Speaker 1 (00:00):
First date of follow up. Bella is on the phone
today for a first date follow up, and she's getting
ghosted by a guy named Darren's in a few minutes,
we're gonna call him and see if it's as us,
why is ghosting her and maybe get her another date.
But first, Bella, how long has it been since your
date with Darren? Uh?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
It's been two weeks. I'm a little confused.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Yeah, well two weeks to be stuck in your head sucks,
just wondering what happened.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
That's a long time.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
I said it just because I feel you, Bella, I
understand the frustration of why you wanted to call us.
Was the last time you talked to him on the
date or did you guys have any exchange afterwards?

Speaker 5 (00:39):
He like texted me like thanks for coming and it
was nice and stuff, and then I said thank you,
and then he never I like said like good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
A couple days later and he.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Didn't say anything.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
I mean, he booked us a reservation at this place
and he had been really really excited to go. It's
like a French place. They had like white people cloths
and chandeliers and like oh, there was like a jazz
trio and it was it was really nice. Yeah, and
he seemed excited to go and yeah, so we met

(01:14):
and like he was really cute and we got along,
like we shared an obsession of our like old heist
movies and stuff. So I mean it was going really
well from what I thought. But yeah, the thanks for
coming a little weird.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
That is weird.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
Did you guys do anything after the restaurant or was
that the entirety of the date?

Speaker 5 (01:40):
No, we went to the restaurant and then we went
to his place. We had like a little night cap
and we actually made out, okay, and yeah, and he.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Like lit candles.

Speaker 5 (01:55):
It was really nice. I don't know. He he would
like play a song that he liked, and then I
would show him a song that I liked, and we
were like really vibing, and I feel like it was
like electric. And so I don't know, I don't know
what happened. I like left the date. I was like floating.

(02:19):
I like knew there was going to be.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
A second date.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
He got along so well in like two weeks, and
I'm kind of spiraling.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Understand, why what do you think could have gone wrong?
I'm sure you thought about a lot of scenarios over
the last two weeks.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
I just I At one point I told him that.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I didn't shave my legs.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
And he.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
Like laughed and like pretended to cut his hand on
my legs double and stuff, and I don't know, we
laughed about it, but maybe he was gross out about
that or did I talk about my cat too much?
I like went to the restaurant at one point, and
then when I came back, he was like, oh, I'm
so tired.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Well, why don't you break down your date for us
again real quick?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
We went to a French restaurant.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
It was really nice. We had like similar interests like
old movies and music, and then we like went back
to his place and made out and it seemed great.
Seemed like it was going great, but he didn't call
me back.

Speaker 2 (03:28):
I wasn't worried.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
It was like that I didn't shake my legs, like
I talked about my cat too much.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
But I'm really confused. I like went to the bathroom.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
When I came back, he was like, I'm tired, and yeah,
I haven't heard from him since.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Well, are you ready for us to call him? And
see if I tell us. Okay, all right, here we go. Hi,
I ma menspeaking to Darren please?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Oh yeah? Yeah? What's so?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Hey Darren? How are you? This is a radio show.
It's called The Jubile Show.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
Hi, Darren. I'm Nina.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
Hi, I'm Victoria and my name's Jubel.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
Hi. Hi.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Have you heard of the show before?

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah? I think so.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Okay, that's good.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Cool. Well, guess what you're on the show right now
because we do a segment that's called the first Date
follow Up. That's where if you go out on a
date with somebody and you end up ghosting them, they
can get us on the phone to call you and
ask why you're ghosting? And we got an email about you? Okay,
any idea who would email us?

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Uh? Yeah, maybe, but I don't want to Yeah maybe?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Okay, Well, who do you think it is? You don't
want to go first?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
You want me to tell you it is?

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Bella?

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yep?

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Is that who you were thinking?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Yes? That is I was thinking.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Okay, Well, Bella emailed us and she said she really
like going out with you, but she's confused. Do you
mind telling us why you're ghostinger?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yes? Okay?

Speaker 6 (05:01):
She stole my dental floss and got all proud of it.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
Stole your d yes. It was so weird, Like, okay,
so when.

Speaker 6 (05:13):
We got back to my we got back to my
place whatever after the end of the day, and then
she got up to go to the bathroom and I
saw that she had one of those big persons, like
a big mary popping purses. It was just like full
of forks and knives from the restaurant.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
We were just that it was so weird.

Speaker 6 (05:32):
So because I asked about it, and she was like, well,
you know, like I always take a little something from
every place I visit. And then she like showed me
the floss that she just took from my bathroom.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
WHOA, Okay, so she's a collector.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yeah, or a colecto.

Speaker 6 (05:50):
She was like, she said, this is my souvenir from
the first night at your place.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
I don't want that kind of energy around.

Speaker 6 (05:56):
And I honestly I didn't really know what to do
because I was like in wonder, like feel more important.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Stuff or whatever. So I just kind of you know
what I mean.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
So I'm just kind of called it, Well, darn, thank
you for telling us why you're ghostinger. Now I'll let
you know that Bella is actually on the phone and
wants to talk to you.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Wait what she's uh gonna call in? Why would you hi?

Speaker 6 (06:23):
Blue?

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Wow? Uh Okay.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
I just think I feel like that's like ridiculous, Like
you ghost to me over that and you have like
a whole pack you have like a.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Flaw. It's not the floss itself, like I can get
new flows. It was the fact that it.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
Was so like you were so flip about it, like
it was just like, oh, this is just like a little.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Something I do. I'm like, it's just not that's not
cute to me.

Speaker 6 (06:55):
Like there was dessert spoons like sticking out of your purse,
Like it's that image in my head.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
What do you do with those?

Speaker 5 (07:04):
I'm just like sentimental and I mean with the silverware,
I use it, but like I like to take a souvenir.
We went to a really cute place, and I just
don't think it's that serious. People steal from cutlery from
restaurants all the time.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
No, No, they don't, they don't. They don't do that.

Speaker 6 (07:25):
Maybe people get like extra jos sticks from like the
takeout place like Wooden Wonder whatever you're taking like full
on silverware and a dates sloths like zoom out.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
That's weird.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Well, I have a friend that you can take those cups,
like those glasses that you get from like breweries and stuff.

Speaker 4 (07:41):
She'd pocket those.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Yeah, like that's so literature from a bar before.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
See from a bar? I do feel like that was when.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
I did it, I wiped out with a full picture
under my jacket, so that was a different, different thing.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Okay, sorry, I'm trying to help Bella.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
And like, yeah, I have a bunch of fancies silver
where now it's they're like cute and mismatched, but like
fancy they.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Tell and they all tell a story.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Yeah that's called stealing.

Speaker 5 (08:10):
Okay, I don't know. It's called making memories. To me,
that's minor larceny, all right, whatever. I guess we just
don't agree. Yeah, Like property is just property, but love
is love, you know, like I'm saying that, Like, and
if you can, if you connect with someone, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Yes, I can think it was somebody I wouldn't steal
from them. Oh you took my floss too. This is
a weird thing to take. I guess in my mouth
it's creepy.

Speaker 5 (08:43):
I feel like it's fine, loss is not that expensive.
And I was being cute and you're I feel like
you're overreacting. But I also told you about it, so
I wasn't really stealing. I was trying to create like
a long lasting memory, you know, we tell her kids
about it or something.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Hey, Darren, would you like another date with Bella? We'll
pay for it.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
She really likes you.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
Uh no, I'm good, all right, Like, if you want
to send me your address again so that I can
send you back your floss and your comb that I took.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
I knew, Oh my god that
