Grant is on the phone today for a first date
follow up and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Rosie.
So in a few minutes we'll call her and see
if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe
get him a second date. But first, Grant, why do
you think you're getting ghosted.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Because I accidentally called her stupid on our date?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Yeah, I'll really do it. How did that happen?

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Yeah? Well, I mean we were at a chill bar.
Everything was going great, I mean, good banter, flirting, laughing,
you know, the whole thing. And she started to tell
a story about how she got lost driving because she
missed a turn, and she, you know, tried to be playful,
and I responded, wait, that's actually kind of stupid.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Okay, I'm assuming you didn't like mean it out it
comes off.

Speaker 4 (01:02):
No, No, I mean I immediately realized how that sounded,
and I tried to recover. I was like, no, no, no,
not you like the situation. The situation is stupid.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Okay, that's a tough one to come back from.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
What did she say?

Speaker 4 (01:20):
Yeah, oh man, Well, I mean I was like, you know,
you're obviously smart, like you seem very aware of roads
and directions, and yet I mean, and then she got
quiet and like gave a polite smile and just sort
of changed the subject.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Oh no, okay, okay, yeah, yeah, was that it was
right then and there?

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Well, I mean, you know, the rest of the day
was good.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
You know I walked her to a car, and you know,
we had a small kiss, and then that was that.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Okay, you kissed after you called her stupid. It's not
totally lost them. You didn't call her stupid, it was
it was a situation that was stupid. I'm just saying, Okay, well,
then you've recovered somehow, or it was a pity kiss
and she hasn't talked to you at all since the date.

Speaker 4 (02:13):
No, no, So I'm like, oh my gosh, is it
really like that little faux paul?

Speaker 5 (02:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Do you think she's too dumb to dial a phone.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
In the middle of our first day? Follow me if
you're just joining us. Grant is on the phone and
he's getting ghosted by a woman named Rosie.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
So we're about to call her and.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
See if she'll tell us why she's ghosting and maybe
get him a second date. But first, grant, why don't
you tell us why you think you're getting ghosted again?

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Because her stupid.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
At least you get it. That's an issue.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
To your credit, she was talking about something that happened
while she was driving and you met. The situation was stupid,
but it came off like you were like legit calling
hers to right. Okay, all right, well we'll see if
that is the reason.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Here we go.

I'm gonna dial her phone number right now. Hi, mass
speak to Rosie please, yea, Hey Rosie, how are you?

Oh, okay, is there anybody that you're ghosting right now? Well,
I mean I've definitely been on a few dates recently.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Is it Ben good for you? No, it is not Ben.
It's somebody else. Okay, I'm so sorry Adam.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
No, but I'd love to know why Adams getting ghosted.
But he's not the person that we're calling about.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Ether where do you find them?

Speaker 3 (04:31):
What are you stupid?

Speaker 1 (04:33):
What we apologize?

Is it the family guy?

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Uh? What is his name? Grant?

Speaker 6 (04:46):
Is it Grant is that you're talking about?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yes, it is Grant. I don't know why you called
him the family guy, but it is Grant.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Well, I yeah, I called him that because you brought
his sister to our gate.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
What why.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Don't know, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
Like he like they showed up together, him and his sister.

Speaker 6 (05:09):
No, okay, so the date was fun at first, Like
it was fine.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
He called me stupid ones, but he did tell us
about that.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Yeah, he said he was talking about like the situation,
but it came off like he was calling you stupid.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
Yeah, I mean that's fine, Like I can take a
little banner like no red deal, but that's not the problem.
Out of nowhere, Like during the date, his sister showed
up and he introduced me to her, and then he
asked her to sit down and eat with us. And

(05:46):
I was just a little confused, because who brings their
sister to a first date? Like, really weird.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Even if I was out and my sister was in
the same place, somehow, somehow, I would still probably not
ask her to sit down and eat with.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
The next thing, yeah he.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Did.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
What did you have nice conversation with her? Could you see?

Speaker 5 (06:13):
I mean, I guess I kind of felt like a
little bit grilled by her, Like she was very I
don't know, I.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
Don't want to be word.

Speaker 6 (06:21):
She's kind of nosy.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
I guess.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Oh is she the older sister? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (06:27):
Yeah, And she was like I just wanted to check
up and see how it was going.

Speaker 5 (06:32):
And she just was asking me like all this stuff, like.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
What's your emotional trigger? You're like because quickly like should
I be worried?

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Oh wow on a first day? Wow? Thank you for
telling us that. I will agree. That's a little strange.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
And and Grant is actually on the phone and wants
to talk to you.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Oh okay, yeah, hey can I can? I?

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Yeah, go for it, Grant, Like.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Look, and she randomly shut up at the bar and
like you know, came up and everything and you know
said hi. I mean was like what was I supposed
to do? You know? And I mean, I you know,
didn't want to be rude, but I mean, like, you.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Know, you didn't have to invite her to sit with us,
and she didn't have to stay there for the entire time.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
Like do you not see how that's crazy?

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Rosie? I mean, look, I've only gone on one date
with you, okay, and now you're already trying to like
get in between me and my family. That's that's kind
of messed up. Like what's she I shouldn't.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
Even be involved with your family, Like we went on
one date. There shouldn't even be a chance for me
to get in between you and your family, Like what.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
You want me to cut.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Off my family like that for one date?

Speaker 1 (07:55):
I think that's what she's saying.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
What I didn't, I literally I just didn't want to
like meet your sister in debt, like interviewed by her,
and like is that what you do to everyone you
take on a date? Like you bring your mom, your
sister and brother, Like, am I gonna meet your grandma
if we go on another date?

Speaker 1 (08:14):
I don't understand, Like, you.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Know, you're being super dramatic here. Okay, come on, I think, like, duck,
you don't.

I just don't need to break up my family, you know.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
I mean, you don't have to be so dramatic.

Well, sorry, yeah, I'm trying to break up your family.

another opportunity?

I think, like, knowing this whole situation, I think you'd
probably just like take me to a family reunion for
the second date.

First of all, my family reunion isn't for two more months.
