Jake was convinced his date with Serena was a success. They had chemistry, shared laughs, created a flirty inside joke, and even ended the night with a kiss. So when she suddenly stopped responding, he couldn't figure out what went wrong.

When Serena joins The Jubal Show's First Date Follow Up, her version of trivia night reveals a series of moments Jake either completely overlooked—or remembers very differently. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear why one unforgettable night left them on two very different pages.

Was it all just a misunderstanding, or did one moment change everything? Listen to hear the full story.

First Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at Advocateslaw dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Jake is on the phone today for a first date
follow up and he's getting ghosted by Serena. So in
a few minutes we'll call her and see if she'll
tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him
another date. But first, Jake, how long has it been
since you heard from Serena.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
It's been probably about a week and a half.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
M So have you been trying to get a hold
of her.

Speaker 5 (00:28):
Yeah, I tried to call like a couple times, but
I'm trying.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Not to be too pushy. But it's been like maybe
two days since the last time I reached out.

Speaker 6 (00:39):
Okay, have you reached out a bunch?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
I don't think so.

Speaker 6 (00:44):
What it meant I think more.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Than three times if somebody's ghosting you, I feel like
more than three times it's too much.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
How how's two calls and one text?

Speaker 6 (00:54):
Oh that's not bad?

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (00:55):
Yeah, well I don't know two calls counts for like
two text messages.

Speaker 6 (00:59):
Oh, but that's okay.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
This is where we are now.

Speaker 6 (01:02):
Did you leave any crying voicemails?

Speaker 3 (01:04):
Oh? No, no, I didn't leave any that's a plus.

Speaker 4 (01:09):
Yeah, Okay, let's talk about the date. How did that go?

Speaker 5 (01:14):
So we went out to trivia night at a bar
around town and it was a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
We have really good vibes. I love trivia like and
I figured to be a great date because there's something interactive.
We had a lot of fun.

Speaker 5 (01:29):
We crushed a few rounds, and our chemistry was it
was awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:34):
The drinks were flowing.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
The team name even became like a little flirty inside
joke between me and.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Her by the end of the night.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
What was the team name?

Speaker 5 (01:45):
The team name was the scores, like like you're scoring,
you know what I mean?

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Okay, okay, I see where the joke's going, right right.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
So and she's also like really really smart but now
and like web it in your face kind of way.
She was like laughing at my jokes and nobody ever
does that really special, like they land like fifty to
fifty percent of the time, you know. So, yeah, it
all went really well and there was like there was

(02:19):
a definitely a kiss at the end of the night.
And it was not like fireworks all over the place,
but it was a little bit of a spark, a
little bit of a thing if you feel what I mean.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Okay, so kind of feel what you mean. So what
you're saying was it wasn't the best kiss, but it
was all right enough that you want to get a
hold of her.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Yeah, I mean, then I guess I wouldn't even say
that the kiss was bad. Okay. It wasn't like, you know,
to stick your foot up in the air type kids.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
I think it was kind of just the It seems
like the kisses in the future are going.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
To be way better, you know what I mean, kind
of like it's a little a little kiss.

Speaker 6 (02:57):
Okay, Well, we'll see if we can figure it out.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
We'll play a song come back, and then call her
and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you
and maybe get you another date. Okay, okay, thanks, all right,
we'll get your first day follow up next.

Speaker 1 (03:07):

tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him
another day if he still wants one. But before we
do that, Jake, tell us what happened on your date
again real quick.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
So we went out to go play trivia.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
We had a really good time, lots of fun chemistry,
but I think I might have gotten a little bit
too intense.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
But she didn't seem.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
Too bothered about it at that, you know, at when
it happened.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
And we did kiss at the end of the night.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
But the kiss wasn't kick your leg up kiss. It
was just a spark.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
I love that. Yeah, okay, all right, you ready for
us to call her?

to the Jubel Show before? I no, you don't have
to apologize. It's fine.
