Speaker 1 (00:00):
First date follow up. Jenna is on the phone today
for a first date follow up, and she's getting ghosted
by a dude named Luca. So in a few minutes
we'll call him and see if he'll tell us why
he's ghostinger and maybe get her another date. But first, Jenna,
how long has it been since you heard from Luca?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
It has been a week. I haven't heard anything in
a week.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Okay, that's usually the spot where everybody starts to panic
a little bit. How many times did you reach out
to him in that time?
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Probably like once a day, you know. I just usually
sent him photos of my dog because he that's how
we met. Our dog totally hit it off, and at
first I was getting like a little bit of feedback
and now just nothing.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Okay, Well let's talk about the date then.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Well we met at a dog park, well actually our
dogs met first. His golden doodle literally tackled my pug
beans and it felt meant to be, and we ended
up grabbing coffee and we just talked for like two
hours about astrology, about oat milk conspiracies, about his tattoo
(01:12):
that he swears is the moon but it totally is.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
Okay, wait, he has tattoo that he says isn't the moon,
but it is.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Yeah, he was trying to say it was like some
other I don't even like some other edgy kind of
niche thing. But I was like, that's literally a moon.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Oh So it's like when people are like that's an
artochoke and you're like, no, the tattoo on my neck
is a lotus flower.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
So yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
And at one point he literally watched me parallel park
and he didn't even he didn't even judge. So I
feel like that's intimacy.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Oh yeah, I mean in a way. Okay, you feel comfortable?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Yeah, absolutely, it felt so comfortable and so natural.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Well, then what could have gone wrong?
Speaker 2 (02:03):
I I truly don't know. At one point, he wiped
oatmelk's foam off of my nose with his finger, Edie
licked it. It just made me feel like he was
really into me. Like I don't know how else to
interpret that, Like it feels like he's he's into me.
He was into it.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Okay, So what do you think the thing is? Why
do you think you're getting ghosted?
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Well? Okay, so when he when he wipes the oat
milk off of my nose, I leaned in to kiss
his nose. I justs he licks the foam off off
my nose or with his finger. I just thought it
was only right to balance it with like a romantic,
like little nose peck. In the moment, it felt really romantic.
(02:47):
But but the way he reacted was was shocked?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Really, so did he do?
Speaker 2 (02:54):
We laughed about it, what about how stilly it was?
I thought I was embarrassed, but I thought we were
back on track. But maybe he's still thinking about it.
I hope not.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
I'm thinking about it. Jenna is on the phone and
she's getting ghosted by a guy named Lucas. So we're
about to call him and see if he'll tell us
why he's ghosting her and maybe get her a second
date if she still wants one. But before we do that, Jenna,
why don't you break down your date for us again?
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Real quick?
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Well, our dog's got to meet cute in the park.
We hit it off the absolutely vibe, so we went
to get coffee and talked for like two hours about
everything under the sun, really, and he the craziest part
is that he like I had oatmelt foam on my
nose and he wiped it off with his finger and
(03:42):
licked it.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
And you think you might be getting ghosted because at
the end of the day you kissed his nose to
balance the nose sash at.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
There was one awkward moment. I was trying to roll
with the whole like kissing the nose thing, and so
I kissed his nose and it was awkward, but we
laughed it off, laughed it off, and so I'm hoping,
I'm hoping it's not that.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
But that's the only thing I can tell what bassis
nos action like, that's function.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Not a lot of days dates first dates have nose action.
All right, you're ready for us to call him? Yeah, okay,
here we go. Hell, hi, man, I speak to Luca. Please.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
This is who's this?
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Hey Luca? How are you?
Speaker 3 (04:25):
This is a radio show. It's called the Jubil Show.
Hi Luca, I'm Nina him and my name is Jubell.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
How are you? What's up?
Speaker 4 (04:32):
I'm alright?
Speaker 1 (04:33):
So the three you guys, Yeah you listened to the
show ever?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, I've listened to you guys before. I mean, it's
just kind of weird that you guys are calling me.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Sure.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah, Well we're calling you today because we got an
email about you from somebody.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Okay, a good email or like bed like, what kind
of email.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
Yeah, it's a great email. Actually, But we do a
segment called the first Day follow Up. That's where if
you go out on a date with somebody and then
you end up ghosting them, that person can email us
to get you on the phone and ask why you're ghosting.
Then okay, so we got an email about you from
somebody that you're ghosting. Okay, you know that would be
(05:12):
I mean, I got a guess, I got a guess.
Take a guess.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
I mean Jenna, the lavender latte girl.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Yes it is Jenn, Yeah, tell us why you're ghosting her?
Speaker 5 (05:29):
I mean, she was just she was just kind of weird,
you know, like I mean, i mean be unique sign,
you know, but like she brought a crystal to the
coffee date, like she's like a little amethyst and sat
on the table set and needed to charge. Then she
proceeded to give me like a twelve minute speech about
how she and her dog are twin souls.
Speaker 6 (05:51):
Oh you know, like okay, she asked me if I
ever felt emotionally manipulated by her coffee order, you know,
like one.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Most manipulated by her coffee order.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
What does that mean?
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Yeah, yeah, that was a conversation starter.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
Yeah yeah, great, yeah, mindsighted, but that's nice.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
What's up, general?
Speaker 2 (06:18):
I was just being authentic, but you literally said that
you wanted someone grounded and real, so I should have
reel you.
Speaker 6 (06:26):
You asked the beresta if the oak milk had been
vibe checked, like there's a.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Lot because mercury was acting weird. Energy matters.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
I mean you also tried to stage the table, you know,
like it.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Was it was palacento. I was protecting our connection. I
just slightly lightly burned it.
Speaker 6 (06:48):
Jenna, Listen, you're super interesting, You're funny. But did you
notice that I barely said two words about myself?
Speaker 2 (06:58):
What? No, Well, we had like a great flow.
Speaker 6 (07:04):
Listen, you had a monologue, right, I know about your
dog's dreams, your third eye chakra, you have abandonment.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
Issues, what about me? Did you even know that I'm
an engineer?
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Oh you're an engineer. That's cool, that's dope.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
So I guess you didn't know.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
You didn't know that, No, I didn't.
Speaker 4 (07:27):
Yeah, that's because we never got to meet.
Speaker 7 (07:30):
In the conversation, it was just I mean, you don't
know that I moved here where I moved from, or
that I just simply don't believe in the chakras and
the crystals and all this.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
You just moved here from where.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
I don't think that's the point, Jenna.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Okay, I'm sorry for being in tune with myself.
Speaker 6 (07:54):
I'm not trying to knock it all right, Like you know,
I just felt you weren't really and who I am.
You know, you were interviewing me for a vibe check,
like you wonder to see if we are vibes.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Match, and that's it.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
I thought that we clicked.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
I mean you're not. You're not boring, all right, I'll.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
Give you that.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Well, okay, what if you try again and maybe we
do something quieter, like a walk with the dogs and
no talking about past lives.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Would you like another day with Jenna? Will pay for it?
Speaker 6 (08:30):
Listen, Jenna, I think you're a lot of things, but
just maybe not my thing.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
Okay, Like you're cool, but I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Just admit it. You vibed more with my dog than me.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Oh yeah, one hundred percent. Your dog is chill like
I love the dog.
Speaker 2 (08:50):
That's because they're spiritually grounded. Unlike some people.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
Can I can I go on a second date with
just a dog? Is that cool?
Speaker 2 (08:59):
I mean no, We're inseparable. He gets separation anxiety. I
couldn't just give you him.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
I think he was joking.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
But oh, okay, well then I mean, yeah, sure, okay.
Jubile's first day fault
