01:11):
Michaels then allegedly used a power tool to finish the
sickening act of decapitation. His one hundred and sixty nine
pound corpse was discovered headless and drenched in chemicals. The
victim's skull was deliberately removed and then discarded by Michael's
in a Las Vegas trash receptacle, where it remains unrecovered

(01:33):
to this very day. Jonathan's mom, Yoko Willett, delivered heart
wrenching testimony via translator. Roused by a midnight bang and
barking dogs, she found the unlocked door and the grizzly
dawn discovery. Her son was wrapped in a reeking blanket, headless,
with noxious fumes rising from the chemical doused body. This

(01:57):
shocking act occurred just before Jonathan was set to move
back in with Michaels, who had recently lost custody of
their two daughters in a child abuse case. The prosecution
hammered the motive a forbidden and explosive flame with step
son Deviere twenty nine, which began when he was a teen.
Here he is testifying on the stand. Did you kill

(02:19):
your father, No, sir. Did you have any involvement killing
your father? No? Sir. Texts presented show the relationship was
deeply toxic, with Michaels calling Deviere a quote unquote liar
and threatening divorce just before the murder, defense attorney Draskovich
is fighting Beck, accusing Devier of being the true killer,
fueled by jealousy and hate for his father who was

(02:43):
reclaiming his home and his wife. Michaels, who risks life
imprisonment without the possibility of parole if convicted of first
degree murder, remains legally married to her steps on for now.
The trial continues for Crime and Justice News. After that,

(03:04):
the chilling depths of digital obsession met shocking violence at
the University of Missouri after college freshman Maxwell Warren was
allegedly driven to violence by a classmate blocking him on Snapchat. Warren, eighteen,
is now facing a barrage of felony charges stemming from

(03:25):
two separate assaults that began with a desperate, terrifying demand
of quote you need to add me back right now.
End quote. According to the probable cause statement, the first
attack occurred on September twenty sixth, when Warren showed up
uninvited to the victim's residence hallroom in Columbia. The victim

(03:45):
opened the door a crack, but Warren allegedly shoved his
way in, pushing the student violently against a bed before
wrapping his hands around her throat. As he choked the victim,
Warren reportedly issued his perverse ultimatum of quote, what do
you think you're doing? You need to add me back
right now. End quote. The attack was successful, the victim terrified,

(04:10):
unblocked the social media account. Police later documented a visible
red mark on her neck with the distinct imprint of
a hand. The psychological torment and physical threat, though continued.
Two days later, Warren reportedly sent a sinister, chilling confession
via Instagram at bidding quote, I remember getting really upset

(04:33):
once or twice when I choked you. I feel awful.
You deserve so much better. End quote. However, the remorse
was short lived. On September thirtieth, when the victim referenced
the assault, Warren's temper ignited again, and he allegedly messaged
back via Snapchat, writing quote, I would do it again.
I effing hate you. I would gladly beat your ass

(04:56):
end quote. The threats became reality nearly a month later,
on October twenty ninth, The victim allowed Warren back into
the dorm room, where after his advances were rebuffed, Warren
became enraged and allegedly strangled the student a second time,
this time until the person briefly lost consciousness. Warren was

(05:18):
subsequently arrested and charged with first degree burglary, first degree
domestic assault, second degree domestic assault, and fourth degree domestic assault.
The University of Missouri has issued a mandatory campus ban.
Warren has entered a plea of not guilty. His next
court hearing is set for December ninth. And finally, fast

(05:39):
food fanaticism brewed into full blown felonious fury in Michigan
after a customer, Iddas Kashara Brown decided her canceled online
order was grounds for assault. The boiling Mad incident captured
on now viral video at a Buena Vista township McDonald's
show's Brown confrons hunting a worker over a bungled digital order.

(06:03):
When the employee explained the refund process for the missing items,
Brown literally took matters into her own steaming hands. She
violently ripped the lid off the coffee cup and flung
the scalding liquid across the counter. Listen over, and now

(06:23):
that's what Brown screamed, the now viral line quote, F
you catch that hot ass coffee end quote. The unidentified
manager let out a blood curdling scream as Brown then
stormed out of the McDonald's. The worker amazingly suffered only
minor injuries, but Brown is now the one in hot water.

(06:46):
A warrant has been issued for her arrest, and she
is facing a felonious assault charge, turning a case of
refund rage into one hot legal mess. Let's hope she's
captured soon. For the latest crime in Justice, News followed
