don't know if we were technically called this like an
off season show or our first in season version of
the show. Obviously we're gonna go every month all year long,
so it'll be you know, we.

I would say is kind of an off season lens
to be looking through and also an in season kind
of frame of mind.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
This week is kind of both.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Right, It's always probably the single busiest week of the
year working at Fantasy pros because there are still drafts
going on, so you have that side of things, but
you also have the early like Week one start sit decisions,
which are usually easier, right, it's pretty much the guys
you drafted to be in your starting lineup, but there
is still some of that, So it's both in the
same kind of three day stretch here that is always
mixed for a lot going on.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
It's us and you know, kind of an interesting time
in Dynasty, like at the lay of the Land from
the Cliff tops before you know, the start of the battle,
and you know, obsess value and obviously we are just
days away from those player values like changing immensely, Like

(01:19):
they're going to be bad week one injuries, they're going
to be surprise performances, they're going to be you know,
dud performances. Like all this stuff's gonna happen, and you know,
just got to remember, like our rosters are like starting
hands in poker. You know, like you might start with
a good hand, you might start with a bad hand,
but then the board card come and things completely changed

based on that, and like we're just days away from
seeing the board cards.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
We had a show earlier today over on Twitch where
you and I did a draft with the rest of
the content team folks. So there was Debro, there was
you and me, there was Bogman, who the Dynasty listening
obviously know very well.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
There was Ericson.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
There's Kelly Kirby, there was Joe, there was Welsh Terrell
was not on the stream, but he was a part
of that draft as well. So is Mike Mayer. So
just as a quick kind of at the top of
the show here, what was your takeaway from that draft experience?
Last year, we did the same thing with fourteen teams.
This year it was just twelve. But it's a PPR
three wide receiver, two flexes, so receivers very important.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
What were your thoughts coming out of that draft.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
Yeah, it was interesting to, you know, see some of
the different builds. I mean, there was an extreme zero
RB build we saw from one of our producers, and
you know, we had one of our John, our lead
producer at the other end, was just like hammering running
back and wide receiver. He was like not going to

be cheated on value at those positions and like totally
punted on quarterback and tightened.

Speaker 4 (02:52):
So there were a lot of different strategies working. I
don't think there.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Were any major surprises the first few, but uh, you know,
things get a little quirky after the fourth round or so.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
It's always really fun to do a draft like that
because I've been talking about drafting with you guys for
the last you know, several months, so I know your
strategy is extremely well, I know the exact players that
you like extremely well, and it's very like I wouldn't
say it was like a predictable draft for that reason,
but it was a very fun draft. In terms of like, oh,
I know this guy's not going to get back to

me because I know the guy picking later loves player X,
Y or Z, and so you have that kind of
added wrinkle of just that that level of familiarity, which
which makes it a lot of fun.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
It does.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
And you know, so since I got great of the
best draft, like, uh, I'm gonna blame our Fantasy Pros
tools if I don't win the championship, like our tools suck,
and no.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
We would never blame the Fantasy Pros I'm kidding my
best tools in the business. It was funny because one
of the producers who was doing the extreme you know,
zero RB build at one point was like, well, you know,
coach is telling me to do this, which is a
coach for those who don't know, as a feature in
the draft room through Fantasy Pros if you have a
Saint League, and we think it's a pretty valuable addition

to the Draft wizard. But he was like, well, if
you know, if I get it wrong and then it's
coach's fault, We're like, oh, don't blame coach here, right,
this is you know, this is user operator error. If
we make a mistake coach is great, so be sure
to check out those tools if you do have any
more drafts left.

I do have a couple left, actually fits.

I don't know how many you have left, but I've
got like one or two or more next couple of days. Yeah,
to bring things home, let's dive into the Dynasty conversation here.
We're gonna be talking and what we're gonna do what
we usually do, which is kind of go through the
most updated version of the Dynasty trade value chart. There
is an update that to that chart on the first
of every month all year long, no matter what. These

(04:45):
are kind of compiled by a collective effort that fits
as a part of So we're going to kind of
react to any kind of you know, big changes there,
anything that stands out, maybe even not changes, just players
that we feel are worth discussing that we think could
change as we get into the season. That'll be about
the first half hour ish or so, maybe at this
point we had a little bit of a long intro
maybe first twenty twenty five minutes of the show. Then
we'll answer some questions on the back end of the

show from you the audience. Those can be raising your
hand to hop up on the stages. We'll also go
through some of the chats being dropped in, you know,
in the chat function and discord as well. We always
start with the quarterbacks here fits clearly in a super
super flex format. It's the most kind of important position
to really get right. It's really really hard to compete
without that position solved, so it's one that you want

to pay close attention to.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
There's not a ton of huge changes. There are some
small changes. CJ.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Stroud went down a little bit, Rock Purdy went up
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
Bo Nix went up a little bit.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I believe bo Nix actually gained the most value of
anybody in this most recent update. Anthony Richardson continues to fall.
He's down at QB twenty eight. He dropped in in
value there. Daniel Jones, you know, on the other end
of that, goes up a little just because he is
going to be a starting quarterback this year. That means something,
not that we're over the moon about him. And then

(06:00):
a couple of the rookies went up as well, Jackson,
Dart and cam Ward. So none of these, like I said,
were major, huge sweeping changes. But do any of those
stand out to you? As minor change is worth hitting on.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
I mean, I think the Knicks increase in value, it
just sort of matches. I don't know what I guess
I'm seeing in the market. Maybe not so much in trades,
but just it seems like there's confidence in bo Nicks.
Like he is weird after one year, sort of a
made man, it seems like, and like hopefully Evan Ingram

(06:33):
helps him with I don't know. It seems like a
lot of the Broncos passing game last year was either
like screens or big plays, and maybe Evan Ingering gives
them that sort of intermediate weapon that Bnix could use.
But I get it, like there's a lot of confidence
in him, and I think this value increase reflects that.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
I feel like I would still be more interested in
some of the quarterbacks that are a little below him.
It's very close, so I'm not saying that it's some
huge mistake to have him there.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
And it is.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Also reflective of what we've talked about a ton, which
is of course the depth at the position. But I look,
you know, bo Nix's tenth, you know, highest value quarterback,
technically tied for ninth with CJ.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
Stroud.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Some of the names after him, though, Brock Purty, Jordan Love,
Caleb Williams, JJ McCarthy. A little further down, Baker Mayfield,
Trevor Lawrence, cam Ward, Kyler, Murray, you like Michael Panix,
Bryce Young, Dak Prescott. I mean that gets us down
to QB twenty one, And every single name I just
mentioned would not surprise me for them to have a
better season than bo Nicks this year.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
I'm not saying they all will you.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
I'm not saying Nick should be down in the twenties,
but every one of those guys individually, my job would
not be on the floor for them. I would be
surprised by some of them, I wouldn't be shocked, I guess,
is what I should say. And some of them I
like quite a bit more Like I really like Jordan Love.
We've talked a lot. I'm very high in him this year.
You know, dev Ro is obviously very high on JJ McCarthy.
Caleb Williams could take a big step in year two.
So does it feel right, even if we're raising bo

(07:56):
Nix's value, does it feel right that he's ahead of
all of those different names.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah, I mean, so there's not a big gap between
Bo Nix and Brock Purty, Jordan Love, Caleb Williams JJ McCarthy. Like,
those guys are all really close, and I do think
that's kind of a tier, and I'm sort of with you.
I think I would rather personally have Purty or Love.
But you know, it's not you know, me arbitrarily setting

(08:22):
these rankings. They're done based on the you know, rankings
of all the Fantasy pros analysts in Dynasty. Tell me, Worm,
who would you rather BNICKX or Caleb Williams going forward?

Speaker 1 (08:34):
If you had said Love, it would have been an
easy answer. Love for me, Caleb is a less easy answer.
I think you have to say Bo Nicks because just
like it was better. And for as much as we're
excited about Caleb Williams having a huge upgrade at you know,
the coach and play caller position for him, Bonix already

(08:55):
has it. He doesn't need an upgrade because he has
one of the best offensive play callers and designers of
the last twenty five years already as his head coach.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
That he's now in year two of instead of year one.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
We know that Nicks can run a little bit too,
which is really helpful so I think the correct answer
probably is to have bo Nicks higher. If somebody said, like, listen,
I'm willing to kind of throw out your one for
Caleb because of the coaching situation and the offensive line situation,
this guy was a generational prospect, and I am like
planting my flag that he is going to look like

(09:25):
the guy we expected this year. I wouldn't argue strongly
against that, and it might even be the way that
I would approach building a team more from a philosophical
standpoint than from these two individual player evaluation standpoint. But
I think it's proper and correct that Nix is at
least ranked higher.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Yeah, I think he's safer. Oh, Caleb Williams. The issue
with him is he's such a wild stallion at quarterback
who kind of like thrives on playing off script and everything,
and that's not what Ben Johnson wants him to do.
He wants, you know, three step drop ball us out.
That's how Ben Johnson wants Caleb Williams to play, and

(10:05):
like that seems like he could be an oil and
water mix. And if Caleb can't play the Ben Johnson style,
all of a sudden, Caleb is at a career crossroads
at a pretty early stage in his career.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
It happens quick, especially for quarterbacks where there's just so
much pressure to get it right just quickly. Not any
names that moved, but any names that didn't move. Who
would you expect a month from now to have moved
the most? If in the first season of the of
our kind of our in season coverage break May, he's.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Already pretty high. He's he's already QB eight in here,
So you think he gets much higher?

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Well, I mean in my rankings these QB six and
I think, yeah, he could get up that high, Like,
you know, I think he could be like the clear
QB six, although I kind of expect Patrick Mahomes to
maybe have a bounce back season and and sort of
be the star we used to see of him. But yeah,
like he has a really early season, really soft early

(11:03):
season schedule, which is going to help him immensely. And
like I think the extra pass catching firepower he has
now with Stefan Diggs, like that's gonna be his best
buddy in the passing game. Like I think Diggs is
going to have a good year and that's gonna be
his go to and you know, when you've got Damaria
Douglas and Kayshaun Booty, is your two and three receiver

(11:26):
better instead of or one and two, that's probably a
good thing.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
He might not raise much in the like kind of rankings,
but in terms of the value, there's a gap between
the top six and then Justin Herbert at seven, who's
really tied with Drake May at eight. So even if
he's not maybe like jumping up multiple spots in the rankings,
it'd be more like changing that gap, like he's a
part of that higher tier rather than the Tieri's currently

(11:53):
sitting in.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
And by the way, Ben Money here in the chat
just mentioned Justin or odd excuse me JJ McCarthy as
a guy who could certainly take a big lead right away,
like if he shows like I don't know capability right away,
Like he is a guy who everyone could be like, yeah,
I totally believe in this, you know, because right now,

(12:15):
that's the only thing holding is his dynasty trade value
down is that we have not seen him do it
at the NFL level. Yet he does it right away
and proves he can do it, that value is going
to soar.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
By now everybody knows that that would have been Debro's
pick and also by now, most of you have probably

The huge riser to literally zero surprise to anybody listening
is Jacorey krossky Merritt. I do want to ask, there
was a depth start that came out from the Commanders
earlier this afternoon. It was very you know, close to
when we started recording, so I don't know if you
saw this or not, Fits, but it had as RB
four behind it was Eckler, Jeremy McNichols, and.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Chris Rodriguez.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
So sorry, didn't have it up in front mail, so
trying to remember all the names. So, you know, Bill
being up here at RB thirty five tied with you know,
in value with guys like Jordan Mason and Tyrone. Tracy
Junior re scared off a little bit by the depth chart.
Do you expect it to play out that way throughout
the season. Do you expect him to rise even further
if he does become the starter?

Speaker 4 (14:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (14:15):
No, The veteran deference thing is really annoying with the
depth chart. You know, like Jeremy McNichols has been around
a long time. I guess that's Todd Bowle's way of
giving a hat tip to him.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
But like it's just silly.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Obviously he's going to have a much bigger role than
Jeremy McNichols, is.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
I just right now?

Speaker 3 (14:37):
He might be the starting running back, but he's not
going to be getting the high value touches, which are
the pass receptions and the goal line carries.

Speaker 4 (14:46):
Eckler's going to catch most of the passes and.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Chris Rodriguez is apparently going to get most of the
goal line work. So yeah, I'm I'm on one hand,
this is a guy who's been like popping since OTA's
in the spring, had a great training camp, Like maybe
there's real sneaky star potential here for Jacory Krofsky merrit well,

not so sneaky because there's a boatload of hype for him.
But if he's not a star, like people are going
to be disappointed in the value because he's not getting
those high value touches and that's where you can score
a lot of fantasy points. Like if he's just the
between the twenties back and look, it's not only like

(15:34):
Eckler and Rodriguez cutting into his show his share of
like the rushing attempts in yard edge, it's Jaden Daniels
who's going to rush for eight hundred to nine hundred yards.
It's Deebo Samuel who's going to occasionally get some carries.
Like it could amount to like less than we're hoping for.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
I want to ask about a smaller change in terms
of how much the change like affected the ranking, But
a bigger change is in terms of like the where
the ranks are taking place, and I'm talking about inside
the top five. We previously had Saquan as RB four.
He's now tied with Devan A Chan. Who's who's sitting
in that four spot? Technically nobody's gonna argue with the
first three Jean Gibbs and gent Who do you have

(16:17):
as RB four?

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Because like, I would feel.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Pretty uncomfortable putting a Chan there, despite how good he
has been when everybody's healthy, because just because there are
so many health related question marks, both like from him.
I know he's, you know, gonna be ready by week
one and everything, but just him and Tua and all
of that, Like, I feel like I would just rather
have one of these other running backs are a few
spots below him. I know you are a huge fan
of a Chan just as a player, did you have

(16:41):
him as RB four, And do you think it's right
to have him kind of like tied here with Saquan
or would you consider anybody else in that RB four spot,
which I think I think. I bet if you ask
ten different fantasy analysts, you get seven different answers.

Speaker 5 (16:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (16:52):
I have Omarion Hampton number four, so ahead of both
Barkley and Chen And I think Hampton could be a
monster just from the get go. I love that, like
this guy is built for war, Like he has got
a body to handle heavy work, you know, and like
I guess he's been just like a monster in the

(17:14):
weight room since he was you know, young, like in
high school. I don't know what he squats, something like
six hundred pounds or something, and like has all these
weight room crazy weightroom numbers, Like he is great. And
you know I mentioned this on another show today. Well
this was actually pointed out on the Athletic Football podcast,

(17:34):
like someone was marveling at how O'maron Hampton led the
acc in rushing the year after Drake May left, which
was really impressive because like the overall caliber of the offense,
when a quarterback like May leaves, the system is obviously
going to take a big hit didn't slow down Hampton
at all. He just continued to churn out great numbers,

(17:56):
not only as a runner but as a pass catcher.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
Like he's got a well rounded skill.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Said, I think he's terrific, and you know it's going
to be a fantastic dynasty asset for a long time.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
I want to spend just a little more time on
running back than we are the next positions, particularly receiver,
because there wasn't as much movement there there was.

Speaker 2 (18:13):
There were some big changers at running back.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Brian Robinson Junior drops obviously, that's very clear what happened there.
I don't think we need to really dive into it,
but there was a lot of you know, other guys.
Joe Mixon drops a lot. Again, it's it's clear what's happening.
You could not pay me to roster Joe Mixon on
any the Kinnasty team at this point. But then the
other one that I wanted to ask about is Ali Gordon,
who is has been kind of a fun slipper that
there is interested in. I just kind of hit on

(18:37):
a chan, you know, in terms of this backfield. I
hit it on from the chan side of things. But
what do you make of Oli Gordon. He's actually bumped
up a lot. He's now RB fifty one kind of
in our value, tied with you know, five other guys there,
so he could be a size really RB forty seven,
and it's a jump up from about the range about
RB seventy five, So it's a lot of value he's gained.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
Yeah, I'll Gordon is a really interesting case.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Had that monstrous sophomore season at Oklahoma State with like
seventeen hundred rushing yards and like twenty one touchdown runs.
Then before his junior year, I think he got a
DUI in the summer and then just like did not
have a very good junior year but decided to come
out and enter the draft anyway. And uh, in training

(19:23):
camp in the preseason, we pretty much got the sophomore
year Oli Gordon. Like he looked like this big wrecking
ball and you know, a style not totally unlike Omarion Hampton.
So that's interesting because that's a very different style than
what you get from Devon Chan, this little lightning guy.

(19:45):
So if they go with a thunder and lightning combo,
you know, Oli Gordon is an interesting piece of thunder.
There and you know, I personally, I don't think Jalen
Wright is that good, and I think maybe the Dolphins
already like Ali Gordon.

Speaker 4 (20:03):
More than they like Jalen Right.

Speaker 3 (20:04):
And then Jalen Right is kind of hurt to boot
and now a Chan has got this calf injury, so
it's possible we see Ali Gordon have a pretty substantial
role right away. So yeah, I mean, he was one
of those guy Day three backs, you know, a lot
of whom we had lumped together in terms of like,
you know, sort of could be value down in like

(20:25):
the RB sixty ish range in our dynasty rankings and
on our trade value chart, and olly Gordon has definitely
distinguished himself from the pack.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Let's look at the wide receivers here. Not a ton
of changes at the top. Drack London does move up
and he's now tied for fifth, which I'm sure is
I'm driven by everybody, but I'm sure Deebro had a
big voice in that part of the ranking shifting because
he's so high on London this year. A lot of
real minor changes in the top ten, nothing major besides
that ce Roald McMillan is now inside the top twelve.

Speaker 2 (20:58):
He is a wide receiver one indynasty.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
According to this trade value chart, he has sandwiched between
Lad McConkie and Jackson Smith and Jigba. It would not
shock me if McMillan looked like the clear best dynasty
wide receiver of those three by this time next year
or even by this time next month, like it would Like,
I just think there's so much of a runway right
for him to just get so many targets early on
with what we think is going to be an improved

(21:21):
offense over the course of the season, and he's already
a good player, Like I couldn't put him inside that
that top nine that feels pretty unassailable. The top nine
names getting up to wide receiver ten though, Like that
feels really doable to me.

Speaker 4 (21:36):
Yeah, absolutely, I don't know what there is to add
to that. I love the guy. I think he's going
to be a star from the jump.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
We now have Travis Hunter just kind of sticking with
the rookies.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Travis Hunter and e Meca Guka are tied in the
trade value chart there wide receiver sixteen and wide receiver seventeen.
Hunter didn't move to make that happen at Guka jumped
up which of those rookies would you rather have?

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Obviously, just as strictly as a player.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
We know what Travis Hunter is, but we we I
could finally after this show the next home we do
this stop just guessing about what the usage is going
to be and we can actually react to what it is.
I know it has kind of been leaning more and
more towards the offensive side, but just given that we
know it's what the role is for Igbuka and the

(22:22):
fact that he also like McMillan, has this real runway
of opportunity to start off the season. Is there a
case we made that you'd rather have him than Hunter
in a dynasty format?

Speaker 6 (22:31):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (22:31):
Yeah, there is.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
They're tied for sixteenth and the rankings and our trade
value chart. I've got a book of wide receiver fifteen
and Hunter Wide Receiver eighteen. And the appeal is that
we know a mechag Buka is going to be playing
wide receiver or the duration of his NFL career, whereas
Travis Hunter, like we just that has been my fear
all along. We don't know what exactly his offensive and

(22:57):
defensive usage is going to be, and it's always possible,
like it's not static. That's the thing that the Jaguars
can always turn the dials on this and you know,
move his offensive usage up or down, or his defensive
usage up or down. And it's not like the Jaguars
have a great group of cornerbacks right now. So I'm
a little worried about that.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Some other names that moved up in the latest edition
of the value chart, Ricky Piersoll, Jamison Williams, George Pickens,
Matthew Golden is now inside the top thirty. I agree
with that. I have liked to more and more as
the summer has gone along. Calvin Ridley obviously, usually you
expect the guys who are younger it to take big
steps forward, but just the situation improving for him. It's

(23:40):
not like he's crazy old yet or anything. He moves
up a bit still in the wide receiver forty one,
so not like he's super high. Some guys who have
kind of changed in our estimation. Amongst the rookies that
are further down, Jack Besh drops a bit, He's at
wide reseer fifty six now, and Isaac law goes up

(24:01):
a bit. He's now up to wide receiver sixty. So
those guys are a lot closer than they were. I
liked Besh a lot during kind of rookie draft season
in May. At this point, though, like Tesla has been
really impressive this summer.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
He has been.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
I think I'm not sure did he lead the NFL
in preseason receiving yardage? I'm not sure about that, but
I'm pretty sure his three touchdown catches in the preseason
led the NFL. And granted that the Lions did get
an extra game because they had the Hall of Fame game,
but like some of his catches were like highlight reel stuff.

(24:38):
So you know, like I questioned that trade when it
was made, Like basically, you know, they traded a third
round pick to move up in the third run, but
they traded two future thirds.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
And I don't know.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Every time I think Brad Holmes makes like a bad
move in the draft, like it turns out working out
for him. So like he's a pretty shrewd guy and

Let's go to the tight ends here to wrap things up.
No change for Brock Bauers, no change change for Trade McBride.
We have a pretty big jump for Tyler Warren who
is now tight ended three, which is like not like
he had been kind of tied at the hip of
Colston Loveland, right, and maybe early on we preferred Loveland,
and then maybe like based on some of the early

(25:30):
usage and just what we're anticipating from the offense of
this year, we start to like Warn a bit more.
But there's now not that it's some massive gap, but
there is now a gap between the two, and in fact,
Sam Laporta sits in between them. Tyler Warren essentially tied
with Laporta just a little bit ahead of Loveland. So
is that something that was driven by you as a

(25:50):
part of this rankings process? Was it other folks? I'm
curious where you stand. I know you like Warren better,
especially for this year, but I'm curious where you stand
on seeing an actual gap between the two.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
I mean, I think it was unanimous.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Like I know Andrew Erickson is a huge Tyler Warren
fan too, and it's just the fact that we saw
him like well in addition to like this excellent training
camp he had playing basically every snap with the starters
in the preseason and not really coming off the field
like that bodes really well for his usage. I think

(26:27):
he gets an additional bomp, probably with Daniel Jones winning
the starting job instead of Anthony Richardson. You know, I
think that means more completions per game for the Colts
passing attack and just all systems go for this guy
like he does seem.

Speaker 4 (26:43):
Like he might be another George Kittle.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
It's hard hard to see what the case would be
against him, right, Like, obviously nobody's touching at least at
this point in time, those top two.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Tight ends in our dynasty rankings.

But like I would be totally fine with somebody saying, like, listen,
Sam Laporta has a tight end one season under his belt,
We're not going to overreact to a down second year.
Like he deserves to be ahead of this rookie at
a position where rookies more recently they do but historically
don't perform early. But if you want to put him
ahead of Laporta, I totally get it. Like there it

just it just feels very like a very fun and
exciting time to be invested as heavily as you can
be in Tyler Warren Great Tucker Craft is another guy
who moved up a lot, and those are basically my
two favorite Redraft tight end sleepers this year are Craft
and Warren if I don't get one of the big three,
So I feel somewhat fitting that they're also kind of
rising in the dynasty value.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
He's up to tight end seven.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
When you look at at Tucker Craft, like you're obviously
a Packers fan, so you know the team really well.
Do you think the usage really will get to the
point it needs to be Because we always talk about
the key to a successful fantasy tight end, and Andrew
Cooper talks about this a lot front of the show,
how you need to have a very reasonable clear to
being a top two target on your offense. Do you

(28:03):
see that happening for Craft, because like, on the one hand,
I feel like you could make that case because there's
not all these obvious pass catchers ahead of him. On
the other hand, it's been such a spread the ball
around type of offense, and they do know how this
first round ride receiver, like if they are going to
have an alpha, you know theoretically it could be him
instead that I just worry about crut Like, I think
Crafts always gonna be really efficient. I think is gonna
be one of my favorite tight ends in the league

(28:24):
in a vacuum. But for fantasy, what do you what
do you think about the usage trim to be as
highly ranked as he now is in our trade value chart.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
I do think he has that uh Andrew Cooper path
to being the number two target on his team, because
I just like, I don't know if there's anyone on
the Packers who is guaranteed to get a hundred targets
this year. It could be a true ensemble cast, like
great reports on Golden from training camp in the preseason.

(28:52):
I mean, we'll see, We'll see what happens when the
curtain goes up.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
You know.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
I think Dobbs has shown that he's like, you know,
ideally a wide receiver three type. Who knows if don
Tavian Wicks will ever get over some of his uh,
you know, hands issues, and like Jaden Reid trying to
play the season with a Jones fracture in his foot,
that seems.

Speaker 4 (29:13):
Like it could be fraught with peril.

Speaker 3 (29:16):
So yeah, I mean, Craft could maybe being the top
target isn't entirely out of the question.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
The only other tight end that I wanted to just
briefly hit on again, there's a lot of minor movements
that everybody should go. Check this out of fantasypros dot com.
You can also just google Fantasy Pro's Dynasty trade value chart.
It's the September update. But the other one that I
wanted to hit on is Isaiah Likely he goes down
a little in value. I actually think that's a mistake.
He's still inside the top fifteen at the position. But
this injury that he had is not like a long

(29:44):
term one, and I'm still really confident that he's going
to be a starter next year, like without this Mark
Andrews competition, and it wouldn't shock me if by November
of this year, assuming that he does come back from
the foot injury healthy, if he takes over the role
this year, like I'm really high on a likely. Obviously,
he's younger than Andrew's and I don't think they're going
to extend both of them with their contracts up this year,

(30:05):
So that feels like a little bit of an overreaction
to me in terms of, you know, the foot injury
this August, I don't think that's a long term one,
and I think there's a very real chance that by
the end of December or let's say, by the end
of March when we see kind of how the chess
pieces fall in terms of who signs with what team,
that he is a clear cut top ten tight end

(30:27):
in Dynasty and maybe even higher than that.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Yeah, I mean we still like him long term, and
he's a guy I would expect to be higher in
our Dynasty rankings and on this trade value chart a
year from now. But you know, the fact that he's
going into the season hanged up a little, I mean
it does kind of put a dent in his value
for twenty twenty five. So I understand the drop off,
but I tend to agree with you, Like we know

it's from this point it's way more likely to go
up than down as far.

As its value.

I mean, he's either tied with or behind guys like
Elijah Royo and Mason Taylor. I'm not sure how much
twenty twenty five value those guys are adding either, So
you know, just as like non elite rookie tight ends,
So like, if he's bumping down to like, I would
just rather have him than those guys because we've seen
what he can do with the ball in his hands

at the NFL level when he's on the field.

in drafts. I think there is a lot of potential
for him to have an explosive Week one because they're
facing the Bengals, who I don't expect to have a

very good run defense. And I know that, like you know,
maybe Jerome fod As the veteran, we'll kind of have
the opportunity first. But I just think Sampson is really explosive.
I like his fit in this running game. I like
the player. The opportunity will be there given all the
Judkins stuff, whether he's a sell high or not is
tougher because what his usage will be throughout the course

(32:51):
of the season is maybe a little murkier than what
I think.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
It'll be in Week one.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
But I love the idea of starting him in Week one,
even over guys you drafted ahead of him.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
Yeah, over a LAVA.

Speaker 3 (33:02):
I'm not sure I could do that in a PPR league,
Like I'm probably sticking with the Lave there, but it
would not surprise me if we did see Sampson have
a good day against that Bengals run defense.

I mean, just think back.

Speaker 3 (33:13):
To that nationally televised preseason game against the Commanders where
both Jacory Krossky Merrit and Chris Rodriguez ripped off big
runs against that defense that looked just very.

Speaker 4 (33:25):
Soft and disinterested. Though it is possible.

Speaker 3 (33:29):
But the other thing, it does sound like a quin
Shawn Judkins signing is imminent, so that is going to
probably offset and he gains that.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
But there'll be a ramp up period for him. I
mean he's not there will be.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
I mean we're just taught, Like I mean, Quinn Shawn
Judkins and Dylan Samson are both going to be in
Rooky contract, So it's not like Judkins is really going
away and he was an early second round pick. I
just think he's going to be an obstacle for Samson.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Another comment replying to that one says that they're looking
at flexing the running back over a Lave as well
in Week one. Thinking about Dobbins, Dobbins obviously started off
last season really hot.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Now I don't know.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
On the one hand, I think that I could I
could see Sean Payton really just liking the veteran and
saying Dobbin's is a good player. When healthy, Let's use
him as much as we can before his inevitable injury.
On the other hand, like Dobbins had this great start
last year when there wasn't any other competition in the backfield.
It was Camanie, Vitdell and Gus Edwards. Now we have
this running back that we really like in RJ. Harvey
that he has competition for in the backfield. But as

(34:35):
far as Week one goes, would you be interested in
starting Dobbins over a guy like a Lave.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
No, I've got a Lave ranked wide receiver twenty four
in my Week one rankings, Okay, And like I think
he's a fantastic player, and like the main concern with
him is like the concussion history.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
All he's healthy now, you know.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
And this is a guy who has averaged for his
career two point two to one yards per rout run
on which puts him in Jamar Chase ced Lamb territory.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
Like a Lave is really good.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
But obviously the concussion concerns and the quarterback obstacle still.
I expect that the quarterback obstacle is going to be
somewhat offset by what should be a massive target chair
this year.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
Who would you take second overall? In a non superflex
keeper startup, you can keep three players, so it's not
like a true dynasty, but you do get three keepers
second overall in that format, not superflex.

Speaker 3 (35:36):
Not superflex. Do we know if they have to start
three or two receivers?

Speaker 4 (35:42):
I mean, that's the thing. If you start, we're going
to say.

Speaker 1 (35:45):
I was just gonna say, it doesn't specify here. It
also doesn't specify like tight end premium or anything. I
would only I would consider hours if it was tight
in premium. If not, I probably wouldn't. So it doesn't
specify the ross limitations. He might he might drop it
in the comments and we can follow up on that one. Oh,
it says two receivers, non tight end premium. He did
follow up, thanks real bend money.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Oh, only two receivers. So I mean I'm going and
we're would you take third or second? Second, second?

Speaker 1 (36:15):
Bjeon actually just chasing Bjeon whichever one gets to you?

Speaker 4 (36:20):
Yeah, yeah, I think so.

I think I think that's fair considering that it's only
a two receiver format. Nor if it was three, I
think I would say, you know, Lamb or Jefferson, but
not not in that scenario. I'm I'm totally on board
with with taking the running back. It's also not a
true diynasty, right, You're only keeping three, so I'm not
as worried about like the longevity of running back, first

(36:43):
receiver or anything like that.

So I agree with you.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
How concerned would you be if you're a Caleb Johnson
manager and Jalen Warren signing this two year extension Johnson
now litit his RB three on the depth chart.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
Yeah, it's uh scary, And like this depth chart thing
might not just be veteran deference because we did see
Kenneth gain While play ahead of Caleb Johnson in the preseason,
So surprise, surprise, Arthur Smith jerking around another rookie running
back kind of like he did with Bjehn Robinson a
couple of years ago in Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
And yeah, that's an issue.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
And this probably is not going to be the most
potent offense in the league that they have in Pittsburgh.
And can Caleb Johnson be trusted in past protection with
a forty year old quarterback? So I'm a little concerned
that the Jalen Warren extension, Like, yeah, and we saw

(37:44):
Caleb Johnson take a little bit of a hit in
the Dynasty trade value chart, like he lost I think
four points of value, so I'm a little nervous, and
I've been kind of drafting around him in redraft, like
I kind of don't want him in a redraft this year.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
So I actually have Caleb Johnson in three of my
Dynasty leagues.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
He is the rookie running back I have the most of.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
And you know, I don't feel awesome about it, right
I'm still really excited about the potential of his fit
in this offense if he gets the chance. But it
remains to be seen that he'll get the chance that
I'm hoping for. I actually this is a good opportunity.
I want to ask you about a trade that I
just made in the Tags Invitational League. I don't know

(38:28):
if you saw the trade that went through. I didn't
hear from you about it, but I was curious. It
was offered to me by Dalton dell Don from the
Deep Shot over with Andy Barns, and he offered me
Caleb Johnson.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
He his team is very good in this league, so
I expect that I so expect picks involved to be late.

Speaker 1 (38:47):
But he offered me Caleb Johnson A twenty twenty six
first his own and Roma doonsay, and I had to
give him Travon Henderson and Brian Robinson Junior.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
Now, the Brian Robinson side I don't really care about.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
I don't really anticipate him having a ton of Dynasty value,
you know, going forward.

He's a backup.

Like, yes, he could be helpful in season and Becafick
gets hurt or whatever.

He's not a nothing.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
But like from the Dynasty perspective, that's not really the
important part of the trade. The other guy, the other
pieces involved are all real assets to varying degrees. So
again it was Caleb Johnson, ROMADOONSA and A late twenty
twenty six first for Travon Henderson and Brian Robinson Junior.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
What would you have done with that?

Speaker 3 (39:27):
I love the trade for you and I forgot too.
I did see it come through. I think I was
walking my dog when I saw that. Got the email,
and yeah, I mean he is obviously shoving in all
the chips on Trayvon Henderson. But like going into this draft,
like there were some people who like Caleb more than
Traveon Henderson. I think Debro was one of them, for instance.

(39:51):
But man like to make that exchange, and really like,
I think Brian Robinson is kind of a nothing burger,
So like, even if Travy Henderson turns out to be
way better than Caleb Johnson, you also got Romo Dunese,
a top ten wide receiver last year, and.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
Yes he had one.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
You know, the rookie year was not the lift off
we were hoping for, but maybe that comes to fruition
this year in the Ben Johnson offense and a twenty
twenty six first granted a late first from you know,
a good team. I just yes, I like that package
of assets you got, and you know, maybe you'll be

kicking yourself if Trevion is a super duper star, but
if he's not, it's probably gonna work out in your favor.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
The other thing is like my team is more of
a middle of the pack team, Like I'm more of
a playoff contender than a title contender. So I just
like the idea of like, I'm not trying to necessarily
go all in with the best player in the deal
this year. I like getting multiple assets and it felt
to me like essentially getting three first round rookie draft
picks for him because Caleb Johnson was a first rounder

(41:00):
in most leagues this year. Romadunday was a was a
top seven pick in every league a year ago, and
then another first rounder of next year. So it felt
like I'm getting three first for Travan.

The only thing.

The reason I didn't accept it right away for one reason,
which was I already have Caleb Johnson in other leagues
and this was my only Dynasty league with Trevon Henderson,
so it's like, you don't want to have the fomo
of missing out, but like, he's a guy that's had
some injury stuff in college. We don't expect them. I
love Henderson, right I don't like giving him away, but
it just felt like too much and it would not
shock me fits if Romaduonday was a top twelve receiver

(41:31):
in Dynasty going forward. I'm not expecting that, but that's
how I felt about him a year ago. And if
I'm willing to kind of give Caleb Williams a pass,
I want to be willing to give Roma Doonsday a
pass for the same situation.

Speaker 2 (41:41):
Is So again, I'm not betting.

Speaker 1 (41:43):
I'm not saying you should value him as a top
twelve guy, but it wouldn't stun me if that happened.
So there is a world where he ends up being
the best piece in this whole deal.

You strengthen your infrastructure with this Dale.

Yeah, all right, let's get to some more questions from
folks on their own teams. But I want to I
wanted to get your opinion on that, because you are
in that league as well. You are also the beneficiary
of a wonderful trade offer that got you Ashton genty
earlier this summer in that league.

Oh yeah, I was, And now I forget what I
gave up for that, But.

It was not It was like Kyle Pitts and Terry
McLaurin or something like that.

It was more than that.

I think it wasn't much more. I remember being pretty
shocked by it. What is the value this is from Josh?
What is the value of Lamar Jackson in a Dynasty
super Flex league? Literally as high as anybody? Whatever is
the most you could get for something? He, Josh Allen
and Jayden and Daniels to me, should be the first
three picks in a Dynasty super Flex startup. There is
nobody that I would rather have ahead of Lamar besides

Josh Allen. I know Fitz would rather have Jade Daniels,
but those are the only guys even in the conversation
for me, You're like, the conversation starts at three first
round picks, and I don't think that's enough in a
vacuum for a Dynasty super Flex league for either of
those three guys.

Yeah, I mean, that's that's kind of it. Yeah, I mean,
And and like you can look at our trade value
chart and it says like, oh maybe, uh you know,
in a like Rock Powers, And I don't know if
Powers is the best case, but say like basically double

Tray McBride, Trey mcbriden, someone of his ilk, Like I know,
Trey McBride and Traveon Henderson, well's the value of.

Lamar Jackson.

But like, I'm not taking Trey McBride and Traveon Henderson
for Lamar Jackson in a super Fly's.

Just truthfully, what I really need is probably it's probably
like Jamar Chase and a first and some other smaller
piece like which sounds like a huge amount, But I
can't like the Dynasty super Flex Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen,
and I know for you Jade and Daniels as well,
like there is nobody's untouchable, but they're as close as
it gets.

Yeah, you either have to really pile on the first
round draft picks, or like with Jamar Chase, like another superstar,
someone who gives you that massive value over average that
you get because like piling up a bunch of average
or slightly above average players on the other side isn't
going to do it. It's that massive value over average

that Lamar Jackson gives you that's so attractive.

emphasis was sort of un youth like he's got Oh,

I'm just looking at the rookie rankings. Yeah, I never
know what to do with a question like this form.
I'm basically just waiting and playing it out. And you know,
chance I would say.

As I look at this team that I would be
trying to trade for a receiver. To me, that's the
biggest thing you could use as a star receiver to
kind of slid everybody else down a spot. So if
you could flip you know, maybe like a James Connor
and for somebody who's trying to win now for a
young receiver that we think could take a step forward,
that would be my goal. Because obviously quarterbacks are already strong,

tight end is strong, the running backs are really strong,
and I really like Tedoro McMillan and Elave.

But I'd like to see another receiver in there, So
that would be kind of my recommendation.

No, I'd much rather of Garrett Wilson in Dynasty and
I know he hasn't seriously popped yet, but part of
that is the quarterback issues he's been having. Like I
feel like eventually like there might be a thirteen or
fourteen hundred yard season out there for Garrett Wilson, maybe
more than that. And I'm just like not that big
on Cook, especially since the Bills like to use an
ensemble cast at running back.

One of the comments here from TB he's trying to
trade Teteroa McMillan, Jay Flowers and a twenty twenty six
first for Cuba Hubbard and Brian Thomas junior. Is that
enough for him to be offering to try and get
Brian Thomas junior? Again, that's Ted McMillan, Jay Flowers and
a twenty twenty six first for Cuba Hubbard and Brian
Thomas junior.

Yeah, I think it's a fair offer.

And we've talked about this, like ideally you're not starting
both Jacksonville wide receivers, so I think it does make

Yeah, there's there's so much upside with Hunter too that
like it's it's a very sellable trade. To write the
other manager, I can see why would appeal to them
and also appeal to you. To me, it feels fair

Mitchell is anything to me other than an explosive like

It is a superflex. He's got Kyler Murray and Drake

we have Herbert ranked pretty high, so getting him as nice.
And of course you know, Lamb is one of the
few receivers that's an upgrade over over London.

So yeah, that's the thing. But like how much of
an upgrade, you know what I mean? Would would it
be a total shock if London were considered more valuable,
the more valuable asset at the end of this year, Like,
I feel like they're pretty close, and I don't know
that Pennix isn't that close to like I could see

him overtaking Herbert. So I don't know, considering how good
Jamo looked last year and that he's still pretty young,
I don't know if that's enough of an upgrade for
me at wide receiver and quarterback to want to do that,
to want to throw in Jmo those upgrades, Like, I
think that's a little too much to give up for

young upside all these years I've been old Nondo Williams

Yeah, And I know, like just Pennix has had a
slightly worrisome injury history in college, and you know, Herbert
is this maybe the only thing holding him back from
being putting up elite numbers is just the system he's

So I know there are people who think less of
Pennix than I do, who would say, yeah, you should
take this deal. But personally and I just think Jamo's
a little too much juice to throw in for you
know what's maybe a slight wide receiver upgrade and you know.

if Walker went down that sharbon Ay would be both
the clear starter and a very productive starter. That's actually

backfield situations are kind of murkier once you get past
the top guy sharbon A, Like, we know he's good,
we know we think he fits his offense, and we

know that Walker has an injury history.

So like a first feels like too much to me.

But if you can get away with less than that,
I'd be pretty on board with that.

Our trade value charts is late first is like fair
value for sharbon A. So like if if you were
to if it's a good team, well, actually, if you're
convinced your team is going to be, you know, a
top three or top four playoff content, maybe it's worth
offering your first for it. But maybe I don't know,

maybe a second and some like young other young piece
from your roster. Do you have anyone riding the bench
for you who's like, uh, you know, young player who
doesn't really have his opportunity for playing time yet.

the ball successfully. And now you've got that backfield nailed down,

doubt they would do it for Craft or Andrews, but
like something like that, I'd be more open to. It's
if you wanted to do it, I wouldn't blame you,
but I think the answer is probably no.
