Speaker 1 (00:03):
Hello, everybody, Welcome into the Fantasy Pros Dynasty Discord show
the Trade Block. I am Ryan Warmley, joined here for
our January edition.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
By Pat Fitz Morris Fitz. Happy New Year.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
This is Dynasty season where I'm always love to start
a Dynasty season, probably less than a week from diving
into prospect analysis and you know, get deep into the
weeds with that for like two or three weeks, which
is always one of my favorite parts of the year.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
For those wondering you, me and Boggs are going to
be back, added the three of us on the Dynasty
Feed starting. I don't know when the episode's dropping. I
think it's Thursday, maybe, but we are recording tomorrow our
first kind of return episode. We always take a break
from the end of August to the start of January
as we focus on in season stuff, but we are
back with the Dynasty Pod. We're talking some Dynasty breakouts
(00:54):
for twenty twenty six in our first episode back, and
then I believe we were doing a rookie mock as
early as next week. I could be wrong about that,
but we're gonna have to get get right into it
right away, talking Jeremiah Love and Fernando Mendoza and everybody else.
So for those who love the Dynasty Chat, we will
be there every week from here on out, basically between
(01:14):
now in August at least one episode a week, so
that starts up again later this week, so I agree,
super exciting time. Let's dive in here fits to the
Dynasty Trade value chart and some of the updates that
we had here. We'll go through the different positions as
we usually do. It's been like this for a while,
but in case those are kind of just now diving
back into it. We do have not only twenty twenty
six rookie values, we have twenty twenty seven rookie draft
(01:35):
pick values in there as well. Obviously still well over
a year away, we don't know exactly what the class
is going to look like, but some early thoughts on
kind of how to be valuing those picks if you're
including them in any off season trading that you're doing. Here,
let's start off with the quarterbacks, as always fits when
kind of looking the first thing that jumps out to me,
and there are definitely some movers here, and nothing like
(01:57):
maybe mega drastic, but some real moves. Right, there's nobody
who maybe you know, drumped or dropped fifty points in
our value. But there are some real movers here. The
first one that stood out to me was just Jalen Hurts.
You know, just I wondered, so he drops here, He's
now kind of QB eight is where he is in
these Dynasty rankings, a value drop of about nine in Superflex,
(02:20):
And I wondered, fits, to what degree this is performance
this year? And to what degree this is we are
worried that they are finally going to ban the tush
push and that is going to change Hurts his value.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
I don't think it's so much about the possibility of
a tushpush ban worm, but I think we sort of
I wondered what it would be like if we didn't
get the same sort of value from rushing touchdowns that
we had been getting from Jalen Hurts. He had four
straight years with more than six hundred yards for rushing
(02:53):
and double digit touchdown runs and this year four hundred
and sum rushing yards only eight touchdown runs. Eight is
still a great number. I mean, we were excited about
Trevor Lawrence having nine this season, but eight is not
twelve or fourteen or some of these preposterous numbers he
was putting up, and that kind of takes him from
(03:14):
being like a high end QB one to more of
a mid range to back end QB one, And I
just wonder if that's maybe the way it's going to
be more often going forward. They seem to have replaced
the tush push with that little shovel pass to Dallas
Goddard as their favorite play inside the five yard line.
(03:34):
So if that continues to be the case, I don't
think we can look at Jalen Hurts as one of
the elites.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
I think that's totally fair. You know, when I look
at that group of quarterbacks, it feels like a pretty
big like to me, the very easy top three, and
again he can quote about the order, but the very
easy top three for me is Drake May, Josh Allen,
Lamar Jackson. I know you have Jane Daniels in the
group as well. I think he's totally to be you know,
in that conversation after that, I will I am here
(04:05):
for any argument of who wants to debate like five
to maybe eleven or twelve. I think I think you
can make very compelling cases for any of those guys
as being the next one off the back.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
How of your thoughts on Lamar Jackson for Dynasty changed
this season with the down year the injuries, Like, I
know you think he's still really good, as do I,
but has his Dynasty value like fundamentally changed in your
eyes based on what we saw this.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Year, not yet for me.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
For me, the only change from how I felt about
Lamar coming into the season to now is that I'm
happy to take Drake May ahead of him, which wasn't
the case a year ago. But that obviously speaks way
more to Drake May than it does to Lamar, because
May is now ahead of everybody in our Dynasty trade
value chart, which I agree with, But Lamar I still
feel very very strongly about. I would basically have him
(04:57):
like just a hair behind Alan and Ali just because
you know, he gets the rushing touchdowns, which is and
something Lamar does as much.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Besides that, I still see them as very.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Close to equivalent in terms of strictly like talking Dynasty
fantasy value, and like I would need to see a
second season of lots of injuries and ineffective Lamar for
me to start to reevaluate, because literally coming off of
last like season as in like the twenty twenty four
season that was one of the greatest statistical seasons in
(05:27):
the history of the NFL. That was a year ago.
We were removed from that. So I'm not ready to
say that, like this guy who was still in his
late twenties. I forget when he turns thirty, but it
hasn't happened yet. His birthday is in January. I think
I want to say he's turning twenty nine. I don't
remember his exact year, but like he's still in his
late twenties. I'm just not ready to knock him, especially
(05:48):
when to your point, this group of like Hurtz, Burrow, Herbert, Mahomes,
Dart Caleb, these are like the names that are after
that top four and there's not a ton that I
feel super great about saying they have to jump into
that tier one for me, like I I just still
feel like may Allen and Lamar and then if you
want to make the case Jayden, like I just feel
like they're still kind of separated from the rest of
(06:09):
the past.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yeah, that's fair, and hopefully they do give him some
more pass catching weaponry this year, because it does feel
like he was just too light on that like he needs,
he needs and I really be playmaking receiver.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
That's true of the entire Tier one fits, which is
kind of crazy, like Drake may needs another receiver, Josh
Allen needs receiver receiving help. Lamar could use another guy,
Jay Daniels needs like they all and frankly, besides Alan,
they could all use help on their O lines too.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Like there's this.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
These are four quarterbacks in our essentially how I'm viewing
in is as ore Tier one who their situations could
improve drastically this offseason if the teams make some shrewd moves,
because between the receivers for all four and the offensive
line for all four, only one of those boxes is
really checked right now in my opinion, So so yeah,
it's an interesting group from that perspective. The big mover
(06:59):
that I wanted to ask you about in terms of
a riser is Trevor Lawrence. He's now just outside QB
one territory is QB thirteen. He jumped up kind of
seventeen value points in superflex, so he jumped up from
the range of about QB nineteen QB twenty based on
that seventeen point jump too. Like I said, just a
hair outside the top twelve at the position. Obviously coming
(07:21):
off of just a nuclear finish to the season. He
had the Insane game in Week fifteen and continued to
play really well throughout the month of December. Do you
view and we actually talked about this a bit on
our Key Questions show fits, do you feel like this
was an elevation of Trevor Lawrence's game or was this
a hot month month and a half?
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yeah, I mean, in looking at his numbers, it's funny.
I don't think his numbers look fundament mentally different than
they were over the last couple of years. Other than
the rushing touchdowns big spike for him. There nine this
year versus like four three years past. I think maybe
I can't hear in the league, or maybe it was
(08:01):
his first he had five, so like that that gave
him a boost. Maybe he looked a little better and
was more efficient. I suppose, like the first month was
not great for him, and he was definitely better after that.
He did take to the Liam Cohen offense. They have
surrounded him with a lot of weaponry. I mean, he
didn't even have Travis Hunter, but the emergence of Parker
(08:21):
Washington was really nice for him. They went out and
got Jacobe Myers for him, so they seem really dedicated
to building around him. They just signed left tackle Cole
Van Lannon to a big contract extension, and Van Lannon's
been really good, so I like what they've done for him.
I'm finally starting to feel pretty good about Trevor Lawrence,
(08:44):
just when I was ready to write him off as
kind of just a guy at quarterback fits.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
I'm gonna be perfectly honest.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
I didn't hear a word you just said, because the
Ravens just fired John Harbaugh.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
No really, wow.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
I got if anybody was watching the video they saw,
they might have seen my reacting. I looked down at
my watch because I got a text from a friend
and it was just a link on my watch to
an Adam Schefter tweet, and I was like, oh, I
can't click that on my watch. I wonder what it was,
and I go to Twitter and yep, Ravens have split
ways with John Harbaugh. So to answer your raven you
know lamar question, now, I guess maybe kind of depends
(09:19):
on who the new coach is and what that looks like.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
That is.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
I didn't think they were going to do it.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
I have had a lot of conversations with my friends
about this over the course of the last few days
and early the last few weeks, and ultimately I didn't
think it was going to happen.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
So I'm really really surprised.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
And it's like like Jeremiah Matt Harmon Schefter rapport every
pretty much everybody's reaction is wow.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
That I'm seeing on Twitter.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
Oh, you know, like fantasy and NFL Insiders both combined.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
You did have a little twinkle in your eye, like
you've just seen Santa Claus there.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
For a second, I was wondering what that was all about.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
I mean, I did want it to happen.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
I love her.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
I'll keep this very quick because I that's not the
point of the show. I love Harbaugh like I am
very grateful for the eighteen years he gave us, and
I think he's a top ten coach in football. But
sometimes it's just time, and I felt like it was
just time, and it's similar. You'll appreciate this comp fits.
I thought it was similar to the way I felt
about Mark Turgen as Maryland's basketball coach. I liked him,
(10:20):
I thought, and he's not as good as Harbaugh was,
but I thought he was a good coach. But sometimes
the fit is no longer there and it's just time
to make a change, and I felt we had gotten
to that point with Harbaugh. So sadly, this wasn't a
year ago where the Ravens could have added Ben Johnson
or Mike Vrabel or Liam Cohen or all these like
really good coaches that have come along, you know, last year.
(10:40):
It feels like it's more of a down kind of
class of coaching candidates this year.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
But it was time for a change.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
So I am happy about it, and it could be
extremely relevant depending on who they add for fantasy purposes,
because there are some real superstars on this Ravens team,
of course, so we'll see who the new pairing is
with Lamar Jackson and moving forward here.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Yeah, I didn't think it was gonna happen so.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Very quickly because we've taken very long time a quarterback
because of that that you know detour there. I didn't
want to ask you just about Malik willis you obviously
you know he has been with the Packers for this season.
Jumps a lot in this value rankings inside the top
thirty two now he's still QB twenty eight, but this
is a backup, So to get inside to that top
thirty is like notable about what we think his value
(11:24):
could look like basically in the next year if he
gets his chance to start and plays anywhere close to
the way he did in some of these games to
end the year.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
So where did you have Willis?
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Because he's QB twenty eight and kind of your guys's
combined rankings.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
I believe I have him higher than that. I have
got him now. He's QB twenty eight for me as well. Yeah,
and I've got to move him up like I right now,
I've got him behind like Matthew Stafford, who could conceivably
be done after this season. I think I need to
move him ahead of like Michael Pennox and Daniel.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Jones and yeah, so.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
I'm gonna to do that right now. I'm going to
put him at QB twenty two, right ahead of JJ McCarthy.
So I think people should go out and get him
if they can, and do it right now because free
agency is going to hit. Malik Willis is going to
be given an opportunity to start for someone, and maybe
(12:20):
it's a place like Minnesota where he has to compete
with JJ McCarthy, or a place like Atlanta where he
competes with Michael Pennox. But I think he's probably going
to be a week one starter somewhere. He has immense
I think he could be a better version of justin Fields.
He's going to offer that sort of rushing upside, and
(12:44):
he really developed as a passer under Matt Lafleur and Worm.
When the Packers played the Ravens a couple of weeks ago,
I figured I downgraded all the Packers wide receivers. I
figure it was going to be a real run heavy
game plan. I mean, when Jordan Love got hurt in
Week one of twenty two twenty four and Willis had
to start the next two games, he threw fourteen and
nineteen passes in those games. I thought it might be
(13:06):
a similarly heavy run heavy approach.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Not at all.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
They just let Malik Willis cook in that game, and
he had a terrific game. If the Packers defense had
been able to even slow down Derrick Henry at all,
they would have been right in that game. So not
that he's going to be a top passer, but you're
going to get a lot of value from him as
a runner, and I think he can be a better
(13:32):
passer than Justin Fields was.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
I think it's.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Worth getting him now because he's going to get real
expensive when he signed somewhere.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
I was going to say, like, if somebody's paying attention,
it might be hard to kind of pry him from them,
but if I mean, it's worth at least trying, because yes,
if he signs with like the Colts or the Dolphins
or like, I don't know, there's a number of number
of options, we would be really really excited about him.
And as a as a preview of our show with
(14:01):
Bogman coming up later this week, we will be talking
about Malik Willis as a potential twenty twenty six breakout.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
So he's a player that we like for sure.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
By now, most of you have probably heard of Reality
Sports Online, the powerful fantasy sports platform where owners get
to build and manage their fantasy team like an NFL
general manager. But the question is, have you tried it?
It's time to go see what all the buzz in
the dynasty community is about. Free agency, multi year contracts,
a rookie draft, multi team trades, franchise tags, contract extensions,
first round rookie options, automated contract and salary cap functionality,
(14:31):
and much much more. I think it sounds complicated.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
It's not.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
The best thing about Reality Sports Online Fantasy front Office
is that it doesn't take any more time than a
standard league. It just requires more strategy. Think you're among
the fantasy elite, Well, this is the platform to test
your metal.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Still not sure?
Speaker 1 (14:45):
You can test out your general manager skills for free
in a mock free agency auction. If you like what
you see, use promo code Fantasy Pros to receive a

Reality Sports Online dot Com. All right, Fitz, let's come
down from the high of everything that's happened already for
(15:07):
Netick starts to the show. I talk about some running
backs here, one of the more interesting positions to always
discuss when it comes to dynasty. Not a ton of
huge movers here compared to the last edition of the
trade value chart. The biggest riser that I see in
scanning it right now, just making sure I didn't miss
anybody is actually Blake Korum, who's now up inside the
top thirty. He's at RB twenty seven, moving from around
(15:30):
the late thirties early forties range in the last edition
of the chart, and I think that feels fair. We
saw him getting more usage even with Kyron healthy. I
think it's very clear that he would be extremely valuable
if Kyroen were ever not in the picture with Los
Angeles and looking at some of the other names around him,
it's not like it feels like he didn't jump a
lot of names that you're going to pound the table
(15:52):
and say, these guys still have to be much higher.
It's kind of a blobby gray area anyway of the
running back position for Dynasty ran.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
So I think he's totally fair that he jumps a
lot of these guys.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
The funny thing is he might still be in the
same spot he was in at the end of this year,
where he's not a real confidence start because he might
not get a ton of carries. He might still be
in this role where it's basically two thirds Kyron Williams
one third Blake Korum, but we can at least see
a future with him where he at some point becomes
(16:22):
a leadback somewhere, if not for the Rams, maybe with
someone else, and with what he's shown us, if he
were to land in a lead back role eventually, like
he could be immenseally valuable.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
So I think he's.
Speaker 3 (16:36):
Worth acquiring, even if we know or at least suspect
that it's going to be much the same for him
in twenty twenty six as it was in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Is there anybody else amongst the running backs that really
jumps out to you as like, oh, we got to
make sure we hit on this player's movement, because it
did feel to me it was a lot of like
small changes here and there, like this guy went up
like a tiny bit, or went down a little bit,
like Queen Shawn Jenkins went down a little bit. He's
coming off this gruesome injury. He's still inside the top twelve.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
You know.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Christian McCaffrey comes, goes down a little bit.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
He's another year older, has a lot of you know,
mileage on those legs now after a season of really
heavy usage.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
But there weren't minor changes.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
You know. The Nun guy moves up a bit. He's
still at the back end RB two range. I just
wondered if there was anybody that, to you, you looked
at and said, like, this is a name that we
need to talk about because I feel very strongly about
this player moving one way or another. Or is there
a player that should have moved more that didn't in
your opinion.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
I'll talk about a guy who's value didn't change at all,
Breis Hall. He's still at running back ten, but we
could conceivably see that go up in just a few
months because he's going to be an unrestricted free agent.
I don't think the Jets re sign him because the
Jets have so much to do with their rebuilding project.
I don't think you start a rebuilding project at running
back by giving a free ag or running back a
(17:51):
big contract. So I think he's gonna walk. We talked
about this on our show, Are you Know? A Redraft
show last week what might be the possible landing spots
for him, and we came up with the Texans, the Commanders,
and the Chiefs as three prime candidates.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
And I think he'd be.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Pretty interesting in any of those landing spots, maybe more
interesting than he was with the Jets this year. So
right now he's at ten and holding that could move
up once free agency hits.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
I feel like maybe it should go up just in
anticipation of that. Like I guess, I guess it shouldn't
go up because you know, we don't want to count
our chickens before they're hatched. But I guess at the
very least it's worth pointing out. So I'm glad you
brought him up to say, like, we would expect this
would go up if he sides with like the Chiefs,
for example, So maybe like get him what well you can.
I guess is the is the advice I would give there.
(18:41):
But yeah, it feels like like if he sides with
the Kansas City, where will you be ranking him amongst
your dynasty running backs?
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Oh man, he's he's going up. He's probably going into well,
he jumps Bucky Irving for sure.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
I think he jumps travon two.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
I think he would jump Travion also. For me, I
don't know.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
To me, it's like that that Hampton Cook and then
Hall would be kind of that group of three outside
the top five would be where I'd be thinking about him.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
Yeah, yeah, so he's won.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
And then you know another free agent b ric O'dowdell
who we dropped because you know, the efficiency fell off
late in the season. Andy started sharing more work with
Chewba Hubbard. But if we see a favorable landing spot
for Rico Dowdell and free agency, that that value in
the chart could go right back.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Let's go to the wide receivers here, kind of scrolling
down through these similar to the running backs, where there
aren't a ton of huge jumps. The one name that
before I even looked to see how their value changed,
I knew I wanted to ask you about was Luther Burden.
We talked about him a bit on that Key Questions
for the offseason show as well. Somebody who the hype
has started to really come on strong. He's been very
efficient in terms of like how he's produced with the
(19:57):
number of routes he's been running. You know a lot
of those kind of rate stats have been really favorable
to him. He obviously has pedigree. This is a guy who,
going into his senior season at Miszoo, was thought of
as a potential top ten pick in the NFL draft.
Ended up going early in the second round, but perhaps
a really favorable landing spot given that we don't know
if DJ Moore is going to be there, you know,
at the start of the next season. He has Roma Dunda,
(20:20):
So it's not like he's going to get all the
attention in the world from defenses. He's got this great
play designer and play caller and Ben Johnson. It just
feels like it could end up being And there's scenarios
where it doesn't work out this well, but it could
end up being this really perfect offense for fantasy where
it's Caleb Williams taking a step forward with this great
play caller in Ben Johnson, and then really concentrated passing
(20:44):
game between two receivers in Roma Dunesay and Luther Burden,
and an ascending tight end in Colson Lovelin. And we
don't have to worry about much else. Again, it's a
long way to get to that point. But I bring
that all up to say, the hype around Burden taking
that kind of leap and stepping into a role that
we're really happy about and maintaining some of this efficiency
is really enticing for dynasty managers, and so I'm not
(21:04):
surprised to see that he took a leap here.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
He's up at wide receiver.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Twenty now with the likes of t Higgins, Jamison Williams,
AJ Brown, Jalen while really good players at Burd's name
is right there with them.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
I don't even know where to begin here. Let's see,
there's the player coach match. There's Luthor Burden being paired
with Ben Johnson, under whom I'm and Ross Saint Brown
became a superstar similarly slippery slot receiver. There is the
quarterback player pairing Caleb Williams. I mean, the way Caleb
(21:35):
can buy time. Imagine the nightmare for a quarterback, a
cornerback of trying to stay with Luthor Burden for four
or five seconds. And then there's the statistical stuff you
just mentioned. The best yards per route run number by
a rookie receiver since they started tracking that stat since
Odell Beckham, Luthor Burden is number two, and I was
(21:59):
just looking at net next Jen stats the other night
Luthor burdon number one in separation this year among all
wide receivers.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Like, there's so much to like here.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
We just didn't get to see it for much of
the season because I think it wasn't until about week
eleven that he played more than thirty percent of the
offensive snaps for the Bears in any game. They kind
of just brought him along slowly, had him play mostly
behind alamidez a Chaos, which seems like a travesty in hindsight.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
But Genie's kind of out of the bottle now, and I.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Think there's real reason to be excited if you got
Luther Burden and Worm. Some of us had Luther Burden
ranked ahead of Matthew Golden in our twenty twenty five
rookie rankings. I'm pretty proud of that one. I should
have had him up ahead of some of the other
guys too, like maybe a Mecca and Buca.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
I was gonna say a Buca was the one where
I had Abuka ahead of those two easily. Golden versus
Burden was more of a conversation for me early on
this season. It sure it looked like, you know, it
was correct to have Abuka up there. Maybe looks a
little different now, who do you prefer of the Bears receivers,
because prior to asking this question, I would have said
pretty quickly A doonsday. There are only three spots apart
(23:06):
in this Dynasty trade value chart, Dunday's wide receiver seventeen.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Burden wide receiver twenty. Do you think that's a real conversation.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
I still have no I have.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
I have Burdened up at ten wide receiver ten for Dynasty,
and I've got Roma Dunesay wide receiver seventeen.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
I mean, like, so you not only think it's a conversation,
you actively have Burden higher.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
I'd rather have him than Rashie Rice. This is going
to be controversial, but I've got him ahead of Nico
Collins right now, got him ahead of George Pickens, Garrett
Wilson ATBUCA.
Speaker 4 (23:39):
McConkie.
Speaker 3 (23:40):
Yeah, I'm pretty sold on Burden. I think he's I
think he's the truth.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
Man.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
I love I didn't get him in any of my
rookie drafts last year, but I did trade for him
in a league where we had tremendous running back death.
A guy had receiver death, really needed a running back.
We swung David Montgomery straight up for Burden in this
Dynasty league. This was very early in the year when
Burden wasn't really and much feeling really dark, and this
was like a pretty shrewd league.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
This wasn't like taking advantage. But he doesn't know what
they're doing.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
We just kind of got really lucky with how that
pane and ironically fits, we faced that guy in I
have a co manager in this league, and he and
I faced the manager who gave us Burden in the
championship game, and Burden's twenty three points was the difference
in that so that already Pegg dividends and then you know,
a much more ceiling to come.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
So we felt real good about that one.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
The other receiver that I wanted to hit on before
we moved to tight end is Michael Wilson because for
the last however many weeks it was I forgot to
check the exact date, but like for a large chunk
of the season, this was like the wide receiver three.
It was basically like JSN Puoka and Michael Wilson for
much of the season. Here, what are you doing with
him right now? Because there will be probably some degree
(24:49):
of clarity when we know who the head coach of
the Cardinals is, when we know who the official starting
quarterback is going to be, Like we were going to
have a different sense of this situation even with Marvin
Harrison Junior back in healthy by the time we hit August.
Probably right now, if you're making trades, fits are you
trying to sell high on Michael Wilson? Are you trying
(25:09):
to buy high from somebody who wants to get rid
of him? He falls in the rankings as wide receiver
thirty eight here, which is a very sizable leap from
where he had been previously. But where is he for you?
And more so than where is he ranked for you,
what's your approach with him? Is it more of a
buye or more of a sell.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
I think he's more of a buye. You know you
said by high. I think it's sort of pay fair price,
pay full price, and I'm willing to do that. And
so I've got him wide receiver thirty five. I've been
wrestling with the idea of who I prefer between Xavier
Worthy and Michael Wilson, which is seems kind of funny
(25:48):
considering where we were at with Xavier Worthy at this
time a year ago. Right now I've got Worthy ranked
slightly higher. I'm not sure that's right. Like it was
just a case of seeing his believing and I do
think he was kind of held back by his quarterback,
Kyler Murray. A first read guy in Michael Wilson was
very rarely his first read. And you know, kind of
(26:09):
shame on that coaching staff for not seeing what they
had earlier in Michael Wilson, Where are you.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Going to have Margaret Harrison Junior ranked? Do you think?
I mean, right now, he's widers here for twenty six
in this chart? Where is he for you?
Speaker 4 (26:28):
I mean, I've got him.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
I've got him higher than that. I've got him wide
receiver twenty two, which seems.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
A little high. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
I like, I don't think he's a bust. A lot's
going to depend on what they do in the offseason.
What are they going to do with the quarterback position?
Who are they going to bring it as their next
head coach. I think there's still a lot we have
to figure out before the values settle with some of
these Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Let's go at the tight ends here.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Speaking of the Cardinals, I mean Trey McBride, what a
finish to the year.
Speaker 2 (27:02):
Is it a conversation for you him versus Bowers?
Speaker 1 (27:04):
I mean, McBride is still a tight end two in
this chart, but it is slightly not by a lot,
but it's slightly closer than.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
It had been.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
They are both head and shoulders, you know, ahead of
everybody else. They Let's see, the gap between Trey McBride
at two and Tyler Warren at three is the same
as the gap in our terms of our value, and
this is in tight end premium is the same as
the gap and value between.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Tyler Warren at three. And let me do some quick math.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
It just passed George Kittle at tight end ten. So
a very large gap between the top two and everybody else.
Do you see it as a conversation, You've been the
the Brock Bowers guy for a while. I do remember,
I don't know if you recall this when we did
our key Questions episode for the season.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
This was not Dynasty, this was just for the season.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
I asked you and Debro who you thought would sort
of be like the player of the season, and you
both picked tight ends. You picked Bowers, and Dero picked
to Trey McBride. Bride obviously does better. Injuries play a
role in that, offense plays a role in that. Do
you still have Bowers ahead or do you think it's
a fair debate.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
I have Bowers ahead, and I think he's going to
be behind McBride in redraft next year. I still prefer him,
not only in Dynasty, but in Redraft. I would rather
have Bowers than Tray McBride. I just think Bowers is
so extraordinary athletically, and the headwinds were just a little
too much for him this year with that knee injury
that really like killed his production when he played through it.
(28:28):
Then he missed a lot of time. The offense was
just a train wreck with all the offensive line injuries
by the tame time he came back. But now the
Raiders are going to be welcoming a new quarterback, either
Fernando Mendoz or Dante more In all likelihood, they're going
to have a new coach, and no doubt with all
the off time with the rookie quarterback, they're going to
(28:49):
have Ashton Genty brock Bowers. Is there any doubt they're
going to hire an offensive minded head coach. I don't
think there is. We can take that for granted. And
that offensive line is going to be better. I mean,
Colton Mellon's Miller is going to be healthy again. They
are going to add to that offensive line. Things are
going to look a lot better. I just think McBride
cannot He's just not the type of athletes brock Powers is.
(29:12):
And this might upset some people, but I think that
Trey McBride is basically Jason Witten deluxe. I mean, like,
if you look at the yards per yards per target,
yards per route run, yards per catch, pretty ordinary numbers
for McBride, it's just been all about the volume because
(29:33):
Marvin Harrison Junior hasn't fired yet, because basically they there
were a few instances where Michael Wilson was out of
the bottle and Marvin Harrison Junior was healthy, so it
was basically Jacoby Brissett working with one wide receiver plus
Trey McBride, and I mean Trey McBride where I almost
(29:54):
lost a championship game at the end because of the
way they were just feeding McBride in garbage time. I'm
in week seventeen to try to get him that tight
end reception record, which I found pretty disgusting at the time.
But like, it's not that Trey McBride is this dominant force.
I think he's just kind of been a product of circumstances.
Speaker 4 (30:14):
He's a really, really good player.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
I don't want to slight him, but I just do
not think he's on brock Bauers level.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
I'm pretty sure I know the answer at least I
know your answer to this question who should be tight
end three, because I think you could at least squint
and make a compelling case for anybody from tight end
three through through tight end ten.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Now, I think there are still very.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Clearly like players that I would strongly prefer in that group,
But I think you can make a coherent case if
you wanted to arguing for any of those guys.
Speaker 2 (30:47):
The next like eight names.
Speaker 1 (30:48):
Really, the names at the top of the list are Tyler, Warren, Tucker, Kraft, Colston, Lovelin,
Harold fan and Junior. Those are kind of like the
next tier based on our value. And then the names
after that Laporta, Gadsden, Pits, and Kittle. That rounds out
the top ten. I think the correct answer is probably
somebody in that first tier, Warrencraft, Loveland or fan In.
(31:09):
Like I said, I think you could at least make
a cojin argument for some of these other names.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
Who is it for you?
Speaker 4 (31:14):
Loveland?
Speaker 3 (31:15):
The way he just came on down the stretch and
really it wasn't just the stretch. I think he hit
at least three catches in every game starting in like
week three or four, and.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
Just continued to show up.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
And that was despite splitting snaps with cole Comette for
much of the season. But towards the end, I mean,
he just became a force and now he is really scary.
I mean I was in a different championship game where
I was going against Colston Loveland and it was that
forty nine Ers game and the Bears. I was leading
by like two points and the Bears had the ball
(31:48):
and they were close to the goal line at the
very end, and like, I was terrified that cole Comette
was going to score the game winning touchdown for the
Bears and for my opponent in that game, and luckily.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
It didn't have.
Speaker 3 (32:00):
But man like, Loveland felt like a force of nature
towards the end of the season. I think we saw
why he went ahead of Warren in the draft. Like Loveland,
I think it's kind of another Bowers McBride type of
thing where Loveland is just athletically on a different level
(32:21):
than Warren is. Warren's a really good player and he
is a gamer man. That guy's a warrior, But I
think Loveland is just a special athlete.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
I actually expected you to say Tyler Warren, so I
was surprised that you ended up going with Loveland. So
I'm glad I asked because I did not hope the
correct answer. Yeah, Tucker Craft obviously looked like he was
elevating into this conversation pre injury. It was early enough
in the season. I think we're still all very excited
about him. And then Fannin, like, it's just a question
of the situation he's in. They're going to have a
(32:52):
new head coach, possibly a new quarterback. Even if they
don't have a new quarterback, like, they need to see
improvement from Shadur. The offensive line is going to be
vas like. It is a tough situation. A fan In
is a good player man, and despite the situation, he's
up at tight end six in these rankings. And then
Kyle Pitts is the other big right, Fannon is the
biggest rise or the second biggest his pits because he
(33:14):
finally kind of I mean, he was tight end two.
I don't know if it really felt like he was
tight end two this season. He had obviously the insane
game against Tampa that everybody remembers, you know, besides that
it was more good than like you know, league winner,
but he technically did finish his tight end two. He's
tight end nine in these rankings here, if he really
is putting it all together. We also don't know if
(33:34):
he's going to be back in Atlanta. I think this
this rise is completely justified.
Speaker 3 (33:38):
Two fits, and now he hits free agency, so it's
gonna be real interesting to see where he lands. I mean,
I don't know how the right now that the Chiefs
are not in great shape with regard to the salary cap.
But could you imagine if like Travis Kelcey retired and
Kyle Pitts was the Chiefs brought him in to play
with Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
That'd be pretty fun.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
Yeah. This, I'll not even ask you about it because
I know you agree.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
But let this be my monthly reminder to everybody that
once Isaiah likely is not on the same team as
Mark Andrews, he's going to be a great dynasty tight end.
He's still down to tight end eighteen here, so if
you have the opportunity to go after him, I would
definitely recommend doing that.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Agree fits.

Today at Fantasypros dot com, slash my playbook and dominate
your league fits. Let's jump into some listener questions here.
I will pull back up what we've got going on.
So this is gonna be really through the rest of
the show because I did see we got a question earlier,
kind of asking if we're going to be answering questions,
the rest of the show will be listener questions here.
You can either drop them in the chat or kind
(35:01):
of raise your hand. Will call you up on stage
and answer those questions live.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Let's actually start off. We often start with the chat.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
We don't have that many hands raised, so let's start
with one of these raised hands, your fits.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Let's bring up catalyst.
Speaker 4 (35:13):
Hi, guys, how are you doing? Hey? Doing well?
Speaker 2 (35:15):
How are you do fine?
Speaker 5 (35:17):
Thank you?
Speaker 6 (35:18):
So I wanted to share on the chat like the
current team that I have. So it was after my
first year of startup. I did a lot of moves
in order to get where I was at, Like I
started it with the first over like a first round
pick with by getting Lamar and then then flipped them
to get JSN and Bucky Everring, who then I transitioned
(35:40):
to Chase and an additional first and stuff like that.
So I was only able to get like a fifth
after like a bad first round in playoffs. And just
want to know what moves I should make. I'm leaning
towards trying to sell Chase and pickings right now fits.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
What do you think looking at his team here in
the chat?
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Yeah, the quarterback is probably gonna need to be addressed,
as I don't I don't know if you have a
second quarterback for twenty twenty six right now. So pickens
a good sell, probably a good time to sell high.
You just wonder, I mean, as great as he was,
and he's a terrific player when he is dialed in,
(36:19):
but we know he doesn't bring it every game, and
it'll be interesting to see how they handle it with
the Cowboys. But we knew there was more on the
table for him than he showed us in Pittsburgh. But
at the same time, I do wonder if we'll look
back on twenty twenty five as a career year because
he just went so nuclear. So I'm on board with that.
(36:39):
I'm on board with selling Chase Brown. And so is
your league at tight end premium at the top, it's
cut off after tight end. I assume you were starting
at tight end premium. Yeah, so there's something to be
said for keeping both of these tight ends. But and
I mean, those guys would give you some serious clout
(37:01):
in a trade if you put up either Warren or
Fannin for sale, and might help give you the quarterback
you need.
Speaker 4 (37:08):
I just consider that.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
But I think your instincts about maybe shopping Pickens in
Chase are pretty spot on. I do think the tight
end those young guys could probably give you some real
heavy leverage in trying to get your second quarterback.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
I would both try to trade for a quarterback, and
I would also maybe still even consider spending like ONEA
eight or one twelve, depending on how this class shakes out.
Like Wen, I don't think we know yet is Dante
Moore officially coming outfits I I don't recall seeing that
he had made an official decision. Obviously, Mendoza probably won't
get there, But like there might be some quarterback dart
(37:45):
throws like and I say Dart no pun intended, but
like like a Jackson Dart a year ago, or shuck
where late first round in Superflex. Even if you think
there are better players, those guys are more likely to
gain value than lose value. If there are quarterbacks that
come out in this class that maybe like don't seem
like superstar true studs. Like top five picks, you have
(38:07):
multiple late first and in early second. Even if you
trade for a guy I think may right now is
your only quarterback that you can really count on going
into next season. I'd try and get too, I'd trade
for one and use one of those picks on another.
And and don't feel like you're overdoing it at the position,
is what I wanted to say.
Speaker 4 (38:22):
Yeah, I agree, good advice.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Cool, all right, so we will go to the next
question here.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Thank you Catalyst for that.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
What's up? Boys?
Speaker 4 (38:33):
Can hear me? Hey?
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Yeah we can.
Speaker 5 (38:36):
Fantastic? How's it going? How's it going? We got any
good titles this year?
Speaker 2 (38:41):
Got two for me?
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Fits fits had a very interesting playoff run here he
can mentioned.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Yeah it was it was good. Read raft. Nothing in Dynasty.
Speaker 3 (38:54):
Got to one Dynasty Championship game and didn't win it,
but were you right?
Speaker 4 (38:59):
Was pretty good.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Seven teams into the Semis, went seven to zero the Semis,
and uh then four and seven in championship week. So
a pretty good year for redrafts, and as luck would
have it, the bigger money leagues were the ones that
were most successful, so it was a.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
Pretty fun year.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
Did not win the first inaugur Ol Fantasy Pros Dynasty
podcast listener league in Reality Sports Online had a really
good team when eleven and three got to the Semis
and quarterback injuries tripped me up.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
It's a super flex format.
Speaker 3 (39:34):
Yeah, having Jade and Daniels and Patrick Mahomes kind of
backfired on me.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Who did win by the way.
Speaker 3 (39:42):
Michael Ascoto, he didn't. He was the guy who dumped
me in the Semis.
Speaker 5 (39:48):
At least you lost to the winner. I had a
weird I had a weird season where I won two
titles with seven and seven teams and my team that
and twelve and two lost in the Semis.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
So wow, I had that too.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
My best team I had one loss all year and
it was in like Week three. It was just utterly
dominant and then that was the one that.
Speaker 2 (40:11):
Didn't even make the championship.
Speaker 1 (40:12):
And meanwhile the teams that did were like the five
seed that squeaked in.
Speaker 5 (40:17):
And then of course that team puts up one hundred
and sixty championship.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
Mark it that way.
Speaker 5 (40:25):
So one of the things I was wondering, just to
bring up a couple of guys that are that are injured,
we haven't seen in a minute, especially at tight end,
how would you guys value Fannin versus Kraft?
Speaker 1 (40:36):
So you know, it's funny, like because we were just
talking about the tight end section. Obviously Craft is tightened
four in the trade value chart. Fan In is tight
end six. They're like two spots apart in tight end premium,
so like and by spots I mean kind of value points,
so extremely close of course, yeah, fits, I kind of
want to get your opinion before I share mind, just
as the Packers fan, what do you think about Craft
(40:59):
coming off this knee injury, but with just how dominant
he looked, you know, prior to getting hurt.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
I think it was a clean ACL tear, where by
clean I just mean the ACL and there was no
other ligament damage. So with guys like that, especially younger guys,
like there's usually it's not too complicated. I wouldn't be
surprised if Kraft were ready for week one and if
there was basically no drop off.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
I mean, he's basically.
Speaker 3 (41:27):
George Kittle reincarnated, so really high on him. I'm I've
got him ranked one spot ahead of fan In in
my rankings. I think we've got them two trade value
points apart.
Speaker 4 (41:41):
And I think that's all right.
Speaker 3 (41:42):
I think the difference basically between them is that Fannin's
quarterback situation is kind of up in the air right now,
and Tucker Craft as Jordan Love.
Speaker 4 (41:54):
I exactly what I was Lincoln, Yeah, with a better QB.
It's such a yeah.
Speaker 3 (42:00):
If Bannon was playing with uh, you know, Joe Burrow,
I might have fan In a head of Craft probably.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
Well, it's it's it's not just the quarterback that your situation.
Right again, we just talked about this. It's the head
coach is unclear, the offensive line is terrible, and then
you throw in the quarterback question mark and yeah, it's
just like I would have Tucker Craft tight end five
in Dynasty rankings and fan and tight end six.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
Craft would have been higher.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
But I mean, just to give some created like, you know,
level of respect to the injury, and there are other
guys I like, so I would have the very close.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
But if I have two guys close, I'm going to take.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
The one with Jordan Love and Matt Lafleur and not
really a clear like wide receiver one to dominate targets
anyway as opposed to the tight end who should be
the number one target on that offense, but the offense
has nothing else.
Speaker 2 (42:48):
So yeah for me, for me to be craft.
Speaker 5 (42:52):
Excellent. And then one last question, I have the one
twelve in a single quarterback guys league, how would you
value that in trade negotiations? So I don't think I'm
getting a starter, but I think I may be able
to package it with a Jaden Reid and get a starter.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
Yeah, I was just gonna mention on the chart here
fits if you look kind of that one twelve is
roughly about a thirty five kind of numerical value. If
you look at like the quarterbacks, that's like a Molik
Willis Well, actually that's M. Wilson super flex. So in
one QB that'd be like a CJ. Stroud, you know,
running back level. We have that kind of evaluated as
like a Blake Korum or a Woody Marx. You know,
(43:36):
at wide receiver, you know like a Terry McLaurin, you know,
Matthew Golden speaking to the packers. And then at tight
end you know something like a Jake Ferguson. So those
are some of the names of those positions that our
chart has it valued at. What do you think fits
in terms of how you would value it?
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Yeah, I'm just trying to imagine who might be there
at one twelve and a one QB league, and I'm
thinking of a player Casey Concepcion wide receiver from Texas
A and M who, honestly, when he comes out Tater
I will probably have him with a dynasty value very
similar to Jaden Reid. So it's like doubling or buying
(44:15):
power with Jaden Reid. What are what are too Jaden
Reid's worth to someone?
Speaker 4 (44:22):
It's not as zero exactly.
Speaker 3 (44:25):
It's it's not a great class, but I think it
could at least be a deep class, that deepen off
class that there are gonna be some really interesting possibilities,
like late first round, well into the second round, before
we start to see a drop off in talent where
you wonder if guys are going.
Speaker 4 (44:42):
To make it or not.
Speaker 3 (44:42):
But I think it would add to your buying power
a little bit. But yeah, in this draft, I'm not
holding on tightly to my first round picks.
Speaker 5 (44:52):
I think that that may be the concept that may
be the perception for a lot of people in my
league specifically, but also just in general with people about
forwarding twenty seven picks and thrown around twenty six picks.
So it may be an opportunity to zig instead of zag,
instead of getting getting a Blake quorum or someone who
doesn't have as much of a shared role, just take
(45:15):
your shot on a good wide receiver because those those
good wide receivers in Dynasty are always so valuable.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
I think what would be appealing to me is target,
like if you want to do acchoir picks. Obviously this
is just you holding on tears. But I think going
for that back half of the first round two is
smart because after Jeremiah Love and maybe Mendoza, it feels
like it feels like picks like four through eight, there's
not going to be that much difference between those and
picks nine through twelve. This year, it's going to be
(45:43):
a lot of I think I have the beholder, you know,
personal preference. Maybe landing spots of course could change that,
and there's a long way to go in the draft process,
but it feels to me right now as we start
these conversations that after the top you know, two maybe
three picks, that it's going to be like you're going
to get players that you like, possibly at pick ten
that you might have taken up at pick five because
(46:05):
it was just your preferred guy. So I do think
that there may be is and so if players and
managers are valuing those picks less this year, I think
that is an opportunity.
Speaker 5 (46:15):
Okay, cool, I don't want to take up too much time,
but I will say that I am going to be
celebrating my three fantasy titles this year at the Expo
free plug. Everyone should come. It's a great time.
Speaker 3 (46:25):
Care Yeah, and we're going to get you in the
Fantasy Football Expo golf outing this year, so you can,
you know, teach me how to play the game.
Speaker 5 (46:35):
Oh absolutely, At the very least I can get your
liquored up.
Speaker 4 (46:39):
But it's awesome.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
Thanks, thanks theater.
Speaker 1 (46:42):
All Right, we've got another hand raise and then we'll
run to some of these chat questions for the folks
who have dropped their questions in the chat after we
get Hawk up here on stage.
Speaker 7 (46:50):
Hey, guys, can you hear me?
Speaker 4 (46:52):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (46:52):
We can perfect Thanks doing question in the chat as well,
And it was a first time listener. I was the
one to asking if you guys took questions and so
on and so forth. But I have a couple. I
don't want to say issues for the very good issues
I have. But the first one I have is my
quarterback situation. I'm in a two QB dynasty league. It's
(47:14):
like the third year running. But I have JD five,
I have Jackson Dart, Rock Purty. I also have Mac
Jones on the bench. I just don't know. I don't
think I need most likely for starters.
Speaker 4 (47:28):
Yeah, which should you part with?
Speaker 6 (47:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (47:31):
The one I would want to keep would be Purty
because I think he's probably going to be valued a
praise at a lesser price than Jade Daniels and Jackson Dart.
And yet I think Purty is going to be really
solid for you know, several more years. I mean, I
would be okay with trading one of Jade and Daniels
(47:53):
or Jackson Dart for a bounty you should be able
to get an excellent price for either of those guys,
you know, and if you feel slided with offers for
those guys, if you put them on the market, then
you can just keep them.
Speaker 4 (48:08):
But I am pretty I know worm.
Speaker 3 (48:11):
What's your level of confidence that mac Jones is starting
somewhere in week one of twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
Honestly, not that high. It's not so high that I
would rush to make a trade. I think if somebody
makes you a really strong offer, i'd obviously be open
to it. For me, I would be totally content to
say I've got three guys that I feel really good about.
You're kind of combining some floor with Purty with some
ceiling with Dart. I worry about Dart's floor. I worried
(48:36):
if he keeps taking these concussions. Obviously, we don't know
what the new coach is going to be in New York. Like,
I'm worried enough that I would like I would just
be super comfortable saying I have the elite Tier one
guy and Daniels at least how we have them in
the chart, and then I have two guys that are
both inside the top twelve, and I'm just not going
to have to think about this position for a while,
and then assuming Mac Jones is not anything, and then
(48:59):
if Mac becomes a starter somewhere, seeing what you can
flip him for at that time, and I would just
move him then rather than one of these other guys.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
That would be my approach.
Speaker 1 (49:09):
Again, if you get a really good offer for Jackson
Dart because people are really excited about the rushing and
are not concerned about the injury, yes I would be
super open to that. He would be the one I
would be most interested in moving right now, honestly, of
those three. But but I would be fine just not
moving any of them personally.
Speaker 7 (49:26):
And I like that take because last year happily this
year sadly, I am a Commanders fan, so it's been
a very interesting last.
Speaker 4 (49:34):
Two years frustrating.
Speaker 7 (49:37):
Yes, I was definitely leaning towards Dart a lot more
than Perty and JD five. Like I also like I
have Mac Jones on the bench, and I also have Tua,
which I'm just if I can flip one of those
two guys or two of those guys for a bench piece,
that's kind of what I'm looking after.
Speaker 1 (49:56):
Yeah, I kind of would have. Yes, I have those
three and then move Mac if he becomes a starter,
or to you know, seeing whatever happens with him for
some other piece elsewhere in your team, even in like
superflex not like true too, QB. I'm not sure which
one this is, but like either way, I'm like, I
want to have three starters on my team, and I
(50:18):
don't want to operate as if Max, Jones and Tua
are like guaranteed to be one of those three. I
think those are luxury pieces you trade when the time comes.
I wouldn't be proactive about moving them again unless you
get some kind of Godfather offer for these guys. But yeah,
I mean, like to your point, like it's not just
Jackson Dart having injury history here, like Jayden Daniels, like
it was a concern coming out of college and then
(50:38):
it didn't really happen year one, but it did happen
year two. So like, I think it would be fair
to say, like, let me just keep three guys and
trust that throughout the course of a year, two of
these guys are gonna be healthy and are gonna give
me really good production. You know, I know it feels
different in Washington than it did, you know, ten years ago,
but like it's hard not to feel sometimes like the
organization is still a little cursed. So you know, I
(51:00):
don't even know how much you want to put, like
all your stock in h Jane Daniels and just assume
he'll be healthy every season for seventeen games.
Speaker 7 (51:08):
Yeah, I like that. I like that. I didn't even
consider keeping the three and then hopefully two out of
three are healthy. I have one more question. I did
post my team onto the chat. I also have the
one oh one this year. I came in came in
second this year. I have none of my picks other
than my fourth round pick because I figured my team
(51:30):
was going to do pretty well, so I try to
flip them for people's teams that I didn't feel so
comfortable about. But with me having a chain Bucky and Henderson,
I have a trade offer for the one oh one
this year. He was going to give me the one
oh eight, so I'd end up having the one oh
seven and one o eight this year. Two first in
twenty seven in a twenty eight second. Because the guy
(51:52):
is a Notre Dame fan.
Speaker 4 (51:54):
Oh, I would balance on that. I would absolutely pounce
on that.
Speaker 1 (52:00):
And you when you started your question Huk. I was
ready to say, just take Jeremiah Love.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
He's really good.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
Don't worry about the fact that you have all the
running backs you do. But if you're talking that many picks,
especially with how strong the twenty twenty seven class is, like,
I think that is fundamentally.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
The correct way to approach dynasty.
Speaker 1 (52:18):
I think even if it's even if Love is really
good in the NFL, I think you're.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
You will be happy to have made that move. I
did something very similar.
Speaker 1 (52:26):
Just use myself as an example in a league that
I'm in with fits a kind of a work dynasty
league where I had the one OHO won the year
of Bijon, and I felt my team wasn't ready to compete,
so it was a little bit different. My team wasn't
more of a rebuild, but I traded him for what
turned out to be essentially for first round picks, and
I Bijon is awesome. He I would love to have
him on my team, But I still am very comfortable
(52:48):
with that decision. When you get that much draft capital,
especially for a running back as good as he is, Like,
we don't know the landing spot. He could be like
Genty and go to a team like the Raiders and
have a terrible offensive line, and like, I think you
take that trade and sprint to accept it.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
In my opinion, yeah, advantage of that guy's Notre Dame fandom.
Speaker 4 (53:09):
And like, I'm not sure Jeremiah love is.
Speaker 3 (53:11):
Even a Bjon Lovell prospect either, So you know, I'm
keeping open the possibility that I might have Ernando Mendoza
or one of the receivers ranked ahead of him and
super Flex, but probably not. It's probably gonna be Love,
but I would absolutely jump on that deal, my friend.
Speaker 7 (53:30):
All right, Well, I appreciate you guys time. It was
the first time listening and first time jumping on this,
and I appreciate you guys. Have a great night, and
hopefully you guys have success like this year next year
in your fantasy adventures.
Speaker 4 (53:44):
Hope you'll be back.
Speaker 5 (53:46):
Yeah, I appreciated.

(54:21):
dot com slash chat. Fitz will take a couple of
minutes here to answer some of these chat questions because
we did start a little late. Not to blame anybody,
but somebody had some mic issues at the start of
the show.
Speaker 2 (54:32):
So let's feed through some chat questions here and then
we will get out if here.
Speaker 1 (54:37):
Question from Bunting what to do with this team? He
dropped a screenshot here in the chat. Trade picks for
established players or ride it out with the below average class.
The first rounder is the fourth pick. He believes that
he's highlighting for us. He went one for three in
his Dynasty Championship, so hey, one out of.
Speaker 2 (54:52):
Three, honestly, not terrible. They're Bunting.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
I'm looking at his team, you know, Manungai Chase Brown
at running back, Ceedee Lamb, Dj Moore, Flowers, He's got
Remandre also at running back, Parker Washington, Friarmooth. Not a
good quarterback room here except for Mahomes, who has the
injury question mark. Of course, you know TJ. Hockinson at
tight end, got Al Pearce at BUCA, Keyan Coleman.
Speaker 2 (55:15):
Your guy fits. So what would you do with this team?
Speaker 3 (55:18):
I would definitely not give up picks for proven tallent bonting.
I just I think this team is pretty far from
contending right now with what you have. I would lean
into the rebuild. You're pretty well stocked with picks this
year and next, living a couple of twenty twenty seven
first that are going to be valuable. I mean, I'd
try to get either more young players or more picks
(55:42):
with some of your proven talent. Like I'd consider trading Mahomes.
I'd maybe even consider trading Lamb.
Speaker 2 (55:49):
I think Chase Brown is a good player to look
to trade.
Speaker 3 (55:51):
YEP, I think lean into the rebuild. I don't think
you're really close to contending with this got some good, young,
promising young players and a lot of draft capital. I
would say lean into that and acquire more young players,
more draft capital.
Speaker 2 (56:09):
Next question here in the chat fits in a twelve
team PPR league, what do you make of Derrick Henry
and Saquon in the next one to three years. I
am just done.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
Doubting Derrick Henry, like it will the other shoe will
drop eventually. I'll just wait till I see it, and
I'm just gonna assume it's not gonna happen till it happens.
I mean, he was, he was a If they used
him more in the second half against the Steelers, he
probably would have the rushing title this year. He's in
his thirties, Like, I think this is still gonna be
an offensive scores a lot of touchdowns even as he
gets worse. I don't think the touchdowns are going to
(56:40):
go anywhere in this Baltimore offense. And he'll still, you know,
get the occasional breakaway runs like I would just ride
him into the ground.
Speaker 2 (56:48):
When it's done, it'll be done. But I'm not gonna
predict when it's gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (56:52):
And it could be done fast. The only thing is
like full point.
Speaker 3 (56:55):
PPR devalues him so much. He did have a couple
just smash games that Week one game obviously the game
against the Packers in Week seventeen. But man, I mean
PPR is tough for him. You know that, probably no
one is going to give you much in Dynasty for
Derrick Henry. So I'm I kind of agree with worm.
Just sort of ride it out and say quon. I mean,
(57:18):
it was going to be hard for him to repeat
what he did in twenty twenty four, but he certainly
didn't crash and burn this year. Is still fourteen hundred
some yards, double digit touchdowns. I think he can keep
it up. We might start to see some age related decline.
But the only thing is another guy who even though man,
(57:39):
he had so much pass catching potential coming out of college,
that part of his game just hasn't been tapped into
that much. With the Eagles, that's probably not the team
to really tap it. So another one where it's like,
given his age and the slight decline we saw year
over year, probably no one is going to give you
(58:01):
a ton for him. I'd be okay with just riding
out with him, but no, if you get an interesting offer,
even a first in this this year's draft, I'd probably
take for him, if you're kind of rebuilding also depends
on what if. So you're a three peat champion, if
you want to go for four, your next message mentioning
(58:23):
that you're a three peat guy, like people are dropping
out because you're so dominant. Maybe you just sort of
ride the way with these guys and let them go.
But yeah, let them leave and find a replacement, man,
That is the right approach.
Speaker 2 (58:37):
Yes, that is the correct approach. Where if people want
to leave because your team's really good, that's their choice. Like,
enjoy having a good team and find replacements.
Speaker 1 (58:46):
Because you know eventually you won't be as good, right,
Like Derek Henry and Saquon will have bad years eventually
and it'll start to look different. So next question here
fits quickly. Do you like Trevor Lawrence or Jalen Hurts
in a one QB six point league six point per
bassing touchdown?
Speaker 5 (59:01):
Of course?
Speaker 1 (59:02):
Oh, I think I still like Hurts, but it definitely
is close. I see the case for Lawrence, but I
think I would still stick with Hurts.
Speaker 3 (59:11):
That's kind of the way I feel. I still like
Hurts a little more. I just think he can offer
you a little higher ceiling over the.
Speaker 4 (59:17):
Next two to three years.
Speaker 3 (59:20):
Yeah, go to Trevor Lawrence's Pro Football Reference page and
look at his passing numbers year over year.
Speaker 4 (59:25):
Really not that big a difference.
Speaker 3 (59:27):
It's not like he totally exploded this year as far
as it wasn't like a Breake May type season where
he led the league in completion percentage and yards per attempt,
like it was a nice season, but like the rushing
numbers really kind of used him up a little bit
this year, whereas with Hurts, we saw like his worst
(59:48):
rushing season in five years. And maybe maybe he rebounds
a little there, maybe he doesn't next year, but I
do think ceiling is still a little bit higher for Hurts.
Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
Quick question here, fits having a tough time with what
to do with the one ten this year. It's super flex,
no tight end premium. If he can get Matthew Golden
and Kyle mcnungui for the one ten, would you do that?
He has Skataboo and then terrible running.
Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
Backs Golden and Manong Guy for the one ten. No,
I'd want to keep the one ten Poppy.
Speaker 4 (01:00:19):
I just.
Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
I don't know that Golden is going to pan out
quite honestly. I mean, we just saw so little from him,
had a hard time getting on the fields, just didn't
make plays. And I like Manoan guy, but I don't
know what he's going to be yet. I would rather
keep the one ten, which could be a receiver like
(01:00:43):
maybe Denzel Boston or something.
Speaker 4 (01:00:45):
I would rather have the one ten.
Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
Fitz that's lightning around the final three questions in the
chat and then get out of here. Twelve team super
Flex Jade Daniels in an early twenty twenty seven second
or Jordan Love and Trayvon Henderson.
Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
Which side do you like better? Daniels on the second
or Love and Henderson?
Speaker 3 (01:01:02):
And this is close. This is really close. Do you
have a leaning here?
Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
I think it's really close too. I do not have
a strong lean. I think if you had to make
me pick, i'd.
Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
Go with Love and Henderson just because we like the
twenty twenty seven class a lot. But there's a lot
of time where it could change, you know. And I
am a big Love fan. But if you want to
say Daniels in the second, I will not fight you
at all. I think it's really close.
Speaker 4 (01:01:29):
Yeah, this is oh man. I mean, this is as
fair as it can be.
Speaker 3 (01:01:34):
I think if you forced me to make a calmness
I'd probably go with Daniels in the early twenty twenty
seven seconds. But man, I what a great trade. It's
like I could probably be talking in either side, honestly.
Speaker 1 (01:01:47):
Yeah, next question, here have the second, third, and tenth
and twelve. Who should I target the twenty twenty sixth
draft for Dynasty looking for running backs?
Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Has Skataboo and Cook.
Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
They're you know, obviously if Jeremiah Love gets to the
second pick him, but beyond that, like I like his
teammate a Notre Dame Jendarian Price. I like Jonah Coleman
out of Washington. Those are two of the ones that
immediately come to mind. We're going to dive more into
this throughout the show in the coming months. Fits this
is obvious kind of the early stages of thinking about
(01:02:18):
kind of running back you know, picks there. I wouldn't
take all running backs because I think they are gonna
be some really good receivers like m kay Lemon or
Carnel Tates.
Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
I love Carnel Tait. I really like Carnel Tait.
Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
So yeah, I think tiny Tiger's like we'll have we
did mention some of the names there. I mean, why
am I blanking on the name of the tight end
from Oregon too, who could be uh another show. Yeah,
Kenyan Sadik another potentially special tight end prospects, So we're
definitely going to have more on this, But right now,
(01:02:53):
who should I target? Like, I don't think my prospect
takes I've quite crystallized to the point where I could
give you that advice. But we're gonna be here in
the next couple of months, and I if you asked
me this question in probably two weeks, I would have some.
Speaker 4 (01:03:11):
Real strong opinions on this. So hang in there with.
Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
Us regular season just ended and uh, prospecting season is
just starting for us. But I'm gonna be grinding on
that over the next couple of weeks, So I think
all of us are going to have some more opinions
coming soon.
Speaker 1 (01:03:28):
Philosophically though, like, don't don't force yourself to take running backs.
If love's they're great. If not, like in the best
players there are receivers, be happy to take that and
maybe flip them elsewhere.
Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
But yeah, those are some names early.
Speaker 1 (01:03:40):
And then the final question here fits do I try
to flip the one oh eight for a first next
year or have the one oh seven and one O
eight and take shots at guys. I would probably flip
it because we just think so highly of the twenty
twenty seven class.
Speaker 3 (01:03:54):
What do you think, Fits, I think I would rather.
I would rather right now have the and twenty twenty
seven than the one await in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
Yeah, so I would try to flip him. Thank you
everybody for all the questions here and for the patients.
As we started a little late, we really appreciate everybody
kind of hanging around a little longer than usual. Like
I said, we're here at first Tuesday of every month,
fits us here with Bogman, third Tuesday of every month,
and our Dynasty show with the three of us is
back as of this week, So we hope everybody checks
it out all kind of off season long, but especially
(01:04:26):
the next few months where it's really fun kind of
thinking about rookie draft talk, go through Senior Bowl, combine
draft itself.
Speaker 2 (01:04:32):
It's all gonna be a blast. So I hope you
stick with us here.
Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
If it's great talking to you as always, my friend,
