Crime Alart hourly update, breaking crime news Now, I'm Drew Neilson.
Rebecca Park, a young woman who was pregnant, is found
dead in Michigan, with her full term baby missing. Her
biological mother and stepfather now stand accused of torturing and
killing her. Her body discovered in the Menasting National Forest,
investigators confirming she is no longer pregnant, with no newborn

(00:21):
ever found as an infant child, Protective Services intervened to
remove Rebecca from the care of her biological mother, Courtney Bartholomew.
Rebecca was placed with foster mother, Stephanie Park. When Courtney's
parental rights were terminated. Stephaniie immediately adopted the child. Stephanie
later said, quote, all foster kids are fragile, and I
made sure they stayed with us so they didn't have

(00:42):
to deal with any more trauma. Rebecca thrived in the
Park home. She was close with her grandparents and extended family.
Stephanie believed Rebecca's biological mother was dangerous and worked to
prevent any contact between them. Still, like many adopted children,
Rebecca grew curious about her biological mother. Eventually, the two
reconnected at thirty eight weeks pregnant. Rebecca went to the

(01:04):
hospital November two, even though her due date was November eighteenth.
She was feeling contractions. Doctors determined she was not in labor.
After being released, Rebecca picked up her biological mother to
run errands. Rebecca had two thousand dollars in cash money
she had received as an inheritance to prepare for the baby.
That night, Rebecca's fiance, Richard Lee Flor, tried repeatedly to

(01:26):
contact her. He received no calls or texts. In return.
Knowing Rebecca had been with her biological mother for Lor,
contacted Courtney by Tholomew. Courtney told him Rebecca had gotten
into a black sedan with tinted windows just before midnight
and left for Lord reported Rebecca missing to the Wexford
County Sheriff's Office. Volunteer search efforts quickly began, the fact

(01:47):
that she was full term, creating an intense sense of
urgency to find her. Her cell phone was later found
along a roadway near her mother's home by Michigan State Police.
Despite extensive searches, no trace of Rebecca was found. The
Sheriff's office issued a public plea at the time stating
quote Rebecca the Sheriff's office and people close to you
are concerned about your well being. Based on statements made

(02:09):
by people close to you, it is possible that you
are scared or hiding for reasons known only to you.
We assure you that you aren't in any trouble. On
November twenty fifth, a volunteer found Rebecca's body on a
trail directly behind her mother's home. Authorities did not initially
release information about the condition of the body or whether
a newborn had been found. Rebecca was expected to give

(02:30):
birth only days before her remains were discovered. In a
shocking turn, the two people who first found what they
believed to be Rebecca's body chose not to approach it. Instead,
they recorded video of it from a distance. They were
later identified as Rebecca's biological father, Fabian Strong, and her
older brother. During the search, Rebecca's fiance, Fulor and her
younger sister, Kimberly Park, had been among the most vocal

(02:53):
family members urging the public for help. Flora had publicly
suggested that an unknown person had picked up Rebecca from
her mother's home and taken her away. Shortly after Rebecca's
body was found, forty two year old Fullor was taken
into custody. Hours later, police also arrested twenty one year
old Kimberly Park. At the time, no explanation was given
for the arrests and no charges were listed. The Sheriff's

(03:14):
office declined comment pending autopsy results, but authorities later said
Fullora and Park weren't arrested in connection to the case,
so why were they arrested and who done it? More
on the case of Rebecca Park. After this, authorities clarified

(03:36):
that the arrests of Richard Fullor and Kimberly Park were
not immediately connected to Rebecca Park's death. Fullor, who is
older than Rebecca's mother, has a lengthy criminal record. He
was charged with two counts of delivering and manufacturing methamphetamine
and habitual offender forth offense. Those charges were unrelated to
Rebecca's death. His bond was set at one million dollars cash.

(03:57):
Kimberly Park was charged with tampering with evidence in a
criminal case, lying to a police officer during a violent
crime investigation, and filing a false report, all felonies. Her
bond was set at seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars cash.
Days later, investigators arrested Courtney Bartholomew and her husband, Bradley Bartholomew,
charging both with Rebecca's murder. Authorities released that Rebecca was

(04:18):
no longer pregnant at the time of her death. According
to the autopsy. No information has been released regarding the baby.
Courtney and Bradley Bartholomew each face the same charges, including
first degree premeditated murder, felony murder, and torture. Judge Corey
Wiggins ruled that Bradley Bartholomew is a fourth offense habitual offender,
ordering him held without bond. After the murder charges were

(04:40):
filed against Courtney and Bradley Bartholomew, a judge lowered the
bonds for Richard Floor and Kimberly Park. Fulora's bond dropped
from one million dollars cash to five thousand dollars. Kimberly
Park's bond was also reduced to five thousand dollars. Both
posted bond paying ten percent in this case and were
released from jail. Neither had been charged in Rebecca's murder
or in the death of her unborn child. Rebecca Park's

(05:03):
two young sons, now ages two and three, are too
young to fully understand their mother's death, but old enough
to sense that something is wrong. Stephanie Park now has
custody of both boys, along with the one year old
daughter of Rebecca's sister, Kimberly. For more on the case
