Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, everybody.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Welcome into the Fantasy Pros Dynasty Football Podcast. I'm Ryan Warmley,
joined by Pat Fitzmorris and by Scott Bogman. Guys, we
have been talking a lot about rookies lately. Today we
kind of look at just general dynasty rankings. We're gonna
be doing a couple of these episodes in the next
few weeks. Today's episode, we're gonna talking about running back
rankings and quarterback rankings. There are rookies kind of sprinkled
(00:24):
in here. It's still a little early in that process,
so I think those rankings are very likely to change
and be more malleable in the next few weeks. But
a lot of these, you know, more established veteran names
are kind of in the spots that we expect them
to be, so we want to talk about them. We're
going to go through tier by tier, running backs first,
then quarterbacks, and kind of react.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
To who we think is too high too low.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
These are the consensus rankings, by the way, they are
not just our show's rankings. They are the expert consensus rankings.
You can find those at fantasypros dot com slash rankings.
All of our twenty twenty six consensus rankings and tiers
are there. You can of course navigate to the dynasty
rankings from there as well. That's what we'll be looking
at here, and you guys have your own rankings, will
kind of react, say who you disagree with, who's too high,
too low, in the wrong tier, all that fun stuff.
(01:06):
We have a ton of names to get through, so
I don't want to do any pramble today. We're just
gonna die right in here, guys, there's too many names
to talk about.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Like I said, we started with the running backs. We'll
start right at the very top with Tier one.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Just four names deep here fits Bjeon Robinson, Jamiir, Gibbs
Ash and Genty Devon a Chant. I think pretty much
everybody has Bijon and Gibbs one and two in some order.
In fact, I think when I was looking at putting
at the rankings together yesterday, it was listed as like
the worst ranking for either of those guys is in
the top two, So unsurprisingly that's kind of the clear
(01:37):
one too. What do you think about Genty and a
Chan being included in the same tier as those other.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
Two, Yeah, I maybe think Bijon and Jamiir Gibbs are
a tier unto themselves, and then I think maybe there's
a second tier that includes gent Chan and maybe a
couple of other guys too, one just coming into the
league for the first time in Jeremiah Love, and then
another guy was drafted last year, the other first round
(02:02):
running back o Marion Hampton, I think deserves consideration for
that second tier. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I feel like in actually looking at this, Bogman, it's
not just that Bijona Gibbs are one and two in
some order. Bijon is one for everybody, and Gives is
two for everybody. There there's nobody who even has Gives
ahead of Jon. Does that feel right to you or
do you see those two is more interchangeable.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
No, that absolutely feels right to me. I you know,
I think if you want to change them, fine, I
don't have like a strong, strong, hard argument against that.
But I think knowing that everyone has Bijon on one
and everyone has gives it two, I think Fitzi is right,
that's probably just the tier by itself, and the next tier,
tier two, is probably a little bit bigger. But I
(02:48):
I mean, I think after last year, I gotta put
JT up here in this top group as well. So
I my top tier is Bijon Gibbs, A H and JT.
So I have Gent in another two just below these guys,
but still very very good tier.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
By the way, Wor if you're going to ask someone
if Jamior Gibbs should be ranked ahead of Bejon Robinson,
probably don't ask the Texaslorence fan.
Speaker 4 (03:11):
Yeah that's true.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Well, hey, he's the one who brought up Jonathan Taylor.
I would have expected that from you as the Badgers Fitz.
I know you are historically a very big a Chan fan.
Do you feel like he is the correct one of
him and Genty to be in tier one? Like, if
we're going to say that tier one is more than
just Bijona Gibbs, is it a Chan or Gent that
you feel is more deserving to be in that conversation
(03:34):
with them?
Speaker 3 (03:35):
I mean, I've got a Chan ranked a little higher.
We've seen it from him now a couple of seasons,
a few seasons, and whereas Genty, you know, maybe didn't
live up quite to expectations last year but obviously had
issues with his supporting cast. So I have a Chan three.
(03:57):
I think you could make a case for Gent number three.
It's really close and fair to maybe be a little
nervous about Mike McDaniel leaving Miami, although I think a
Chan is just he's great as a runner, he's great
as a receiver. Usually he's doing it for you in
one of those areas or another in any given.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
That speed ist scheme proof right fit, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
He just doesn't. How many times last year did demon
Chan just brick in a game. It's so rare for
that to happen. So I think he might be like
coach proof, scheme proof. I do think I agree with that.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
I do think that there is a very real chance
that the situation is better around Gen this year. Though,
Like they hired Rick Denison to be the offensive line coach,
who I have, you know, belief in Vegas they're going
to address the players on the line. You would have
to imagine this offseason in some capacity, you know, Kubiakadana
Novias offensive minded head coach, whereas in Miami it's a
(04:56):
defensive minded head coach. And Miami just I mean, they
obviously they cut lot of people in the last week,
and it feels like they're maybe willing to sort of
take their medicine for a year and take a step back.
I mean, we'll see what happens free agency. Maybe they
add Milik Willison. It looks a lot better. And this
all sounds crazy in hindsight, but I think there's a
world where the Raiders is the better offensive ecosystem, and
(05:16):
there's more scoring opportunities for genty this year. But to
Bogman's point, like the speed is scheme proof, like you
can break a big play in any offense.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
So I mean they're both very good. Obviously.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Let's move into tier two. The names that when I
put this together yesterday, it's just three names, James Cook,
Jonathan Taylor, o'mary and Hampton. I'm looking right now in
our you know, consensus rankings page. Just in the last
twenty four hours, Jeremiah Love has actually moved up even more.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
He was down at like like fourteenth.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
I think when I put this together yesterday, he's already
now up at eight in tier two. So let's talk
about Love here in this tier too, because you already
mentioned him fits as somebody who kind of could be
in this conversation already. Bogman, I know you're a big
fan of Love as well, so let's group it as Cook, Taylor, Hampton,
and Love in this tier two. And you know, man,
I'll start with you. You already mentioned Taylor would be a
(06:02):
tier higher for you. Of these other names, do you
have a favorite that stands out? Cook, Hampton, and Love.
Speaker 4 (06:07):
I mean, I have Genty in this group as well,
but I my order is Genty, Love, Cook, Hampton. So
they're all very good, they're all. This isn't inchangeable. This
isn't like Bijon and Gibbs, like we talked about before.
I think you can float any of these guys to
the top of the bottom. It doesn't really matter to me.
They're all very very good. They're all gonna be high
(06:28):
volume guys. And you know, Jeremiah Love, we haven't seen yet.
I understand that, but I think he's like Gibbs two
point zero man, Like, I just think that he has
that type of skill to be a Tier one guy,
you have to prove it first. So I'll put him
in tier two with a couple other really really good
running backs. But I do think like if he goes
(06:48):
to Kansas City, even if he goes to New Orleans,
I think that's a good spot for him. He's gonna
get massive he's gonna get a massive workload in those
places and he already pushed. We think Jerian Price might
be the second best running back in this and we
don't know if he can catch the ball because he
just could not take jere of my Love off the
field for it. So these are all really good backs.
I'm excited to see what Hampton has. I think James
(07:09):
Cook really proved himself as one of the best best
runners in the NFL. Just his vision might be second
to none in the NFL right now. And like you
mentioned before in the last year, Gens's about to explode
in this offense. I feel like now that they have
a legit they will get a legit cornerback in in
Frananda Mendoza. So very very good group here.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
I like all of these names, obviously, they're all ranked
highly for a reason.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Fits for me.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
The name that stands out most as in terms of
my favorite in this tier is amary In Hampton.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
He's only twenty two years old.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
He is in an offense that, again I assume it's
going to address the offensive line first of all. They're
going to improve just by getting the tackles back and healthy.
I assume They're going to address the interior offensive line,
and they brought in Mike McDaniel, who like made his
name in the running game and is one of the best,
like very arguably the best offensive coordinator in the league.
You know at this point, very overlified to be an
(08:00):
oc it feels like, and Hampton is just really really talented.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Like there's a good quarterback.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
There's gonna be scoring opportunities as of right now, there's
not a ton of competition in the backfield. He's young, Like,
Hampton is the guy here, setting aside Love for a second,
because we don't know his landing spot and is a
rookie and hasn't done it. Setting aside Love, Hampton's the
guy that I'm most A'm like, this is going to
be a Tier one name a year from now.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
I agree with you. I've got him RB five in
my Dynasty rankings. And the ecosystem with McDaniel coming in,
we saw what he did for Devon Hchan. They get
Joe Alpack, they get Rashaan Slater back. We know they're
going to fortify the interior of the offensive line, which
was a complete train wreck last year. This is going
to be a better system. And we saw flashes of
(08:42):
what Hampton can do and of him producing like a
true RB one. I think we're going to get more
RB one weeks out of him next year, for sure.
I'm a little surprised Boggs has Cook ahead of him,
and I like Cook what he's done, double digit touchdowns
two straight year, leads the NFL and rightishing last year.
But I just wonder if maybe the Bills do get
(09:06):
a little more past catching help, if they're not quite
as run oriented. Although it's still Joe Brady at the helm,
I guess, so they're never goetting ignored the run.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
But I think you can talk yourself in putting any
of these guys at the top of this tier.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Yeah, it's true.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
I think whoever I talked about last is who I
would put at the top, right, Like, that's kind of
how I feel about Tier two. I think they're all very,
very good. They all could easily be Tier one next
year as well. So even though I have Hampton below Cook,
it wouldn't be It wouldn't take a lot to move
him past any of the guys in this scrip.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Yeah, my fear with Cook is maybe that I don't
know if we can count on another season of double
digit touchdowns when back in what twenty twenty three he
had two, you know, with Josh Allen and a quarterback
who likes to call his own number near the goal
line as much as he does. That's my concern that
maybe the touchdown totals for James Cook are a little
more fragile than we would like.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Fitz, let me ask you, because Bagman already said that
he would have Taylor in Tier one, how do you
feel about ranking and the sort of the elder statesman
in this group. He's twenty seven years old at running back,
you know, a position that ages pretty quickly. Taylor's had
injury stuff in the past at times, but he's coming
off of this awesome season. It was a lot better
in the first half than it was in the second half. Obviously,
quarterback issues there kind of limited the scoring opportunities for
(10:24):
the offense. But if you look at the first several
names until you get to sort of the CMC Saquon
range of the rankings, which are down in the mid teens,
Jonathan Taylor is the oldest guy and anybody inside the
top twelve, and Cook is the only guy who's even
within two years of him.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
Everybody else is twenty five or younger.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
What's your thought process when ranking somebody like Taylor, who's very,
very good and you're in dynasty. It's not like he's thirty.
He's only twenty seven, but it's still older than these others.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
Just turned twenty seven, like two weeks.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
There are very few names on the short list of
the running backs who could lay claim to being the
best pure runner in the league, and Taylor has to
be one of the guys who's considered in that category.
But yeah, he's a little older, and he's had ankle
issues in recent years. Twenty twenty five relatively healthy for him,
but I think ankle issues like the previous three years.
(11:14):
I want to say, so that's the fear that is
he moves into maybe his late prime. That just I
don't know what the next several years are going to
look like. I feel good about him for twenty twenty six,
I don't know what twenty twenty seven and twenty twenty
eight are going to look like.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Let me ask one more questioning kind of this group
of players before we move on better prospect coming in. Obviously,
we've seen a year from one of these guys better
prospect coming in Ashon Genty or Jeremiah Love.
Speaker 4 (11:40):
Bagman, I have gent once a bought higher because of
that exact reason. I think Genty was better coming in
just you know, a three hundred touch, no doubt, crazy
contact balance, just we know we can handle the workload
and be very good in it. So it's Ashton Genty
for me barely.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
Yeah, fits.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
I mean, I feel like last year we were talking
about Genty as like, hey, he might step in and
b RB three in Dynasty right off the bat. Love
feels like we're more talking about a couple spots lower
than that. So do you kind of agree with Bogman
that Genty was maybe a touch higher in how you
viewed him as a prospect coming into the league.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
Just a touch. But opinions are definitely varied on this.
I know there's some people who feel Genty was the
better prospect. I was just listening to a Todd mcshae
podcast and McShay had the same grades on both of them.
And then I know Brett Whitefield a Fantasy Point says
Love is the He's given Love his highest grade of
(12:35):
any running back since Jean Robinson. So yeah, they're definitely.
There's a range of opinions on this. I do think
they're pretty close though.
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Well, I'll let everybody know if you're listening to the
audio version of this show, that we just launched the
brand new Fantasy Pros Dynasty YouTube channel will bring you
rookie ranking, super flex strategy, startup, draft and trade advice
all year long. If you're building for the future, this
channel is built for you. Just search Fantasy Pro's Dynasty
channel on YouTube and hit subscribe. All right, goes, guys,
(13:07):
Let's go to tier at number three. This runs from
eight to seventeen. I'm gonna read his name because it's
how I put it in the sheet. We're not gonna
talk about Jeremiah Love because, like I said, he has
moved up since yesterday. But eight through seventeen here Bucky Irving,
Breist Hall, Chase Brown, Traveon Henderson, Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley,
Jeremiah Love, Gwin, Shawn Judkins, Kenneth Walker, Kyrone Williams. Looking
(13:27):
at these names, guys, it's kind of a lot of
different directions we could go. We have a little bit
of youth with Trayvon Henderson, who hasn't quite fully broken
out yet. We also have some you know, elder statesmen
here as well, Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley, both twenty nine
years old. Bogman, what name stands out to you here?
Just among this group in general? Too high to whatever
direction you want to take it.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
I have Kenneth Walker and Kyen Williams in the lower
tier but below this one. And we talked about Kenneth
Walker a little bit last week right where I think
it's a good time to sell him because he just
promoted his stock so high. I think he goes back
to Seattle where they still are going to have Zach
Sharberne even though he's coming off an injury, and Kyron
Williams as Blake Corn backing him up, so a younger
(14:07):
guy who is very good. So those two in particulars
stand out to me as I probably wouldn't put them
in this group. But I do have the rest of
these guys, and I started with Traveon Henderson, who I
had a real hard time not putting in the group
above this one, but because of his usage, I just
can't get there yet.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yeah, I think I want to hit on all the
names you just mentioned, but fits, I know you've been
a big fan of Henderson. I'm not saying that I'm
coming off of my hope and optimism for Henderson's future.
I find it very easy to not put him in
the same category as Cook and Hampton and Taylor, just
given that those guys have actually accomplished a lot more
so far and are still relatively young, especially a guy
(14:47):
like Hampton. Not that hinted did a ton right, he
did get injured, but I just feel a little bit
more certainty with those guys. So Henderson, I do think
belongs in this tier. I wouldn't have really questioned him
like I would have really questioned if he had been
in Tier two.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Yeah, we have talked about how Henderson's rookie season was
a three act play, and Act one he couldn't get
on the field, and Act three couldn't get on the field,
and Act two was pretty compelling. So if you want
to buy into the upside that we saw in Act two,
I can understand why he is ranked this high. I
totally get it, but I also understand the trepidation that
(15:21):
it's hard to see a clear path for him to
be a fantasy RB. One with Ramondre Stevenson there. The
only thing is we know that he can be Jamiir
Gibbs like in that he doesn't necessarily need a massive
workload to produce big numbers. I think we just want
to see him consistently getting double digit touches, you know,
(15:44):
even if it's ten carries four targets a game, like,
he can do a lot of damage on that. That's
the foothold we want to see him get, and then
maybe he evolves sort of like Jamiir Gibbs role evolved
with the Lions, and he's sort of has been shoving
David Montgomery to the side a little bit, at least
he was in twenty twenty five. So, but man, just
(16:07):
seeing like the Denver game where what Traveon Henderson got
four snaps against the Broncos in the playoffs, That was
pretty discouraging and has to terrify you a little bit
if you're a Henderson stakeholder.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
What do you think fits about what Bogman said for
Walker and Williams, they are the last two names in
the tier by consensus? Do you agree that they maybe
belong as your lower Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:29):
I mean you could make that case. I don't have
any beef with them being included in this tier. The
funny thing is, like, I know people have been wanting
to cast Kyron Williams aside for the Rams. It seems
like ever since he got that workhorse roll in, he
just keeps churning out numbers Man just keeps churning him out,
and then Walker as spectacular a playoff runt as he had.
(16:53):
We can't forget how frustrating it was to be a
Kenneth Walker stakeholder in twenty twenty five and continue only
be cursing Zach Sharboney for poaching those short yardage touchdowns.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
And Walker's been injured when given, you know, a full workload,
which is why they brought sharbon A in.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
It does feel like there's a lot of question marks
in this tier. You know, Bucky Irving coming off of
a very down year, Chase Brown will kind of always
have the stigma of having been a later round pick,
and are they ever going to invest more in the position.
Brist Hall might be stuck with the Jets aga and
if they end up franchise tagging him. You know, Christian
McCaffrey coming off this really heavy workload we've seen that
not work out super well for other running backs in
(17:31):
the past, and obviously McCaffrey has a history of injury stuff.
Saquon coming off a down year, they lose their great
offensive line coach, who knows what the offense is going
to look like under another new play caller, you know,
Travion We just talked about Kenneth Walker and Kyrien just
talked about Kashawn Judkins looked really good but had a
really gruesome injury and is playing on maybe the worst
offense in football. Like Jeremiah Love, who was in this
tier originally a rookie, Like, there are a lot of
(17:52):
question marks in this tier fits.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
I don't understand why quinch On Judkins is in this
tier and US guy Cam Skataboo is not in this tier.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
It's a good question to ask. I think that's physical
size is my thing. Was because Skataboo's just smaller, you know,
and his running styles insane. So is Judkins, right, and
they're both coming off grow some injuries, but there was
I haven't heard like any updates on Cam Skataboo, And
we did get a really positive one on Judkins saying
that he should be back before the season starts, so
(18:24):
you know it's both gross injuries. But I had Judkins
ahead of Cam going in and I'm gonna stick with that.
Speaker 3 (18:32):
Yeah, that's fair. Any issues with Bucky being this high? Like,
I love Bucky, and I know that if you're looking
purely at the numbers, it's hard to reconcile the fact
that he was like at the top of all the
efficiency metrics in twenty twenty four and at the bottom
of all the efficiency metrics in twenty twenty five. But
I watched the guy play and I think he's fantastic,
just like what you see with your eyes tells me
(18:55):
he's a top notch running back. So I have no
problems with him being this high. It's not that you
like Fitz.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
You don't take last year and crumple it up and
throw it away for Bucky, but I think you take
it less in the consideration knowing he was going through
the mental health stuff as well, So like, I think
he's gonna be okay. So I really had no I
didn't have a second thought having him in this group.
I have him.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
Him being I don't have a second thought about him
being a Tier three. Being eight feels hot. I guess
ninth with Love now higher just sounds high to me.
But this is definitely the right tier. And I'm not
sure like besides Love, who in this group that I
would be pushing super hard, Like if Breese Hall gets
a great landing spot, maybe him, although like I said,
it doesn't seem to be training in that direction.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Henderson and Hall are the only guys I have ahead
of him here.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Yeah, yeah, it's definitely the right tier I think for Bucky,
even coming off of the year that he's coming off of.
All right, let's go to tier four here, a little
bit smaller. There are seven names here. Josh Jacobs is
RB eighteen, then R J. Harvey, Camp Scataboo, Traves, etn
Javonte Williams, Derrick Henry, and diai Andre Swift. Besides Harvey
and Skataboo, this is a group of a lot of
(20:04):
veterans here. You know, Jacob has been around a while,
Derek Henry obviously been around a while, DeAndre Swift again,
Javonte and Etienn the other two.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
I think in.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
Looking at this group, like obviously somebody like Derek Henry,
there's not only much point talking about, right if your
win now team is still really good. If you're a
rebuilding team, he's not that helpful to you. That's like
kind of an easy conversation. I think you can make
a similar not to that same extreme, but a similar
type of argument for Josh Jacobs, like more of a
contending running back as opposed to a guy you're building
(20:34):
around long term given the agent workload. Some of these
other names that are pretty interesting, like DeAndre Swift, you know,
on an ascending offense that took a step forward last year,
that wants to run the ball. But we all do
really like Kyle Mnungai, who will show up, you know,
on this tier list eventually.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
R J.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Harvey a guy who's really talented. Our you know, colleague
debro is absolutely head over heels about but you know
is in a Sean Payton offense. You never know what
that it's gonna look like in terms of the workload.
It scattabooing off with a big injury. We just talked
about him versus Judkins. You know, Javante was really good
last year. I don't know if, like what the degree
of confidence is that we have in him, repeating that
(21:11):
we don't know what the opportunity is going to look
like in that backfield going forward again, just a lot
of question marks series you get into tiers three and four.
So Bogman, I'll start with you again. Who stands out
to you in this group? Is maybe too high or
too low?
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Yeah, I don't have Swift in this group. I also
have Derreck Henry one tier lower just because of falling
knife right like, and I'm the running back guy that
tends to not worry about age. But I think we're
we're probably getting there a little bit with with Henry
as well. So and I do have in fits. Let
me know what you think about this. I got Zach
(21:43):
Sharbonay in this group. I know he's coming off of
a bad injury. Maybe Kenneth Walker comes back. If Kenneth
Walker comes back, maybe that plus the injury, I would
lower him to the next tier. But if Walker signed
somewhere else and they feel good enough to keep sharbon
Ay and maybe not draft somebody high, you know, probably
Holani and whoever they bring in working behind him this year,
(22:05):
charbon A has he has all the skills to be
a stud running back, obviously coming off a grouse injury though.
So that's the one guy I added. But other than this,
I have it pretty chalk here.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
That's not right, Fitz.
Speaker 3 (22:17):
I've got charbon ay for him. He's a tier below
and more in a group with guys like Blake Korum
and Bashal Tutan, just young talented guys who have sort
of ambiguous roles as of now. If Walker leaves, then
I'm moving sharbon Ay up to this tier we're talking
about right now. To me, the guy who's sort of
(22:40):
the the orange in the apple orchard in this tier
is our J Harvey, because I think all those other
guys have proven to me that they're good, and I
don't know if our J Harvey is good yet. That's
the thing. And I loved him as a prospect coming out.
I was a little disappointed by his rookie year, to
be honest.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
I think that's fair.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Because it's not just is he good, it's also like,
will Shaan Payton ever give him the opportunity to like
show even if he is good, will Shan Payton like
trust him enough to let him do enough to be
a highly valued fantasy running back? And I'm not sure
if that's the case or will ever be the case
of Peyton.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Well, the weird thing is he had. I mean, down
the stretch, we saw Harvey probably have like a bigger
chunk of the workload in Denver than we saw like
peak Alvin Kamara have in New Orleans.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
That's because Dobbins got hurt and they're like, I assume.
Speaker 4 (23:40):
They're going to bring somebody else.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
Yeah, sort of he had to lean that hard on
our Harvey out of necessity, no question about it. But
that's the thing, just the fact that Harvey was asked
to play that big of a role and didn't really
seize the opportunity that worries me that the Broncos are
going to sign or draft someone else.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Before we move off this tier.
Speaker 2 (24:03):
Kind of follow up on Javonte Williams too, because I
do find him to be really interesting. Obviously, he was
like a revelation for fantasy managers last year. And if
you had him in Dynasty and kind of holding on
to him through the multiple seasons, are covering from a
really gruesome injury, like you were really rewarded. He was
an RB one last season, scored eleven touchdowns twelve hundred
rushing yards.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
You know, he also caught a couple of touchdowns, like
just a.
Speaker 2 (24:25):
Great, great year for Javante, who, as of right now
is only twenty five years old. Now I don't know
what his birthday is, but as of right now, he's
twenty five years old and a guy who was a
really talented tackle breaker early on in his career before
the injury.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
So, bagman, do you view Javante.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
Moore as a guy who is kind of back to
something close to what we expected him to be when
he first came into the NFL? Or are you viewing
that as hey, they really had nobody else to hand
the ball off to in this offense.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
That won't be the.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Case going forward, and sell high if you can. How
do you view Javante?
Speaker 4 (24:59):
I mean, I think I don't hate selling high on Javonte,
I'll say that, but I do think he has to
be in this tier because of what we've seen him do,
what we thought he was coming in and he proved
himself coming off that gruesome injury. Like if he would
have had a bad year in twenty twenty five, well,
he wouldn't be in the top fifty running backs. Someone
(25:20):
would be even talking about him. We would have written
him off as a broken asset that is no longer
able to do it because of two gruesome injuries. So
but he proved himself in Dallas. It's a good offense still,
and I expect him to be back in the same
role and get a pretty big workload again. Maybe you
work Jayden Blue in there a little bit more this year,
just because he drafted him, but he was great, So
(25:42):
I think he has to go in this group right now.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Fit's what do you think?
Speaker 3 (25:46):
I agree. I don't know if he will ever quite
look like the Gavonte Williams we saw pre injury that
first year where he was sharing work with Melvin Gordon
and everyone was cursing Melvin Gordon's name, wishing he would
get out of the way and let Javonte have that
backfield to himself. But at least he was within shouting
distance of that young version of Javante Williams. And by
(26:09):
the way, worm he turns twenty six in April. I
was looking at that before the show, so, okay, this
will be his age twenty six season. Still very young.
I mean, he's just moving into his prime now.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
So I was gonna say, I felt like we talked
about him being twenty five last year, so I thought
he might have a birthday coming up soon, but couldn't remember.

runs some running Back twenty five to Running Back thirty six.
Jalen Warren, Kyle Manungai, Woody Marks, Zach Charboney Blake, Korum,
Trey benz In Baschall two, Ramandre, Steven san Rico, Dawdle
(27:02):
Chuba Horbd, David Montgomery and Tyrone Tracy and another example
of rookies kind of still being very malleable at this
stage in the process. Since I put this together yesterday,
Jonah Coleman has jumped up quite a bit. He's now
RB twenty five. He's very near the top of this
tier in the rankings. That is a change from when
I put the sheet together yesterday. Let's start actually with Coleman.
(27:22):
We've been talking a lot about rookies as of late fits.
Does high end Tier five right around like a high
end RB three low end RB two range feel right
for Coleman prior to knowing his landing spot.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
Yeah, that's fine. I lump Jonah Coleman, Jadarian, Price, Emmitt Johnson,
and k Tron Allen all into this group somewhere from
the late twenties to the early thirties overall. So I'm
okay with that. I I don't know if I really
have any favorite clear cut RB two out of this group.
(27:56):
I mean, right now it's Price. I kind of want
to see how these guys test at the combine next week.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
When looking at these names, Bogman, are these the right
veterans to be sliding those rookies you know up next
to Yeah?
Speaker 4 (28:09):
I think so, and I have I have pretty much
the same group. I have Alan a little bit lower,
but I have Price, Emmitt Johnson, and Shoona Coleman in
this group. I have Coleman at thirty one. I like
Price and Emmett Johnson a little bit more. I have
them at twenty seven and twenty eight, So but I
have you know, Jalen Warren Blake, Koram DeAndre Swift. This
is where I have him, Rico, Daudel, Kyle Managai all
(28:33):
in this group in this tier. So yeah, I think
this is pretty much the right names. I'm a little
lower on like what he marks, I'm a little higher
on scharbon Ay, I'm not so enthusiastic on Benson here,
and I'm not as high on Tyron Tracy. So I
guess there are a couple guys that I don't like
in this group, but for the most part, these are
(28:53):
the right names.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
I feel like this is a pretty setting aside the
rookies fits, I feel like this is a pretty good
group of names to be together. The change I would
make is we've already talked about sharbon Ay, so both
him and Manunguy I'd rather bump up to the bottom
of the tier above, like they are the names that
I would most want to be rostering of this very
large group of names, Like I just don't feel like
Manungu or Sharboney belong in the same tier as like
(29:17):
Doubtel and Hubbard, who obviously I've had flashes and stuff,
but I just feel more excited. I just feel more
excited about Manunga. I really like Munguy and.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Swift.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
It's an ascending offense that wants to run the ball,
and Manonga I think is a good fit. Do I
at least always have a role there, even if it's
at worst like sort of the David Montgomery compared to
when Ben Johnson was in Detroit and Sharbonaga and we've
already talked about, but like, yeah, him compared to like
actual David Montgomery at this stage in his career, Retyren Tracy.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
I'm just more interested in those two guys.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
Absolutely, there are some veterans in this group who I
think need to be kicked out of the club. And
Woo he Marks I think was objectively bad as a
runner last year. I think he's going to be kind
of shoved out of that early down roll which he
was sort of miscast in and forced into just out
of necessity this year, and I don't know, I just
(30:09):
don't think his future is all that Brighton probably is
going to be relevated, relegated to third down back duty
in the future, David Montgomery moving into his age twenty
nine season, the Lions offensive line has sort of gone
to hell, and Jamier Gibbs played a bigger role last year,
so you can kind of miss me on him in
(30:30):
this tier, and Rico Dowdell kind of cast aside a
little bit last year. Going into his age twenty eight season.
We don't know where he's going to be, but he's
probably not going to be a workhorse anywhere in twenty
twenty six. I don't think he belongs in this tier.
And even Chewba Hubbard himself, who might have to fend
off a challenge from Jonathan Brooks if he can stay
(30:50):
healthy this year and wasn't especially efficient last year, like
even though he sort of I don't know went back
and forth with Rico Dowdell to who the guy was,
but I don't know. All those veterans. To me, I
think should be at least one tier lower.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Last name in this yeer before moving on. Blake Korham
fits the guy you've liked a lot in the past.
RB twenty nine Right now, does it feel too high
to lower?
Speaker 4 (31:14):
Just right?
Speaker 3 (31:15):
I think it feels just right still kind of in
a vague role but in a great offense, and we
had to like what we saw in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
Same question. Bogna too high, two low, just right for.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
Blake Korum, No, I got him at twenty six and
I have him third in this tier, so behind only
Derrick Henry and Jalen Warren for me. But I'm with fits.
I think you know. I have Montgomery noall lower tier.
I have Remandre and Tooting and those guys in a
different tier. I do still like I thought we saw
good things from Rico and Cuba last year, so I'd
(31:51):
like to get them away from each other. I think
Cuba had an injury early. I think he hit it.
That's why Rico was better than him down the stretch. Also,
Rico had that like three week stretch where no one
was as good as him right like he was going off,
so that was kind of crazy. But I have Tuba
hen Rico in this group, but I don't have like
Stevenson fumbles too much. He's gonna get pushed by Henderson.
(32:11):
Montgomery's getting pushed out of this role. Tyrone Tracy as
soon as Cam Skattaboo comes back, is getting pushed out
of that role. And I just have no idea what
to expect with Trey Benson, so I don't have those
guys and Woody. There's a lot of guys that just
do not have in this tier. I have way more
rookies one.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Word tier to get us through the top fifty here,
running from RB thirty seven to fifty. I'll read through
all the names once, but I'll do it quickly. Here
Tyler Aljier, Jacory Krosky, Merritt, Tony Pollard, Kenneth Gaine Well,
TYJ Spears, Alvin Kamara, Mike Washington, Junior JK. Dobbins, Caleb Johnson,
Jendarian Price, Jordan Mason, Rashad White, Dylan Samson, Aaron Jones.
Let's set aside the rookies, because we already talked about
in them a bit. Again, those are going to change,
(32:48):
Like we all agree, Price is way too low here
at RB forty six, I want to ask you guys
about Tyler Algier at the top of this tier could
get an opportunity to have a much bigger role here
and not be dealing with you know, Jean Robinson.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
You know we think of it as Bijon dealing.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
With Algier, but ol Hee's a good player, like he
was dealing with Bijon in the same backfields year in
the last couple of years. I mean think like if
this was a year ago and Algier was going to
get the opportunity to Gavonte just got in Dallas, right like,
I think that'd be really exciting. So I'm not sure
where that landing spot is this year. Maybe Houston, I mean,
maybe it could be Kansas City. We keep seeing them,
you know, mocking Jeremiah Love. Maybe they go a different
(33:23):
direction at running back. I don't know what it is,
but Algier could get a starting spot and make this
this RB thirty eight ranking look pretty low.
Speaker 4 (33:30):
Bogman, I have Algier and Kenneth Ganewell in the tier
above this group. So those are the two in this
group here that I have pushed ahead. And I'm one
hundred percent with you where I'm like, there are many
you know, put Tyler Algier in Minnesota and he's uh,
you know, the number one running back there behind what
we hope is a better offense with most like Lynda
(33:52):
McCarthy again, but we'll see what they do at quarterback.
But and Game one two is a free agent and
he was huge at the season, specifically for PPR league,
which most dynasty leagues are. So those two guys in particular,
I think need to take a bump in Algier and
gain Well both can end up in way better situations
than right now.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
What do you think, Fitz, Yeah, Algier was good enough
to be relevant while playing behind Beejean Robinson, which speaks volumes.
And if he goes to a good spot, like imagine
Tyler Algier going to Houston, where I would much rather like.
I think he's better than what he marks. Houston's a
(34:30):
team with a great defense that's gonna have a lot
of run friendly game scripts for its running backs, So
I would love that as a landing spot for him.
There's some other ones. I mean, Kansas City wouldn't be bad,
Washington wouldn't be bad. Yeah, I think Algier is a
well rounded skill set and landing spot is going to
be very key to his value.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
Right behind him in the rankings is you know, Jacory
Krosky Merritt. So if he went to Washington, who would
you like better?
Speaker 3 (34:57):
Yeah, that is a tough one because ja Cory Krossky
Merritt actually did pretty well on a lot of the
efficiency categories last year. But Cliff Kingsbury was very fascinated
with Chris Rodriguez, which I don't really understand since he's
pretty one dimensional plotter and you're sort of telegraphing that
you're running the ball when you've got Chris Rodriguez in
the backfield. So yeah, the Bill rookie season was a mystery.
(35:23):
I still have not completely unspooled, so I don't know
what his role is going to be this year, and
it's going to be interesting to see what the Commanders
do as far as additions or subtractions in that backfield.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Bogman as the Steelers guy, Caleb Johnson, I mean, obviously
just the biggest nothing burger of all time as a rookie,
but a guy that some people quite liked coming into
last year's draft. Would you rather take a swing on
year two from Caleb and just it's a new coaching
staff to kind of throw out your one or one
of these rookies you know, obviously you know, not love
(36:01):
and probably not like Coleman or Price, but one of
these rookies that are a little bit lower in the
incoming class or Caleb Johnson.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
I'd probably take a rookie. You know, honestly, this isn't
the uh, this isn't the coaching staff that drafted him,
and who knows what they're gonna want? Do they want game?
Weell back. I think Warren is the guy there. Warren
great inefficiency numbers as well as Fit's mentioned, So I'd
probably rather have a rookie. Give me k Tron Allen
(36:30):
or Mike Washington or somebody like that.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
All Right, guys, give me one name from each of
you who is in Tier seven or beyond that we
have not talked about that you think should be ranked
inside the top fifty.
Speaker 3 (36:40):
I'll start with you, Fitz Braylan. Allen might be the
RB one for the Jets next year and is still
very young. He was the youngest player in his draft
class at any position a couple of years ago. Doesn't
offer a lot of pass catching upside, but man, with
his size and footwork, I think he certainly offers double
day touchdown potential.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Bagwin.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
A name that we haven't mentioned. We haven't talked about
Devin Neil at all, and I have him inside the
top fifty, and I just what is going to happen
with that spot?
Speaker 3 (37:17):
Right?
Speaker 4 (37:17):
I think we people mock Jeremiah loved there. I think
that'd be a great fit, but that would obviously kill
any idea of Devin Neil here. But if they go,
they decided to spend their money and their draft picks
on other issues. Devin Neil could easily be the starting
running back for the Saints, and the offense looked pretty
good at the end of the year. So I have
inside him inside my top fifty.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
Kay throwing one more for him, Yeah, I mean, I've
got Dylan Sampson ranked well ahead of David Montgomery and
my Dynasty rankings. Like I know he's the RB two
in Cleveland and that the Cleveland offense is very much
a work in progress, But man, do Sampton have an
intriguing skill set and showed a little showed a little
something his rookie year.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
I agree with you on that also to that point, like,
and this might be obvious, but just to say it,
like if you are not an obvious contending team, like
even if technically in these rankings, because he's more helpful
to a contender, you might have Montgomery higher. And then
some of these like lottery ticket swings, like we would
much rather be taking swings than some of these young
(38:18):
guys who you can paint a picture of how they
step into a bigger opportunity this year and can take
advantage of it, as opposed to a twenty eight year old.
You kind of know what he is at this point,
so you know these are the consensus rankings. The rankings
might look a little bit different if you're strictly talking
like as a rebuilding team, we're at the very least
a non obvious contending team where you want to take
bigger swings. So keep that in mind when you look
(38:39):
at somebody like Dylan Sampson being ranked several spots lower
than a Montgomery as an example.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
Before we get to the quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (38:45):

Speaker 2 (40:10):
All right, guys, let's get into the top thirty quarterback rankings.
Here in Dynasty. We've got five tiers to run through.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Tier number one.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
It's not gonna be surprising to anybody. It's Josh Allen, Drake,
may Lamar Jackson, and Jaden Daniels. I would be really
surprised if you, guys wanted to nitpick the names in
this tier. I wouldn't be surprised if you wanted to
maybe adjust the order within the tier, Bogman, Are these
the right four names?
Speaker 4 (40:37):
And if so, is this the right order? Missing Joe Burrow?
So I put Joe Burrow up there, still quarterback three
since when he came back Week thirteen to the end
of the season, So I still have Burrow up there.
But the rest of the names are are good, and
I really don't care the order.
Speaker 3 (40:52):
Honestly, Fitz, I think the top four is correct, the
tier is correct. I have Drake May number one and
josh All number two, and I know Drake May is
going to maybe some people are going to hesitate on
him just because the playoff run was not all that spectacular,
But look, he faced a murders row of defenses in
(41:12):
the playoffs. The Chargers, the Texans, the Broncos, and the
Seahawks arguably the four best pass defenses in the league
right in a row. And he was dealing with a
shoulder injury that I suspect might have been worse than
like he was letting on. I know he got painkilling
injections for the shoulder before the Super Bowl. So, uh Man,
(41:34):
what we saw from him during the regular season, I'm
totally sold, and he's just getting his career started.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Bogman mentioned fits that he would include Joe Burrow, so
he if he had to change a tier, would expand
it if I was I think these are the right
four names. If I was forced to change the tier,
I would rather shrink it and say it's Alan and
push Jayden out. Yes, I wouldn't even be opposed to
like Jaden and Burrow are there own kind of me.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
Know what, I don't hate that either. Okay, I don't
hate that either, because those are the injury prone guys
in this group, right, Like we haven't seen Lamar miss
I mean, he missed time this year, but not an
extent Mars miss time.
Speaker 2 (42:11):
But he's also had like historic generational seasons, like the
ceiling has just been on a different level.
Speaker 1 (42:17):
You know, Alan obviously is.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
Durable and just consistent, Like I think is totally fine
at number one, and Drake may Like I'm totally fine
with him in here given what we saw in year two.
But like, if I had to make a change, I'd
rather knock out Daniels than at Burrow.
Speaker 3 (42:31):
Well, in the last three seasons, we've had a year
where Joe Burrow missed seven games and nine games, So
I like that I would rather take the chance with Daniels,
who has you know, rushing production that Joe Burrow obviously
can't touch and is a pretty good passer too. Like
(42:51):
I think if both of those guys play a healthy season,
Jaden Daniels is scoring more fantasy points than Joe Burrow.
Speaker 4 (42:58):
I don't know, I maybe the rushing upside definitely could
get him there. I just Joe Burrow is the best
peer passer in the league. He has two great wide receivers.
Like I, it's just so hard for me to pass
him up and not put him in this group. That's
really what it is. I guess it's the crazy ceiling
that he has as the only guy in this group
(43:19):
that isn't a crazy runner, so you.
Speaker 2 (43:21):
Know, the onliest guy really in the top like twelve
or so that offers nothing on the ground because like
even some of these other names, like Justin herbertson Tier two,
like he's not a crazy runner, but he can give
you something there. Like Burrow is the one guy that
he's the exception to the rule in terms of needing
the rushing. I do think it's enough for me to,
like I said, separate him from like the Allen May
and Lamar group. Daniels is interesting on the injury front,
(43:45):
just because, like I was really nervous about him potentially
getting hurt against NFL defenders when he came into the league.
So I don't want to let that color how I
view him now, and like I like, it's not just
that he got hurt last year, it's that I was
really worried about, Hey, this is a really skinny guy
who runs a lot like that might not end up
(44:06):
pretty well. And you know, I didn't think he was
on the Lamar level of like not like when Lamar
takes a lot of hits, but they're not a lot
of huge hits, And I worried that Daniels was going
to be taking more big hits that would kind of
make it.
Speaker 1 (44:18):
More susceptible to injury.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
I don't know if that's fair to still be kind
of sticking to that pre draft thought process, though, Like
I said, I think if it were me, it'd be
like Tier one as Alan May and Lamar, and then
Tier one B is Daniels and Burrow, then getting into
Tier two.
Speaker 4 (44:32):
I agree with with Fitz as far as Drake may like.
I know people want to give him a hard time
for the playoff run, but the playoff run was just
as hard as the regular season schedule was easy, you
know what I mean. Like, he had two extremes this year,
so I think he definitely belongs in there. And we
didn't even have premier weapons outside of Stefon Diggs for him.
They didn't use Henderson enough. The offensive line is super young,
(44:55):
They're going to add weapons to this offense. So Drake
May definitely, you know, if by.
Speaker 2 (44:59):
Some miracle, the Drake May manager in your dynasty league
is worried about this playoff run and is looking to sell,
go buy. I mean, that's like very easy in a
super flex startup draft. He's a top three pick in
every absolute league. I would imagine. Let's get into tier two.
Joe Burrows at the top here, he's QB five. Then
it's Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Caleb Williams, and Justin Herbert.
(45:21):
There are reasons to like all these names. There are
reasons to be a little hesitant on them as well,
for various reasons. Right, Mahome's coming off the ACL, getting
a little bit older, has not really had his deep
ball for like three years in a row, now, you know.
Jalen Hurts just a lot of question marks. I don't
even really want to get super deep into that. Caleb Williams,
you know, has games where he looks really bad and
(45:42):
inaccurate and kind of living up to Deebro's fading of
him in that draft class. He also has games are
he looked spectacular and made two of the best postseason throwers.
I've ever seen this January so very high ceiling, low
floor within a season. And then Herbert, who I thought
after Week one last year, I was like, go bad
on him for MVP, Like Herbert looked like he took
a step forward. Obviously the offensive line falls apart. He
(46:05):
has his own injury stuff that he deals with, but
now he gets Mike McDaniel. Like, Herbert's the one I
guess that I would want to highlight first as I
would be really excited about him. And I feel I
don't know one hundred percent who the names are that
are going to shift around, but I feel like QB
nine is going to look too low Bogman by the
end of the season.
Speaker 4 (46:23):
Yeah, I've got Herbert at seven, I have Caleb Williams
at six. So those are the top two guys for
me in this group. And I think it's not only
the fact that they're a bit younger, right, they also
both can run a little bit, But it's the you know,
the improvements in the offense. So we're going to see
from Mike McDaniel with the Chargers, and that offensive line
(46:45):
is obviously going to get way better with getting your
tackles back and the worst graded guards in the worst
graded center starting in the NFL last year. So they're
going to improve that offensive line a lot. You're going
to have Hampton back healthy, Like I'm really for what
this Chargers offense can be. I think the same thing
with Caleb Williams. Right, It's just you see the commitment
to making this offense great under Ben Johnson, and they
(47:09):
added often they traded for offensive lineman, they added weapons
and weapons and weapons. It was Roma Dunes, they Luther Burden,
Colson Lovelin, Like, they just have a commitment to give
Caleb Williams no excuse to succeed. So they're going to
keep building weapons with him like we saw them doing
in Detroit. I think those two stand out in this group.
You can't discount Patrick Mahomes. Let's give him Tyreek Hill
(47:30):
back and see if that matches and gets us back
to this crazy fantasy production. Hurts is the one question,
because I think in skill he's definitely lowest of this
group in terms of passing the ball and everything, but
that offense works behind him, and the toush push works
at the goal line, and they're going to keep doing it.
So hard to hard to ride out Jalen hurts unless
he moves teams or they just if they ban the Toushbush,
(47:53):
then maybe we start thinking about it. But I think
he needs to be in this group just because that
offense still is very explosive fits.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
I feel like Caleb and Herbert for me, do both
belong in the top eight. I like Herbert a little
bit better than Caleb. Who do you prefer in dynasty rankings.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
I've got Caleb a smidge higher. I just think the
ceiling is higher. He's got playmaking ability that's just unbelievable, exquisite.
Pains me to say it about a Chicago Bear, but no, man,
I think he might have a little more rushing upside too.
We'll see. I just I think we're just kind of
scratching the surface of Caleb's talents. And you know, Herbert,
(48:33):
I think we've seen sort of what the fully formed
justin Herbert looks like at times, and I don't know
if there's another. I think we've seen sort of peak
justin Herbert, and it's really good. And I think we'll
see a prolonged period of peak Justin Herbert next year
with Mike McDaniel and an improved offensive line. Caleb is
(48:54):
still on the ascent, and I just I think we
could be talking about him as a redraft QB one
at some point in the future.
Speaker 4 (49:04):
Fits I have Jackson Dart and I have him in
this tier too, Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 3 (49:10):
Yeah, I was that question, yep, And I was a
Jackson Dart skeptic. And the passing was better than I
thought it was going to be based on like what
I had seen from him at Old Miss, Like I
thought he was a one read and if it's not
their takeoff guy, and he's still kind of that, but
I don't know, I think he could be a little bit.
Speaker 4 (49:30):
More with Todd Dray is kind of that sometimes it.
Speaker 3 (49:32):
Was pretty impressed and hurts, like I'm I'm worried about hurts.
I mean, he barely averaged two hundred passing yards a
game last year. Didn't average just under two hundred passing
yards a game last year. Touch bush bogs, we didn't
see a lot of it last year. First time he
failed to hit double digit touchdown runs in what five years?
Speaker 4 (49:53):
Yeah, but if that offense gets like a little bit better, yeah,
it would probably be good for him. If Dallas Goddart
walked because they started doing the shovel pass to Dallas
Goddard instead of the toush push down near the goal line.
But I just you need more rushing production out of Hurts,
and you didn't really get it with either touchdowns or
yards last year because he's just not ever going to
(50:14):
be a four thousand passing yard guy. And I think
last year twenty five touchdown passes career high, So you're
just never going to get like premium passing numbers from him.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
You have to get that rushing production.
Speaker 2 (50:28):
I I want to if I'm planting my flag on
a guy in this group and we can lump Dart
in like it's it is still Herbert. I mean Herbert
ran for almost five hundred yards last year, Like there
is some rushing there, and I mean he has a
QB two finish on his resume, like there was seeing
a really high ceiling from him too, So like if
I had to plant really be like this is the
guy I want to invest in for me, it is Herbert.
(50:50):
But there's definitely cases for guys like Caleb two and
and and and Dart even I mean just giving the age,
and I do worry about dart staying healthy just like
like he doesn't seem that all that interesting in protecting
himself against concussions. He's like, you know, happy to kind
of just like dive head first all over the field
and you know, be reckless in a good way in
terms of the way his style of play, but a
(51:12):
bad way in terms of keeping him on the field.
So that would keep him at the bottom of this
tier at the very least for me, if not, you know,
at the top of the next tier. But I think
Mahomes is the other one that, like, if I'm planning
my flag on Herbert, it's the guy that I want
to be higher than you guys on. Mahomes is the
guy that, like, I mean, it's been three years since
he was better than QB eight in a season and
now he's, you know, thirty years old coming off the
(51:34):
ACL there are still question marks about his receiving court
where she Rice has have this new legal issues that
he's dealing with Travis Kelsey another year older. Like I'm
I'm not worried about Mahomes in terms of, like who
are the best quarterbacks of football, But I'm pretty worried
about him in terms of, like if I invested heavily
in him as a dynasty manager at this point, So,
uh yeah, that's how I feel about that. Let's go
(51:54):
to tier three here, Jackson Dart is at the top
of it. You already talked about him. Then it's Bo
Nicks at QB eleven, Brock Purdy, Trevor Lawrence, and Jordan Love.
Speaker 1 (52:03):
Obviously, you guys like Dart a lot.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
Is there another name in here that you think is
maybe a little bit too low or do you feel
like that next year before bow Nick's Brock Purty, Trevor Lawrence,
Jordan Love do belong outside the top ten fits?
Speaker 3 (52:16):
That's about how I have it too. I've got pretty eleven,
Love twelve, Lawrence thirteenth, Knicks fourteenth and Okay.
Speaker 1 (52:24):
So the exact same name is just in a little
slightly different order.
Speaker 3 (52:27):
Yep. And like Lawrence is the one guy I worry
that I might be a little too low on here.
It's funny like if you look at Trevor Lawrence's twenty
twenty five season, the numbers look very identical to some
of his previous recent seasons, other than the spike in
touchdown runs and a little bit of a spike in
(52:48):
rushing outage too. But from like late November on, he
went nuclear as a passer. I think his last sixteen
or last six regular season games, his touchdown to interception
ratio was like fifteen to one. He was having like
averaging over eight yards per attempt down the stretch. It
(53:10):
was like the Liam Cohen offense finally clicked for him
after some pretty bumpy spots as a passer in the
first month, month and a half of the season where
I thought he looked pretty bad to be honest, and
was worried like if he was actually regressing but down
the stretch. Man like, if this is the new normal
for Trevor Lawrence, then I've I've got him too low
(53:31):
At QB thirteen.
Speaker 1 (53:33):
Bob, mean, do you think this is the new normal
for Trevor Lawrence? This?
Speaker 2 (53:36):
You know, this historic fantasy finished just in terms of
fantasy points he's giving you.
Speaker 1 (53:41):
Is a QB in December? Or is this?
Speaker 4 (53:44):
I think so? I've been ripping my hair out, like
why do we not let Trevor Lawrence run? For his
first three seasons in the NFL. He had more rushing
yards his last year in college than justin fields. Did
let the dude run a little bit, so happy to
see that. But I do think that this is the
right tier, and this is the last kind of smallest
tier that I have, because I think it does open
(54:07):
up after this, agreed Fitz, would you throw Mendoza in here.
Speaker 3 (54:11):
I've got him. He's the first guy outside this group.
I think it's to me, it's it's after these guys.
It's like, and I know we're getting ahead of ourselves.
Mendozel cam Ward and then it gets real messy.
Speaker 4 (54:24):
Yeah, yeah, I have I have a couple more names.
But this is the like, this is the the younger
second group, right, Like you know, I think in a redraft,
you put you obviously put Mayfield up here. You have
Dak above these guys, probably for next year, right, So
you move a couple of these guys up, Jerk Goff
(54:45):
goes up. But these are the young guys that are
you know, they're either going to push into the next
tier in the next year or so, or they're gonna
fall and slide back into the other tier. And I
think that's kind of what we have in this group.
Speaker 2 (54:58):
I think if I was to make a case for
somebody to come up, it would be Dak just because
he is, like he's not quite on the same level
of Joe Burrow, obviously, but he is one of these
guys who has kind of consistently shown that even with
the lack of running, he can be like a very
high end option. Like he rushed for under two hundred
yards last year and was QB five on the season.
(55:21):
Some of that is the fact that he played all
seventeen games, but like, also he threw for forty five
hundred yards and thirty touchdowns, Like he's a very good passer.
They're going to keep George Pickens like at the very
least in the franchise tag, Like he has two good
weapons to throw to, not a great defense, so he
needs to throw a lot. Like two of his last
three seasons he finishes a top five quarterback. I know
that he's a little bit older. I think he belongs
(55:41):
behind these other names, but I don't know that he
belongs in a tier lower than like Jordan Love unless
you're just really heavily weighing the five year age difference.
But to me, that's like the only reason I would
see to be making that strong of a case. If
you include Dak Prescott in that group, then those are
kind of the fifteen names that if these guys, one
(56:01):
of these guys is a starter for me in superflex,
I'm really happy. Names beyond I think you can paint
a picture of like why it can work or why
there's more upside if a guy like Mendoza or whoever.
But those kind of first fifteen names or so are
the ones where I'm like, I'm feeling really good with
any of those guys as a starter for me in
in a dynasty format. The names in Tier four, which
(56:22):
we can just kind of loop into here, Dak Prescott,
Baker Mayfield, CJ. Stroud, Fernando Mendoza, Jared Goff, Sam Darnold,
cam Ward Kyler, Murray, Tyler Schuck.
Speaker 1 (56:31):
It's a pretty big tier.
Speaker 2 (56:32):
He goes from QB fifteen all the way to QB
twenty three, So kind of rounds out the guys that
you would expect to be starters in a super flex format.
You've already mentioned fits that you like. Mendoza obviously at
the top of this tier a year from now, if
like best case scenario, where do you think he's ranked,
Like how much higher do you think he gets?
Speaker 3 (56:51):
I mean, he could work his way into that Jordan
love of Trevor Lawrence bo Nicks tier. I think, like, can.
Speaker 1 (56:59):
You get higher than that?
Speaker 4 (57:00):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Absolutely absolutely, But I just I don't think he's gonna
smash as a rookie. New system still developing, Like maybe
the Raiders can sign or draft enough offensive line talent
to make that an average offensive line, but I don't
know if it's going to be above average. Hopefully they'll
get more than four games out of Colton Miller this year.
(57:21):
I like him a lot. I just don't know if
he's going to have such a smash of a rookie
season that we're putting him in the top ten next year.
Speaker 1 (57:31):
What do you think, Bugman?
Speaker 4 (57:33):
I agree with that. I think, you know, I think
after a month we could push him into Tier three, right,
it wouldn't be shocking. Like if he just comes out,
he's slinging the ball, The OH line looks way better,
Genti's working, Bowers is working, everybody's healthy. I think we
could just push him immediately into Tier three after like
four weeks, right, so that wouldn't be shocking. Could he
(57:54):
push up into Tier two? Maybe? I mean I don't
I don't see it. Like Jackson dar had the legs
to do it right. So I don't know that Mendoza
will run that much. He will bail and he'll take
the yards if you give him to him. But I
think it's less likely. The guy that I think in
this group might have gotten a little too much hate
(58:16):
is c J Stroud. I still have CJ. Stroud yea
into your three. Yeah, And that was the offensive line
was terrible. They didn't have a good running game. Nico
Collins got hurt, Tank Deldon play right, So there's you
can write a million reasons. Now. Look, he regressed too,
He threw too many bad balls.
Speaker 2 (58:36):
It was such a public playoff failure ye to such
an extreme level, and I think that's kind of made
it weighing on some people.
Speaker 4 (58:43):
Right, And you can't take those away. Those were terrible
performances by c J. Stroud. But I do think that
he has He's still young enough, he's still developing, and
he has good enough people around him to wear I'm
just not done with him yet. I haven't at fourteen,
So I would push him into the next group out
of this bunch here.
Speaker 3 (59:02):
I used to think much more highly of Nick Cassario
as a general management. General manager, but like what he
has done with the Texans or failed to do with
the Texans offensive line the last couple of years. Like,
you know your line is shaky to begin with, and
then your first move is to trade away Laramie Tunsel.
Speaker 4 (59:21):
Fix the old line, Larimye Tunsel. That was I know,
like that into it, But I honestly don't even think
it was contract. I think it was they hated him,
the locker room hated there were.
Speaker 3 (59:34):
A lot of penalties. I know he was still their
best lineman even though he committed a boatload of penalties
in twenty twenty four. I get it's why they moved on.
But like they the defense is great. There is no
excuse not to plow resources into that offensive line this year.
And I just think Stroud might look like a different
guy if he is not like worried about getting his
(59:56):
head taken off every time he drops back.
Speaker 2 (59:59):
The guy that I wanted to ask you guys about
in this tier that I thought disrespected is not the
right word, but maybe just a little undervaled Sam Donald.
His last two years, He's been QB nine and QB
thirteen across the season. He's only twenty eight years old.
He will be twenty nine before the start of next season.
But I mean, obviously, like, even setting aside the fact
that he just won the Super Bowl, he has been
(01:00:20):
a productive fantasy quarterback two years in a row. Now
he is theoretically, as a quarterback, your late twenties is
kind of the prime of your career. He is clearly
has taken a step forward compared to where he was
five years ago. They are losing their play caller, right
Klink Kubiak is not going to be there.
Speaker 1 (01:00:35):
You don't know how that's gonna work out.
Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
But is QB twenty maybe a little too low for
Donald given that he's been much higher than this two
years in a row.
Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
Fits I've got him QB nineteen. I think the biggest
knock on Sam Donald right now is that the Seattle
defense is so good they might be able to continue
playing the way they played in twenty twenty five, where
Sam Donald was frequently throwing twenty five or fewer times
a game.
Speaker 4 (01:00:58):
Bagman, I agree. I mean, I think that that's kind
of what it boils down to, because you're right, he
has had two good finishes in a row here, so
maybe we are being a little bit too harsh on him.
But we know he doesn't have the legs that some
of these other guys do. So for me, it's kind
of you know, do you want Fitzy? Would you rather
have Daniel Jones after what we saw from him? Or
(01:01:21):
Sam Donald?
Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
Oh? Donald easily?
Speaker 4 (01:01:23):
Okay, Well if that's easy, That'sld's a better quarterback, there's
no doubt, mind, I agree. I agree with that. I
do think Daniel Jones could run a little bit more,
and I think he was great in Indy, so I
really hope he stays there. But I have like, what
about Malik Willis or Sam Donald? Fitzy. We talked about
Malik Willis a little bit last week, but where would
(01:01:43):
we put him? Do we still have Donald ahead of
him because we've seen it.
Speaker 3 (01:01:46):
I do. I've got him at nineteen and Willis at
twenty two, and I know I'm way ahead of consensus.
Speaker 2 (01:01:50):
I mean, especially like Donald has played with really good
defenses in these last two years where he's been a
top thirteen quarterback and he's averaged something like forty two
hundred passing yards and thread passing touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
But I mean he was with excellent defense.
Speaker 3 (01:02:02):
He could be better, and that's like, that's sort of
an underrated factor in short term quarterback value because you
never know in Dynasty, you never know how things are
going to be in the long haul. But like what
happens if the Dallas defense got good and Dak Prescott
didn't have to come in like Rambo every week, like
firing all the guns and like that has contributed to
(01:02:23):
some of the crazy passing numbers Dak has been putting
up in recent years.
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
It's a good point, just.
Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
Quickly before we get to the last tier, because I
do think he is worth talking about. Just what's your
kind of mindset on ranking cam Ward right now?
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
Bogman?
Speaker 4 (01:02:37):
Yeah, I mean I still have a lot of I
saw a lot of love for cam Ward. I have
a difficult time putting him like ranking him efficiently, I
guess I should say, because I have him at twenty one,
right behind Donald and Prescott, and I have Malik Willis high.
I'm just so I'm so obsessed with this. Malik willis
rushing upside depending on where he lands, I think he's
(01:03:00):
gonna move way up. Fitz and I are just gonna
be way ahead of that curve right now. But cam Ward,
I think you get him weapons and he could be
much better. Who was his best weapon this this year?
Smir d k right, like Elick I am minor Chicka Konquall.
Who was his best target? Like, get him a couple
of targets. They have Calvin Ridley coming off in you know,
I are I don't know if he's going to be
(01:03:20):
back with this team. Uh, but you add a pick
high pick. They have the most. They have one hundred
million dollars of cap space to spend, so they're gonna
give him some weapons for sure, And I think he's
gonna have a much much better year this year. They're
gonna make Still holds the ball too long.
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
They're gonna be write about that. Alec Pierce a godfather offer.
Speaker 4 (01:03:39):
Please, Oh my god, that'd be such a good fit,
such a good yeah fits quick thoughts on wards ranking.
Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
Yeah, like him a lot. I mean, he was just
put in such a bad situation, and yeah, he looked
terrible from most of the year, but it was encouraging
that the last few weeks he seemed to turn a corner.
I don't know if he's ever going to be a star.
I didn't love him as a prospect, but I still
think there's considerable upside there, and I'm happy like I've
got him in a league and I'm fairly enthusiastic about him.
Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
Tier five.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
We don't need to spend too much time here before
wrapping up. I'm going to run it beyond QB thirty
to QB thirty three, and you'll see why when I
get to the name. The names here are, and they
run from QB twenty four to thirty three, Bryce Young,
JJ McCarthy, Matthew Stafford, Daniel Jones, Michael Pennix, Junior tow
A Tongueava Looa, Shadur Sanders, Ty Simpson, Anthony Richardson, and
then at QB thirty three, finally the guy you already mentioned, Bagman,
(01:04:30):
Malik Willis. We obviously are all a very strong consensus
that Willis is undervalued here. This is going to shoot
up when he is signed to whatever deal he ends
up signing a free agency and is going to be
the starter at whatever team he goes to. That's very obvious.
Just how high will he get though you already talked
about being very above consensus, Bogman, comparing him to guys
(01:04:52):
like Darnold and Ward who are up in the back
of Tier four as opposed to the back of tier five,
which is a large tier fits how why do you
think will have Willis when he signs?
Speaker 3 (01:05:02):
So I'm kind of anticipating that he signs right now.
It's twenty two, and apparently Arizona and Miami are like
the places to watch for him to sign. But like
I've got him at quarterback twenty two, I'm sort of
anticipating the move up and I don't think I have
to move him too much once he signs.
Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
To put it into perspective, how good I think Milike
Willis is. I really do not want the Steelers to
sign him. That's that's I'm afraid of him going to Pittsburgh.
So I would love if he goes to like Arizona.
I get him on him.
Speaker 3 (01:05:32):
You would probably love to see Aaron Rodgers come back
for another year, And yes.
Speaker 2 (01:05:36):
I would be very excited to do version two point
zero of McCarthy and Rogers in Wittsburgh.
Speaker 4 (01:05:42):
You're my friend, worm. But yeah, look, Malik Wills started
against Baltimore finished QB three right like for the week,
so we've seen flashes of the upside for him. Thirty
three is obviously way too low. I think he needs
to be right there in that group of like Donald
cam Wore and Tyler Shuck. If you want to put
him below those guys, great, And if you want to
(01:06:04):
wait until he signs, I also understand that, right, But
he's signed somewhere and he's starting. He's gonna be in
at least a QB two.
Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
And by the way, that Baltimore defense was better in
the second half than they were in the first half.
It wasn't that like terrible unit. And also, like I know,
the reason he finishes QB three was the running. He
rushed for two touchdowns in that game. But what impressed
me in that game was the passing. He looked awesome,
just throwing the ball like a true dual threat quarterback
for just a game. Right, small sample size, but I'm
really high on Malik Willis. Who else in this tier
(01:06:35):
stands out to you guys again, Bryce Young McCarthy. You know,
we know Stafford's older like Tua's in here, Panix.
Speaker 4 (01:06:42):
I like getting McCarthy right now, and because I think
he's dirt cheap, and look, he was miserable, so I
understand that right, Like he was really really bad, so
maybe picking him up dirt cheap. You know, there's a
reason why you can do that. But I think getting
any quarterback in the koc offense could be really good.
(01:07:04):
So I think if you can buy McCarthy just super
cheaply right now, I'm gonna probably go out and try
and do it.
Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
I get it. But just recognize the Zach Wilson potential here.
Speaker 4 (01:07:16):
Yeah, No, you're right, you're right, But that's what makes
him cheap right now, right.
Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
I get it, but that that outcome is a very
real possibility. And if that sense, like trading for him
is like running into a burning building.
Speaker 4 (01:07:30):
But would you give up, like this is a first second,
give up your second round pick this year in a
super flex, I think that is easy to do for McCarthy, right.
Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
First round, second round? Oh, second round? Sure, sure, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:07:45):
I mean I think, I think, and I think that's
you can't. No one's getting a first round pick for
Jaj McCarthy right now. So I think that's probably the
going rate. Maybe an add on attack on something like that,
maybe two picks, maybe a wide receiver or something like that,
but I think that's probably the cost right now because
he looks so miserable.
Speaker 3 (01:08:03):
I've got him. I've got McCarthy one spot ahead of Penix,
and I really struggled with that one. I just think
McCarthy can run, and whereas Penix, we don't want to
see him run because he's going to break something.
Speaker 4 (01:08:16):
And he's also a statue, so he's been getting killed
back there.
Speaker 1 (01:08:23):
I think we can go ahead and wrap up there.
I unless you guys really want to.
Speaker 3 (01:08:25):
Talk, I can I mention one guy who should be
in that tier in Away is kind of in the
midlik Willis category. I think Mac Jones starts for someone
in week one of twenty twenty six and should be
in that tier.
Speaker 4 (01:08:36):
I've got Mac Jones in this tier. I also have
Tyson Bagent in this tier because I hear the Cardinals
are kicking the tires on him from a couple of
people in Arizona. So interesting, and he's got a good contract,
and there's plenty.
Speaker 1 (01:08:49):
Where the ranked in the consensus Dynasty rankings.
Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Till five actuals. Man, Come on, you can't you can't
have ty Tyson Baige in ahead of Bazuka, Joe Melton, Okay, agent.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
Is QB sixty eight, more than twice as many, like
however many teams there are. He would be a QB
three in the NFL based on these rankings. He's behind
such illuminaries as Gardner, Minshew, Aiden, O'Connell, Zach Will.
Speaker 4 (01:09:16):
If you can get us for a fourth or a fifth,
do it?
Speaker 3 (01:09:19):
Interesting?
Speaker 4 (01:09:20):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:09:20):
That's that is an interesting one, all right? Any of
the final thoughts, Fits.
Speaker 3 (01:09:25):
I've got Pagent right behind Cole Payton right now. Who's
incoming rookie from North Dakota State, Toolsy, But it's going
to be a couple of years before he's ready for
