Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Hey it's Delilah.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Today, I'm sharing some of the greatest calls I've taken recently.
We're gonna weave them together and share them with you
on Hey It's Delilah. Hi Sarah, welcome aboard. Who's on
your heart tonight?
Speaker 3 (00:36):
James?
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Who is James? Why are you smiling when you say James?
Speaker 3 (00:41):
He's just amazing. He's been my rock and sorry, I'm
a little nervous.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
So take a deep breath. Is this a boyfriend? Is
this a fiance? Is this just a best friend?
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Like?
Speaker 2 (00:54):
What where are we out in the spectrum?
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Like?
Speaker 2 (00:58):
How often do your lips want to care us? His face.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
All the time, all the time?
Speaker 1 (01:03):
Okay, okay, so on the scale of good friend or
I can't stop thinking about him. I want to wake
up and see his face every day for the rest
of my life.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
We're clear over on that side of the scale, way
way over that way, way over that line.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Okay, does James know that that he's he's the man
of your dreams?
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Oh? Yes, yes, I actually proposed to me September twenty ninth.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
So so he is your fiance. Go ahead, try it out,
say it a few times. It sounds good on the air.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Hey, I guess my fiance.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
There you go, there you go. What can I play
for you?
Speaker 1 (01:40):
And James Sarah, Well, I'll leave it up to you
and we listen to your show all the time.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
I've listened to your show since I was the kids,
So you were like a huge inspiration for me. So
it's kind of a reason why I'm nervous too.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Well, no need to be nervous, but I will find
a perfect song to describe the perfect love.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
In your life. Thank you so much, Corey, thank you
for calling. This is Delilah, Hi, Delilah.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
How are you.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
I'm wonderful. How are you?
Speaker 5 (02:15):
As the question, I guess you could say, I'm doing
all right?
Speaker 2 (02:20):
Just all right?
Speaker 5 (02:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
What can I do for you?
Speaker 5 (02:25):
All right? There's this girl but I know. Her name
is Rachel, and I've known her for about four to
four and a half years now, and ever since I
laid eyes on her, I had always told myself and
told my friends, this is the girl but I want
to be with for the rest of my life and
me and her. You know, we've gotten close, we're good friends,
and for some reason, she just doesn't find me as
(02:46):
I guess dating material. And you know, I'd ask her
out and she'd be like, well, let me let me
sleep on it, let me think about it, and she'd
end up telling me no. And I'm looking at all
the guys that she's been out with, and you know,
she keeps breaking up with the breaking up with them,
and she keeps wondering why she's you know, she keeps
coming to me asking me questions like why is this
happening to me? Why these guys don't like me like that?
(03:09):
In Allen, I keep trying to explain to her that,
you know, I might be the one for her. She'd
give me a chance, but she doesn't seem much she
wants to give me a chance.
Speaker 6 (03:17):
And you're beating yourself up trying to figure out why
you can't make her love you.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
Right, I mean this, I know deep down as girl
is the one for me.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
No, it's not.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
If she's not into you and she's not in love
with you, there's nothing you can say or do to
encourage her or help her or make her feel what
it is you feel for her.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
That's called unrequited love.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
And I've spent most of my life in that kind
of situation, and it doesn't work. If she's not as
smitten with you and is eager to love you and
care for you and pamper you and cherish you as
you are her, then it's not going to be a
real relationship.
Speaker 5 (03:59):
That's so sad to hear.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Let me play a song for you, honey.
Speaker 5 (04:03):
All right, thank you very much, And I just want
to say I think you do a fabulous job and
I listen to you every night.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
Welcome aboard, my friend. This is Delilah who is with
me on the phone line.
Speaker 7 (04:23):
Hi, my name is Ashley.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Hi Ashley, are you having a good evening?
Speaker 7 (04:28):
I am. I am traveling home after a week away
for a work trip.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Well, I hope you have a safe travel home and
a good reunion.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
What can I play for you?
Speaker 3 (04:40):
Do?
Speaker 7 (04:40):
You could just pick something for me? This is my
first time being away from my son for this song,
and I just wanted to play something for him.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
What's your son's name and how old is he?
Speaker 7 (04:52):
His name is Isaac and he's two and a half.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
And mom's never been away for a week before.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
And let me tell you this, you are missing him
and aching to hold him like you've never ached before.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Huh.
Speaker 7 (05:08):
Yes, I'm ready to see him.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
That's the understatement of the century. Probably day one or
day two you were actually relaxing a little bit, going,
oh my gosh, do I actually get to sleep through
the night? But by day four you are losing your mind.
Speaker 7 (05:24):
Well, he's my IVF miracle. It took me twelve years
to have him, so I cherish every moment I can
get with him.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
I will play a sweet song for you and your Isaac,
and I know that second you get to wrap him
in your arms is going.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
To be the sweetest, the best. Thank you, Thank you,
drive carefully. Hi, good evening, Sam, Welcome aboard. What can
I do for you?
Speaker 4 (05:55):
I just wanted to tell you about my one of
my best friend and also teacher.
Speaker 8 (06:01):
Her name's miss Wall Okay, she I moved here a
little over a year ago, and oh my gosh, like
I was just determined to make my stay here miserable,
Like I've moved a lot, and I was just determined
that my life.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Here is going to be miserable if I have to
live here.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Okay, how how old are you.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
I'm almost fifteen, and why have you moved a lot?
Speaker 4 (06:28):
My parents got divorced and then my mom my mom
just works, and so we just move a lot.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
But yeah, so you move, you make friends, your heart
gets bonded to people, and then you have to move
and it hurts, and so you just decided, yes, I'm
not going to be happy, period, end of story.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Forget it.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
I'm tired of putting out the effort. There's nothing you
can do to make me happy.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Wait, exactly. And I was not going to make any
friends here, and I was so determined not to just
make my life mis little but like my family and
everybody around me.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
But you want to know what's funny, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Is when I was your age, I hadn't moved a lot,
but that was still my goal in life.
Speaker 8 (07:10):
Yeah, I think that may be my goal.
Speaker 4 (07:11):
Anyways, Well, at.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
Fifteen years old, it's understood, you know.
Speaker 8 (07:15):
Exactly, you know?
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Yeah, yeah, But then I signed up for drama and
I met my fulf and right away, like everything changed.
She got me into acting and she totally brought out
that in me. This isn't my best friend, she it seems,
I know.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
So she's a mentor. A friend, an encourager. She's found
that gift that God has given you to act and perform.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
Yes, and I like, I know it seems weird, might
see that she's my teacher, but I go to her
with everything. She has helped me so much. Like I
don't know, I just don't know how much. She just
will never know how much I love her.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
I so hope you have enjoyed these radio moments as
much as I enjoy bringing them to you.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
I'll share more with you each weekday on Hey, It's
Delilah to the
