Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, everybody, Welcome into the Trade Block.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
I'm Ryan Warmley, joined as i am every month by
Pat fitz Morris. We are talking off things Dynasty here.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
As we usually do fits.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
We're going to run through some of the recent updates
to the Dynasty Trade Value chart that could be found
at fantasypros dot com. We update that on the first
of every single month all year long, so we'll go
through some updates there for the first half of the show,
and then in the second half of the show, we'll
call some folks up onto the stages. They can be
a part of the show, ask us some questions specific
to their team or big picture stuff, whatever they want
(00:34):
to talk about. We'll also answer some questions in the
chat as well. Again, that'll be the second half of
the hour fifty. How you doing here December? Like this
is it?
Speaker 1 (00:43):
We are in the month to win some championships here.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Yeah, going into the final week of the regular season,
so not much not much time left. You jockey for position,
get in the playoffs, get those buys if that's still possible,
and then yeah, the three week sprint to the finish line.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
How are you not all your teams across every league,
but How are your dynasty teams looking this year? Did
you end up being a contender or more of a
rebuilder in most of your leagues?
Speaker 3 (01:11):
I am it's a healthy mix. There are a couple
where I might have a title shot. There are a
couple where I'm rebuilding. There's one where I thought I
was going to be actually in our Fantasy Pro league,
I thought I might have a decent team this year,
and it's just been kind of a disaster.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
So that's okay.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
I knew it wasn't a finished product, but I still
like the roster. I think next year, hopefully I'll be
ready to contend. And then there was a league, the
King's Classic Dynasty League with a bunch of fantasy people
in the industry, where I thought I would be just
completely rebuilding, and somehow I just keep winning games and
I'm going to be in the playoffs. I have no
(01:49):
idea how because that team is terrible. But here I
am at like five or seven and six, yeah, on
the verge of getting into the playoffs.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
So it's really kind of a mixed bag for me.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
I've got one league where I've got like the third
overall pick this year, like just I thought I was
gonna have a good team. I certainly do not. You know,
sometimes it happens. That's the joy of dynasty. At least
you can turn around and say, well, I get a
high pick for my troubles here, all these injuries and everything,
and then the others I'm either in the playoffs or
fighting for a buye.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
So I'm in.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
I'm in a good spot in a few of these
dynasty leagues. I took over a league for the sort
of tags invitational league that a bunch of folks in
the industry area, and that that team's doing pretty well.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
That's in the playoffs. So that's kind of fun.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
To just step into a roster and get handed a
playoff spot right off the bat. Makes it easier on
my part. You and I were both just eliminated. I
think you were also from our Fantasy pros Guillotine league,
which was a bummer.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Yeah, we were the two victims, but my team was.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
So loaded, and it just that's guillotine. And you have one.
If JSN had even had you know, half.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Of his usual points, I would have advanced, but instead
he had two catches and that was I only lost
by about five points, and that was the difference.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
I too was thwarted by the dead JSN game. If
I got about an average game from JSN, I think
I would have squeaked in too.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Ye up, bumber to go this whole year. It's a
fun format. But let's jump into the Dynasty talk.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
That's what people are actually here for.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Like I said, we're going to run through some updates
from the Dynasty Trade value charts again updated the first
of every month. We have, very interestingly, a new name
atop the quarterback rankings.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
Fits.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
This is a ranking that it feels like vindication for
you and I and a lot of the conversations we've
had across the course of the last year. It's technically
a tie atop the rankings, but tied at the top
with Josh Allen is one Drake May.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
It's been a while in the making, I think, and
I think there's a good case to be made for it,
just because of how well he's playing and in the
here and now. I don't think he's as valuable as
Josh Allen. But Josh Allen is pushing thirty and Drake
May is in his early twenty.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
It's like like you and I have been saying for
a while that the upside here is a clearly like
a Tier one, top three guy, and given the age,
it's always been possible that that was going to mean
actually being number one if it. You and I certainly
didn't expect him to get there this year. We expected
him to take a step forward and be great. We
didn't expect him to usurp everybody at this point.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
But it's not.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
I mean, obviously Josh Allen's you know, three weeks ago
he had six touchdowns in a game, like he's still amazing.
But some of these other names that were ahead of
Drake may that were kind of locked into Tier one.
Jane Daniels has not, obviously, for a variety of reasons,
had a very good sophomore season. Patrick Mahomes is still ranked.
You know, he's the fourth most valuable guy in this ranking,
(04:45):
but not somebody who runs a ton.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
I'll always run more.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
This year, it's been an inconsistent offense. He's in his thirties.
And Lamar Jackson, who is still like super elite, but
it's had a really bad month while dealing with these injuries.
Is a poor offensive line, and he is nearing thirty
as well. So you wonder how longer Russians going.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
To keep up.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
So you're looking at a lot of these names around
Drake May and like, who are you excited about? Some
of these guys will probably still have better seasons than
May next year. It's certainly on the table, you know,
in the next couple of years. But I don't think
anybody just given the age and what they're doing this.
I mean, Drake May probably could win the MVP this season.
It's either gonna be him, Ry Stafford. That just the
enthusiasm if you have Drake May on your roster is
(05:21):
probably untouched by any other quarterback.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Yeah, and it's funny.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
I might even be underachieving a little in terms of
what I've thought he might do as a runner this year.
But the passing, Oh my goodness, Like I didn't see
this coming. He is so advanced as a passer, and
I would not be surprised if in a year or
two we talked about him as the best pure passer
(05:47):
in the league. And you know, right now, I think
that goes to either probably Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow.
I think Drake May is gonna be knocking on that
door very soon. I mean just he can can throw
a dart when he needs to into a tight window.
He can layer a ball between coverage when he needs to.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Just he has every throw in the book.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Wor it's just wildly impressive to watch him at his
age experience level. The talent around him not being amazing.
I mean it's improved over last year, but it's not
like it's, you know, some incredible setup that he's stepping into.
We say this a lot like quarterbacks can make the
situation look a lot better just on their own, Like
Stroud did it his first year in Houston that looked
(06:35):
like a terrible situation and then he was great. Drake
May is doing it now. We see this, you know
Jayden Daniels a year ago. I want to ask just
about at the top of this position in general, the
rankings wise, outside of May taking a step forward, haven't
changed too drastically, but the values are largely down at
the top. Like Josh Allen is still tied for the
most valuable, but his sort of like numerical value that
(06:57):
we assigned here, it was one twenty one in super
before this update. It's not down at one oh three,
and he's still tied for the top Lamar Jackson similar
he was up at like I think it was like
one eighteen or something. He's now down at ninety one.
So even though the rankings maybe aren't jumbling too drastically,
the actual values are going down. Does that say anything
to you about like just the approach of quarterbacks relative
(07:18):
to other positions even in super Flex? For you, is
this reflective of maybe it's just kind of a down
year at the top overall?
Speaker 1 (07:24):
What do you make of that?
Speaker 3 (07:26):
I think maybe there's a little more parody at the
position than we thought going in. I think coming into
twenty twenty five, we thought there was this huge separation
between a lot of the guys at the top and
then sort of the next tier or next two tiers.
And maybe there's not quite as much separation as we
thought because we've seen Lamar Jackson now is on a
(07:48):
really bad run. It not that we're going to say
Lamar Jackson is trash or anything, but he's looked more
mortal and the fact that he and Josh Allen are
starting get into their late prime. Maybe Jadan Daniels being
and we were worried about Jadan Daniels with his body
type and his style of play that maybe he might
(08:10):
be a little bit of an injury risk, and lo
and behold, he's missed a lot of time with injury.
And Patrick Mahomes has had even with a lot of
his shortcomings, I guess the last two years, I thought
maybe it was a problem with his lack of pass
catching weaponry, And now I don't think we can say
(08:31):
that with Savior Worthy and Hollywood Brown and Rashi Rice
and Travis Kelce, so you know, and he's been good
this year, but maybe not quite where he was at
the beginning of his career. So Jalen Hurtz has had
his troubles. So yeah, I think there are warts for
a lot of these guys at the top that maybe
(08:51):
we didn't see at the beginning of the year.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Some other big moves around the quarterback position.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
You can take a look on fantasypros dot com if
you want to kind of dive into these details.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
The one that I want to highlight.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
With you before we move off quarterback JJ McCarthy, Like,
what are we doing with him right now? You and
I have had a lot of conversations off air about
JJ McCarthy. We've had some conversations on air with our
friend Debro about JJ McCarthy from a you know, from
a redraft perspective, it's it's easy to kind of say,
like this, it's not happening this year obviously, and like,
you know, it's affecting the whole offense. But from a
(09:24):
dynasty perspective, we still got hm QB twenty two. He's
in the same range as Michael PENNOCKX Junior Kyler Murray.
Those are the guys that he's kind of sandwiched between.
The situation obviously, we still think is very good with
Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T J. Hockinson, Kevin O'Connell. You know,
you expect it to be a decent running game, but
it's been just I mean, like you could look up
(09:45):
any stat you want, and JJ McCarthy has been among
the worst at it advanced metrics, like more traditional stats
across the board basically this century, he's been one of
the worst quarterbacks like imaginable that we've seen. It's only
had what six starts of at this point. So, like,
I don't want to go too far overboard on hating
the guy who needs reps, clearly, but that's also what
(10:06):
we said about Anthony Richardson, like, Oh, he needs reps
and it'll start looking better, and then it just never
happened and now he is totally useless. Is McCarthy going
down that same track, or do you still have hope
for him?
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Fits I'm glad you mentioned Anthony Richardson's name because I
think that's the comp that applies here, because both guys
are very toolsy quarterbacks with their running ability and live arms.
But at this point they have failed so badly as
starters that for them to ascend to the point where
(10:41):
they are starters again, they're going to have to win
that job from a backup role. They are not going
to be given a starting job to start the twenty
twenty six season. They're going to start as backups somewhere,
you know, Indianapolis for Richardson, Minneapolis for McCarthy, or maybe
somewhere else for one or both of these guys. But
(11:02):
they're going to start twenty twenty six as backups behind
someone else, and they're going to have to either you know,
replace them due to an injury, replace the starter due
to an injury, or somehow reclaim the starting job on
the merits like either the guy in front of them
bombs or they're just so good in practice the coaches
(11:25):
decide like they might be an upgrade over what we've got.
But right now, I mean as a comparison where I'm
looking at the wide receivers, JJ McCarthy is the same
super flex value as Courtland Sutton and Jalen Knowle. I
think that's perfectly fair given the premium on quarterback. And
I love Jalen Nole. I think he's a terrific prospect.
(11:48):
You know, on one hand, I could see saying, oh, man,
I don't want to give up Jalen Knowell for this
bumb at quarterback. And on the other hand, I could
see saying, well, if if the light comes on and
JJ McCarthy figures it out, like this could be an
absolute steal getting him for a guy who right now
is kind of buried on his own team's depth chart
(12:09):
at wide receiver. So I think the value is right
for him, But what to do with him in dynasty, Like,
if you have him, he's a sunk cost, and it's
just a matter of if you want to take pennies
on the dollar for him, and if you're looking at
him as a reclamation project, Yeah, there's a chance he
could still pan out, but boy, what we've seen so
(12:31):
far not very encouraging.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Can we get a McCarthy for richardson trade in real
life and just give them kind of fresh starts to
other organizations? I mean, is it is kind of funny
to put the two of them against each other just
in this conversation, because it does feel like they both
check a lot of similar boxes just from what we've
seen in their careers so far, before we get to
(12:53):
the running back position. By now, most of you have
probably heard of Reality Sports Online the powerful fantasy sports plans.
Former owners get to build and manage their fantasy team
like an NFL general manager. But the question is, have
you tried it? It's time to go see what all
the buzz in the dynasty community is about. Free agency,
multi year contracts, are rookie draft, multi team trades, franchise tags,
contract extensions, first round rookie options, automated contract and salary
(13:16):
cap functionality, and much much more. I think it's on
as complicated it's not. The best thing about Reality Sports
Online Fantasy front office is that it doesn't take any
more time than a standard league. It just requires more
strategy think you're among the fantasy elite, Well, this is
the platform to test your metal.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
Still not sure?
Speaker 2 (13:31):
You can test out your general manager skills for free
in a mock free agency auction. If you like what
you see, use promo code Fantasy Pros to receive a
ten percent discount on your team or league today. That's
Promo code Fantasy Pros to receive a ten percent discount
on your team or league today. Fantasy just got real
at Reality sportsonline dot com. All right, fit's going to
the running backs here a new name of the top,
(13:52):
Jamiir Gibbs. Has you served b Jean Robinson. It's not
by much. They're still one and two by a wide margin.
I kind of think they should just be tied. Frankly,
like i'd obviously every he's gonna be super excited to
have either. Gibbs does kind of edge him out just
slightly here as of now, some of the names behind him,
you know, Jonathan Taylor, obviously having an amazing season, slowed
down a bit as of late relative to his insanely
(14:12):
hot start.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
Ashton Genty Devine ah Chan continues to be really explosive.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
Amaron Hampton, who we haven't seen for several weeks. I
was actually a little surprised that maybe he didn't drop
at all, Not that you know, we're out.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
On him or anything moving forward.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
We obviously liked him a lot coming into the draft,
but we've only gotten like five weeks out of him,
and some of those were very good weeks, but still
being ranked, you know, inside the top six here at
the position, James Cook, Buckier, a Travon Henderson takes a
leap forward.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Those are some of the names of the.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Top Does anybody jump out to you, you know, I
mean it's kind of the guys you would expect. Would
you quibble with the order here at all? Or that's
kind of about what you would have had if it
was just your rankings.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Yeah, it is pretty close to my rankings. I think
Hampton we can justify because he looked pretty good before
that injury. And while his offensive line is kind of
decimated right now, Eventually, I mean next year, Rashaun Slater
and Joe All will be back and that'll be a
pretty good line again, and I would assume they'd fortify
the interior a little bit.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
Brice Hall, he gained some value.
Speaker 3 (15:13):
Like we were talking about this on on one of
the other shows this week about what a tidy operation
the Jets have suddenly become for fantasy, where it's just
it's Breis Hall's backfield, and really there are only a
couple of targets in the passing game now with like
ed Ni Mitchell and John Matchi and and now Brice Hall.
(15:36):
I believe is he going to be a free agent.
I think he's going to be a free agent and
he's gonna go probably to a better team than the Jets,
So starting to come up, and our current value for
him still might not be enough.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
On we mentioned Amaron Hampton, Hampton, Trevon Henderson, r J.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Harvey? Is that the right order for those three rookies there?
They're very close in our rankings, they're trade value of
sixty three, sixty two RJ. Harvey or quitch On Jenkins
House r J. Harvey is right near him. So I
was reading the wrong name. I meant to say, Judkins, Hampton, Henderson, Judkins.
Is that the right order for those three? And they're
all kind of like within one of each other.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
I think so, I think, so, you know what, I
the one issue like Judkins, I don't know what he's
going to be as a pass catcher. Hopefully he will
be a better pass catcher than he has shown over
the last what six weeks when he's got like eight
receiving yards. I think he can catch passes. They're just
(16:38):
not having him do it.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yeah, if you were looking at kind of this range
as some of these veterans, Javonte Williams, Chase Brown, Kyron Williams,
Kenneth Walker. Not not the guys who are a lot older,
like Sayquan and Henry, but kind of the names I
just listed there who are like not old, but they're
not young either.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
We kind of know what they are. Do you have
a favorite of that group?
Speaker 2 (16:58):
If you were targeting in a tree for maybe like
you're trying to make a push here to get over
the hump for this season, but you want a guy
that will still give you some value next year, do
you have a favorite target of those types of names.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
I like the talent to perceived value ratio of Kenneth Walker.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
I just think he's really talented.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Not the most optimal situation right now with the Seahawks, seemingly,
you know, they like to give Zach Scharbona the ball
near the goal line, and maybe they like to give
Zach Sharbaonnay the ball a little too much. In the
offensive line I thought would be improved. This year still
hasn't been great, so there is still untapped production for
(17:45):
Kenneth Walker. I feel like his best year is still
ahead of him at some point.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
I think he's probably the one I like best.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
I think you put it very smartly in saying that
the kind of talent to perceived value ratio is the
best for him compared to some of those others, because
it does feel like there has been enough frustration for
Kenneth walker managers over the years that he is attainable.
I think all the names I listed are attainable for
(18:14):
the right price, but he feels like maybe the one
somebody like Javante if I was certain that he was
going to maintain the lead role in Dallas going forward
without competition. I'm totally comfortable with his talent and coming
back from the injury and consider him a smart target.
You never know what's going to happen with that sort
(18:34):
of setup when a guy was brought in on the cheap,
and what that's going to look like in the coming year.
Is they could easily draft, somebody, you know, find some
other way to address the position. So those are the
two that kind of would stand out for me. I
think we move on to the receivers here. Jackson Smith
and Jigua takes another leap forward. He is now number
(18:54):
two in the rankings and buy like a pretty good margin.
He's only once one kind of trade value behind Jamar Chase,
and he is seven trade value numerical ranking ahead of
third place, so he's a lot closer to first than
he is.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
The third feels totally fair.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Obviously, prior to this last game where he burned both
of us and in Guillotine, he's you know, been on
pace to maybe break the NFL receiving record and doing
it in like a situation where he's getting a lot
of the you know, percentage wise, a lot of the targets,
but it's not a very high volume passing offense. So
his his efficiency per target is just like a record
(19:33):
setting performance this year. So it feels totally fair that
he is. He is now in the conversation for number
one here. Obviously, somebody like Justin Jefferson has dropped a
lot that's clearly quarterback driven. I continue to be a
little nervous with somebody like pukuin Nakua being as high
as he is, just given some of the injury history
and the fact that it seems like they don't really
(19:53):
want to use him as a receiver when they get
close to the goal line because they have the greatest
goal line receiving weapon in NFL history and Devonte Adams
right there.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
So that's kind of hurt some of.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Nikua's value this season, and then just a couple of
some of the injury stuff. But there's not like there's
not a guy in that range that I want to
fight passionately for being ahead of him. You know, Ceedee
Lamb would probably be my choice, but I don't feel
strongly about it. You know, Amenra his his usual high
floor self coming off of a terrible game obviously due
to injury. You know, Neighbors is going to be coming
(20:23):
off injury for next season. Jefferson quarterback questions if Bukas
trailed off a lot. Drake London has some quarterback questions,
So you know, maybe even a guy like Rishi Rice,
you could argue should be a lot higher since most
dynasty leagues are PPR formats too, and you know he
just gets peppered with targets from Patrick Mahomes. But those
those are the names in the top ten, and it
feels it feels a little weaker than it has been recently.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
I feel like every.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Name I just read and I'll talk to you fis
because I know I've been kind of talking here for
a while. It feels like every name that I just
read to you is probably valued a little lower than
they were the last time we talked. Except JSN, he's
taking a step forward. I feel like almost everybody else
at least I'm like a little bit or a lot
bit down on depending on the situation.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
I totally get it.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
It is frustrating the Puka doesn't get red zone targets
and he does have that worrisome injury history, but man,
he is he's so talented. My wife happened to be
in the room in the living room when Puka made
that in St. Cash on Sunday, and even even she
was pretty impressed by that. And she doesn't care too
much about football. So yeah, I see a lot of
(21:28):
the same things you do worm where it's just none
of these guys are are totally without their fleas, you know,
and Justin Jefferson. I think is maybe the saddest case here,
just because now there is no solution in.
Speaker 4 (21:44):
Sights to the Minnesota quarterback problem.
Speaker 3 (21:46):
And at best they're probably going to have a bridge
guy like a Kobe Brissette type next year.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
At best for the Vikings.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
I love it Jacobe Brissette there.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
That would be the best case scenario, oddly enough, but
it could also be you know, Gardner Minshew type scenario.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
I don't know what they're gonna do. They are in
a spot, yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Outside the top ten. This is the order I'm reading
these names. Is the order they are ranked in this chart.
I'm curious if you would disagree on the rank. Tedo McMillan,
George Pickens, Nico Collins. I think that's a really interesting
group of three. Would that be your order or would
you mix that up?
Speaker 3 (22:24):
I think I would keep that order, I guess Tedoro McMillan,
I think i'd.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Rather Sorry, go ahead, I was just gonna yeah, I
just get quickly. I think I'd rather have Nico than Pickens.
But but Tedo McMillan, I think I agree.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
Is the number one of those three?
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Yeah, Dickens has looked so good right now. Dickens has
looked he's having the kind of season that Nico had
last year, and I think a lot is going to
depend on where Pickens ends up in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
I think that's why I'd rather have Nico because I
know he's going to be attached with CJ. Stroud, who
I still believe in, and I'm pool that they will
address the offensive line this offseason and the play calling,
and but I know that the talent is great for
both of them.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
I know the quarterback Nico is going to be with
the next three years.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
I don't know the quarterback George Pickens is going to
be with the next three years, which is why I
kind of tendelein Nico, and then Tet has his own
quarterback question mark. So the Bryce Young has looked good
at times as of late, but he's just such a
good player that I just want to have as much
t mac as I can.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
Yeah, that's a fair way of looking at him.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Some of the other names here that have moved a bit,
Jamison Williams goes up a little, Brian Thomas Junior has
moved down a little. Roam with DOONSA has moved down
a little Ricky Piersall moved down a little.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
He's obviously missed a lot of time.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Jordan Addison similar issues to s Justin Jefferson, of course,
Jayden Higgins taking a step forward, Christian Watson a step forward,
Alec Pierce a step forward. I think Watson's the one
I'd want to highlight with you before we move off
the position, just to step in, and looks really good
coming off of a gruesome injury less than twelve months ago.
He's currently wide receiver thirty eight in these rankings.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
I think that's.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Pretty justified, and I would be pretty I don't know
that I would want to go out and aggressively say, like,
go get Christian Watson no matter what, but I'd be
pretty happy if I had him on my roster with.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Good reason, size, speed ball skills, and he's attached to
a good quarterback. So that's kind of everything we're looking
for in The only really blemish in his profile is
the troublesome injury history. We can't forget about that. He's
already torn in acl and even before that he had
those chronic hamstring problems, though apparently he found an issue
(24:37):
or a solution to that problem.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
But then the ACL thing last year, So yeah, he has.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Had a remarkable recovery, returning so quickly from that torn
ACL and returning and being impactful.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
Would you rather have Hammer or his teammate Matthew Golden
because they're tied in value in the chart?
Speaker 4 (24:55):
You know how I feel about that?
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Or the reason they're tied is the reason they're tied
is not because of my rankings, but at that.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
I got have it assumed as much.
Speaker 3 (25:07):
And we haven't really seen We haven't seen like any
add stuff from Matthew Golden, Like he's mostly caught the
balls thrown to him that we're on target, but.
Speaker 4 (25:19):
It's just I don't know. I mean, he had kind of.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
A sparse production profile coming into the league, and we've
gotten sparse production.
Speaker 2 (25:28):
I'm gonna ask you two players versus Christian Watson. I
think I know what direction you're gonna go with both
of them, but I still want to find out. Would
you trade Quentin Johnston straight up for Christian Watson in Dynasty?
Speaker 4 (25:38):
That's interesting? I think I would rather have Christian Watson.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
I would agree with that. Would you trade Xavier Worthy
for Christian Watson?
Speaker 4 (25:54):
That one? I don't think I would just yet.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
I know Worthy as not having the kind of season
we hoped he would have, but man, he was pretty
convincing last year when Rashid Rice was out of the picture,
like he what he did over the second half of
last season as production that we still have not seen
Christian Watson reach. So plus, we don't really have the
same sort of injury concerns with Worthy that you know
(26:23):
we have with Watson. So I would say no on
that one.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
That's pretty much what I expected there Within a few
spots in the charts, I wanted to throw them out there,
but that's about what I thought it was going to be.
Let's go to tight end here before we start getting
to questions from folks who have their hands raised or
have dropped their questions into the chat. Brack Bauers, you know,
remains perched atop the tight end ranking.
Speaker 1 (26:45):
Straight.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
McBride's obviously looked really good at Chacoby Brissett, he moves
up a little lot.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
I'd be inclined to move.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Him even more if I was certain what the quarterback
position was going to look like in Arizona going forward.
There's obviously a bit of a question mark there. Tyler
Warren stays in a spot at third, dropping just the
hair and val you but you know, still obviously thought
of very highly. Tucker Craft right behind him, obviously, you know,
not getting anything from him the rest of the year.
Ronnie Gadsden, who has fallen off a bit in the
last month. He really only has two I think I
(27:12):
think it's two double digit scoring games and half PPR
scoring this season. It was the back to back earlier
this year. Hasn't really happened since, but he's still inside
the top five. Sam Laporta, Colston Loveland takes a step forward.
He's had a bit of a mini breakout here in
the last month. Jake Fergus and George kittlehrold fan in
that rounds out the top ten. Is there anybody inside
the top ten that you would say you like, strongly
(27:34):
disagree with.
Speaker 4 (27:37):
Disagree with.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
No, I'm pretty much on board with all these rankings
and maybe have Loveland ahead of I'd rather have loved
one than Laporta, and I think I might rather have
Loveland than Gadston. They all have the same ranking. That's
what I would say for me personally. I think Loveland
is a cut above Gadsden and in better pedigree than
(28:02):
Gadsden as far as where they were drafted, and I
think I'm a little more convinced with what we've seen
from Loveland than I am with Gadsden. At Loveland is
going to be long term a high level fantasy tight end.
I think Gadsden will be, but I'm more certain of
it with Loveland.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
If you were taking a swing on one of the
tight ends that are closer to like the late teens
early twenties, who haven't totally broken out yet, but you're
saying like, hey, I want to maybe get them included
in a deal or just go trade for them straight
up because I want to address the position for the future.
Would you rather Isaiah Likely who's seventeenth in these rankings,
Terrence Ferguson, who's twentieth, or Elijah Arroyo, who's twenty first.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
I would rate it likely Ferguson. Arroyo really intrigued by
Ferguson because he is an athletic freak. I just hate
that he's being used in a year four tight end
mix with the Rams on a team with two excellent
wide receivers.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
So it's not a great situation.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
For him right now. But the talent is very intriguing.
We've talked about this before, where I'm Isaiah Likely is
going to be a free agent this year, and so
is Mark Andrews. Either Likely stays and Andrew goes, in
which case Likely is the number one tight end on
a team that uses its tight ends a lot, or
Likely goes somewhere else and gets his chance to shine
(29:29):
without having to share.
Speaker 4 (29:30):
Snaps and targets with Mark Andrews.
Speaker 3 (29:32):
So I think Likely is not a bad target at
all to go for if you're looking to make moves
here in the waning weeks of twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
You already know how I feel about Likely, So I'll
spare everybody listening a repeat of something I pretty much
say every time we talk about him. I really like
Terrence Ferguson a lot, and I think there's a world
I think. I don't think this is a guarantee, but
I think gets enough of a non zero chance that
what I'm about to say will happen that I would
(30:05):
be really interested in adding him. There is a world
where a year from now, DeVante Adams says, you know
the father time has hit and he takes a step.
We know when it happens, it happens fast. I know
he's been really good this year, especially in the red zone,
but when it happens, it happens fast. And if in
year two Sean McVay says, hey, I have this athletic
freak who's flash at tight end. You're you know, tight ends,
(30:28):
a position that takes will in the NFL, but he
takes a step forward. He's better than these kind of
veterans that we've had him splitting time with. I think
there's a world where he's the number two target for
the Rams next season.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
I do.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
I'm not saying that that is definitely gonna happen, but
I think for a guy who's currently being valued as
tight end twenty in these rankings, I think the potential
of that scenario happening. Because if that happens, he's all
of a sudden the top eight tight end, and the
potential of that happening, I think is enough to be
worth going after.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
Yeah, and even if even if Pooka and Davante were
both there, I would just like to see him in
the sort of role that Tyler Higbee had for the
Rams a couple of years ago, where he was just
the tight end instead of you know, chopping it up
four ways with Higbee Colby, Parkinson Davis all and it's
just frustrating.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
Right now, you.

(31:44):
getting some of these questions from the listeners.
Speaker 3 (31:48):
Pull over to Yeah, should we since we probably only
have about thirty minutes to go, should we ask people
to give us their question or maybe two and then
sort of return them to the audience and an answer.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Yeah, we can definitely do that.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
I'm trying to get it's not a right, sorry, trying
to get navigate discreader.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
All right, I've got him starting to come up. Do
you want to run through some of these in the
chat first? Even when we start people calling up on
the stage.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
We have so many waiting to come up on stage.
Speaker 3 (32:17):
Let's do that, and with the time we have left
at the end, we'll hit some of the ones in
the chat.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
All right, So, like Fitz said, to everybody listening, we'll
bring you up, we'll get your question out, and then
we'll send you back to the audience, just so we
can try and save time and get as many people
as possible call it first.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
Here is yaoser.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
Hey, guys, real quick.
Speaker 5 (32:36):
So I picked up Jordan Mason before the season to
back up Aaron Jones on my Dynasty team. Well that
hasn't worked out. And also I've been holding on to
Marphon Lloyd, So I'm just wondering what to do with
Minnesota backfield and Lloyd as a Packer Dynasty player.
Speaker 2 (32:54):
Awesome, Fitz, I'll let you kind of hit on Lloyd first,
just as the Packers guy here.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
A little worried that he is never going to be
able to stay healthy. I fear he is made of
glass and might not get a chance. And it doesn't
help that they seem to really like Emmanuel Wilson and
Chris Brooks, so he is blocked and I I'm kind
of hoping they just sort of let him go and
(33:20):
give him an opportunity somewhere else. But right now I
think he is just if you want to keep him
with the last spot on a twenty eight or thirty
man Dynasty roster, I'm cool with it.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
But it's just it's gonna be hard for him. He's
gonna be one of these.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Guys like Kendray Miller who's always perennially hurt. And then
Kendray Miller started to get his opportunity this year and
then he got hurt again, So I'm kind of worried
he's gonna follow the same track.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
I loved Lloyd coming out as a prospect. I was
right there with Debro who was all in on Lloyd.
He was like kind of my favorite, kind of like
second back half of the second round Dynasty rookie draft
target at running back that year. But you're right, like
I just I am very worried about the health long term.
So if there's no real to drop him, don't. But
(34:06):
if there's somebody that you really want to kind of
invest in, I'd be willing to make room for him
with Lloyd's spot.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network also had Marshawn Lloyd as
his number one running back in that year's class, in
that class.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Bummer when injuries getting the way and in this case
also opportunity. What about the Vikings backfield, like just in general,
like Mason, I have both Mason and Jones in a
dynasty league of my own, so I can kind of
relate to Tiauza here. What are you doing with that
backfield in general?
Speaker 4 (34:35):
Right?
Speaker 1 (34:35):
And if fits are you trying to sell either of
those guys? Are you just holding?
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Are you just gonna invest in whoever the next person
is they bring in and have all three?
Speaker 1 (34:42):
What are you doing?
Speaker 4 (34:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (34:46):
I mean Aaron Jones is pretty old. I believe he's
thirty right now. The injuries are starting to pile up
a little bit with him, and he's just having a
hard time staying on the field for more than a
few games at a time. But I'm like, he's still good,
so I just kind of keep him and Jordan Mason like,
(35:07):
he's not really a guy who interests me in dynasty
just because he does not add anything as a pass catcher.
And if you're in a full point PPR dynasty league,
as most dynasty leagues are, I just I don't think
he's ever going to be someone you're real excited about playing,
or it's going to give you like great long term
value just because he's such as zero as a pass catcher.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
Let's go to the next question here from Catalysts.
Speaker 6 (35:34):
So right now, in my twelve team ten starter PPR
titaned Premium Superflex, I missed out on the buy. So
I'm just trying to like went through wildcard starting playoffs
next week, and I just want to know that I
only have one viable quarterback in May, and just want
to know before I if I have to trades, if
this off them roster can win for me. Chase Brown, Woody, Marx, Tregon, Henderson,
(35:58):
Jsen Picking, Tippic, Millan, Buka, Tyler, Warren, and Fannin.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
Yeah, so, Fitz, I don't know I was right now
some of those names, Chase, Chase Brown, Marks, Travion, Jason Pickens,
Tyler Warren, Harold Fannin obviously Drake May I mean Jason's
last game aside obviously, I mean I think that's the
Igbuka too, like pretty good receiving core. They're obviously very strong.
I think that this is worth kind of trying to
make a push here.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
Fits.
Speaker 2 (36:24):
It's also pretty young team, so a lot of opportunities
in the future too.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
I like the roster, and you will have even with
the handicap of not having a number two quarterback in
a super flex league, you're gonna have a puncher's chance
in every matchup you're in. But it does put you
at a little bit of a disadvantage. You're basically giving
the opponent a little bit of a head start.
Speaker 4 (36:47):
That is a really good roster.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
I like it a lot, and you you could possibly
make a run. And how cool would it be to
get to the championship game without a second quarterback?
Speaker 4 (36:59):
It will be very cool.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
Would would you be willing to spend up to try
and get a second one? Though?
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Fits? Yeah? I mean I at rosters. Maybe I don't know.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
Do you think it's worth going all in worm and
like selling off the future to do that, because I
feel like it's not one of these Oh this is
so ridiculously stacked a team.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
But it's pretty close to getting to that point.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
I mean, if you think about trading away draft capital,
he doesn't he doesn't have a need at tight end.
He is Warren and Fannin. He obviously has one stud
quarterback already, so it's not like he needs to get
another if he's trading to acquire a good quarterback. He
has a great trio of receivers in JSN, Pickens and
Iguca for the long term, so it's really just like
(37:48):
he doesn't have that true stud running back. But besides that,
and then obviously, like ideally, assuming he's addressing the quarterback position,
there's not that much he needs to spend his draft
capital on besides death and like hoping, it takes things
to get like a true RB one, So I don't
mind it, honestly, Like I wouldn't give away three firsts
unless you know you're getting like a Josh Allen or somebody.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
Like I would.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
I wouldn't be doing that type of trade, but I
wouldn't mind giving away some draft capital to try and
get a quarterback because soon as long as it's not
a I probably wouldn't I off like Stafford, because I would.
I would want a quarterback that I'm reasonably confident it's
still going to be around for the next few years.
But anybody younger than him, I'd be on board with it, honestly.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
Yeah, I mean, would the Jacoby Brissettes stay Colder turn
down a second round pick for him?
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Yeah, that's a great call.
Speaker 2 (38:35):
That's one where you can overpay because what incentive does
that manager have to hold on to Brisset and you're
hanging on to her first and now you have two quarterbacks.
I like that call a lot actually as an option.
So let's go to another question here fits. This is
from Nick.
Speaker 7 (38:55):
Hey, guys, be ship this as always, I am in
a good position, locked in a playoff spot, fighting for
a buye. I'm curious. We had spoken a few weeks
back about figuring out my RB two and now I
think I'm at the point to kind of make the
push for it. I have b Jean Robinson, and then
it drops down to like Jordan Mason, like Singletary, Sean Tucker,
(39:17):
Manuel Wilson, bunch of guys who are like barely his
startable room is like Ibuka London, A J. Brown, Higgins, McConkie, Metcalf,
and then exciting rookies Burden Bryant, Noel. What I'm wondering, like,
there's a few teams that are at the bottom who
either have already been eliminated or are about to be.
Speaker 8 (39:40):
I've been talking to try and get Chase Brown, but
I don't know if he's like someone to necessarily go
after with the whole samaj p Ryn mix In or
like another guy who's eliminated has Quin Shawn Judkins, who
I guess doesn't necessarily need him right now. Jalen Warren
is on one team I could go after like Derek
(40:00):
Henry maybe or like Bucky maybe pay up for that.
But I'm wondering, based on what my team is, who
you'd try and trade out to get those guys just
to fill up up that spot.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
It's what comes to mind for you first.
Speaker 4 (40:14):
I mean, who who to go after? Who to give up?
Speaker 3 (40:17):
Like, I'm all right, yeah, I mean I'm mostly trying
to deal picks with that because I don't want to
weaken myself. I don't know if you've already like sacrificed
some picks from twenty twenty six or twenty twenty seven,
but like I would kind of start with that just
so you don't have to like weaken your core to
try to detract from one position to try to fix another.
(40:40):
But I mean, I think Henry would probably be pretty affordable,
just because I mean who's going to be holding your
feet to the fire in a deal when we've already
seen that maybe some signs of decline this year, and
I don't think anyone is clinging too tightly to him.
Chase Brown and Jalen Warren are interesting. I think they
(41:02):
both have pretty good schedules down the stretch. Boy, you
almost had your problem solved with the Tyrone Tracy injury
last night. Thinking that too, and Devin Singletary having this
fantastic scheduled down the stretch, But it sounds like the
Tracy injury might not be that serious and he might
be ready to go when the Giants come out of
their week fourteen by so still might be an option though,
(41:25):
because he was getting basically half the snaps and more
than half the carries last night, and that schedule is great.
It's a lot of bad run defenses the Giants are
going to be facing in their last weeks fifteen, sixteen,
seventeen in the Fantasy playoffs. So yeah, I mean, I
(41:45):
guess Derrick Henry would be my first choice, and I
would probably try to see what they are willing to
take as far as draft capital for him.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
I agree Henry would be the top choice for me,
because I think you know that if he's not on contender,
that contender should be very incentivized to trade him, and
not like you said, hold your feet to the fire,
Chase Brown, I'd be fine with. I wouldn't overpay for him,
but I would pay his cost for him. I wouldn't like,
only take him if I can get like a steal.
(42:15):
Judkins is obviously very appealing, but even with his manager eliminated,
I'm guessing they'd want to hold onto him as just
like a long term piece, given that he's a rookie.
Those would be like I'd probably be more interested in
one of those paths than Jalen Warren Personally, I agree.
I think if you can trade from draft capital capital,
excuse me, I prefer that as opposed to taking away
(42:36):
from the core. Now, I mean, you could talk me
into fits something like aj Brown for Judkins as the
centerpieces in a deal, just given that he's got a
lot of receiver depth and Brown has been really up
and down this year, is starting to get a little older.
I'm not saying that I don't like I don't think
I want to do that, but you could talk me
into something like that. And saying like, Okay, you're basically
(43:00):
taking one good player and moving him to a good
player at a different position.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Yeah, I'm just if the Judkins managers out of it.
I'm not sure the Judkins manager takes that deal since yeah,
probably what like twenty eight or whatever.
Speaker 4 (43:14):
That's the thing.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
Judkins is just too expensive and I don't know if
you're going to get the bang for your buck this
year with him, just because that offense is, you know,
not great. They're playing in all these games with Vegas totals.
I mean, the Vegas total for Brown's Titans this week
is like thirty five or something like that.
Speaker 2 (43:34):
And I think he's still probably like an overqualified RB
two though it's not like he's his RB one.
Speaker 3 (43:41):
He is, but there's a little bit of a ceiling
just because that team doesn't score a lot of touchdowns
and he doesn't catch passes or at least has not
been lately.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
Yeah, all right, let's bring up another speaker here. This
is Dusty.
Speaker 5 (43:53):
I have this.
Speaker 9 (43:54):
Super flexed Titan Premium Dynasty League team that has just
been a nightmare to deal with, and I'm trying to
see if I can finally just rest for a year
and see if I could fix everything. In twenty twenty seven,
I was able to collect three twenty twenty seven first
and two twenty twenty seven seconds, and then that second
(44:16):
should be early based off of how this guy's build
is looking. I thought my quarterback situation was fixed, but
I'm now wondering should I try to do some shopping
around because I've got Daniel Jones, which ended up being
a miracle. I got JJ McCarthy who looked eh. But
do I just sit on him for a while? And
(44:37):
then I've got Justin Fields and that is like a
whole other thing. So in the off season, like, if
things look great for him, do I just try and
ship him out, try to get something half decent, or
try and get more picks? What are you guys thinking?
I feel like, tight end, I'm fine for the twenty
twenty seven season because I've got gatst In, I've got Likely,
(44:58):
and I've got Ferguson on my taxing, so I feel
like that's fine. And then receivers or whatever, running backs
I got Harvey, That's basically all that really matters. Pierce
All and Troy Franklin for wide receiver, those are the
only ones.
Speaker 6 (45:11):
Of note, what do you guys think on how to
fix this?
Speaker 1 (45:17):
Yeah, it's good.
Speaker 2 (45:17):
It's going to take some work to fix this, as
you are already aware, fits what's your first reaction?
Speaker 1 (45:24):
Where where would you start when hearing all that?
Speaker 3 (45:27):
Basically, Dusty just has one quarterback because it's Daniel Jones, who,
at least I think the Cults are pot committed to,
and so he is going to be one starter. But basically,
as we talked about earlier, JJ McCarthy and also too
well justin fields like those guys aren't going to be
(45:48):
given starter shots in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 4 (45:50):
They're going to be.
Speaker 3 (45:51):
Back up somewhere and they're going to have to either
earn their time or fall into playing time due to injury.
I mean, he's going to have to He's going to
have to address that in the draft, and they're no
sure things a quarterback in twenty twenty six, and the
class in twenty twenty seven maybe a little more promising,
but and we know how hard it is to trade
(46:11):
for quarterbacks in super flex dynasty, So I'm gonna have
to throw some darts in twenty twenty seven, I think
probably one of those ree first rounders is probably going
to be have to be spent on a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
Fitz, do you think Daniel Jones will be the cult quarterback?
Not in twenty twenty six, but in twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (46:34):
It's a good question. It's a really good question.
Speaker 2 (46:37):
Is Dusty is playing for twenty twenty seven, So if
you think that Jones won't be by then I wonder
if it makes sense to be willing to trade. I mean, like,
this is not a team that's anywhere near contention. So
I almost wonder if you think that Jones is like
the you know clock's going to strike midnight on the
Cinderella run by him, that you trade him, maybe to
(46:59):
a quarterback team and try and get another first if
you can, even if you can't, accept something lower than that,
and just say listen, like I don't really believe in
McCarthy and fields, but let me kind of lock in
Jeremiah Smith with my own first rounder in twenty twenty
seven and then have you know, two or three other
picks to hammer away at the quarterback position.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
Something like that.
Speaker 2 (47:21):
I'm almost not a post like this is such a teardown,
like to the Studs rebuild from the bottom.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
I do like his tight end room.
Speaker 2 (47:30):
But like I my opinion when I when I hear
all that is like trade anything not nailed down, which
is basically you know most of the entire team.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
I love that he has three firsts in a.
Speaker 2 (47:40):
Class we like a lot plus two seconds and then
just take a bunch of swings from here. Like I
kind of want to operate as if none of Jones,
McCarthy or Fields are going to be a starting quarterback
in twenty twenty seven. If you keep one of them
on your team and they are, that's gravy great, you've
got some depth. But like if it were me, I
would operate as if none of those guys will and
(48:00):
the one that you can get someing a value for
for now is Jones. So I would be open to
doing it.
Speaker 3 (48:05):
Yeah, I think that's a good way to look at it,
worm because I agree if we're talking about whether Daniel
Jones is going to start for the Colts in twenty
twenty seven, I'd probably say it's less than fifty to fifty.
And one other thing I would consider is maybe, like
there are a couple guys who are eventually going to
get their shots and who could maybe be acquired cheaply now,
Joe Milton is one because of his tools, He's just
(48:28):
going to get a look as a starter at some point,
and I think you could get him fairly inexpensively.
Speaker 4 (48:36):
Oh man, where was I going with this?
Speaker 3 (48:38):
While Will Howard is one, I think eventually he'll get
a shot in Pittsburgh. Oh Jalen Milroe was the other
guy was thinking of in Seattle. I mean, he's kind
of buried right now, and I think Sam Darnold is
going to be their guy going forward.
Speaker 4 (48:52):
But at some.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Point, like Milroll is so toolsy, such a fantastic runner
and has such a strong arm, if not always super accurate,
he's gonna get a look too at some point. So
those are I wouldn't mind tucking away one guy like that,
either mil Row or Joe Milton. Maybe Will Howard's kind
of on a different in a different category.
Speaker 2 (49:16):
Before we go to the next question, I want to
remind everybody to join our Fantasy Pros Discord community chat

Welsh and ericson Thursdays at two eastern. Come get your
(49:37):
questions answered and be on the show at fantasypros dot
com slash chat. Got a few more questions here, let's
call up Jack.
Speaker 10 (49:46):
Hey guys, So this is my first year doing Dynasty
and my brother is like totally tanking and my team
is crazy good with Gibbs, jsn, Rashie Rice. I have
really solid tight ends fan in Pits and Kittle, but
I think to maybe try to like go extremely overboard
(50:09):
on this season. In the future, trade like a ton
of draft.
Speaker 4 (50:12):
Capital for Rop Bowers.
Speaker 10 (50:15):
My average roster age is like twenty six and I
have I think, pretty pretty solid lineup. He'd turned down
my offer. I put it in the chat. It's kind
of insane. Three first round picks and three second round
picks and George Kittle.
Speaker 1 (50:35):
Is it Is it a tight end premium league or
or no?
Speaker 10 (50:38):
No, it's just like a normal two flex wide receiver,
running back, tight end and then one quarterback.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
Wow, that is a lot that he turned down for Bowers.
That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (50:53):
Yeah, that really is looking at that deal right now
only smokes. Yeah, I mean, and only one of the
picks is oh, two of the picks are twenty twenty eight,
but he is he is just his team has no
hope of contenting. Does he have any hope of contending
in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 10 (51:14):
He is probably gonna get Jeremiah Smith, and he has
like a kalb Rome stack not really looking the best
for him, but you know, he thinks he's got something.
So I don't know, just one of to ask your
guys opinion. I thought it was kind of crazy giving
(51:36):
up a lot and he still turned it down, so
I just wanted to kind of like check myself.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
Yeah, well I wouldn't raise your offer because it is
already a lot that you're giving up. My reaction to
that is, I think your brother is insane for past
like fits. And I love nobody loves Bowers more than
Fitz and Bogman on this show, and I obviously love
him a lot too. And even having said that, like,
(52:02):
I don't think trading like like three first. I guess
with them being a couple of years away is a
different story. But three first for any tight end is
like a ton and if you're like trying to get
over the top and have a lot of young players anyway,
Like you know, this is supposed to be fun. I
don't mind going all in every now and then. For
him to turn that down is like pretty pretty bonkers.
(52:23):
I would I would pretty strongly side with the I'd
rather have the three first and three seconds and Kiddle
side of that.
Speaker 4 (52:31):
Maybe thank you.
Speaker 3 (52:33):
Yeah, maybe maybe Jack's brother is just sensitive to charges
of collusion and doesn't want to do that. But it
was definitely an earnest offer. So yeah, hopefully that.
Speaker 2 (52:45):
Is your brother, like a Georgia grad who also is
a Raiders fan or something like that.
Speaker 10 (52:51):
No, he just drafted him with his first overall or
first round pick. I think it was like ninth overall
in our draft and kind of got bit with getting
hurt and then Bucky also getting hurt, so he kind
of like sold his whole roster and started the tank.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
Well, like Fitz said, it was an earnest offer. Thanks
for thanks for coming on, Jack, All right, thanks guys, Fitz.
Let's wrap it fire here.
Speaker 2 (53:16):
Whatever we can do, probably won't get to everything since
we're up close to an hour here, but we'll see
what we can get through. We've got a couple of minutes,
so left before we hit the hour mark, because we
did start a couple of minutes late. Let's see trade.
The herbs and cheese traded away Courtland Sutton twenty twenty
six one O four, and at twenty twenty six fourth
received Darnell and Wattle.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
How did I come out?
Speaker 2 (53:36):
He needed a quarterback for this week with Mayam Bay
and Kyler on ir.
Speaker 3 (53:41):
I'm okay with it to do it now again, I'm
just not that excited by the twenty twenty six draft,
so I'm willing to sacrifice a lot.
Speaker 4 (53:52):
Plus. I think he got.
Speaker 3 (53:54):
More I don't know, more dynasty value with Wattle cashing
in Sutton for Wattle, don't you think, and more immediate value.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (54:02):
I like this move, and like, I feel like this
is gonna be one of those years where if you
had the first pick, great, you get Jeremiah Love. If
you don't have the first pick, I think it's gonna
be a lot of like personal preference between picks like
three to nine. We're gonna dive more into that as
we get into January.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
Fith.
Speaker 2 (54:17):
That's kind of like my early read on it, where
I like giving away one of these like fourth or
fifth overall picks this year. I think is fine in
my early estimation of it. And I like Wattle, you know,
just as a guy to invest in compared to Sutton,
So I'm on board with that.
Speaker 1 (54:32):
This question.
Speaker 2 (54:32):
Here, traded a twenty twenty six early first round pick,
a twenty twenty seven first round pick and Tory Horton
for CMC, Wattle and a twenty twenty seven to third.
Speaker 1 (54:42):
How did I do so?
Speaker 2 (54:43):
Again, that's an early twenty twenty six first and a
twenty twenty seven first, But you get CMC and Wattle
and you get back a third.
Speaker 4 (54:51):
I think it's fair.
Speaker 3 (54:53):
It's the price you got to paint it to go
all in, and I think it's a totally fair deal.
Speaker 1 (54:59):
Yeah, yeah, I agree.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
If you are a win Now team, I think this
is totally good. Is O'maron Hampton coming back this week
was a question earlier. Seems like it there's a real
chance of it. Their early reports are that it seems
like they think he will. We'll see for sure.
Speaker 1 (55:13):
That is a Monday night game, so you obviously want
to pay close attention to that.
Speaker 3 (55:16):
Yeah, it seems better than fifty to fifty, Like there's optimism.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
Yeah, who are you keeping for next season? With these
running backs? He already has Jonathan Taylor, R. J. Harvey, Woody, Marks,
Javonte Williams, Kyle Manungai, Bashall Tooton.
Speaker 3 (55:31):
Well, I'm guessing this isn't a dynasty question, more of
a keeper question. But I mean I want to keep
all of them. I guess the guy I maybe least
sold on for the future.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
Well, you can only he can only keep one of
those five.
Speaker 3 (55:46):
Oh, I see, yikes, Harvey, Marx Vante Manag.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
Guy, if you can.
Speaker 2 (55:53):
Wait till next summer to decide, I would actually probably
just keep Davante if he ends up going into next
season as the clear start. I don't know that that'll
be the case, so you have if you have to
decide early. I might be more inclined to just keep
one of these rookies. Whoever you like best, probably Harvey,
But if you don't want to kind of play the
Broncos Sean Payton game, I get it. Manonga is my
(56:16):
favorite of the runners besides Javonte. He is the worst
draft capital, but like I just like Manogai a lot.
Speaker 3 (56:23):
So everyone talked about how awesome this rookie running back
class is and you know, the only running back in
the rookie class to have more than one one hundred
yard rushing day, it's kamanan Guy, a seventh round pack.
Speaker 2 (56:37):
Wow, that's a remarkable stat that is absolutely wild. I
like Manonguy honestly, so I'll say him unless you can
wait and Javonte is still the lead back.
Speaker 4 (56:48):
I like that answer.
Speaker 2 (56:49):
Is there a value quarterback that you consider trading Addison
for straight up to get super flex upside and for
rebuilding purposes four point passing touchdowns Addison?
Speaker 3 (57:00):
All right, let's look at well, we're going to consult
the trade value chart here. We've got Addison given a
value of fifty fifty.
Speaker 4 (57:13):
And we're talking superflex, so that the.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
Kind of upside for a rebuilding team. Cam Ward is
a fifty two.
Speaker 4 (57:20):
Yeah, that's a good one. And CJ.
Speaker 3 (57:23):
Stroud, who I think does have upside. I just think
he's been sort of thwarted by his offensive line. But
that offensive line has played better lately, and he's got
a ton of pass catching talent around him with Nico
Collins and the two Iowa State kids, Illinol and Jayden Higgins.
Speaker 4 (57:40):
Like, I'm excited about him.
Speaker 3 (57:42):
So yeah, those are probably the two you guys would
best fit that description.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
Stroud and you could squint and make the case for
Trevor Lawrence, who's a forty seven. I'd rather have those
other two, but I think you can make the case
for him if you really wanted to take I mean,
we've seen a lot lately of quarterbacks being much better
by the time they get to year six, seven, eight.
I'm not saying it's going to happen for everybody, but
like Baker, Sam Darnold, Gino, like this is not in
(58:08):
you know, Daniel Jones, I wouldn't say there's zero chance
Lawrence ever takes a step forward.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
I would prefer the other two.
Speaker 2 (58:14):
Though, traded Addison in twenty twenty six firsts, which will
be including a top four pick to acquire Jefferson. Thoughts
on the move and any other moves to help with
the rebuild. So he's got his team here in the chat.
So he traded Addison and two twenty twenty six first
including one in the top four, to get Jefferson.
Speaker 1 (58:32):
I do like the move.
Speaker 2 (58:33):
Even though Jefferson obviously has this quarterback question mark, Addison
has the same question mark, So I still, you know,
We're still much higher on Jefferson, obviously, and as we
just said, the twenty twenty six class doesn't seem the strongest.
So I do think that the first overall pick in
the class is going to be similar to genty last year,
where it's like you're just taking the running back first overall,
regardless of format, and he looks like he's going to
(58:54):
be a stud right away. Obviously that isn't totally paned
out with genty due to the Raiders offensive line, but
that's how how I'm kind of early viewing Jeremiah Love.
If it's not the first overall pick, I'd be very
There are players that are like that will pop between
now and the draft, but I think it moving two
of those picks for a guy who is as true
of a stud as Jefferson.
Speaker 1 (59:12):
I do like fits.
Speaker 3 (59:14):
Yeah, and they're a handful of wide receivers who are
attractive in this class. So Mackay Lemon and Casey Concepcion
are a couple of my favorites. I think it's a
fair deal, and Jefferson, if we have a warm body
at quarterback, is a cornerstone in dynasty. Addison also a
(59:36):
really good dynasty piece. But I think the gap between
Addison and Jefferson is probably pretty well represented by two
two twenty twenty six first and kind of a weak class.
Speaker 4 (59:48):
So I'm totally on board with this deal.
Speaker 3 (59:51):
Generally just trading multiple sort of mystery box assets for
a guy like Jefferson. Addison's better than a mister box asset.
But you know what I mean, they fix our mystery
box assets.
Speaker 4 (01:00:05):
So yeah, I like this deal.
Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
Quick question here from Bunting. He heard on another podcast
Dynasty should not have a trade deadline until the playoffs start.
Bunting disagrees. He hates the arms race that causes. Part
of Dynasty is whether you go in or out for
the year, not waiting to the last possible second to
bail on your team.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Curious what you think.
Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
I am actually with Bunting on this, but I have
some friends who you know, are our very reputable voices
in the you know, Dynasty space.
Speaker 4 (01:00:37):
Get Jack's Falcone. Shane Shane says, like.
Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
Those guys, they agree that there should be no trade deadline.
But I tend to be with Bunting here on this.
What do you think, worm?
Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
Yeah, I like the idea. The problem is it's like
you have a couple of fluky weeks. If you don't
have a league with median scoring or something like that,
where you have a really high scoring day but you
happen to lose all of a sudden, It's like like
it gets early, it gets late early, is the way
I would put it in a fantasy football league, just
because there's not that many weeks before you kind of
have to make your decision if you have an earlier
(01:01:15):
trade deadline. So I am generally on the side of
liking the opportunity to gather more information. But I am
in leagues where where the deadline is not to the playoffs,
and it is really annoying that you get there and
then it's just this like fire sale free for all
with everybody trying to sneak in like a like it
really almost reshapes the league every year that last week
(01:01:35):
before you get there, and I don't like that. The
the problem with this for me is that my single
biggest frustration in dynasty is dealing with managers who don't
have a good self evaluation of their team. It's like,
your team is clearly not a contender, and yet they're
unwilling to trade like a Derrick Henry this year or
like the opposite, like, hey man, you're clearly a contender.
(01:01:55):
Let me give you, give me a lot for Christian McCaffrey.
You can win the league this year, and I don't
need them because I'm in total rebuild.
Speaker 1 (01:02:01):
Mode and they're like, nah, you know, I think I
might not win at all.
Speaker 2 (01:02:05):
Like teams that cannot self evaluate drives me nuts because
I'm like, I want to trade with you, but you're not.
You're not viewing yourself in the right lens. So giving
more time for them to view themselves in the right lens.
I get the appeal of but I think generally I
would lean towards I don't like reshaping the league the
last week of the regular season every year, and I
would lean more towards you guys.
Speaker 3 (01:02:26):
Yeah. I mean it's tough because everyone wants to win
a championship and I don't especially want to have to
make five trades in Week sixteen, Week seventeen to win
a championship.
Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
Yeah, I think that's fair.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Let's see, would be fair trade to sell Jalen Warren
and Chris Wadden for a twenty twenty Chris Godwin, excuse
me for a twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
First, I would definitely prefer the first.
Speaker 4 (01:02:48):
Personally, yes, same.
Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
Let's see yeah, swift leagues, Manungai could be a beast.
Totally agree.
Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
I would love Manonga in that situation. Not sure if
this has been asked yet, but is this the worst
it gets for Lamar?
Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
I think so.
Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
Dude in the last month and a half has said hamsterring, knee, ankle,
and toe injuries.
Speaker 1 (01:03:03):
He's a guy who re lies mobility.
Speaker 2 (01:03:05):
Sixty percent of that offensive line is really bad this
year and he's the least mobile he's been due to
the injuries. So I think Lamar is still pretty fast,
but he has no deceleration. He can't evade guys as
easily as he as he could. That coupled with a
bad offensive line, and also, by the way, it's likely
does it fumble at the goal line and Zay Flowers
(01:03:25):
doesn't get called for that bogus OPI Against the Bengals,
Lamar has over three hundred yards and multiple touchdowns. Like
he wasn't that far off from a really big day
this week. I know it's been really bad, but like
we have, we have seven and a half years of,
you know, evidence that Lamar is a. You can argue
the playoffs all you want, but that it's a regular
season fantasy stud I'm not gonna let a tough month
(01:03:46):
change that. I think this is as bad as he gets,
and I think it does turn around. I don't know
if it turns around this year totally because I'm pretty
worried about the health, but it will like this is
not the new Lamar in my opinion, A great, A
great looks like that.
Speaker 1 (01:03:58):
Was about Yeah, but to talk about Flowers any more?
Tired of it.
Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
I've said on pretty much every show all season how
much I hate Flowers. He does not get touchdowns. We
went along for everybody, so we'll go ahead and wrap
things up there. Thanks everybody for tuning in to the
trade block. Thanks everybody who opt up and asked the question,
whether in the chat or on stage fourfeits.
Speaker 1 (01:04:15):
I'm Ryan Warmley.
