Speaker 1 (00:14):
Hello, and welcome to Asta A podcast. I'm Alissa Ortiz.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
I'm coming to Ramon and today is gonna be a
fun episode because mine and I have a lot of
catching up to do. I feel like I haven't talked
to you in years, even though I call you often,
but we haven't actually caught up because every single time
that you've called me, I've been either in Mexico or
like traveling for work and you all of a sudden
I called you and you were like, I'm in the
middle of moving and I was like, oh shit, I forgot.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yeah, thanks rich there you are probably taking shots at
tequila in Mexico. Had an amazing, beautiful wedding, which, by
the way, you have to share all the deats, and
there I was packing up our life moving to another apartment,
which is always so much fun.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
I do want to say that I only took like
two shots no way, the five days that I was there.
One of them was poured into my mouth by the groom,
and the other one the bride was like, if you
don't take this half shot, we're not friends. And I
was like, okay, that's actually.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
That's a that's a pure pressure taxic. I respect she knows.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I wanted to say yeah, though, like if I really
needed to say no, she.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Would have respected that She's not toxic.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Oh my gosh, So wait, give us the details on
the wedding because we saw the post on Instagram. The
videos look gorgeous. Can tell us more? Who got married?
Tell us the whole shweel.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
So work bestie Katie? Uh love her on instructor.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Yeah, she's an icon and she got married to the
love of her life, Fiaty. And I was so honored
to be invited to their wedding and I had been
looking forward to it for a long time. If you
know me, you know that Mexico always fucked me up,
Like this is actually I was terrified to go to
Mexico because every time I go, I get illa, I
come back and have food poisoning. I can't teach two weeks,
(02:00):
like I'm on my deathbed. Last time was really not cute,
Like I don't know, I don't even know what medication
had to.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Take, but I was like looking us please, because I
literally thought I was gonna die anyway.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
That didn't happen this time, although there were like four
spiders in our room in the cricket and we were
sleeping with like a lizard that was making noisy the
entire night, but I said, we are one with nature.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Until it was three in the morning and I woke up.
I looked to my right.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
There was like gigantic cricket right next to the bed,
and I try to wake up Luciano. He's like, are
you serious. Crickets don't do anything. Yeah, I'm like yeah,
until they crawl into your mouth while you're sleeping with
your mouth wide open like I do.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Ow ew ew ew disgusting.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
So he took the cricket outside.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
But yeah, it was incredible.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
It was.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
It was so beautiful.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
They are two of the most beautiful humans that I
know inside and out, and their families are a beautiful
reflection of that. And I was like, wow, it's very
nice that you know their families and just get together
and get along and like there's no drama, Like everyone's
just so nice and so kind.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Yeah. I know there's people sighing on the other side.
That does not happen mostly you know family.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
I love the sigh because I bet I bet the
listeners right now y'all probably are like, wow, yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Couldn't be me.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Sometimes I think about that, I'm like, oh, it would
be so nice to go with it my whole family everywhere.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
And then I remember my parents are divorced, so they
have it.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
I'm sorry, I'm not laughing. I'm not laughing.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Isn't that most of our parents?
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Though, I feel like they're.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Definitely in the in the watch a book call it
not the norm, and I agree, I one hundred percent agree.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Yeah, no, very blessed. And also that wedding looked like
the background, like the ocean, the beach, the altar, like
everything about it. It actually made me miss my wedding.
But it looked so so good and she looked beautiful.
So if you guys have to see those pictures.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Such a bit. She's so hot. They both are, they
both are, but Cobo is beautiful. I had never been.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
We had got got there and the first thing that
tunic is like, I'm gonna go for a swim on
like you would literally die. You're not allowed to swim
out there. Like the waves were insane. We were saying
in an area that's like right by where the van's
official like surfing tournament happens or whatever. God, so you
as you can imagine the waves there are literally insane. Uh,
(04:29):
but we did do something that I had been wanting
to do for a very long time, which is a
turtle release.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
That is cool. We would have.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Cried like they were so they there's.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Seven Oh my god, I'm fuck this up. But there's
like seven species of sea turtles in Mexico and five
of them.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Live in that area or like grow or reproduce in
that area. So they lay their eggs.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
And then they like collect them and like move them
out of the way of the people, so like put
them somewhere else so that the turtles are safe. And
then when they hatch, because the beach is also like
so wide, these poor turtles have everything laid against them,
like they are meant to fail. The way that they
get carried away by these huge waves. Yeah, like they're
(05:14):
literally thirty foot waves and the turtles are the size
of half of my hand, and you have to watch
them get slammed by the waves like it's normal.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
You talk about life challenges, that's a life challenge.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
I'm telling you. Like these turtle like they don't want
them to survive.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
They don't want them to The nature said, you're gonna
have the hardest It's literally like they were.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Twenty minutes old. Let me release them.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
They literally just open their eyes and wake up into
a fucking war zone.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
It's actually insane.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Oh my god.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
And at one point they were like, if the wave
comes and the turtles are gonna get swept, just make
sure that you don't move so you don't step on
numb or whatever. And so we're like, okay, so we
like release the turtle and then a huge wave comes.
I have a video of this, like turtles just like
in the sand and all of a sudden, this huge
wave comes in.
Speaker 3 (05:59):
It just disappear. But we released all of them. There
were no seagulls.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Somebody told me that one wedding they went to they
did that turtle release thing, and then they were like
fifteen seagulls and they just kept swiping down and eating
all the turtles, and the kids were screaming and.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
I bet, yeah, I would kill a bitch, I'd kill
a sequel.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
Yeah, we were all screaming at our little turtles.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Like obviously they were Pelton structures there, so we were
all like screaming and like coaching our turtles.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Let's get us one, let's go.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
And it reminds me of finding Nemo. Remember, yeah, so cute.
They're just like one with the flowing that's turtles. Yeah yeah,
all right, well that sounds fun. That sounds like a
beautiful experience.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
You, on the other hand, were moving, yeah, texting me
and I was not responding at all, Like she was.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Like hello, are you live?
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Hello, Hello, Hello, people asking you questions like I'm literally
somewhere else physically.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
Yeah, I'm so glad you were having so much fun
because I'd been like same, not really no, so what
has happened? And like I'm literally talking So my first off,
moving sucks at the end of the day, whether you
hire a company, whether you don't, whether it like it sucks,
and so like literally we've been unpacking this week, and
(07:18):
I guess from like lifting stuff up and whatnot, my
neck had already been bothering me. Yesterday I wake up
and I'm like, oh my god, what did I do?
And I like literally I'm like moving like this, like
back and forth. I can't even turn my neck. So
I had to go get acupuncture yesterday and like cupping
and like try to get it released. It's I'm still
like sore as hell. But AnyWho, what has happened is
(07:39):
that the building that we lived in in Miami. We
moved from New York to Miami exactly a year ago.
We found this beautiful apartment y'all with like Kemy's been
there has like and they.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
Were like, psych oh I cried. We're talking about this.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Yeah, you cried when you came into our apartment because
it's so it's so cute, like so much light right
on the ocean like this, seeing mandes every day, dolphins
like once in a while, and just it was so awesome.
But anyways, what has happened is that word of advice.
Always read documents that you're gonna sign, and also never
(08:13):
feel pressure to sign anything. Because three months into living
in that building, they called my husband down to the office.
I was away traveling for work, and they said, yeah,
we need you to just like you gotta go. Yeah.
They were like, we need you to review some papers.
There's just been a few changes to the documents. It's
an adndum that you need to sign. He's like, okay,
I'll be right there, goes down to the office. There's
two lawyers sitting in the leasing office, and they tried
(08:35):
to pressure him to sign these new documents. On the
spot and he was like, no, I'm not going to
sign anything until I review all the papers. And so
he's like, well, what are the main changes, and they
kept on saying like, oh, you know, things are the
building and like the amenities and the rules and this
in the parking. He's like, okay, but like these twenty
papers isn't going to just be for that. And finally
(08:55):
they were like, oh, well, you know, if this building
sells at the end of the year, and it means
that you need to vacate the building within sixty days
of the sale. And he goes, oh, okay, so this
is different now. So they were trying to be all
sketchy about it, and thankfully we reviewed it and we're
able to negotiate, you know, a way to like actually,
you know, not be compositated, like be compensated, but also
(09:18):
just be taking care of it away where it's like
they were just gonna let us pay for all of
this stuff, right, And so long story short, we're okay,
we found a spot that's almost similar, has a beautiful view.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Turns out the building was sold.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
It's gonna be it's gonna be so' stuff and sold it.
But like we had to like protect our asses and
like find a new spot unless yeah, then we won't
be able to find anything. So the movie company came
on Monday helped us pack all of our stuff. But
then after they packed it, it's like, okay, they drop
off all the stuff and then we're here in an
apartment with just boxes.
Speaker 2 (09:51):
Right.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
So it's just been a process. And if you all
are going through a move, or have been through a move,
or we'll be going through a move, I feel you.
I feel you so much. It's never fun. But I
guess the fun and positive point or the positive light
of it all is one new memories to new decor.
We've had to buy a few things because it is
(10:12):
a little bit bigger, which is great. New neighbors who
are hopefully great. We'll see. My neighbors in New York
became my they came to my bachelorette party. They became
one of my best friends. So we'll see. I don't
think you'll be able to top your neighbors in New
York though, I don't think so either. I know, thank you,
congrats on the move.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
I'm really excited for you. That means you're gonna have
a little bit of time too, or.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
You're gonna need a little bit of time to settle
down girlfriend. And this is what's crazy. It's like, y'all
know how in life things come at you all at once.
It feels like and they say, like it comes in
threes or it comes in whatever. And like October and
November one of the craziest months of my year, always, always, always,
always I'm like traveling to like a bunch of cities,
(10:56):
so many planes, and it just all happened at the
same time. And like on top of like other family
things and hell things, I'm just like, what is going on?
Like moon, Like where's the moon at? What is what
is that?
Speaker 2 (11:06):
No, no bitch, because I literally saw like I think
it's like the New Moon or some shit, because I
literally went on Instagram last night.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
And I was like, oh my god, like I'm unwell.
I was like I'm not well.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Like I'm like fighting people, like I don't know what's
wrong with me. And then all of a sudden, I
go on Instagram. It's like some some the new moon
and this girl's crying. I'm like, oh, is that what
it is? Because something is fucking wrong.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Y'all.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
If you're going through any shit, it's the moon. Okay,
it's a new moon.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Apparently, but but no, I feel that. Okay, I have
a question for you. Yeah, do you are you the
decorator in the house.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Like app so fucking lutely.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Do you want to, like Lisia decorate your house?
Speaker 2 (11:50):
No?
Speaker 3 (11:51):
No, what would he do? What would he do?
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Just like hang shit up everywhere like Saint Fansac Like, No,
he would he would think in like the dimensions. Obviously
he's an engineer, Y'allso okay, get that, but like in
terms of like the color contrast, the you know, what
kind of mood we're going for. We're going for the bohemian,
we're going for contemporary, we're going for modern, Like what
are we doing? And that's me? Oh yeah, what about you?
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Yeah, Luciana likes to think that. He has to say.
I think that's the trick. You have to let them
think that you're taking them into account.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Which I do.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
Yeah, But at the end of the day, my ideas
are better. I agree, And that's just the fact.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
You know.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
However, I am really proud because our kitchen marble, like
the kitchen here has like this marble on it, and
it looks just old. It looks outdated. And so he
went and has put you know, the sticker like you
could like stick on like the it's not stick on marble,
but it's like a sticker you could put over kitchen countertops. No,
(13:00):
you stick this whole sheet over outdated or shitty old
countertops and it looks brand new. So he just said that,
and we're putting on sticky backsplash to make the kitchen
look a bit more modern to our taste. Oh and
that was him, So I gotta get it. I gotta
give it to him.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Yeah, Luciana was like, because I like funky lamps, Like
I have a lot of lamp.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
I have an orange lamp. I have a mushroom lamp.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
He's like, He's like, everything doesn't need to be super funky, and.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
I was like, yes it does.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
Actually, Hey, I'm tired, like I don't want to have
like gray things, mind you. I'm like in the most
boring room of my house because I'm like, this is
like the studio office, kind of like situation, and I
want to put like soundproofing panels in the back and
two chairs in the back for us to record the podcast.
When you come to New York, love, but this has
been like obviously the least priority because I'm trying to
figure out everything else. Uh I forgot about I forgot.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
And that's where we're at, y'all, So stay tuned. We'll
be right back after this.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
I think.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Okay, well, welcome back, guys.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
I remember what I was saying, and that's that I
can have a little funky because I'm tired of living
in a gray and white like apartment. Like, not that
I was ever gray and white, like I was very
much like Bojo, but for a while, like I feel
like I was trying to do like the beige, like
everything was beige or like I was trying to make
everything beige.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
And I'm not a beige girl. I'm just not a
beige girl. Like I'm not a beige bitch.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
I like color, So I have a funky bitch.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
I am a little funky, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
So now I got a rug here and I'm exploring
a little bit.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
I love that. I love that. Well. I had to
buy a few items and we switch up the color.
So we have like some blacks with some contrasts, some white,
some beige, some bohemian and yeah, so I'll send I'll
show you guys a pick when once the decor is done.
How you guys like it?
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Yeah, something that I have been like struggling with though,
because I've been like super back and forth and like
traveling so much. And now finally i have like a
week where I'm at home and I'm not really doing
too much because the studio is inder maintenance right now,
so I'm not physically I'm still.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
Working, but I'm not physically going into the studio.
Speaker 2 (15:22):
Is that Like I am getting frustrated with myself because
I want to like create things and like be creative,
but I'm just so tired. Yeah, I'm exhausted because and
I'm like, wait, why are you so tired?
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Like what are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (15:37):
And I'm like, I've just been doing the most, Like
yeah I was. I was in Mexico, but like I
was also on Myxico. Like it's tiring to like travel
these six hours to like get back and like get
back to the working of things the routine because you're
like and it was daylight saving time, so not only
was I on the west coast coming to the East coast,
but it was also daylight saving time, so.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
I did not.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
I actually stayed up, you guys. The day that I
got back from Mexico. I stayed up until what time
me Lisa past twelve?
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Yeah, but what time? Uh?
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Two am?
Speaker 3 (16:13):
A little later, three, a little later, four fifteen four.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
I stayed up until four in the morning. I haven't
done that watching a show. What Like I just And
I was like, I was just sitting there enjoying my show,
like captivated, fully captivated by the show.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
I haven't done that since I was like fifteen, truly,
what times you wake up? Then after that, Oh my god,
I had supposed to have like a meeting at eight
thirty am.
Speaker 3 (16:41):
Oh hell, Now Luciano started blowing.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
Up my phone at ten, like, hey, heybe because my
mom's trying to watch his Rex.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
My dog.
Speaker 2 (16:49):
Yeah, and she I don't have a car because Luno
has to drive to school work. So he's blowing me
up and he's like, uh, your mom's friend is like
literally outside, you have to go get Rex.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
And I was like, oh my god. I had like
my my which you would call it I cover.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
I'm mask my imask on like halfway off my face
and like my pillows were sticking out the sides honestly.
It was worth it though, because the show that I
was watching I had to finish it, which it's called Task.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Have you seen it? No, it's not HBO with Mark Ruffalo.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Oh I see this.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
God, it is so good, Like it's incredible. So Mark
Ruffalo is a former priest turned FBI.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
Agent and it's literally so well made and well. I
love Mark Ruffalo.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Period. Okay, Task, put it on your list. I needed
to put on my list.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
Added to your list, like I literally, like, I mean,
I don't have to say much.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
More, I said, until fourth in the morning watching it,
I haven't done that.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Maybe I shouldn't put it on my list.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Then no, you should, you should. What are you watching now?
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Before the move, we watched Shows Your Friends and Neighbors
with uh John Ham Juan hamone. We all love him one.
It's so good. We finished it so quick because it
was like really addicting pretty much. It's about him being
this like finance guy making a lot of money, living
(18:19):
in like a really uppity town outside of New York City,
and then him like losing his job really at this firm,
and then him coming to realization that like this uppity
town he was in was just like touch this bubble life.
But here's the thing, this comedy, Yeah yeah, yeah, all
of a sudden, this guy like starts robbing his neighbors
(18:41):
houses as like a hustle, as like for money because
he knows the like where everybody's at, you know who's
going to what party that night, or you know what's
their routines, like guys. Is actually like really good. It's
a good it's a good show. And then I also
watched Black Rabbit. Uh this this one, Oh my gosh,
(19:02):
I forgot the actors and the actors in it. Oh
they're really good.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
They're really good.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
But any from Ozark, yes, yes, yes, but the show
itself was super addicting, a little bit dark but the
same time funny, which I like that balance.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Jason Bamon Yes.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Yes, and Jula Love Love Love. I highly recommend the show,
y'all if you're looking for one as well.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
I tried watching that one and I thought it was
really good, but I was it's more of a Luciano
show than a Camilla show. I was on my phone
too much, I think too, so I wasn't able to
like get into it.
Speaker 3 (19:37):
Yeah there's okay, I will say, there's like two kinds
of people. There's people who enjoy.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Comedy series like Melissa and people that enjoy End of
the World series or like really dark series like Task
like Kamila. I think everyone will enjoy Task because it's
just so well made, Like it literally has what's the
rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I feel like it's like ninety
six percent. There are say that's really good.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
All right, maybe I add I'll at it.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
So after I watch that, somebody was like, watch this next.
Speaker 1 (20:07):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
It's like it's called The Pit. Have you seen it? No,
it's so gross. It's disgusting, but.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
It's so like, like I think, get a gross.
Speaker 3 (20:17):
So it's like a.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Realistic, uh portrayal of healthcare workers in like an emergency room,
so they're like working in their emergency room. It's called
the Pit, like one of the most highly trafficked emergency
rooms or whatever. I haven't gotten that far into it.
It's rated ninety five percent also on Raw Tomatoes.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
But it's like really good. But just know that if
you're squeamish, it's not for you.
Speaker 2 (20:41):
And I'm squeamish also watch it like I'm sciamage irl.
Not so much for TV, but just know that going
into it.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Okay, do you have an all time favorite TV show,
like of all time, of all time that you could
just watch it again and again and again. It doesn't
even matter. I have.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
I have that more with movies than TV shows.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
I think the I really, I don't know. I really
enjoyed Game of Thrones.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Can you believe I've never seen that?
Speaker 3 (21:16):
You're dumb? Literally un stupia. You have to watch that
note Have you tried?
Speaker 1 (21:26):
I think I tried a few years ago and I
just couldn't.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
The first episode could arguably be a little slow. Maybe
that's why you have to watch that. Or we're not
friends anymore.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
You sound like your friend that gave you a shot
at the wedding. You have to take a shot, or
we're not friends anymore.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Except I'm giving you a beautiful gift of Denaress Targarian.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Okay, give me some time, give me some time. I
don't do it.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
The the movies, oh the movie that I hated, Well,
I like the movie, but the reason one that I
saw that, I was like, fuck this movie. A House
of Dynamite's on Netflix.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
It's like number one right now.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
It's it's about like the whole process behind like a
nuclear attack or something of that sort, and the potential
end of the world, you know, my favorite genre.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
And the ending is just so people.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
Okay, ning's not bad, the ending is not bad, but
it's just so frustrating.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
It is like one of the most frustrating.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
I don't know if I like that, And I think
I think everyone feels the same way. I posted about
our Instagram and like I got like fucking seven thousand
million dms saying fuck this movie.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
No way I watch it, but.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
I would watch it again. No, you should watch it.
You should definitely watch it.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Like it's a good movie.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
The movie that I you just want me to feel frustrated.
That's it. I'm already frustrated going through this mother move.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Okay, well, like I don't know if you just want
to turn your brain off and like watch something.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
I watched it like while.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
I was running on the treadmill too, Okay, Like I
watched it when I was like running on the Pelton
treadmill because we have the Netflix Entertainment app. And then
I was like, I have to finish this, so it's
very long, Like I'm not gonna run for that long.
Speaker 3 (23:10):
So then afterwards I transitioned to the couch. I also,
did you see the f one movie?
Speaker 1 (23:16):
No? I want to though, That's what I really do
want to watch.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
The one with Brad Pitt is so sick.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
And after having gone to the Formula one track in
the Circuit of the Americas in Texas with Peloton and
running it, I was like, I felt so bad ass,
Like I felt like Brad pit legit, like running before
I was about to raise the heart palpitations that gave
me though, Like it was just like so much adrenaline,
like your heart is literally beating fast in that movie,
(23:42):
Like it's so.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Well made wild.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
And I love watching Formula one like recreation kind of
like things because the sport is so insane. Yeah, but
I will say my favorite novela I said it before
and I'll say it again is Drive to Survive.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
Have you seen the series on Netflix?
Speaker 2 (23:58):
No, the Formula one series on Netflix where it follows
the actual drivers.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Oh my god, I need to see that.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Yeah you do.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
I actually am super interested, Like I'm intrigued by the
growth of Formula one. And also I come from the
car like a car family, Like my dad's a mechanic
and still is and you know, like a the cars
have always been instilled in like my life, so and
he loves it. He loves Formula one, he loves all
of that. So I definitely it's like intriggering. I definitely
need to to get into it.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
So what are you what's your all time favorite show?
Speaker 2 (24:30):
Y'all?
Speaker 1 (24:31):
If you're listening, I know you're gonna be with me
on this one.
Speaker 5 (24:35):
And it is Friends, literally everyone everyone, everyone else. But
you know we're right, you know, it's so ironic though,
Like I've I don't remember how old I was when
I first started watching Friends, and I love it and
I even remember I remember going to Columbia on.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Like a summer vacation. I was probably fifteen, I don't know.
And do you remember like they used to sell like
the bootleg discs with all the series, like like you
can do it. You can find a New York, you
can find it whatever, Columbia wherever.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Like the CDs, yes, like the like for those listening
that don't know what a CD is a real object
that you insert into.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
And no, it's not a tampon.
Speaker 3 (25:21):
Always do that.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
I do, I do, I admit it. I always bring
it to the to the next level and sometimes inappropriately. Okay,
So back to friends.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
This is the ironic part where way do you remember
a floppy disc?
Speaker 1 (25:41):
Where are you going with this?
Speaker 3 (25:43):
No, I don't want you to know, please do not.
I'm just I just remembered floppy disk. And I also.
Speaker 1 (25:49):
Nobody, nobody, nobody likes a floppy disk.
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Nobody likes a floppy We do like a hard drive, though.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
I have done who created who named it?
Speaker 3 (26:06):
A floppy dis right?
Speaker 1 (26:08):
Like I could understand the hard drive, the hard one,
but like the floppy.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Anyway, continue with friends.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
Okay, So the ironic part about the friends is that
where we used to live in New York City was
a block, like like a block and a half from
the Friends Museum.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
Okay, and here am I? I love friends? And as
soon as we moved into that apartment in New York City,
I was like, oh my god, Christian the Friends Museum.
He doesn't like friends. And this was like, I was like,
your husband doesn't like friends. No, I'm like, we're over,
We're done. Yeah. But his side of things is like, well,
you don't like Harry Potter And I'm like, okay, true,
(26:49):
but like friends as friends? He says that it's not
funny because they like, you know how the old school
television shows they'd have like fake laughs, like in the
audience or edited in. So he says, it's just like
all fake and it's not funny. But I always loved it.
And so when I saw this friend's museum, I was like,
oh my gosh, we need to go. He didn't want
to come with me. Y'all. We lived in this apartment
(27:11):
for like almost five years, and I know.
Speaker 3 (27:14):
It does could say I'm consider as good comedy.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Hmm, I don't know. That's even fucking worse. I'm kidding.
I don't know. I gotta ask, I gotta ask you.
But yeah, so I still actually, I mean, why don't
we just go to the friends museum one day?
Speaker 3 (27:34):
We should? Honestly, I'd be super down.
Speaker 1 (27:35):
Okay, I'd be super down. Okay, what was I gonna say?
Speaker 3 (27:40):
I do want to know, like, what's your favorite movie
of all time?
Speaker 1 (27:44):
So this is really drastic. I don't don't ask me why,
but I have two favorites and they're complete, like opposite genres.
One is incredibly gory and horrific, but is like a
true story. You Yeah, me, I have a dark side, bitch, Okay,
sometimes I don't believe it. I know me neither sometimes,
but you know, it really is. I think I think
(28:05):
it's more also like an emotional attachment to this movie
because it's one that my brothers and I used to
watch growing up, like on replay weirdly. So anyways, this
movie is one of my favorites, and it's Mel Gibson's
Brave Heart, and it's the movie back like.
Speaker 3 (28:19):
Brave Heart is not gory, is it?
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (28:22):
It is like the wife gets like Mel Gibson's wife
gets like decapitated in like scene one.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Oh wait, I haven't seen it.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Oh my god, you need to watch it. It's like
three hours long. It's so long, but it's so good,
and it's like all about him fighting for Scotland and
he's like leading this army and they're like freedom and
they go against like the royal, the royalty, the king,
and I'm not a fan of royal families. So I'm like,
let's fucking go Brave Heart.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
And what's the other movie that has nothing to do
with that? Love?
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Actually, wait, everyone said yes, I really loves that movie.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
And we were about to We're about to be in
the holiday season y'all, so put it on repeat. Oh
I love that one so much or so many cute
love stories and it gets me every time. Okay, what
about you?
Speaker 3 (29:11):
My favorite movie? My favorite movie isn't Glorious Bastards.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
That's a good one.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
I don't know, apparently I really fuck with Brad Pitt.
Glorious Pastards is such.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
A good movie to me, Like, I really really really
love that movie.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
But who doesn't fuck with.
Speaker 3 (29:33):
Truly? If you don't, you have a problem. And with that,
we'll toss the break.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
We'll be right back where Millie and I are going
to talk about.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
And rate the new jerseys for the World Cup. So
don't miss out, all right, cue catch up my girl?
Speaker 2 (29:56):
But is there something that I know Madisa is excited about?
Speaker 3 (29:59):
Is soccer?
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Kids?
Speaker 3 (30:00):
How many jerseys do you have?
Speaker 4 (30:02):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (30:03):
My god, girlfriend hold only does not exist for all
that watching the show video wise, I'm turning my camera
around just so you can see my boxes everywhere moving.
Those are filled with jersey?
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Are they really these?
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Yeah, there's a bunch in there that are jerseys.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
Yes, yes, yes, she probably has like one hundred straight up.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Oh the at least at least you could you could
call me a hoarder. You could call me a collectioner,
collection or collector.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Anyway, Baby Alias just revealed a whole bunch of kids
for next year's World Cup, and we have thoughts.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
We do because they are I love I love this
time of the year or time of the cycle, because
the FIFA World Cup is a four year cycle, but
whether it be for the men's the women's, and we
start getting closer and we start getting the butterflies and
the excitement and the energy because this is when the
kit releases start coming out. And so recently Adidas just
(31:03):
launched their kits for the World Cup with the teams
that they have sponsorship partnership agreements with. And so the Argentina,
what is the best? So funny? You're funny. Oh my god,
you're so funny.
Speaker 3 (31:21):
What do you say? The Columbia, Oh my god. The colors,
it's the same fucking color as it always is.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
That's not true. We change the colors and yours is
always the same colors.
Speaker 3 (31:32):
Anyways, let's wait.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
Okay, so obviously we have a bye. Columbia is my
favorite jersey, Argentina is your favorite jerseys? But what do
you think makes a good jersey? Before we rank. I
want to know what you think. How you analyze a jersey.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
I would just say it has to do with overall aura.
Like if if we're going for something, we gotta go
all the way and we gotta we gotta make it count,
we gotta make.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
It mean something.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
I think that if it's just like Plaine, I'm not
really going for that. If there's some stripes in there,
some new stripes, some new designs, I like that different angles,
you know, a little pattern, maybe h a cute cultural
reference if you will, hmmm, yes, I.
Speaker 3 (32:25):
Like what about you?
Speaker 1 (32:27):
I I agree with you. I love like a good
pattern some intrinsic designs to it. For instance, Nigeria is
a Nike jersey, but like Nigeria for me has one
of the best jerseys of all time because there's like
so many different color waves and like in designs and patterns.
So for me, it's like the eye catchingness. Don't get
(32:48):
me wrong, A good solid basic kit sometimes hits, but
I do love like one that just has meaning to
it and what I mean meaning to it, Like I
love when kit designers from these brands really dig into
like the history behind the country, the football of the country,
and put it into the design of the kit of
(33:10):
the jersey. And so with that being.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
Said, should we go through our favorites?
Speaker 2 (33:17):
You go, and then I go, and then if we
have similars, then we can talk about them together.
Speaker 3 (33:21):
Yes, Okay, you go first.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Okay, my, we have Okay, Comy and I already have
a Bye number one because our one number ones are
obviously going to be the number one. Okay, and Hendina
and Colombia exactly. And keep in mind, this is just
for the Adidas kids that have just been released. We'll
do this again once Nike releases theirs and the other
brands also.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
Okay, but wait, that Hendina want is sick because I
feel like it has a little bit of.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
A vintage vibe.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
The gradient in the too it looks like they're like,
you know, three D kind of like tube leg Is
it your turn?
Speaker 3 (33:53):
It's the og It's the OG girls.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
But the the it makes it look like Gastado in
the middle, like because of the gradient, so it kind
of looks a little bit more vintage. And I really
fuck with that, Okay, go on, eh.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
I think it's same old, same old. No, just kidding,
I think it's I think Argentina one is really cool.
It's obviously similar to what we've seen in the past,
but it does have that gradient in there, which I
which I do like, and I mean the badassery in
that obviously is gonna be the three stars, the addition
of the star being that Argentina the last World Cup.
(34:29):
So there you go, there you go.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
I'll give you your flowers.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Okay, bad But number one, my number one, of course
is Columbia. And since you just you know, talked about
ar Hintina so much, let me talk about the Columbia
jersey because they had other yellow jerseys that had like
this orange lines on the on the top, and I didn't.
It was never a fan this Columbia jersey. Y'all the
(34:53):
colors hit. It's like it's obviously the yellow, blue and red,
but it's like a it's like a nice it's an
nicer blue. I like the blue that they use in this.
They had this intrinsic pattern like design all the butterflies,
the butterflies and like the hybiscuss flowers, and it's like
a play on Gabriel Garcia Marquez, like the history of
the country. And it also is a representation of like
(35:17):
the butterflies, for instance, like transformation, it also represents the
vibrance of our culture, the colorfulness, the the the happiness
of Colombia.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
She just looked up meaning of butterflies and it is
reading that shit off of Wikipedia right now.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Why not? I swear No, I read. I read the
press We waste on this kid yesterday because I did
a social media post on it and I was like, oh,
this is very interesting. See I told you I like
the meanings behind the designs. There's yeah, but yeah. So
I was really excited to see the Columbia one and
I think it's flaps. I can't wait to wear it. Okay,
(35:53):
my number two is Germany. I love.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
I love how I love Germany's number two.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
I didn't put them numbers. We said we weren't going
to number them. You don't follow fucking instructions. We're just
going for for vibes.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
Overall, No I ranked them.
Speaker 2 (36:10):
I think I have my number one, but everything else
is just kind of like loose because you know me,
I can't I'm indecisive.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
But Germany was.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
The first one that I saw, and I literally I
was like so sick love.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
It's it's literally a play on like their classic old
late eighties early nineties kit. I think it's I think
that one's awesome.
Speaker 3 (36:32):
I love the diagonal stripes.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
It's so so's so sick. And of course Adidas being
you know, of German origins, and this is I don't
know if you knew this, but after this World Cup,
like like next year, Germany and the German Federation is
no longer going to be by Adidas. Did you know that?
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Shit?
Speaker 3 (36:54):
No I didn't.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Yeah, so this is juicy. Nike actually will have Germany.
Speaker 3 (37:00):
Oh wow, y'all like.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
That heat right there, Like obviously it's a huge competitor,
but like to take the country's kids as well, Like yah,
spicy is spicy. So this is like Germany's I think,
like really like honoring the German national team, but like
their last go at it as well before they lose
this this kid. Okay, So Germany was my number two. Okay,
(37:27):
here's my three?
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Wait wait wait what it's my turn?
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Okay, okay, So my number one I think is Whales.
What I think it's so cunty because.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
It's like retro what is county?
Speaker 3 (37:45):
Oh my god? How old are you? Take it back?
Speaker 1 (37:50):
I don't want to say it Siri, what does county mean?
Speaker 2 (37:55):
Oh my god, county is the Italian word account noble.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
Please something is cunty. It's good, it's good, it's amazing.
It's the best thing that that there is that?
Speaker 1 (38:10):
What is that? What is that for? TikTok? What the
gen Z J and X Like, what are you? What
is this from?
Speaker 2 (38:15):
Oh my god? Okay, anyway, the Whales Jersey has these
horizontal stripes and then the dragon emblem in the middle,
and well, we did just talk about Game of Thrones,
but that's not why I loved it.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
I love it because of the of the It just
looks very retro and I feel like I could wear
this with anything and look effortlessly cool. True, Like I
feel like it matches with all the outfits. I feel
like if you want to wear like a very like cool,
sporty street look, it just fits. And you can also
show up, you know, to the country club. We're like,
(38:51):
I don't know, like somewhere like a little bit more elevated,
and it still goes because of of the colors and
the like that.
Speaker 1 (38:58):
I do like that. I do like I changed your mind.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
It wasn't on your list, but now I know that
it's a top contender for you, and that makes me happy.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
You're right, You're right, I do like it. I'm looking
at it right now. Okay, would you say that it's
cunty If cunty means elegant, if kunti means oh my god,
(39:26):
someone's cut, how do you spell it with a y
cunty meaning y'all? I know you all are listening. Also
don't know what this word means, so I'm doing y'all face.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
Literally everybody knows, but you. I'm so. I've never been
more embarrassed.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Okay. It could have a negative or a positive connotation.
It's positive, Okay, positive, it says uh, complimentary. It can
mean amazing, very good, cool, have powerful, confident, unapologetic, feminine energy,
often relating to fashion or attitude. End quote, you look
(40:03):
cunty tonight. End quote.
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Yeah, vaginas are the best thing in the world, and
being cunty is amazing.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
This is serving cut. I agree. I've learned something new today.
For English press one, it's for Bannglish plus two, for
Spanish plus three.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
And now I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with the amount
of time. So we said the word cunt let's move forward. Please, Okay,
it's your turn.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
It is okay. So my number three since I am
ranking is mexicolindo.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
Oh yeah, that was on my list too.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
I love it. I love it so much. I do
think like the patterns that the second patterns. I love it.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
I have.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
I actually have this jersey already. I was gifted it
about two weeks ago.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
And that means a lot coming from my DNA.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Mm hmmm, that's true because the rivalry is so real.
Speaker 3 (41:02):
I went to Canada.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
I went to the Gana versus a Hintina game in
MetLife and we sat down and obviously like Argentina was playing,
so we were wearing Argentina jerseys and there was this line
I guess they had tickets maybe from before, of like
seven people wearing Mexico jerseys. At every time Canada did
anything that was good, they would turn around and yell
(41:25):
at us at our faces.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
I'm like, what the fuck?
Speaker 3 (41:27):
This is insane? Not surprised, not surprised at all. No,
but the jersey is sick. The kit is giving.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:35):
I like the cultural cultural nod there for sure.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
My next one is Japan.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
I like it. I do, I like it.
Speaker 3 (41:46):
I mean, I.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Like Kuai, I like all Japanese fashion, but I think
that I love the like line pattern and design and
especially around the neck. I thought it was like super
sick ye and I feel like also, that's one of
those that you can wear a lot.
Speaker 1 (42:07):
Yeah, I think so too. It's it's cute. I like,
I like the lines more than anything. That's cool. Uh
my number four is Saudi?
Speaker 3 (42:17):
Same really, yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
Girl, it's sick like that. I love that forest green,
the like the the diamond shape graphics for me is
very very cool, has like pops of color with that
like purplesh I think it's I think it's really like
intrinsic creative and I wasn't expecting this honestly, so I
really love it. I actually I need a cop this
(42:43):
jersey like. I love it, copa kit like.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
I like the the diamond shapes with the different tones
on it. So we like patterns. We're really simple gals.
Oh yeah, all we like is a pattern on a
tea or.
Speaker 1 (42:56):
Some lines and maybe something funky.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
Yeah, just give us, give us some cute lines, give
us some What do you think of the of the
one that looks like abs the one from Northern Ireland.
Speaker 1 (43:08):
I think it's doing too much. What do you mean
like ABS?
Speaker 2 (43:14):
You have to look at it on the Instagram post.
It's designed to look like ABS.
Speaker 1 (43:22):
I mean, I just I don't need to wear that then, truly,
where the hell is that? Okay? Opening up now.
Speaker 3 (43:33):
It's giving a little like superhero cossums.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
Oh, I see it, I see it. I don't like it.
I'm not a fan. Are you a fan?
Speaker 2 (43:43):
No?
Speaker 3 (43:43):
I was saying I don't like it.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Yeah, no, I don't like it. Not my fave. Okay,
should I go to my number five?
Speaker 3 (43:52):
Yeah, because you already said all of mine.
Speaker 1 (43:54):
Okay, my number five is Costa Rica.
Speaker 3 (43:59):
Really, yeah, I was looking at that one.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
I love it. It also has like a cute pattern,
like more circular design swirly graphic. It gives me like
tropical vibes. And also the colors. It obviously matches like
the their colors, but like in a different tone. So
I really do like this one. I think it's different.
It's something different than we've seen from a Costa Rican
(44:23):
Jersey in the past.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
Right, Melissa really is so basic though, because she picked
all the swirly designs.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
Does that mean I'm basic? Or does that mean I'm county.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
I think that you are.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
You know what you want and it's a little swirly design.
I feel like it's like giving, like little fly that
doesn't know and just flies into the light.
Speaker 3 (44:54):
That's what she likes. She's just like swirly designs.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
Okay, design, My number six don't have a swirl in it.
Wait are you?
Speaker 3 (45:03):
How many are you doing?
Speaker 1 (45:04):
Well? I already had the bye like number one was Columbia,
so I did the other five?
Speaker 3 (45:09):
Oh my god, okay, so.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
My my aka number six is Spain.
Speaker 2 (45:14):
I was just gonna say that honestly, Like most people
are not rating it that high, but I think, like
once when it's on the body, it looks really sick,
it does.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
I love a stripe. I love down, like striped down jerseys.
Obviously Argentina has it at the club level. It's like
like a classic Newcastle United, Like there's a bunch of
jerseys like that and this Spanish one. I am a fan,
I'm a fan.
Speaker 3 (45:38):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
Yeah, Well, those are our rankings for the new jerseys
for the World Cup.
Speaker 3 (45:45):
What are your faiths? We want to hear and better be.
Speaker 1 (45:48):
At Hntina and have better not be at Hintena. Oh
but y'all, honestly, I know a lot of our listeners
love like football and kits and jerseys, and obviously I
am a collector. Now that we've corrected that word that
I missed, that I butchered. But I not only love
kids so much that I collect them. But I also
(46:10):
had a birthday party two years ago and it was like,
you had to show up wearing a soccer kit. Okay,
so that's how much. That's like, how passionate I like
I am about soccer jerseys, and I have so many,
whether that be vintage, modern, even collaborative one.
Speaker 3 (46:26):
She's giving me a couple really sick ones too.
Speaker 1 (46:29):
I never said that. But we'll talk about this.
Speaker 2 (46:36):
All right, Maddie. Should we Should we hit up out
on my fum alsa. I have something to say, Okay.
This episode is being recorded on the date of Rosalia's
lux album release.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
Oh, I didn't know this.
Speaker 2 (46:50):
I have been waiting for this moment for since Molder
Mammy dropped and I listened to it front of back
eighty five times. This bitch she's incredible. I think she's
an amazing artist. Everyone's talking about, like, oh, who's the
next Brittany Tay McCrae.
Speaker 3 (47:06):
Oh, who's the next Brittany Addison may Oh, Who's no?
Rosalia is the pop star diva of our time. She
is the one. She is the visionary.
Speaker 2 (47:18):
She's got the passion, she's got the talent, she's got
the soul. She doesn't give a fuck what anybody else wants.
She's gonna do what she wants. This is gonna be
and hopefully I don't know, I haven't even listened to it,
but I feel like it's gonna be something that changes,
like the space of pop music for the better. I
feel like it's giving, like revolutionary, like Madonna kind of
(47:40):
vibes in a different way. But we heard the first
track drop, which is berg Gane. I believe it's how
you pronounce it, and it has like string orchestral.
Speaker 3 (47:55):
Arrangements.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
It is absolutely insane from the beginning, it just drops
and slaps you in the face. And I'm so excited
to listen to the rest of the album, and I'm
counting down the hours. I believe there's probably like four
hours left, but I've only watched like six of her
interviews already.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
That's it, that's all. Yeah, that's awesome. I love I
love Rosalia. Actually, you know what, I was so sad
when heard from Leandro spot up.
Speaker 2 (48:19):
I was like, I really mourned that. I think it
might have been a pr couple, but who knows, who knows,
But I did one. I did love that one song.
Speaker 1 (48:30):
No no no no no no no na no you
know what was that one? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (48:35):
Oh, I personally like Mombido's the most.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
The other day, I had like a YouTube playing and
I was playing like music videos, and all of a sudden,
Basso came on and I was like, Wow, they really
did get engaged.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Yeah, I love that. I had that song and replay
when I was out.
Speaker 2 (48:49):
Yeah, they got engaged and made a video with like
home tapes about it.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
And then they just broke up and left the video
up and.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
Left us all and left us all just hanging like
sad and depressed.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
Lutana literally walked into the room when that happened, and
he's like, what's wrong, And I'm like, Rosa broke up
and he's like, you don't know them.
Speaker 3 (49:06):
I'm like, shut up.
Speaker 1 (49:13):
It's amazing. Oh god, Okay. On my side of AAFAMUSA,
the latest and greatest right now in football is at
the time of this podcast episode release date. It is
just a few days away from the NWSL Championship game,
y'all the final, the grand finale of the season, and
(49:37):
so I'm excited to see who's going against who. At
this point of the podcast, we're still in the playoff mode.
My prediction in my want and I'm hoping it's like
a Washington Spirit and Kansas City. I think that'd be lit.
I think that game would be great. If you all
are going to be in San Jose for the NWSL Championship,
(49:59):
hit me up dm me, because I'm going to be there.
I have a programming of events that week in San Jose,
from panels to podcasts to being there at the game.
And I'm also doing a pop up with Kickoff Coffee,
my coffee company, So I'm gonna go.
Speaker 3 (50:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (50:18):
So we're gonna have a coffee cart at ally the
Ally House, which.
Speaker 3 (50:22):
Is you guys have to try the coffee, it's so good.
Speaker 1 (50:24):
Yeah, we're gonna have the coffee car. We're gonna have Barista's.
So definitely pass by if you're gonna be in the
San Jose area for the NFL Championship, And just like
say hi to me. I love to meet our listeners
and our audience, and it's happened before, like at stadiums
and stuff. So I love it. I love it, love it,
and I'm super excited this for this final. I think
a lot of brands are really engaging, are really putting
(50:46):
a lot of sponsorship money behind it, and I just
am so excited for like obviously not only the growth
of like the women's game, but also like a really
great final.
Speaker 2 (50:56):
Absolutely and Congrat's friend, I'm getting your coffee out there too,
So sick cheers, well deserve. You know, we didn't talk
about at all what I Harfia Slatina.
Speaker 1 (51:07):
You're right, okay, give us yo, give us the reak.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
I'm gonna I'm gonna give you a quick rundown because
it was super sick.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
So I got to Miami.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
I think it was Thursday, and I Harfa s Latino
was on Friday, which if you haven't heard of I
Harfa Selatina, it is a concert that happens in Miami.
There's like it's one of those concerts with the rotating
stage that I personally like really love because it's like
once you unless you're like a super huge fan of
an artist, like you're gonna listen to a couple of
songs and be like, Okay, well yeah, like I could
(51:37):
do without that one. But like these people were coming,
They're playing their five hits and then they're out, and
then you're like, oh my god, what's the next. It's
like the adrenaline is pumpin and going the entire time,
and my adrenaline was really pumpkin.
Speaker 3 (51:48):
I was out there pumpkin.
Speaker 1 (51:49):
Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin. I mean it is November, so yeah, literally,
my adrenaline was pumpkin.
Speaker 3 (51:56):
I was out there representing Asta Lajo.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
I did my first ever like I have TV interview
where I was like interviewing.
Speaker 3 (52:02):
Other people and I had so much fun, and.
Speaker 2 (52:04):
That came out on vix and I think it still
might be accessible if you want to go check it out.
Speaker 3 (52:09):
It's in Spanish.
Speaker 2 (52:10):
And I had so much fun with the iHeart team
and the vis team and I got an interviewed TCHINOI Nacho,
and I got to see a lot of other people
who and public figures in the Latino space that were
out there, and it was just super cool to be
in that space and to just be doing something that
is so fun and to be able to connect with
community in that way. So if you guys were out there,
(52:33):
sending you my love. And then if you haven't heard
of iharfiasa Latina and you like Latin music, make sure
you check them out next year because it was super fun.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
Yes, I was away on a trip and I was
having big fomo, but I.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
Know many was supposed to be there.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
I was on a work trip, y'all, you know how
it is. But I tuned in because I got to
my hotel room after work and I was like, oh
my gosh, it's about to start up. And I swear
to got literally as I like finally figured it out
and like connected my WiFi at the hotel. I like
within five minutes, like you were up and you interviewed
Chinaway Natcho. I was like, oh my god, And well
(53:06):
I got to see the end of their performance, which
was awesome because obviously, as a fan of Chinay Natcho,
like what they've been through and specifically like Chino has
been through, and to see him back and singing and
performing and then you got to interview him, it was
like a really special moment.
Speaker 3 (53:24):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
It was very special, and they were so kind like
everyone there was just so kind, and it was just
like the energy was buzzing backstage and everyone was just
so happy to be there. And and I've been listening
to Chinay Natcho forever, so it was really sick to have.
Speaker 1 (53:37):
Them Meani and yeah Wi, such a good song, such
a good song.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
