First Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Jordan is on the phone today for a first date
follow up, and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Elise.
So in a few minutes we'll call her and see
if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe
get him the second date that he so desperately desires.
Oh well, first we got to find out what happened. So, Jordan,
what's up. How long has it been since you heard
from Elise?

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Oh? Hi, it's been almost two weeks.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Okay, okay, so it's been a little while. Have you
tried to reach out to.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Her, just just the once? I didn't really want to push.
I didn't want to be that guy, you know what
I mean, sir?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
How was the date or how did you guys end
the date?

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
We ended it with what felt like a good hug.
It wasn't rushed, It wasn't it was felt intentional. It
was it was a solid hug, I mean, with the
ending of a good night.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Really, that didn't warrant a ghosting, not that.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
I thought I wouldn't expected. Well, tell us about the date, Okay, Well,
we actually we met in real life. Doesn't really happen anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Wait, like for the first time you ever met was
in real life.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Yeah, it was like it was like face to face.
It reminded me of high school good times.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
Well, how did you meet in real life?

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Well, we were waiting online at a food truck and
we just started chatting. Eventually I got to it and
asked her, asked her out to a cool taco spot
and she agreed. So that was nice, and we ended
up we ended up meeting, meeting at the taco spot
and uh ordered tacos, got Margarita's. She she she suggested

(01:41):
sharing everything, which I thought was really cool, like family style.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
Okay, yeah it was.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I mean for me, it was fine. We got to
try because we got different things. I got to try
her fish tacos, she tried my carnitas.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
It was you know, it was nice, all right. I
know you didn't mean that to be funny, It was.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
All right.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
So you enjoyed each other's tacos. And then then what happened.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Uh, honestly, after after dinner, we just kind of went
for a walk, just hung out one for a walk
and talked more. And that's when we kind of called
it and I gave her a hug which felt, like
I said, intentional and good solid, And that was that.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Was she giving you signs on the date like she'd
want to see you again? Like did it feel that
was surely going to happen?

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Well?

Speaker 5 (02:34):
She so, so I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
It felt grounded, like it was calm, like it was
it was easy to talk to, and it was like
I didn't have to perform or anything I had to.
I could just be myself, which doesn't often happen that
you sometimes when we first meet somebody out.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Like fun right, Why do you think she's ghosting you?

Speaker 3 (02:54):
I have no idea. I honestly I replayed everything we
thought we I was wondering if it was something that
I might have said. Maybe I talked about my ex
too much, but she asked about my ex. I didn't
like bring it up awkwardly.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
We ended kind of on good terms anyway. It was
a relationship that fizzled out and that was that and
kind of left it too right there?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
What was she asking?

Speaker 3 (03:18):
So?

Speaker 2 (03:18):
What is she trying to find out about you by
asking that question? Like how you guys ended?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Yeah? Just why?

Speaker 5 (03:23):
Why?

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Did we split?

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Okay? Okay, And it wasn't like she asked about your
acc and the floodgates opened and it was like three
hours long. Was you just talking about your ex?

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Now?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
No, Jordan is on the phone and he's getting ghosted
by a woman named Elise. So we're about to call
her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting
him and maybe get him a second date. But first, Jordan,
why don't you remind us about your date a little bit?

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Okay? Yeah, So we met in person at a taco truck.
We shared tacos and Margarita's. We had a great time,
great hug. And I haven't heard from her, but I
think it's because I talked about.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
My ex too much.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I hope not because she talked about hers too, So
that would be kind of a double sea.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
And she was asking about like I don't know, you're
kind of asking the questions. All right, Jordan, you're ready
for us to call her?

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Okay, here we go. Hello, Hi, may I speak to Elise? Please?

Speaker 5 (04:31):
This is Elise?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Elise? How are you? This is a jewel show, It's
a radio show. Hi, Elise, I'm Nina. Hi, I'm Victoria
and my name is Jewble. What's going on?

Speaker 5 (04:41):
Oh my god?

Speaker 3 (04:42):
Hi?

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Sorry, what's going on? Lots of people? What's happening?

Speaker 2 (04:46):
This is a radio show. It's called The Jebel Show,
and we do a segment on our show called the
first eight follow Up. So what it is is if
you go out on a date with somebody and then
you end up ghosting to that person, that person can
email us to call you and ask why you're ghosting them,
And we got an email about you. At least that's
why we're on the phone.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
Oh well, wait what he said? I was Wait you
got an email from someone. I'm so confused.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
His name is Jordan. You went on a day with
a dude named Jordan a few weeks ago.

Speaker 5 (05:19):
Wait, no, I like Jordan. Oh my god, No, I
don't ghosting him.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
You're not.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
I did not mean to ghost him.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
Jordan said that you haven't talked to him for like
almost two weeks now, and he's trying to get a
hold of you. And he responded and he's.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
Want no, no I liked Jordan? Wait is he okay?

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Well where have you been for two weeks?

Speaker 5 (05:44):
So let me think good morning.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
After like right after our date, my sister went into labor,
like early labor, like an emergency C section early, but
like I spent the whole like next day at the hospital,
and then for the next few days, I was running
back and forth, okay, from the hospital, helping my sister

(06:07):
and my brother in law, just getting going to their home,
going back to the hospital, back and forth, back and forth,
like I flew out of town, you know, so like
I I'm still out of town right now, and I'm
still like fransicled.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
I feel like I feel really bad.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
I'm telling myself i'd respond like once things calm down,
but then like things just have not calmed down, and
so the Dames days have like turned into khause, I
feel really bad.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Okay, Well, at least Jordan is actually on the phone
and wants to talk to you.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
You is she okay?

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Oh my god, I need to like I didn't really
be here. Hi, she is okay, Thank you for asking.
She's great. Actually she's in his mom she's really happy.
But I'm sorry, Oh that's great.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
Well, congratulations to your sister and your family. That's awesome.
I'm not cool with you not calling me back for
two weeks.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
Oh my gosh, I'm really sorry.

Speaker 5 (07:15):
That's on me.

Speaker 4 (07:16):
I guess I definitely should have acted or something.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
But I'm just saying this. I feel like, you know,
two weeks is a long time, and I feel like
if we're going to see each other, so I'm going
to be somebody that's going to be seen, It's like
I got to be a priority to you know what
I mean?

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Wow, I mean.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
It's see, your sister was the one with that had
the baby. I mean, how hard is it to help
out without taking fifteen minutes make a Oh?

Speaker 5 (07:44):
Wow, my god.

Speaker 4 (07:48):
I don't even, like, I don't know what to say
here because I feel like you were such a different
person on the day and what you're saying now, so
I'm like, I'm like flattergasted right now, Like I'm so disgusted.

Speaker 5 (08:02):
I don't even I definitely don't know what to say.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Like, I'm the one that's got around for two weeks, Jordan.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
A baby? What did you want me to? I went
on one date with you.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah, but but that doesn't make any any sense. We
had coacos together. Now, every time I drive by that place,
I think of your fish tacos, and I think I
get upset. Man, I cried like twice since I've driven
past that place.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
Why, Okay, that's really weird, Jordan. There's no such thing
as leaving someone on ghosted. There's just being ghosting, getting
really really weird.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Would you like another date with Jordan? We'll pay for it.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
I you know I did, and now I absolutely don't.
I don't care who pays for it.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
I would rather spend time with my sister and my
sister's new beautiful baby.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
This is so cringe like, I'm so I'm cringing.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
I'm sorry at least, no listen, it's it's it's it's cool.
We've had the chat, we talked about it. It's no
big deal whatever it is what it is. But you're
gonna tell you tell your sister, I said, congrats.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Okay, yeah, that won't mean anything because she doesn't know you.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Oh saying that too doesn't help.
