I know, let's talk a little bit about All Star activities.
What'd you end up doing?
Speaker 1 (00:42):
Kind of cool man. So the very first day of
All Star, me and my girl Asa, we actually flew
out to Saint George, Utah, and drove out an hour
to a nab and visited the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
That the largest no killed sanctuary in the entire US.
It sits on like forty thousand acres of land and
three thousand acres as they use. And you know, I
have my Caster Foundation, which we talked about our animal

advocacy group and it was cool.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I got to meet the owners, uh and the founders
of the of the Best Friends, and it just made
a really good connection. Man. We were out there with
the it's actually really cool. Man. They got like a
they got like a puppy world, a cat world. There's horses, donkeys,
pigs like and like they.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Just go out there like anybody can go visit.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, so the public. So they take donations and you
just go out there. They was like maybe fifteen dollars
just to get in. You can do whatever you want,
Like they have a whole like overnight you know, stay,
you can do at a hotel with an animal of
your choosing, you know what I mean. It's actually it's
pretty cool man. Like I said, it's kind of like
in like I get like an hour outside of Saint George, Utah,
and a beautiful senior out there. You know, it's the
high desert mountains like Red Rocks, and it was pretty sick.

So yeah, I spent a day out there. And then
after that, man, I was just on the couch chilling. Man.
We watched a lot of Love is Blind.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
You know, I'm not caught up, so don't tell me
what happened. I'm like, don't talk not talking about that
on this podcast.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Chris just noticed in Minutes of Society, So yeah, that's yeah, man.
So one thing that think it was pretty cool today
we saw the men's hockey team and the women as well.
They both won gold medals, you know, the Winter Olympics,
and I guess you know you have plenty of experience there.
I mean, just speak to that, man, I just what
does it mean? Just to what does it feel like?
(02:18):
The standard, the podium, you know what I mean, just
getting that gold medal here, the national anthem play, like
what what? What kind of feelings are going on?
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah, I mean definitely shout out to USA men's and
women's hockey to win the gold medal. The feelings that
you feel is just an immense amount of pride, and
you know, we saw it a little bit most recently
with the men because first gold medal in forty six years.
Like the dude that hit the game winning goal, he
(02:44):
got his teeth knocked out by the it was. But
I think the best part about it was, you know,
the pride that they carry, you know, representing your country,
hearing that national anthem happen, watching the flag race and
you have the the highest accomplishment in sports hanging around
your neck. So it was really cool to be a
part of. I will have to say, I'm not very

knowledgeable about hockey, so I think I'm going to try
and learn more about that because the sudden death rum,
I didn't know. I didn't know that. It's only it's
three on three. You know, it's a little bit crazy.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
You have you ever been to an HL game before?
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I went to the Islanders in New York, and I've
gone to the Crack in Seattle, so we've gone, like
I don't know, on TV, it looks really hard to
find the puck that's gonna come back to me, and
they're gonna be like, what the hell, But like, I
don't that thing goes so.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Fast, indeed, bro, and it's just the way there. I
can't skate to save my life. So I mean, I
can imagine, like, you know, just the kind of stability
they got in their core their hips to go out
there and do what they're doing. Man. But all in all,
I will say it's an electric like playoff environment. I've
been in a couple of Dallas Star games. I went
to a Nashville Predators game, and like, man, that environment
the playoffs is like unreal, like unlike the NBA, like

maybe out there fighting, man getting to it, you know
what I mean, And they're just like what the hell
was on too? Man? It's just a different type of
rumble for real. Yeah. Man, But as we alluded to, man,
we got a big episode today, y'all. Just we're gonna
start getting into the tanking problem in the NBA, you
know what I'm saying. Maybe we can learn a little

bit from the w Uh. Yeah, I don't know either.
You know, it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
We're also going to talk about unrivaled. The regular season
is ending soon and we're getting ready for the playoffs.
And what what did I learn in year two? I
think that what we learned in year two is more
teams and more players is definitely better for everybody. Just
just making sure that you know teams are able to play.
You either play Friday Sunday or Saturday Monday. Year one,

we had to have back to back like certain teams
would have back to back, and the game is kind
of so tiring and physical because you're never in help side,
you're never through the weak side. That playing and be
ready in the back to back. So we're just really
making sure that we're taking care of players' bodies as
a whole and and really being conscientious of that. But yeah,

we'll talk about playoff first and and everything else coming up.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Man. Just I'm excited to just hear about the just
exponential like growth potential that you got. Man. Yeah, you
know what it is. Man, We don't give a little
personal with it. We're go to Stewie's parent corner and
as well as due to Stewart word you, I'm gonna
give a littlessener to it. Y'all have to see what's up,
all right, well s, get right to it. Man, let's
talk about on rival. You know, congrats Chelsea Gray, which.

You picked her?

Yeah, you know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying.
I may listened to seven others, but you know I
listened to you know, Chelsea Gray. She was my my
pick to win the one B one Attorney And yeah,
man again I told her, like I said in the past,
she's one of my favorite players to watch. Man. She's
I saw I hit that little like double Kobe Hakeem
Shy the other day.

That was crazy and then yeah it.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Now she got once for real? Man, that was dope.
But yeah, man, the unrivaled regular season ends. Playoffs start
this weekend. You know, and I guess you kind of
already alluded to you know what you would like learned.
But just as the founder of the league, man, like,
how do you see your guys like just growth? You know,
coming from year one year two, it's been fun to watch,
but you know what what potentially you know we got
planned for the future.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Yeah, we got we got some big things planned for
the future. You can really tell you too much about
them right now, right right, but we will be the
first to record it on the podcast.

You know, for us, it's year one. We exceeded expectations,
and year two we are also exceeding expectations. We had
a sellout in Philly. We're going to go to Barclays
for the semis Like that's going to be another sellout
where twenty one twenty two thousand people are constantly being
able to watch us. And not only is an incredible
fan experience. Are we traveling more to reach other fans,

but but also I'm making sure that the players are here,
they're able to get all that they need to develop
and be better and get ready for what's coming up
after this season. And that's what I'm most proud of,
you know, as a as a founder, it's like there's
a business perspective of it as well, and making sure that,
you know, we continue to grow and add partnerships with
with the people that have the same alignment as us

and and the same view as us. And I don't know,
we just keep raising the bar. So it's gonna be
hard to keep beating ourselves. But you two were definitely
doing that. And and I'm really excited for the playoff push.
My miss team has to be at Barclays. Okay, we
are not. We don't have a top two pick top

we're not top two yet, so we need to get
it together. And if we don't, we're going to fight
the hard way and go through the quarters. But we
have to be in Barclays, all right.

so just for you personally, obviously being a little home
cooking there. Literally all right, we'll name a player that
you you know, I guess you saw the maybe Weather's
this year when us last year altogether, like, and they
have three on three setting, Like, that's better than you
thought they'd be.

Oh player in the three on three, that's better than
I thought they'd be. I mean, this is this question
is kind of setting me up to fail a little bit.
But I think somebody who's so fast and so shifty
and three on three that wasn't here last year is
Kelsey Mitchell. And you know her, but her change of pace,
her speed, her ability to shoot the three and really

attack the room and put pressure on the room. It
has been really fun to watch. It's not been fun
to guard when we have to play against her.

I literally feel like every time I watch her play,
I'm like, she's so fast, like so I can't say
anything else, but she's so fast. So it's it's been
cool to see her her kind of get her rhythm
here and know that you know, it's only going to
continue to get better for her.

I like Kelse Mitchell lot Man. She was in my
McDonald's All American, uh, you know, class twenty fourteen, and
just watch her assentsion from there to Ohio State to
the league, Like it's been It's been pretty fun. Man. Obviously,
got to watch a close personal in Indiana the past
couple of years. But she's still doing it. Man. Shout
out to Kelsey Mitchell. Yeah, I know this is this
May headlines as well. You know, we got the return
of the Bayou Barbie, you know there. Angel Reese made

her her debut on Friday. And then how did y'all,
you know, I guess, make that happen. What was the reaction?
Speaker 2 (09:10):
I think we were. We were really excited to have
Angel come back. I think that honestly, from like the
player perspective part of me, I was I was a
little bit surprised. I didn't think it was gonna happen.
We were definitely hoping to kind of get her back
next year, but to get her after the one on
one break. There's four games left, four regular season games left.
She's a big part of what the Rose do and

how they won a championship last year. And I know,
you know, k and Nola and Chelsea really wanted her
back on that team, and the fans loved it. You know, Friday,
she came out and and she did her thing. You know,
she got right to her spots. She was disruptive offensively
and defensively. The Rose did not get to win, but
I think that you know, they got their second game

coming up tomorrow, and I'm sure they're gonna be No,
I'm lying, they're they're they're all to play right now.
So we'll see what happens and if they can get
that first win with the Angel back.

Yeah, man, I think that she's obviously she she cares herself,
you know, how she carries herself, and I think if anything,
that just brings more and more eyes, you know, to
unrival herself. You know, obviously her play will speak for herself,
but just she has a big stature. You know, people
has a great following as well, and people obviously rock
with how she gets down. So if anythink it's great
for the league, in my opinion, you knows from outside

you're looking in.

Definitely, I mean shout out to Angel Young, a young
player who continues to to kind of handle and carry
herself with with Grayson, show up, shows up and does
the job. So we're happy that she start here and unrivaled. Uh.
Switching to you a little bit, if you had to
choose a three on three team, who are your who
are your two other teammates?
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Oh? Okay, obviously I space the floor, so I need
someone to get a little shift to get downhill. I
gotta go Kyrie for sure, Kyrie Irvan. I definitely have
him out there, just because he just usually nothing he
can't do about stuff. You can shoot, you can handle
the ball. You know his point guard at that point. God,
So I'll throw him out there and then you don't
need no big I'm already out there. He'd be unfair.

But I'm throwing Steph in there too. You got Steph
and Kyrie's onto space like that. I'm obviously holding things
down defensively, and Kyrie's getting his mixing money. Yeah, I'm
gonna go Kyrie and Steph and myself. You know that
he's a little three on three right there.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
I like that, And I mean, listen, that would be
an unstoppable trio for sure, if you had to do
all time, all time, greatest three on three.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
All time greatest there, like including myself or it's like
three yeah, like three.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
But I'm just saying like it doesn't have to be
like current players. It can be like MJ or whoever
you want. Who would you put three on three?
Speaker 1 (11:49):
Okay, okay, okay, I'm definitely going shock because he's the
most dominant player to ever like to ever play, and
there's nothing you can do, especially in three on three seven,
there's no help, just gonna kill whoever's in front of him.
So for sure I'm going Shack. And then he got
myself and then we need we need a guard and
we got two bigs. I guess shooting is important and

me Larry Bird Man. Shout to Larry Man. I'm not
sure if people know this or not, but Larry is
actually the person that drafted me. You know. He was
the president of the Pacers and he sought me out,
you know, and I think it's just it's really cool.

So a big shot of Larry Bird for one even
just give me an opportunity and believe it in me myself,

Well, of course, anytime I'd had a chance to you know,
win and Olympic gold medal, I throw myself out there
for sure. You know, I think it's obviously a different environment.

And sports like, yeah, very different.

Yeah, it's going on. I've seen I've seen the women's game,
you know, you know quite a bit, and I think
it's something that's obviously expanding and obviously growing. But you know,
if I had to throw my hat and then I
definitely would. I think it'd be cool. And it's just
just anything with you know, wearing USA across your chest
to being a real like the highest I played, I've
got to play in the Feeble World Cup in twenty nineteen,
you know, represented Team USA, and like that was again
just unreal honor. We were in, went to Australia, went

to China, and it's I'm sure you have experience with
as well. Like you know, it's funny how everyone just
roots for you to lose. You know what I'm saying.
You're literally just the enemy everywhere you go, right and
then a man, the environment was so insane, bro. I
just remember being like in this is like right before
COVID happened, so people were outside. Man, it was it
was just a dumbe bottom there in China. They love
basketball there in China, and it's just if I had

a chance to do it again, I definitely would take
would take take them up on.

I mean, I have to go with my team. I

of fun with them, just gelling, and it's an unselfish
group and we know it's a stake. Like listen on
the whiteboard in our locker room and the top left corner.
We have one hundred thousand dollars. They're written because that's

you win the championships and Max it's time too, five

I like our odds for sure.

let's get right into it. The NBA even acknowledged that
tanking is an issue. So let's be honest. Tanking is
a problem in the NBA, Yes or no.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
I think it's just a matter of perspective, honestly, you know,
I think that What's the one thing I could tell you,
just off rip, is that, you know, people say that
organizations are the ones that tank, not players, And I'll
tell you, from my perspective, no player is going out
there and intentionally trying to lose. Ever, you know, I
don't care what stage of the game that you're in.
That just doesn't happen amongst the four to fifty. I
(17:39):
can just go ahead and tell you that, off rip.
You know, the word tanking is a very taboo thing
in our league. You know what I mean, it's you know,
there's been some I'm not gonna say whom, not gonna
say which teams, but there's been some obvious, you know,
signs of it happening this season to the point where
the NBA had to step in and you know say something.
You know, I mean, Adam Silver came out, you know,
this past of All Star break and or All Star
(18:01):
a weekend and you know, had to address it. And
it's interesting because you know, for some organization it's worked,
you know what I mean. You have guys that have
been bottom feeders or lack of stocks in the league
and now they're you know, top team in this league.
And then it hasn't panned out very well for some
teams as well because they've been trying to tank for
five six plus years now. You know, there's no guarantee

that if you tank that you're going to get that
top pick that you're quote unquote tanking for. So to
some people it's a problem, you know, I think it
is an integrity of a game, you know type of thing.
There's times where you can stunt the development of your
younger players when you're quote unquote trying to tank. You
got veterans that will be on the team that are
wasting their prime years in the midst of a tanking
or losing season, if you will. So it'd be very

interesting to see, you know what the NBA does, you know,
next year trying to step in and I don't know,
kind of change the game because there's been a whole
bunch of different things to suggest like they said, maybe
there's like a tournament at the end of the year.
You know what I mean to say, who the must
of losing teams to see who woul get the top
pick as opposed to lottery balls, or.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Uh to like play for the topic instead of like
play not for the top you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (19:08):
No, absolutely, And I think that this a is done
an incredible job of like introducing like the nd season tournament,
right or like the playing tournament. Like it's gotten more
and more views, so you keep on kind of adding
iterations to our game or just wrinkles or whatnot. You know,
who knows what viewership and you know, sponsorhip money comes
in from stuff like that. You know. I also think
that it depends, like you know, we have a pretty
decent draft class, you know, coming up you know, this year,
(19:30):
and there's some prize picks and prize essessions that guys
are really trying to or I guess we can call
them assets, and I mean prize assets that these organizations
are trying to get their hands on. So to some
people it's worth you know, if the season's lost before
all start break, you know what I mean. I think
that's when teams are like, you know what, let's try
to press the big red panic button, you know what
I mean. Yeah, So again, have.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
You ever been a part of an organization like that?
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Well, haveing only been part of two organizations? So I
can either confirm or did not.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
This is just Peter setting me up. Okay, So.

What I will say is like kind of true, like
my first statement, like I have never as a player
intentionally gone out there and tried to lose, you know,
in hopes of getting a draftic next year. Like again,
it's just one of those things that are like taboo.
Players aren't going out there trying to lose, I like,
And so all the fans watching are listening right now,
Like I can tell y'all straight up, like that's just
an it's an integrity thing that like guys just don't
really stand for like in our league and whatnot. But
(20:25):
this is a business at the end of the day,
you know what I mean. There are the powers that be,
you know, there are some front offices that you know,
say hey, we've got to piss the big red panic button,
and you know, they feel like they have to do
what they have to do, you know, to say face
or the organizations. So I don't know, man, it's it's
it's it's a very tricky subject and I don't know, man,
(20:47):
it's just it's it gets very interesting when you start
thinking about the future because billions of dollars are at stake,
you know, at the end of the day. So yeah,
it's taking as much of an issue in WNBA, like
consider you can argue that it'd be more effective do
the less little teams in the league, you know, a
bigger stars coming out of the league.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, like I might get in trouble
for this answer, but I think it's like definitely happening
in the WA you know, because it's the tanking is
to get the highest draft pick. It's the two seasons combined.
So like if last season was bad and this season's
not going to be much better for you, Like you're
(21:25):
going to be fine if you don't win, because you're
trying to get a top pick coming out of the draft,
you know, And it really depends on what the draft is.
Sometimes there's generational players happening and sometimes there's not. And
when there is those, you want to make sure that
your team is going to be a part of that
so I think it happens. I mean I think that,
(21:48):
you know, the way you can see it in the NBA,
like why some people are sitting out, or why some
subs are happening, or why it's like not making as
much sense. You know, you have to go back and
watch that film to to really figure that out. But
people when there's an important draft pick coming in the
w they got a chance to get that, They're gonna
(22:10):
try and go get that, and.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
That makes sense, you know. I think that against It's
it's an organizational thing, you know, I think that again.
You know, I can either confirm or n but if
the Dallas Wings done got the damn number one pick
the past few years in a row. Now, I've been
to plenty of Wings games and I just see top
prospects every year, So I find that kind of intriguing.

But you know, yeah, they had the number one pick
last year, and they have the number one pick this
year again, so that that happens more more often than not.
Seattle had the number one pick two years in a row.
I think San Antonio Vegas had the number one pick
two years.

And we'll see what happens as more teams continue to
come into the WBA and how that'll really kind of

saw one the other night between Memphis and Miami.

Have you ever been in a fight in the NBA?
And why did they keep happening more and more often?
Speaker 1 (23:35):
For me? Person, Man, I've never really been in a
real fight. I've been in a tussle, a couple of
tussles here and there, you feel me, But uh not
no real fight, man. I think it's kind of funny
thing in the NBA, right, Like we all kind of
know that they're security right there, right, so like it's
gonna be about maybe four or five seconds of action.
I think it was like maybe five or six years ago,
me and Rudy Gobert got tangled up, right. I think

he like I was on the ground and I think
he uh, I can't I can't remember if he like
trip me or something, but if something like super obvious
and then I don't know, we were just kind of
going back and forth all game. That kind of came
up and just you know, just pushed them a little bit.
Then nothing really happened, like we just kind of just

happen regardless, and I think that it makes a game better.

I feel like in the NBA side, if you throw

saw with you know, Jalen Dura and Isaiah Stewart, Miles
Bridge and all stuff that happened a couple of weeks ago.
And also like if you just like any other sport,

like if you cross the line, you know as a
he's sitting on the bench, that's like an automatic suspension
as well.

Yeah, I saw that. I was gonna ask that because
I heard that the announcer saying, you leave the bench
into automatic suspension.

Like you're suspended, Well it depends, like if you cross
that line, it's one, but then if you Isaiah Stewart
kind of took it to another level because he actually,
you know, threw a punch and whatnot, and he got lucky, man,
because I really thought that he get a lot more
games because sometimes as the NBA tries to make an
example out of players or whatnot, but I can think
what the average fan doesn't realize is those are those
game checks matter, Like you're losing millions of dollars by

every time you miss a game and whatnot. So if
you miss, man, okay, let's say this just for number's sake,
you make ten million dollars a year or whatnot. If
you if you get suspended like ten games and there's
eighty two games in a year, that's literally what eight
to ten percent of like a game check right there.
Like that's a lot of money, you know, coming out
of your pockets and whatnot. So I think it's another
thing you know, players are conscientious of as well. You know,

some of your guys that are making you know, thirty
fifty millions dollars, they they might not care as much,
but yeah, man, like fighting in the league is just funny, man,
because you know it's only gonna last four or five seconds,
you know what I mean, It's gonna be a viral
clip on the internet cause everyone wants to blow it up.
But sit doesn't really happen on the floor. If anything,
it might happen like in the tunnel or you know,
outside of the game itself, and that's kind of what

The craziest environment I ever played in. I don't know

one that I can I keep thinking about because we
touched on Olympics at the beginning of the pod was
the twenty twenty four Olympics where we were playing France
in France for the gold medal game, and it was
like everyone was cheering against you. Like you said before,
it's like you play US, You're you're representing USA, and

nobody's sharing for you. Everybody's like cheering against you. And
it literally came down to the wire. Listen, Gobby shot
along too. We were up three. Every shot a long too.
We won the game by one point. I'll never hit it,
but yeah, like that's like the highest of the high,
the pressures all time. You're playing in the most hostile

environment possible for a gold medal, and I'm happy that
we barely came out alive.

Yeah. I know a lot of foreigners will speak to that,
like they grew up like it is their main goal
to beat the US, you know what I mean, Like
they had that, like you know, written on their walls,
or it's like you know, they they grew up and
watched their teams almost do it, or like it's like
every foreigners goal like to beat the Usa. You know,
it's very intriguing.

Yeah, they definitely want to get us. All right, now,
we're going to go off the court and then we're
gonna go into my parent corner. And the advice that
I have for this week is it is now blizzarding
in New York again. I thought that the snow would
be over and it's coming back. I'm not sure if
it's snowing where you are, but it's snowing in New York,
and you have to make sure you always have snowpints.

We didn't have snowpints. We didn't have snow wen't have
We only had gloves and jackets, and Marto was on
like a mad hunt to find snowpants so the kids
could go outside and play in the snow with snowboots
like Tim's work sometimes. But they're not really snow boots.
So be ready. The winter is not over and it's
still coming. So if you need some snowpants or snow boots,

I guess that's definitely a You know, we don't have
to worry about that down south too much. You know,
I may beeing in Texas, but you know, my girl
is from Maine and she definitely enjoys being in New England,
so we definitely have to you know, might spend some
time out there in the future. So yeah, right, cool, Yeah,
Well mine is the complete opposite. Mine's a little more lighthearted,
a little more fun. I'm not sure what you know,

what you and Martin do with just like y'all spare
times out when you don't have the kids or you
just had you know, mingled and have fun and whatnot.
But one of me and Age of one of our
favorite things to do is play couch co op games.
You ever, you know what you're familiar with that you
know what I'm talking about, all right, So you know,
I think we all grew up with a game syst
and whatnotright, get PlayStation, Xbox, PC, switch or whatever it
may be. It's something that's picking up a lot more steam.

Was popular when we were kids, but it's really big now.
It's something called, you know, just couch co op, so
exactly what it sounds like. We literally send the couch
and we play games together. And it's not like your
typical call of duty like video game. These are strategic
games where you have to work together to get a
common goal. So some of our favorite games are ones
called split fiction. Uh, there's one call It Takes Two
(30:28):
and one called Unraveled to Now, the reason we like
these games so much is because it would definitely test
your relationship because when you're sitting there. I grew up
playing video games, right, and A she's pretty good at
video games, but like you literally have to work as
a team, like to accomplish something or to get like
past a get past the level and whatnot. Right, there's
(30:48):
another one called Overcooked too. That's one of our favorite
ones to play. Like you look these up when you're done, Like,
when we're done, it's done.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Can I play with them on any console? Or like
how do what do I need?
Speaker 1 (30:57):
So? I mean typically what we'll do is like we'll
just have like we got our PlayStation and we just
got two controllers and we're literally sitting on the couch
playing together. But no, there is like online co op
and our local co op and all that type of stuff.
A couch co op is like the way to do it.
Trust me. Overcooked is one of our favorites because like
you have to basically say, like we have to bake
like a I don't know, like an apple pie or
(31:17):
something like that. You have to like get all the
ingredients you have to have, like the flour, the eggs,
the milk, the sugar, whatever, the apples, but you have
to cut up all the apples. You have to like
you know, mix the flour on type of stuff. But
like the level itself is doing some like crazy shit
the entire time, like sometimes like the Matt flips sometimes
all like you have to go like chase the order.
Sometimes people like pushing you out the way, Like again,
(31:39):
you have to have to go, like work together, have
a common goal overcook too is like one of our
favorites for sure, and I guarantee you'll have fun with
that one. But one of the best ones, like I said,
what kind of what I lose for it is called
split fiction. Split fiction is a lot of fun because
it's basically, like you have this there's these two girls
that are coming together, like and they're trying to pitch
like their their idea is for like a video game
(32:01):
like company or something like that. Right, one girl does
like a sci fi fantasy world and whatnot, and another one
does like like like kind of like a what I
describe it like kind of a fairy tale like type
of land or whatnot, right, and they both basically you go,
you kind of flipped off in both worlds and whatnot,
and you have like different powers and all that type
of stuff like each and every level, you know what
(32:21):
I mean. And again like you have to like kind
of work together, like to get a common goal, like
to win, you know what I mean. One person could
be really good at video games, the other persons just okay,
if y'all aren't on the same level, or y'all don't
like work together, like you'll never like beat the game itself.
So I don't know, man, Like.

It's just check back in about that. I'm gonna check

Yeah, for sure. Start with Overcook too. I probably start
with Overcook now. That one's like one of the more
phone was to get into cause it's lighthearted. But then

I know, let's talk a little bit about All Star activities.
What'd you end up doing?

Kind of cool man. So the very first day of
All Star, me and my girl Asa, we actually flew
out to Saint George, Utah, and drove out an hour
to a nab and visited the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
That the largest no killed sanctuary in the entire US.
It sits on like forty thousand acres of land and
three thousand acres as they use. And you know, I
have my Caster Foundation, which we talked about our animal
(01:03):
advocacy group and it was cool.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Man.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
I got to meet the owners, uh and the founders
of the of the Best Friends, and it just made
a really good connection. Man. We were out there with
the it's actually really cool. Man. They got like a
they got like a puppy world, a cat world. There's horses, donkeys,
pigs like and like they.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Just go out there like anybody can go visit.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, so the public. So they take donations and you
just go out there. They was like maybe fifteen dollars
just to get in. You can do whatever you want,
Like they have a whole like overnight you know, stay,
you can do at a hotel with an animal of
your choosing, you know what I mean. It's actually it's
pretty cool man. Like I said, it's kind of like
in like I get like an hour outside of Saint George, Utah,
and a beautiful senior out there. You know, it's the
high desert mountains like Red Rocks, and it was pretty sick.

So yeah, I spent a day out there. And then
after that, man, I was just on the couch chilling. Man.
We watched a lot of Love is Blind.

You know, I'm not caught up, so don't tell me
what happened. I'm like, don't talk not talking about that
on this podcast.

Chris just noticed in Minutes of Society, So yeah, that's yeah, man.
So one thing that think it was pretty cool today
we saw the men's hockey team and the women as well.
They both won gold medals, you know, the Winter Olympics,
and I guess you know you have plenty of experience there.
I mean, just speak to that, man, I just what
does it mean? Just to what does it feel like?
(02:18):
The standard, the podium, you know what I mean, just
getting that gold medal here, the national anthem play, like
what what? What kind of feelings are going on?
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah, I mean definitely shout out to USA men's and
women's hockey to win the gold medal. The feelings that
you feel is just an immense amount of pride, and
you know, we saw it a little bit most recently
with the men because first gold medal in forty six years.
Like the dude that hit the game winning goal, he
(02:44):
got his teeth knocked out by the it was. But
I think the best part about it was, you know,
the pride that they carry, you know, representing your country,
hearing that national anthem happen, watching the flag race and
you have the the highest accomplishment in sports hanging around
your neck. So it was really cool to be a
part of. I will have to say, I'm not very
(03:07):
knowledgeable about hockey, so I think I'm going to try
and learn more about that because the sudden death rum,
I didn't know. I didn't know that. It's only it's
three on three. You know, it's a little bit crazy.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
You have you ever been to an HL game before?
Speaker 2 (03:23):
I went to the Islanders in New York, and I've
gone to the Crack in Seattle, so we've gone, like
I don't know, on TV, it looks really hard to
find the puck that's gonna come back to me, and
they're gonna be like, what the hell, But like, I
don't that thing goes so.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Fast, indeed, bro, and it's just the way there. I
can't skate to save my life. So I mean, I
can imagine, like, you know, just the kind of stability
they got in their core their hips to go out
there and do what they're doing. Man. But all in all,
I will say it's an electric like playoff environment. I've
been in a couple of Dallas Star games. I went
to a Nashville Predators game, and like, man, that environment
the playoffs is like unreal, like unlike the NBA, like

maybe out there fighting, man getting to it, you know
what I mean, And they're just like what the hell
was on too? Man? It's just a different type of
rumble for real. Yeah. Man, But as we alluded to, man,
we got a big episode today, y'all. Just we're gonna
start getting into the tanking problem in the NBA, you
know what I'm saying. Maybe we can learn a little

bit from the w Uh. Yeah, I don't know either.
You know, it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
We're also going to talk about unrivaled. The regular season
is ending soon and we're getting ready for the playoffs.
And what what did I learn in year two? I
think that what we learned in year two is more
teams and more players is definitely better for everybody. Just
just making sure that you know teams are able to play.
You either play Friday Sunday or Saturday Monday. Year one,
(04:50):
we had to have back to back like certain teams
would have back to back, and the game is kind
of so tiring and physical because you're never in help side,
you're never through the weak side. That playing and be
ready in the back to back. So we're just really
making sure that we're taking care of players' bodies as
a whole and and really being conscientious of that. But yeah,

we'll talk about playoff first and and everything else coming up.

Man. Just I'm excited to just hear about the just
exponential like growth potential that you got. Man. Yeah, you
know what it is. Man, We don't give a little
personal with it. We're go to Stewie's parent corner and
as well as due to Stewart word you, I'm gonna

all right, well s, get right to it. Man, let's
talk about on rival. You know, congrats Chelsea Gray, which.

But yeah, man, the unrivaled regular season ends. Playoffs start
this weekend. You know, and I guess you kind of
already alluded to you know what you would like learned.
But just as the founder of the league, man, like,
how do you see your guys like just growth? You know,
coming from year one year two, it's been fun to watch,
but you know what what potentially you know we got
planned for the future.

Yeah, we got we got some big things planned for
the future. You can really tell you too much about
them right now, right right, but we will be the
first to record it on the podcast.

You know, for us, it's year one. We exceeded expectations,
and year two we are also exceeding expectations. We had
a sellout in Philly. We're going to go to Barclays
for the semis Like that's going to be another sellout
where twenty one twenty two thousand people are constantly being
able to watch us. And not only is an incredible
fan experience. Are we traveling more to reach other fans,

but but also I'm making sure that the players are here,
they're able to get all that they need to develop
and be better and get ready for what's coming up
after this season. And that's what I'm most proud of,
you know, as a as a founder, it's like there's
a business perspective of it as well, and making sure that,
you know, we continue to grow and add partnerships with
with the people that have the same alignment as us

and and the same view as us. And I don't know,
we just keep raising the bar. So it's gonna be
hard to keep beating ourselves. But you two were definitely
doing that. And and I'm really excited for the playoff push.

we're not top two yet, so we need to get
it together. And if we don't, we're going to fight
the hard way and go through the quarters. But we
have to be in Barclays, all right.

so just for you personally, obviously being a little home
cooking there. Literally all right, we'll name a player that
you you know, I guess you saw the maybe Weather's
this year when us last year altogether, like, and they
have three on three setting, Like, that's better than you

Oh player in the three on three, that's better than
I thought they'd be. I mean, this is this question
is kind of setting me up to fail a little bit.
But I think somebody who's so fast and so shifty
and three on three that wasn't here last year is
Kelsey Mitchell. And you know her, but her change of pace,
her speed, her ability to shoot the three and really

attack the room and put pressure on the room. It
has been really fun to watch. It's not been fun
to guard when we have to play against her.

I literally feel like every time I watch her play,
I'm like, she's so fast, like so I can't say
anything else, but she's so fast. So it's it's been
cool to see her her kind of get her rhythm
here and know that you know, it's only going to
continue to get better for her.

I like Kelse Mitchell lot Man. She was in my
McDonald's All American, uh, you know, class twenty fourteen, and
just watch her assentsion from there to Ohio State to
the league, Like it's been It's been pretty fun. Man. Obviously,
got to watch a close personal in Indiana the past
couple of years. But she's still doing it. Man. Shout
out to Kelsey Mitchell. Yeah, I know this is this
May headlines as well. You know, we got the return
of the Bayou Barbie, you know there. Angel Reese made

her her debut on Friday. And then how did y'all,
you know, I guess, make that happen. What was the reaction?

I think we were. We were really excited to have
Angel come back. I think that honestly, from like the
player perspective part of me, I was I was a
little bit surprised. I didn't think it was gonna happen.
We were definitely hoping to kind of get her back
next year, but to get her after the one on
one break. There's four games left, four regular season games left.
She's a big part of what the Rose do and

how they won a championship last year. And I know,
you know, k and Nola and Chelsea really wanted her
back on that team, and the fans loved it. You know, Friday,
she came out and and she did her thing. You know,
she got right to her spots. She was disruptive offensively
and defensively. The Rose did not get to win, but
I think that you know, they got their second game

coming up tomorrow, and I'm sure they're gonna be No,
I'm lying, they're they're they're all to play right now.
So we'll see what happens and if they can get
that first win with the Angel back.

Yeah, man, I think that she's obviously she she cares herself,
you know, how she carries herself, and I think if anything,
that just brings more and more eyes, you know, to
unrival herself. You know, obviously her play will speak for herself,
but just she has a big stature. You know, people

with how she gets down. So if anythink it's great

player who continues to to kind of handle and carry

choose a three on three team, who are your who
are your two other teammates?

Oh? Okay, obviously I space the floor, so I need
someone to get a little shift to get downhill. I
gotta go Kyrie for sure, Kyrie Irvan. I definitely have
him out there, just because he just usually nothing he
can't do about stuff. You can shoot, you can handle
the ball. You know his point guard at that point. God,
So I'll throw him out there and then you don't
need no big I'm already out there. He'd be unfair.

But I'm throwing Steph in there too. You got Steph
and Kyrie's onto space like that. I'm obviously holding things
down defensively, and Kyrie's getting his mixing money. Yeah, I'm

I like that, And I mean, listen, that would be
an unstoppable trio for sure, if you had to do

like current players. It can be like MJ or whoever

there's no help, just gonna kill whoever's in front of him.
So for sure I'm going Shack. And then he got
myself and then we need we need a guard and
we got two bigs. I guess shooting is important and

sure if people know this or not, but Larry is

to being a real like the highest I played, I've
got to play in the Feeble World Cup in twenty nineteen,
you know, represented Team USA, and like that was again
just unreal honor. We were in, went to Australia, went

to China, and it's I'm sure you have experience with
as well. Like you know, it's funny how everyone just
roots for you to lose. You know what I'm saying.

then a man, the environment was so insane, bro. I
just remember being like in this is like right before
COVID happened, so people were outside. Man, it was it
was just a dumbe bottom there in China. They love
basketball there in China, and it's just if I had

know we got we still got some games to finalize
our seating and our spot. But I've had a lot
of fun with them, just gelling, and it's an unselfish
group and we know it's a stake. Like listen on
the whiteboard in our locker room and the top left corner.

Jackie's doing her usual like hard to guard two way player.
And then okay, on my team, it's leash, leash, I

of it, just like us turning. So I don't know.

I think the MVP is a tough one to really decide.
But if you're gonna go, like best team, you probably

Welcome back. To game recognized game with Stillion Miles, and
let's get right into it. The NBA even acknowledged that
tanking is an issue. So let's be honest. Tanking is
a problem in the NBA, Yes or no.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
I think it's just a matter of perspective, honestly, you know,
I think that What's the one thing I could tell you,
just off rip, is that, you know, people say that
organizations are the ones that tank, not players, And I'll
tell you, from my perspective, no player is going out
there and intentionally trying to lose. Ever, you know, I
don't care what stage of the game that you're in.
That just doesn't happen amongst the four to fifty. I
(17:39):
can just go ahead and tell you that, off rip.
You know, the word tanking is a very taboo thing
in our league. You know what I mean, it's you know,
there's been some I'm not gonna say whom, not gonna
say which teams, but there's been some obvious, you know,
signs of it happening this season to the point where
the NBA had to step in and you know say something.
You know, I mean, Adam Silver came out, you know,
this past of All Star break and or All Star
(18:01):
a weekend and you know, had to address it. And
it's interesting because you know, for some organization it's worked,
you know what I mean. You have guys that have
been bottom feeders or lack of stocks in the league
and now they're you know, top team in this league.
And then it hasn't panned out very well for some
teams as well because they've been trying to tank for
five six plus years now. You know, there's no guarantee
(18:22):
that if you tank that you're going to get that
top pick that you're quote unquote tanking for. So to
some people it's a problem, you know, I think it
is an integrity of a game, you know type of thing.
There's times where you can stunt the development of your
younger players when you're quote unquote trying to tank. You
got veterans that will be on the team that are
wasting their prime years in the midst of a tanking
or losing season, if you will. So it'd be very
(18:45):
interesting to see, you know what the NBA does, you know,
next year trying to step in and I don't know,
kind of change the game because there's been a whole
bunch of different things to suggest like they said, maybe
there's like a tournament at the end of the year.
You know what I mean to say, who the must
of losing teams to see who woul get the top
pick as opposed to lottery balls, or.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Uh to like play for the topic instead of like
play not for the top you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (19:08):
No, absolutely, And I think that this a is done
an incredible job of like introducing like the nd season tournament,
right or like the playing tournament. Like it's gotten more
and more views, so you keep on kind of adding
iterations to our game or just wrinkles or whatnot. You know,
who knows what viewership and you know, sponsorhip money comes
in from stuff like that. You know. I also think
that it depends, like you know, we have a pretty
decent draft class, you know, coming up you know, this year,
(19:30):
and there's some prize picks and prize essessions that guys
are really trying to or I guess we can call
them assets, and I mean prize assets that these organizations
are trying to get their hands on. So to some
people it's worth you know, if the season's lost before
all start break, you know what I mean. I think
that's when teams are like, you know what, let's try
to press the big red panic button, you know what
I mean. Yeah, So again, have.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
You ever been a part of an organization like that?
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Well, haveing only been part of two organizations? So I
can either confirm or did not.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
This is just Peter setting me up. Okay, So.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
What I will say is like kind of true, like
my first statement, like I have never as a player
intentionally gone out there and tried to lose, you know,
in hopes of getting a draftic next year. Like again,
it's just one of those things that are like taboo.
Players aren't going out there trying to lose, I like,
And so all the fans watching are listening right now,
Like I can tell y'all straight up, like that's just
an it's an integrity thing that like guys just don't
really stand for like in our league and whatnot. But
(20:25):
this is a business at the end of the day,
you know what I mean. There are the powers that be,
you know, there are some front offices that you know,
say hey, we've got to piss the big red panic button,
and you know, they feel like they have to do
what they have to do, you know, to say face
or the organizations. So I don't know, man, it's it's
it's it's a very tricky subject and I don't know, man,
(20:47):
it's just it's it gets very interesting when you start
thinking about the future because billions of dollars are at stake,
you know, at the end of the day. So yeah,
it's taking as much of an issue in WNBA, like
consider you can argue that it'd be more effective do
the less little teams in the league, you know, a
bigger stars coming out of the league.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, I mean, honestly, like I might get in trouble
for this answer, but I think it's like definitely happening
in the WA you know, because it's the tanking is
to get the highest draft pick. It's the two seasons combined.
So like if last season was bad and this season's
not going to be much better for you, Like you're
(21:25):
going to be fine if you don't win, because you're
trying to get a top pick coming out of the draft,
you know, And it really depends on what the draft is.
Sometimes there's generational players happening and sometimes there's not. And
when there is those, you want to make sure that
your team is going to be a part of that
so I think it happens. I mean I think that,
(21:48):
you know, the way you can see it in the NBA,
like why some people are sitting out, or why some
subs are happening, or why it's like not making as
much sense. You know, you have to go back and
watch that film to to really figure that out. But
people when there's an important draft pick coming in the
w they got a chance to get that, They're gonna
(22:10):
try and go get that, and.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
That makes sense, you know. I think that against It's
it's an organizational thing, you know, I think that again.
You know, I can either confirm or n but if
the Dallas Wings done got the damn number one pick
the past few years in a row. Now, I've been
to plenty of Wings games and I just see top
prospects every year, So I find that kind of intriguing.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
But you know, yeah, they had the number one pick
last year, and they have the number one pick this
year again, so that that happens more more often than not.
Seattle had the number one pick two years in a row.
I think San Antonio Vegas had the number one pick
two years.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
In a row.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
And we'll see what happens as more teams continue to
come into the WBA and how that'll really kind of
work and finesse itself out. Time for one more break.

Before we get off the court, we have a few
questions that I need answers to NBA fights. We just
saw one the other night between Memphis and Miami.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
Oh yeah, Miles.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
Have you ever been in a fight in the NBA?
And why did they keep happening more and more often?
Speaker 1 (23:35):
For me? Person, Man, I've never really been in a
real fight. I've been in a tussle, a couple of
tussles here and there, you feel me, But uh not
no real fight, man. I think it's kind of funny
thing in the NBA, right, Like we all kind of
know that they're security right there, right, so like it's
gonna be about maybe four or five seconds of action.
I think it was like maybe five or six years ago,
me and Rudy Gobert got tangled up, right. I think
(23:55):
he like I was on the ground and I think
he uh, I can't I can't remember if he like
trip me or something, but if something like super obvious
and then I don't know, we were just kind of
going back and forth all game. That kind of came
up and just you know, just pushed them a little bit.
Then nothing really happened, like we just kind of just
like locked up and whatnot. There was a bunch of
memes going on about it too. It's funny. It was
like like it was It wasn't anything crazy, but yeah,
we kind of locked up for a second. But like
(24:17):
you know, to my point, five seconds later, you know,
teammates are coming trying to bring it up. Security runs
on the floor, refs, you know, whoever. So there isn't
really like a fighting issue in the league. It's just tensions.
Its rise at times, you know. You know, everybody talks shit.
That's part of the game. You know, that's just gonna
happen regardless, and I think that it makes a game better.
But sometimes lines get crossed, you know, people you know,
(24:38):
get a little personal. Oh yes, no way, Peter, let
me see this. See what I'm saying. It was just
a little touss Yeah, crazy guys, but.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Like locked up like you were in wrestling, you know,
hold on to me for a little bit.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Hold on, I haven't seen this in years. What really happened?
That was the meme right there. I remember that. Oh yeah,
Jenny was like one of the first times to come
out there. Yeah, he like grabbed That's all the ways
he like grabbed me down there was. I liked it
hold your ground exactly. Well, I thought he was about to,
you know, come in and swing or somebody just locked up.
(25:14):
Nothing really happened. Yeah, Well, anyways, like I said, it's
never I've never really been no real like actual like
you know, fist thrown type of fights. But I've seen
you know, quite a few, you know what I mean.
I feel like in the NBA side, if you throw
a punch, like you're automatic suspended, like as you probably
saw with you know, Jalen Dura and Isaiah Stewart, Miles
Bridge and all stuff that happened a couple of weeks ago.
And also like if you just like any other sport,
(25:36):
like if you cross the line, you know as a
he's sitting on the bench, that's like an automatic suspension
as well.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yeah, I saw that. I was gonna ask that because
I heard that the announcer saying, you leave the bench
into automatic suspension.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Just one game?
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Like you're suspended, Well it depends, like if you cross
that line, it's one, but then if you Isaiah Stewart
kind of took it to another level because he actually,
you know, threw a punch and whatnot, and he got lucky, man,
because I really thought that he get a lot more
games because sometimes as the NBA tries to make an
example out of players or whatnot, but I can think
what the average fan doesn't realize is those are those
game checks matter, Like you're losing millions of dollars by
(26:10):
every time you miss a game and whatnot. So if
you miss, man, okay, let's say this just for number's sake,
you make ten million dollars a year or whatnot. If
you if you get suspended like ten games and there's
eighty two games in a year, that's literally what eight
to ten percent of like a game check right there.
Like that's a lot of money, you know, coming out
of your pockets and whatnot. So I think it's another
thing you know, players are conscientious of as well. You know,
(26:31):
some of your guys that are making you know, thirty
fifty millions dollars, they they might not care as much,
but yeah, man, like fighting in the league is just funny, man,
because you know it's only gonna last four or five seconds,
you know what I mean, It's gonna be a viral
clip on the internet cause everyone wants to blow it up.
But sit doesn't really happen on the floor. If anything,
it might happen like in the tunnel or you know,
outside of the game itself, and that's kind of what
(26:52):
things a ge a little more serious.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
So, yeah, doesn't really happen as much in the WNBA,
that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Y'all definitely be barking a little bit. I will say that, well.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
Yeah, it's like some shit talking, but we don't get
to that, like.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
Y'all get personal, bro. I just know if from first
hand experience women women' shit talks a little different, y'all
get y'all get ober like uber personal.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
Yeah, sometimes we can't let it go. That's fine.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Like hair grabbing, hair pulling and shit, it's different. Yeah,
So we say, like not as much fighting in the
w but like, what's someone like the or I guess,
what is the craziest environment You've played in.
Speaker 2 (27:27):
The craziest environment I ever played in. I don't know
if this is the craziest but this is like the
one that I can I keep thinking about because we
touched on Olympics at the beginning of the pod was
the twenty twenty four Olympics where we were playing France
in France for the gold medal game, and it was
like everyone was cheering against you. Like you said before,
it's like you play US, You're you're representing USA, and
(27:48):
nobody's sharing for you. Everybody's like cheering against you. And
it literally came down to the wire. Listen, Gobby shot
along too. We were up three. Every shot a long too.
We won the game by one point. I'll never hit it,
but yeah, like that's like the highest of the high,
the pressures all time. You're playing in the most hostile
(28:10):
environment possible for a gold medal, and I'm happy that
we barely came out alive.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Yeah. I know a lot of foreigners will speak to that,
like they grew up like it is their main goal
to beat the US, you know what I mean, Like
they had that, like you know, written on their walls,
or it's like you know, they they grew up and
watched their teams almost do it, or like it's like
every foreigners goal like to beat the Usa. You know,
it's very intriguing.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah, they definitely want to get us. All right, now,
we're going to go off the court and then we're
gonna go into my parent corner. And the advice that
I have for this week is it is now blizzarding
in New York again. I thought that the snow would
be over and it's coming back. I'm not sure if
it's snowing where you are, but it's snowing in New York,
and you have to make sure you always have snowpints.
(28:57):
We didn't have snowpints. We didn't have snow wen't have
We only had gloves and jackets, and Marto was on
like a mad hunt to find snowpants so the kids
could go outside and play in the snow with snowboots
like Tim's work sometimes. But they're not really snow boots.
So be ready. The winter is not over and it's
still coming. So if you need some snowpants or snow boots,
(29:20):
please go get them fair enough.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
I guess that's definitely a You know, we don't have
to worry about that down south too much. You know,
I may beeing in Texas, but you know, my girl
is from Maine and she definitely enjoys being in New England,
so we definitely have to you know, might spend some
time out there in the future. So yeah, right, cool, Yeah,
Well mine is the complete opposite. Mine's a little more lighthearted,
a little more fun. I'm not sure what you know,
(29:45):
what you and Martin do with just like y'all spare
times out when you don't have the kids or you
just had you know, mingled and have fun and whatnot.
But one of me and Age of one of our
favorite things to do is play couch co op games.
You ever, you know what you're familiar with that you
know what I'm talking about, all right, So you know,
I think we all grew up with a game syst
and whatnotright, get PlayStation, Xbox, PC, switch or whatever it
may be. It's something that's picking up a lot more steam.
(30:06):
Was popular when we were kids, but it's really big now.
It's something called, you know, just couch co op, so
exactly what it sounds like. We literally send the couch
and we play games together. And it's not like your
typical call of duty like video game. These are strategic
games where you have to work together to get a
common goal. So some of our favorite games are ones
called split fiction. Uh, there's one call It Takes Two
(30:28):
and one called Unraveled to Now, the reason we like
these games so much is because it would definitely test
your relationship because when you're sitting there. I grew up
playing video games, right, and A she's pretty good at
video games, but like you literally have to work as
a team, like to accomplish something or to get like
past a get past the level and whatnot. Right, there's
(30:48):
another one called Overcooked too. That's one of our favorite
ones to play. Like you look these up when you're done, Like,
when we're done, it's done.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
Can I play with them on any console? Or like
how do what do I need?
Speaker 1 (30:57):
So? I mean typically what we'll do is like we'll
just have like we got our PlayStation and we just
got two controllers and we're literally sitting on the couch
playing together. But no, there is like online co op
and our local co op and all that type of stuff.
A couch co op is like the way to do it.
Trust me. Overcooked is one of our favorites because like
you have to basically say, like we have to bake
like a I don't know, like an apple pie or
(31:17):
something like that. You have to like get all the
ingredients you have to have, like the flour, the eggs,
the milk, the sugar, whatever, the apples, but you have
to cut up all the apples. You have to like
you know, mix the flour on type of stuff. But
like the level itself is doing some like crazy shit
the entire time, like sometimes like the Matt flips sometimes
all like you have to go like chase the order.
Sometimes people like pushing you out the way, Like again,
(31:39):
you have to have to go, like work together, have
a common goal overcook too is like one of our
favorites for sure, and I guarantee you'll have fun with
that one. But one of the best ones, like I said,
what kind of what I lose for it is called
split fiction. Split fiction is a lot of fun because
it's basically, like you have this there's these two girls
that are coming together, like and they're trying to pitch
like their their idea is for like a video game
(32:01):
like company or something like that. Right, one girl does
like a sci fi fantasy world and whatnot, and another one
does like like like kind of like a what I
describe it like kind of a fairy tale like type
of land or whatnot, right, and they both basically you go,
you kind of flipped off in both worlds and whatnot,
and you have like different powers and all that type
of stuff like each and every level, you know what
(32:21):
I mean. And again like you have to like kind
of work together, like to get a common goal, like
to win, you know what I mean. One person could
be really good at video games, the other persons just okay,
if y'all aren't on the same level, or y'all don't
like work together, like you'll never like beat the game itself.
So I don't know, man, Like.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
It's just check back in about that. I'm gonna check
back in about the couch co op.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Yeah, for sure. Start with Overcook too. I probably start
with Overcook now. That one's like one of the more
phone was to get into cause it's lighthearted. But then
it like just comes out of nowhere. It turns up
like you have to have communication. Like it's just it's funny,
and I think it's like a relationship builder if anything.
