would say that's pretty country. Yeah, my my adopted uncle.
Well it's not necessarily me hunting I was, but my
uncle just like watching him skin of deer and just

So you grew up singing in church? Yeah? Yeah? Is
that kind of where you cut your teeth and learned
how to play and singing pretty.

Yeah, pretty much was like you know, the choirs and
then you know, get a solo every now and then.
My dad was the worship leader, the music minister you
know ours.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Was too right, Oh yeah, and seaf and iing in Dallas,
which is crazy.

Yeah, and so you know, get a solo every now
and again. And then by youth group, I was like
leading worship with the band every Wednesday, every Sunday, and
that was like that was kind of like sometimes it
was just me though, you know, like solo acoustic leading
worship and stuff. And then I was like as I
hit like being an artist and being on radio tour,

it's just like right back to that of like walking
into a radio station. Ye me, me, myself and an
acoustic guitar and like having to win over the trap
was there?

Right, that's awesome. And when did you get tall?
Speaker 2 (06:40):
Honestly, I don't I'm six four now. It's intimidating being
on stage with you. I'm gonna be honest. I wouldn't
say it's intimidating.

I will, but I did appreciate the last performance you
did with us, whether it's it was intentional or not.
You sort of were crouched down singing, and I was
trying to stand up as tall as.

I could at all eye level to my shoes. It
was a crouch. It was more like just a rock. Yeah.
Was there a moment when you thought you would go
into like Christian music at all or was it kind
of like you felt like country was always kind of
the lane growing up in that. I'm curious because that
was similar for us, Like we had a moment there.
I saw somebody pulled up a video of us being like.

we are, We're only doing Christian music for the rest

Was there a time where you're like, I think I'm

I've always felt like it'd be comfortable for me.

Yeah, I did always feel like that. But I toured
with Chris Tomlin. I was, yeah, it was a guitar

sang solo. And watching WrestleMania is one of the greatest things.

and again. And then by youth group, I was like
leading worship with the band every Wednesday, every Sunday, and

was just me though, you know, like solo acoustic leading
worship and stuff. And then I was like as I
hit like being an artist and being on radio tour,

it's just like right back to that of like walking
into a radio station. Ye me, me, myself and an
acoustic guitar and like having to win over the trap
was there?

Right, that's awesome. And when did you get tall?

Honestly, I don't I'm six four now. It's intimidating being
on stage with you. I'm gonna be honest. I wouldn't
say it's intimidating.

did with us, whether it's it was intentional or not.

trying to stand up as tall as.

You know, they think one too is the Backstreet? Which
one has the one? I can't remember which Ice October.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
I'm just saying he's gonna call Ghostbusters and they could
be like bump bump, bump bump in the outfits and
they have like album changes, have a whole.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
Dance routine that people would go off and it'd be
like be perfect season.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
People like, dude, they just did this epic Halloween themed
mommy son dance.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
She said, mommy, she said, mommy, she said mommy. The
question is does he Okay? But good luck guys.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
Conounced, congrats, rats all right, and now we have this
more important business to get to, which is that we're
gonna do a dramatic reading today.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
So yeah, we are of dramatic reading. Yeah, we are.
Because your first concert was by disband, correct, yes, yeah.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Just moved to Nashville. Yeah, and my cousin and her
all her cute friends were going. So I was like, yeah,
I'll buy a lawn ticket for twenty five dollars.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Love it. I love a lawn seat. Had to for
your first concert was what, don't lie? Don't try to
be cool?
Speaker 2 (22:30):
My first concert, like real concert or like they're like
one of the parents a real concert.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
I think it was probably no, you bought a ticket?
You like you.
Speaker 2 (22:38):
We went to m XPX. It was pretty cool and
we told our parents's totally Christian. I was just about
to say, Kevin, Kevin did this. This is a true story.
Kevin and I we used to be pretty badass. We
would wear some jean jackets and go in the mosh pit.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
I was always like on the corner, like watching this stuff.
We would go to like these punk rock shows in
New Jersey in a basement somewhere, and Kevin was a
gym gymnast growing up, and he would be pretty athletic
in the pit and this he would do backflips. He
would backwards handsprings, do a little flippy flop and he
get this, this is eyewitnessed. He kicked a guy in
(23:14):
the nuts on the way back, and the guy was like,
and I was like, he's gonna beat Kevin's ass, and
he looks at Kevin.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
He's like, it's all good. It's all good. And I
was like, that's good. Kevin proceeded later on, like an
hour later, to kick the same guy in the balls
again doing the backflip. Is this true story?
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Guy by the way, And I was like, he's gonna
kick he has to kick his ass now. He still
was and even Kevin was like, he's gonna kick my ass.
And then I looked at him like it's good, bro.
I mean two times in the nuts, two times games. Okay.
So that was a great show. A dramatic reading for everyone.
