Speaker 1 (00:03):
All right, and welcome into Fantasy Pros live on the
Dynasty YouTube channel. It's Tuesday, March third, and we are
in the thick of prospect season with NFL free agency
just around the corner. So we've got another Q and
A coming your way right here to take your biggest
Dynasty trade and rookie rankings questions. I'm your host, Seth Willcock,

(00:24):
coming off a morning spent adjusting the ranks for this
particular program, and of course back with me as a
man who has a deep disdain for everything Diego, Pavia,
thousand Island dressing and oversized hoodies. He's downtown, Derek Brown,
de bro, how are you on this beautiful afternoons we
get back in the Q and A streets for the
first time this season.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Yeah, dude, it's like a speaking of putting uncomfortable hoodies.
That's exactly what this feels like, dude, just settling back
up in the Q and A streets. And I would
like to I don't have a problem with oversized hoodies.
My thing is and maybe the check can clarify this
for me. I am very anti zip up hoodies, like
like I am absolutely give me a pullover hoodie. Like,

(01:07):
I'm all about that, and I know that, Like, I
think the big distinction because I've had this conversation with
my wife and with my kids and the first thing
they say is, well, I don't want to use that
because it messes on my hair. And I'm like, I
know I don't have that problem. But still, are hoodies
or is it pullovers? Where are we at today?

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Does that look?

Speaker 1 (01:27):
I am definitely a person who prefers the pullover hoodie,
but I will say I have a really nice Adidas
zip up hoodie that's great for when your bike riding
or golfing that sometimes you just gotta let it breathe
a little bit, right, Sometimes you gotta let it breathe,
feel that fresh air on the underneath. And I appreciate
that about the zip up hoodies for sure, but they're
not very stylish.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I will give you that.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Bike riding, Oh, I didn't know you were a casual
bike rider.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Casual is a strong word. Casual is a strong word.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
Once we get bring a speed and get on the trails.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
I'm ready. I'm ready. It's usually from the NFL draft
to the start of the season. I'm about a four
or five month bike rider. And then we're in the
thick of draft season. We're in the thick of the season.
I just used that as my excuse to knock bike ride.
But yeah, I've been trying to get on the peloton
trained for a while to be like Bob Harris and
all the OG's in the fancy industry. My fiance will

(02:19):
not go for it though, She's like, you're not getting
a peloton. I'm not paying the monthly service fee. So
I mean, why get a.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Peloton when you already have a biking You could just
go right.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Outside it Because I can't bike for six months out
of the year up here, Derek, I can't do it all.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Yeah, Oh the snow what what is the snow? What?
Two months as an extra we are packed on in
there somewhere that there is no snow.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Okay, we had snow in early November and we just
had snow. I woke up the snow this morning on
the ground as well, So what's that. We're a good
five months on the snow season at this point.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Well, put snow tires in that bad boy. It's all chains.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
The chains. We were just talking about the other day
that I'm so young that I don't even remember like
cars having chains on them. Like I've seen trucks, I've
seen semis with it, but I've never seen cars with
with chains on it.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Is that something you remember from your youth?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
I mean, never remember when we when we took trips
to Colorado and stuff like that. Doing that. Yeah, but
both of that not a ton Okay, speaking of old
old man conversations, I had a conversation with my kids
the other day about they do not understand living in
a world where they don't have ways or Google maps

(03:38):
or something using an actual map or somebody that was
to give you directions. It's like if you were to
explain to a younger generation of how do you get
from one place to another without your phone telling you
everywhere to go? And stuff like would you know how
to drive to the local walmart without getting lost? It's right,

(04:00):
it's kind of crazy to think about, man, No, it
absolutely is.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
And yeah, I remember traveling South with my dad grown
up and he had the old school atlas and then
eventually he evolved to printing out the map quest directions, right.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Yeah, yes, yeah, yeah, So showing your age a little
bit here, But folks, go ahead and drop your questions,
whether they are Dynasty rookie related questions, we want to
hear from you for about the next thirty five to
sixty minutes.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
We got you covered and a quicker minder to please
give this live stream a thumbs up if you enjoy
this type of content, all the shenanigans, all the fantacy
football discussion along the way, and be sure subscribe both
to the Fantasy pros dnasty YouTube channel and that audio
feed as well. If we can get to ten thousand
subscribers by the NFL Draft, we are requesting Derek Brown
to do an in and out burger review and some

(04:46):
comps maybe to an NFL player. That's hell, that's what
we're trying for here.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
No no, no, no, no, no no no. We got or something.
We got to get something more than that in and
out like a to eat in and out burger. Hell
to the.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Looks like we got our boy Kyle brandtson I don't
think the one from NFL Network, but a different Kyle
Brants the same boys. Greening's from the best side of
PA where we are Patulo lists and truly blessed go birds,
also saying I remember snow tires and swapping them out.
De bro. My dad still keeps an atlass from his
nineteen ninety seven in his.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Cottage smart man, You're dead man in the world where
you don't have internet on your phone or something, or
it goes out or your phone goes dead, could be
up a.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Great yeah without a paddle, Yes, Sir Drew checking in
with us as well. What's up? Great to see you guys.
Go and drop your questions below whatever you got for us,
and we can go ahead and talk about that. Derek,
I did want to talk a little bit though. You
and I both put out our most recent NFL mock draft,
and I just kind of wanted to compare notes there.

(05:52):
Where are you at on these wide receivers right now?
I have six going in the first round. I think
I'm kind of higher than consensus on one of those.
I had Antonio Williams sneaking into pick number thirty one
with the Patriots. I think I'm probably gonna replace him
with Omar Cooper based on Cooper's performance at the Combine.
In my next variation, were you at five wide receivers

(06:13):
in the first round? Okay? And I imagine that's pretty
much the conceptsy on the Boston, the Carnal Tate, the Lemon,
and the Tyson of the world.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Is that correct?

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Yeah, So for everybody that's not checked out my mock
draft one point zero, it's live on Fantasy Pros right
now on the homepage. And yes, just to tag on
some landing spots with these guys. At Carneal Tate going
fourth overall to the Tennessee Titans. Every Titans fan has
told me there's no way in hell that happened. Say, okay,
bet I had Mkayle Lemon going to the Saints at

(06:45):
eighth overall. Okay, he's a wild card. I could see
him going top ten. I could see Mikaye Limons like
that board. We can discuss that in a second. Then
I had Jordan Tyson going twenty one to the Steelers,
Casey Concepcion going to the Cleveland Browns. Uh can tell
Boston sliding to the Buffalo Bills. And I think that

(07:06):
rounds at the top five. But yeah, dude, like I
think I don't see a sixth wide receiver getting into
the first round. Now, could I be wrong with that?
It's definitely possible. I just look at a lot of
those other teams and like, this kind of goes back
to like, Okay, maybe a team and I got to
pull up the the draft order. But the only way

(07:28):
I could see that happening is like if a team
trades up from the top of the second round into
the back end of the first round, that they could.
They could. But the other thing is that they also
could use off line help. They could also use edge help,

(07:48):
like there are also other needs on that team. And
the other thing about it is, if you're New England,
why do you go out and do that if you're
gonna trade for somebody?

Speaker 3 (07:57):
Yeah, good point. Good point that is that is understand
Do you.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Think it's plausible that Omar Cooper gets into the first round? Like,
are you ten toes down on that?

Speaker 1 (08:05):
I'm not ten toes down on that, but I think
it's definitely worth a possibility. And you know, if he's
floating out there, I think anywhere between seven to one
or longer when that to be a first round pick
market releases, I will be taking a shot at it.
I think I've just been seeing him get steamed up
there by some other people in the industry that I
really really respect myself. I think he's more of a

(08:26):
second round pick, but I mean, I you players to me,
I think they're gonna be really, really steamed up, just
based on the fact that, hey, this is a team
that just had one of the best college football seasons,
arguably one of the best sports seasons. When you just
kind of remove the factor of college football with it,
I think, I think it's possible.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
What I think is is, I mean, if you're looking at,
you know, possible teams, like if Tennessee doesn't go with
a receiver at four, I mean you're looking at a
lot of these teams the top of the second round
and where that scenario could take place. The Jets are
at thirty three, the Tennessee Titans are at thirty five,
the Raiders are at thirty six, even the Giants at
thirty seven. I don't think they bring Wando Robinson back.

(09:09):
He's looking like he's gonna have a really strong market.
I don't think they should bring Rondell Robinson back. Like,
if you're just trying to replace his skill set, just
go draft whoever your favorite slot archetype of this. Antonio Williams,
Tonya Williams, Yeah, Zakaria Branch, You're yeah, any one of
those three guys. Go draft them in like the the

(09:30):
late second or the third round, and then fine, you don't.
You're not paying a similar player twenty million dollars a year,
so you know, I could see it happen, and I
think it's on the low end of probability. Okay, we'll
see what the line is. I think I think you
are spot on with the line. Like, if we do
get one of the props of over under wide receivers
in the first round, it's probably gonna be five, right, yep.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Yeah, And if it's five and a half, I'm probably
just not betting it because I could see someone if
it's four and a half.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Even with the Matt I might take get smashed one
minus one ten or something like that.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
I'll probably I'm smashing four and a half. If that's
the line. That'd be very very generous, folks. A real
quick reminder before I'm seeing you some more questions coming
in before we jump into those.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
A reminder that if you want.

Speaker 1 (10:12):

over here. Giveaways starting off hot on the Dynasty Fancy
Pros YouTube channel as well as the questions. First one
here from Alex twelve team one quarterback, four flex spots.

(10:54):
I have the one ten in my rookie draft this year?
What running back should I target? Raide the one ten? Four?

Speaker 3 (11:02):
So I currently have James.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
Cook and some scrubs, so looking potentially to trade out
of that one ten spot to find a veteran?

Speaker 3 (11:10):
Is that a smart move here?

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Derek sounds like Alex might be in a win now
position if he's coming and has that tenth pick on merit,
So is there any running back you think that's worth
a late first round currently.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
I think so if you're gonna stick and pick. Now
he's talking about it like trading the pick, but like
if if Jadarium Price or Mike Washington get that second
or third round, like capital really good landing spot. Yeah,
I mean I would honestly probably stick and pick. But again,
you know we're doing this in the blind, and I
think the draft capital for all those running backs is

(11:44):
gonna be all over the mat behind Jeremiah Love. So
we shall see. Now as far as giving the one ten,
I think because of the narrative around this class, people
are not gonna want the back into the first round
in these.

Speaker 1 (11:55):
Parts, specifically in a one quarterback.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
As well exactly, and so it's gonna be devalued. So
you're gonna have to go out and probably either do
one of two things. Go trade for somebody with maybe
a little bit of risk and their their stock is down.
Like I'm not saying it's possible, but it's possible in
some leagues, And maybe you can get Bucky Irving. Yeah
for the one ten. It's probably because he still has

(12:20):
a lot of that love still on him. The guy
that I honestly think that is undervalued the most here,
and then I think you probably could get the one
ten four And I'm curious your thoughts, Seth, but tell
me you wouldn't do the one ten for freaking Javonte
Williams right now? I think a lot of his price
is still going to be very depressed based off of
previous years. The fact that he was an RB one

(12:42):
in Fantasy last year was very hyper efficient. He got
a three year deal. Now, even if you probably go
pull up the contract money, that's a little two year
deal probably, But yeah, he's young. So what is stopping
Javonte Williams from being an RB one in Fantasy in
a wonderful return on the one ten and a one
QB league? Man? Like, am I wrong with that? No?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
I don't think you're wrong at all. The big question
for me is like, hey, let's let's give it a week,
Let's see what the contract's going to be. Let's make
sure that he is going to land back in Dallas.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
And well, you already got a three year deal.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Oh did he really hear?

Speaker 2 (13:15):
Twenty yeah, three year, twenty four millions?

Speaker 3 (13:17):
When did this happen?

Speaker 2 (13:19):
This apparently why you were.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Oh man, oh man, I step away for a second
and all of a sudden.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yeah, three years and twenty four million from the Cowboys,
and I'm pulling up the structure right now, So it
looks like, I mean, this is this is basically this
is a this is exactly what I thought it was.
It's a two year deal with a third like they
can get out at this age twenty eight season if
they chose to, but still enough to where I mean,
he's locked in for the next two years as their

(13:48):
clear lead back. So the clear lead back for the
Dallas Cowboys for the next two years, you're given the
one ten for that set.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Oh man, I would rather pause it rather pivot to
someone younger. In that same tearly a camp scataboo, I
think that, like, that's just where my mind.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
You want to go. I'll hold a hold a hold up,
you want to go draft the one or trade the
one ten for yes, with a new head coach, did
not draft him. There is talk of they might draft
Jeremiah Love and there is also talk they might go
sign Ken Walker in free agency. So you're gonna draft
a first round pick for a guy that is also
coming off an injury.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Hey, that's so, I mean Javonte is only a couple
of years removed from an acl too, so like, but.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
He's healthy, he's got the deal.

Speaker 1 (14:32):
Dude, I know, but that doesn't stop the cowboys from
investing in a in a you know, day two running back?

Speaker 2 (14:37):
What another Jaden Blue I worried about?

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Okay, hold on on, like Seth McGowan or someone goes there,
I'd be pretty tempting.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Okay, what about what if it's Jamary Taylor. What if
it's Adam Randall. What if it's Levy On Moss, Jim Miller,
Rashan Faizon, what if it's Demon Claimhorne, Roman himby Okay,
what if it's your boy k Tron Allen, Well.

Speaker 3 (14:58):
If it's my boy you, I would be worried.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
I would be worried if I was a Javante manager
if k Tron's thrown around their similar player in my mind.
But yeah, no, I.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
You're you're worried about them timings forty with a Hey, dude, he's.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
He's checking boxes. Hey, he at least ran he was
checking some boxes out there, so.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Hey, check them very slowly, but yes, he does check.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
Yeah, apparently, I don't know what I was doing. I
just yeah, I don't know what I was doing a
week and a half ago when that Javonte news came
across my feet, because apparently I just disregarded it. Apparently
I've been holding out hope, like.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
I think that's what that might have happened when you
were on the ski slot.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Ooh okay, okay, yeah that would make sense. Actually, my
knee still a little banged up from that. Actually, I
don't even need to go on IR to start the season.
I think I'm gonna start on the POP. I think
that's that's where I'm heading this year.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
You call and you call me.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
Let's get the super chat here from a friend see
j po ten, what's up? See appreciate the the super
chat here? Hey boys? Quick Dynasty one quarterback PPR question.
Would you trade Scary ten Garry McLaurin a twenty twenty
six two oh three pick and a twenty twenty seven
first uh plus another twenty twenty seven first so two

(16:08):
twenty twenty seven first I think for CD LAMB plus
the twenty twenty six one oh one and a twenty
twenty seven second. So McLaurin a second two first for
CD the one oh one and a.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Twenty twenty seven. Second, what do you think here, Derek?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
All Right, So the way that I break this down
is to get CD that's basically gonna cost you the
two twenty seven first.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
Hmm.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
So then what you're paying McLaurin and a two oh
three for Jeremiah Love and basically let's just wash the
second sea. Yeah, so you're paying McLaurin for Jeremiah Love. Yeah,
give me the CD LAMB side. Like the thing about
it is, dude, this is the time if you want
to trade McLaurin away, you need to do it, and

(16:56):
you need to do it now. Like he's on the
all wrong side of the age curve. I don't think
the people realize how old he really is. And I
think you're paying fair market price for CD Lamb. Maybe
somebody could say it's aggressive, but a top five dynasty
wide receiver in a really good freaking spot, especially if
anything does happen to George Pickens and he moves on
after a year, Like yeah, give me that all freaking day.

(17:19):
And the other thing about it is like, I mean,
however you flip this. The CD LAMB side is coming
out way ahead in my estimation because Jeremiah Love is
going to cost you the two first. Yeah, if you
wanted to flip this on its head, two first to
get up to the freaking one oh one. Like, then
you're paying the two oh three and McLaurin for freaking
CD Lamb and you're getting a second one a second on.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Top of that.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Hell yeah, this is smashed. Yeah, you smash this freaking trade,
and you take it before the person wakes up for
the drunken stupor that apparently they had at three am
when they sent.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
You this deal. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
See, this is my type of deal because you're acquiring
high end assets. You're you know, going after a proven
commodity like Ceedee Lamb and then getting the player in
this twenty twenty six Clive that has the most upside.
So I'm absolutely here for it. I do hate giving
away twenty twenty seven. First, I'm gonna be honest with you, Derek,
but more in superflex because not only you're gonna get

(18:10):
Jeremiah Smith and a bevy of good wide receivers, but
I mean this quarterback class I think next year. I
mean we said that about this quarterback class as well, So.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
Hold on, hold on. I was fixing to say, so,
hold up, if we we fast forward year, Arch has
a down year, Seller still looks incredibly raw, and he's
in that Anthony Richardson conversation and Mateer is kay, but
not amazing coming off the injury. And it's like Dante
More regresses a little bit. And then is everybody buzzing

(18:41):
about this quarterback class if all those things happen? And
for everybody that says that that can't happen, I offer
up Garrett Nasmeyer as evidence. I offer up Cade Club
nick As, I offer up Drew Allard as evidence, and
I even offer up Arch Manning as evidence because we
all thought he was gonna smash and come out in
this class and that didn't happen. So for everybody like

(19:03):
salivating over next year's quarterback class, dude, that's that's all
up in the air, Like it's it's absolutely up in
the air. So I'm gonna take the value that I'm
being presented with right here and just run away just
laughing my butt all.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
No, I'm absolutely here for and I totally understand. I
think I sometimes get a little over in my skis
for uh, you know, these future players that could just
come in and really take over. Specifically, like these quarterbacks,
I will say, like, you know, you mentioned all the
big names, but there's guys like Sam Levitt who goes
to a Lane Kiffin offense at LSU. If I had

(19:36):
to pick right now and we're drafting for next season,
sam Levitt's my one oh one, like in a super
flex format for twenty twenty seven rookies.

Speaker 3 (19:44):
I think he's that good.

Speaker 1 (19:44):
You've julianed Sane out of Ohio State, Jade Mayeva at
USC will give him another year. You got Shambliss going
back to yeah shambless, Brendan Soresby, you just got paid
an absolute lucrative deal to go to Texas Text, So yeah,
there's a lot, but you are right, a lot of
things can happen. Injuries can happen, and just disappointing seasons
can happen. So with that being said, see I'd still

(20:04):
take this deal specifically because this is a one quarterback league,
so you'll still be able to potentially replenish that position
later on at a good deal. So love that question,
love the super chat. Thank you so much for that,
my friend. And let's go ahead and jump into this
one from AF seven to nine to one. Hey, gens
got a super flex Dinace League with the one oh one?
Do I go Love or Mendoza? I've heard I have

(20:27):
Trevor Lawrence, I have Malik Willis at quarterback, Bijon Hampton
Breeze and Bill for running backs. Uh, got an idea,
but Love your two cents appreciate you? So, Derek, who
is your one oh one in a super flex format
and does the landscape of what a a ATF's team
here change that at all for you?

Speaker 2 (20:46):
Nope, it's Love. He's the one oh one. And I
think you look at all the quarterbacks that you have, Hurts,
Teela and Willis, You're You're absolutely fine. And I mean
really like, if you take Mendoza, what are you doing
with your quarterback room? One of those guys is not
hitting your starting lineup, So like, what are you gonna do?
Are you gonna take take Mendoza and then trade Willis?

(21:07):
But you're probably not gonna get as much as you
want because people are gonna say they're gonna have the
hesitation and they're gonna throw the justin Field stuff in
your face? So like, are you gonna trade t law
But his market is probably extremely volatile. I mean just
look back to the Jordan Love of every year where
it was like he caught fire and he hasn't done
the same thing since. So for me, no, this is
take Jeremiah Love. This is easy to take Jeremiah Love.

(21:29):
And for the running backs that you have, I mean,
you're gonna be stocked, dude, especially with like you're playing with,
and especially if this is atf if this is a
league where not only is it super flex, but depending
on how many flex spots that you have in your league,
Like if this is a two or three flex league, dude,
You're you're starting Bjon Hampton and then you're filling out

(21:51):
possibly two flex spots with Breeze Hall and freaking Jeremiah Love,
Like yeah, yeah, I mean that's just murderers row dude,
No take Love. Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Can I present a counter option?

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Absolutely you can.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
I would consider Can I trade back to the one
on two take whether Lover Mendoza go, because to me,
they're in the same tier. And then at that point,
I'm still Malik Willis that we were just doing a
Fantasy Pros Group article. They'll be out on the website
next week for Dynasty, and I'm trading Malik Willis for
an early second Like, that's pretty much my plan here.
Let's consolidate and then can I maybe get into the

(22:26):
back half the first or an early second round where
I can go get an Eli Stowers, where I can
go get a Jonah Coleman or Mike Washington junior, or
in my case of k Tron Allen, build another running
back depth through there. Let me trade back one pick
in that first round. See, because I do understand why
you would have love over Mendoz and a lot of
people I think that is becoming the consensus in super flex. However,

(22:49):
I still love Mendoza, man, it's hard for me to
pass him up at the top of the draft.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
I love him too, but considering the quarterback room they
already have, considering Mendoza is not a guy that's gonna run,
So he's gonna have to throw and throw a ton
and throw a lot of passing touchdowns to be even
a QB one.

Speaker 1 (23:07):
Like he can boots scoot a little bit, he can
boot school like a Trevor Lawrence.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Your fever dream for Mendoza is QB what in Dynasty?
What do you think like if he hits and he
hits in a massive way. He becomes QB what in
dinas next year are we talking a year from now? Yeah,
next year, a year from now, fast forty years, KB five, Hey,
we're QB five. So Josh Allen, Drake May Daniels. Then

(23:34):
it kind of gets wong. Jane Daniels, Daniels ja Jalen hurts, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (23:39):
I think he's in that. I would think he'd be
in that second tier then. Okay, but but that but
that is the fever dream, right that is that is
hitting ceilings.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
So that's him, that's him coming out and having a
c J. Stroud type of Yeah, that's what it is.
And for everybody like be kind rewind remember the rookie
season that c J. Stroud had. When we're discussing this
now what he's doing in the last two years, I
understand it's been incredibly disappointing what he did in his
rookie season.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Yeah, I got a lot of sellers, remorse. I had
a lot of CJ. Stroud after his rookie season when
he was sitting around you know, Dynasty QB four, QB
two and a lot of people's rankings, and I didn't
move him. And I've kind of been stuck in this
lame duck era of a couple of teams because he
can't get me over the hump in the playoffs. So yeah,
I understand that totally. Before we keep it moving with
some more questions, another reminder that if you guys want

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Who's who's hanging around with us?

Speaker 1 (25:06):
And I'm seeing we have some some familiar faces like
Bam Bam Branson checking in as well now going by
his uh.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
His official name, Kyle Branson.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Yeah, he's getting it. He's getting for sure. He was
speaking of Bam Bam. He's got a question for us, Derek,
do you trade a package of a two ten try
to go after Shuck as my quarterbacks are hurt and
bo Nicks to get some depth, or do I try
to get a guy like Alur or whoever falls just
to pan out I won the title last year. I
would say, like bottom line, Derek, I'm not taking our

(25:39):
Alur or any of these quarterbacks at the two ten.
I wouldn't mind mess around Simpson at the one ten.
That's probably as far as I go, But any of
these other quarterbacks, like, I'm not taking until like the
fortieth pick in my super flex drafts for rookies.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
We have to see where draft capital shakes out for
I'm I'm firmly on the the never Tye Simpson train. Nope,
you can miss me with it. Nope, nope, nope. Not
taking him at first, not taking him at second.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
What if he goes to the Rams? What if he
goes to the Rams?

Speaker 2 (26:10):
That's don't I really don't care.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
Like there's no.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
Team, there's no team, no landing spot.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
No, wow, this is like a guinea pick att situation.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Okay, I've just what. He's got little hands, he's got
big hands, he's got big meat.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Stirs, dude, It's just I I'm not in on him.

Speaker 1 (26:30):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
So further, when we get to the quarterback episode and
when I get my primers live and stuff, everything I
see on film from ty Simpson is he hangs on
his first read. The accuracy is okay, but it's not great.
He will leave clean pockets. He stares down his first read.
He looks slow through progressions. He's a pocket passer that

(26:51):
that doesn't always win from the pocket. The ball placement's
not amazing. The arm is just average. Everybody talks about
his mechanics, and his mechanics look great at the combine
when he's not throwing with rushers coming at him. In
the game, his mechanics are fine, but they're they're supporting
a quarterback that is just not worthy of a first
round grade. For me, I'm just not with it. Like,

(27:13):
none of these things that in the shortcomings of ty
Simpson's game get better when you improve the competition at
the NFL level and the game gets faster. Yeah, and
you have to go through full field reads and what
have you. So no people can miss me with ty Simpson.
As far as giving the two ten for Tyler Shuck, yeah,
I would complude to do that. I mean, you're looking

(27:33):
at like, you know, and I think this class is
better than a lot of people are giving it credit for.
But we can also still talk about, like, depending on
landing spots and draft capital tied to a lot of
these players, that it might be a shallow class and
kind of top heavy as far as rookies and stuff
like that, where you're saying, Okay, do I trade up
and then new do I try to trade up and

(27:54):
get like an extra fourth or a late third, and
then I go take shots and throat toss darts on
players kind of the no man's land. So if you
can get a starting quarterback that was putting up basically
top twelve fantasy production at the back half of last
season with the two ten, I would absolutely make that move.
In super flex.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
Yeah, I'm totally cool with that.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
I right now have in my mock draft that I
just put out, Derek, I have the Saints taking Carnal
Tate in the first round. So like maybe Tate doesn't
get there, but even if it's a Jordan Tyson, if
they can add another weapon there, give them that little
bit of a downfield presence they kind of missed out
on after they shipped out Rashid Shahid. I think Tyler
Shuck's ceiling just continues to rise here, and he's at

(28:35):
least gonna get one more year and we'll see what
happens then in twenty twenty seven with that class coming out.
But yeah, I'm here for that as well.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Bam bam.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (28:43):
We got Tots takes coming on. I don't even know
if Tea read that for me. What's that screen name?

Speaker 3 (28:51):
T toxic? Te toxic?

Speaker 1 (28:53):
Is that's an right? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (28:54):
I think it's right.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
I'm just gonna call it. I'm just gonna short at
the toime. Okay, Tots, I'm not even can't I I
butchered this creen?

Speaker 1 (29:01):
You like Tater Tots?

Speaker 3 (29:02):
You Tater Tots?

Speaker 2 (29:03):
My guy? Oh dude, okay, hold on, what's let's frame
this properly? Is there anybody out there that's not a
TOTS person?

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Chat?

Speaker 3 (29:13):
Can you?

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Is there any is there anybody that really dislikes Tots? Seriously,
put your hand up. They I mean, come on.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Show, let's get a pool going, just get a pull going.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
How how can anybody dislike tater tots? Man? Like, what
where did tater tots wrong? Somebody like what like school caffete?
You're growing up and you ate a mushie one and
you said never.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Yeah, if you do have some undercooked tots, though it's
not the best. If I'm being like you need him
golden Brown, I know.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
But bad enough to where you're like you just swear
off over the rest.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
That's fair. I just I just saw a video on
YouTube earlier today. It was a guy who made tater
tots and you put like cheese steak over it. Oh
it looked good, Oh it looked good. I was there.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
Yeah, I had a little bit of case.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Chilly cheese tots. Baby chili cheese tots are under.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
But totts is asking J S N Or Dart? Uh
plus the one oh one?

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Well, huh okay, so is it? It's J S N
or Dart in the one oh one? Got it? I
would take Dart in the one O one? Assuming this
is super flex.

Speaker 3 (30:18):
Yeah, I would, because.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
You're giving me dark, You're giving me a probably a
top twelve quarterback for Fantasy next year. I understand we're
all worried about Matt Naggy, but that they worry about
Matt Naggy's the only reason you're getting Dart thrown into
this deal. There's a lot of people that would just
do this deal. Like there, Tell all right, tell me this, seth.
Do you think a lot of people would just accept
this deal if it's JSN for Jeremiah Love basically, or

(30:42):
JSN for for me Mendoza.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
To me, Dart pushes this over. It's the Yeah, yeah,
I think with the upside he gives in.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
And if you wanted to take Mendoza and rebuild your
entire quarterback room on draft, that's fine. I'm totally fine
with that. Yeah, fine with that. However you want to go.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
This is a This is a smash for me. I
really really like that. Here is one from ATF as well.
Got the one oh seven in the one to twelve
in a super flex tight end premium league as well.
If I package together both those picks with players, who
can I target a tight end and or quarterback or
do I stay and target someone like Ty Simpson, Sadik,
et cetera. I don't hate the one oh seven, Derek.

(31:20):
This is a place for me where I think the draft.
There's definitely a tier break to me after the first
six picks, But I'm fine with sticking and picking and
grabbing someone like Sadiq, like Simpson, like stours A, Casey
conceptscy on Boston. Kind of. I do like that tier
the one twelve. That's where it kind of gets a
little dicey. I do think there's another falloff after the

(31:41):
first eleven in super flex, because then you're like, Okay,
we're picking between these running backs or likely these day
two wide receivers. But would you rather stay in pick
or would you rather maybe try to package those and
move up and see if you can't go get yourself
a one o two or one oh three, maybe the
one on one.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
If you could package those and move up the for
like the one oh one of the top three picks,
then I we can sell, okay, because I look at
the top end, high end difference makers of this this
this class, and it's love Mendoza and Carnal Tait. Now,

(32:18):
if you wanted to put CDC and put that up
to the one oh four, fine depends on how much
the tight end premium is, but I'm probably not drafting
a tight end that high. I just that's not how
I play dynasty. I think this kind of depends on
what the value you can get out of these first
because again, like with the all the narratives floating around
this class and those two late first, the value of

(32:39):
that league to league is gonna be quite different. A
lot of people are going to have just stay the
one o seven that at least at the one oh seven,
then a lot of different leagues they're going to get
access to either one of those top five wide receivers
or Kenyon Cid yea. And so with that, I'm more
likely to hold on to that pick and see if

(32:59):
may during the draft itself, I can upgrade that and
go get a guy that I really like, maybe a
little bit over consensus, like say Mikaya Lemon falls and
he's your wide receiver one of the class. Okay, fine,
trade up a spot or two and go get yeah
for the one twelve. The quarterbacks you're probably living in, Like,

(33:20):
would you trade the one twelve for Dak Prescott rock Party.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
Yeah, I think that's probable that I would do that.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
Yeah, I would do that because both of them are
QB one yeah, and Fantasy and then Superflex, Like I
would do that.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Long runways too, Like, I know Dak's getting up there
in age, but I still feel like he is a
pretty good runway, whether it's with the Cowboys or somewhere
else in the future.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
And Brock Party, I certainly think has a runway as well.
So I like that.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
I mean, he's thirty two, dude, he's thirty two.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
He feels like an old thirty two.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Though he does feel like an old thirty two.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
I get that, but like we also like he's thirty two.
And the thing that I'm like, I feel like just
that dynasty in general is like people are like, oh,
but this quarterback, I want to have this quarterback of
this wide receiver on my roster for the next like
seven yeah years and stuff like that. And I'm like,
my problem with that type of thinking is could that happen?

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Sure, if you're in an active dynasty league, there's no
way in hell nine times out of ten that you
still have your rostering a player in six years from now. Yeah,
you're probably training some guy and what have you. Can
it happen? Sure? Is that? Usually the way that it
goes that you have all these players on your roster
for six freaking years.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Help Yeah, no, yeah, absolutely?

Speaker 1 (34:36):
Uh Derek. Before we get some more questions for the
fine people out there on the internet, a reminder that

All right, let's fire up some more questions here for
the fine people out there. No mustache not coming back
right now.

Speaker 3 (36:39):
Bam bam.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
We got the wedding in just about three months from now,
so I gotta hang out, no stash, but maybe afterwards.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Sounds like long enough to grow ahead.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
I heard we got Jamie and the chat asking is
col Payton gonna be y'all's quarterback two in this class? Derek,
I will refrain from this conversation. You are the nds
U booster for the program. Any thoughts on cold Peyton
that maybe not everyone has heard before, or maybe they.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Have nord to goo to state? I'm still waiting for
all my merch. I will happily, happily wear all all
things and everything. No, but seriously, man like they churn
out good prospects. You know, I wasn't a Trey Lance fan,
but I am a cold Peaton fan and yes right
now and just again transparency and keeping it, keeping it

(37:31):
a hondo here. I still have to watch beck Aller
and club Nick right now. But as it stands right now,
as we're discussing this and I'm waiting through do I
I got to get through a few more evals and
stuff like that before. If anybody out there is looking
for my rookie rankings, They're not live on the site yet.
I'm still tinkering and getting and building all these profiles

(37:54):
and stuff and writing up players. But as it stands
right now, Fernando Banos obviously is my QB one, Cole
Payton is my QB two of this class, and Garrett
Nasmyer is my QB three.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
Okay, Okay, I've gonehim up to QB nine, so you've
been you've been moving me.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Uh I'm me thirteen for everybody that that just watching
this at home, QB thirteen.

Speaker 1 (38:16):
And now he's up to nine aster.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
Now he's up to night.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
I jumped him for spots Derek after the combine.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
So when he gets drafted in the third round or
the set, okay, let's let's talk my fever dream. If
he goes in the late second round where you gonna
push him to there.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
Hi, I just don't. I just don't see it.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
I just it's the one year starter in FCS thing
that I can't get over.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
And I just I, oh, oh, but we're gonna talk
about the one year starter in ty Simpson. Oh but
he he played in the SEC. But he did when
your starter correct?

Speaker 1 (38:47):
Yeah, but he did, he did play in the SEC. Yeah, absolutely,
And look, look quite rough.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
I'm playing Ryan Grubb. Let's go ahead to this next
question as well.

Speaker 1 (38:58):
Uh. I think it was a great one from Tyler
Robson six, ZHO nine eight. Any particular players who had
a down year that you're looking to buy for this
upcoming season in Dynasty? For me, Derek gets Caleb Johnson.
This is a guy who know Arthur Smith. No, Mike Tomlin.
Now we're gonna get a fresh chance, right, We're gonna
get a fresh chance for a guy out here in
Caleb Johnson. Who. Hey, we know that big Mike McCarthy

(39:20):
can use some power backs. He's also on the over
a year removed away from leading the Big Ten in
rushing yards twenty one plus total touchdowns for him as
well in twenty twenty four with the hot gys. So
I like Caleb Johnson. Like I've been floating around early
third round picks, I would float around late seconds for
him as well. Like I'm in here on Caleb Johnson,
he thoughts on him or anyone else that you're potentially

(39:42):
looking to buy low for the upcoming season, Debro.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
I like the Caleb Johnson call, and that was just
my first question to you was gonna be what are
you paying for him? Because that's what everybody's gonna ask
some guys that jump out to me, I would give
up a late second and go get Basel toot And
I think Travis et And is gone, and I think
that price is just going to go up. Could the
Jaguars draft another running back? It's possible, but probably not

(40:09):
Jonathan Brooks. People aren't talking about right now. I would
go give that third for Jonathan Brooks. Cuba Hubbard is
not good. I think he is massively overrated. Jonathan Brooks.
We still have a second round draft capital. If the
dude is healthy, he can take over this backfield. And
for everybody's said that that can't happen. You did all
see what happened with Rico Dawdle last year. Right, we

(40:31):
all experienced it, right, Hubbard losing his job to a
guy on a one year deal. Okay, cool, I'm just
want to make sure we're all world here. Ricky Piersoll,
Brandon Ayuk is gone, They don't resign Jwan Jennings. Maybe
they draft rookie but he walks into and George Kittle
coming off torn Achilles. Yes, please, I would go out

(40:53):
there and kick the tires on Christian Watson. I think
Romeo Dobbs is gone. They gave Watson the one year deal.
I think that he is going to walk in and
be their defecto wide receiver. One. Yeah, I like that
call that was producing as a top fifteen wide receiver
did the back half of last year. If you wanted
to go like the veteran kind of route, McLaurin makes sense,

(41:14):
but you've got to be a win now team for it.
And I'll even tell us, like, go take a flyer
on Brandon. I you, yeah, like there's all these teams
that need a wide receiver. One. If he goes to
New England, if he goes to Buffalo, then you're gonna
get in for way cheaper than you will in a
month or two when he gets traded.

Speaker 3 (41:35):
Great point.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
Great point there, Nate. I'm seeing a question you have
about a keeper league. We'll circle back to that. But
let us know is that a keeper league where d
pick matters? Like if you took Drake May in the
tenth round? Do you have to use a tenth round
to get him back? They? Just let us know on that.
We'll circle back around to you, my friend, once some
clarification there. Let's get to Ian though longtime watcher, never

(41:56):
commented before.

Speaker 3 (41:58):
Oh well, Ian, they you welcome me in.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
Absolutely, man, great to have a long time listener, first
time commentary.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:04):
Absolutely, pull up a chair man, Glad you're here. I
appreciate you, guys, appreciate you as well. Ian twelve team
super flex two running back three wide receiver trade CD
for Dart and Kenneth Walker. Did I win? Also? Should
I package the two O seven to two O nine
the two twelve? I have wide receiver depth already, So Derek,
I think we're getta lok too cute trying to package

(42:26):
all those late seconds. I don't know what that's really
gonna bring you back. That might be equal to that,
but I do agree that did.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
You get a lad first? Could you get a late first?
With all those late second? Could you get a laid first?

Speaker 1 (42:37):
Are you like I'm not accepting that, Like I'm not
I'm not taking.

Speaker 2 (42:40):
Well, hold on, hold on. It comes down to if
they're because every league has one of these teams. Every
team as one of these rebuild teams, one of these
teams that is perpetually rebuilding or they've torn it down
to you know, non studs, like it is just mothball
and nothing there and it's all either picks or the

(43:02):
rebuilding for a year or two from now. So could
you get could you give those three seconds up or
a team that's trying to rebuild and maybe go get
like a twenty seven first?

Speaker 1 (43:13):
Oh wow, that would maybe I would love to take
the dice roll. I would love to take the dice roll. Yeah, yeah,
I think that's a great Maybe. What about this trade?
Would you trade CD for Dart and Kenneth Walker? I
think it's fine. It's not something I would like love
to do personally.

Speaker 2 (43:29):
Wise, Yeah, it's fine value wise, because again, if you're
looking at just just transposing this into pick value, Dart's
gonna take you like a first and maybe a second
to get in a superflex format, Kenneth Walker, you're paying
a first for him, So essentially you just got a
two first and a second back for CD Lamb. That's fine,
especially in super flex format, like obviously, like that's that's

(43:51):
a fine return. You just need Kenneth Walker to end
up getting the bag from some team and walk away
as the clear workhorse running back. Seattle is probably not
gonna bring in back. They didn't franchise tag him. I
don't see them ponying up. I mean, dude, they're They're
a team that could easily draft a running back. Yeah,
in this upcoming class. Charbonay coming off of it that
they got money, but do they spend it on any

(44:12):
of these guys the agency. I don't see that happening.
So Kenneth Walker is gonna get the bag from somebody.
I fully believe that, whether you want to send it
to the Giants, yes please, or anywhere else you know, Houston.
With the David Montgomery trade, I think it's very very
telling of how how teams are looking at this running
back class, in the sense that the freaking Lions got

(44:36):
a fourth round pick and plus for David freaking Montgomery
man like that is Brad Holmes, I bow down, sir,
I humbly kneel at your feet.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
But it's a good trade to Houston too, right Like,
it's a good trade for Houston in my mind because
I think him and like he is what they wanted
Nick Chubb to be a year ago, right like that,
That is kind of the role he's going to play,
is that early thumper. And I think having an experienced
running back who's been in big games before, whether that's
in his time in Chicago or Detroit, I think it's
a great move. So I'm here for and Kyle asking

(45:10):
for a little bit of expansion on that Monty moved
to Houston. Would you be holding Dave Montgomery or would
you maybe try to move off him to upgrade on
this recent hype? What are you thinking? Because I've been
seeing people really all over the place on the Woody
versus Monty debate.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
There is no debate. Woody Marks is not as good
as David Montgomery, even at this point of his career,
like pull up any single metric. Like I wrote about
this yesterday on fantasypros dot Com. I had the article
out like thirty minutes after the news dropped. And for
everybody that's out there, I'm filibustering as I'm going to
pull up this article, but for everybody out there, I
mean literally, you can go down the the page here

(45:52):
explosive run rate. David Montgomery is better than Woody Marx
miss tackles force pretent Dave Montgomery Barrris with Marks rushing
success rate. Again, David Montgomery is better yards of the
contact per a ten. David Montgomery's better yards per route run.
Woody Marks is supposedly a passing die back. Oh look
at that. David Montgomery's better. So David Montgomery will own
this backfield next year Like this is a Joe Mixon

(46:13):
could flirt with three hundred touches type of situation. And
so for Montgomery, he's past the apex. Yeah, he's not
a sexy name. I think anybody out there now in
the social media streets, everybody's gonna tell you sell HI
to David Montgomery. In the real world, that's not gonna happen. Yeah,
because every single person in your league is gonna say, dude,

(46:37):
you really expected me to go pay for what a
twenty how old is he? Twenty eight year old running back?
What are you hoping to get back for that a
late second, a twenty seven second? Yeah, getting that pick value,
You're just not so for me. It's hold David Montgomery

(46:59):
and if you want to get out of David Montgomery
and Dynasty, you do it during the season because if
he's getting that type of volume in that role, he's
gonna be a top fifth.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
It's like Javonte Year in fantasy.

Speaker 2 (47:12):
Yes, then you exchange out for the value. Then in
season you go sell him to a contender or somebody
on the cusp and you say, hey, here's bonte, give
me your twenty seven second or this close. You could
go say, hey, give me a twenty eight first or
something like that. You probably get in that. No, but
you can at least knock on the door, and in
these that's maybe a return you're getting. You try to

(47:33):
sell him right now, people are just gonna rebuff you
and say I'm giving you a third, and you're gonna say, ah,
I'm not taking a third for him. Sell him in
season if you're gonna get rid of David Montgomery.

Speaker 3 (47:42):
Yep, that's the I completely agree with you there.

Speaker 1 (47:45):
Speaking of agreement, do we have a result on that
to your top pool, Seth, let let's pull that up.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
I am curious where there any times.

Speaker 2 (47:53):
It's gotta be one hundred percent, dude, there's always someone
who likes to be the opposite person in a pool though.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
You know that sometimes that person if if I know
there's a chance that I might be the one person
on the other side of the fence, I might click
that button, Derek, I might be that guy, even if
I don't believe it.

Speaker 3 (48:09):
I'll talk myself into.

Speaker 2 (48:10):
French fries, potato tot Seth, which one?

Speaker 3 (48:12):
What kind of French fries?

Speaker 1 (48:14):
Fresh cut curly your favorite type? Fresh cut? Fresh cut
fries or fresh cut potato? You know the fresh cut
like chips. I like those as well. Yeah, what about
you fries fries over tops.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
I'm very picky about fries, dude. Like fries get done
so wrong in so many different places. I will not
eat them if they're like softer, Sonny, Like, I'm crunchy
fries all the way, and I think the consistency And
this is where it comes back to me, and I'm
a texture guy. When I'm eating the consistency of the
crunch lies with the top.

Speaker 3 (48:46):
Yes, yes, yes, I do. One of my fair even the.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Best cut fries, you're gonna get some soggy ones and
stuff like. And there is no setup of fries where
you ever get one hundred crunchy fries for consistency of
the crunch. It's the tots Man.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
So the best way, one of the best Derek Brown
stories ever is we're down New We're down in New
Orleans and the waiter looks at him. He orders a
burger and he says potato to Derek, like with a question,
and Derek says fries. And the guy the guys like,
we don't have fries, and he's like, what kind of potato?
It was just a bit. He's just at we were
getting baked potatoes with the burgers. But but none of

(49:25):
us knew that. And and the way he said it,
and the way Derek said fries back to him, you
would have thought this guy like he saw a ghost
or something.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
He walked up to me and he stared at me
for a second and he goes potato and I was
like patato Like I was like, uh, I thought he
was like what kind of potato?

Speaker 1 (49:46):
That's what That's how I took it to I was like.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
Uh, French fries and he goes, we don't have them,
and I was like, what what conversation are we having here?
And I was sober by the way total this wasn't
a three conversational Bourbon Street, although those did happen during
the team trip. But I was like, is somebody gonna

(50:09):
come out of here with a cad like that just
make fun of me? Like what's happening here? I was like,
I think I need to just re examine my head.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
It was a good baked potato. If I'm not lying,
I had all the fixings on it. It was it
was a good baked potato.

Speaker 2 (50:19):
Yeah, I had some fix There was some fixings.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
On and results in the pole percent of the Fancy
Pros Dynasty family loves the time. But I love you.

Speaker 2 (50:29):
Guys, best community and all of Fantasy Space said it before.
Let's say it again.

Speaker 3 (50:34):
They know, they know, they know, they're bright, they're sharp.

Speaker 1 (50:36):
We need we need, we need a potato rankings trade
valued chartnecks and we get fitsy on that here in
the off season.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
Why some downtime, Uh, scalloped potatoes are gonna be the undera.

Speaker 3 (50:46):
Oh, I do love some some cheesy potatoes.

Speaker 2 (50:48):
Gallop Its good scalloped potatoes, slap man, especially in the oven,
and you get it like the little.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
The little bubbles, the little brown bubble. Yeah, I'm there
for that, sir, Yes, sir Derek. Speaking of potatoes, You've
got big chef in the chap. I'm sure he's made
some great baked potatoes or French fries. In the passing.
Should I flip Bowers or Fan And in tight end
premium I need running backs badly, Derek. Usually this is
a situation where I'm gonna take the young and you know,

(51:16):
probably cheaper asset and ride them and trade the top
level asset. But in a tight end premium, I'm totally
fine with rolling Bowers and Fannin out one and two,
one in the tight end, one in the flex every
single week. I don't want to trade off these players.
But if I'm getting a haul back at running back,
it might be hard to say no. But I don't
think I'm like trying to actively flip them.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
What about you, I'm trading faning Wow, you have Bowers.
I'm fine with it. Like Fannin's gonna be like a
flex guy for you. And so here here's my problem
with Fannin. Here's My problem with Fan and my worry
with Fan, and that's so much a problem. I think
the kid is talented and all that kind of stuff.
My worry with Harold Fannin is the the head coach

(51:58):
that drafted him has now gone. He had mid round capital,
he was really really good in his rookie season. I'm
not disputing that at all. Is he going to be
a full time route cheer guy this year with Todd
Munkin or are we going to see him dropping out
sixty to seventy percent? Because the other thing is is
that he did come out. He had that tweener kind

(52:20):
of label. They had the athleticism, consusct sense. He volumed
his way to a really really strong rookie season. But
does that happen again this year? And also to that point,
myself included, a lot of people are mocking Cleveland to
take a wide receiver in the first round. So if

(52:41):
he's not the clear one or fighting for that clear
one spot on that depth chart and the target totem pole,
what does that look like for Harold Fan in year two?
There's more questions here for me than I think a
lot of people have. I already traded Harold fan, and
I'll get your thoughts on this trade. I traded Harold
Fannin earlier in the off season in one of our
Fantasy Pros Dynasty leagues tracking weigh in, tell me if

(53:01):
I got cooked in this and this is not tight
end premium, I traded Harold fan In a way for
Malik Willis and the two oh seven.

Speaker 1 (53:10):
See I don't want Malik Willis. That that's yeah, that's
that's the issue. See I'd rather a fan in it
in that deal.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
But okay, so so let's let's zoom out. So so
Malik Willis is probably worth like a second round early
second year. Would you trade Harold Fannin? Would you trade
Harold fannon for two seconds? I would.

Speaker 1 (53:28):
Here, here's I guess the question, who do you have?
Do you want fann In or do you want the
rookie tight ends? Because I think ceiling you're from the
rookie tight ends. You're trying to find Harold Fannin in
this group, to be honest, So you got Bowers.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
Why do you need a Harold fann In in this group?

Speaker 1 (53:42):
I guess you don't. But if it's tight end premium,
you can always roll them out in the flex though,
and it's and it's never bad to have another elite
tight end in case something that happens to Bower. I mean,
he was a guy who missed a quarter to the
season last year.

Speaker 2 (53:54):
That's fair. But if he's only filling one starting spot
for a tight end and he can go trade Harold
fannin for I mean, dude, the hype on fan and
is so high you could go out and get someone
like a Javonte Williams straight up for Harold fans. Yeah,
you're asking, like in the needs running back help.

Speaker 1 (54:08):
You're asking the wrong guy because I'm a maction guy too,
So I've been on this Harold fan and Junior trained
for the good part of two years.

Speaker 2 (54:14):
So I your bag, your bags are fack, I get it,
your bags are backed.

Speaker 1 (54:18):
Yeah, I am here own fan. And uh, speaking of Monty.

Speaker 2 (54:22):
Todd said I got cooked, You got cook?

Speaker 1 (54:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (54:28):
We also have a question back to Monty, where would
we take him and start at drafts? Right now, the
Fantasy Pros Dynasty ECR has him one hundred and forty
two overall, and that feels about right to me. He's
kind of in this range with the Trey Bensons, the Cokers,
the Deebo Saniels of the world. Would you move him up, Derek,
do you have him kind of close to that area
or do you think maybe we're high as a consensus

(54:49):
here at FP. Where's he at UH one two overall,
RB thirty five in Dynasty rankings, I've.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
Got him one hundred and thirty third over Okay, and
this is like this is one QB so I've got
him one hundred and thirty third overall. I've got him
at RB thirty three. So we're basically in the in
the same shouting distance. And this is and this is
also I will say this, this is including the rookie
running backs. Okay, if you take the rookie running backs
out of this outside of like okay, Jeremiah Love. But

(55:17):
if you take all the second third tier guys out
like Jenderium Price, Mike Wash, Jonah Coleman, Emma Johnson, then
that would bump David Montgomery up to RB twenty nine.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
So I'm I'm I'm above consensus only because I look
at Montgomery, You're getting an RB two maybe on one
for the next year, maybe two years.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
Yeah, I'm in agreeance with you.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
There we do have Fannin or Willis in the two
oh seven pull up? Let us know, did Derek get cooked?

Speaker 3 (55:46):
I want to know.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
I want to know I only got cooked, But I'd rather.

Speaker 2 (55:50):
Say with me the first time I got cooked in
the trade happened.

Speaker 1 (55:52):
We got a couple more questions and then we're gonna
get out of here. First one come from Chris Hill,
the Great Chris Hill. Have the one two and the
one oh three. He loaded at wide receiver with Lamb London,
Saint Brown, Rice Watson, Wilson Wandale Robinson. What's the play
trade up to one oh one or best player available?
Can you let us know, Chris, I imagine this isn't

(56:13):
super flex because you didn't mention your quarterbacks in the
fact of maybe getting Mendoz. So if this is only yeah,
if it's only a single quarterback, like I don't mind
trying to get up to the one oh one in
this standpoint there because he is loaded at wide receiver.
But still I don't mind just going BPA and taking
Tate and Tyson back to back because then you can
unload some of these other guys as they continued to age.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
So depending on what Chris says about being super flex
or not. I think the move for me would be
trade the one O two to get up to the
one oh one, not trade both of them. Trade the
one O two to get up to the one oh one.
Whatever you need to kind of do to sweeten that
deal and get somebody to fall back one spot, go

(56:57):
draft Jeremiah Love and then take car and Old Tate
at one o three is how I would play. Okay, now,
if you need, if you needed the quarterback, I would
be totally fine with sticking with Mendoza and Carnald Tate
or what have you. Yep, oh it is he said
it is super flex. So he has Donald Willis, Murray
and jayde.

Speaker 1 (57:15):
I'm staying taking bp A, I'm staying t Yeah, I
think you need Mendoza. I think you need Mendoza and Tate.
That's how I would go.

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Okay, Well what about this? What if you could give
Kyler Murray and the one o two to get up
to one on one and draft Jeremiah Love, you would
still have Donald Willis and Jane Daniels.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
I would do that in a heartbeat, making Malik Willis
instead of Kyler Murray.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
I have you have more faith in Kyler Murray than
you do in Malik Willis.

Speaker 1 (57:47):
Yeah, Willis is throwing one hundred and fifty passes in
the NFL, dude, And I'm not a I'm not a
Kyler guy either.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
I will take I will take the black black box
prospect over Kyler Murray and a million times over a million,
I have no faith in that's fair. We've seen we've
seen more bad Kyler Murray than we have seen good
Kyler Murray in the NFL. The NFL knows exactly who
he is. If if he bombs out this year, he's

(58:14):
done as a starter in the NFL.

Speaker 3 (58:16):
Probably, that's fair.

Speaker 2 (58:17):
And all the the the hope and hype of Sam
Darnold and Daniel Jones and all these guys re treading
and stuff is the only thing floating Kyler Murray's freaking value.
And what I will say to the pushback of all that, Okay,
are you expecting Kyler to what grow another six or
seven inches to be tall enough to see over the
all line like those quarterbacks? Because unless that freaking crap

(58:38):
is happening, Kyler Murray's game ain't changing, dude, it's not changing,
and he's running less. So many rushing equity you're getting
out of him. Are you expecting more in the this
year to come? I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (58:50):
Well, speaking of that, here last questions from Massive Iron
tuh Schak Trad Kyler the one nine and the two eight.

Speaker 3 (58:56):
For the one oh four in a super flex or
is that an overpay? Possibly? Think Mendoza falls down there?

Speaker 1 (59:02):
I already have the one oh one.

Speaker 3 (59:03):
Things.

Speaker 1 (59:03):
Guys love the show, Massive end, we appreciate you as well.

Speaker 3 (59:07):
What do you think about this?

Speaker 1 (59:08):
Derek? Would you package Kyler with that one oh nine
and the two o eight to get up just five
spots in that one oh four? I fit mint Mendoza
could be on the board.

Speaker 2 (59:17):
Go offer this package to the one oh two. Yeah,
sell yourself up to Jeremiah Love and Mendoza in this.
If I'm gonna do that, the only way I'm making
that deal is if Mendoza is on the board. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
Because the chances in nine times out of ten most leagues,
he's not falling to the one four. So if you
make this deal and you're doing it with the idea

(59:39):
that Mendoza is gonna be there, if he's not, you're
gonna hate life. Yeah, yeah, So I'm not saying that
it's not fair value. I honestly think Kyler in the
one oh nine is it would be an aggressive offer
for this, like a two to oh eight. On top
of it feels like you're overpaying for Mendoza at that point,
like considering all those things, I don't disagree. Yeah, but

(01:00:01):
I also think you could possibly just offer the one
oh nine and then two o eight and maybe get
up to the one oh four. But maybe, again that's
gonna be so league dependent, Like if it was me,
I would rather honestly, I mean, if one of these
one or two of these quarterbacks surprise in draft capital,
like say nuss Meyer or Cole Payton go in the
late second, or both of them go in the late second,

(01:00:23):
which is possible. If both of them go in the
late second, then like you could be drafting your pick
of the litter at one oh nine. And if that's
the case, you're gonna hate the fact that you gave
up all that and overpay with the one o four
as well. So I would just I would wait.

Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
And as we're live here, we are getting the news
that the Cardinals have informed Kyler Murray that they intend
to release him next Wednesday per Chefy.

Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
That was a given. That was a given. No team
was trading for Kyler Murray.

Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
No, not in that contract. Contract's the issue.

Speaker 2 (01:00:50):
I that's just not gonna happen. So I think he's
gonna get released. Tua is probably gonna get released, although
the Miami would be up a creek with that damn
contract if they were release him. They're probably gonna try
to trade him for whatever the hell they can get back.
But yeah, I Kyler getting released was a given. And
I'll be honest, set like, I'm having a hard time

(01:01:11):
trying to figure out what is the starting spot for
Kyler Murray.

Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
I just hope it's not the Steelers tell me. That
feels like it could be a no.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
But you tell me, what are the starting spots that
actually makes sense for Kyler Murray next year? Like realistic
starting spots for Kyler Murray Pittsburgh. He's not gonna He's
not gonna mesh well with Aaron Glenn and the Jets.
You think Aaron Glenn's gonna want Kyler Murray in his
locker room? Hell no, So that's not gonna happen. Uh,
what the Miami Dolphins that's not gonna happen because they're

(01:01:40):
just Jettison.

Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
Yeah, they're not gonna take on another Pittsburgh. I could
see Cleveland doing something dumb. You know, Cleveland likes to
take take some jacks at quarterback.

Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
So I don't know Cleveland.

Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
Maybe, But if the Colts don't sign Danny Dimes back, maybe.

Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
Maybe. But again, he's not really the archetype of quarterback.
Like I think you're more likely seeing Derek fricking Carr
ended up in the Colts.

Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
Then I would say, jes Jez, don't put that.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
I mean, why don't we just start like just living
uh Vikings short? No, when don't we just live in
short king Land? Why don't you just bring Kyler Murray
and to compete with Bryce Young and.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
Then draft Diego Pavia.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
Dude, it would be the I mean, they'd be collecting
all the pubne be wonderful.

Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
Uh uh. Last question here, it was one that we
talked about earlier. It was a trade keeper question here
from Nate saying keep Drake may for a seventh or
Drake Makeston for a twelfth. Uh, Jamison Williams for an
Javonte Williams, excuse me again, for an eighth, Jakobe Myers
for an eighth, Zay for a third, common On Guy
for an eighth, Blake Corn for an eighth, Dobbins for

(01:02:45):
an eighth, Rome for a fifth, Ricky Sticky Uh for
a fifth, or Tyler Warren for a seventh, Jawan Johnson
for an eighth. So coming back up to this keeper question,
I believe how many did he need to keep?

Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
How many are you eep?

Speaker 3 (01:03:00):
And NA needs to keep two?

Speaker 1 (01:03:02):
Uh? Super early? I'm guessing it's not super flex. If
you got Drake May where he did for me, I
want I want May and Warren because they feel like
that the two big difference makers compared to where you're
picking all these players. What about you, Derek? They feel
like the biggest values that you're getting on the board.

Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
Do you do you see the biggest values in onesie positions?
I would say my top three here would be and
and some of this. When when it comes down to
keeper questions, it also depends on the player pool. Yes,
you're selecting from, like is RB looking really sparse? Is
quarterback plentiful? Is you know tight end? Like everybody's probably
keeping the tight top end tight ends. I would say

(01:03:42):
this would be I'm definitely keeping Tyler, and then I'm
deciding depending on the markets, whether I'm keeping Drake May and.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
Javonta's games, depending on good call.

Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
What the depth looks like at the call. That that's
that's that's the route I go with them.

Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
