First date to follow up.

Easton is on the phone today for a first day
follow up, and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Tensely.
So in a few minutes we'll call her and see
if she tells why she's ghosting him and maybe get
him a second date. But first, Easton, why do you
think you're getting ghosted?

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Probably because I shot her with finger guns twice.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
B Yeah, they could do it.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
I was nervous.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
I was nervous.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Man. I'm knowing who Tenessey was for a few years,
and like, we get coffee at the same place every morning,
and you.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
Know, sometimes we say hi.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
And we've had like a few short conversations standing in line,
you know, and a couple of weeks ago, I asked
her out as she said yes, cool, So you know,
I was kind of in my head about it and
all nervous, and I kept fumbling over the stuff I
was saying to her. But she seemed pretty into it,
so I don't think there was really a problem until

the end of the day. Okay, the guns, Yeah, I
Like I drove us to the restaurant, and like, at
the end of the night, I walked up to her
door and like I'm already bad about knowing if a
girl wants to kiss or not. And I'm just big
one like consent.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
You know, that's a good thing, right, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
But we were standing there and it was all quiet,
and like, looking back, I'm pretty serious she wanted at
least a hug, but like I got nervous and literally
like shot her fingers out and said stay dangerousous.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
On the day, dangerous on top of the finger gun.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
She feels so stupid, y'all. Like she did laugh, but
she gotta looked at me all weird and like, you know,
I got in the car thinking I can't believe I
just did that, and you know, then from her door
again she said bye. And then instead of turning around

and actually saying bye like a normal human, I turned
around and doubled down on the finger guns.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
I want to ask why, But.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
You're nervous, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
I was nervous, man, Like I really like her and
I just didn't want her to think I was like
want some.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Creep or whatever, like trying to grab on her.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
You know, I got her.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
I feel like an idiot, man, I just want another chance,
Like I haven't seen her at the coffee shop since that.

Speaker 5 (02:27):
You definitely got good intentions.

Maybe she just thought like you were friend zoning her
with the finger guns.

Yeah the danger, Yes, that's not you know. Easton is
on the phone and he's getting ghosted by a woman
named Tenseley. So we're about to call her and see

getting ghosted.

Because we went on a date and.

I kind of hit her with the finger guns after
instead of giving her a hug like a normal person.

Well, because we got an email about you. That's why
we're calling you today.

Well, we do a segment on the show it's called
the first eight follow Up. That's where if you go
out on a date with somebody and you end up
ghosting them, that person can email us to get you
on the phone and ask why you're ghosting them. And
so we got an email about you from somebody who
wants to know why you're not calling them back.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
His name is Easton. Yeah, and he said he liked
you a lot. We talked to him. He's just really
curious why you're not getting back to him after your date,
because he.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Told everybody at the coffee shop that we sup together.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
Who why? How do you know? I mean, I'm not
sure what he told you, but we go to the
same coffee shop every morning.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
I don't anymore, So you stop going to the coffee
shops at your date?

Speaker 6 (04:44):
Yeah, I didn't want to see him anymore because I
mean I went to the coffee shop and the day
after our date, and I was excited to see him
there because I thought the date was really fun and
that he was really cute, and like during the date,

(05:05):
I could tell that he was like super nervous to
be out with me.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
And he told me he had a crush on me.

Speaker 4 (05:11):
For like two years.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
And actually, at the end of the.

Speaker 6 (05:15):
Day was really funny and cute because I wanted to
kiss him and he was so nervous. He did this
weird little finger gun thing and just walked off.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
And he thought that was the reason you're ghosting was
because he was nervous and he did the finger guns
at you.

Speaker 6 (05:31):
Oh no, it was because when they showed up to
get coffee the day after.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
He had already been in there. And it's usually like
the same crew at the coffee shop and were regulars.
And so the barista looked at me and said, how
did it go with.

Speaker 6 (05:46):
Easton last night? And I was just like, it was
really fun. And another one of the workers was like, yeah,
he was just here a little bit ago and said
he got lucky and they just went nice and they're talking.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (06:05):
It really just gave me like an instant about him.
And I don't even want to go back to that
coffee shop now.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
And this is the guy that wouldn't even kiss you
finger guns to you.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
That's why it doesn't sound like him. I mean I
don't know him.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Well, yeah, so I was so excited too, but he
just he's just a typical douchebag.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
I guess, all right, well, thank you for telling us
why you're ghosting him.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
I guess you're welcome.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Yeah, and now I'll let you know he's actually on
the phone listening and wants to.

Speaker 1 (06:40):

We should ask him.

Oh my gosh, easton.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
Him.

I'm just so I'm like freaking out a little bit because,
like I'm where, I didn't tell them that we hooked up,
or at least I didn't like intend for them to
think that.

Speaker 6 (07:07):
I just don't believe that, because they clearly all thought that, and.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
I don't think they would have been like that if
you didn't tell him that.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
What did they say to you again in Tenley that
he said at the coffee shop?

Speaker 1 (07:25):
They were like, yeah, he was just here and he
said he got lucky. Okay, Oh my god, did you
say that?

Speaker 4 (07:32):
He said?

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Okay, okay, all right. Look, I swear I didn't tell
them we hooked up. And I guess it makes a
little more sense now why they would say that, Like
I really like you, and I was so nervous and
awkward about the date, like I shot figure guns at
you at this stay dangerous and I feel like an idiot,
and I know I could be like really awkward sometimes.

(07:54):
But I think what happened is that I went to
get coffee and asked how the date was, and I
was still nervous, and I don't I didn't know what
to say. I think I just said I got lucky,
and like what I meant to say is that I
felt lucky, like I was lucky that I got a
date with you, like a.

Speaker 5 (08:14):
Very different things.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah, and now they were saying all this out loud,
like I understand what happened because David, David's one of
the breasts. He gave me knuckles and he said, nice,
that's my guy, and I didn't get it. But I
was just like he was, like, good job asking her out.
I thought, you know, oh my god, man, I gave

him knuckles back too, and I said, I said, who's
the man?

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Like really looked like you were raging.

Speaker 3 (08:46):
There in a moment, but like, oh my god, I'm
so sorry. It does look like I was like bragging
about hooking up and like I didn't mean to do that,
Like I really didn't get it until just now. And
also who says who's the man.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I mean, you gotta start keeping your hands in your pocket?

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Said how about this? Would you would you guys like
to go out again? Would you like to go out
with Easton again? I believe it sounds like you just
it sounds like he puts his foot in his mouth.

A lot slightly. It's really cute.
