Eastern time. I'm your host, Seth Wilcock, and I'm once
again joined by man who's just been burning that midnight
oil lately to make sure y'all are ready to dominate
your drafts. It's Derek Brown akdbro. What's up, brother? How
(00:44):
are you this hump day? If that's what the kids
are still calling, I'm not sure I'm not young anymore.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
I'm in my forties, dude. I've lost a lingo. My
point that I've moved to in life, Seth, both of
my teenagers who have got one in high school, in
junior high. My fun thing in life now is to
use jen alpha slang and just absolutely embarrass them, especially
when we're out and about. It's a fun time when
you use a lot of gen alpha slang when you're
(01:10):
in the oh, I don't know, the drive through a
McDonald's and they're stuck in the car and they can't
get away.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
It's a good time, dude. But no, happy to be here.
It's good. Yesterday we had a blast. We're going back
tomorrow talking ball. This is This is a blast, dude.
I love this show. It's all vibes, baby. So I
didn't even know jen alpha was a thing. I'm gonna
be honest with you. I didn't know what came after
Google it, So yeah it was. I had a feeling,
that's what it was so good to get that confirmation.
I mean, my kids will probably what jen beta is?
(01:36):
That what comes after alpha? Right?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Gen Meta? I don't I don't even know what are
they gonna go to after this? I mean, we've got
gen Z, we've got Millennial, I don't know, man, well
gen s for social hopefully got.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
We got some time in a couple of football seasons
in between now and then go ahead and drop your
questions below and we'll be sure to get to them.
You can also check out the Fancy Pros YouTube channel
and the podcast feed for some fantastic episodes we've been
putting together so far this off season. Vibes are high
over here, man, as we continue to take this roller
coaster to the top before it drops on September fourth,
(02:11):
when the Cowboys do battle with the Eagles to kick
off this NFL season and debro the next month and
a half. Maybe my favorite time of the season because
we're all right. We're all still right about everything.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Yep, undefeated, Baby, Noel's and all w's. Dude, it's all
guests and no breaks. You gotta love that.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
I'm living.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
I'm just I'm cackling because I'm looking at the chat
like every people following us over here from spaces over on,
from the Fantasy Bro's main account. Dude, you love to
see it, baby, and everybody else in the chat. No,
I'm not forever young, but I will try to pretend like.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
I am forever young. That's oh wow, wow, I didn't
know we were dropping bars today. Yeah, little Fantasy Pros
action here from our producers saying we are getting old seth.
Absolutely a couple of new followers to the channel as well.
Looks like Bam Bam Branson just followed us and then
(03:03):
we got nice Koozy first time chatter as well. What's
up nice COOZI saying love the podcast boys. I don't
know about you, Derek. I have a huge coozy collection
everywhere I go. That's like the one souvenir I buy
as a koozie. So I have like probably one hundred
and fifty koozies at this point. It's just getting absurd.
I used to collect those.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
My thing used to be now before I quit drinking
it with shotglasses. Oh yeah, shot glasses from everywhere. So
like when I would go out of town, like the
preemptive thing on the way back was not only to
hit up like the Taki gift shop.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Whatever and be like, oh, I guess what am I
grabbing for the kids?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
What kind of crap can I buy them that they're
not going to care about within two days? And I
would grab a shot glass? Yeah, hey, that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
I'm a little clumsy, so I don't like trust myself
with the shotglasses as much. I will say that I
was at a NASCAR race last month and a guy
had a really nice coozie and I asked him where
he got and he just handed it to me. I
was like, all right, that's pretty pretty awesome brotherly love. Yeah,
Pennsylvania's how we do it up here, de Bro, I
gotta try it sometimes. Uh bam bam, saying Debro, it's
your boy Kyle from Spaces Go Birds Goldeed. Uh can't, Kurt,
(04:13):
that's my boy, dude.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
He gets wild on spaces like I love Eagles fans
Go Birds, because dude, not every fan base gets like
crazy passionate, but like we went off on a wild
tangent one day in space is just talking about Brian
Johnson and.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
This dude was lit. Man. You love to hear the passion. Dude.
That hey, another another great Pennsylvania city there. I'll keep
it PG here.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
I will not repeat all the things that Kyle said,
or even half of them.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
I do remember them though. And uh, new subscriber on
the channel as well. Dis for disaster dis four disasters.
I guess we'll go with dis forour disasters.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
Uh, dude, I'm just glad I'm not having to read
screen names. I'm leaving that all to you.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Oh man, I have gone in trouble. I've like completely
butchered some screen names before, so.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Dude, I worry that one of these days. Have you
ever seen like the Instagram videos where that they walk
up the counter and they give somebody a name and yeah,
it's like then the person says it over the loud speaker,
They're like, oh, like, I feel like I'm gonna get
punked one of these days with the screen names.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
Man one hundred percent least coming in just home from work.
What's up? Less good? Okay, less stuff bad? Yeah, let's go,
man family making it into the stream. You love to
see debro Chargers rookies reported to camp on July twelfth.
Los Angeles wide receiver Trey Harris is holding out. You know,
I think we've seen a couple holdouts across the NFL rookies,
(05:29):
So probably nothing through the entire second round of the
NFL Draft basically, yeah, yeah, So nothing too crazy there.
Cincinnati doing Cincinnati Bengal things. The Phone Team's rookies Alto
reported to camp on Tuesday, July fifteenth. The Ravens, the Bills, Dolphins,
New York Giants, the forty nine ers, and the Seahawks.
And then today we have Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions Reporting.
(05:52):
How would you feel having to go like back to
a college dorm at this day and age. Oh geez.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Be an interesting experience for sure, especially depending on what
state you're you're living in at that time and the
legalities of certain things. But I mean, I digress. I
didn't do the dorm life. Okay, the like on campus
apart Okay, yeah, yeah, so I was like working the job,
so I wasn't living in the dorms. I had so
many friends that lived in the dorms that, like, I
was basically living there on a couch on a food
(06:23):
tan on a blanket on a.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Floor half the time, So it didn't really matter. Man,
trying to use like like a cardboard box, like like
a thirty a thirty rack as a pillow and a
talis a blanket as I woke.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Up in many a college dorm bathroom, don't We did
long stories we won't share here and stuff and sometimes
in a bathtub. Anyway, College is.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
A good time. College is a good time. But before
we get into any questions and feel free, guys, keep
dropping the questions. We're here for you for about the
next fifty three minutes or so to answer those and
get you guys set for drafts coming up. Uh, I
want to ask you deepro because I chatted a little
bit of a bat it with a couple members of
the Fantasy Pro staff. So far, Cleveland Browns running back
Quinshaw Judkins arrested last week for an a legend misdemeanor
(07:08):
domestic violence charge. Brown's running back Douce running back coach
Duce Staley. He said last month at mandatory mini camp
that Dylan Sampson had already gotten some work at running
back and receiver. So what does this do for Quinnshaw
Judkins and his redraft stock? Where are you moving him to?
And does this put Dylan Sampson and George rome Ford
(07:29):
back on your draft board? Jerome Ford's back on the
draft board.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
He was kicked off into the ether whenever they drafted Judkins,
so he snuck into right after before. So the top
two hundred is live on Fantasy pros. It's a uphin
tweet on my social and stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
So, uh, I was.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Updating that morning the top two hundred right after it
went live. So Forward snuck into the top two hundred.
I think he's like one ninety six. I moved Judkins
down from Judkins I'm having to scroll now. I had
him like in that low end RB two, high end
three range like RB. I think I had him RB
twenty five, and after the news, I bumped him down
(08:09):
to RB thirty one, and Samson is now inside.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
My top one fifty. Okay, okay, I moved Samson up to.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
RB fifty one, So he's in like Trey Benson, Tyler
algiear On Tracy kind of.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
File him where.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
It's like, you know, he's I think Samson's gonna have
standalone value anyway, because this team is as bad as
we think they're going to be. He's going to be
the passing down guy because Judkins, whether he plays or
he suspended or not, not a pass catcher. He's gonna
get all of his work on early downs and just
looking at that offense as a whole, like, you know,
so gave a little more respect.
Speaker 1 (08:46):
To Samson's name.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Yeah, Dudkins is not a name I was clicking anyway
in early Bestball draft set, and it's a name that
I'm going to continue to not click anyway because now
we have the suspended shrouting it or suspend possible suspendion
that because the NFL does whatever the heck they want,
they could suspend him, they could not. A lot of
the NFL is just like, look like, let's just keep
the media cycle moving on after stuff like this. I'm
(09:09):
not saying I agree with it, but that's the reality
of the of the NFL. So we'll see if he
gets suspended. I mean, it's something that's going to hang
over his draft stock. But for a player that I
was not high on actually drafting to begin with, it
just pushes him down my board where I'm.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Just like, nah, I'd rather go other directions. It was
one of those situations for me where I think you
and I were both lower on the prospect. But I
did like the landing spot right, like I thought the
landing spot in Cleveland was good. And to the point
where when it came to scott Fishbowl, I actually took
him in Scott Fishball. I think over yeah, right in
the sixth round, Well did you take forward or Samson?
(09:46):
Like I just got Samson yesterday? Yep. Hey, so I
at least covered myself. But I really took him in
Scott Fishball because that's a points per carry league, right
and I'm like, oh, like this could be great for
quinchan Da Judkins in the volume hunt exactly so that
you know, kind of a tough scene there. But Samson's
another guy I don't think you or I were both
super high on. But I feel like in general, like
(10:09):
he still led the SEC in rushing last year, Like
he was still kind of the engine to that Tennessee
offense with Nico, you know, kind of really struggling, I
would say, in big spots in his freshman season. I
mean that's fair man.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
I just he's an inefficient volume run sure who doesn't
have really much of a pass game upside. I don't
think he's near as talented as a rushing talent. I mean,
just a volume compiler. So like that's just not a
guy that, like I'm usually ever high on in any shape,
form or circumstance, because you know how many times have
(10:43):
we seen it, you know, Rashad White's the world other
guys in the NFL where it's like, well, if you're
only like a middling talent and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
I mean, right, are.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
We looking at like two years from now Judkins gets
his job, take him because he's had two years just
basically being new Trent Richardson and everybody like, oh, I
mean or Cleveland's like yeah, well yeah, we need some
big plays. We haven't been getting them.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
I think for me too, it reminds me a lot
like the situation in Green Bay in twenty seventeen when
we had Aaron Jones coming in and Jamal Williams and
Jones had a little bit of legal issues. That's what's
getting injured, and by the end of the season we
all kind of wanted Jamal Williams and but but you
are right long term, I mean, what is Jamal Williams
wocome today? You know, really nothing. So I did want
(11:27):
to get to this question that we do have in
the chat from Nick Miller thoughts on Judkins and Harvey
for Dynasty. Where where do you have Judkins currently? Because
I know you were the low man on the staff
on him previously to this anyways, and I know you've
always been the absurd hide man on R. J. Harvey.
He's currently he's currently ninth overall in ECR for rookie
(11:48):
only drafts. That's Harvey in non super flex, twelve in
super flex drafts, and quit Shaw Judkins seven in super
flex and goes up to six in non super flex.
Where is that compares someon to your rank state debro.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
So in overall Dynasty ranks, I have RJ. Harvey at
RB eleven, so I do have him as an RB
one in Dynasty, and people could say that's crazy, dude.
He comes out ball and people are going to move
him there instantly, as low as I am on Judkins,
just because the dynasty landscape for running backs is changing.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Right now, like you have a lot of these guys
that are aging out and stuff.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
So even though I don't like Judkins, you do have
to like the landing spot, the volume possibility upside, and
the draft capital. So he did sneak in there in
RB nineteen. For my Dynasty rankings and as far as
rookie rankings I've had, I'll just turn it on the
super flex because that's when most people are drafting. I mean,
I've been making the case you could take har J.
(12:46):
Harvey as high as as one oh five overall. I've
got him at one o seven, But if you wanted
to take him over the quarterbacks have at it. Okay,
quinch on Judkins, I've got him at fifteenth overall, and
I'm fine with that. Really is just a draft capital
and volume, bet. I mean, he's right above like Matthew
Golden and some other guys. But I mean, if you
were to tell me we're in training camp and Baseil
(13:08):
Touton's running away with the job and you know, Luther
Burden Matthew Golden are just crushing it, Like could you
can make a case to move guys ahead of him,
But I think like early second round, if anybody still
has rookie drafts, is appropriate.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Okay, I got another question here from our guy fantasy
hunter twitch. Two quarterbacks most likely to finish top three,
not named in the top four. Two tight ends also
most likely not or to finish inside the top three,
not in the top three. So looking for a couple
tight ends and quarterbacks with upside? What are you thinking here, Derek?
Speaker 2 (13:43):
So to get to the top three, you've either got
to have a crap ton of passing volume or you've
got to run the ball or both. And I think
you can make a case for bo Nix. He was
QB five or QB six, be leave after he started. Dude,
if he runs for five six hundred yards, he throws
for thirty touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Just went down towards the end of last year. I
don't know why that was.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Well, but he was banged up. But he was banged up.
I think he took a shot to the ribs or something. Okay,
But I mean bo Nicks that you can make a
case for. And I'm not gonna mention Joe Burrow because
he is inside the top four, top five. I mean
he's in that, you know, close to elite tier two
other guys or three other guys I'll mention here. So
(14:25):
I said, did say Nicks justin fields is just an
easy case.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
If he throws for twenty twenty five touchdowns, he runs
for a thousand yards, he's going to be a top five,
top three quarterback. So like that's the low hanging fruit here.
The other guy that I'll bring up here just because
of the passing volume, and I kind of wonder we
have not seen him run in the last few years.
But if he truly is healthy, dude, Dak Prescott's had
(14:50):
like he has that in his resume where he's had
top five. He was QB four one year. Yes, they
were third in passing attempts with Cooper freaking Rush playing
half of the season last year, like, if the offensive
line is better, they're not gonna like that offense.
Speaker 1 (15:05):
We can look at that backfield and say, well, they're.
Speaker 2 (15:08):
Not gonna live and die by the running game, so
they're gonna have to throw like that. Dak is one
of the guys where I warmed up on him a
ton after the the acquisition of George Pickens because I
think Dallas figured it out and we all saw him
struggle last year because it was like, yeah, you take
away Lamb, what else you got?
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Man?
Speaker 2 (15:25):
Brandon Cooks is cooked like no. So Dak is the
other guy that I'll mention here. I could throw JJ
in there, but I don't think he has top three upside,
Top five to seven.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
I think is more plausible.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
I'm not gonna I'm not gonna act like I'm crazy
on this stream and say that he is top three upside.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
Yeah. I think there's only a couple of guys that
really have top three upside. Like I think if we're
if we're talking, you know, top five to seven, then
if if we move that marker back, I would put
Drake May in that bucket just because we know the
rushing it is going to be there. The improved offensive
line improved pass catchers. So I like Drake May, and
I've started drafting Trevor Lawrence a little more in best
(16:03):
balls right now. I feel like, if not now win
for him. So I'm kind of interested in te law
and Drake May. Those are two guys I think that
I don't think top three upside, but potentially top five
to seven for sure.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Now for the tight ends, it is a really hard
case because to really truly be an elite titund you
have to have elite athleticism. Yeah, you will never see
a guy that runs a four to eight be a
top three or top five tight end.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
It will not happen. It does not happen.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Like, elite athleticism is the most highly correlated to the
tight end position out of all the positions. So like
all these guys, I mean, you have to be top
to get to top three, you have to have a
ceiling of like seven to double digit touchdowns, and you
have to be able to like somehow sniff a path
to one hundred and thirty targets one hundred and forty
(16:57):
somewhere around there to like be top three. I mean,
there's just not a lot of guys that can make
that case for Evan Ingram, I could see it and
I have him a tight end four like if the
Denver Broncos go pass heavy, if he's the guy that's
leading the team in targets in that role. For Sean Payton,
I definitely could see it. For Evan Ingram, I'll go
(17:19):
further down the board and the one guy that say it,
say it, has the talent, has the do it. I
don't know if you I don't know if you know
where I'm gonna I'm gonna go with this seth. But
the guy that has the talent to do it. If
this passing offense goes back to not even pass heavy,
but say top twelve in passing rate compared to what
(17:39):
they did last year, the guy that has the talent
to do it and to be the new George Kittle would.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Be Tucker Craft. Ooh yeah, yeah, I mean he was
like a top five tight end. I feel like at
times last year a lot of that dude. He's a
ball er.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
He is an absolute stone cold volume for him. That's
what I want if they if they featured him yeah offense. Yeah,
and he was like the number one guy in first
read cheer top two, like got a twenty percent for
like he would crush like. He's so freaking talented. He's
athletic as I'll get out man, like, all he needs
is the volume. And I don't know if he gets
(18:16):
to a green Bay, but the talent is there. If
they have four feed him one hundred and twenty targets,
the dude would be top five.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah. I'm one hundred percent there with you. Do you
think Tyler Warren is top three upside this year or
just I can't see it just because the quarterback situation. Yeah, okay,
I don't know if they score enough. Yeah, yeah, I
think volume wize he could be in a good situation,
but just in general.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Plus to get there, you have to be the number
one target or like a top two target on your
passing offense.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
And I can see it might be he gets there.
I just he might be. He might be. It literally
might be him and downs.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
But then you come back to the conversation of passing volume,
and if they go run heavy and they're trying to
protect or like play keep away from Daniel John, then
they're not going to throw it off.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Yeah, but before we keep it going, I wanted to
shout out a couple first time chatters. We have Nick
joining us for the first time. What's up Man, Great

Let's get some more questions here. They're flowing in right.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
See. Do you see our main account like trolling me
in the chat that they have what? They have a
cartoon version of me in the works. Oh, nobody needs
that in their own and better.
Speaker 1 (21:39):
Have like an energy drinking or something backwards hat. Hey monster,
we're still waiting for that sponsorship. Come on, come on down,
Come on down. We're all ready for it. Have a supporter.
We got a question here from our guy m Main
Maine and Main right. Oh seven up man. He's saying,
(22:01):
I'm thinking Kittle could be tight end one if the
receivers don't show up. Am I crazy? I don't think
that's a crazy statement at all, Deebro. I've seen you
taking him right around that three four turn a lot
in some of our mock videos. Yep.
Speaker 2 (22:14):
Oh, absolutely, dude, George Kittle. I mean, I mean he
was the tight end one last year. It's not crazy
at all like expecting him to be the tight end
one and fantasy points per game again this year. Absolutely, man, Like,
the best reason to not take Brock Bauers or Trey
McBride where they go is George Kittle. So I think
his ADP is going to move up. He's been in
(22:36):
the forties. Actually, I was just doing a mock with
the guys over at Yahoo and a bunch of other like.
It was a savage blood bath of a mock draft,
and I took Kittle in the third round because I
was on the turn and I knew he wasn't going
to come back to me. So no, I love that
call in Kittle, And I won't mention, but I will
mention the the forty nine ers avvy for Wayne Right, yeah,
(22:58):
shout out. You know, no fan by us at all,
bro This is real, real process.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
She wants the disco just subbed, and so did penns
fan seven one eight seven three zero. I hope that.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
Oh that's your family, let's go right. I'm sorry that
was one in one in not two. So I guess not.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
I was that that qualified for penn State or is
that a Penguins though? Well, either way, Peng, I'm also
a Penguin Stan, So come on down, that's a that's
a Pennsylvania's quarter out there. Ye, so either way it's
a win for you either way. Either way, that that's
that's my people out there. Uh. And here also we
have another question, uh, dealing with a keeper league twelve
team PPR one quarterback league with five keepers. His top
(23:37):
three are CMC Chewba Hubbard and DeAndre Swift. Other options
are Baker Mayfield, Garrett Wilson, Chris Godwin, Mark Andrews, and
Stefan Diggs. Which two are you keeping? I'm going to assume, Deebro,
this is one where you keep based on the round,
Like whatever round you took these players, you you are
just be straight up? Yeah, let us know down the
chap Pens fan, Yeah, let us know whether they're around
(24:00):
penalties with Also, let us know are you a Penguin
stand or a Penn State fan? Either either way, we
appreciate your boat. They're probably gonna say both. Watch them
say both. What do you think here of his top
three options? And who else would you be be adding
this list? Do you think?
Speaker 2 (24:13):
I mean, dude, I see them season obvious. Depending where
you get into the weeds with all these keeper questions
is I don't know what the running back landscape looks
like like out of the.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Keeper sure, how bad does that look? I'd keep too?
But no for sure.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Well, but the other part is where are you drafting at?
Do you have access if the running backs are all depleted?
Can do you have access to, like to getting like
one of the top rookies, like could you draft Entente?
If you say I'm not keeping any of these these
running backs in a vacuum, just assuming like okay, the
running backs, the rookies, you can get access to two
of those guys like Harvey gent Caleb would be the
(24:55):
obvious three. But if you got access to two of
those three in a per world, I mean, for me
in a vacuum, it's CMC, it's Garrett Wilson Andrews because
they're probably everybody's going to keep elite tight ends McBride, Kittle,
the top end is not going to get back to
you like yeah, they're not going to be out there.
So for me, it's CMC, Wilson, Andrews Mayfield. It depends
(25:21):
on what the quarterback landscape looks like like if it's
totally dried up and out of a twelve teen PPR,
If like the top eight to ten year guys are
all kept, then you're keeping Mayfield. So that's four and
you can make a case depending on when you have
to submit these for Cuba or Godwin depending on his
health and stuff, or even digs Man, like I'm much
(25:43):
lower on chewba hobber than a lot of people. I
think I am to look at when you put his
season under the microscope. Last year and before Carolina realized
that Miles Sanders was cooked, dude, the first three games
of the season, he didn't have this bell cow workload.
He was playing fifty to sixty percent of snaps, He
split the red zone, works straight down the middle with
(26:03):
freaking Miles Sanders right, and he had a sub forty
percent route per drop back rate. All of those things
could happen and come back this year because they didn't
have anybody behind him.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
What are they gonna do? Run out raheem black fear
behind it. They're trying, They're trying for a second. Yeah,
So like.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
This year, Carolina. I think one of the things with
Chewba Hubbard is again, we are not playing to earn
last year's fantasy points. You were playing for this season
and what could happen this season. So looking at last
year and projecting that forward can be a fool's ere
in some times. So for me, I'm more worried about
Chewba Hubbard like I have him at RB twenty four.
Speaker 1 (26:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
I think Trevor Etn and Rico could also be involved
in this, in this running back room on a weekly basis,
whether it's Etn taking pass down work for him or
doubt All being a thorn in his side of the
red zone. And then people who are drafted Chewba Hubbard
expecting eighty to ninety percent of snaps are ticked off.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
So like Chuba doesn't.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Make the list here and DeAndre Swift is he is,
legitimately take the name out of it. DeAndre Swift is
a classic dead zone back. He is, He's not efficient.
The reason he's ranked where he's ranked is everybody's projecting
the volume and that he's gonna get it outside of
Ben Johnson's steam. I don't want to draft DeAndre Swift either, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
I just heard Pat the other day kind of make
the argument that maybe we see Roshawn Johnson in that
thumper Dave Montgomery type role in this offense or your
guy my got com Yeah, yeah right. The other thing
about Cuba Hubburn and maybe keeping him and kind my
last note is like he was going in like the
tenth you know, eleventh, sometimes ninth round if he was
getting pushed up last year. So if it is one
of those situations where you get to keep him for
(27:40):
that draft pick, that's why I think I would go Cuba.
He'd probably be one of my favorite options just in
terms of value. But I am there with you with
the concerns, and guys, a ton more subscribers just came
in here. Ace og Hoodie just subscribed with Prime and
okay less also just subscribe with time Trime. Thank you
(28:00):
guys so much. We appreciate it. Uh dee bro, Uh
you've you've helped our guy Nick out by calling Pooka
a stud Daniels as your overall quarterback one in the draft.
And uh he thinks Cocher can be a sleeper as well.
Who's next? Who's your next? Like deep sleeper? Like what's
(28:21):
the call? What's the call this year? What's what's the tweet?
You're gonna like quote tweet a year from now and
be like, yo, I told you, let's go.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
I mean, I've got a few out there right now,
just off the like in the hopper. JJ McCarthy's a
KB one which people don't believe. I think they're slowly
warming up to it. H Brishard Smith the last round
of your draft, he's new. Jared McKinnon, let's go with that. Like,
I mean, dude, it could be an RB two, RB
three that you're plugging in your flex and PPR leagues
(28:50):
on a weekly basis.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Man. As far as the rookies.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
I mean, just depends on how deep you want to go.
I mean, like a lot of these guys. I think
Josh Palmer is gonna compete with Khalio Shakir for team
leading targets.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Oh I'm not OK wow, and.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
At all Ericson and I have fought about that on
Fantasy Court. If people want to go chat back and
check that out, we have to go to YouTube and
watch Fantasy Court. I just dude, writing up the top
two hundred clarified absolutely how I feel about so many
of these players just looking at their pro route metrics.
I'll give you one more. Drew Johnson leads Cleveland and
(29:31):
targets this year.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Oh, those are both those that that that is a
gross that's a gross take, I think, is it? I
mean man? Is it? I mean Jerry? Like? What what
of Jerry Judy?
Speaker 2 (29:42):
An Let's have a real conversation about Deontay roll Fast
outside of the locker room and the all field stuff.
What was wrong with Deanty Johnson last year? He was
still getting a crap ton of targets running a high
end target chair. His targets per route run and first
downs per route run. Deontay Johnson's last year would have
(30:04):
led every single Browns receiver, including Jerry Judy. So he
makes the team and he's starting in the slot this year.
What is to keep him from still earning a high
end target share?
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Nothing?
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Nothing, nothing, nothing. In Cedric Tillman, I hate to tell people,
but if you go read the top two hundred, his
numbers were incredibly fraudulent. His per route stuff was not great.
He had like one point seven yards per route run
in that breakout spot in the season. All of the
numbers for him and Judy to be honest were so
inflated because that team ran so many routes and had
(30:42):
so many passing attempts. Dude, Like in that spot where
Cedric Tillman broke out, they were number two in passing
rate in the NFL. Like, so when you are just
lapping the field and routes of pass attempts, that matters,
and it can puff up your counting stats where your
per route efficiency and just say, Okay, you're okay, but
(31:02):
you're not amazing.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Yeah, I think it's more just I mean, I'm also
a Steelers fan, so I think I have a little
bit of bias against Deantay Johnson. But the guy's on
his fifth team in two years. Like, I just think
they're okay.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
So so hold hold on, hold up, let's back a
track here. If Deontay Johnson had finished the season on
Carolina and kept just hoovering targets for the rest of
the season.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Where would we take him? Is that the question? What
would you feel? How would you feel better better?
Speaker 2 (31:29):
Yeah, kept doing exactly what he did on Carolina and
Baltimore Houston did not happen. How would you feel and
where would you be drafting Deontay Johnson?
Speaker 1 (31:37):
This year, you'd probably be a top seventy five pick
at that point. Honestly, Yeah, exactly, that's exactly a good point.
It's a good point. It's fair, it's very fair. Uh,
don't think I'm with you on Josh Palmer. We'll save
that for you. Left. He will go watch the Fantasy
Court if people go watch Fantasy Court.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Okay, which, by the way, Erickson took you down on
that argument, just kind of say it.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Even though he's not here to the fit himself. He's
got to catch traight. Sorry. I had a dimssion from
a guy Floppy Cup. He'd won keeper max three years
for a league. Who would you keep out of JSN,
Drake May, Chase Brown, and Cook? I'm guessing James Cook
super flex League. What do you think here, debro Oh,
super flex Drake May.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Yeah, yeah, I'm keeping Drake May Jasin.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
I have more questions than most man like I don't.
I don't know how.
Speaker 2 (32:26):
We're just hopping over the fact that that Jaysn is
going to be operating in an offense that is going
to run the ball more. And Seattle was crazy pass
heavy last year. He's a low a dot wide receiver
and now he has freaking Sam Darnold as his quarterback. Like,
I feel like we are just hopping all of these
points where we should be a little bit more work
JSN than we are. So if he has the down year,
(32:49):
and I say down year because people have him ranked
as like a wide receiver one or a top fifteen
wide receiver, I've got him a low in wide receiver two.
But I've got my concerns about that. Chase Brown ToJ
Brooks is really freaking good. We only have a sample
at Chase Brown being a bell cow much like Chewba
Hubbard last year when they had nobody else they could
run out.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
He was a bell cow in college. Though that guy
took that guy who was taking like touch he was Champagne.
Speaker 2 (33:13):
Give the part of that he wasn't very efficient with
the work that he got last year. That Cincinnati O
line is not any better. There's still going to be
a passify team. Like I think Chop Todge Brooks could
force more of a committee than people are expecting. And
James Cook is a free agent after this year, so
who cares what he's doing. Yeah, Like he might not
be on the Buffalo Bills, he could be the next
week of doubt or who have you? And he has
(33:35):
to go sign like some remedial contracts somewhere.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Yeah, give me, Drake Man, give me this, give me
the rushing and sup of like setting. Yeah, it's Drake
May absolutely before we keep it moving. I did want
to remind everyone to please join our Fantasy Pros Discord community.

there and uh tell him why I always open? Yeah, yeah,
(34:20):
tell him why you don't believe in Josh Palmer. Although
we got some some comments here, you're such a hatterer
own Palmer. Why do you hate this man? Because he's
been pretty much like a dud for his entire carey
of brother Like if you drafted Josh Palmer. Other than
maybe that won't no. Even the one year when everyone
blew their flex in like twenty twenty three on him,
he was also a dudd He got he got hurt,
(34:41):
but you know they got hurt.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
I mean he was Baldwin whenever it came out, and
even then last year, dude, his per route metrics are
really stinking good.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
And I think what he finished the last year, like
wide receiver one hundred.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
Is a process pick for me because the like a
lot of the surface stats and all that kind of stuff.
I'm not saying that he scored a lot fantasy points.
I'm not saying that at all last year. But if
you look at these separation scores in the route win rate,
which can uncover players that have not gotten opportunity and
things haven't gone their way, like we're shot Bateman last year,
who I understand he was just a wide receiver forour
(35:14):
Bateman had like five or six weeks inside of the
top twenty four for weekly scoring.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
This is where you.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Could find players like that, and I think Josh Palmer
is the new Bateman for this year.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Okay, fair enough, fair enough, I appreciate, like I'm just
saying he's a wide receiver. Four sad. I'm not saying
it's gonna be a two. I know I'm not insane.
I know, I know, I know. Uh here not a monster.
I'm just ahead of the curve. Just ahead of the curve.
Keep telling yourself that. Brother. We got another question will
question here from Sean at the disco She want the
(35:47):
disco d ro. How do you feel about Jalen Warren
versus Caleb Johnson. So, I think you were high on
Warren initially before the draft. I know you've been one
of the highest rankers aggressively in both Dynasty and redres
On Johnson because Caleb was a stud man.
Speaker 2 (36:04):
He's a stud and people took his forty times and
they said, oh well he must not be good or
he's slow or whatever. And everybody's like, oh well, Iowa
opened up all these holes for him and stuff.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
Dude, have you ever watched the Iowa offense. It's like
he's legit. They know what's gonna happen. It's throw to
the tight end or run the ball. That's it.
Speaker 2 (36:23):
That's all they got going on in Iowa. Like that's
just a fact. So teams knew what was gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
And they still couldn't stop Caleb Johnson.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
Man, he's a freaking stud man. I mean, look like
I think he's gonna get penciled right into the Naji
Harris role, which you're telling me he's gonna flirt with
three hundred touches in his rookie season, and he's better
than nausey. He is the superpower that Naji has never had,
and that's the ability to break off big runs. Like
I have Caleb Johnson as a top twenty four running
back confidently right now because you're telling me this marriage
(36:53):
of talent, opportunity and upside for volume. Why the heck
should we not be excited for Caleb Johnson and ranking
him as an RB two, Like I love Jalen Warren,
But when a team comes out and they tell you
exactly what they think and what they want to do
by giving him the high ten tender, so basically they
(37:15):
were covered. If they went into the draft and they
didn't get their guy, then they still had a running
back they could roll out there. That'd be fine. But
then they go draft a guy in the third round
and they didn't have a second round pick. They had
needs a corner and they could get younger in other
spots on that team, but they go get a running
back and yet we're not high enough on Caleb Johnson, Like, no,
(37:39):
I'm not doing that, man. Like I love Jalen Warren
and I have pounded the table religiously for the last
two years that he should be he should have been
playing over Nagieiras, and the Pittsburgh Steelers said, no, we're
not gonna do it. We're gonna continue to feed nausey volume.
And now we get a talented, younger runner that has
big play potential in that offense.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
Some people like, but you know about Jalen Warren.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
Did you not see the last two years when they said, no, yeah,
we will not give him the lead role.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
But you're a Steelers fan, Seth, what do you think?
I mean? I think Jalen Warren will always be one
of those players better for real life football than fantasy.
It's kind of where I've landed on him. And I
do think though, if he can even see just a
couple more touches per game, I still think that's flex valuable, right, Like,
I still think Jalen Warren will have value this season.
(38:29):
And I'm not like penciling in Caleb Johnson right away
for three hundred touches, because that's not the Steelers' way,
you know what I mean, like they they're gonna make
him earn it. I wouldn't be surprised if starting off
the season it's a sixty to forty split in favor
of Warren, but by the end of the season, I
do expect it to be the other way. But I
think Warren is honestly still a decent target, you know,
(38:50):
right around that adp of pick ninety to one hundred
and five. I just think you need to be willing
to if he starts off hot, flip him, you know.
I think that that's kind of the play for me
if I'm drafted Warren.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
So apparently in the chat, she wants the disco, but
she doesn't want the cable jivants, So.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
That's all right because she said it's still Warren. We
have another chat. I thought to make the case disco.
I thought made the case. Yeah, I get it, I
get it for sure. We have another question asking you
about one of your favorites, Marshawn Lloyd. I mean, super
disappointing rookie season for him, with all the injuries. But
you know, we've seen the talent at usc we also
(39:27):
saw last year in the Combine. I mean, this guy
does look like a man among boys. So a specimen
to say the least. But will that translate into points
whether you're in like a volume based league like Scott
Fishball or just like in a best ball type genre.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
I mean, the volume is piling up for Josh Jacobs.
You know, they wrote him so hard last year as
far as like, I mean, they rode the entire they
ran the entire offense through him for the entirety of
last year. So I think you know that volume bill
comes due for running backs eventually. I'm not saying that
Jacobs has to deal with that this year, and I
don't want to project injuries on anybody, but I will
say Marshaw Lloyd is going way too late. And best
(40:06):
ball formats pre draft formats. I mean, I understand he
had the lost Rooky season, every single thing that went
wrong for him. I mean, dude, the guy was about
to come back and then he got a freaking appendectomy.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Yeah yeah, man.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Like whatever, dude like accidentally broke mirrors, walked like across
the path with too many black cats didn't have his
rabbits footing in his pocket, Like, I don't freaking know, man,
I do know that Rashon Lloyd is insanely talented. You
turn on his film, like anybody just go pull up
YouTube highlights this dude, Like he is crazy talented, extremely efficient,
(40:38):
can break tackles and break off big plays. So I
think he's gonna have a standalone role now how big
that role is from the hop, I think he will
have a standalone role interesting bit packers off interesting with Jacobs,
Like I mean, I'm only saying like thirty five percent
of snaps and stuff like that. I think they do
not want to run Jacobs and like say, you're gonna
play ninety one hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (40:57):
Of the snap So not Kyle Shanahanna into the ground.
No they're not.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
And with that, I think Marshawn Lloyd is going to
have a standalone role now if he can produce the
way I think he can. I think that role grows
throughout the season.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
Okay, yeah, I'm with you. I do like Lloyd. It's
a prospect. I am intrigued, Like I'm still taking all
the Josh Shacobs. I don't think it'll be a role
that you know supplants him or anything. But at the
same time, I think in Scott Fishball, when you're just
kind of hunting for for late round targets, I think
it's a good pick there. Less so, do you see
floppy cups question about diynostay rookie No, I do right
(41:35):
right here, Yes I do. Debating between Jarquees Hunter and
Pat Bryant and Dynasty rookie draft, who would you take?
Probably Hunter? Right if I had the guess, Oh yeah, dude,
it's Quez. It's Quez for me.
Speaker 2 (41:46):
And this is not shade against Pat Bryant. Like there
are things to like about his profile. I wasn't enamored
with him. I did like the landing spot. There were
certain analytical points that you could like about Pat Bryant.
He did play well with the same bowl. Kind of
surprised me they are. But dude, I love Quez.
Speaker 1 (42:01):
I think I know that.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
Okay, as I'm saying this, watch like there's some rap
before tweet that comes out now, Kyron sign an extension
as soon as saying Quez and stuff.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
People watch. I saw a fake one the other day,
A fake tweet got me that he did sign it. Yeah, dude,
you gotta watch out man. People are so quick these
days to be like.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
I'm tweeting first, Yeah did they get they get got
on fake accounts. But I'm in on Quez Hunter man,
like I love Dark Quez. You look at the archetype
of running back and and he is the guy that's
different than everybody else in that backfield. Blake Korum and
Kyra and Williams, they're carbon copies each other. They are
the Spider Man gift and they're you're not getting big plays,
(42:39):
You're just getting volume, inefficient volume out of both of them.
And but you look at Darquest Hunter. He's built different, dude.
He has the ability to rip off big plays. Love
his talent. Downhill Runner, Like, that's the guy that I
keep targeting because I think he Like everybody keeps talking
about who is the o Bacial Tootin being this year's
Bucky irviing.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
I think I think he might be it. He might
be it also might be Druk west Hunter. Oh okay, okay,
very very fair. And I was way too high on
Blake Korm and I watched I was not high on him.
I don't remember if yeah, I don't remember it, like, yeah,
I don't remember if it was you and I talking
in person, me watching back one of the recent shows
when I was doing some editing, but you know, you
(43:20):
kind of made the point that the injuries kind of
zapped him. And I've always thought that jar Quez when
he was at Auburn the first couple of years of
his collegiate career, they would just plot with Tank Bigsby
all the time, and then they would put in Hunter
and it was like a little bit of a spark
of life. And I didn't know if it was just
one of those situations like change a pace back, it's
going to do that, But I always thought Hunter had
(43:41):
a little bit bit of an explosion. So I'm happy
to see that he's finally getting some some of the
love he deserves. Also, going back to Marshawn Lloyd, I
figured out what he did to cause all the bad luck, Derek.
He didn't eat sauerkraut on January first on New Year's
Is that a thing? It's bad luck if you don't. Yeah,
is that a sour krowd on New Year's Day? No, No, Chad,
(44:04):
is this a thing? I have no? No, ned never,
everyone's eating crowd on No.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
The chat is gonna tell me is this a real thing,
because I don't. I've never This might.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
Be a northern or regional thing.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
I'm from the South, dude, I have never heard that
in my life ever heard.
Speaker 1 (44:20):
Do you even eat krowd on New Year's Day? Heck? No, dude.
Do you like sour kraud?
Speaker 2 (44:25):
No?
Speaker 1 (44:26):
Sour? I have never. Sour kraut has never graced this.
You're kidding, Never, dude. You don't know you'ressing ever. Don't
know you No, dude.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
This is like, this is like one of those conversations
that I have with Pat and he says that I
have the palette of a ten.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
Year old when I tell him that I hate blue cheese.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
I'm just I'm sorry, Like I don't like things that
smell like a trash can. Okay, I don't want to
go around licking.
Speaker 1 (44:49):
And eating a trash can. Thank you to No, it's
you can keep your sauer kraut to yourself. It's an
acquired it's an acquired taste, I would say. No, I've heard.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Okay, So I'm with Nick on this. We've gone to
like the black eyed pea. He's in cabbage and all
that kind.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
Of route, like her black eyed peas. I've never I
know the band.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
Oh my, you've never had a black he's asking me
about sour crowd homie, dude, No, no, oh, Seth, you
need to get on a plane and come down here
so I could cook you a proper meals.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
Sir.
Speaker 2 (45:20):
This is just I'm questioning everything I've I'm telling you,
it's all. It's I don't even know what to say
to you right now, like I oh.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Dear less saying he's a crowd and he's never heard
of it. Also not a fan of the food as well. Uh,
and then bam bam, she was the disco is not
a fan with the sour crowd? I love it? Yes,
And then bam bam saying, can confirm Bucks County Pa
here Pennsylvania Dutch? Yeah, absolutely, New Year's that's got to be.
It's gotta be a PA thing. I'm telling you, dude,
(45:51):
I think it's a.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
P A thing.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
Maybe maybe it is. Maybe it is, but sour krowd
heck no, man, I can't. Okay, we got a crowd.
We got a crowd. Pull running Cali said, so we
got a crowd. Yeah, yeah, which people need to come
on people vote, stay with you boy on this. It's
not it's not happening. It's good, dad, it's good. I'm
telling you. Come out to Pennsylvania. We'll get lit up
(46:16):
on New Year's Eve with some bush light.
Speaker 2 (46:18):
Hold on, hold on, just let's take this back a second,
so as you eat your New Year's Eve, sour krowd,
how does that midnight kiss go?
Speaker 1 (46:24):
Tell me? Tell me, how's that midnight kiss go? With
the girl? She's a crowd too, So so it's all
it's all love, brother, it's all love out here. So
the stink is mutual. All right, I got you, I
got you? Okay, I mean that's love. It's a love, baby,
it's love. Let's get some more questions here, some of them.
(46:45):
We're off the rails. Good bad food takes here, all right, here,
here we go, de bro. Why is the entire NFL
tripping over itself to say Jalen Hurst is in a
top ten quarterback? Are they just trying to get people
like meet a rage click article? It's working, by the way, Oh,
it's working.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
And dude, I was on I did a guest spot
with Scott Barrett and the and the fam over at
Fantasy Point. Shout out to them, and we went on
a long tangent and just dropping the mic on people like, dude,
I'm sorry you want to come out with clickbait lists.
I'm staring at you, Chris Simms, uh huh, looking straight
(47:23):
at you. You want to come out with clickbait lists
and all these players and stuff just to get engagement
and stuff like that.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
Dude, you can miss me with all of that stuff.
Speaker 2 (47:31):
Yea, What the heck does Jalen Hurts have to do
at this point his career. He has been maligned ever
since he was a prospect. He's been maligned since he started.
It was the starter. They tried to say that he
couldn't hold onto the job.
Speaker 1 (47:44):
He did. He gets a massive contract, then they say
he doesn't deserve it. He did.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
He goes in the playoffs and crushes teams. He goes
to the super Bowl and plays really freaking well and loses,
goes back to the Super Bowl, plays well, and it
gets the damn MVP. What else does he have to do?
Speaker 1 (48:03):
What I think you have to?
Speaker 2 (48:06):
Yes, so rage clicking and rage baiting, yes that it.
It ticks me off to no end, dude. The jailing
herds disrespect is ridiculous. I wish I could take my
camera off right now, Cali, do I have permit? I
have a Jailing Herds sign freaking frame jersey in my office.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
It's just it's so frustrating. I'm not even an Eagles fan. Dude. Well,
and it's like, why why why the hate on this guy?
Like he's such a he's such a lovable story. Right
there we go, there, we go there. I like it
right next to the truth. So now I'm taking out
Oh geez, oh geez, Christiana Watson one didn't age particularly well.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
But hey, Watson, Watson got love for me because I
won fifteen thousand on a playing DFS one.
Speaker 1 (48:49):
Week versus the Cowboys. Nice.
Speaker 2 (48:53):
That's that's what I paid for the Watson. That's that's
assigned DFS crushing weekend. So that's why I bought that.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
By the way, I just for me. When it comes
to the Jalen Hurts disrespect, it's like, why do you
hate like underdog stories? Because the guy had to transfer
away from Alabama rebuild himself with Lincoln Riley at Oklahoma
overcame a ton of adversity growing up. It seems like
too puts himself in a position behind Carson Wentz to
succeed when he ultimately fails. And you know, this is
(49:24):
a guy who you know, speaks the Lord's word every
chance he gets, super humble, spends a ton of time
volunteering in the community. Like, I don't get it at all,
and his play's good man Like, he's a good player.
It's not like your traditional guy. This is the same
thing we heard about Lamar three years ago. And how
dumb do people look from saying that now though? Right, Dude, I.
Speaker 2 (49:43):
Just I don't get it because, like to many of
the points you've talked about, and I laid out the
case just based off of his play on the field,
but we're also discussing like you mentioned, Jalen Hurts is
an outstanding human being. He's done nothing but help his
community everything, and there's so many things that he does
that don't get as much publicity, like his entire team
(50:06):
that he surrounds himself are nothing but but it's all women,
so elevating other people in a space where it is
predominantly men and stuff like that like that, Dude's freaking awesome.
I love Jalen Hurts, both the person and the football player,
and the fact that he gets left all these lists,
Kles Bambam, I'm with y'all, man, like I'm like almost
like a pseudo like Philadelphia Eagles. Yeah, because I love Hurts,
(50:31):
I love aj Brown, Davonte Smith, like so many players
on that roster, and when they had Kelsey and stuff. Man,
it's just a lot of outstanding, freaking human beings.
Speaker 1 (50:40):
Man.
Speaker 2 (50:40):
So the fact that Jalen Hurts gets left all these lists,
it's blasphemous. And if you want one thing to prove
to people, if you put out these lists and you
don't have Jalen Hurts inside your top ten quarterbacks in
the NFL right now, all you're doing is telling on yourself.
Speaker 1 (50:55):
You're not a ballner. I'm sorry, You're just not. They
also got a lot of former Penn State and an
he lines hashtag we are on that team, baby. Another
here another shout out, Jahan Dotson shout out, Yeah, yeah,
more Saquon Barkley. But I'll take a little Johan Love
as well. Yeah yeah, she wants to disco. How are
(51:16):
you dealing with the nausey Harris and quit sewn Judkins
scenarios and Drafters best ball Draft. So we did talk
about Judkins at the top of the stream she wants
to disco and like, you know, lowering him in our rankings.
He's already fallen an ECR closer to down below pick eighty.
So definitely still like not off draft boards, but we're
taking Dylan Sampson, We're taking Jerome Ford a shot on
(51:38):
either one of those guys, whoever you prefer there when
it comes.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
To I'll just sum it up. I'm drafting other people.
I'm just a boy, Okay, okay, okay, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:47):
Like it's just that easy. What about Nausey Harris, Like,
we do have the news that he did injure himself
his eyes.
Speaker 2 (51:53):
Yeah, fortunately, you know, social media was like so quick
to be.
Speaker 1 (51:57):
Like, oh what happened? Yeah, July fourth five works mishap
for for Najie Harris. Is it both of his eyes?
It is both of his eyes? And huh, I have
no clue.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
I saw was superficial injuries and people were trying to
puff up the fact that he went to two different hospitals,
and I'm like, dude, if y'all think that's the thing
to sit here and glomma onto with this report, you
just you don't know medicine, Like you don't know how
things work legitimately, he could have gone to one facility,
yeah that they had they knew the doctors. They could
(52:28):
have known the doctors in another facility. They could have
had like whether it's an agreement, they could have There's
multiple things. There could have not have been a burned
specialist at one of the places and he had to
go get a second opinion or an eye doctor because
they're not Every er has not, depending on the size
of it, has any eye specialist on call and stuff
like that. And yes, I know what the hell I'm
actually talking about because I worked in medical for over
(52:49):
a decade for almost two decades. So to see people
out here on social media like trying to surmize like, oh,
it must have been really bad because you went to
two hospitals. Like, dude, you just talking at your butt.
You don't know what you're talking about legitimately, So.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
How do we approach this in drafts? Does this change
anything for you because we have I mean we've had
David Najoku get burned and show up the next day,
right like like, these guys are some of the toughest
warriors gladiators. If you would out there in the roam
in these streets today, So I'm not really dropping Nause
in my ranks. However, I didn't necessarily have him super
(53:21):
high either. I don't think most people do at this point.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
No, I'm not moving anybody in the ranks. Like if
we get closer, because again, training camps for repeas and
stuff just open and stuff like, we're gonna get plenty
more news. And the thing that I think people are
missing is it's not like I'm already on Hampton as
an RB three in drafts right now. People are already
drafting him as an RB two. So what do you
want to do? You want to puff him up to
(53:46):
RB one, like and a Greg Roman offense where they
are legitimately not gonna throw the ball.
Speaker 1 (53:51):
To the running backs?
Speaker 2 (53:53):
Like, where's the meat left on the bone for the
higher that people push Hampton up the board?
Speaker 1 (53:58):
Yeah? Like that's that's what I fail to see.
Speaker 2 (54:01):
Like when he's already going as like a top fifteen
running back in certain spots, top twenty in almost every
spot right now, then it's like where what? So you're
hoping he gets all the work, He's not going to
catch passes and he's probably got to run out to
have meat on the bone, we're at an RB two price.
He can finish as an RB one, probably also needs
double digit touchdowns. Like those things can happen, But it's
(54:23):
not like you're running in out the board like, well,
we're taking a player that was an RB three in
drafts and pushing him into RB two. This is a
high end RB two that people want to push up
the board even more. And I'm just like, nah, I'm good,
Like there's still so much time, like not we get
a report tomorrow that Najie Harris is fine and he's
going to be on time for training camp in the season,
and then what you're like left hold in the bag.
Speaker 1 (54:45):
Saying I wish I would have done that.
Speaker 2 (54:48):
So no, we still have plenty of time left for
news and stuff. So I'm not moving him. I'm not
moving nause down. I'm not moving hand.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
Okay, yeah, fair enough. Let's do a little lightning round
to round out the program. Here, we got Disasters asking
some players he's seen recently jump up in their ECR
Rushie Rice Tyreek Hill a Mecca Abuka. Have you guys
reach for any of these players or are you just
not comfortable taking them at their current ADPs? This is
(55:15):
for best ball. What are you thinking, Derek when it
comes to these three wide receivers that are a guy
disastrous lays out Tyreek.
Speaker 2 (55:22):
Hill'll move down the board a little bit. Actually have
Jalin Wattles either right next to him or right in
front of him. Okay, so Hill, I don't see much
of a reason to move him up a Mecca Abuka.
I mean, we haven't any news man like God when
we still it's up in the air. Mike Evans is
not washed. He's the value if you want to value
out of the bucks passing attackers. He's being ranked as
(55:43):
a wide receiver two and he shouldn't be. So I'm
okay with taking Rice and Buka where they're going.
Speaker 1 (55:48):
Hill. I'm just avoiding and going other directions. Yeah, I'm
pretty much with you on there, like I was in
on Hill when he was really really back in ECR
and n AEP. But he certainly scooched up a little bit.
Speaker 2 (56:01):
I've ahead of guys like people have him as a
wide receiver one in some rankings, Like I'm not paying
that price on Tyrek.
Speaker 1 (56:06):
Yeah, I can't. I can't draft him over Devonte Adam
defeated Broo. Yeah No, I can't.
Speaker 2 (56:11):
Father Time is undefeated, Like Mike Evans could easily outscore
him this year and he's going way behind him.
Speaker 1 (56:16):
Speed goes first, right, like speed kind of goes first.
So well, I mean, dude, father Time's undefeated.
Speaker 2 (56:22):
We saw the the per route metrics and the things
dropped for Tyreek Hill last year.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
For everybody that you.
Speaker 2 (56:27):
Know says, oh it was his risk, or like well
he's running and everything else, Like his wrist is only
a remedial problem, like maybe that bugs him in contest
to catch situations and stuff like that doesn't also like
mess you up of like getting opening your routes at times.
Speaker 1 (56:41):
Question here from Nice Coozy asking, Uh, this may be
a silly question, but how do you think about slash
man into your custom ECR tiers in relation to ADP
during your redraft? So, Derek, are you always taking the
player you have ranked the highest first or is it
one of those things you're kind of trying to game
the ADP kind of game your players a little bit.
Speaker 2 (57:04):
I'm a firm believer in getting your guys. I'm a
firm believer if you're doing the work and you believe
in your process and you're reading up, whether that's you're
reading people that you trust their opinions, whether that's me
or not, or whether that's death or not, whether you're
you're in Bible like ingesting that information. For me, it's
take your guys where you want to take them. And
(57:24):
I'm not saying throw ADP all at the wind and
stuff like that, but if there's a player you want
and you know they're not going to come back to
you draft them. Like at the end of the day,
ADP is a false construct. It's what we as a
group think think about players and situations and stuff like that.
So I'm willing to take guys at the end of
tears and stuff. I'm also willing to reach depending on
my team builds. So a lot of that comes down
(57:45):
to team build for me and where I'm at. So
like we were in a recent mock draft that that
episode's up on YouTube as well, where David Montgomery had
fallen in the draft and stuff, and it was telling me,
like with the Draft Wizard and Draft draft analysis, it
was saying I could have had like more points about
to take it David Montgomery in a two v two situation,
(58:07):
but I didn't take him because I had just taken
three running backs. So with my team build, yeah, he
was a screaming value where we were in the drafts,
and sometimes you got a price and force. But the
other thing is like you got to look at your
team build yep, and does that be your team build
where you're at if you just backed up, like you
went wide receiver heavy early and stuff like that, and
now you're like I backed up running back with the
last three selections of volume. The taking a fourth running
(58:30):
back but you probably need a wide receiver three or
four doesn't make a ton of sense.
Speaker 1 (58:34):
Yeah, I think I'm there too. Like I would say
two things keep in mind. One, you draft Intel. That's
one of our new tools here at Fantasy Pros. It
is excellent. It helps you really fantastic. Yeah, it helps
you really read what your league mates are going to
do based on previous year's training. Go dude, Yeah, total
cheek code. So this is one way I would approach
(58:54):
it is figure out like what their tendencies are and
draft around it. And also like if ADP has someone
higher than what you think too, Like I'm not afraid
if if I'm taking two running backs back to back picks,
maybe you know, taking the one that I have a
little lower in my rankings if I think my league
mate is gonna take him, and I can still get
my guy afterwards. But sometimes you get burned. That's like
that too.
Speaker 2 (59:15):
No, absolutely, and and again, like I'm not saying be
aggressive and stuff. But if you're utilizing draft Intel, which
the one page like high points on it, you sink
your league to fantasy pros and you get drafted. Like
with draft Intel, you could see what your league has done.
It's telling you what your league has done. So like
when you're doing mock drafts, it's not just well, I hope,
(59:36):
but I don't know if Droigen is gonna take a
quarterback there, Well, Georgie Boy's taking a quarterback in round three.
For the last four freaking years, George is taking a
quarterback in round three. You ain't gonna worry about that. Yes, So,
like it gives you those insights. So you're not just
doing mock drafts just to do mock drafts, and you're
not just working muscles to say to work muscles. It's
you're doing this and you're getting in the edge because
(59:56):
when you walk into the draft, Dude, I've drafted all
against all you fools for like thirty times.
Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
I know exactly what you're gonna do. Uh. Last two
questions here, rapid fire before we get out of here.
Is there any talk of Keenan Allen or a MARII
Cooper finding lending spots. I've heard nothing. I wouldn't expect
to hear anything, and probably at least for a couple
more weeks. You know, these old guys, they don't want
to get out there, and you know, burn calories and
and you know, exhaust themselves when they don't have to.
But but if you're in some like leagues like Scott Fishbowl,
(01:00:24):
I'm absolutely have Keenan Allen and Amari Cooper both of
my q uh guys I'm looking for late in the
draft there Keenan yes, Amari no. Okay, I think Keenan
still has good football. You take a wash after last year? Yeah,
I think. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
I don't think Amar's getting signed unless there's like an injury.
But Keenan, do put him on the Jaguars or put
him on the Falcons. The Falcons are like the Landings bottle.
Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
It's very good. I want him up in Pittsburgh. I
mean not for fantasy, but just like you know, we
know your your home or your Homer show. You need
a guy. I'm just saying we need a guy, like,
don't stand up your Homer show. We're running out of
Calvin Austin at wide receiver too. We you know know
you stick got Roman Wilson the hope, like I know
kind of, I still got him. I still got him
stashed a few places. Kendre Miller finally happening this year.
(01:01:07):
Maybe I hope, Dear God, please Kellen Moore be praised. Nope, now, nope,
it's for me. Sorry man, man, Yeah, sorry about that's
a nope for me. Your your Candre Miller hope should
be you drafting Devin Neils. Yes, yes, yeah, I agree
with you on that one for sure. Uh all right,
well that's going to do it for us on this
