Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Date follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Online at Advocateslaw dot com.

Speaker 3 (00:07):
Raven is on the phone today for a first day
follow up and she's getting ghosted by a guy named Curtis.
So in a few minutes we'll call him and see
if you'll tell us why he's ghosting her and maybe
get her a second date. But first, Raven, how long
has it been since you heard from Curtis.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
It's been a couple of weeks.

Speaker 5 (00:25):
Okay, that's kind of a while. Have you tried to
reach out to him in that time.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
I've texted and called, but he just hasn't returned my calls.

Speaker 5 (00:34):
Oh no, okay, Well, why don't you tell us about
the date?

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Well, the date went really well, which is why this
is like so confusing.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
We had instant chemistry.

Speaker 6 (00:49):
He's super confident and really attractive, and he was a
good listener, which is also really attractive, So it just went.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Really really well.

Speaker 6 (01:00):
We went to a brewery and there was like a
late night pop up comedy show.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
You know, it was loud, but it was like intimate.
It was small, and you know, we shared a bench,
so I don't know, and just like the chemistry was
off the charts. There was lots of leaning in inside jokes.
We were really flirty and laughing and it just felt
like such.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
An amazing date.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
I don't know, we just had the same kind of
sense of humor, you know. So the day went well.
We ended up going back to Curtis's place after and well, you.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Know, it went really well.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
So you know, we're laying in bed afterwards, everything's relaxed,
where I like having some pillow talk.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
It was really soft and quiet.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
So you went back.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
And it wasn't just like to play games or for
a nightcap, like it really really really well.

Speaker 4 (02:03):
It went really really really wow.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
Thank you for.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
So we're joking a little bit and then here's where.

Speaker 6 (02:18):
I don't know, I can't. This is the moment that
I can't get out of my brain. It's mortifying. Okay,
So we're joking and I was laughing at something small,
you know, and then I just like.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
My laugh like escalated and I started snorting, okay, and
then couldn't.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Catch my breath and I started choking. So I was
likeing and like couldn't, couldn't just like stop, And he's
sitting up, he's patting my back. He got me some water,
but like I clocked it, Curtis looked terrified.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
Like what is happening with this chick right now? It
was just not great.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Oh well, it's definitely awkward. I feel like it would
be very dramatic if he decided to be like oh,
she snorted and choked. I mean, it's highly possible. I
wouldn't put anything above a dude. But how did you
leave it? Like, so, did you just like get up
and go okay, thanks.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
I'm alive by Yeah, I just left, you know, I
just we woke up the next morning and I was like, okay.

Speaker 7 (03:26):
I jan since and you've heard nothing from him?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
Yeah, I mean I didn't. I didn't text like right
away that day. I waited like two days and then
I texted, and then I waited like another day before
I called. And I just haven't turned back. And I
don't want to be overbearing.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
I just don't love ghosting.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
After a hook cut, Raven is on the phone and
she's getting ghosted by a guy named Curtis. So we're
about to call him and see if he'll tell us
why he's ghostinger and maybe get her a second date.
But first, Raven why don't you break down your day again.

Speaker 7 (03:57):
For us real quick?

Speaker 1 (03:59):
So I went to this little comedy pop up at
a brewery and.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
Our chemistry was off the charts and we were really flirty.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
We went back to his place, we had a really
great time, and then we were joking.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
I was laughing.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
The laugh just escalated into a snort into.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
A cough that.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Just then wouldn't stop, and I think it freaked him out.
And I left the next day and I haven't heard
from him since.

Speaker 7 (04:28):
Okay, well, are you ready for us to call? Yeah,
all right, let's do it. Here we go. Hello, Hi, man,
I speak to Curtis. Please. This is so Hey Curtis,

(04:51):
how are you. This is a radio show. It's called
The Jewbil Show.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Hi, Curtis. I'mina.

Speaker 7 (04:55):
Hi, I'm Victoria and my name is Jubil. What's up?

Speaker 8 (04:59):
What's up with this all about?

Speaker 7 (05:03):
Have you ever heard of the show before?

Speaker 8 (05:06):
Yeah? Of course?

Speaker 3 (05:08):
Okay, great, Well we do the second on the show
called the First Day follow Up. That's where if you
ghost somebody, they can email us to call you and
ask why you're ghosting them. And we got an email
about you from Raven.

Speaker 7 (05:21):
Yeah, what happened?

Speaker 8 (05:23):
This? Is this is gonna be on the This is
on the radio.

Speaker 6 (05:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
She told us all about your date. She said that
it was probably the best date she's ever had, the
most chemistry she's ever had with anybody. But now you're
ghostinger and she doesn't know. Why would you mind telling us? Uh?

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (05:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (05:41):
I oh my god? Okay wow? Uh sure.

Speaker 9 (05:47):
So the morning after Raven left, I went back in
the bedroom and I noticed that my AirPods were gone.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Do you think she saw your AirPods?

Speaker 8 (05:55):
Well? I checked the night stand out there, checked my charger,
not there. I checked my bed, not there. They were
right there on my nightstand.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
When was the last there? Like, but when did you
see them last? It sounds like there were some activities
going on and it would be kind of hard to
focus on air pods in the moment. So when was
the last time you saw them? Right there?

Speaker 8 (06:17):
But I mean before I went to bed, like before
I would just sleep.

Speaker 7 (06:21):
Okay, hmmm, so you think she stole.

Speaker 8 (06:25):
I remember looking at them. I didn't use them.

Speaker 7 (06:27):
But so you think she stole your AirPods?

Speaker 8 (06:31):
Absolutely? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (06:33):
Huh Why would she steal your air pods?

Speaker 8 (06:37):
Maybe hers hers broke? She she she loved mine.

Speaker 9 (06:42):
I mean they are you know, they're in the newer models,
so maybe they were attracted to her.

Speaker 7 (06:48):
I don't I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Well that's pretty uh like, I don't see anyone like
sleeping with someone and then just stealing the air pods.

Speaker 5 (06:56):
And I mean, but it still is a mystery. If
his aeropods are missing, then what would have happened? I mean,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Could you have just lost them or misplaced them?

Speaker 7 (07:04):
Are they under the bed?

Speaker 8 (07:06):
I checked?

Speaker 9 (07:07):
I checked, literally, I even checked the bathroom, you know.
So yeah, I don't want to date somebody who steals
my stuff. That's why I didn't call her back.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
Okay, that's understandable. I wouldn't wan to date someody who
steals my stuff either. And Curtis Raven is on the
phone and wants to talk to you.

Speaker 8 (07:25):
Oh that's right, she's here. She's on the phone. Listen.
I'm not calling you back because you are a thief.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
No, I'm not a thief.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
I didn't steal your air pods. Those were my AirPods.
I took them out of my bag when we got
to your place, and I put them on the charger
so I would have them. Because one I didn't know
how the night was going to go, so they needed
to be full for if I was going home that
night and I need my AirPods to sleep.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
I need to listen to a.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
Podcast or music or something because I can't sleep.

Speaker 4 (08:03):
I need some white noise.

Speaker 8 (08:05):
Okay, that makes it worse, That's what I do.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Why is that worse?

Speaker 4 (08:11):
How does that make it worse?

Speaker 9 (08:13):
Okay, because now I'm picturing you coming over with backup
ear pods AirPods.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
So that she isn't still yours.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
Now back up. I just bring them everywhere. I just
have them.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
I just wanted to charge them again in case I
was going home that night, I don't know, wanted them
to have to listen to. But then also I slipt
over and I need to listen to things to sleep.
I can't just.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Sleep in a new place with no noise.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
I need a little bit of background something, So I
put on a podcast.

Speaker 9 (08:44):
Okay, you just said you listen to AirPods when you sleep.
You were in my bed. My AirPods disappear. I'm just
connecting the dots here.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Is it possible or even that you accidentally used his
AirPods instead of your own?

Speaker 4 (08:56):
No?

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Absolutely not like they're basically part of my sleep routine.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
Like I just I know my headphones, you know what
I mean? Like that, I didn't take your AirPods?

Speaker 8 (09:07):
Okay, so then what happened to mine?

Speaker 4 (09:10):
I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Well, I don't know where you put yours. I'm I took.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Air pods this the next morning, they were on the charger.

Speaker 8 (09:20):
And now they're gone. So that I mean, I.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Put mine on the charger and I took them. So
I took the AirPods.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
See what you put yours on his charger?

Speaker 5 (09:31):
Did you move his AirPods?

Speaker 6 (09:34):
I know there were no air pods, but I put
mine on his charger and then I took them.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
Were you guys drinking?

Speaker 9 (09:42):
I had a couple of beers, but enough to remember.
I mean, I would have remembered if she busted out
some AirPods and put them on the night stand. Yeah,
you're a thief, is what it is.

Speaker 8 (09:51):
You know. I respect that.

Speaker 9 (09:52):
I mean, I don't respect it. But that's that's just you.
You do you, And that's why I ghosted. That's why
I didn't call, because I'm I'm not going to be
dating a thief. First, it's their pods, and then it's
my wallet.

Speaker 8 (10:04):
What's next?

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Oh my god, Oh my god, I didn't take your AirPods?

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Dude? Why would I take yours if I have my own?

Speaker 8 (10:12):
Yes, you did, you took them. You're a thief.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Okay, fine, you say I'm a thief. There's no place
they could be other than your nightstand.

Speaker 8 (10:22):
No, there's not.

Speaker 9 (10:25):
Oh you know what what I I.

Speaker 8 (10:31):
Think I may have less them than my gym bag.
What are you?

Speaker 4 (10:38):
Are you serious? Right now?

Speaker 1 (10:40):
You didn't check your gym bag, you didn't check everywhere else.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
In your apartment.

Speaker 6 (10:45):
Before you start blaming me calling me a thief, I'm
looking through it right.

Speaker 7 (10:52):
Are they there?

Speaker 4 (10:55):
This is unbelievable.

Speaker 8 (11:03):
Yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, there they are. I Uh, I'm.

Speaker 7 (11:10):
Curtis. Would you like to go on another day with Raven?
We'll pay for.

Speaker 8 (11:13):
It, you know what if if she's up for it?

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Uh no, thank you? Uh you and your AirPods?

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Man.

Speaker 8 (11:26):
That's fair, Yes, that's warranted. But at least I found
my AirPods.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
