we can let you know if you are the big
winner of the Fantasy Football Championship Belt only from Trophy Smack. Gentlemen,
and I use that term loosely with my two friends
here let's start with the quarterbacks here. Fernando Mendoza is
the foregone conclusion, the number one guy, So FITZI, how
(01:51):
would you comp him? For all those who maybe don't
watch a lot of college football but are trying to
get a gauge on what for Nando Mendoza might be
if he develops correctly at the ENDFL level.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
I don't know if this is the perfect comp.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
I don't know if there is a perfect comp for
Fernando Mendoza Joe, but I see a little bit of
Matt Ryan with Fernando Mendoza. Similarly tall pocket passers with
good arms, notable touch and accuracy, and excellent processing ability.
And although we didn't see it much at the pro level,
Matt Ryan actually had some mobility during his Boston college days.
(02:25):
Not a big runner, but he could at least elude pressure,
not like the sort of late era Matt Ryan we
saw with the Falcons and Colts. So Mendoza is probably
not going to be a prolific runner in the NFL either.
I don't know if his rushing ability is ever going
to move the needle in fantasy, but he might add
a little bit of value there. We saw him pinball
(02:45):
his way into the end zone for that key touchdown
in the National Championship game against Miami. I see a
lot of Matt Ryan and Fernando Mendoza though as a
passer particularly.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Okay, well, look that's pretty good. I mean, there's a
guy that a lot of one thousand yard and forty
five hundred and above yards. Do you think those kind
of seasons are really in store for him? Because those
are pretty prolific, especially when you consider, you know, the
er in which he played where the rules were still
evolving a little bit towards the pass weren't one hundred
percent there yet. But he did come into the league
back in two thousand and eight when things start to
(03:17):
really open up a little bit more.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Yeah, it's a top end comp for sure. I think.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Okay, Raiders fans, assuming the Raiders take him number one,
would be delighted if he lived up to the Matt
Ryan comp.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
All right, So let's throw a little cold water. Maybe
he doesn't live up to quite that hype. Scott Bogman
bring us down to reality a little bit with another
Fernando Mendoza comp.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
I don't know if I'm much under that reality because
I have better Daniel Jones, and I think better Daniel
Jones from this season right where you actually have competent
play callers around him, a good supporting cast, all that
good stuff, because I don't you know, New York was
tough for Daniel Jones and he played well there. But
Fernando Mendoz is very cerebral, right, and that is what
(03:56):
Daniel Jones is. These guys are big film guys. I
mean Daniel Jones, who can see when he gets on
the plane to leave road games, he already has next
week's playbook like everybody else is either celebrating, you know
when they do those those videos in the plane and everything.
Daniel Jones is in the book already. I feel like
that's exactly what Fernando Mendoza is. They both are big
(04:18):
dudes that can move but don't necessarily want to run,
as Pat alluded to, like, I don't know if we're
going to get a big fantasy kick out of Fernando
Mendoz's rushing, but he can do it kind of like
Daniel Jones. So you know, both big tall guys. I
think Mendoz is a better passer. Daniel Jones probably a
little bit of a better runner. But that was the
(04:40):
closest I had. And you know, comps are always like,
you want to do high end comps because this is
what this guy can aspire to be if everything hits well, Look,
I think.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Better Daniel Jones actually would would you know? Raider fans
would sign up for that, to be honest with you,
especially after the last couple of years. Of course, yeah,
after Geno Smith that they did, they might even just
settle for Daniel Jones period. Forget better. Lets take that
for the most part. Let's talk about ty Simpson from
Alabama last year twenty eight touchdowns, five picks through for
thirty five hundred yards. Obviously, you're talk to different people,
(05:11):
they'll give you different comps and different takes on Ty
Simpson how far along he might be in his development process.
But Boggs, let's start with you here. Give me a
Tye Simpson take here in terms of what the comp
might be for him in the NFL.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Yeah, I think brock Purty is what he would aspire
to be in the NFL, right, Like, he's not going
to be that coming in not a lot of experience.
Rock Party had a ton of experience from Iowa state
coming into the NFL. But I do see with his
footwork in particular, like the way that he gets out
of pressure and that kind of things. He can avoid
tackles and keep his eyes down the field to manipulate
(05:47):
the pocket. It really reminded me of a guy like
Brock Purty. But I actually kind of like fits this better.
I wish I could have copied it all right.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Fits. It's interesting because your comp was actually a number
one overall pick right back in the day. So let's
talk about your comp for mister Simpson.
Speaker 3 (06:01):
The funny thing is, Boggs, I was trying to find
a comp for Ty Simpson as far as just lack
of college starting experience only one year starter, and when
I saw your party thing, I was like, Wow, that's
kind of the polar opposite. That was a guy who
started a lot of games in college. But stylistically I
totally see it, and I was kind of the same way.
(06:23):
I just couldn't come up with a good comp as
far as the guy who hadn't started many college games.
But Alex Smith just because watching Ty Simpson and he
has that quick release, really snappy and very clean mechanically,
so was Alex Smith and you mentioned the footwork bogs.
(06:44):
Simpson has some of that escapability. Alex Smith definitely did
when he was at Utah. So yeah, I just couldn't
come up with that good one year college starter comp,
so I kind of fell back on the more stylistic comp.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Well. Look, Alex Smith was a guy that you know,
went to playoffs, who has all winning records when he
landed in some better circumstances. So circumstances I think will
matter a lot for ty Simpson where he lands and.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
What well, I mean, if we're looking at Alex Smith
as Ty Simpson going into the draft, he would not
have been won overall. So kind of makes sense that
way too.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yeah, yeah, that's also a good point. All right, let's
talk about the running backs here. Jeremiah love Fits. He
already has a poster in his bedroom, which his wife
is not happened about. By the way, obviously sky's a
limit for this guy.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Incredible, especially because he chose to put it over there. Yeah,
I know, weird choice.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
So at least put on them back to the door,
you know, something like that, or maybe behind on the
wall when the door closes that way, you know, he
could just kind of peek in every now and then.
But look, I don't want to tell Fitzy on to
run his personal life. Let's talk about Jeremiah Love. Let's
talk about the compsenter out there for him, because obviously
this is an incredible talent. This is a guy that
I think most fantasy managers, whether it's Dynasty or Redraft,
are really excited about this year. Landing spot matters like
(07:57):
it does for everybody. But who's the guy that he
reminds you of?
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Look, this is physically they're not an exact match. But
when you see Jeremiah Love play with the sports car acceleration,
the easy speed, the open field elusiveness, the pass catching ability,
the one name that comes to mind immediately is Jamiir Gibbs.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
And that is from style of play obviously more than
size you're talking about.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
Yeah, yeah, well definitely just the just the lightning in
a bottle man and how dangerous he is and how
quickly he can get up to full speed.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
That I mean, I don't have. This is what I've
been saying the whole year. For Jeremiah Love is taller
Jamir Gibbs, and that's exactly what I have. Like, as
fitz said, stylistically not really the same. Obviously, Gibbs is bigger,
he can run through tacklers a little bit more. I
think Gibbs can run past tacklers a little bit better.
(08:52):
But they're going to do the same things, right, Like,
they may not look exactly the same, but I think
that Love is a Gibbs style archetype of running back
that is exactly what you want from him. He can
catch passes and go a long way with it. He
can do it in between the tackles. He can do
everything you want. So I think stylistically they physically, like
(09:13):
you said, Joe, they look different because Gibbs, you know,
is more upright, a little taller and can run through
some tacklers. But I think they're going to do close
to the same things. If we have Gibbs, we have
Loves set up for success like we had well.
Speaker 1 (09:26):
I always find that the truly special players are always
the hardest ones to comp you know. To me, it's like, well,
I really don't have especially in the baseball world, whenever
I'm trying to comp a guy, if I say, hey,
there's no comp for this guy, that means that this
guy's really special, Like he is kind of doing his
own thing and very unique. I mean, like be Jon Robinson.
I've seen people throw that around to a little bit.
I mean there's a guy that runs a little bit taller,
(09:47):
a little bit bigger than Jamior Gibbs too, but it's
somewhere in that realm, and that should make people very excited.
He's gonna be look in this circumstance too, with Love
being this extraordinary talent and Mendoza being a good talent.
I mean, we talked about the comps there between those
two players. Even in a super Flex league in Dynasty,
would you lean towards Love as the number one overall
(10:09):
pick over Mendoza Still despite the fact that one's a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
It's close.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
I mean, I think in the majority of super flex leagues,
Love is going to be the one on them. And
even though there's more of that positional premium on quarterbacks
and I can I think you can certainly justify taking
Mendoza if you need a quarterback. But I think just
for the top end potential Joe, it's pretty hard to argue.
Like when with Mendoz, I mean the I don't know
(10:37):
if he's got a superstar top end outcome as a possibility,
but I think he could be an average to above
average starter for a long time, and there's a lot
of value to that. In super flex Love could absolutely
be a top two or three running back.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
In terms of value bogs if you have the one
oh one. Obviously, you know roster construction matters with your
looking for a quarterback, are wanting Mendoza, But let's say
you're good at both positions, what would you rather have Love?
Speaker 4 (11:06):
I mean, is it not really close either? Like I
love Mendoza. I think he's gonna be great, I really do,
But Jeremiah Love is the most sure thing I feel
like that we have in this draft. So Jeremiah Love
would be my one overall, like in a vacuum. But
I understand the math in super flex leagues and quarterbacks
are worth more. So I had no beef if you
(11:28):
take Mendoza, even if you're good at both positions, because
maybe you can get a premium running back and a
draft pick or something if you traded Mendoza in a
super flex league, specific specifically if it's like sixteen man
or bigger, you know, just one of those huge leagues
where not everyone's gonna have a backup quarterback. So yeah,
(11:49):
I think that, but in most cases, just in a vacuum,
it's Jeremiah Love because he's a short thing.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
All right, Let's move on to the next running back
on our list, Joanah Coleman of the Washington Huskies. Last
year one hundred and fifty six carries, seven fifty eight
yards for him fifteen touchdowns average four point nine yards
per carry. Boggs, who's your comp for, mister Coleman.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
I got him as shorter David Montgomery, and David Montgomery
also had a lot of experience coming out of Iowa State.
But the thing that made me comp in to Jonah
Coleman is the body control, like the way that these
guys make people miss and the stiff arm. Like the
stiff arm and the body control that these guys both have.
And Jonah Coleman is going to be probably five to
(12:29):
nine when we get to his measurements and all that
stuff later this week. So I but these guys both
carried a massive workload in college. Jonah Coleman was the
workhorse for Washington the last two seasons. I think he
can catch the ball. He's not going to be a
crazy explosive guy catching the ball kind of like David
Montgomery was never that. That's why you know Gibbs has
(12:52):
coming and done so much. But a solid, solid contributor
that can be a starter for a while if given
the runway.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
All right, Jonah Coleman, for you, Fitzy, who do you
remind you of?
Speaker 2 (13:04):
Maybe a little like Tyler Algier?
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Both guys sort of yeah, they sort of had that
bowling ball body type. Joe Coleman is five nine two
twenty something Algier five ten two twenty five. Both pretty
quick feet for guys who are built like that and
really only so so long speed for both those guys.
They're not really gonna break away and run by people.
But I when I watched Jonah Coleman, I have thought
(13:32):
of Tyler Algier, all right.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Five nine two something that that's a pretty good body
type as far as I'm concerned. That's what I'm rocking
with these days. All Right, let's talk about the next
guy on our list who had himself a pretty good
statistical season here, Emma Johnson of Nebraska. He had fourteen
hundred and fifty one yards on the ground. He had
twelve touchdowns rushing. He also had forty six receptions and
three hundred and seventy yards receiving with three more touchdowns. Fitzy.
(13:54):
A really good statistical season for Emmit Johnson of Nebraska.
Who does remind you of that you want to put
a comp on twenty twenty six in the draft.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Let's keep it in the big ten. Chase Brown.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
Okay, both guys were major workhorses in their final college
seasons despite their size. Both guys are about five to
eleven two hundred pounds. Emmitt Johnson wasn't quite the workhorse
the Chase Brown was. Chase Brown averaged twenty seven point
three carries and twenty nine point six touches a game
in his final year in Illinois. Brett Beilamo worked him
(14:26):
into the ground, but Emmit Johnson not too far behind,
only twenty point nine carries a game and twenty four
point eight touches a game in his final season at Nebraska.
I think Emmit Johnson is maybe a little shiftier than
Chase Brown, but Brown probably has better contact balance.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
But just guys who handled.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Massive workloads despite not really having typical workhorse size.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
You know what, though, I mean I'll sign up for that.
I mean, Chase Brown pretty good fantasy running back wouldn't
bother me, especially if he ended up a good offense,
like if he landed in some place that was ready
to rock and roll, that wasn't a work in progress,
where the offensive line was good and the system was
good for him set up to be that bellcal kind
of guy. Emma Johnson, for you, Scott Bogman, who is
you remind you.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Of Asa Awmos as Rashad White, which is I think
more of a stylistic comp than a statistical comp because
I like the Chase Brown comp and the fact that
they both had a heavy workload, specifically that last season
for him at Johnson. But I do think that he
could fit in like Rashad White, meaning he could go
(15:33):
really anywhere and have a role. He could be a
third down back, He could be your main guy if
needed to be. He can also be your first and
second down hitter if you have a Woody Marx in
Houston takes him. So I think he's a complete back
that can kind of be a chameleon and mold into
wherever you put him. And I think Rashad White is
like that as well, So that's why I comped him
(15:55):
to White.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
All Right, Next one here on our list. Jendarian Price
of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish last year one hundred
and thirteen carries six hundred and seventy four yards eleven
touchdowns on his own. Pretty good run attack for the
Fighting Irish last year. Bogs was a player comp for
Price in your opinion.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
All right, So I feel like this is going to
be insulting to some people, right And I think you
need to remember back to what he was like going
into the draft, because that is how I'm thinking of
this comp. Miles Sanders is what I have Jerium Price as,
and I think body type they're kind of the same,
but really it's the explosiveness, right, that is what Miles
(16:32):
Sanders was coming into the league, had a couple injuries,
kind of not the same guy anymore obviously, But I
think coming in you saw a first second down back
which Jajerium Price might be way better than that. He
could easily be a workhorse, but we don't know if
he can catch the ball very well because he had
like eighteen catches in college. Because Jeremiah Love was getting
all of the routes for Notre Dame as far as
(16:54):
the running backs went, but an explosive player that can
help on special teams, a lot of breakaway yards of
real good guy to bring in as a closer at
the end of the game because of his size and
his speed and he can he's gonna get a lot
of massive chunk plays against tired defenses. So, uh, that
is who I compted to is Miles Sanders coming in
(17:14):
to the NFL.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
All right, Fitzy, how about for you? Who does Price
remind you of.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
My comp Much like Bogman, I'm comping him to someone
more as a prospect than what they turned out to
be because my guy was also somewhat of an NFL disappointment.
Sony Michelle so similar body types. Both Jenarian Price and
Sony Michelle are about five eleven two ten, both one
cut runners with good contact balance. Both come with questions
(17:42):
about their pass catching potential. Sony Michelle didn't really have
to do a lot of that and Jenarian Price hasn't either.
And the other similarity kind of the obvious one. Jenarian
Prices had to play second fiddle to Jeremiah Love. Sony
Michelle had to share a backfield with Nick Chubb at Georgia,
and Chubb was pretty much the one A is Sony
Michelle's one be down there.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
But Sony Michelle before his knee injuries down in Georgia,
it was pretty damn good too. Yes, yeah, yeah, you know,
I think people forget that. Yes, that goes quite a
one two punch there. It's actually a good comp because
he didn't have all the work. But I even like
it more because of that. But Sony Michelle was not
I think by the time he got to the Patriots,
he wasn't the player he was in college already. So
hopefully that's not the case for Price. So just in
(18:25):
terms of health, it doesn't seem that.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Right, so doesn't have the injury stuff coming down Michelle.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Did so, And obviously, as we continue to talk here
on this channel, make sure you subscribe to our new
channel for the Dynasty Fantasy Football. It is out there
for you. They've got superflex drafts, they've got startup drafts,
they've got everything happening here for you. They're doing rankings,
they're doing draft coverage, and of course there's also going
to be a ton of coverage regarding the combine as well.
So if you haven't already subscribe to the Fantasy Pros
Dynasty Channel Feet on YouTube right now and ring that
(18:51):
bell till it goes ding. If you're watching us over
there and you're enjoying it, great, And if you're watching
us on Fantasy Pros, take a second after the show
or even during the show and go subscribe over there
to the Honesty Feet as well. Let's talk wide receivers.
And I feel like you guys are selling my dude
a little bit short here. CARDL Tate, I think is
really talented, and I understand that he plays with a
guy on the same team that is even more talented
(19:11):
than him, and I get that, But Fitzy, walk me
through your comp for him.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
Okay, so this guy was a very good NFL receiver,
Joe was.
Speaker 1 (19:21):
He was good?
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Yeah, so, and I'm kind of going into the way
back machine.
Speaker 4 (19:25):
It was better than good.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yeah, all right, so it.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
Was pretty good, pretty good.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
The question is whether Ohio State fans can stomach having
one of their Buckeyes compared to a Michigan Wolverine because
the cop I have as a Moni tumor. Both guys
have these tall, lean builds. Tait six to three, one
hundred and ninety five pounds tumor sixty three, two oh three,
I think, yeah, look two three, Yeah, so they're they're
(19:52):
both these smooth vertical receivers with pretty exceptional downfield playmaking ability,
good ball track backing, really reliable hands like I don't
think that's fate praise for Carnell.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
Tait, Joe Amani Tumor was a darn good player.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Fact, I think I think it was a very good player.
I think Carnel Tate could be even better, especially lands
in the right spot with the right quarterback Bogs, you
got somebody a little bit more sexy and exciting here
for mister Tate.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Not No, I don't I think Amani Tumor is such
a good one, especially going into the way back machine.
But I thought, uh peke Allen Robinson. Alan Robinson had
a couple of really good seasons for the Jaguars. But
what made me comping to Alan Robinson is the way
that Carnell Tait uses his hands right like just a
(20:40):
hands catcher and very good in contested situations as well,
massive catch radius like Alan Robinson had also and a
big dude both six' four right six three sixty, four
that type of big framed archetype type of, Players so
mine is more of a stylistic Comp BUT i think
you're right in the fact that you know it's not
(21:03):
all the player you comped these guys, too Isn't sometimes
it's going to be way below what they, are and
sometimes it's gonna be way above where they. Are like you,
know it's it's pretty. Big it's pretty big to Put
gibbs On Jeremiah love even though he's a great. Prospect
BUT i do think just, Stylistically Alan robinson and A Moni,
tumor just big frame wide receivers that win at the catch.
(21:26):
Point AND i do think you're. RIGHT i Think Carnell
tate routs these guys up.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Better, well that was the POINT i was gonna. Make
like we did the film session show over On. Twitch
deebro AND i a couple weeks ago Watching tate film
and you know the way he weaves in and out
and he gets the corners to turn their hips and
then just dusts by, them you, know and just weaves
back the other. Way he's so. Smooth and and, look,
Look i'm not taking away anything for, Money tumor Or.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Allen oh you're gonna comp to comprom to, somebody then you, KNOW.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
I think THAT i think a my tumor again doesn't
get enough. Credit you're probably right and going back and
look looking statistic.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
Anyway six thousand, Seasons yeah he.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
DID i forgot. Them you. KNOW i keep thinking About peakamani,
tumor not realizing how long actually he was righting off
those thousand yard. Seasons so maybe more peak was good.
Too peak was he? Was speak was? Good peak was.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
Good wasn't there somebody else there with? Him who was
the other really good wider wide receiver for the's still The.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Victor cruiz years or, no that Was Victor.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
Cruz, YEAH i feel like there was somebody with my,
tumor was. It, uh we.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
Have to go back And i'll go back in the
way back machine and pull it out there for. You
in the, meantime let's move To makay lemon box because
you've got a fun comp for this guy as, well
and if he hits this, one and and let me
Be frank or just Be joe either, WAY i don't
necessarily love when everybody just comps. SUPERSTARS i Think tate
is a. Superstar for the, RECORD i think he has
got that kind of level of potential AND i think
(22:50):
it's okay to give comps to, just you, know your
pretty average or even slightly above average players if you
think a prospect is good. Enough so that being, said McKay,
lemon what you're coming for?
Speaker 5 (23:00):
Him?
Speaker 4 (23:02):
Yeah by the, way it was Like, killiard WHO i
was Thinking? Killard so oh, yes my Confor Makaya. Lemon
and this is it's kind of a hacky one AND
i know people are rolling their eyes on the internet about,
this but it's also a little helmet Scouting Amna Saint brown,
man like they just move the. SAME i don't know
That Makaye lemon has That Amnas Saint brown crazy crazy.
(23:25):
Motor but this dude will do whatever you. Want he
will go out and. Block. Uh he is great with
the ball in his. Hands he's lightning. Quick he makes
guys move after the. Catch he is a very good wide.
Receiver he just won The Blet Nikoff award as a
nation's best wide. RECEIVER i think he's going to be.
OUTSTANDING i really hope he lands in a good, Spot
(23:47):
LIKE i think thirteen to The rams would be, amazing
but he might not even make it to. Thirteen SO
i think some team is going to see A Monro
Saint brown in him specifically because they both went TO
usc and then you, know go from. There SO i
JUST i can't not see A monro WHEN i.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
Watch, well, look that's that's high praise because if he
has half the work ethic of a Moder, Ros Saint
brown's gonna have a very successful. Career Makai lemon last
year seven night, catches eleven hundred fifty six, yards eleven. Touchdowns,
fizzy give me a comp For?
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Lemon, YEAH i, Mean I'm.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
Gonnaros Saint brown is the top end comp for, him
and that's kind of a ubiquitous. Comp like if you
look at scouting, reports that is who pretty much everyone.
Less but let me throw out the name of a
DIFFERENT usc wide, receiver AND i am borrowing this one
FROM i Heard Ray garvin make this Comp ray g
and it instantly made sense to.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
Me Robert.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Woods Now woods is a couple inches taller and a little,
heavier But Robert woods was this really good route, technician
AND i think that's Where Mackay lemon shines. Too woods
also had really reliable, hands And lemon probably has the
best set of hands of any wide receiver in this.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
Class neither guys.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Really like an exceptional, athlete but they both really really
know how to get open and are very trustworthy on
the hands and just bringing down balls in the, air
winning contested. Catches both really really shine as far as route.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Technicians all, Right, fitzy let's move on To Jordan tyson
here From. Arizona sixty one catches for seven hundred eleven
yards last, year eight. TOUCHDOWNS a lot of people very
high On Jordan tyson as. Well and, actually your comp
is the same. COMP i believe THAT i threw on
him on That twitch show THAT i was referring to,
Early so let's talk about.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
It Stefan. Diggs, yeah and not really a body type.
Comparison tyson is a couple inches, taller a little. Heavier
just both players are really good route runners who create
separation with these lightning quick cuts they. Have and that's
when you See Jordan tyson that kind of stands out
his ability to change to action without really gearing down
(26:02):
and just kind of snap off these breaks that cornerbacks
are going to have trouble staying. With so both guys
have some inside outside. Versatility they can play in the,
slot they can play. OUTSIDE i think the biggest red
flag With Jordan tyson is the injury. History like he's you,
know he said some pretty major. Injuries diggs has been
really durable at THE nfl level for the most, part
(26:25):
but he did have two season ending injuries at when
he was At, maryland a broken leg and lacerated. Kidney
SO i don't, know maybe we overplay the injury. Thing
the upside With tyson is just so enticing THAT i
might be willing to take that chance even if there
is deemed to be some greater medical risk With Jordan
tyson than there is with some of the other top.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Receivers, yeah it was the same thing as a separation
THAT i talked about where it comes To Digs entyson
too THAT i. SAW i like your comparison as well
For Jordan. Tyson let's talk about why you Think Calvin
ridley is comparable to.
Speaker 4 (26:58):
Him, YEAH i think fits said it like these guys
can move inside and. OUTSIDE i think That tyson's probably
a little bit better as an outside And ridley's probably
a little bit better as a, slot but they can
play both. Sides they both have kind OF i don't
know how to say, it like interesting routes like they're
(27:18):
not always. Clean sometimes they around, them sometimes they break them,
off but it's usually whatever is best for the. Situation
so good route improvisers as. Well SO i just think
that that Is And ridley's had injury history in THE
nfl as, well SO i kind of think That tyson
is going to be one of those guys where he's
dogged a little bit by some soft tissue. Injuries but
(27:39):
you just never know specifically these days of you, know
what is an injury that should have made these guys
lose that much? Time and what is an injury that's
a business decision to get to THE nfl without you,
know anything. Happening So i'm hoping it's the, latter But
i'm afraid that it's probably gonna be something that dogs
into THE nfl as.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
Well. Well we hope they all stay, healthy that's what we,
want all. Right let's talk About Washington huskies comp here
For Denzel boston sixty two, receptions eight hundred and eighty one,
yards eleven. Touchdowns what stuck out to me AND i
was having this conversation again With. Derek we watch film
together and then we go on the show and talked
about it as well is he compared him To Courtland,
sutton AND i, said you, know the way that he
gets used in motion so much of that, offense and
(28:21):
the way he attacks the, football and how good his
hands are and how often the quarterbacks throws were underwhelming
or behind. Him the adjustments that he makes are so.
GOOD i, said he reminds me a little Of. Pooka
like to, me he had a lot Of Puka nakua
in his game in terms of the way he was
using that, offense moving all around the field constantly in
motion again and always just making the adjustment so well
when the ball's already in. Flight you, Actually bogs also
(28:44):
had Some Courtland sutton, love but you also had another receiver.
Too you want to throw on? Him, NOW i like
The Courtland sutton. One the other one scares the heck
out of.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
Me, yeah, WELL i think it. Should Keon. COLEMAN i
think they're kind of built the same, way big guys
that move, fast and you Know coleman return kicks and.
Punts Denzel boston's done a little bit of it as,
well AND i think it's it's. Scary the REASON i
Put Courtland sutton And Keon coleman is because it's, scary,
(29:12):
Right like the top, end, yeah. Exactly the top end
could Be Courtland, sutton a guy that's gonna get you
a bunch of catches and, touchdowns you, know close to
eighty catches a thousand yards and hopefully double digit. Touchdowns
that's what you. Want that's the high, end Right But Keon,
COLEMAN i think is the bottom out of where maybe
this couldn't. Work BUT i Think Denzel, boston LIKE i
(29:37):
have camped him to My steelers a, BUNCH i kind
of hope that's where he ends, up because The steelers
need a number two and a guy that can move
a little bit. BETTER i mean he, can he can
move a little bit better THAN. DK dk is very, stiff,
obviously we know. That BUT i think that he's probably
somewhere Between sutton And.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
Coleman all right, Now, fitz you've taken a lot of
a lot of shots. Here unfortunately over the, Years key
And coleman and they have not worked. Out SO i
don't want to make that comp for. HIM i think
we can move past. That give me another comp for,
you a player now that he might remind you of
in terms.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Of game and a lot of people are Mocking Denzel
boston To, buffalo so the key On coleman comp is
pretty frightening For bill's fans these.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
Days let's hope better than.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
That SO i was between a couple OF usc receivers,
Here Drake london And Michael.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
PITTMAN i went With pittman as my final.
Speaker 3 (30:28):
COMP i, mean you, know he And Denzel boston both
these big bodied six or four receivers who have exceptional ball.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Skills they're, rebounders.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
And, pittman Like, boston moves pretty well for a bigger,
receiver like these guys are are pretty agile for their.
SIZE i don't know If pittman gets a lot of
credit for his contested catchability, anymore but, man he was
so good at winning balls in the air when he
was AT, usc AND i always remember that about his college,
career and like that's kind of Where Denzel boston shines.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
Too All, right one more wide receiver we're going to
talk about here before we move on to the next.
Position casey concept she. Owned he's really, fun TEXAS a
and M guy And. Aggie so we'll try not to
stay too long of the dance For bogman on this,
one but sixty one, receptions nine hundred and nineteen, yards nine. Touchdowns,
look he's a hard nosed. PLAYER i like. Him this
is one where on that last show we did, Together
(31:21):
debro AND i were on Different but he loves, conception
AND i think he's too. SMALL i think he's a
guy that's gonna be like a third wide receiver return some.
Kicks you, know have a little big play in. Him
BUT i personally think size wise that he's not going
to translate very well to THE. NFL, FITZI i don't
know where you stand on. Concept she own you tell
me what your thoughts are and try to give me
a comp so we can maybe try to understand him.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Better, Yeah i've been debating whether. TOO i like him
just he's so good after the. Catch that's his secret.
SAUCE i think He's he's marvelous in that. Regard, so,
Man i'm all about THE usc wide receiver. Comps, TODAY
i pulled the Name Marquise, lee AND i know that
doesn't sound like a very flattering.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Comple he didn't really pan.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Out for The, jaguars although he did have a couple
of decent years before. That you, know he had The
Unholy trinity knee injury ACL mclpcl in like the twenty eighteen,
preseason only played one more season after that.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Injury but coming out of, college for, one they have similar.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
SIZES i, Mean Marquise lee was maybe an inch taller
and five pounds, heavier like six feet one hundred and
ninety five, pounds although Maybe conceptsion. DOESN'T i think they
list him at like five to, eleven but he could
be closer to five nine to five ten at the
combine this. Week But conceptsion is probably going late first,
round early second. Round Marquise lee was an early second
round pick and playing style. Man THE usc version Of
(32:47):
Marquise lee was a shifty.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
Route runner who was just dynamite after the.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
Catch But Marquise lee also had some issues with drops
in THE, nfl and drops have been kind of an
issue For casey conceptsy on At.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
Texas, Yeah bog's all, right let's talk about. YOURS i
know one of the two that you thre out, THERE
i actually like a, lot AND i think it would
be if things do go well For conceptual on THE nfl,
level he would be a lot more.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
Like that GUY i had our time With Casey. Concepcion
SO i went to the internet AND i was looking
at a couple, comps AND i Thought Jaden reid was
a really good, one like kind of a gadgety type of.
Player you can use him on. Reverses he's very. Fast
he's probably limited to the slot as, well can return
kicks and punts if you need him. To But Damian
parson had a really good. One Emmanuel, sanders the Former
(33:33):
Steelers broncos wide. RECEIVER i think that's a really good.
One just a lightning quick, dude gonna play out of the,
slot but can win in his. Routes he wins with his,
feet he can win at the catch point as. Well
so BUT i do think his role is going to
be more expanded Than manny, was to more of A
Jaden reid wherever he gets. Drafted so somewhere in between
(33:54):
those two.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
GUYS i love That Emmanuel, SANDERS i do.
Speaker 1 (33:56):
TOO i do. Too it's a good.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
ONE i couldn't get it out of my.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Head, Yeah AND i think that would be if it
hits with the right. Team that's what he. Becomes AND
i think people forget before the Torn achilles how Quick
Emanuel sanders was he was very, quick and then he
was tough to, guard and concept she owns all those.
Things and, AGAIN i don't want to take shots at the.
Player he's a really, tough hard nosed. Player but we're
in a spot here where a size really.
Speaker 4 (34:16):
Matters That Emanuel sanders is underrated because he played WITH
ab And Mike wallace In pittsburgh and then he went
To denver AND dt was there like he was always second.
Fiddle but he's very.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
Good, yeah but you know, what But i'll tell you.
WHAT i think that's exactly the role you want him
to be.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
In, yes, yeah you don't want him to be in number? One,
yeah except you.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
OWN i think the best thing you could do is
go to a team that has an alpha dog wide,
receiver so he could be that other. Guy AND i
think the other guy roll there where he's gonna see single.
Speaker 4 (34:42):
Covers you want, him you want him with the, Giants
you don't want him.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
With the, tights, exactly, exactly all, right before we get

Apply concerned about gambling In florida call one eight three
to three play. Wise In, indiana if you are someone
you know is a gambling, problem loans help called one
eight hundred and nine with. It gambling problem called one
(36:09):
hundred gambler In, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan New, Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee.
Virginia let's get to the tight end comps, Here Kenyon.
Sadik that's the big one. Here everybody's talking. About we've
done some mocks. Here we ended up in The EAGLES
i think. Twice actually that's. Happened we'd love. That boggs
Comp Kenyan sadik for.
Speaker 4 (36:24):
Me better Blocking Evan ingram BECAUSE i think he can
block a little bit, more but it's not necessarily what
you want him to. Do SO i think you Know
Evan ingram at his peak pretty good past catching tight.
END i think that's something That Kenyan sadiq is going
to be for his team as. Well, again a lot
like we just said With Casey, concepcion you don't want
(36:45):
him to be your number one. TARGET i don't know
that he is A George kittle or anything like, that
BUT i think he can be a very GOOD b
to a ONE. A SO i do like, him AND
i Think Evan ingram is a good stylistic comp as
catching the.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
BALL cos would sign up for. THAT i would sign
up For Evan, ingram a Young Evan ingram on The
eagles or somewhere else he could be. Useful fitzy about for,
You Kenyan, sadik what is your? Mind?
Speaker 2 (37:08):
Jo, yeah, Man Kenyan.
Speaker 3 (37:10):
Sadik fans are gonna rake me over the calls for
this in the YouTube, comments but, look tight end comps
are hard unless it's a prospect who just runs people
over after the catch Like Tyler warren did At Penn
state and then you just compare them To George kittle
and call it a. DAY i think it's trickier with
the more athletic tight. Ends so For Kenyon, SADIK i
am going to make more of an athletic comparison than
(37:31):
a stylistic. Comparison i'm going to Compare Kenyon sadik To Mike,
Kasiki and NOW i know The cidika iive is going
to hate that comparison Because Mike kasiki is basically a
spare part In fantasy, now but again mostly an athletic
Comp sadiq is a freak. Athlete forty one and a
half inch vertical jump and he's probably gonna run a
(37:53):
four or five something at the combine this. Week you
know who had a forty one and a half inch
vertical jump and ran a four or five something at
the two thousand and eight EIGHTEEN Nfl Scouting.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
Combine it Was Mike gasicki and he was a good. Prospect.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
YEAH i Think Mike gicki got stuck in a couple
of bad. Spots yeah, right SO i think BECAUSE i
Think sidiq could end up in a bad spot, Too
but he could end up in a very good spot
and be a high end tied in immediately depending on
where you.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Are i've seen Like Vernon davis comps because of the
you know and stuff like, that and.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
Then Vernon davis broke the combine.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
See AND i, AGREE i don't see that. One AND
i saw land Zero, line who was really, good but
like he was comparing him to. McBride i was, like
what what are you seeing? That i'm not, LIKE i
don't think that's. Fair.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
YEAH i don't like that one.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Either Vernon davis ran like a four three, eight didn't
he ran something just?
Speaker 4 (38:41):
Insane, Yeah vernon, again He Vernon david was a combine.
Speaker 2 (38:44):
Stuff. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
Yeah SO i Think john New smith is one of
those guys. Too when you're talking about like physical profile of.
Speaker 4 (38:49):
Things john's not Bad.
Speaker 1 (38:51):
John The john new comps That i've heard out there
For sadik are interesting Because i'm, like, okay THAT i can.
Understand but another guy where it's, like, okay it's kind
of all about where you land and what teaching you
at THE nfl level and how you're integrated to the
offense or not integrated to the. OFFENSE i think that's
a little bit more like. THAT i even saw someone
Say Darren waller, too which was one that kind of.
Speaker 3 (39:10):
Was it's not bad as, well CAN I so the
other part about The Citique angram. Comparison and by the,
Way gasiki was drafted forty second, overall so top half
of the second. Round it wasn't like he was A
day three pick or. Anything but Like, Gasiki sadik's college
stats are, good not. Great citik topped out at fifty
one catches five hundred and sixty yards At oregon in
(39:32):
his final. Season kasiki's final year stats At Penn state eerily.
Similar fifty seven catches five hundred and sixty three. Yards
kasiki averaged eleven point five yards per catch in. College
citik eleven point two yards, neither which is really great
for a guy who's supposed to be a playmaking tight,
end super. Athletic Can sidik have a BETTER nfl career Than? Gasiki,
(39:53):
absolutely and if you're drafting him in the first, round
you're banking on. It but athleticism at tight end does
always translate to receiving, Production so buyer beware. Here maybe he's,
like you, Know, DELUXE Theo, Johnson Deluxe Theo.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Johnson all, right how About Eli stowers From vanderbilt sixty two,
catches seven hundred and sixty nine, yards four. Touchdowns fits
did you have a come for?
Speaker 3 (40:15):
Him Dalton Kincaid stowers sixty four to two thirty Five
kincaid six four to two. Forty stours is, Faster But
kinkaid was this prolific pass Catcher. Utah you it's seventy
catches for eight hundred and ninety yards in his final college.
Season but Because kinkaid is a lighter tight, end he's
not on the field all the. TIME A kida career
(40:36):
low thirty eight percent snap share in the twelve games
he played for The bills this. Season he's never had
a snapshare above sixty three percent in THREE nfl. Seasons
AND i think that's the concern With Eli stowers that
because he's too light to be an inline, blocker he's
probably not going to be a full time player in
THE nfl and can't score fantasy points when you're on the.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Bench all, right how about for You, bogs what are
your to take On Elist?
Speaker 4 (40:59):
Dowers, yeah kind of the same stylistic Com isaiah. Likely
you know a guy that probably could be better than he,
is just needs a different team Because Mark andrews is still,
there but a dude that's not going to be on
the field for every single play because he's not really
an inline blocker As fits alluded. To So Eli, STOWERS
i think, probably you, know like just a bigger frame
(41:23):
in the shoulders, specifically maybe a little bit of a
better blocker Than isaiah, likely but still not good enough
to earn that inline role. CONSTANTLY i think he's going
to be.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
Just a big.
Speaker 4 (41:33):
Slot so hopefully he goes somewhere that does need a
lot of. Receptions that's what we want for, him so
he can say on the.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
Field one of the SHOWS i watch compared him To
Logan Thomas. Boggs what do you make of that?
Speaker 4 (41:44):
Comparison, YEAH i can see that both big like big shoulders, Too,
YEAH i can see that. ONE i don't hate that
comp all.
Speaker 1 (41:52):
Right so those are the tight. Ends and, obviously in
this process when everybody is gearing up for the combine
and looking, ahead when we're starting to look at film
and kind of you, know picking these players, apart sometimes
some gems kind of pop. Up AND i wanted to
take a moment at the other show to kind of
highlight some guys maybe for whatever, reason start to pop
off the page or off the YouTube, page maybe in some.
Highlights So Scott bogman in this process here in right
(42:14):
now scouting and everything right now is we're going ahead
for you, know prime dynasty rookie draft. Season who's some
guys that really popped off for you this?
Speaker 4 (42:21):
Year, hey like any RUNWAY i get to talk About Skyler,
Bell i'm talking About Skyler, bell the wide receiver From.
Ukon shorter, dude but just a dog, mentality hard, worker, motor, motor, motor,
fast great at the catch point as, well can win contested.
Catches reminds me a little bit Of Josh downs coming
in right a little. Bit he's got a little bit
(42:43):
Of Antonio brown in his movement style as. Well obviously
that's an insane Comp i'm just saying, stylistically the way he,
MOVES i could see him as sending a small school
guy that people aren't paying attention to as much because
there are some good wide receivers in this. Class not
going to be A day one, guy might not be
A day two, guy but he is going to be
good in THE nfl if given the. Runway So i'm
(43:04):
excited About Skyler.
Speaker 1 (43:05):
Belt you don't get a lot of guys From yukon
really popping out for THE nfl. Draft six foot one.
Speaker 4 (43:09):
Eighty John lobb's gonna love that.
Speaker 1 (43:11):
One John lobby is gonna love that. One our Buddy
john from The Bronze New york. TOO i didn't Realize
bell was from The. Bronx one hundred and one, receptions
twelve hundred, yards thirteen touchdowns for, him.
Speaker 4 (43:21):
And drops are his issue that a lot of people talk.
About cut him in half this year with more receptions
eight last year in twenty, four four in twenty twenty,
five so cut those in half and way more targets than.
Speaker 3 (43:32):
Catches he's A yukon guy by way of The university
Of wisconsin. Box so oh, Yeah i'm invested to.
Speaker 4 (43:39):
Better quarterback play At.
Speaker 1 (43:41):
Yukon Probably, Yes all, Right, fitzy how about an underrated
gem for you that's kind of popped up during the.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
PROCESS i Think Malachi fields like he was overshadowed obviously
By Jeremiah love the last couple of seasons At Notre
dame and the college numbers are merely, good not, Great
But Malachi fields might have had the best week of
any receiver at the senior ball and this dude's sixty
four to two hundred and five pounds and he is
going to put on a show at the, Combine like
(44:09):
if he runs a four to four at six four
and two hundred and five, pounds people are going to
be very. Excited and just let me throw in a
mention Of Adam randall, too like it's such a mixed
bag at wide, receiver just a fun guy because this
dude is big and fast and he has only played
running back for one. Season he was switched over from
(44:31):
wide receiver to running, back and he definitely has kind
of An Antonio gibson. Profile AND i know that's not
going to get a lot of people, excited but people
should remember That Antonio gibson double digit touchdowns in his
first TWO nfl. Seasons like if it all clicks in
For Adam, randall like the athletic tools are just.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
MARVELOUS i like.
Speaker 4 (44:52):
His Teammate Antonio williams as, well like a big slot,
GUY a good slot, PLAYER i should, say a, big
a big time prospect coming in but out of high,
school but a lot of injuries At, clemson who's a
little bit. Underrated So, yeah Those clemson guys are pretty
solid as.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
Well all, right those are the. Gems those are the.
