Speaker 1 (00:00):
Park it right here, everybody. This is the Tailgate. This
is me, Joey p Joe Pi Zapia, and this is
a new channel here from the family of Fantasy Pros.
I've always said the best shows that we do are
the shows we do after the show, when we just
start talking football and continuing the conversations. And I thought
it would be a good idea to bring those conversations

(00:21):
to a whole new channel. And here we are. This
is it. It's the tailgate where we're gonna talk football,
We're gonna talk fantasy, we're gonna talk wagering, let's talk everything,
because well, that's part of what we do here. And
I think it's a high time that we started pulling
the curtain back a little bit on the Fantasy Pros
brand and letting everybody get a peek inside what we
really think about a lot of things. And what better

(00:41):
way to do that than when the mock draft. We
got free agency drop in here in a little while,
so lots of things are gonna be moving all over
to play. So before that all happens, we thought, let's
try to squeeze one more mock draft in before all
the chaos begins, and to help me do it. Two
of my best friends, Andrew Erickson, Big Pot Energy himself
and Derek Brown Debro the King of Bros. And guess
what we run in a special guest here from the

(01:02):
NFL Stock Exchange, you took a minute or two ringing
that bell for a second, and from pff, Trevor Sikkama, Trevor,
it's so great to see. How was the combine? Did
you eat at the steakhouse? Did you do the whole thing?
And did you run a forty?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Of course you have to do the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
I didn't run a forty, thankfully, because of all of
the steakhouse visits. You know, we're running a forty after that,
it probably wouldn't have gone well. But combine's always a
wonderful time, not only for the food, but also the
friendship and the intel that you get on a lot
of these players, so that these these mock chrafts become
a lot more accurate after the combine.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
So I'm excited to get into it with you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
What's your favorite part about doing that whole combine situation? Like,
because I mean, if people get to go there, we've
been there last year, Like, what is your favorite thing
about that is it is it just like interacting with
all the folks there, or is it like seeing that
one prospect kind of you know, pop off. What is
that for you?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
I mean it is a lot of things.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
I mean, personally, it is getting to see a lot
of my friends in person, you know, for probably like
the one time that it happens throughout the year, right,
I talked to so much people on social media and
through text message and all this because we're in the
same industry, but then that's the one time you actually
get to see these people in person. So it's getting
to have some really unique and fun guests on our
show at the PF channel, but then also getting to

(02:12):
go on a lot of other shows. It's just a
really fun way to link up with a lot of
people and to be honest, like as a draft guy
again a little selfishly like I love you know, like
my friends who cover the Bears, like, all right, I'll
go on their podcast. Then a little bit after the podcast,
maybe we're chit chatting about kind of exactly what we're
hearing that they might do and things like that, and
so it's a big intel gathering week for me as well.
But it's always the most fun because I get to

(02:33):
see my friends in this industry.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
So that's what makes a blast.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
It is weird. It's a weird part about this industry
where you just don't you see each other every day,
but you don't see each other every day, right exactly,
yet you feel so close like they know about your families,
they know about everything going on. Like like Derek and
I were talking about his eight year old birthday party
he threw this week not for Derek, by the way,
which would count. I'm sure Derek would take a Marvel
party or anything else. But you're throwing birthday parties over

(02:57):
the weekend, trying to make picks for this drafty bro.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
Yeah, man, I mean in between eight year old birthday
parties and trying to get presents and all the things
in line. And now I feel like we're right at home. Man,
we're theoretically letting our hair down here on the tailgate.
It's a good time, man.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Yeah, and Andrew Erickson, I mean I heard you were
a little slow making some picks. Because what happens is
you buy a house when you hit thirty, you get married,
and then you get a basement to finish and next thing,
you know, you're drinking IPAs. Like what happened to you?

Speaker 4 (03:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Basically that sums up my weekend. A lot of streaking
IPAs has a good time, but I mean best time now.
NFL Free Agency kicking off. Let's rock, all.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Right, drop your YouTube comments below. Do you like IPAs?
Do not like IPAs? I want to hear from you,
all right, and again, subscribe to the New Channels tailgate again.
We do things a little looser here, which is a
little bit more fun in light, but still the same hard,
hidden stuff that we always like to do. And we've
got two rounds for you today of the mock draft,
so we want to jump right in. Obviously, we haven't
been letting anybody make this pick quote unquote because it

(03:57):
seems like a foregone conclusion. So Trevor, we've gotten every
else's take on on the Fantasy Prost Channels already about
Fernando Mendoz. I'd love to hear your take about Fernando
las Vegas. The fit and what you think is feature
is going to be there.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
I like it and I think he's a worthy selection.
I really do.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I like Fernando more than I even likes cam Ward
last season. You know, I think that Cam has this
ceiling to be a franchise caliber quarterback, but there were
a lot of things I was worried about when it
came to even what we saw this past year with
the fumbles and taking sacks and holding onto the ball
for a really long time. And again, I still think
that Cam could be a really good quarterback in this league.
But if it was between the two, because a lot

(04:32):
of people always liked to compare, like, hey, how's this
class line up with the previous class or classes in
the past, I'd be taking for Nanda Mendoza over Cam Ward.
And so I feel like he is a worthy selection
specifically in this class for the Las Vegas Raiders, and
it makes a ton of sense.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Right.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
A couple of days ago we got the Max Crosby trade,
and when you look at this Raiders team, I think
they believed they were a little bit further along than
maybe the roster actually was.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Last season.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Obviously it did not go well with Pete Carroll and
the vision was not there for them, but I think
the with them moving on from Pete Carroll, with them,
you know, moving on from Gino Smith, it just trading
Max Crosby made the most sense for this team because
they have to totally rebuild in the image of now
their new general manager, their new head coach, and what
will be their new franchise quarterback. It is so rare

(05:15):
that you get all three of those major factors on
the same exact timeline. A lot of times it's like, ah,
the old GM's kind of sticking around, new head coach,
old quarterback. Sometimes as a new quarterback old GM, old
head coach who might be on their last leg. There's
a lot of different combinations of those three. But when
you get these three guys relatively new. I know spy
Tech was there last year, but for all intents and purposes,

(05:37):
basically the same timeline between all the three guys, it
gives you the ability to build the team the way
that you want and with the patience that you would want.
And so with that, I love the idea of them
taking Fernando and I think Raiders fans should be very
excited about it.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
You mentioned him, so I'm curious, what do you think
of the solid higher for camp Ward and squeeze that in.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
Yeah, I mean, I don't mind it. Obviously, the Callahan's
stuff last year was a disaster and did not go
to plan. You know, you had an offensive guy in there,
so you felt like that was gonna be a really
good combination for Ward.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
I don't mind Saw.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
I think the sala is a really good coach. Obviously
it didn't work in New York, but I mean it
didn't work in New York.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Well, it doesn't work because for anyone.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
For the Jets, right, and this thing is like, it
wasn't his side of the ball that was an issue.
Right for the first two years that he was there,
that defense was elite, And yeah, it took a step
back the final year once they knew that everything wasn't
going to work out. Specifically, though, the worry that I
have with Sala is defensive minded head coach. And of course,
if you're going to get an offensive coordinator, whether it's

(06:37):
the guy that they have now or Hey, if they
have sex success next year, guess what's going to happen.
That offense coordinator is gonna get pach for a head
coaching job. And then if they have success again with
the next guy that comes in, guess what, that guy's
gonna get pached for a head coaching job. And so
that's The ultimate big worry is that you now have
a franchise quarterback with a defensive minded head coach. So

(06:58):
the second you start to have success cam Ward, all
the headlines are going to be, well, this guy's a
hot candidate for head coach. Look what he did with
cam Ward the year after, same thing, same thing, same thing.
So I think that's that's if I have a big
worry about solid Tennessee, it's that I'm not really worried
about kind of who he is as a leader and
a head coach.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
I think that part will be fine.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, great leader, a good football guy. And Deebro and
I especially prove of the coaching staff because they're all bald. Deebro,
what the hell is with the hat? This morning I
was called my entire coaching staff is bald. I know,
we have a picture of it. Throw the picture up
of all the bald coaching staff of the Tennessee Titans.
I love it. It's the most handsome coaching staff in
the history of the NFL. All right, let's go to
the second overall pick here, and because Trevor you're our guest,

(07:37):
you kick things off here with the Jets. The aforementioned
number two pick here overall in the first round. What
do you want to give them here at number two?

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Well, I had the wrong tab open, so hold on,
now I'm opening the correct tap. Ve ree He gave
him Arvel Reeves. Arvel Reeves is who I went with
here at number two overall. Now, this is a more
predictive mock. This isn't If I was making the selection,
I'd be taking Ruben Bain. I like Ruby Bain more
than I like Rville Rees. But it just feels as
though they want to get a lot faster, moving to

(08:04):
more of a three to four. It makes sense for
them to go with an outside linebacker type of an
edge rusher. We know that Will McDonald can play that
four I defensive end spot because he did a lot
at Iowa State. Excuse me, So getting somebody who's a
pure pass rusher typelet in a play in space, Arville
Reese at number two to the Jets.

Speaker 1 (08:21):
All right, ericson. It seems like at number three, there's
already some buzz that Jeremiah Love could go that early.
But that's not what you did for the Cardinals. So
what did you give him?

Speaker 5 (08:28):
Well, because Jeremi I Love didn't go to Ohio State.
And when you look at Monte Austin for he likes
the draft in the first round. He likes to draft
buck guys. So two of the three drafts Austin fort
with the first pick that the Cardinals have had in
the first round, Marvin Harrison junior, Paris Johnson junior, what
the guy I have in common? Both went to Ohio State.
So consider we have like eight Ohio State buck guys

(08:49):
who are going.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
To be top ten everybody whole first round.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Bro, I think that there's gonna be a buck out.
It's going to be an Arizona Cardinal when it's all
said and done. So for me, I'm gonna put Sonny
Styles there. They just need help so much on the
defensive side of the football. They cut a Keem Davis
Gather and he was their linebacker that played the most
snaps for them last year. So they have a need
for that position that you need to get better overall

(09:13):
at defense. And I think that this Buckey's connection to Arizona,
I think that's real. Austin Ford has shown that, Hey,
I like the draft these types of players. They even
drafted a linebacker from Ohio State last year. Cody Simon
in the fourth round, so maybe he has some more
intel about some of these types of players. So for me,
it's going to be Sunny Styles. After he blew up
the combine, it's going to be a top five pick.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
This is the longest Derek's ever been quiet to start
a show, So let's let him talk here. At four,
Tennessee Titans are up, debro what do you have?

Speaker 4 (09:40):
I mean, we talked about Robert Sala at length here
and I'm just going to give him a trench player.
I mean, we have to address this pass rush. I
know they already got Jermaine Johnson, but after twenty twenty six,
he's an unrestricted free agent, so really that's just a
short term solution. Let's put Johnson and team in with
David Bailey Edge out of Texas Tech.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
All right, Trevor, We've got a whole pick now with
taking some of them from Ohio State. So you want
to get back in there with the Giants.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
Yeah, I actually am going to get back in there
with the Giants at number five. You know this pick,
there's so many different things that are on the board
here for the New York Giants, new corners, an option
offensive lines and option, a best player available type of approach,
you know, a wide receiver, whatever it is. Free agency
is going to give us a much clearer picture of

(10:23):
what the Giants are going to hone in on. So
there's a lot of different routes that they could go
here on the eve of free agency. But I'm gonna
go with Carnell Tate, the wide receiver from Ohio State.
I'm not really too worried about the four five three
forty yard dash. It's not that big of a deal.
I think that it was much more of a I
think that the forty yard dash was much more of
a missed opportunity for him than it necessarily was anything

(10:44):
that changes your mind in a negative and the way
and the reason I say that is because Jordan Tyson
didn't work out, mkayle Lemon didn't work out. So if
Carnell Tait runs a four to three nine, a four
to four flat, a four four one, he's basically going
to be wide receiver one. That the argument and then
would have gone away at that point. But I just
think it's that missed opportunity because it's lower forty time. Okay,

(11:05):
now it's still that conversation between those three wide receivers
doesn't make Calon will take any less of a prospect.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
That's why I'm taking him here at number five overall.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
But we'll see what the Giants' biggest needs are after
free agency.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
All right, Cleveland Browns Andrew Erckson, you're up on the clock.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
I'm not gonna take a tack or a wide receiver
because that's what everyone else penciling in. For the Cleveland Browns,
I think they're gonna be the best player available because
they should more picks. They have another first round pick,
they have an early second round pick, so we again
to Ron Mock, we can address those needs elsewhere. So
I'm gonna go with Caleb Downs. But then he has
fallen to a point where the Browns can't pass up
on him. They have a new defensive coordinator coming in,

(11:40):
Mike Rutenberg, stemming from the Robert Salad Jeff Olbrich trees.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
You look at.

Speaker 5 (11:44):
Olbrick last year with the Atlanta Falcons. Who are two
players that really popped off Rookie Xavier Watts, monster rookie
season for a rookie safety and Jesse Watts. So I
are excuse me, Jesse Bates. So I think that a
safety might play a bigger role in this Browns defense
in twenty twenty six, and I think that Kale downs
can obviously be the staple of that unit.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Quick question, everybody, because we just had four Ohio State
goes go in the first six picks, which is pretty amazing.
The record, by the way, for most first round picks
from one school was six players from one school in
the first round. Can you name those two teams? And yes,
Andrew Rickson, you were born already for both of these.
I'm just putting that out there. Anybody want to. I
feel like Trevor would know this. I feel like all
the PFF stats floating around this is something Trevor would know.

(12:28):
So most first round picks.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Six from one team in one first round?

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Top of twice.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
It's happened twice.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Miami's got to be one of them.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Bright Miami, Which team? Do you remember? Which one? What year?

Speaker 3 (12:39):
I mean, is it is it the one team or
is it something that the Jimmy four you were okay, okay.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
You know what, I would have sad Jimmy Johnson. Ever
two I would have thought like, oh my god.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
This teams were just loaded one of the two and
then man.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
It was the U part two. That's when.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah, and then is the other one recent or no?

Speaker 1 (12:56):
Pretty recent? Yeah, I would say I was gonna.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Say, I was gonna say, is it Albama Georgia?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
It's one of those two?

Speaker 2 (13:02):
De Bro did okay?

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Oh see, my guess was gonna be able to shoot
during the the mega run? I was also I was
also gonna do it was it was I'll go Alabama
because it was Alabama twenty two, Alabama Waddles, Sir Tan
DeVonta Smith, Mac Jones.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Alex Wow.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
The Hurricanes. Here's it listened. The Hurricanes names talk about
like higher Sean Taylor, Kellen Winslow, Jonathan Vilma, DJ Williams,
Vernon Casey, and Vince Wilfork. Those are the six names.
So not bad, some funny and not some pretty good
players mixed there. Sean Taylor's pretty good. Have you never
saw Sean Taylor? Kids? Go YouTube some some highlights there and.

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Like, yeah, maybe just a Pro Bowl one.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Yeah, all right, let's get through to washing Commanders at seven. Debro,
you're on the clock.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
Here, Yeah, man, I got to stop the fall for
Jeremiah Love here like there's a lot of talk about
he could go as high as like top top three,
Like maybe he goes to the Giants, he makes it
to the Commanders, and I don't think. I don't think
they let him get past here. I mean, right now
on their depth chart, Chris Rodriguez a restricted free agent.
The only running back they have on the depth chart

(14:06):
is ja Cory Krossky Merrit Jeremiah Love. Look, I know
this team has a ton of needs on both sides
of the ball, and they got old really fast. You
can't tell me it's not gonna be fun have Jane
Daniels and Jeremiah Loves sharing the same exact freaking backfield.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Man, Oh, I'd like it, especially because you saw, you know,
last year such a pivot with all the down quarterback
play and experienced quarterback play. It was so run heavy
last year. I don't see that going away anytime soon.
So a guy like Jeremiah love this era of the NFL.
So what did that do? Like in fantasy drafts, Let's
just say, you know, just that curiosity, like, how high
would he go? In your opinion?

Speaker 4 (14:39):
Do you think overall, I think he's gonna slip to
like the second round because people got burned so bad
on gent last year, so they're gonna be a little
bit hesitant and I'll draft.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Do you think that's wrong? I think you think that's right.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
I think it's wrong too, It's very wrong. Love is
a ridiculous talent, like out of the last like ten years.
I mean, he's got to be a top five running
back as far as prospect. Let's go, all right, let's
get to the next pick here. The Saints are up next,
and Trevor got this.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Pick, so excuse me for the Saints.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
This is where I'm going to have one of my
favorite players in the class go off the board, and
that is a Rubin Main junior, who excuse me. I
think that his overall size, strength, speed, that whole combination.
It would have been more perfect if Dennis Allen was
still there as their defensive coordinator. But even with him
not being there, Bain's ability to play inside and out

(15:29):
makes a ton of sense.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
If Jeremiah Love was here, I think that they would
consider him.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Perhaps they would consider a wide receiver here as well,
but just an elite run defender Elite PFF run defense
grade to go along with an elite passers grade as
well past tween percentage above twenty three percent this past season.
He is the defensive lineman that I think the New
Orleans Saints are really missing. And I think that Chase
Young has gotten better as his career has gone on,
which has been nice to see, but especially with them

(15:55):
moving on from from Cam Jordan, they need somebody that
they can rely on on on that defensive line outside
of just Carl Granderson and Chase Young. So Reuben Bain
their defensive line for the New Orleans Saints.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
Speaking of twenty twenty one, that's the last time that
the Saints took an edge rusher in the first round.
Mister Saint, do you know who that was?

Speaker 4 (16:18):
Guessing? Marcus Davenport?

Speaker 1 (16:19):
No, that was twenty eighteen. Peyton Turner.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Peyton, thank you and thank you for that one. Make
you a little bit nice?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Did I salary you this morning? I love how you
going to write the Davenport I oh, must be Davenport.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
No team is he on? Peyton Turner?

Speaker 1 (16:36):
I think he's on the Ramark team somewhere, serving the
good folks everywhere at stadiums all over.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
What team is he on?

Speaker 4 (16:44):
He somewhere? Right?

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Yeah, he's got to be in the NFL.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
That's the question.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
All right, Oh my gosh, is where is he?

Speaker 1 (16:57):
I told you he's working now, No Cowboys. Okay, you
had the right state. You were close.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
That kind of makes sense.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
You're definitely in the vein there, all right. Next one
up here, Andrew Erickson goes here for the Kansas City Chiefs.
So Chiefs were rocket and rolling here. They got the
nine pick here, and then they made some movies this
off season, already trading McDuffie here to get some more
draft capitals. So what do they do here at this pick.

Speaker 5 (17:19):
Yeah, they're gonna find another cornerback that they can play
for much cheaper than Trent McDuffie. After you signed that
big mega extension with the Los Angeles Rams, So they're
gonna go with mansor delaying cornerback from LSU again kind
of the consensus. CB one in the class, and the
Chiefs get a guy a starter they can plug and
play right away and they don't have to pay him
millions and millions and millions of dollars like McDuffie's getting

(17:40):
from the Rams.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Fair enough cheaper. This is the beginning of the blood
letting of the Chiefs salaries. More to come today, tomorrow,
the rest of the year. It's all coming down, all right,
Let's get to the Bengals at ten here, Deebro, you
have this pick here Bengals obviously, but did you see
that live stream stuff too, Jamar Chase hearing about the
Max Crosby trade, Debro, did you catch that on? So? No,
I did not catch the He was like, Trevor, you

(18:01):
know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
I don't. I didn't see it either.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
I saw this last night. The more online I get, really,
you gotta even get more online.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
I know, I know, I know.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
So apparently he was like live streaming, playing some game
or something, and like he Joe Burrow texted him about
it and I can't say it on the channel basically,
but it was the same os over s oh ohs,
like over and over and over again. And I think
that was probably Joe Burrows sentiment too. I would imagine
Bengals pick what do you have here?

Speaker 4 (18:32):
I mean, I feel like, because of the conversation here,
I need to give them an old lineman. But they
can't get after the quarterback at all.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Man.

Speaker 4 (18:39):
I mean, Shamar Stewart is still just a raw project.
They have to get a refined or a more refined
edge rusher. I'm gonna give him, Keldrick Falk. I know
we had a run on edge and it's kind of
drying up very quickly. I wish ruben Bain would have
filed them. Didn't happen. But Keldrick Falk, they have to
address this pass rush since he had the tenth lowest
pressure rate. Joseph Asai gone. Very interesting way to fumble

(19:01):
the bag there. Since he he's gone, they have to
address the pass rush fulk is a good addition, all right?

Speaker 1 (19:07):
Next up here as we go. You know, I was
thinking too, like the last time the Chiefs had a
top ten draft pick. Just going back to the Chiefs
pick twenty seventeen. Man, that's a long time. Oh wow,
you know that's a ways, that's a ways of ways.
All right. Miami's up next here after the Cincinnati pick
at eleven here, So Trevor, obviously Miami's got a lot
of needs to new coaches go to trenches here.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
I imagine, Yeah, I'm gonna go trenches here because Jeff
Affley talked about that. I believe it was in his
introductory press conference about just emphasizing the trenches. And we've
seen them move on from Tchua Tongua Bai Loa, They've
moved on from Miga Fitzpatrick. I mean there are just
they've already moved on from Jaalen phil Was in the
middle of last year, and then Bradley Chubb during the
earlier parts of this offseason. Like they are truly tearing

(19:49):
this team down to the studs. And anytime that you
do that, that means that your first round pick coming
up is going to be in the trenches. And they've
already done some work in the trenches with Kenneth Grant,
Jordan Phillips, Chop Robinson over the last couple of years.
Offensive line is where I think they really need to focus.
So Francis Malino, the offensive lineman I'll just say overall
from Miami, who I think can step in and play

(20:09):
tackle for them if they need him to. But he
is one of those players who I think gives you
that flexibility to be able to play guard and tackle
and played at a pretty high level. So I really
do believe that Miami is going to hone in on
the trenches. Given what Hafley said at his press conference,
and then how they have acted since.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
All Right, Dallas Cowboys up next home with Peyton Turner
for the twelfth pick. Eric ericson, You're.

Speaker 5 (20:29):
Up next, home of Peyton Turner and Rashaan Gary Cowboys
the Great So I feel pretty good about Dallas's up front.
You know, their pass rush I think is still pretty good.
They have Quinn Williams kind of anchoring that in tier.
It's that secondary that just needs so much help. So
I'm gonna give him a safet year. Dylan Thieneman from Oregon.

(20:49):
Donovan Wilson led the team in snaps played, and he's
a free agent. Lake Hooker is the last year of
his deal. None of these guys were good last year
either for the Dallas Cowboys, so they just need help
getting guys covered in the back end when the past
rush doesn't hit home. Help new defensive coordinator Christian Parker.
So them n from Oregon is the guy, all right?

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Next up here the Rams with a couple picks there
when they had a Cole picks and not anymore. They
trade won to Kansas City. So the Rams now with
this one pick from Atlanta. Boy, Atlanta really wasn't the
best decision in hindsight that move, h de bro, what
do you want to do here for the Rams? Take
advantage of.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
This well though the Rams are still thanking James Pearce
and Terry Foto for this, but dude, they have They're
gonna this team is gonna go this year as far
as Matthew Stafford can carry them, and they have to
keep him up right, I'm gonna give him offensive tackle
Monroe Freeling just a freak athlete. Have Havenstein retired and
everybody's you know, in the mentions on YouTube and stuff

(21:43):
like war mc clindon played really well. Dude, He's in
the final year of his contract. So this is a
perfect spot with this high of a pick. You talk
about the Kansas City Chiefs drafting high, the Rams a
lot of years don't even have first round picks or
they're not drafting high. This is a wonderful spot to
address the offensive line. Speak offensive line, Let's talk about
Las Vegas because a fifteen here, if you're going to

(22:04):
take you know, Foranana Mendoza and everybody knows the offensive
line is going to be issue no matter what they
do in free agency, they still need more help. So Trevor,
how do you help them protect Trevor? How do you
help them protect Fernana Mendoza Here?

Speaker 2 (22:16):
After this pick, I'm going to go offensive line.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
And I think that this was the debate that they
had last off season.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Right do you take ash Chanty? Do you take an
offensive lineman?

Speaker 3 (22:24):
You know, guys like Kelvin Banks, you know he was
on the board for them, or at your arm On Membo.
There was the conversation at least of those guys, and
do you take them over gent? I think they believe
their offensive line was further along than what it actually was.
I also don't feel as though the coaching staff coached
them very well, and so it was everybody not playing
super well. But I do think that it showed that
they need to upgrade. And Spencer Fano is my guy here.
I think the Fano much like the conversation that I

(22:46):
had with Francis Malinola a couple of picks ago, I
think you've ben all pro type of a guard for you,
somebody who could start for a long time at that spot,
his body control, his his athletic ability, especially for teams
like the one that Kick Kubiak is going to run
and where you're running a lot of mid and outside
zone stuff. He's probably the best offensive lineman in the
draft for that type of a scheme, So to me,

(23:07):
I look at offensive line here. Anytime you have an
additional first round pick, something that's a bonus if you
thought investing in the premium positions was ideal before. Anytime
that you have an additionally a free first round pick,
if you will, it's almost always best case scenario to
use that on either true BPA or a premium position
like a pass rusher or a pass protector. So I'm

(23:29):
gonna go with Spencer Fano here for the Raiders. With
that new pick here fourteen.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Ericson, you kind of went a little different direction here
with the next pick for Tampa at fifteen. Let's talk
about Kenyan Sadik here. I like this pick. Let's talk
about the reasons why you made this one.

Speaker 5 (23:41):
Well, I think part of it is going best player available, right,
you talk about Kenyne Sadik from Oregon to tight end.
He kind of view it as a top twenty, top
fifteen guy. Well, we're picking fifteenth overall here and he's
still on the board. So I think that this is
a good fit for the Buccaneers. They need a tight end.
Potentially Kada And is hitting free agency, so TVD on
whether he he's going to return back to the Buccaneers.
Mike Evans his status is still up in the air,

(24:03):
but he's also kind of playing on a year to
year basis, right, how many more years is he going
wing to play in the NFL? So I think last
year it was kind of a shock that the Buccaneers
went with like Buka, then they had Evans, they had Godwin,
and they just drafted the best offensive skill player. Maybe
they just running back and complete the three year trifecta
of the Buccaneers drafting skilled players from Oregon two years
ago Buckeer being running back, last year wide receiver Tes Johnson.

(24:28):
Let's complete the trifector with a tight end from Oregon
not even twenty one years old yet just oozing with
upside and just kive Baker Mayfield another weapon.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
All right, debro That puts the Jets up in now
at sixteen. So they went defense on that first pick
there with Reese. So where do they go with this one?

Speaker 4 (24:42):
We're back to the trenches, man. I mean that John
Sinson and Elijah via Tucker are both unrestricted free agents.
Aaron Glenn's gonna love the ferocity that oliviego Olia. I
can't freaking say his name, of course.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
All right, you go one more shot than you're off
the show. Oh all right, Derek, thanks for hanging out
with us today. I hope you're gorn to make the
rest of these picks there for de Broe.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Hey, look, I see yourself. I can't say the full name.

Speaker 1 (25:10):
I said it, but it really wasn't on camera. Doesn't
count if he doesn't say it on camera. At Trevor,
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
I can't say the full first name either, Like I
just say vague.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
I usually say ve ol.

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Well you tried, you tried. Yeah, that's a try.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
But anyway, Guard out of Penn State invested the trenches.
Both these guys are restricted free agents. I'm gonna stop
talking for a second.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
That's good number seventeen Detroit Lions, Miami Edge rusher here
mesadores the way you went, Trevor, let's talk about this pick.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Yeah, this is one of my favorite prospects in the draft.
I understand he's gonna be an older prospect, he's gonna
be about twenty five years old, but specifically he is
a ready made pass rusher, and for a team that
is already in a winning window, I think that he
is fully worth a first round pick. So Detroit's got
some offensive line needs that they that they're gonna have
on the table as well that they're going to consider here.
But with the offensive line kind of following the way

(26:01):
that it did, I like the edge edition here opposite
Aiden Hutchinson for Mesador, who is one of the best
pass rushers in college football last year.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
All Right, the Vikings at eighteen ericson what do they
help with?

Speaker 5 (26:12):
They need a safety because I saw Harrison Smith at
the brewery drinking the IPA s well because he's thirty
seven years old.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Nice, don't know if this guy he's finished his basement though,
not like you.

Speaker 5 (26:21):
He's fan sometime soon. So Emmanuel McNeil, Warren safety from Toledo.
This team just sees another safety here. So that's what
I'm going with.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
You know, Harrison Smith, he's at the point where he
puts the tap downstairs in the basement of the IPA.
That's where he's at. He's got the whole caggerator system,
He's got the whole thing going on. Has his friend
going Onzie Minnesota. So that's true. That's pretty very good.
All right. Next up, Carolina Panthers at nineteen, debro that
pick is yours man. Nick Gorton had a really solid

(26:51):
rookie season, but that's not going to keep the Panthers
away from drafting another edge.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Give him t J. Parker edge out of Clemson. He
can get after the quarterback man and Carolina sorely needs us.
This poor poor defense had the second lowest pressure rate
last year. I mean, it's so poor, but yes, let's
get them t J. Parker man, can I have some
wall pants?

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Rush? Please? Governor or pass rush.

Speaker 5 (27:16):
Let's get Knells out there with a bowl.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Seriously, all right, let's go back to the Cowboys at
twenty year Trevor, you have this pick?

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Uh? So for the Cowboys at twenty, who we take?
Who do we have them taking?

Speaker 4 (27:28):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Theenami?

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Athenam at twelve. I'm gonna go with Avion Terrell here
at number twenty.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
I understand that this is back to back cornerback selections,
but especially with them adding Rashaan Gary, I feel like
they have the additions that they're looking for on the
defensive line now that they couldn't take defensive line here
if it fell for them, but instead I feel like
it was the opposite were corner and secondary was ripe
for them. Both the pick number twelve and pick number twenty.
I think Avionterrell is just an underrated cornerback in this

(27:53):
class that you played inside out. He's got a dog
mentality to him. He didn't have that length, but man,
he's got so many reps on the outside. Is as
one of the best corners in college football, really good
run defender.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Shoot.

Speaker 3 (28:05):
I think that he could even be better than his brother, A. J. Sprell,
to be honest with you, praise I know, I know,
and Torell's Drell's best year is like Pro Bowl caliber,
but his down year I think is lower than what
his brothers would be. I think his brother's got a
higher floor and probably an equally high ceiling. So I
really like this addition for him here at number twenty,

(28:26):
even though it's doubled have be in the secondary.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
All right, let's get to the next pick here. Tea
is that the Steelers need a wide receiver. Which wide
receiver ericson did you give them?

Speaker 5 (28:35):
I gave them Jordan Tyson wide receiver from Arizona State.
And that's because under Arizona State, who is he coached
under hinz Ward knows a thing or two about the
Pittsburgh Steelers. So I think there's an intel connection there
between Jordan Tyson and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I don't care
if there's any type of overlap and skill set with
d kon mchalf. I think that he's the best wide

(28:56):
receiver here on the more in Pittsburgh just needs to
destinately upgrade that number two wide receiver spot. So it's
Tyson to the Steelers now, Trevor.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
I don't know if you know this, but Andrew Ericson
we call him the Charlie Day around here because you
know that always sun in Philadelphia meme where he's got
all the the points of contact points he knows, like
he'll dig deep into like you know this was you know,
in fourth grade his flag football coach. His uncle ended
up working for the Steelers, and next thing like, he
knows all those things. So you just we just slap

(29:25):
his face on the Charlie Day meme and it work again.
You have a Charlie Day quality. Sometimes can you grow
the beard though, Andrew, that's the question. I don't know.

Speaker 5 (29:32):
I mean I can grow something, it does not look
like a beard.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
You know what we should do this year in season deepro,
I think we shouldn't have him like do playoff beard,
like when we get the January, just to see what
it looks like by the super Bowl. I just want
to see what it looks like, see if you can
grow it out.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
I don't think Eric's.

Speaker 5 (29:49):
Start is not going to approve.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Of Oh no, you'd be batished to the basement with
your I p a s.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
All right, so so funny funny story about beards. If
if I were to shave my beard, I'd be such
a baby face.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
I mean me and Andrew would we be twins?

Speaker 4 (30:07):
Truly?

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (30:08):
And I could not grow any sort of facial hair
at all until I was like, uh, probably around like
twenty five or twenty six.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
And then the.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Second that I could, I just sort of like let
it go. I was like, you know what, I'm just
gonna see what we got here. I have never been
clean shaven since.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
You just got to go.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
I've never been clean shaven since.

Speaker 3 (30:31):
My wife, for as long as we have known each other,
has never seen me clean shaven. And so like I
I always am like, God, you know what, I kind
of want to just I kind of want to just
shave it all off.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
She's just like, see, Andrew, you just gotta let it go.
That's more.

Speaker 4 (30:43):
I would be divorced if I shaved my face, That's right.

Speaker 5 (30:51):
Yeah, I bald.

Speaker 1 (30:52):
Guys. We gotta grow the beard reason a little sometimes,
because you got it's got something to drag the attention
down a little bit, all right. Next up here, after
the Steelers go wide receiver, the Chargers are up next, Debro.
That pick is yours.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
So I know they brought Khalil Mack on a one
year deal, but it's just that it's a one year deal.
Oway is probably out the door. They need a young
pass rusher. I'm gonna get them Zion young Edge out
of Missouri because Khalil Mack can't play forever, and I
don't see them bringing Way back on the massive contract
that he's going to command a free agency.

Speaker 1 (31:23):
All right. So after that selection, here we go back
to the Philadelphia Eagles at twenty three here and Trevor,
you have this pick.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
Yeah, I'm gonna take Cayden Proctor, the offensive tackle from Alabama.
I think I've taken three offensive lineman now that I
feel have really nice guard tackle flexibility, And I think
a lot of people see that as a negative, right
They go like, oh, well, that just means you don't
think he's a very good tackle. And it's like, yeah,
I think that there's maybe some limitations as to why
I think that they might not be able to play
tackle right For France Smouy, No, it's more of the

(31:50):
overall body type and the lack of length. Spencer Fono,
it's kind of the same way Caden Proctor is. You
have the foot quickness to be able to play tackle.
But I think people need to remember, like there is
you in versatility right like that Like obviously obviously we
all want them to be Tristan Wirfs, right like we
all want them to be the offensive tackles that you
never have to worry about.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
But guess who one of the.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
More underrated players in all free agency is right now?
So Elijah Verah Tucker. Why because he's built like a guard,
but he could play tackle for you. And if Elijah
Vera Tucker didn't have the injury history that he has
missing that time, the Jets would no question be making
him one of the highest paid players on his team.
So I just want to say that, like, there is
this negative stigma that is there with guys who you

(32:34):
talk about as guard tackle flexibility players. But if it's
if it's if it's quite literally true that they are
serviceable at both of these spots. If they are good,
even if they're like good or great at one of them,
likely guard, and then you can play them at offensive tackle.
It's just incredibly valuable for your team. So, like the
Eagles know that, I think they'll have a right tackle
need soon with Lane Johnson here in the next couple

(32:57):
of years, likely retiring.

Speaker 2 (32:58):
So Kaden Proctor to the to the.

Speaker 1 (33:00):
When no Lane Johnson too, that's gonna be real difficult.
And some year it's coming up sooner than later too.
It feels like we're on that horizon, all right. Cleveland's
up next is their second pick. This is when they
got from Jacksonville, so Erickson they made their smart pick
with the first one, the BPA, So what do they
do now here a little luxury pick.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
I'm gonna address one of the biggest needs, not the
offensive line, but wide receiver. Gonna go with Makaile Lemon
from USC winner of the blittannikopp Award last year. Models
this game after a'man ross Saint Brown when I watched him,
kind of round me a little bit of Golden Tate.
So he's an exciting player, and I think that he
brings some dog mentality to the dog pound, so Cleveland Browns,

(33:34):
McKay lemon.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
He certainly brings it to the podium too. He got
the style points. What do you think of the style points?
Were we there for that, Trevor, were you're in the
scrumb I wasn't.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
I wasn't there specifically for that, but obviously I saw
like the pictures and everything afterwards.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Anyways, Like I don't care, He's one of my favorite
prospects to me.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
To me, it's just he's just an intense dude. Like
some people like, oh he's a weird dude. I just
think he's an intense dude at everything that he does.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Wide receivers are all like different position just it's kind
of like relieve pictures of baseball. They're just they're wired different. Man.

Speaker 1 (34:09):
I don't know, he was like he was hitting me
up like Ello cool J in the nineties, like hitting
on a girl at a bar or something like That's
that that was the feeling you got. He was like, yeah,
come on, girl, I'm wide receiving. You say about forty
time girl, M that's right, you know it. I know
he's also not ll cool. You know what cool?

Speaker 4 (34:29):
I need you to work on your own.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
I did meet that cool j once. True story, serious
ExM radio when I was working there. Oh yeah, yeah,
him and his entourage. Nice guy, very nice guy. Not
as tall as you would think he is. He's a
big guy, but he's not super tall. Fun fact. There
you go. This is why you come to the tail gate.
You get to hear these stories. All right, Chicago Bears
are up next. De Bro, you have this picure of
twenty five.

Speaker 4 (34:51):
I mean, I think this is easy. Just to fill
in the man. Tremaine Edteran's gone, DeMarco Jackson's also an
unrestricted free agent. Let's get Anthony Hill linebacker out of Texas.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
All right. So Buffalo got their wide receiver or a
wide receiver in DJ Moore. There's a lot of different
opinions about that. Trevor. I don't know where you stand here.
I don't know if you want to give them another
wide receiver or if you want to go defensive here
with with the Buffalo Bills. But like some people think, oh,
this is a great move Dj Moore, and they keep
pointing to, well, the last two years haven't been good.
And I keep pointing to the last couple of years.
It was a first year rookie quarterback of Caleb Williams,

(35:21):
a terrible head coach situation, and b the second year,
new system and new things going on there, and the
ball didn't really always go his way. So I still
think DJ Moore has got a lot in the tank.
What do you think of the DJ Moore trade? And
what do you think of this pick here.

Speaker 3 (35:32):
For Buffalo now independently adding DJ Moore to this team,
I mean he's wide receiver one for them now. They
like to run things through Dalton Kincaid, So like Kinkaid
might end up being like the high target player for
them if he's sold healthy. But no, I think that
like independently, it's a good ad for Buffalo. I think
they very much overpaid for this player. Like for you
to give him that contract and pay him that money

(35:52):
and give it give us give up a second round
pick for him, I mean you are you are having
to pay the price for missing on wide receiver like
heavily at that point.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
So I think they also broke the market a little
bit for the other guy. I can you know now
like a J. Brown wants to go yeah.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Right, it's tricky now, right, So that's that's they They
way overpaid for him. But Buffalo is in a weird
situation where I think they look at like this is
obviously before the Max Crosby deal to the Ravens, but
I think they look at the AFC and they go, Okay,
New England's not going to be as good as they
were this year when it comes to their record because
they're going to be playing a first play schedule. The

(36:32):
Chiefs are still kind of in this rebuilding thing, and
Mahome is going to be coming off of that knee injury,
so it's not a full healthy year of Mahomes. We'll
see if the Chargers can build a team the way
that they need to. The Bengals are a mess, even
with Joe Burrow. Like again, like this is before the
Max Crosby deal, so it's like, all right, the Ravens
are a little influx now that John Harball is not there.
So I think the Bills looked at this and said, like,

(36:52):
we're at the tail end of our winning window right
now with our current team, Like we have to win,
like the Bills have to win the Super Bowl neck
or I think that a lot of stuff really just
starts to change as they turn the page, even with
the coaching staff kind of already changed.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
So anyways, I think they gave up too much.

Speaker 3 (37:08):
But here at twenty six, I'm going to have them
take a linebacker who I think is ready to come
in and play pretty well right away, and that's c. J.

Speaker 2 (37:14):
Allen from Georgia.

Speaker 3 (37:15):
The linebacker level for them just was not nearly good
enough last year, and so he's somebody who ID think
gets to solidify that eric soon.

Speaker 1 (37:21):
What do the forty nine ers do at twenty seven?

Speaker 5 (37:23):
They're going to draft the next Deebo Samuel Omar Cooper
junior from Indiana. Great yards out of the catch type
of wide receiver first in the class and broke and
tackle rate after the catch per Sports Info Solution. So
I know they're in the market for a wide receiver.
With Brandon Ayuk not coming back, Juwan Jennings probably also
leaving in free agency. Ricky Piersoll we like the talent,

(37:44):
but can't stay healthy. So they add to the receiver
room with a guy that's dynamic with the ball in
his hands.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
All right, let's go to the Houston Texans the twenty
eight de bro It's been a long time time for
another Ohio State guy.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Huh, I think it is. And a lot of people
would put like an offensive lineman here. They Houston has
needs on the d line too, like Sheldon Rankins unrestricted
free agent Tim Settle. Same thing I'm gonna give hi
Kay McDonald defensive tackle at Ohio State. This guy was
first in PFF undefense grade. I think Demiko Ryans is
gonna love him.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
I'm disappointed. We're not gonna break the wrecker or tie it.
So this is the last Ohio State guy spoiler everybody
for the first round. So we're gonna fall just a
little short of that, Trevor. Let's go back to you
here with Kansady chiefs now picking again in the first
round number twenty nine.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
Yeah, so I'll go Kayleb Banks here, who I will
admit is very much a boomer bust type of a prospect,
but him getting to work with Steve Spagnolo is a
situation that I at least like with him landing in
Kansas City. I think that the Chris Jones comps for
Kayleb Banks are way, way, way, way, way too overblown.
I think more realistic one is maybe like Travis Jones,

(38:49):
given the length and size that he has, and I
think that that's still a really good football player. Travis
Jones was good for the Ravens specifically this past season.
But the worry is that he's another Jawon Kim Law,
you know, just this massive player, extreme athlete at his size,
but really couldn't put it together in terms of his
overall consistency. Again, though, I like him back into the
first round more than I like him anywhere near the
top twenty, top fifteen, something like that. And I think

(39:11):
here with the Chiefs having this extra first round pick,
I think this gives you a chance to take a
swing on a player like this. So I'll go Caleb
Banks from Florida.

Speaker 1 (39:19):
All right. The Denver Broncos recently knocked down a bunch
of the Nick Benito roomer. I thought I saw that.
I was like, welly the hell they're trying to trade him? Obviously,
they came out and said we're not so as how
rumors get started, I don't know, Andrew Erickson, what's a
rumor here for you? For Denver? At thirty, we go.

Speaker 5 (39:33):
With Peter Woods, defensive lineman from Clemson, although they're going
to keep Nick Benido, John Franklin Myers is probably going
to leave in free agency, just so getting another big
body in that interior also can rush a little bit
on the outside as well, So just replacement up front
for the Broncos.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
This is unfortunate, Andrew, because the next pick is the Patriots,
and we gave it to Derek on this show, and
I hate what he's done here. I hate it.

Speaker 4 (39:57):
Why do you hate it? But I'm telling you this
is a wonderful pick. And I'm curious ericson and and
Trevor's thoughts here, but I'm giving them wide receiver Casey
Conceptsy on whether or not they trade for A J. Brown.
If they trade for AJ Brown, this is a wonderful fit.
Conceptsion has inside outside versatility. I think you could play
on the outside eighty percent of snaps like he could
beat man coverage. He's a fantastic freaking route runner. Joe

(40:20):
hates him, but I'm curious on Trevor and ericsons here.

Speaker 1 (40:23):
Well, I think he's small, I think he'll I think
he'll play for a few years in the NFL. And
I think he's wide receiver three guns. I figure that
I don't know. Dee Bro and I agree on a
lot of things, which is unfortunate a lot most of
the time. But the fact that we disagree is fun
on this guy, and it's again as a player, hard
nos player, tough player tape is pretty good. I worry

(40:44):
about the size of concept she own personally, and because
I've seen these kind of guys come through the NFL
before and they just can't get it done. And to me,
it's also not what Drake may needs now do. I
like it? Could I live with it if you already
had your other selection, if you already had a J.
Brown until maybe, But I don't know if going to
cost you this first round pick to get him. So
that's how I look at Trevor. Where are you at
with this player? Because you're new here today, we haven't

(41:06):
gotten your take on conceptio. Maybe you can take a
side or not. What do you want to do?

Speaker 3 (41:09):
Yeah, I think the late first, early second round is
where he's going to go. I'll give Casey credit, Like
I really did not like his NFL outlook when we
were going into this season, but he did develop a
lot more as a traditional route runner this past season.
NC State had him more as this like gadget player
that played running back and wide receiver, and it's just
like you look at something like that, especially for what

(41:30):
his size was when he was at NC State. Joe
to agree with you there, like, it's just that's not translatable.
Now he again, he became a much better route runner
this past season, but he's got some issues with drops.
He does have some contested catch issues, but the way
that he can move and create that separation, if he
continues to evolve as a route runner, then I don't
mind this pick at all whatsoever. But I probably like

(41:51):
him more as like a second round Day two type
of a wide receiver. But I can understand wanting to
get more explosive for the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (41:58):
Especially because Boston still on the Denzel Boston to the
Patriots and come on, Debro, come on. It's like right
there stirring in the face.

Speaker 4 (42:08):
So are you gonna start? If they get aj Brown,
You're gonna start a trio of Boute Boston and aj Brown.

Speaker 1 (42:15):
Food, Boston Brown and Mac. Don't forget about my house.

Speaker 5 (42:21):
His cleats nowhere to be found, nowhere.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
To be found, never Seattle. Let's roll out the last
pick here, number thirty two, Trevor. Let's close that round
one here and then we'll start the lightning round two.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
All right, I'm gonna go with the Angelo Ponds the
corner from Indiana. Why, just because it's too much fun
to pass up. They obviously have quarterbacks that are up
in free agency. I think they will bring some of
those guys back. But even if they're only bringing one
of them back, and they have another secondary need that
they could address for d Angelo Ponds to be in
a similar secondary with Devon Witherspoon, Nicky Manwarre, I mean,

(42:53):
it's just it's a it's a nightmare for other teams
to try to throw wide receivers out of that group.

Speaker 2 (42:58):
So I'll go with the Angelo there at the back
end of the first round.

Speaker 1 (43:01):
All right, let's pick up round two here. And remember,
if you're watching us, so I'm sure you like this
video too. It always helps, and subscribe to the channel
and share around too. We know what like fantasy pros
and things like that. Over the years, people don't want
to share it around because it's like, oh, this is
my thing, is how I get advantage of everybody else.
This is fun, all right. This is about football. So
if you have your friends who like football, send this
out to them, say hey, it's a new channel popping
up the tailgate. Go check it out. Let's start with

(43:21):
the Jets here at thirty three, Andrew Rickson, you're on
the clock for the Jets.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
Yeah, they went edg Rusher in round one, so they're
going to add to their secondary here at draw McCoy,
cornerback from Tennessee, coming off an injury plague season. But
for the Jets, like you don't know what, you're going
to be competitive anytime soon. So what does it matter
if he's say healthy this year he's not, doesn't matter.
I think he fits what aeronven likes to see from cornerbacks.
You can play some man, some press coverage. Again if
he's healthy. He's also viewed as potentially CB one in

(43:46):
this class, So the Jets get a talented player here
with the injury discount with McCoy from Tennessee.

Speaker 1 (43:51):
All right, Debro, you're up at thirty four for the.

Speaker 4 (43:52):
Cards, Cards didn't address the offensive line, and for round one,
I'm going to take care of them. In round two,
it's going to Kyo Lomu. Outfitsive tack out of Utah
at Both him and Paris Johnson have experience at right
and left tackle. Just draft this guy and figure it
out in camp.

Speaker 1 (44:09):
Just drafted and figure it out. What do you want
to figure out for the Titans at thirty five.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
Trevor, So, for the Titans at thirty five, we had
them going with David Bailey in the first round, and
then this is where I'll take Denzel Boston off the board.
And I think that it sets things up in an
interesting way for them if they're able to get a
player like Denzel Boston, because I think both Boston and
alec Iomanner can sort of play that Z off the
line of scrimmage wide receiver, but then they can also

(44:33):
play as the outside of the numbers X wide receiver.
So that allows Gunner Helm to be more of an
in the middle of the field option, Chimmery Dka to
be an over the middle of the field option, and
I think it does still give them some vertical ability
with Denzel Boston and how he was a pretty high
average hip the target type of a player.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Despite his size. So Denzel Boston there to the Titans
thirty five.

Speaker 1 (44:53):
All right. Next up Vegas at thirty six, ericson what
do you got.

Speaker 5 (44:57):
Off at to tackle Blake Miller from Clemson. You need
to protect your rookie quarterback. You need to give him
the best offensive line possible. So even though they went
O line in round one, I think it's smart when
teams doubled down at needs in the NFL draft. Gives
you more shots on net to fix that problem. The Raiders'
biggest problem last year was their offensive line was broken.
Colton Miller is going to be back, but what if
he gets injured again? Right, So that's a concern. Injuries

(45:19):
pop up, so you need to get death at these
specific positions, specifically at tackle. He could be their potential
right tackle of the future with Colton Miller on the
left side. So Blake Miller from Clemson for me to
the Raiders, all right?

Speaker 4 (45:30):
The g man pick number thirty seven, de bro speaking
of protecting quarterbacks. Man, the New York media is going
to love this guy. I'm going to send Jennings Dunker
and his flowing locks to New York Jermainer Luminar is
an unrestricted free agent and they need an upgrade. A
Dunker is a beast in the run game. Hardball's gonna
love this guy.

Speaker 1 (45:48):
Well, definitely one of the best names in the draft too.
I just want to.

Speaker 4 (45:50):
Say, like, dude, have you seen his haircut?

Speaker 1 (45:52):
Joe doesn't if he doesn't get like a dunkin Donuts
endorsement or something like that, Like what do we do? Nice?

Speaker 5 (45:58):
Like nice?

Speaker 1 (45:59):
Why are we even why are we even doing football?
Likes to do all ye back, like I know this,
like maybe it's more of a regional thing, but like
they were. They were literally life sized cardboard cutouts of
Eli Manning in New Jersey and dunkin Donuts everywhere, and
it was it was like for a good five years.
Basically this is the guy if he goes to the
Giants like this is this is what you do. The

(46:20):
hair is fantastic. My favorite is did you see any
of your pictures before that?

Speaker 4 (46:23):
Here?

Speaker 1 (46:23):
What do he looked like? Where he had like just
a little home. Oh, I'll send you this while we
make the next pick. Here, I'm gonna drop it in
the uh in a little link here. All right. In
the meantime, we'll make another pick and then I'll go
back to this Dunker picture, the pre mullet Dunker thirty eight.
Houston is up next, Trevor. You can make this pick
and then i'll drop this in the chat there.

Speaker 2 (46:43):
I'm gonna go.

Speaker 3 (46:43):
So we had Kate McDonald going to Houston in the
first round. I'll go offensive line here. Maxiana Cher, the
offensive tackle from Arizona State, grew up in Nigeria, grew
up playing soccer in basketball. Actually he has only been
playing football for leave four or five years.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
I mean, he he is.

Speaker 3 (46:59):
I think he is in men talented, and especially day two,
day three of the Senior Bowl he was he was
pretty rock solid, and so it's hard to not get
super excited about a player like this. I'd even consider
him at the back end of the first round, given
how talented he is. But for Houston to get Jay
McDonald and Maxionich here, I think that's a win for them.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
Here, all right, Trevor, I want you to go ahead
and look at this picture now of Dunker. It's in
the in the private chat right here in the studio
chat in stream yard as we're recording here. Shout out here.
I dropped it in there right in the studio chat
this private chat here. Well, you pick it up there,
we'll make one.

Speaker 4 (47:31):
W Yeah, it doesn't even look like the same dude, it's.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
Not the same humid. It's not the same humid. Wow,
it's amazing, amazing what a mullet can do for a man.
It really is, it really is.

Speaker 4 (47:42):
I think you need to You need to get like
a mument lake.

Speaker 1 (47:45):
Way go, Joe, I have one. What do you mean
need to? I haven't ivery worn on the Baseball Show before.
I have one. If I had I known we were
going down this path today, I would have worn it.
Next show, h next up thirty nine, Cleveland Brown's another
pick for them. Andrew Rickson what he got.

Speaker 5 (47:59):
Yeah, So I think I flew a little bit too
close to the sun with putting off the tackle at
drafting the Cleveland Browns because I just got absolutely nuked
by watching this. Probably hate me right now because I'm
not going to draft the tackle because I feel like
it's a reach here going for the next available one.
So I'm gonna go with Ty Simpson, quarterback from Alabama.

(48:22):
They've been doing a lot of work on him is
either future quarterback? I don't know. This is the Browns
is where quarterbacks kind of go to die when it
comes to their careers. We've all seen the jersey, so again,
don't want that to be Tye Simpson, but you might
be a Cleveland Brown when it's all said and done.
So that's why I'm gonna mock to the Browns here.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
All right, So Cleveland off the board. Thirty nine. Kansas
City of forty is up next, Debro, What do you got?

Speaker 4 (48:42):
Casey has addressed the defensive side of the ball. As
of recording this, we still do not know the future
for Travis Kelcey. I'm going to give them a move
piece and a wonderful weapon for this offense. Eli Stowers
tied end at Vanderbilt.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
Come on down, Oh there go tight the air apparent
to Travis Kelcey, which I we're getting a retirement anytime soon.

Speaker 5 (49:02):
Like no, they said he's coming back, but he might
not come back to the Chiefs. That that was the latest. Whoa,
there's no way.

Speaker 1 (49:12):
This is the way he hates Well, you know what
you ever think about this? If you're the Chiefs right
and you think this year is a punt. Do you
just go you know what that helps us with our
cap situation?

Speaker 3 (49:21):
No, no, no, no, no, I get no, no, I trust me.
I get it from the chiefs.

Speaker 4 (49:25):
Ye not Kelsey's point for.

Speaker 3 (49:27):
Kelsey to even be thinking about retirement, for him being
married to one of the richest people on the planet.
But you don't need the money anymore your ballot. Im sorry, sorry,
sorry for my invitation.

Speaker 1 (49:44):
I haven't got the yet. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (49:46):
I have a hard time thinking that he has not
fulfilled his NFL career and he would want to like
time Jersey like what like, I know it won't be.

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Are no, no, no, no way, but think about it,
do we ever? One of my favorite things ever on
the internet is always like, do you remember when this
great player played on this team? And you go, oh
my god, I can't forgot about him going here. Every
great player seems to always hang on one team too

(50:20):
long or one radio to Tennessee Titans.

Speaker 4 (50:23):
Jarry Rice was a Seahawk at one time, Rice was
the Seahawks.

Speaker 1 (50:26):
We can go on and on and on. Everybody has
that thing like I can do it somewhere else, and
it just it rarely ever works out. I would not
be shocked, but that is wild. Did we make a
pick here? We did? Stours, Yeah, Stowers, that was fascinating.
We're talking about Andrews just brought the internet there for
a second. All right, forty one. Back to the Bengals
here for their pick, Trevor, that pick is yours.

Speaker 3 (50:45):
I'm gonna go with AJ Halsey and another player that
I really like in this class, sort of a throwback
safety and how it physically plays, how big he is.

Speaker 2 (50:52):
A lot of times now you get safeties.

Speaker 3 (50:53):
That are, you know, hovering around two hundred and five,
two and ten pounds, These lighter guys who are a
lot more focused about playing coverage. Halsey could play in coverage,
but he's also about two hundred and twenty and he
can lay the hammer over the middle of the field.
So Cincinnati I think still needs a major difference maker and.

Speaker 2 (51:08):
His AJ Halsey.

Speaker 3 (51:10):
A lot of times you'll get like secondary players will
You'll say like, oh, look at all the interceptions this
guy had, and you go back, you watch the interceptions.
You're like, okay, these are gifts, Like you didn't do
anything here. You watch JJ Halsey's interception reel and it's
it's like a highlight reel of all safeties and the
best of interceptions. Like he is making these plays, he's

(51:31):
reading these plays is athletic ability, it's it's football intelligence.
I think JJ Halsey is awesome. So forty one of
the to the Cincinni Bengals here all.

Speaker 1 (51:39):
Right, Remember hard Rock Ben is a sponsor of our show,
Florida Sportsbook. March is here. That means madness. College basketball
is all over place, takes center stage. Will I watch
any of it? Probably not, because I just don't. And
that gets a lot of hate from a lot of people.
I don't know where you guys are at it, but
I know everybody else loves the March madness. And look,
if you love March madness, it's the best point is
obviously the you know, have a little stake in the game.

much would that be? Uh double put's double one hundred?

Speaker 2 (52:19):
It would do.

Speaker 5 (52:22):
Taking a nap in class. I know.

Speaker 1 (52:26):

New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee or Virginia. Play terms of conditions apply.

(53:08):
Concerned about gambling in Florida, I'll call one eight three
to three play wise in Indiana. If you are someone
you know is a gambling problem, wants help called one
eight hundred and nine with it gambling problem called one
hundred gambler in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia.
Double yeah, Jerke, All right, where are we forty two
with the New Orleans Saints. Let's get back to Andrew
Erickson for this big yeah.

Speaker 5 (53:28):
So we have the great Trevor Sikama on here, so
I'm gonna bring the bell here for Chris Bell, wide
receiver from Louisville. Again another play. I mean, Tyler Schuck
has played with basically everybody at some point in college
in an NFL career, but she didn't play with Chris
Bell two years ago at Louisville. So they're going to
continue to build around the second year quarterback in New
Orleans when Ed Rusher in round one. So they get

(53:49):
Chris Bell, who apparently with all the reports saying that
he's actually going to be back sooner than most people
expected from his season ending injury. It was reported at
the Senior Bowl from Town Pauline he should be able
to take part in non contact work in June one
hundred percent soon after that, So I think someone could
get a value on Chris Bell based on his injury
last year.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
Andrew, I gotta ask you, like, Tyler Schuck was in
college so long? Was that really hard for you, like
to connect all those dots like that must have been?
That was?

Speaker 5 (54:16):
I mean the one that that that the crazy one
is that he played with Juwan Johnson at Oregon in
like twenty nineteen. That one is like really pulling.

Speaker 1 (54:25):
And then the Justice Harberta from the data the like
that he gives you. I can't imagine how long it
would take you, like to trace all those steps back.
It's a lot of.

Speaker 4 (54:34):
That's what is great.

Speaker 1 (54:37):
Miami released to a tongue of Ioloa today. That's a
good time. Tennessee Corner, though, is where Deebra wants to
go for this pick for Miami.

Speaker 4 (54:45):
They need Quarners dude. Right now. On the Miami depth chart,
the top two quarters are Storm Duck and Juju Brand.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
Storm Duck gets so much hate from literally everybody. It's like,
who is this Storm Duck guy.

Speaker 4 (54:56):
I'm just saying they need bodies like this isn't even
just like they need good they it does sound.

Speaker 1 (55:01):
Like a Ducktails character. I'm not gonna lie like it's
like the villain in that show.

Speaker 4 (55:05):
So I'm going to give them cornerback Coulton Hood out
of Tennessee here, all right.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
Next up, the Jets are up and Trevor's got this
pick at forty four.

Speaker 3 (55:14):
I'll go Christian Miller, the defensive tackle from Georgia. Just
a really smart football player, man. I mean, I love
his awareness for the ball. His hand usage is fantastic.
He's got great technique when it comes to being able
to drop his hips, his knee, his feet to anchor
and really hold up against single blocks and double teams.
And I don't think he's ever going to be a
great pass rusher for you, but somebody who you know
what you're getting.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
And I think that that's.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
Really important for the Jets, especially with them moving more
towards an odd front defense. They need somebody who could
hold the line and be consistent there. So Christian Miller
from Georgia.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
The Jets have so many picks Trevor, and as a
Jet fan that if I was a Jet fan, that
would worry me. Do you think they're going to consolidate
and move up and do something else here to just
get more premium players. I know they need to, but
like I feel like they've got so many this is
not the regime that I would trust to make good decisions.
Just putting that out there, But I don't know where
are you at with all these jets picks that.

Speaker 3 (56:01):
They no I mean, I don't really think that perhaps
they could get aggressive, but I don't think they're in
a position where they actually need to be aggressive. I mean,
they pick number two overall, so the only way you
get more aggresive is by going.

Speaker 1 (56:12):
To that one necessarily, But maybe get about like even.

Speaker 3 (56:14):
Like sixteen, Like sixteen's fine, early second rounds fine, and
then you got three first rounders next year. So I
understand what you're saying. A lot of times when you
have a lot of picks, like it's signed to get
a little bit more aggressive, and maybe they will be,
but I don't think it's like a necessity where I
think they really need to move up, like the Steelers.
The Steelers are one of those teams that I think
they have eleven picks if I remember correctly, in this draft,

(56:36):
And so you look at them sitting at number twenty
one and you go, Okay, it's time to package some
of these picks up and try to move up into
like twelve, thirteen, fourteen range.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
Something like that.

Speaker 3 (56:46):
So I don't feel like the Jets are in that
same category though, I'd make these picks.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
All right, we're in the home stretch. We're gonna fly
through some of these picks. Here Baltimore forty five, Eric said,
what do you got?

Speaker 5 (56:54):
Emmanuel pregnant and tier offensive line. The Ravens obviously got
Max Crosby as part of that deal as part of
their round one pick. So round two they bolster the
interior because Leonardbaum, Daniel Flaylay, impending free agents. Will see
how things shake out.

Speaker 1 (57:08):
Tampa Bay of forty six, debro.

Speaker 4 (57:10):
This is where they addressed the defensive side of the ball.
R Mason Thomas. They've been struggling trying to find an
airdresher and pass rush for the last few years. They're
going to try again here.

Speaker 1 (57:19):
All right. Next up, we have a forty seven, the
Indianapolis Colts. Trevor, you're back up on the clock.

Speaker 3 (57:24):
Jacob Rodriguez, who I think his is combine fully verified
him being a second round pick at worse, perhaps even
maybe into the late part of the first round. We'll see,
But I think that when you look at Indianapolis, the
middle of their defense has to get a lot better,
especially with the Sire Franklin news and then moving off
from him. I mean like they just need somebody that
they could depend on in the middle, and I think

(57:44):
that they'll really love him if they have the chance
to get him.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
At forty seven.

Speaker 1 (57:47):
Hey, look, the Atlanta Falcons are picking this year forty eight.
What do you got here? Ericson?

Speaker 5 (57:51):
Yeah, I know, they finally get to make a pick.
So Hunters. Lee Hunter devis a tackle from Texas Tech.
Matt Ryan has said on numerous occasions that he wants
his team to stop the run this year. So Lee Hunter.
I think that's kind of what his strengths are as
a run stopper. Sometimes those players get a little devalued.
But in this new NFL where teams are getting back

(58:14):
to running the football, I think that you're getting in
value with the player that can really help stop the run.

Speaker 1 (58:19):
So Lee.

Speaker 5 (58:20):
Hundred of the Falcons, all right?

Speaker 1 (58:21):
Forty nine the Minnesota Vikings, de bro, what do you got?

Speaker 4 (58:24):
Ryan Flores gets another weapon on the back end.

Speaker 1 (58:26):
Man.

Speaker 4 (58:27):
We get McNeil Warren in round one, we're getting Brandon
C's cornerback out of South Carolina.

Speaker 1 (58:32):
Boy Kevin o'cag gets no fun. It's just just all
defense here.

Speaker 4 (58:37):
It's fine.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
Number FI quarter is it fun? Is not fun at all.
At fifty, the Detroit Lions are up. Trevor, You're up.

Speaker 3 (58:48):
I'll go Chase besantas the interior offensive line in the
guard from Texas, A and M. I think by drafting him,
you give yourself the ability to move Tate rat Edge
inside the center, so you feel good about a long
term interior offensive line in Mahogany rat Ledge and then besontis.
I feel like Besont this is one of the better
pass protecting offensive linemen in the draft. But I still
think that he's pretty good as a run blocker as well.
I just think that he is pretty rock solid in

(59:10):
everything that he does. So to get him, he's I
feel like the textbook definition of a second round pick
that you feel pretty great about.

Speaker 1 (59:16):
Carolina fifty one Andrew Rickson, that pick belongs to you.

Speaker 5 (59:20):
Double down on ed rushers just more, just like that
Star Wars meme more more owl ed rusher from TEXTA
and I also think that he is the best player
available here that he's fallen outside the top fifty players.
Too much talent here for the Panthers to give up,
and it's obviously a big need for pass rush.

Speaker 1 (59:36):
Did you guys get that real lies cent you on?
I g yesterday that that meme about Joe Burrow sitting
on the couch on white with Yeah, and it was TJ. Warrow.

Speaker 4 (59:44):
Memes are insane right now?

Speaker 1 (59:45):
Did you see that? That's another good one, Trevor. We
gotta loup Trevor into that one. Yeah, we're He's sitting
there all light on the couch there and behind him
is TJ. Watt, Max Crosby, And I.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
Know the meme that you're talking about, Garrett.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
Yeah, pretty hilarious, That's all I'm saying. Whoever did that one?
I feel like that's a Scott Bogwin me. I feel
like he put that together. That's definitely got Bogmin fingerprints
on it. All Right, Next up here we have the
agreement packers at fifty two. Debro You're up so.

Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
I know they just resigned Sean Ryan, but Rashid Walker
could walk out the door. Let's give him Caleb Tiernan
offensive tackle at Northwestern, he's a really good pass protector
and green Bay there are two certainties every year they're
going to address the offensive line in the draft and
wide receiver. Let's give a tackle.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
Pittsburgh at fifty three, Trevor Sikama.

Speaker 3 (01:00:30):
I'll have them take Keith Abney, the corner from Arizona State,
a resigned Sante Samuel right before free agency. But I
think he's more of just like a preferred depth option
for them. I think Abney gives him the ability to
have a corner who can play a little inside and out.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
He played mostly on the outside.

Speaker 3 (01:00:45):
I wonder if he has the quickness to play slot,
but he is somebody who, especially in off zone coverages.
I think he has a really good knack for reading
where the ball is going, reading when my wide receiver's
going to break. Plays with a good amount of strength
to him as well. So Abney here, I don't love
him in the first round like some people were projecting,
but here at the back part of the second round,
I think that's very solid up thah you for it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:04):
Back part of the second it's a pretty big fall
fifty four of the Eagles and.

Speaker 5 (01:01:08):
Ericsson were gonna go with Chris Johnson, cornerback from San
Diego State. I don't think that with Dori Jackson, whether
they bring him back on a cheap veteran deal, I
don't think that he's a long term solution at that
number three corner spot. And Michael Carter has too much
of an overlap with Cooper dejen where they love him
in that nickel. Michael Carter's more of a slot cornerback only,
so they're probably going to either trade or cut him.

(01:01:30):
So they're gonna need another cornerback here. So Chris Johnson
to the Eagles.

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
Okay, after that Eagle selection, we go to the Chargers
at fifty five.

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
And Derek Denzel Perriman is an under free agent. Let's
give them Jacob Golday linebacker.

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
At ascency fifty seven, we have ohka, oh wait, I'm sorry,
let's skip to pick here fifty six Jacksonville Jaguars.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
Trevor Yeah, I'm gonna go buy mal Ki Lawrence, the
Edgrisch from UCF who had a really good combine. I
thought he had a really good showing in the Shrine
Bowl as well. Really athletic player. My only questions about
him is the strength level for him is to translate
to the NFL. Does he get exposed and pushed around
a little bit. But if you believe as certainly in
the athletic ability that he showed Wayne over two hundred
and fifty pounds, he should go higher than this. I

(01:02:12):
think Jacksonville, which is looking to improve the overall output
of the just full rotation of their edge rushers and
their pass rush, I think they would love to get
him at this spot.

Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
But there's a good chance that he doesn't last this
long either.

Speaker 1 (01:02:24):
The Bear is at fifty seven, Andrew, what do they do?

Speaker 5 (01:02:27):
Gave jackis edge rusher from Illinois Ben Jonson tag Trauts
offseason really emphasizing a need for more pass rush.

Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
All right, nice little edge run back to back. There
we have back to back corners, back to back edges.
Go San Francisco forty nine is a fifty eight Derek Brown.

Speaker 4 (01:02:42):
They have to take a dtackle man. Jordan Elliot is
an unrestricted free agent. Kalay Davis is a restrictive free agent.
Give him Grayson Halton, d tackle out of Oklahoma. This
guy can defend the run as well as give you
some pass rush juice up front.

Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
Trevor just made a really interesting pick here at fifty
nine with Houston, Texan because even though they just acquired
a running back at David Montgomery, you went running back
with his pick Turmer. Let's talk about obviously this is
a pick for the future. We'll look at ahead here.

Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
Yeah, I went with Jaendarium Price here, and I just wonder,
you know, is this something that is much more of
a long term thing for them WOODI Marx was very
good for them last year in sort of a situation
where they needed him to be, Like, there wasn't really
anyone else on the roster, So I just have overall
questions of whether or not Montgomery or Marx are like

(01:03:32):
the real long term answer for Houston. And after them
having some pretty nice hauls here with getting Kad McDonald
and then getting Maxionichuer, like you kind of hit your
two big needs, and that just gave me the flexibility
to say, eh, you know what Jendarium Price is here
if you believe in him a lot as a future
feature back at the NFL level, I don't hate this
for Houston, so this is much more of a long
term pick here for me. I didn't really love any

(01:03:55):
of the other trench options that were left to think
about double dipping there for them, and so that really
to me was how can we compliment the backfield as
best we possibly can in the short and long term.

Speaker 2 (01:04:05):
So that's how I got Price here.

Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
Because I got you here, Trevor, I got to ask
this question, what do you think of my boy Mike Washington.
There's a player that I really liked on tape, and
then he opened some eyes at the combine, and now
I feel like everyone's catching up to me on Mike Washington.
I know that's not how you picked here, but where
do you think he is? He gonna be a He's
obviously not a Day one player there, but like, do
you think there's a chance he could slip into the
second round?

Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
Yeah, one hundred percent, just because of the size and
the explosiveness that he has as a back, Like how
good he was of the combine, just the overall size
for him to play at the NFL level.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
And I do think that he's got some.

Speaker 3 (01:04:35):
Quick footwork to him. His best players are really really nice.
I just felt as though there were some i'll say,
like overall like vision concerns with him. I feel like
he got better as his career went on in college,
but there were some overall like vision inconsistencies Okay, when
do I put my foot in the ground to really
go upfield? When am I needing to be a little

(01:04:55):
bit more patient? Did I see this rush Laane manifest
at the timing and in the spot that it really
needed to?

Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
So I like Mike Washington a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
I think that the back end of the second round
is a really nice area for him to get picked,
somewhere between the second and third round. So he's he
would be in the conversation here. But I do like
Price more than I like Washington certainly.

Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
Again, that seems to be the consensus there on those
guys too. I threw like a Stephen Jackson kind of
camp on him. Did you have a comp for him?

Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
I would have to give me a second.

Speaker 4 (01:05:22):
I will look this up.

Speaker 1 (01:05:23):
Oh you got the comp list? Oh yeah, That's what
everybody wants, is the comps, because you know, a lot
of people don't watch college football, new love NFL. They
just don't, and so they don't understand like, okay, well,
when you give a comp of a player, it gives
them an idea of like, oh, I know what that is,
and I feel like that's, you know, something that's very
tangible for a lot of people. When they're watching.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
So I think that this was a player who was
drafted lower than maybe he should have been. So like
Alfred Blue was the first comp that I had for
Mike Washington, who they're both built very similarly. Like Alfred
Blue is six foot two, two hundred and twenty five pounds.
It's very similar to what Mike Washington is. If I

(01:06:02):
remember correctly.

Speaker 1 (01:06:04):
You have Chris is that the Chris Ivory Compy Ivory.

Speaker 3 (01:06:07):
Was fine, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, no, okay, So Washington's
way more explosive though, So this is Mike.

Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
That's why I said, that's why I can't go and
Stephen Jackson because like I read size wise too, and
even Jackson, who was also a player that got better
as he went, I.

Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
Thought, yeah, Blue Blues forty our dash is much slower
than Washington. So that's a comp that I wrote down
when I was watching them on film, and probably some
of the inconsistencies along with the size. But that's one
that I'll have to revisit, like before we do the
full draft guide thing, because I do think that he's
more explosive than Alfred Blue was.

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
He got a good conversation, That's what I want to do.
I have these talks and we don't get to do
this on FP because we've got to stay on time.
Do all these things this week and just have fun.
It'start diving into guys, and I like that. All right,
we got a couple of picks left here. Sixty Andrew
Erickson Chicago Bears. What does the Bears do?

Speaker 5 (01:06:55):
They have?

Speaker 1 (01:06:55):
Three safety Well they started last year, Mike, I put
it all on. See. The first thing you do when
you make a pick is you turn your microphone on
some pass What you do?

Speaker 5 (01:07:05):
What do you?

Speaker 1 (01:07:05):
What do you?

Speaker 5 (01:07:05):
My mic was on, what are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
It wasn't.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
I think it was just heavily delayed.

Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
Something.

Speaker 5 (01:07:12):
I think something weird is definitely on.

Speaker 1 (01:07:16):
But my mic was on, Well, they can cut this
or not. I don't care. Let's let's go. Let's go
to Chicago one more time. Andrew ericson, go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:07:24):
Okay, three safeties hitting creations that started last year. Mario
Ramsey safety from USC You are a Chicago Bear.

Speaker 1 (01:07:33):
All right, Let's make somebody at Los Angeles. Ram de
bro at sixty one.

Speaker 4 (01:07:37):
I'm gonna give them cornerback. Keante Scott out of Miami.
I know they just gave the bag to Trent McDuffie,
and but they still need more corners. Kobe Durand is
an understrated free agent, a Kello Witherspoon and Roger McCreary.
If you bring both those guys back, I mean both
of them again are free agents. Scott's a tough nickel
corner man. They give them, it would also give them

(01:07:57):
the flexibility to play McDuffie inside out outside and address
some needs all right.

Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
Next up at sixty two we have Trevor and the
Denver Broncos.

Speaker 3 (01:08:07):
So for Denver, I still went with Dominie Gornge even
though they went with Peter Woods at thirty, because I
do think that they're different players. I think the Dominie
Gordons is much more of that run, defending, hold the
point of attack, but gives you a little bit of
extra juice to him as well, where Peter Woods, to me,
really you want to use him in an attacking style.

(01:08:29):
So I don't think that you will use these two
players similarly. And in fact, I just think about making
the defensive line as good as it can possibly be,
Like I thought about running back here, to be honest
with you, so Mike Washington like could have been on
the board, but I just I think they want to
add like a veteran running back to that room instead
of another rookie, instead of a you know, young guy.

(01:08:50):
So that's why I stayed away from from running back
here at this spot, and instead I just I double
dipped on defensive line because these are two different players
that I think really rounds out what their rotation could be.

Speaker 1 (01:09:01):
Debros had a big side calls r J. Harvey shares
are safe after you didn't take a running back there, So.

Speaker 4 (01:09:05):
He feels pretty good right now for the moment. I
think they do sign a guy like Rico Dalado or
somebody else. There's also them like sniffing around Travis Etn
going to Denver, so we shall so I wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (01:09:18):
I don't hate that. I gets some eight TM chairs
going on now. Engle Patriots at sixty three, Andrew Rickson,
please save us from Derek Picks.

Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
I'm I'm picking a player named Derek though Derek Moore
ed rusher from Michigan.

Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
Okay, I'll take an edg rusher. I'll take an edge
from Michigan that works for me. I feel good about that.
Seattle to close us out. Derek Brown sixty four, What
do you have for the Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (01:09:40):
I don't see Rashet Shaheed. I think coming back to Seattle.
I think he's going to command too much money on
the open market. Let's give them a size, speed guy
to fill that type of role. Give them Chris Brassel,
and people could say there's no way Chris Brazzle wide
receivers out of Tennessee is gonna make it into the
second round. Yeah, because we've never seen the NFL double
count speed and big fast guys don't go high in
me in air draft.

Speaker 1 (01:10:01):
Sure, that's fair. A lot of guys, a lot of organizations,
they fall in love with the speed. It doesn't always
work out necessarily. Well, this was a fun exercise. Trevor
Sikima from PFF and the NFL Stock Exchange, it's great
to have you here. We like talking football with our friends.
We know is a really busy time of year for you.
Just came back from the combine. You got a bunch
of stuff going on today because of the free agent
whirlwind that's going to happen there. So you carved out

(01:10:23):
some time to spend with us, and we appreciate you.
And tell everybody what you got going on at PFF
and what's going on there, so everyone go check it out.

Speaker 3 (01:10:29):
All the work, Yeah, I mean, it's going to be
extremely busy for anybody that uses the PFF Mock Draft Simulator,
which you should because as every day goes on here
in free agency, we're going to be updating it multiple
times a day. Certainly if any picks that get moved,
we're going to be updating that as soon as we
possibly can. But also the team needs the functionality of
the mock Draft simulator is going to change because a
lot of these team needs are going to change. So

(01:10:50):
all that stuff over at PFF dot com and then
of course the free agency reactions over at the NFL
Stocking Change Show as well. But I appreciate you guys
having me always enjoy popping on the show, So.

Speaker 2 (01:10:59):
Thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:10:59):
Great stuff, gentlemen, debro Ericson always great to hang out
with you all, and of course make sure you hang
out with us all the time. Remember drop your comments
below what's your favorite picks your least favorite picks, because

Pristine Auction and again, subscribe to the tailgate. Tell your
friends like this video. We want to make this the
biggest NFL talk channel that we possibly can. We can

(01:11:20):
only do that with all of your help. So again,
we cannot wait for this twenty twenty six NFL season.
We're gonna have a lot of fun content. We're getting
kicked out of the parking lot now, so the Tailgate's over.
That'll do it for us, everybody. We'll see you next time. Kids,
