Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome back. Everybody's the Fantasy Pros Dynasty Fantasy Football Podcast.
I'm your host, Scott Bogman. Follow me on the Twitter
at bogmin Sports. I'm joined as always by Pat Fitzmorris
at fits Underscore ff on the Twitter Machine. And today
you are listening to Dynasty Double Coverage, where we jump
into the Fantasy Pro's discord, go to the Dynasty Live
(00:23):
chat channel and join with some of our friends and
get their questions on Dynasty today. FITZI, it's the middle
of the summer. I hate this time because all we
get to hear about is holdouts and inappropriate behavior. There's
not a lot going on. Maybe some extensions every once
in a while. I think Garrett Wilson got extended yesterday
(00:45):
as we're recording this, so there's a little bit going on.
But this is the lull. I hate the lull before
the storm. Let's get involved here, let's go right FITZI.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yeah, I know it's coming, Bogs. We got a number
of teams have their rookies in camp. It's just before
the veterans join them, so we're we're gonna get actual
camp news and more meaningful stuff pretty soon.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
But I hear you. It's you know, Arry McLaurin.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Being unhappy Quinnchawn Judkins getting into trouble guys signing extensions.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Do you see it?
Speaker 2 (01:17):
And I know this is not a fantasy guy unless
you are in an IDP league, but did you see
this thing with Shamar Stewart, the Bengals rookie first round
edge rusher, is now like he's been practicing with Texas
A and M yeah, and like says he like, might
just go back and play college ball this year and
(01:39):
enter the twenty twenty six draft.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
I don't know if he can. I know there's yeah right,
like he's legal leads in there. But it used to
like the big signifier used to be, you know, you
sign with an agent, but now you kind of need
an agent to work your nil deals. So I don't know,
I don't know if there is a rule or not,
but yeah, I mean, the Bengals are stupid. I know
(02:04):
that this is ridiculous, Like they're trying to make this
the standard. And by the way, the Texans are doing
the opposite. They're doubling down. And Jayden Higgins was like
the first second round pick to ever get a fully
guaranteed deal, and now other second rounders like Trey Harris
are holding out and all of this stuff. So it's
like you have both sides of the market trying to
(02:24):
screw it up right now. So see, these are the
stories I hate. Let's talk some football, not this stuff, right,
I know I don't like this stuff, but yeah, I mean,
it's the summer, it's the lull. But hopefully you guys
are staying active. And by the way, speaking of being
active every single Tuesday, now this is no longer the
third Tuesday of the month. Up until the season starts,
(02:47):
you were getting this show every single Tuesday moving forward,
so a lot to look forward to. Should we get
to some questions here, FITZI dive in.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Let's get right to it all right.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Oria has been here waiting with me for a while.
So Oria, what is going on? My friend? How are
you doing?
Speaker 4 (03:05):
I'm doing good?
Speaker 3 (03:06):
How are you guys?
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Great? What do you got for us?
Speaker 5 (03:09):
All?
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Right?
Speaker 4 (03:10):
So I made a pretty big trade recently. I felt
pretty good about until I started really thinking about it.
Speaker 6 (03:15):
I'm in the.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
Twelve team super Flex half point tight End Premium League
Start eight. Kind of the kicker is we don't have
a tight end in our starting lineup. And I'm just
curious what your guys' opinion is on tight end value
with that situation where we're not required to play a
tight end, but we still have a half point tight
end premium.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Hmmm, that's really interesting. So start eight.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
That means you start two quarterbacks, two running backs, three receivers,
and a flex.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Two running backs, two receivers, three flex. One of those
flex is super FLEXA gotcha?
Speaker 3 (03:55):
Gotcha?
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Okay, okay, yeah, I mean look, I would say it
makes starting these guys. I mean I like it like
that honestly because you don't have to start a tight
end if you don't have one of the premium ones.
And it also kind of gives you more flex options.
So I kind of like the format where this is
(04:17):
super flex. You're not required to start a tight end,
but they do get more points, so it kind of
gives you more options in your flex spot. But I
will still say, I don't know if it's see how
many how many starting tight ends in a non tight
end required league are you playing even if it's tight
end premium? Maybe ten?
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Yeah, that sounds about right.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
I mean it certainly helps for the hop end guys
like Powers and McBride and Kittle, you know, I mean,
I would imagine you would probably try to work in
guys like Tucker craft well obviously Laporta, Tucker Craft craft.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Ingram, maybe in Yoku if he's still good, yeah, boosed
up like kincaid Ertz, I mean, maybe pits. So you're
getting you're getting to like fifteen ish somewhere in that neighborhood.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Right, But there's just, you know, there's not a lot
of value to starting a Hunter Henry in a league
like that. I don't think Henry is ever gonna, you know,
become a more attractive lineup option than probably your fourth
fifth receiver.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
It's interesting because it makes your decision like do you
want Kean Coleman who relies on the big play or
do you want a guy like Hunter Henry to start?
So uh interesting, So I think how many I guess
how many viable starting tight ends are in a league
like that where you're not required to start, but they
(05:48):
get extra points? Finci If you had to cap it
at a number, would it be twelve? Like for me,
I think I would go through my top twelve in
Djoku's probably in not thirteen. Would you for sure put Ertz, Pits,
Kinkaid in Over maybe like the lower end of wide
(06:09):
receiver three and four, Like, would you consider those guys
with like a Coleman, a Mooney little Shakir guys like that.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Yeah, I'm like, I'm probably still starting Shakir over guys
like Kinkaid, Odderts, Pits.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
So yeah, I mean it's maybe only about a dozen.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Yeah, I like it. It's interesting.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
It is an interesting wrinkle. What was what was the trade?
Speaker 4 (06:41):
So I gave up my one twenty six first Garrett
Wilson and Tony Pollard for brock.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Bauers, and I felt really good about it at first.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
He's young, I got the tight end premium, and I'm like, okay,
I'm looking at your guys's trade value chart and it
kind of makes sense. But I just don't know how
not being forced to play them and basically reducing them
down to the flex positions would affect the value. And
if if I've got too overly excited about it, I.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Guess, well, how much more did did Bauer score than
Wilson last year? Like per game?
Speaker 4 (07:17):
I didn't see points wise, but I know they were
off by they have one target difference, and that was
with DeVante Adams, you know, absorbing a lot of those
targets on the second half of the season.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
So yeah, so you might have overpaid here because the
you know, not having to to start a tight end
kind of makes Wilson and Bowers more even and you
gave the kickers on top. So maybe it's an overpaid
but I don't think it's like such an absurd overpay
that you should be really kicking yourself. So I think
(07:50):
you still did okay. So what do you think, FITZI
am I being too lenient?
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah, I mean I no, I think it's okay. You know,
like I don't think I don't think he screwed up.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
I don't know. I mean I.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Don't think all that much about Tony Pollard's kynasty value
quite honestly. Like I wouldn't be surprised if he seeded
some ground at tij Spears in that backfield this year.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
And you know, like.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Wilson, I still think his upside is pretty limited with
his current situation.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Like, I love the player, but.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
Boy, the last time we saw Justin Fields as a starter,
he average about twenty passes a game. Yeah, kind of
that way, and he also Justin fields, either runs or
gets sacked on a large percentage of his dropbacks, almost
twenty percent, and that reduces passing volume, and that reduces
the fantasy value of his pass catchers. So I know
(08:45):
Garrett Wilson is gonna have a big slice of the pie.
He could see a thirty percent target share, But I
still wonder if he has like real high end upside.
I don't think he's touching guys like Leak neighbors. I'm
and Ross Saint Brown, Brian tom Miss Junior, Drake London like.
I think he's on a clear level below those guys. Okay,
So I don't hate it at all. I mean Bowers
(09:06):
is in a tight end premium. It's just so so valuable.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
I agree. Yeah, so maybe an overpay. But also see
this is a bad time a year for you too,
or I think you're overthinking it a little bit here.
So it's uh, you know, we're it's our sit in
tinker time. That's what it is right now. So we
all get in our own heads a little bit too much.
But good trait. You got anything else for us?
Speaker 7 (09:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:32):
That was it, And I appreciate you guys with input.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
Of course, man appreciate you batmam. Good stuff. Let's see
who's up next here. Actually, let me tell you guys
about Reality Sports Online Fantasy front Office. Now By now
most of you probably heard Reality Sports Online, the powerful
fantasy sports platform where owners get to build and manage
(09:54):
their fantasy team like an NFL general manager. But the
question is, have you tried it? It's time he goes

about free agency, multi year contracts, a rookie draft, multi
team trades, franchise tags, contract extensions, first round rookie options,
automated contract and salary cap functionality, and much much more.
If you think it sounds complicated, it's not the best
(10:15):
thing about Reality Sports Online Fantasy front Office that it
doesn't take any more time than a standard league. It
just requires more strategy. If you think you're among the
fantasy elite, this is the platform to test your metal.

sportsonline dot com. All right, who's up next? We've got
it looks like Axel, what's up? Axel? How you doing?
Speaker 7 (10:57):
Hey, Bob doing you well? How about yourself?
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Good man? What do you got for us?
Speaker 7 (11:03):
Yeah? So I drafted Matthew Golden over Higgins, Burden, Harris.
Did I make a mistake?
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Oh? You came to the right place for this, FITZI,
let's let's go that to you. Did Axel make a
mistake by taking Golden over guys like Higgins and Burden?
Speaker 2 (11:26):
No, not a mistake, you know, personal opinion. I have
Burden ranked one spot higher than Matthew Golden. I have
Golden still ranked ahead of Higgins. And who was the
other guy, Trey Harris?
Speaker 7 (11:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (11:38):
I think.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
So, I have wondered about Golden's value just because like
his college production profile not not great, Like it was
basically half a year of production while Isaiah Bond was out.
But man, he did have some amazing games against top competition,
like amazing game against Georgia and all the noted draft
(12:09):
analysts loved him and had him ranked as a top
fifteen overall prospect in this class Daniel Jeremiah mel kiper
junior Dame Brugler. So there was a real sort of
film versus analytics divide with him, and like the suboptimal
analytical profile worries me a little bit.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
But I do not think you screwed up Axel like.
We'll see.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
I mean, I think he could very well prove to
be better than all of those guys, and who knows,
maybe even maybe he's more valuable than Travis Hunter if
Hunter winds up playing a lot of cornerback in his career.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
We'll see, though, I just I don't know.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
But the one positive to take away from it is
that the Packers were sort of on the same page
general manager Brian Goode Conston head coach Matt Lafleur about
like that being someone they needed.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
For their offense.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
And I do really trust Matt Lafleur as an offensive
designer and play caller. And if he decided a big
shot of Matthew Golden's speed is what this offense needed,
I gotta figure he's going to find ways to use him.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Yeah, And that's I mean, I always have Fits answer
this question first, because number one, I think it's funny
to listen to him dance around hating Golden in front
of me. But also number two is that I'm I
am a little biased towards my Texas guys in Matthew Golden,
but I do see like Fits, you mentioned the massive
(13:41):
range of outcomes for Golden, right, because he's not this
proven college player that comes in pretty well refined. You know,
he's not coming in like Molik Neighbors, like a dude
ready for one hundred and fifty targets. He's not that guy.
But and you know, he's also limited by the fact
that the Packers are always going to be run first
team under the floor, right, Like they're just going to
(14:02):
have a top ten rushing offense in the league every
single year as long as Josh Shacops is healthy, and
you know, the run game is functional. So I think
the big thing here with Golden is that he has
a big range of outcomes. He could easily be the
number one Romeo Dobbs was an injury prone and a
cry baby. Jayden Reid's snap count in like six of
(14:23):
the last nine games was below sixty percent, so they
kept playing musical chairs. Maybe they just go out in
the first round and go, all right, this is our guy.
We're done scoring around with it. This is going to
be our dude. But he also could be like, hey,
he's not that great at blockers, We're going to take
him off the field here. He's going to have a
weird snap count as well. So there's a lot of
(14:45):
range of outcomes when it comes to Matthew Golden. But
by no means did you make a mistake taking him
over that group of players here, Axel, Because he's in
that group, I would say, you know, could he be
at the top of it or the bottom of it? Sure,
but he's definitely with in that group, so I think
he did fine.
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Yeah, I'll even push back on one Bogs, like, I
don't think matt Lafleur is necessarily this huge running game disciple.
But they became that way after Jordan Love got hurt
early in the season and.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Then Love sort of tweaked his growing at.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
One point, like a mid season and they just kind
of stuck with the run heavy ethos.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
But he really wasn't that way when Aaron Rodgers was around.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
But I think I kind of think he pushed Rogers
out because he wanted to run the ball morey.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Maybe I'm but you know, yeah, I mean I think
in a normal year, like his passing rate over expected
would probably be you know, negative two were three percent. Like,
I don't think he's you know, crazy, run heavy, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
I got you. What else do you have for us? Actual?
Anything else?
Speaker 7 (15:51):
Yeah? So this is might not be necessarily dynasty, but
obviously it our relates. I've been I find myself taking
Bucky Herban in Irving over Jonathan Taylor and Cuba Harvard
over Kenneth Walker and every type of draft I'm I'm
in am I am I wrong? Once again?
Speaker 1 (16:12):
What do you think they're FITSI Bucky over JT? You
know I'm a JT Stan I'm I'm I love Jonathan Taylor.
Uh So it's not something that I would do, but
I understand. You know, Jonathan Taylor's had injury issues. There's
big questions at quarterback for the Colts. So in the
(16:33):
same thing for Cuba over Walker's also not something I
would do. But Walker has had injury plague seasons and
he has a really good guy behind him and Zach Sharboney.
So like, I understand the thought process behind both of them.
I don't think either one of them are crazy. Although
I would take JT over Bucky and I would take
ken Walker over Chuba. What's your what are your thoughts
(16:53):
on that one, FITZI.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
I would personally take Bucky over JT.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
And this is coming from a guy who went to
the University of Wisconsin and loves JT. But Bucky was
just awesome last year and seeing was kind of believing
for me. Not only seeing and how elusive this guy
is and just the way he strings together moves and
breaks ankles, but like the fact that he totally shoved
orshad White out of the way in games where they
(17:21):
gave him more than a fifty percent snapshare, which was like,
I know, six or seven games basically down the stretch,
he averaged like one hundred and twenty seven yards from
scrimmage a game, Like when he finally got the bigger workloads.
He was just crushing it late in the year, and
I think he had like it was like seven games
(17:41):
and he had six touchdowns in those seven games. He
led the league in yards, led all running backs qualifying
running backs guys who had more than like seventy five
carries or whatever in yards after contact per carry.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
He was just really good in all the advanced metrics.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
He looked great. They kept giving him a bigger role
as the season went on, So I do like him
a lot, and I worry about these chronic ankle injuries
that Taylor seems to have her at least it looks
like they're chronic now.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
But I do like Walker a little more than Cuba.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
But still, man, I like a lot of people are
worried about Rico Dowdell maybe stealing work from Cuba. I mean,
they just signed Chewba to a huge contract extension and
they gave Doubtell pretty much like this minimal, one year,
like three million dollar deal. So yeah, I think they
money talks and Hubbard.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Is their guy, right. I like, Rico's got a chance to, like,
you know, prove himself, but Cuba already has, you know,
And I think that I don't hate I don't hate
the thought process there. Well you know, let's not ignore Rico.
But I also think, like you said, you follow the
money and you can ignore Rico. It is interesting that
(18:54):
they just they want someone behind Cuba because they also
added Trevor et and they just want to get better
at that position. I feel like behind him because it
really had nothing behind him last year. So actually it
seems to me that you just have you were just
injury averse. You don't want to mess with the guys
like Jonathan Taylor, like Ken Walker that have an injury history.
(19:17):
And that's a fine opinion and strategy to have. And
you know, I apply that a lot in baseball. I
feel like in football I do it a little bit
less because just everybody gets hurt. But it's pretty clear
that those two guys are injury prone players. And I
feel like that's probably more of what you're looking at, right,
(19:39):
isn't that kind of your thought process on that?
Speaker 7 (19:41):
Yeah, I feel like JT has my attitude at work.
When I get in trouble, I always say, and do
you think I care about my track record? Checking my
track record?
Speaker 8 (19:49):
Right?
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Right?
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Right? Like that?
Speaker 1 (19:54):
But yeah, I mean I think that's a fine I
think it's a fine strategy to employ. Is that, Hey, look,
you know it makes your decision making easier. It may
it helps you move guys to the bottom of a tier,
and you just kind of go, look, I'm not gonna
have these problems. You know, Uh, these guys are gonna
have problems. I'm gonna laugh at you when JT rolls
(20:14):
his ink on week three and misses three weeks and
then doesn't look the same. I'm gonna be the guy
not holding the bag. So I I do understand that outlook.
I just you know, JT's really good when he's out there,
so I have a hard time passing him up. So
anything else, yeah, I got.
Speaker 7 (20:31):
I mean, I'm like Captain America.
Speaker 9 (20:32):
I can go.
Speaker 7 (20:33):
I could do this all day, but I we'll get
one more from you. So so yeah, I just I
won my my Dynasty League last year, so nobody wants
to trade with me. So I have my starting running
bags are A Chain and TYROLN Tracy, My starting wide
receivers are Jefferson, Mike Evans, DeVante Adams, and my starting
(21:02):
tight ends are Kittle, McBride and Craft. So basically, how
would do you guys go about trying to turn some
of those players into a running back? Because I feel
like if Ahing goes down, I'm in trouble.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
I think he'll average my guy that I'm off out there, right's.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
I mean he is, and I mean Kittle's older, but
like you also got a young guy behind him in Craft,
and we know that McBride is going to have more
dynasty value. Like, if you want Kittle because he's older,
I don't know if anyone's giving you like a starting
caliber running back in return for Kittle. I think you
(21:43):
could get one for McBride kind of our dynasty trade
value chart, Like McBride is this tight end premium or
just regular tight end?
Speaker 7 (21:52):
Just regular tight end? But I do start both of
my tight ends every.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Week, Okay, gotcha?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
Like we have McBride's value on par with running backs
like Resolve, Jonathan Taylor, Ucky, Irving, Cravey On Henderson.
Speaker 3 (22:10):
So like.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
You should be able to get a pretty good running
back if you if you are willing to part with
McBride and leverage the tight end depth you have on
the roster.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
And I know it would be tough to part with him.
Speaker 2 (22:23):
A young guy who, like you know how many tight
ends are capable of giving you one hundred catch seasons,
But you know that would definitely be a nice piece
of bait to put on the hook and catch yourself
a big fish at running back.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
Agree, Yeah, I think just the depth that you have
at tight end affords you different ways to work through
the tight end position. So that's how I would approach
it as well, Axel. So that, uh, that is how
we do it. Appreciate you, my friend. I'm gonna move
you to the audience of course. Man. And let's see.
Before I get to the next question, let me just
(23:02):

Speaker 7 (23:48):
What's up?
Speaker 9 (23:48):
Guys?
Speaker 8 (23:48):
How's it going good?
Speaker 1 (23:49):
How are you?
Speaker 9 (23:50):
I'm doing well? So I just dropped my team in
the chat and had two questions for today that kind
of related to each other.
Speaker 5 (24:02):
Cool.
Speaker 9 (24:02):
So first question would be, what do you guys think
is a fair return for Justin Fields. I'm kind of
looking to sell right now, but the only real offer
I've gotten is selling Fields in Abuca for a twenty
twenty six like late first plus Josh downs and some
minor throw ins. But I don't love the idea of
(24:23):
giving up at BUKA, So would it be better to
just wait until in season or Yeah, I'm just curious
your thoughts on fields value.
Speaker 1 (24:30):
That's a good one, Fitzie. What are your thoughts? Because
I have Fields in a super flex. I've got him,
you know, just behind Trey McBride, ahead of Bucky and
kyn and Addison and guys like that. So I think
I feel like you should be getting way more than
that in a super flex, even in a ten man
(24:51):
for Justin Fields.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah, I mean we've got him. I mean we've got
his value being on par with some of these rookie
wide receivers like Matthew Golden, Luther Burden. So the thing is,
in season, i think he's going to be probably more
seen as more valuable because his running is going to
(25:15):
make him give him low end quarterback one value. But
the thing is, I mean he has been such a
sack magnet and turnover machine that like his I don't
know what his life expectancy is as an NFL starter.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
I'm not sure.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
He is very much teetering, and like I just I've
kind of given up on the idea that he is
going to be even an average NFL passer ever, Like
I just feel like it's not going to happen anymore.
You know, the rushing value is there, but I don't
know if that is a sustainable business model for an
(25:56):
NFL team to go forward with as a starting quarterback.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
So that's the problem.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
I think he's gonna have a lot of value, and
they're going to be how many teams in your.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Big twelves and teams.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
All right, So there's not quite a demand that you
would have in a twelve teamer, but there's still going
to be a demand, especially once the first quarterback injury
or two hit. So rather than take a kind of
a low ball offer like that, and quite frankly, like
Ibuka is the piece I wouldn't want to give up
in that deal.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
And bugs you know, I'm not the biggest Josh Dollins.
Speaker 5 (26:33):
Fan in the world.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
Yeah, so yeah, I would definitely politely decline that deal
and maybe wait for a little bit more.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Yeah, yeah, that's go ahead.
Speaker 9 (26:45):
So I was just gonna say, that's kind of what
I was thinking too, And yeah, i'd be selling it
to a contender. But yeah, it's weird to balance the
like upside I think he has with the rushing with
the like lack of future.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
So yeah, I mean, I mean, we'll see, because I
am I am with Fits in that it could definitely
turn out that way of where you know, Field starts
for a season and a half. Like, if he doesn't
look good this season, they draft somebody high and he's
out midway through next year, that could easily happen. But
if he looks good, he could just be there for
(27:21):
a while, you know, and running the ball a lot,
because that's clearly what they want to do with all
those backs. So he is teetering, but I think there's
I see some positive and I see in a ten
man league where in a super flex you know your
fits is right, it's not as desperate a QB situation
as it is in a twelve man, but there's still
(27:43):
a finite amount of that resource. So for me, I'd
wait until I'm getting a better offer, So anything else
for us.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
It's a nice He's got a nice young team to
build on, by the way, like definitely not a team
that's that's gonna, you know, take home.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
The hardware this year.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
But like a lot of running back it's gonna be
fine hard to find quality Week one starters for this season.
Like a couple of these guys are gonna pop. It's
got a bunch of young guys like tij Spears, Broshawn
Jalen Wright, DJ Giddens, Brishard Smith, Travis Etn while Travis
tn Is, you know, he could he could pop this year.
(28:19):
But like good young receivers, it's it's a lot of
promising youth on this roster. And like I think, hopefully
your ETA is twenty twenty six, if not twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 9 (28:32):
Yeah, that's where my head is at. And that's a
perfect segue into my next question, which is just a
little more macro level. But what do you guys think
is the right time to buy running back as a rebuilder,
Because I'm going into year two and didn't really have
a shot at the guys in this year's class, which
was unfortunate. But I feel decent about the rest of
(28:54):
my team and have a good amount of draft capital,
So I'm not sure how aggressively I should be looking
to move to fill in that hole running back or yeah,
just when the right time.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Usually would be hyper aggressive. I think right now, once
you get to the point to where you look at
your team and you go all right, I'm just running
backs away, that's when you push the chips in, right, FITZI.
Is when you have the other positions lined up, plus
you have lots of draft capital, that's the perfect time
to push these chips in and go after a really
(29:26):
good running back.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Yeah, nothing to add. I think that's the right answer.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Perfect, There you go, all right, CFE. I appreciate you, man.
This is always good questions from you. And I like
this league as well, and I like how clean this is.
This looks a lot like the sheets I send you.
FITZI that he has.
Speaker 3 (29:47):
His team off so it is easier than the vertical list.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
Yes, yes, very organized, very organized, CFC, I love it.
Who is up next year? We got Hank? What's up? Hank?
How we do with my friend. You got it?
Speaker 5 (30:04):
Can you hear me? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (30:06):
We get it? What's up here?
Speaker 5 (30:10):
Hey, I just dropped my team into the chat. So
I'm going into the second year of a twelve team.
It's a super flex PPR Titan Premium with one point
seventy five for tight ends and you start eleven, so
you're running backs, three wide receivers, three flexes, really deep
(30:30):
benches and taxi squads and whatnot.
Speaker 6 (30:33):
So I I when I'm looking kind of at the
Fanusy prodes ranking like my playbook, you know, I'm basically
aligned as the top team from a dynasty perspective, but
maybe like five or six from a this year perspective.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
I'm trying to figure out what to do because, as
you mentioned, it's tinkering time, and I got I got
caught up tinkering last year. Like I had a really
hot start to the season, and I made a trade
where I traded away Ricky Pearsall did.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
We lose you and my dad with all.
Speaker 5 (31:07):
The other wide receivers there and whatnot, and I traded
them for Ferguson and that's looking to be a bad trade.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
So I'm not trying to get.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
To Sorry, Hank, Hey, I think my internet dipped for
a second, so I missed a little bit of that.
Can you just repeat the trade and stuff like the info?
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Oh sorry?
Speaker 5 (31:27):
I traded Pearsall for Ferguson last year, and that was
right after Ferguson got off to like a really hot
start and Piersoll had gotten shot and it's still looked
like I U and Debo were going to be there.
Speaker 3 (31:37):
So and then you know, lo and behold.
Speaker 5 (31:41):
I didn't win last year, and at this time this year,
I would much prefer to have Piersal and Ferguson probably. Yeah.
So so I'm trying to can you see my team
or you guys see difficulties?
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (31:58):
Cool?
Speaker 5 (31:58):
So I like I feel like I have some pretty
good depth. Like in the startup Draft last year, I
traded back a lot and so I was able to
pick up depth, especially since we have to start so
many players. And then I just took a bunch of
shots on some late running backs. And I'm trying to
make some trades. But all the people that I kind
of want to trade, and everyone's really young. Everyone that
(32:19):
I want to trade, I'm just not getting any good
value for. And all the people that bit's hates, like,
so I got Tony Pollard, I got Jared Goff, James
Cook all from the value that I'm getting from them,
I feel like they're just way more valuable to my
team than trading away. Like I was looking at a
(32:41):
multiple trade, a trade offer for multiple players where Jared
Goff and CJ. Stroud were involved, and I the difference
in value just doesn't make sense to me when CJ.
Stroud what we hope that he is is Jared Goff,
and Jared Goff can just be what he is for
(33:03):
the next three years. So I'm feeling as though I
should just hold water. I have the one O four,
the two to one to two O four and draft
this year and instead of trying to trade and go
for it. But I guess want to get your thoughts
there or if you think I have enough depth right
now to really put my chips in this year.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
It's a good question of, like, you know, I have
all these offers out, but I don't like any of them.
And I think a lot of what is dealing with
trade specifically this time of year, Fitzy is just kind
of wading through the nonsense right Sometimes in a league
that's very active where you know you can. You can
(33:48):
send out multiple offers and get accepts and rejects all
the time. I feel like fifty percent of the work
is just kind of shuffling through the bad offers, right, FITZI, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
It is definitely. Heck, where do you pick in the
rookie draft?
Speaker 5 (34:02):
So I so are we do if you don't make
the playoffs? The draft order is max points four. So
I actually purposely didn't go. I knew I wasn't gonna
do well and it was a good thing that did that.
So I purposely tanked the last week to not make
the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
So I'm one oh.
Speaker 5 (34:17):
Four and then I traded, uh and I have the
two O one. So I have one O four two
one two four three h four. The only pick I
don't have is my four oh four.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Gotcha?
Speaker 3 (34:30):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (34:31):
I mean I think I think you the depth is
going to look better on this team once you go
through the rookie draft and like those first three players,
adding that to your bench, you know, it's nice.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
I think you're in a pretty good spot at.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Quarterback, and I kind of agree with your assessment in
a lot of ways. Of golf versus Stroud especially, I
don't think we're going to see a big bounce back
in Stroud's value until they fix that offensive line, which
still looks like one of the worst in the league,
if not the worst. Man some really nice pieces to
build on here, obviously, with neighbors Garrett Wilson, Bucky, the
(35:08):
two young quarterbacks, Love and McCarthy.
Speaker 5 (35:13):
You know, but like, is it too early do you
think to be trying to consolidate, Like, I don't think
I quite have enough depth right now to consolidate.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
I do, I do.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Yeah, I'm not sure you're deep enough to like consolidate
and try to like really boost you take a couple of.
Speaker 5 (35:29):
These running backs, like right or Brandon Allen, Yes, yeah,
kick off. I mean Brooks Jonathan Brooks was a pretty
big hit to him, you know, hit to the roster.
I drafted him, I think in like the sixth round
or something, so that was a pretty big loss.
Speaker 3 (35:43):
Yeah, I mean it's a it's a good roster.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
But I'm guessing they're probably like a couple teams in
your league that are pretty stacked and.
Speaker 3 (35:51):
Like it would be hard.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
To measure up to, Like this team is definitely on
the come up, and I think you're you're getting close,
but I don't think it's time to consuli quite yet
to try to, you know, give that extra power boost
to the starting lineup.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
It's also tougher date in a league like this where
you have this many starters, right what, you have a
ton of starters, it's harder to consolidate because you know,
I guess it should be easier in some respects, but
before a lot, it's just it's harder, especially in actively
that trades a bunch as well, because people know trade
(36:27):
value a little bit better when so many are being
done every day.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
And I just know how any of the running backs
get hurt last year, So you know, between Brainle and
Alan Jalen, Kenneth Gamewell, algieer Keaton Mitchell, like I had
so many shots that just didn't pan.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
Out the one time the running backs. So we know
all the running backs that are going to be healthy
this year, it's whoever you have the backup for, That's
what you're saying.
Speaker 5 (36:52):
Yeah, So on that note, though, we gotta we expand
our rosters before to bridge to the rookie draft, just
so people if they have people that were on injured
reserve at the end of the year were able to
kind of hold through. So I'm gonna have to drop
some people, and I'm gonna get rid of Juju, I'm
getting rid of Machi uh and but I'm thinking and
(37:16):
then I'm geet rid of Kenneth Gainwell. But for the
fourth person I was gonna drop, I was gonna drop
Jalen Naylor. But I'm kind of with with the Addison
news if he's out three or four weeks. When Justin
Jefferson went out last year, I actually started. I was
starting Jalen Aaylor. He was averaging like ten or eleven
points a game. Do you do we think I forget
(37:37):
the rookie out of Maryland who was just drafted, but
do we think and Hawkinson wasn't there at the beginning
of the year, so maybe that was part of it.
But like, do you think that might be good to
hold Naylor and just see if he can hold through
a couple of those weeks, or and then I dropped
someone like a hand In Hooker or.
Speaker 10 (37:56):
Or what are your thoughts?
Speaker 1 (37:58):
Yeah, I think I would drop Burton. I don't think
he's gonna be doing much of it.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
Yeah, Jermaine Burton, Yeah, I saw like one little news
article came out about it. But yeah, it's all right.
If I could just drop.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
Him, Yeah yeah, it wouldn't be the Burton and Naylor
for me, okay.
Speaker 5 (38:13):
And then the last question I have is just around
my tight ends. I I the off season was not
kind to me. So at the very end of last year,
I had Rico Daddle and Russell Wilson. I traded those
for THEO Johnson and QJ. And I don't know THEO
Johnson was playing okay, but like, I don't think I
can rely on him at all. I think Ferguson with
(38:35):
the had a much better outlook. But with Pickens being
traded there, I'm a little bit worried. And then you know,
I Tyler Higbee might give me the beginning of this
season if Terrence for you know, before Terrence Ferguson pops off,
but they also just got Davante Adams so and then
Friar Muth just got John Hu So I kind of
(38:56):
feel on his sorts with my tight end room. But
I don't know, I want to be forced in this
rookie draft to like, you know, pick pick someone early
in reach. So I'm thinking I'm just gonna play what
comes to me, and whether that's one of the first
guys like Loveland or Warren, and it's at a good value,
I'll take one of them. But if not, I'll wait
and take someone like an Aroo Arroyo or like a
(39:18):
Terrence Ferguson or a fan In or whatnot. But if
the problem is I just can't, I don't think there's
much value in bundling any of these guys right now
and selling like they don't really have much value, so
do I just have to stick with them.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
And I wouldn't be totally opposed to like cutting Higbee
instead of nailor if you wanted, But it depends. The
thing is, you are kind of in the tight end
sweet spot with that two on one. Yes, yeah, that's
likely either one of the two tight ends or Luther
Burden there.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Yeah, yeah, you are. You laid it out perfectly, Hank.
I mean, because if you can get Love Learn and
Warren there, great. If not, that means somebody pretty good
fell to you at that spot and you can wait
and take a Royal or somebody else. So yeah, I
think you're in it. You're in at least a good
spot for this draft with the tight end, even though,
like you said, feels like all your tight ends got
(40:14):
the short end of the stick this offseason here, that's
kind of brutal.
Speaker 5 (40:17):
I was actually thinking Higbee might be the number two option, honestly,
just he had a pretty strong end of the year,
and Ferguson might be a long term thing. But I
have a feeling he's not going to be up to
be from day one. And yeah, Davante is there sucking
up some targets, but I was thinking that that might
actually be who I tried to Ferguson Johnson.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
Personally, I don't think THEO Johnson.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Yeah, I mean, Higbee is worth keeping. I'd keep him
over Nailor.
Speaker 2 (40:44):
But I do still hope for THEO, just because he's
you know, hugely athletic and a lot of meat on
the bone.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
From the quarterback position.
Speaker 7 (40:52):
Figured out.
Speaker 5 (40:52):
Yeah, yeah, okay, cool, Well that's all I had.
Speaker 1 (40:59):

up next? FITZI? We have got uh Patty? What's up? Patty?
(41:42):
Pat I think Patty said this is the first time
you were able to make it live for the show.
Speaker 8 (41:47):
Right, Yeah, that's right. Phyllis, thanks so much for taking
my question. Really appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (41:52):
Cool, have you, man?
Speaker 1 (41:54):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (41:54):
Yeah, yeah. So I shared my team my roster about
about forty minutes go in the group chat, and I'm
in a ten team super Flex half PPR Start eleven league.
I won the ship last year, and I guess ultimately
my question is primarily what should I do, if anything,
with my roster. I have some concerns with some players.
(42:19):
I'm really strong in the wide receiver area, but I
do have concerns about a lave A Metcalf and even
to a lesser extent, because Stafford is going to be
I'm assuming going to be hanging them up fairly soon.
So I have concerns with Pooka as well. So am
(42:40):
I just basically looking to make a trade for the
sake of making a trade?
Speaker 6 (42:45):
Should I just kind.
Speaker 8 (42:46):
Of stay the course or you know, what are your guys'
thoughts on my roster? And then also there's a I
did share a pending trade offer from a league mate
as well.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
First of all, well, I was gonna say this roster
is so good that this is the one where you're
consolidating Patty. You know, it's it's harder to do, it's
tough to do, but that's exactly what you're doing here.
Because this is this roster is outstanding. It is no
surprise that you won the championship last year.
Speaker 8 (43:21):
I mean, appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
Yeah, of course, man, you've clearly worked hard on It's
Joe Burrow, Jacob's kyro and Connor btj Puka, lad Bowers, Hubbard, Moore, Perdy.
That's a killer starting lineup. And then got great guys
on the bench.
Speaker 2 (43:35):
Caleb, you know, June's a worthy sharbon A, Yeah, I
mean like.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
Worthy Metcalt and Saron and on the bench Crystal lave
is on the bench. This this is a strong, strong squad.
But uh, with that being said, I think it's fair
to have concerns about those players, right FITZI.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
Yeah, I mean, well, Patty is a very diligent dynasty manager.
It sounds like a not one to rest on his laurels.
But you can do a little resting on your laurels.
I think with this team, like, I don't think there
are any real areas you need to desperately address because
of just how powerful the starting lineup is. And then
when you can like turn to the bench and look
(44:18):
at guys like Chris o'lobby and DK Metcalf and Romo
Dunesane Xavier Worthy, not only is this team loaded and deep,
but like it's it's young too, So you are well
into the process of establishing a dynasty in your dynasty league.
Speaker 3 (44:34):
So yeah, just on this.
Speaker 2 (44:36):
Roster alone, I would say just sort of hold your
water and stay the course with this team.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
But now let me.
Speaker 2 (44:44):
Look at this trade offer, Oggs, what do we think
of this? You are calder express you would be receiving
ooh twenty twenty seven. First, that definitely has my attention.
Second or third next year and the thirty.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
All for Metcalf and Olave. So you're getting a first
and two years, the second and third next year, but
you're giving up two assets for this season in Metcalf
and Olave. FITSI this deal is fair, right, because, like
I think, I'd rather have that first than DK Metcalf.
(45:25):
But and this is the point that Fits makes all
the time, and I hear him speaking to me in
my head when I look at trades like this, it's
you have to wait to you get a donut for
two full years. That asset, you don't get anything from
it for two seasons. So what I rather in the
long rue probably have that first, the Metcalf, probably especially
(45:48):
when it gets to twenty twenty seven. But I'm getting
a donut the second and third for O Lave I
think is very fair. With his outlook, I think Olave
is worth more than that for sure, but with his
concussion history, you just don't know when. You don't know
when the last game is going to be for him.
So that's kind of how I break the trade down
(46:10):
in my brain. So I think it's fair. But I
think with your roster and the fact that you're pushing
your chips in I'm doing a trade to get to consolidate.
I'm not doing a trade that is better for my
roster overall two years from now. I want if I'm
gonna make a move like you said, because it's Tinker time,
(46:32):
I'm gonna make a move to improve now, not because
the trade is good for me overall. What are your
thoughts on that, FITZI.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
Yeah, I mean Patty's starting wide receivers are so good
with Brian Thomas, Puka Nikua, Lad McConkie, and right now
he's got DJ Moore in one of his flex spots.
He would still have Xavier Worthy in Romo Doonesa backing
those guys up, you know for one back up one
one flex possibility. But Hook has had some injury issues
(47:06):
in the past. Uh Ladd is not the biggest guy
in the world, and you know got banged around at
times last year and toughed it out through some minor things.
You know, injuries are always going to find you, and
you've got to assume like at least one of these
guys is probably going down at some point. So just
with how good this team is, even though I am,
(47:28):
as Bogs knows, wildly tempted by twenty twenty seven first rounders,
because I think that is going to be a class
that we're like building excitement for over the next year
and a half. I would sit tight, I think, and
continue to hold that wide receiver depth just in case.
Speaker 1 (47:46):
I'll say this if you can, if you can, you know,
flip that first, like if that's going to be more
valuable for you and you can go get a position
of need you know, whatever that would be for your team.
I don't know what that is is right now, but
you know, maybe an injury happens in camp or something
or whatever, like then maybe I'm more attempted to do this,
(48:09):
but that's you know, making this move to make another move,
and that gets a little too convoluted most of the time.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
Yeh.
Speaker 2 (48:16):
You just like guard against that nightmare scenario that derails
your repeat attempt. Like maybe it's it's week twelve, right
before the playoffs and Whoka is already nursing something and
then all of a sudden, like Ladd and DJ Moore
go down in a single week, and all of a sudden,
You're like, oh man, what is my wide receiver position
(48:36):
going to look like for the first playoff game? So yeah,
I think I'd hang on to the depth as tempting
as this offer is.
Speaker 8 (48:45):
Yeah, No, I really appreciate that, Fellas, And yeah, I
guess my biggest concern is, you know, O lobby and
netcap is this, are they super super low value right now?
And will they will go even lower and based on
you know, their current situations or do they have a
bounce bounce back season? So am I going short as well?
Speaker 7 (49:08):
So?
Speaker 8 (49:09):
But if it's yeah, I think it's one of those
scenarios where it is kind of a making a trade
just for the sake of making a trade. So maybe
I'll just hang tight. But I do have one more question,
and it's sort of regarding a rich is he just
hold tight? See where it's just fall and potentially a
(49:30):
drop candidate if it doesn't work out this year?
Speaker 2 (49:33):
I mean, so, yeah, go ahead, Fitzy, you have the
luxury of holding and would not surprise me if like
he still wound up being valuable. Yeah, Because we talked
to Matt Waldman on a podcast here Anthony Richardson was
coming out, and basically Waldman had talked to a guy,
(49:54):
a quarterbacks coach who had worked with Richardson and said
that Richardson is like not, he is a good processor actually,
and you know, like really good on the chalkboard stuff
and you know, like pretty good like looking off defenders
and some of the really advanced stuff, but just hadn't
played a lot of college games. And I think that
(50:16):
has shown in his early NFL early exposure to NFL defenses.
So maybe he'll turn the corner at some point. And
then you've got this guy who is.
Speaker 3 (50:29):
Just all sorts of yeah, all sorts of rushing potential.
Speaker 2 (50:34):
If he can just be a slightly below average NFL passer, like,
he will be a lethal weapon in fantasy. But so
I would wait it out, and because really right now
you would be selling for forty cents on the dollar,
and like, at that point, I would rather just have
(50:55):
my assets completely devalued to nothing than Trey cheap and
he blows up for someone else.
Speaker 8 (51:03):
Fair enough, That makes sense. Appreciate that, fellas.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
Of course, you bet, Patty, and we've we've installed you
as a minus three hundred favorite to repeat in your
dynasty leagues.
Speaker 8 (51:14):
Good lot, Thank you appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Or of course, Patty, thanks for coming on, my friend. Yeah,
that's uh, the thing with a rich to me is
just that, you know, and I've said it on the show,
it's if he starts seventeen games, he is a QB one.
I just don't see how it couldn't be right. So
I think that's just I think that's how Richardson is.
(51:39):
But he is again teetering. You can find a lot
of these guys that kind of have teetering futures justin
fields in there as well. But you know, I know that,
and we've said this before too, like I know that
everything right now points at Daniel Jones getting that job,
and if that's the case, that's the case. I kind
of like Daniel Jones as well. But I do think that,
you know, if Shane Steiken wants to keep this job,
(52:03):
him and Ballard, you know, they they are the to
the decided on Richardson, it's kind of one of those like, well,
let's have him come back from behind in camp because
he's starting out slow, Like it's all, it's all things
that would add up for his confidence getting a boost
if he was like to come back from behind to
beat Daniel Jones and win this starting job. Now, it's
(52:26):
just weird that you kind of have to do this
for an NFL Starter, Yeah it is, but whatever works, man.
So I think Richardson is so interesting in that you know,
he's just so boom or bust, but I think he's
so cheap right now that he's a risk worth taking
on to me, which makes it neither.
Speaker 2 (52:46):
You know, there are all sorts of ways this could
go bogs, and like I mean, I could see something
happening where he doesn't work out for the Colts this year,
the Colts give up on him, some team brings him
in as a backup. He's riding the bench at the
start to the twenty twenty six season. Starter gets hurt,
Richardson comes in and lights it up, and all of
a sudden, everyone is excited about Richardson again and thinking
(53:08):
like he's got this bright future.
Speaker 3 (53:10):
So he, like I.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Still has kind of a long runway in his career.
He is going to get chances with that skill set,
just the pure arm talent and the running ability and
the size, Like, he is going to get a lot
of chances. He is not going to be one of
these guys who if he fails this year, he's out
of the league. He is going to be at least
a backup somewhere for I would guarantee through twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 1 (53:35):
I mean we're still waiting on Trey Lance to get
a shot, right, I mean exactly like he's on a.
Speaker 3 (53:40):
Roster, right, he's on a roster Bogs Like, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (53:43):
People in super Flex are still putting him, you know,
they're still grabbing and dashing just in case. So we
do have a couple of questions before we go from
a chat here. The first one from bunting any real
value rise for Samson or do you foresee owners just
inflame his value to the point it's not worth it anymore?
Of this obviously coming off the heels of Quinshawn Judkins
(54:06):
getting arrested for you know, domestic violence. Obviously we still
need the details and everything to play out on that.
But what are your thoughts? You know, we've kind of
been talking about Sampson before this incident. Anyway, He's a
guy I keep pointing out as Hey, look, you know
the Browns are making a big shift towards running the
ball a ton and Sampson is obviously going to be
(54:28):
involved in this. But is there a boost because of
this Judkins news to Sampson's value or is this just
like people taking advantage of the timing right now.
Speaker 2 (54:38):
I think it does create a little bit of daylight
for him. As far as possibilities for playing time, Bogs
like going into the draft, I had him as the
number six, the RB six, after the big five of
Ashton Genty, Omarion Hampton, the two Ohio State guys in
(54:58):
Caleb Johnson.
Speaker 3 (54:59):
I had Sampson six.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
And then obviously it sucked that he went the fourth
round of the Browns had already taken.
Speaker 1 (55:06):
Drug feelings and Sampson going to Cleveland is like what
I had for Charbona going to Seattle. I feel like
kind of sap dealing. You're very disappointed because there's already
somebody really good there.
Speaker 2 (55:17):
Right he absolutely lost the landing spot lottery in the draft,
and you know, now this this gives him a little
more hope. The other thing that gives me hope is
that coming out of mini camp this year, I know
Deuce Staley, the running backs coach for the Browns, said
he is going to be looking for ways to use
(55:38):
Samson is both a running back and a receiver, and
maybe move Samson around the formation, line him up in
the slot sometimes, maybe split him out wide. That's encouraging, Yeah,
because I mean Samson is a fun player man, Like,
he can catch, He's got great lateral agility, good contact
balance for a guy who's only like what two hundred
pounds and boggs. I know, he only ran a four
(55:59):
or five one at the combine. He he plays faster
than that.
Speaker 3 (56:02):
Yeah, I thought he was going to be a four
to four guy.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
Yeah. And you can see it on a lot of
guys too, you know they play faster than they run
or they're not tied.
Speaker 9 (56:12):
Well.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
I mean that was a big thing with Keon Coleman
last year, right, was that his forty time was men,
but in the Gauntlet, he was the fastest and fastest
mile per hour. Like. So, once you get into real
football activities, and Sampson's one of those dudes that's like
very very very good in space, So they're going to
find ways. They're going to give him reverses, they're gonna
give him screens, they're going to give him you know,
(56:33):
handoffs and tricky plays and all kinds of stuff. So
I think you're looking at you know, ten to twelve
touches a game at minimum, and he can build from there.
But to get to that ten to twelve, he'd still
has to beat Ford for all of those touches. So
there is a value rise for Sampson. As you said,
(56:56):
I just think that it's both right, is there? I
think he's more valuable than what he is being perceived
before this incident, and now that this has happened, he's
probably gonna it's probably gonna go the other way where
he's valued a little bit too much, at least for
the next couple of weeks till we figure out what
is happening with this Judkins thing. So yes, there's he's
(57:19):
worth more than he was a week ago, but it's
either to where he should be or it's gone a
little bit beyond that now in my opinion. So, and
the last one I see here is from Chain. He says,
I'm getting into my first I STY league this year
as a startup. Do you have any advice such as
how many older players I should limit myself to? And
(57:41):
he put examples like Derek Henry Tyreek Hill in CMC.
So let's go with that. Specifically, first, limiting yourself to
the elderly players of the league in a dynasty startup FITSI.
Speaker 2 (57:56):
Well, my recommendation, Chain is to do a course before
you start drafting, and basically three options and try to
win right away, in which case you're certainly open to
drafting the older players and probably want to draft a
lot of them, like you probably want to be the
guy who drafts Derrick Henry if you're trying to win
(58:18):
in year one and people are really emphasizing youth in
the startup draft, so it's really easy to capitalize on
these discounts on the older guys and get a really
powerful year one team.
Speaker 3 (58:32):
Second path is basically.
Speaker 2 (58:34):
Try to win in year two, where you are sort
of emphasizing youth but willing to take some of these
veteran discounts. You know, mostly building a young roster, but
having some of these guys smattered.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
About, like three or four of them.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
And the other one is a productive struggle where you
are focusing heavily, heavily heavily on youth and pretty much
totally ignoring these guys, aiming for an ETA of like
twenty twenty seven. And yeah, it all depends which track
you want to go, but like commit to one of
those paths and then be consistent with your actions in
(59:10):
the startup draft, and you know your willingness to draft
these older guys totally depends on which of those paths
you choose.
Speaker 1 (59:18):
Yeah, and you can be you could go into the
draft kind of open, but you you I think after
you draft five to six rounds, you know exactly which
way you're going and how the board has fallen to you.
So yeah, just can't overload with too many injury risk
or older players stuff like that. Any other like flatline
(59:38):
rules for you going into an initial draft FITSI.
Speaker 2 (59:43):
Yeah, not really bogs. I mean, I just I do
choose one of those. Usually I am a win in
year two guy, so I'm not too interested. Like I'm
pretty youth focused, especially through the first ten or twelve
rounds of the draft. I'm not going to be getting
Derrick Henry, cmc Orkyryk Hill, but I might be willing
(01:00:05):
to take I don't know, like a Hunter Henry and
the late double digit rounds, or some guy who might
some older guy who might be able to help in
some way. And it's always good to have a player
like that who maybe might have some utility for a
contending team and you can flip at some point later
in the season.
Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
But I don't know.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Generally, I think the course you determine sort of automatically
guides you on how you're going to regard these older players.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
All right, I think that is everything you've seen. Any
more questions or anything, FITZI, yeah, Luke, do.
Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
We have time for Lucas real quick? He raised his hand.
Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
Oh yeah, I didn't even see it. Okay, great, yes, Lucas.
What's up my friend? How you doing? Give one morning
here before we bet? Yeah, we got you. What do
you got for us?
Speaker 10 (01:00:57):
Thanks for having me on?
Speaker 9 (01:00:59):
Let me my roster real quick. So last year I.
Speaker 10 (01:01:04):
Came in third place, I guess point different or whatever.
Just kind of want some general advice on what to
do with my team. Kind of really struggling with depth,
especially a wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
So yeah, I so give us a format one more time.
Speaker 5 (01:01:22):
It is.
Speaker 10 (01:01:24):
Twelve team PPR, single quarterback, two wide receiver, two flex, two.
Speaker 1 (01:01:31):
Wide receiver, two flex. Okay, I see what you're saying.
I think wide receiver at the back end, because you
have Pooka, Olave, Donsday, Shakir, like that's your main group,
and then the bench is Pittman, Austin Dell, Pat Bryan,
and Tesla you do have I really like the tight
ends are strong McBride, Ferguson and strange. Running backs are
(01:01:54):
good with your top three or Gibbs, Robinson, Caleb Johnson,
and then decent value on the bench with Alan Mason, Algiers,
Shipley and Lloyd and really good qbs to hear so
FITZI when you look at this roster, right, I think
this is like I think this is like an average roster,
Like it's right in the middle. How do you make
(01:02:15):
the is the depth to wider re Seever the first
thing you're you're trying to work on here and from
which avenue do you go about it?
Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
The depth isn't too bad if the lave stays healthy
and Romo dunes A Pops right is here, you know
what I mean. And it's like it's it's interesting because yeah,
like I think it's maybe even a slightly above average team,
Like I would expect this team to maybe get like one.
Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
Of the wild card spots right right right, I mean
look at that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
Look at the top guy he has at every position
like Daniel's Jamier, Gibbs, Puka Niku and Trey McBride.
Speaker 3 (01:02:53):
That's pretty awesome.
Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
And then like some some useful guys behind him like
a lot of star power and and okay, a depth, Okay, depth.
Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
I'm guessing that's I think I said Bjeon, but that's
probably Brian Robinson.
Speaker 2 (01:03:06):
No, oh, okay, okay, Yeah, so this is a solid
playoff team, then Bogs. I mean, if that is Gibbs
and Bjeon, then I know what's he doing, Bogs. Is
he trying to maybe flip Caleb Johnson to a like
a bad sort of team in rebuilding mode for like
(01:03:27):
an established veteran receiver.
Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
I think, I, I, you know, you don't flip, but
you float Gibbs or Bjeon and see if someone's gonna
someone is obsessed with them, and it's just gonna offer
you something ridiculous, right, Like.
Speaker 4 (01:03:41):
You know, what would you take for one of them?
Speaker 1 (01:03:44):
I so that's the question. I think you'd have to
get an upper tier wide receiver. And I think that's
kind of what I'd want to do here with this team,
because the wide receivers are gonna last longer, and then
maybe push my chips in to get a running back later.
But this is a really this is a really good build.
(01:04:06):
I don't want to tinker too much, and I have
to make sure, I'm getting like Brian Thomas Junior, right, or.
Speaker 3 (01:04:14):
London London Nico Nico.
Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Yeah, it has to be like out of that top eight,
you know, Thomas Collins, Amanra, you already have Pooka neighbors, Lamb, Jefferson, Chase, Like,
you have to get one of those guys back if
you're gonna trade one of those running backs. And if
it doesn't, are Withever those guys, I'm not doing it, period,
end of story.
Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
Maybe it's straight up superstar for superstar deal. But like,
at the same time, you could get Cale if you
wanted to flip Caleb, who might be attractive to a
team that is not trying to win now in your
league at all. And we've got Caleb valued on par
I'm just trying to see where we've got him in
our Dynasty trade value chart.
Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
Got him at fifty.
Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
His value is on par with like he k metcalfs
A Flowers, Jordan Addison, Xavier Worthy, Jalen Waddle. So you
could get a pretty high quality wide receiver if you
decided to deal off Caleb.
Speaker 1 (01:05:11):
I think Ale, yeah, for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
And there are a couple a couple of teams in
your league that I'm sure are already waving the white
flag before the season even starts, and that might be
a feeling to them.
Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
Would would you consider moving McBride? I mean, this isn't like,
you know, there's no Tucker Craft backing him up, so
you wouldn't go from above average to below average. But
do you think it would be a safer move fits
he to kind of maybe move a guy like McBride
or do you want.
Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
To stick with your Yeah, he's he's an engine for
this team. I think he's an engine. I would I
would hang on a McBride.
Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
I think so too. I think it's a it's a
like a good consideration because his value so high. But
I think you're right when you look at Daniels Gibbs,
b Jean pooka McBride, you take that group and you
build around it. So I understand your frustration, but this
is still a really good squad, so I wouldn't mess
too much with what you have here.
Speaker 2 (01:06:12):
It's funny that we both looked at this roster and
assumed that was Brian Robinson. We're like, yeah, this roster
is okay, and then we learned it was. It's like, oh, okay,
good he means business roster.
Speaker 1 (01:06:22):
Pretty good, good stuff. Lucas appreciate you, my friend, I
appreciate it.
Speaker 10 (01:06:27):
Yeah, thank you very much for getting me.
Speaker 1 (01:06:29):
And then of course Lucas, Uh, I think that's everything fitsy.
But uh hey, look like I said before, we will
