Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Dan Patrick Takes a Gamble, a weekly gambling
podcast sort of hosted by Dan Patrick, except for the
Mortley ambiguous parts, which will be handled by Dylan and Shay.
Talked to me and now here's Dan Dylan and Shay.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Welcome to yet another episode of Dan Patrick Takes a Gamble,
not fully assembled. Shay informed us late last night that
he is flying back from Italy and won't be here
in time. Great that he informed us late last night,
and we could have taped this yesterday.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Yeah, twelve thirty last night. He's like, I'm not gonna
make it.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
I'm flying.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
He's like, you didn't want to tell me that before.
He's like no, why, It's like, what the fuck? I
think it's nice we get a little vacation ourselves. Yeah,
I know him, but I got some time to fill
and he's always good.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
And maybe you know. The roommate comes into the picture
when they zoom and I get a look at her.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
We could probably get her on the horn. I think
she's staying in Italy?

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Is she?

Speaker 4 (00:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
And even his wife's mom kind of looked hot.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
She looked good. I mean, I'm just saying, you're just
at you're gone balls and strikes.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
No, I'm a journalist, yes, so all I'm doing is
looking and being honest.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
Big Jay.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
By the way, speaking of which, I went to see
the movie The Odyssey, and uh, it's wild. I didn't
think it was a great movie, but I thought it
was great movie making. Yeah, okay. And there's one scene
where Matt Damon, who plays Odysseus, he washes up on
shore and Charlie's thereon is there too nurture him back

(01:33):
to life. Not bad, okay. And I don't know if
they tried to make her not look great as somebody
who would be on a remote island, but it didn't matter.
She looked spectacular. So I was in between during commercial
break on the show, I walked back. I see Ray.
I said, Ray, you're in love. But if you could

(01:55):
spend the weekend with Charle's thereon and lose your girlfriend forever,
would you do that? What do you think? He said, Dylan.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
This, We're gonna have to clip this one. I think
he said absolutely he did, and then yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
He did, and then he said, I don't think we
should bring that up on the Gamble podcast, and I
go too late.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
That's You're literally my first mistake.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
The more you don't want something to get brought up,
do not say please, don't bring that up.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Well, Dan got his interview clause in me and I
was like, you know what, I feel like, I just
got to give this guy an answer.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Come on, you know the answer.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
But even after one weekend, then they're like, oh, Ray
was good enough for her, So you get a little
trickle down.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Or yeah, you can just do the one weekend and
then blow your brains out because you're well, you.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Could be kind of like Pete Davidson. You know, one
person has to say yes, and then after that they're like,
he's magical.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Well, because there are in Grande wrote that song about
how big his dick is, and then basically the floodgates
open and it happens. It happens to the best.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
All right, our starting lineup, big day Ray who produces
this but is also this because he's the one who
actually wins his Betsy Dylan is here, Dylan Dylan is
minus forty three. You want a new record, I don't
know you're getting up there. I need football season start
just so I don't have to look at this. Yes,
so we wipe the slate clean.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah, it is a new record. I looked it up
actually today. The previous record was forty one Biden.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
How about a round him? It was shitty betting.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
We're breaking records on this shit.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
He did it.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
It's golf. The for PSA for everyone out there, don't
bet on golf.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
It's dumb, I know, but we have to have something
to bet on.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
No, I'm still doing it. Yeah, but I'm saying like
advising people, be like, it's you're.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
So big day. Ray is plus eleven. He won three
units last week, Shay minus fifteen. He lost a half unit,
and Dylan lost six and a half. He's at minus
forty three. Ray does a lot of research around here.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
He does.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
He's like, hey, Shay is in Rome. If the guys
were gladiators in the Roman Colisseum, what would be their
weapon of choice? And I go, all right, I'm not
up on I'm not up on the Iliad and the Odyssey,
let alone what kind of weapons would they have in
the Roman Empire? Ray, do you want to give us
a couple of suggestions on if you guys were in

(04:16):
the Roman Calmosseum.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
So, the most common is the gladius, which is a
short sword and it's paired with the a shield, which
is a scutnam. So that's the most common.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
And you've been nicknamed Gladias by women, Yes, glad or
scrout that's scrotum. Scrotum is the large oblong shield.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
That's where that comes from, particularly large. Yes, then there's
this is my I thought through this way too long
last night. This is my favorite that tried and did
taken edible last night. So I was thinking about this.
Think about it like this. I'm a tall, lanky guy.
I can't get like someone like Shay if he had

(05:01):
the sword and the shield, I can't let him get
in on my body.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
So if I have a trident and then I have
the net, I can like net him and then.

Speaker 4 (05:09):
Use my length like an animal.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Yeah, use my length to my advantage. The problem with
the net that I was thinking about was I miss
Then I just have a trident which.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Did a lot of damage with a drydent, and.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Then you could have a seka, a curved sword, or
a spear a hosta.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
I'll do the hosta, you think, so, yeah, I want
a spear.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
I want to range your backup thing is like a
little dagger though.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Like across your defense of the long stick. You know,
the pugio, Yeah, the yellow dagger on the hip.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Yeah. Speaking to Shay, somebody sent a picture of young
Orson Wells middle aged. My goodness, it's unbelievably uncanny resemblance
between those two.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
I feel like, as someone who does all the research,
I let everyone down. I feel like that was a
layup that we just didn't think about.

Speaker 4 (06:02):
Like this, there's this one picture well I gave you
Russell Crowe, Russell great kind of it's if you blended
Russell Crowe and middle aged Orson Wells like Shay is
what pops.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Out and down on his luck like Bam Margera, just kind.

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Of with the same amount of dumb tattoos on their head.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
Ray did have a bet on Tuesday night, but it
doesn't show up in the standings here. You uh, you
were betting on table tennis.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Live points too. So I was watching it live and
I would bet on every single point. I lost two
hundred dollars and this guy Marick took at dellahowoskas owes
me a lot of money. He as soon as I
started betting on it, he lost seven in a row,
and I was like Oh, well, he's due, he's got
to make one and I lost seven in a row.
So I lost two hundred dollars on a round on Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Were you also betting on darts?

Speaker 3 (06:54):
Yes, I was betting on darts. But we'll get to
that later, because, well, dude, Luke Littler was on fire.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Did you make back?

Speaker 3 (07:01):
He had a table, He had a nine darter to
start the round, which is unbelievable. It's almost like hitting
a hole in one on the first hole of a major. Yeah,
but there are no part threes to start a major course.
But he is on fire. We're getting back to that
later because I have a couple bets on laping.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Oh okay, all right. By the way, we have an
over under for sack total for this player this season
if he decides to come back. Aaron Donald Aaron Donald
over under sax seven and a half.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
Under.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
I think it's hard to come back. I'm taking the under.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
I think they're begging you to take the under.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Do you think so, Yeah, I think they're begging you
to take the over.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Now they went to six and a half, then it
would be like, then you have to take the over.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
We don't even know how much he would be playing.
We do not.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
He could be just playing home games.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
He plays eight games. He has to have a sack
a game.

Speaker 3 (07:58):
Yeah, but then you have you do have Miles, Garrett
and Young pushing them up in the pockets. People might
have to step up. Aaron Donald around there.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
I like it.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Okay, you might be talking me into the the over.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
I don't know why we got on this topic, but
I think maybe because we were traveling. I have my
daughter's wedding coming up. The best place to have a beer.
We're playing golf today.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
Yep, airport beer atturmy love it.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Golf course beer, beach beer, ballgame beer, wedding beer, shower beer.
What's a shower beer?

Speaker 4 (08:34):
Here in the shower?

Speaker 3 (08:35):
So if you're like pregame at a party and you're like,
oh shit, I gotta get ready, people take a beer
into the shower and then just drink a beer while
you're shower. Yeah, they sell like things you can stick
on to the shower head so you can place your
beer there while you do the shampoo.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
But the beer in the shower is kind of like
banging in the shower where it's like sounds better than
it actually is. Functionally because I'll do all the time,
bring a beer in the shower, and then I'll be like,
oh fuck, I forgot that was sitting there the whole time.
Then you get out and you just have a warmer beer,
campfire beer.

Speaker 3 (08:59):
It's of one too.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Boat beer. Beer's nice pontoon boat pontoon beer.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
What about thirty boat beers?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
You can't drive, then, yeah, I can't pilot the pontoon boat.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Depends the state.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
I think, No, I can't get pulled over.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
They do you see cops on your lake up there?

Speaker 2 (09:17):
I don't. They're not cops, they're like lake sheriffs or
officials or but yeah they're there.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
I can get you in trouble.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. But they pulled me over one
time because they wanted to see if I had enough
life jackets. With everybody on board, and they came out
of nowhere. It was like, I'm like, oh man, and
I go, what did you jump? No? I didn't jump.
I tried to flee on a pontoon.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
I think we're going to catch you. Look that guy go, yeah,
what's it top that?

Speaker 2 (09:47):
I'm going eighteen miles an hour? But I had enough
life jacket yes.

Speaker 4 (09:53):
Yeah, they do. That's the one they don't. They don't
fuck around with the life jackets.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
No, and they shouldn't. But I did. I had it.
I had more than enough.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Is it pulled over on a boat or like docked up?

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Like what is?

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Stop the engine?

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Yeah? Yeah I didn't pull over the sea.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Did they board you?

Speaker 2 (10:09):
They did not board me, but they wanted to they did?
You know inventory how many people were on the pontoon boat?
How many life jackets?

Speaker 1 (10:19):
I have?

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Like fifteen life jackets? You probably oh yeah, yeah?

Speaker 3 (10:22):
How many people can you fit on the pontoon boat?

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Like ten if you want to? But you know there
were little ones. So they had their life jackets already on. Yeah,
you don't have to wear them, but you have to
have them on the on the boat. Yeah, if the
ship sinking, yes, do you have one for a winning
I do not. She won't go in the water.

Speaker 4 (10:40):
Could you just give her like a people one? Do
they make or they make?

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Yeah? They make dog yeah best. But they they can swim,
Yeah they can the doggy pound. They're really very proficient.
The Tom Brady Logan Paul or were you going to
put a bet on this?

Speaker 4 (10:57):
Well, it's the bet if they end up doing at
WW Have they even said that clearly it's promo for whatever? Bullshit?

Speaker 2 (11:04):
What could Logan Paul have said to Tom where Tom goes,
I'm Tom fucking Brady. I'm gonna smack you in front
of everybody at Fanatics Fest? Michael, What could he have said.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
Michael Rubin? I feel like, is the guy setting this
whole thing up?

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Oh so you think this is not WWE, this is Fanatics.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
I think there's gonna be a partnership between those two.
I assume that Fanatics owns w that way. Everything that way,
you can probably I bet you they're going to do it,
so you can only bet on that match through Fanatics
like that, uh that Gronk field goal thing that they did, Like,
I feel like it's going to be one of those
type of things. But it's just embarrassing.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
I could expect Logan Paul to do it.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
He does, but not Tom, Like.

Speaker 3 (11:51):
Come on, just seems like he's Tom Brady's doing well.
It seems like he's doing a Mike Tyson arrow where
you're down on your luck and you need money, so
you just didn't get it.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Frushed in the ords or something. I mean Giselle has
a shitload of money. I can't imagine he was forced.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
He might have had more money than him.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Yeah, so he wasn't like forking over half of what
he was. It's still a lot.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Yeah, I don't. I don't think he goes man, I
gotta but he picked up some odd jobs.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
He auctioned off all his watches too, or like a
lot of them like whatever that last year or something.
I don't know. I don't know, I mean ambling.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Even if he got cleared out. His deal with Fox
is three hundred and seventy five million.

Speaker 2 (12:26):
So oh, I forgot how to back after Texas though
that one's after I know, I know, I know. Uh, okay,
let me recap here.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Oh Dan, did you see our pal vegas Dave? Uh
he got he's ordered to fork over like ten million
dollars or something by a judge. And this was three
days ago, told the handover assets or get locked up.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
What did he what did he do?

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (12:56):
Actually he was the judge order to pay thirty point
two million dollars because of he was running some fucking
scam scheme I think with like his rental properties in
Mexico or something. So he's told the handover his Richard
Melay watch Burke and Bags. He's one of those guys
who carries around burke and bags.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
Didn't he go out with Holly Saunders?

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Yeah, well going out might be a strong term, but
yeah they were. They were dating I think at one point. Okay, dang,
but he's uh, that's the king of the grifters, that guy. Dang.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
All right. Shae Shay got England against France. He missed
on Argentina Spain.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
That game was bullshit, the intilation game.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Ray had a lot of bloodshed with golf.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Uh, couldn't be me.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
The World Cup saved me. I had or Spain as
a future and then both teams not to any team
not to score. I can hit that one.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
So did the sportsbooks must have absolutely dined out on
the World Cup. Was just more did the three way lines,
because that's why everyone goes in bets soccer. That's what
Ipe mizu Otany's interpreter was just getting hosed betting soccer
because like the bookie that he was using, that dude
who went and did the rounds. He was basically like
I told him, like, you get killed on soccer because

(14:15):
you're just you have the draw element to it. So
I'm sure a bunch of everyone and their mother was like,
I don't they you know, Spain to win and then
they draw.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Yeah. But Ray did some research on how much money
was bet on the World Cup and now I think
it's twenty thirty eight is open if I wonder if
we could get a quick turnaround. Not quick, but if
you think about it, in twelve years, could we get
the World Cup because of the gambling aspect, how much

(14:44):
money was raised? And that's bottom line with all of this.
It's all about who's paying who, and if.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
I know anything about FIFA, they can't be bought.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
So yeah, but DraftKings got six hundred and fifty percent
more bets on this World Cup than twenty twenty two.
It out did like all of March Madness combined, every
single NBA playoff game, obviously not the Super Bowl.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
I mean curious enough if they would then target Vegas
specifically as a location for games if it was back here,
because I met, I mean Vegas would needs that.

Speaker 3 (15:16):
Well, we know the heat's not an issue if we're
going to Katar in.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Vegas, Yeah, and then is in Saudi Arabia to World
Cups from them.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah, I do get that. I don't know who knows
Dylan all bloodshed with the Open championship.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Yeah, and Ben James, our guy. Ben James did not
win the Corralees Puntacana Championship.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
He was in the hunt, I know, World Cup Spain
to win. You got that, yeah, and then you lost
it because you had France to beat England and the
ten goals in that game consolation game. Yeah. All right.
That brings us to the three M Open that starts today. Ray.

Speaker 3 (15:54):
Oddly enough, I might be the most prepared for this
golf event as I've been all year on any golf event.
I did a lot of research because I knew nothing
about it, So now I feel like I'm overly prepared.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Do you know anything about three M the company?

Speaker 3 (16:06):
I have no idea.

Speaker 4 (16:07):
They make like tape and shit really well.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
They have a good event going on, So TPC twin cities,
very large greens, favors long ball hitters, multiple gettable par fives,
has fifteen holes with water and play, so it's regularly
up there for most water balls. It actually beat out
Sawgrass a couple of years ago for most water balls.
So I'm going with guys you can hit the ball
far inaccurately. So this brings me to Casey Jarvis, top

(16:34):
twenty plus two to twenty five. He finished tied six
last week at the Open, which I like, and he's
been really good on the DP World Tour. He has
two wins this year and he has a second place,
third place and a ninth place finish and six PG
starts this year. He's missed one cut, which was at
the Masters, and he had a bad first round at
the Open, but he finished sixty seven, sixty eight, sixty six,
so playing well. When to ride that. Jackson Suber, who

(16:58):
was a he was a big topic last week top
twenty plus one seventy, he was in contention and then
he shot four over on Sunday. He finished sixth at
the John Deere, fourth at the RBC, and fourth at
the Byron Nelson. So I feel like these type of
events he does well. Over his last twenty four rounds,
he ranks eleventh on tour and driving distance in seventh
for birdies or better percentage. So get a bull par

(17:19):
five's are guys going to be getting some birdies? Maybe
an eagle eagle, Yeah, maybe an eagle.

Speaker 4 (17:24):
Albatroz this one.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
I've been back and forth on this one whether I'm
going to take it out or not. But Corey Connor's
top twenty plus one, seventy five, quietly playing pretty well.
Fourteenth at the Open, seventh at the Travelers, twenty third
at the US Open.

Speaker 4 (17:36):
And you know what, Minnesota is close to Canada.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
He's a visor guy, isn't he?

Speaker 1 (17:43):
No?

Speaker 4 (17:44):
I don't think he is one of the Canadian guys.
Is uh, like Adam Hadwin.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Or someone Hadwin is? Yeah, Connors is wearing like a
ping hat.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
But Advisor he has.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
He wears visors. I think two years ago he switched.
He's not loyal to the Visor, but he'll he couldn't
keep up with Kashmir.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Keith Keith Mitchell.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
No, I hate the visor. I don't know. It's like
you either have a hat on or don't.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
What about if you're a football coach.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Like John Gruden? Yeah, no, it looks stupid.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
What if what if you want to get I guess
actually you don't see a lot of bald visor wearers.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
That's a tough one.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:27):
Did you tell Will Ferrell that when he wore the
hawkvisor in last week? No?

Speaker 2 (18:30):
I did not.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
Did he Did he get his hair like frozen or frosted? Tips?

Speaker 1 (18:34):
For that?

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (18:35):
I saw him when he walked in, and I was like,
I want to say something, but in case it's not
for this role, I don't want it.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Yeah, in fact, we have a new employee here. Oh tips,
Billy tips, Billy tips.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
Yeah, that's a good one.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
Frosty man.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Yeah he got a little dusting up there.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
Yeah, that's a good one. Should I do that?

Speaker 3 (18:56):
They're doing it naturally? But with gray.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
I did bleach my hair. Uh was two year three
years ago. I bet and I had to dye my
hair blue and I obviously had to bleach my hair
first because it's black to make it blue. And it
fucked my hair up a bit, turned into like spaghetti squash.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
If you're not careful, it can actually screw your hair up.
I was did I dressed as a This is embarrassing.
I dressed as a pumpkin in fourth grade for Halloween
and I I went to football practice with orange hair
and then it's I sweated through my helmet everything. So
I was like a strawberry blonde for like a year
and a half. I couldn't get it out like actually
dyed it. They told me I might have to shave
my head and I was like.

Speaker 4 (19:33):
Yeah, ultimately your hair grows back in and then you
just have like this shit on top.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
There was a college coach who shaved his head and
it didn't grow back, grew back in patches.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Really Yeah, did he have like ali piha or something?

Speaker 2 (19:45):
No, I don't know. I think it's Ed Cooley who
is at Georgetown used to be at Providence. I think
that the story was that he shaved his head.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Is that what that is?

Speaker 2 (19:54):
I think? And then it came back that kind of spots.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
But a friend of mine had alopecia, and he said
like he was like seven years old in the shower
and you just like pulled like a clump of hair
out and then it all just fell out, like Roger
Marris going for the record.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Yeah, sweating it out.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
He doesn't have eyebrows, All right, what else do you have?

Speaker 3 (20:14):
Tom Kim top ten plus two fifty. He's outside the
top one hundred and driving, but he's fifth on tour
and approach shots. So on a long par five, get
a booth par five. If you can avoid the hazards,
I think he can make a run at top ten
in that in that field, this is my favorite one.
Emmanuel Grillo top forty plus one twenty. He's the last

(20:35):
four times he's played here, he tied second, tied tenth,
tied twenty fourth, and tied twentieth. And he's been top
forty and four of his last five events. So top
forty is a little safe.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
I thought it was a Miliano Grillo.

Speaker 3 (20:47):
It is, did I say, em Manual? Yeah, same thing
shows you how much I found out about this guy
doing research. So but he is Argentinian.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
He's also in the lead right now. Really yep, he's
six under through twelve.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Okay, oh, when you have him top forty.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Cora, that's weird. I think I just said it was
to win.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, what under? Scotty also tied for second
at five Did you see what his odds were to
start this tournament?

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Years and then Kirk Kidiama was plus twenty two hundred.
That was the second closest. Yeah, that's maybe the biggest
disparity I've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
Yeah, it's crazy. I'm sure there's people out there who
this season because Scotty has played well, he just hasn't won. Yeah,
and won so people, i'm sure, were like, I'm just
gonna bet Scotti every week and last year you would
have actually done all right this year again.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
But the odds suck the aggregate scores in the Major,
he's far and away. Actually he's tied with Sam Burns.
They're like twenty under.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
Sam Burns had some heartbreakers this year, but.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
All like the top eight guys haven't won.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
Yeah, so the aggregate score was tough for the razor
thin margin, right, all right, and.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
Now to everyone's favorite. We're going to darts the World
match Play, So fuck Luke Litler's minus one ninety, so
I'm gonna do two units on Litler to get one back.
He opened with the nine darter against Nate aspinall and
he was centimeters away from doing it again four legs later.
That's unheard of to get two nine darters in one match.
He went on to have the second highest scoring average

(22:15):
ever at the World match Play at one thirteen sixty eight.
And bonus, Luke Humphreys was upset. So now his only
competition is he was defeated. He was upset, well, I know,
but like the way you said that, it's like, oh yeah,
he was defeated which was a major upset.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Yeah, like Luke Littler did all this and Luke Humphreys
was upset.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
And Louke Humphreys was very upset about it. So with
no competition there, I might even do more units, but
I'm scared do it.

Speaker 4 (22:45):
Bus He come on your mind, it's one ninety.

Speaker 3 (22:49):
Yeah, I'll stick with what I got. What I'm doing
is working.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
H Yeah, that's annoying. Actually, all right, Dylan, all right, Dan,
three of them open Sung Jay Him who was actually
rocking a Sung Jay Him sweater today at the tournament.
Plus fifty five hundred to win. I think he was
like one under right now, and I'm gonna take him
top five plus like eight twenty. Yeah, And I've got

(23:13):
a new baseball betting strategy.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
I'd like the it's got to be better than the
old one.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
It can't be worse. Fading aces. I've noticed a trend, Dan,
and I have no information to back this up, but
a lot of times when.

Speaker 2 (23:27):
You know nothing to do with Wilson No, no, not
those aces, nice agea.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
The uh the Aces.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Steely Dan album, Yeah, it was Asia, Yeah, good album.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
You like Steely Dan, Yes, I do. I like Steely Dan.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Common ground. Finally, look at you two, look at us.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
Chevy Chase was supposed to be in Steely Dan. Yeah,
oh you now you don't like him because I like him? No, no, no, no,
Steely making a face.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
No chevy Chase. Oh yeah, well he's a day but
not well thought of.

Speaker 4 (24:03):
No, that did you the I'm Chevy Chason, you're not?

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
That was actually a tough one.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
It didn't soften.

Speaker 4 (24:09):
Now he's just like, yep, this lady's just asking him
questions and he's basically like, you're fucking.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
What else? Anything else here?

Speaker 4 (24:18):
So yeah, I'm fading aces because I feel like they
get over valued and people everyone likes to bet on them.
Chris Sale Is he an ace? I don't know, but anyways,
I'm taking it is he. Is he creeping up as
the future Hall of Famer? I think he's been too hurt.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
I think he's for sure Hall of Famer for sure.
I wouldn't say first ballot.

Speaker 4 (24:36):
The numbers, okay, right of the three thousand strikeouts.

Speaker 3 (24:39):
Are Cy Young, Triple Crown winner, ten time All Star,
won a World Series Gold Glove, and he has an
ERA title.

Speaker 4 (24:45):
His career e r A is hold on just over
three What how many strikeouts does he have?

Speaker 3 (24:53):
M checking?

Speaker 4 (24:55):
But the the Baseball Hall of Fame, though, has softened
a little bit on the or who gets in. It's
still the strictest one, but it feels like there's guys
the last few years. It's like it used to be
just like straight up like legends were the only ones
that made it. Now there's kind of like more bubble.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Yeah, Like now Keith Hernandez is saying, hey, why am
I not in the Hall of Fame? Well, Keith should be, well,
Steve Garvey should be in there before Keith.

Speaker 4 (25:22):
Actually, Bill Buckner has a campaign or case for.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
Being the Well he's no longer living, so that's a bummer. Yeah,
but he had twenty eight hundred hits. Buckner, Yeah, I
know he was right like he and he he hurt himself.
He would have had three thousand hits. He used to
be a really like fast he was an athlete.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
And that's the saddest story I know. No one has
any recollection of any of that.

Speaker 2 (25:48):
It's not just the and I felt bad for him
after what happened in eighty six when the ball went
through his legs, and I visited him in New England
and he said he had to move because his son
was being bullied.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
Yeah, like a bartman in Chicago too.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
And then the Cubs invited him back to basically being
like sorry that your life got ruined, and he was like,
I'm good.

Speaker 2 (26:12):
No, but he moved to star Idaho, and uh. Then
Billy buck died. I don't know, not too long ago. Yeah,
was a few years ago, right, yeah, yeah, but I
just felt bad for him. He shouldn't have been in
the game. And I think John McNamara wanted to, Hey,

(26:32):
why don't you go out there and be on the
field when we win the World Series?

Speaker 4 (26:36):
Yeah, hang out at first base.

Speaker 2 (26:37):
And he knew he was not getting to first base.
He knew Bob Stanley was not getting to first base
before Mookie and Buckner looked up and looked up. All
went through his legs, but they were up with Bruce
Hurst in Game seven. Yea and Ray Knight Ray Night

(26:57):
like crazy yeah, crazy crazy crazy. Uh anything else that
needs to be mentioned here on this podcast, So I'm.

Speaker 3 (27:04):
Just gonna correct myself. Sale has two nine to six
career ra He's been pitching since twenty ten, so that's
that's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
He was always one of my favorites when he was
with Boston. He's very slight, got that Randy Johnson delivery too. Yeah,
but he's not six', Ten, no but maybe.

Speaker 4 (27:21):
Tall how tall is he's?

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Tall he has also has twenty seven hundred strike that's.

Speaker 2 (27:27):
Yeah, YEAH i think he's gonna be a whole. Fan.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
Yeah, Yeah Chris dale six sex oh, okay, YEAH i
mean he's those are pretty good.

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Numbers that's that's hard to beat right there these.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
Days, yeah this in this current, era that Is Mike
musina In yeah, really, yeah he was our uh, yeah
him And Andy, pettitt right Any petits then, yeah, No,
No messina is because he.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Had like two hundred and sixty seven. Wins yeah he
was in twenty, nineteen okay and rightfully so, yeah yeah
he was an ace for he, Pedeated yes he. Did, yeah,
well got caught.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Twice speaking of, baseball how about that ruptured? Testicle oh
yeah that is not have more ruptured balls Than why
WOULD i be a?

Speaker 4 (28:12):
Fan you're not a fan of. Balls, no imagine if
it was the same guy both times he stayed in
the game and hit a, SINGLE i feel LIKE i
feel Like i'm tapping. Out is that the.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Worst injury you could have that's not career?

Speaker 4 (28:23):
Ending, yeah ball stuff like AN I i don't, know
it's getting like you're losing an. Eye well that would
be not necessarily, Though, yeah pretty. Much Jim abbott pitched
with one, hand.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
But that's not his. Eye you can pitch with.

Speaker 4 (28:38):
ONE i that'd be, tough be hard to. Hit hitting
would be, well unless it's your your righty batter and
it's your right. Eye that's actually.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Just learn to hit the opposite.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
Way, yeah it's. Tough it is tough than.

Speaker 3 (28:52):
You one of my favorite, things not. Impossible my favorite
thing to watch in baseball is when there's a foul
tip and it goes right off the, umpires like, yeah lower,
section he's.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Like he's like time. Time the best is WHEN i
mean it's, rare but it's just a straight like throws
a fucking heater and the batter and the catcher just
miss it and it hits them directly because there's no.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Way and it's an.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Accident, yes it's an accident right up.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
Here YEAH i.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Did there's one other THING i. SAW a lady In
california got caught. Shoplifting she had six handles Of tito's
and fourteen packages of bacon in her bag on her, shoulder.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
And thought she was going to get away with.

Speaker 4 (29:29):
It she, did and then she went to a Different
safeway and they clocked. Her she was stealing the exact same.
Stuff oh my, god six handles handles Of tito's and
fourteen packs of, bacon which this she's probably fucking awesome.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Hanger she's a, party that's a. Party, yeah what do
we have In tito's and?

Speaker 4 (29:47):
Bacon Bloody?

Speaker 3 (29:48):
Mary's? Now maybe, yeah maybe she just has plenty of
tomato juice at home so she doesn't need to steal.

Speaker 4 (29:53):
That so after leaving the Bell air when she went
to A safeway and allegedly stole an additional five packages
of bacon and another six handles the.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Vodka my friend is a general manager of a liquor,
store and he, said people just come in and take
stuff and walk right, Out and it's really hard to
get the police to do their. Job but people will
just come in and grab something and walk.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Out, well you can't do anything to him.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
TOO i.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
Know that's like the big box stores Like target and.
Stuff it's like in their policies where it's like if
you see someone stealing like, reported but like you can't
like chase after, them like the moment they walk out the,
door you can't go like grab them in the parking.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Lot and, like, WELL i don't know if you can
have a high speed chase In connecticut with. Police they.

Speaker 4 (30:37):
Can't they. Can't so if you're like on the highway,
cruising they just have.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
TO i.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Don't once, again it hadn't happened to me, experience, no, no,
No BUT i was told by a police. Officer he,
goes you, know because somebody was, involved something was stolen
out of a. Car AND i said to police, OFFICER i,
said can't you go after? Him he goes, like we
don't do high speed.

Speaker 4 (30:58):
Chases, HUH i guess is it because it's like the
more cars going fast and more dangerous it, is.

Speaker 3 (31:05):
And the dangerous everyone else around. You so it's like.
Tricky that's why if you see like a motorcycle going
super fast on the, HIGHWAY i one of my friend's
dad's a police, officers, like they're probably smuggling drugs from
state to state because they know they can't get pulled.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
Over, yeah so they just go one hundred and. Fifteen,
yeah what constitutess high speed chase is like over NINETY
i don't, know it seems up TO i guess it,
depends like where is like is it the base on
the speed? Limit like it's a twenty five mile fur hour?
Zone if you're going, sixty that's a high.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
Speed that'd be high speed. Chase.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Yeah, yeah this is not, useful just as someone flying
at a dangerously high. Speed, great, yeah, thanks we do,
that thank. YOU i don't see, anything but they definitely
cannot follow a. Motorcycle they're more inclined to do.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
It is that just a state by state thing because
you see high speed? Chases, like so.

Speaker 3 (31:55):
That's WHERE oj screwed. Up he should have been on a.
Motorcycle he was going.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Slow yeah that's.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
True, yeah he's had a gun do.

Speaker 2 (32:01):
It, yeah but he didn't do.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
It, No, no that's that's that's.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
Normal the way to attacked that way his book that.

Speaker 4 (32:09):
Like IF i did, it and the if is in
like size like forefont and then JUST i did.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
It.

Speaker 4 (32:14):
Yeah but one of the best running backs ever, Though yes.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
He was with two thousand yard season in twelve, games fourteen.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Games pretty.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
Good that's really.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Impressive pretty.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Good is there any part of you that thinks he
didn't Do, Nope, yeah that's pretty. Universal well he.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Didn't he didn't really spend a lot of money trying
to find the person or people that he was not very. Concerned,
no he was not unless they were in a at
the bottom of a golf. Hole you, know that's where
he might have been. Looking, yep not, Here i'm gonna
go to the next.

Speaker 4 (32:43):
Hole, nope not, here all, right and then they got.
Here it's funny that he ultimately got popped for trying
to steal his memorabilia, back WHICH i get that was
probably a makeup, call, right.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Yeah a little. Bit and then there apparently was a
makeup call after that to get him out of. Jail yeah, yeah,
Hello Hello.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
Twitter twitter was.

Speaker 4 (33:05):
Hit wasn't his first? Tweet like love the new golf?
GLOVE i got absolutely killed it on the. Course, yeah
that's that's.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Crazy, yeah that's. It we weren't fully, assembled BUT i
think we uh certainly made up for the loss here
Of Shane. Irving that was.

Speaker 4 (33:21):

days In. Tahoe, yeah probably the biggest ones that we've ever.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
HAD i wouldn't have guessed that if you asked me
to guess in, advance what like three would things would
go viral. THAT i don't think any of those.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
We've been on them assume like A barkley interview or.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Something, yeah IF i had interviewed the, COMMISSIONER i wouldn't
