Speaker 1 (00:05):
Okay, so first and foremost, rest in peace to a
real one.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Dolly Parton, we lost the gym.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
And I tell you what, there's very, I can't think
of any other time in my life where you could
look at a white woman and be like, yeah, no notes.
I mean- Yeah, I don't know. Anybody got any notes? Like,
the black delegation's good.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
We're good. Anybody else? You guys good?
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Like, you know, so rest in peace to a real
one there. Now, now that that's out the way, I
just want to roast the fuck out of this dude.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Tap in with me.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
All right, so you may or may not know, like,
you know, bless your soul if you don't know that
two just, like, not even mid-NBA players, like, I can't
even call you mid-NBA players, decided they wanted to take
on the... to just try to prove a point with
(01:20):
the WNBA. And what they were going to do is...
declare themselves being eligible for the draft into the WNBA
as whole ass men saying, I identify as women. So
you have to do this. Now, here's the thing. First
of all, Sit your dumb ass down somewhere. First of all,
(01:44):
it's just stupid. Let me just put my cards on
the table. This is just lame. Let me set aside
whatever your.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
It's just lame.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
I feel like what's lost from the game is DPs,
which is street LA stuff for discipline. There's a few
things that... the Gen X and toxic masculinity got right,
which is we would just roast you if you just
did lame shit.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
This is lame.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Like, I just, I don't know. I just like, bro,
what is you doing? So first of all, your point
is stupid. And the last thing I'm gonna say about this,
cause I brought my home girls here to light y'all up.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
Okay. Cause again, like I said, or I haven't said yet,
but I just.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Feel like rule number one is just, uh, Stay out
of business that ain't got nothing to do.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
This ain't your business, number one.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
And number two, if it's something you don't agree with,
don't understand, if you can't at least, at the very least,
acknowledge what already exists, which is the existence of trans people.
If you can't even acknowledge that they around, they exist,
(03:08):
And have rights. If you can't even acknowledge that, then
the least you could do is just shut the fuck up.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Just like... I mean, I feel like that's the least
you could do.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
And speaking of shutting the fuck up, that's what I'm
finna do. I'm finna pass the mic. I got two
of the homies here.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
I got.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
One of them is a bonafide baller with the receipts.
The homegirl, Sophie Lichterman. You know what I'm saying? The
leader of the whole squad.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Right?
Speaker 1 (03:34):
And, listen, you didn't... You done crossed the wrong lady
right here with the homie Mia Long.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
See, here's the thing. Mia Wong. Mia Long. You know
what I thought of? I thought of Mia Long.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Because her script is so long.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Because I'm black.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
That's so funny.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Because I'm black. I thought Mia Long, not Mia Wong. Anyway,
love Jones.
Speaker 2 (03:55):
Look it up. So, who is... This... Let me just
let y'all cook. I'm going to let them cook. I'm
going to let y'all cook. Roast this nigga right now.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
I just want to set the scene.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Enes Kanter Freedom.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Boy's name is Freedom.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (04:20):
This was Sunday, August 23rd. He went to Wintrust Arena
with a t-shirt. first of all this dude is like
6'10 and he sticks out and his shirt read woman
noun adult human female got it thanks so cool and
(04:47):
then he tried to start something and got kicked out
of the arena and Tasha held it down.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
And which so whose convention was this.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
This is the Skies. This is the Chicago Skies. Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
So it's the Skies.
Speaker 4 (05:07):
It was a fever.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Oh, I thought you were talking about the old school story. Yeah,
so he shows up at their game.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
He shows up at the Fever Sky game under the,
you know, he's doing the grift of the month because
that's who he is.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Like, listen.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
Listen, this man is an attention-seeking nobody. He is uninteresting,
not even good at basketball. I'll let Mia go back
into his backstory a little bit. I just want to
talk for one second because this fool was at the
(05:40):
2024 RNC.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
That's what I was asking about.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
That's what I thought.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
But wait, before you get to that, before you get
to that, I'm just saying again, in the most toxic
masculine things I can.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Muster, I don't know how hard you.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
I don't know how, like, how G you think it
is for you to throw your hands up at a
WNBA game.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
Why are you bothering women in their workplace?
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Why are you bothering the girls at their game? At
their job.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
At their job.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Bro, at their job. That's the most losers.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Like, I'm supposed to be impressed with you that you.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Stood up to five foot four? Like, bro, what is
you doing?
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Anyway.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Okay, let me step back.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
He's a bum.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
I'm going to shut up.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
He's a bum.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
But, like, this is what he does. Like, cause he,
there's his own, his own country doesn't even want him.
Like he's such a fucking loser.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Um, RNC.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
I was at, he was at the, you know what?
We'll get to the RNC at the end. Mia, give
us a little history on this, on this guy.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
I just want, he's, cook this food.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
Go ahead, Mia.
Speaker 3 (06:46):
Go ahead. So, okay, okay. One, I did not realize
that he was the number three overall pick in the
2011 draft. Yeah. Which is like, it is!
Speaker 1 (06:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
To be this, like, Calling him mid, as Propel said earlier,
calling him mid is a compliment.
Speaker 4 (07:08):
He's not good.
Speaker 3 (07:09):
To be this, like, not good at, to be bad
enough at a sport that you are on, like, the
anti-trans grift thing, which, like, all the people in this are, like,
you know, people who got, like, fifth at, like, yeah. They're, like,
the most washed up people you can imagine. Participation trophy
ass people. Headass people.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Shannon Sharp even said, like, look, you could be messy
if you was putting up numbers.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
But, like, you're not putting up numbers.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
This is the same thing with Sophie Cunningham. We started
this whole fucking thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Honestly, somehow worse.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Than he is. She's terrible.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
Awful.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Not even good.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
She put up. I did a full episode on her
on my show. It could happen here. That'll be coming
out or later. Have been out.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Have been out, yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
I need to say this again, which is that she
played a game where she was in for 17 minutes
and she had a plus minus of negative 28, which
is like not possible. How were you in for 17 minutes?
The other team scores 28 more points than your team does. 28!
Speaker 5 (08:14):
I know!
Speaker 3 (08:17):
Unbelievable! One of the worst performances, genuinely, in the history
of the WNBA. And she started this, like, whole anti-trans
panic thing. But that's not about her. We should talk
about Dennis Cantor Freedom, whose name is so cringe, and
whose entire... Okay, so... I had like heard for a
(08:39):
long time. I'm reading all of these sports journalists who
are supposed to be like the smart ones being like, oh,
I like thought he had a soul or something because
I talked to him about like his persecution by the
Turkish government. And like I had never looked that closely
into him other than like being aware of him as
just being like this guy in the right wing grift
sphere for ages. Oh, boy.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Oh, boy.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
You pissed off the wrong motherfucker. You were forced to, like,
piss off. You pissed off a basketball person, like, one
of the few who actually knows Turkish politics. My, like,
origin story was, like, some people I knew on Twitter
were getting the shit beaten out of them by the
(09:22):
Turkish government. That was, like, my origin story. I'm, like, 15. Like,
trying to overthrow the government of Turkey. So, like, the
thing I really did not understand before, like, I actually
really started looking into him. So, okay, as you mentioned before,
Cantor's family is Turkish, right?
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
And this is of incredible importance because his entire fucking
bit is that he's, like, a human rights activist. He's, like,
a guy who fights for freedom against, like, authoritarian governments, right?
Speaker 5 (09:51):
Okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
So.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
All right, let's talk about how this came to be,
which is that his family... are followers of, and I
genuinely can't believe that I'm explaining who these people are
in an episode that's nominally about a basketball player.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
I love it. I love it.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
His family were disciples, followers of members of the political movement.
Fethullah Gulen, who, Gulen is one of the kind of, like,
long-range figures in Turkish politics, who's been extremely important for
a very long time. Mm-hmm. But the thing about him, right,
(10:37):
and this is really important because Cantor's entire bit is
that he is being repressed by Erdogan's fascist government, right?
Speaker 1 (10:45):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
Now, the thing about Gulen, Gulen is a Turkish religious
and political leader who, you know, he has an extremely
large and powerful movement. We're going to talk about that
more in a second. The thing about him is that
he was very close allies for a long time and
helped with the rise of enemy of the show, Reza
(11:06):
Tayyip Erdogan. Who is the fascist dictator of Turkey who
has ruled the country with an iron fist for decades. Okay.
Gulen was his ally. He put him in power. He's
like one of the guys who helped him come to
power and helped him maintain his institutional stability and helped
him remake Turkey in his fascist image.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
And, you know, so Gulen has, he was extremely powerful
in Turkey, right? In like the 2000s and 2010s. Okay. He,
you know, my joke about it is that Turkey is
like the only place where the deep state is real
and they had two of them.
Speaker 2 (11:50):
Deep state is real and they got two of them.
Speaker 3 (11:52):
So one of the deep states, I guess, is, and
this is kind of where like, insofar as the term
deep state has ever meant anything, it was in the
Turkish context. We're like, so on the one hand, you
have the military and the military for a long time.
If anyone got too out of line by their standards,
they would just do a military coup. So any point
when you're like the president of Turkey, right? You have
(12:14):
this constant booming threat of the military in the coup.
The second one is Gulen's network because his followers are
all over the Turkish government. They're all over the Turkish
school system where they're like particularly powerful people. And they
were kind of, like, the second– they were, like, the
second network to the point where, like, I went to
college with a kid from Turkey who was, like, you know,
(12:34):
talking about the crackdowns that were going to happen. She
was like, yeah, the crackdowns were, like, messed up. But also, like,
these people would, like, you know, like, Gulenist leaders would just, like,
have copies of all of the answers of, like, state exam.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Tests, and you could just get them from them if
you were, like, part of the movement. It was, like,
stuff like that, right? Just on, like, a day-to-day level.
This is, like.
One of the most powerful factions of the Turkish state
that just exists as this network that was, like, embedded
into it, right? And Erdogan, like, also screams about this now. But, like,
(13:11):
these two groups were working together, right? Like, they were
working hand in hand to, like, turn Turkey into modern Turkey,
which is this incredibly authoritarian, repressive state. But, comma. After
Erdogan kind of like fully consolidates power, him and Gulen
have like this series of splits. Okay. Where like Gulen
(13:33):
now lives in like Virginia. And there's been this whole
thing since– even since like the first Trump administration where
Erdogan's been trying to get him extradited. from the US
and he's had like different politicians whose job was it
was to like try to do like Michael Flynn if
people remember him one of.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
His things was like trying to.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Get him trying to get Goulart extradited Oh, man. I
promise we'll be done with the Turkish history lesson in
a second.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
There's a very important moment in 2016 where there is
the weirdest coup I have ever seen. Still to this day,
the weirdest coup I've ever seen, including the Russian mercenary
attempted coup in 2023, 2024. I'm blanking on when that was.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
There's this coup in Turkey that is nominally a military coup,
but it just fails immediately. The military has Erdogan. They
know what jet he's on, but they refuse to shoot
him down. It's all really, really weird. Okay. Yeah. Baffling.
(14:56):
Extremely weird coup. This is, by the way, this is 2016.
So this is three years after the 2013 protest, which
is this massive popular uprising against Erdogan. the Turkish government,
which was suppressed with like, you know, like just unbelievable
police oppression. It's also like, I think two years after
they firebombed a bunch of Kurdish regions in, in Eastern Turkey,
(15:19):
which was a whole nightmare. Um, I mean, they're like
burning city councils hiding in their basements alive with firebombs. Yeah.
And this is like 2014, right? So this is after
Erdogan came to power, but also the Gulenists had put
him there, right? And in this coup, Erdogan, after the coup,
(15:43):
Erdogan basically uses this as his opportunity to both purge
the military deep state and also purge all the Gulenists. And,
you know, and so he does, right? He goes through, he, like, he, like,
rids the entire, you know, state. Like, he just goes
through and, like, has these massive show trials of people
who he, like, thinks are Gulenists, right? And there's a
(16:04):
lot of speculation that Erdogan, like, staged this coup himself.
I genuinely don't know. It was one of the weirdest
coups I've ever seen.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
It's bizarre, yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Yeah, it was baffling. But this is where the whole, like, Cantor, like,
I was repressed by the Turkish government thing came from.
Which is, like, his dad was arrested for, like, being
in the Gulenist network. And then the Turkish government, like,
puts out a warrant for Cantor himself. Because Cantor is also...
(16:33):
A massive, massive Gulen supporter.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
But the thing about this, right, is, okay, so there
is like some political repression going on here in the
sense that like, yeah, there's like a warrant out for
his arrest. There's been, there's a couple of like dramatic
stories about him, other countries trying to extradite him to Turkey.
But here's the thing about this, right? If your whole
(16:58):
bit is being a human rights guy and, like, being
politically persecuted and, like, speaking for the oppressed, if this
is your whole bit and you are a Gulenist... Yeah. Like,
to borrow Cantor's own metaphor, because Cantor very famously describes, like,
says that Erdogan is Hitler, right?
Speaker 2 (17:19):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Now... Okay. To borrow his own Nazi metaphor, right, if...
If your whole bit is being a political activist who
got purged for being a gulenist, right? This is like
getting purged by the Nazis during the Night of Long
Knives for being an essay follower of Ernst Romm.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
This is like, you put these people in power.
Speaker 3 (17:42):
This is your fault. These were your allies. And yeah,
they turned on you eventually, but it's like.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Fuck off. You put these people in power.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
You are the one who let these people just burn
children alive with firebombs. You don't get shit for sympathy
from me.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
Yeah. No. Fuck off.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
There's a little bit of reality in the sense that
the fact that American.
Understanding of geopolitics is so paper thin that, you know,
we have, Erdogan is a, is a flat character to us.
Like we don't like, we don't understand that that person
(18:24):
does person exist in context. Um, there is, there's multiple
things happening on the ground. So if you come to
America and you're just like, Oh, I'm, I'm being.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Repressed by Erdogan. We already decided, you know what I'm saying?
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Without any context or, or complications that that's the bad guy.
So you can sell that to Americans. It's like, oh, yeah,
he's being repressed. You know what I'm saying? So he's
playing against our own ignorances.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
And especially if this is the thing I've been really
pissed off about, because this is happening again with trans people. Right.
But the, like of, of all, of all journalists, right.
Sports reporters are the people who know the least about
any of that shit.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
And this is, this is like Cantor's, the thing Cantor
really successfully figured out is that you can tell sports,
sports journalists don't know anything. You can tell them whatever
you want.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
This has been a real problem with Saudi Arabia too,
where like, Even good media coverage of like Saudi sports washing.
They don't understand what Saudi Arabia was trying to sports wash.
It's not their own domestic human rights record. It's the
fact that they were deploying Sudanese child soldiers to do
a genocide in Yemen.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yeah, there's this. So much more happening. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:36):
It's this really frustrating thing, too, because suddenly you have
all of these sports reporters who are like, oh, I
have to like talk about trans stuff. And I have
no idea what's going on. Like, I've never met a
trans person. I don't know what any of this stuff is.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
And what's up?
Speaker 1 (19:50):
Is like I'm sorry to cut you off but like
the reality is like everything you explained I'm still going what.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
The fuck does this have to do with trans people.
Speaker 1 (20:00):
Like what are you talking about I can answer.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
I can answer that in a very simple way Okay.
This dude has failed at everything. He's failed at everything.
And so he's just like, okay. He's doing the Trump.
Speaker 5 (20:26):
He's doing the like, well, I got my three talking
points that I know will get attention. And he's picked
up on that. He does not care about women's rights.
Speaker 2 (20:38):
He don't care about basketball.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
He don't care about basketball.
Speaker 5 (20:41):
He doesn't care about the WNBA. He doesn't care about girls.
He doesn't care about trans people. He doesn't care about
any of that.
Speaker 4 (20:49):
He cares about him. He cares about his own, own.
He's the most pick me ass bitch. Literally. He is
a pick me ass bitch.
Speaker 1 (21:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:00):
And he is extremely uninteresting.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:04):
Um, literally not even good at sports, and quote from
his own motherfucking website. And in spite of his advocacy,
the NBA traded freedom from the Boston Celtics to the
Houston Rockets in February 2022, only to be released by
the Rockets just three minutes later.
Speaker 4 (21:24):
You got released. He never played again. He never played again.
Speaker 5 (21:30):
Listen, there's a lot of dudes in the NBA with
bad politics.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
And they're still playing. Hello, Kyrie Irving.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
That's what I'm trying to say. That's what I mean
by you could be weird. You could be weird.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
You could have bad politics. You can say stupid things
about China. Hello, LeBron James. You could say like there's
all these things.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
You could go after the league. You could go after
the league.
Speaker 5 (21:55):
But you're just not good. You were just not good
at basketball. That's why you're not in the league.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
And he had.
Speaker 5 (22:03):
The benefit of being like almost seven feet tall and
not good enough to be in the league.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Still bad.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Still trash, homie.
Speaker 5 (22:13):
But when I say he's a pick me ass bitch. Okay,
back to the, now I'm going to talk about the
2024 RNC.
Speaker 2 (22:17):
Yeah, and don't lose your place, Mia. But yeah, go
back to this.
Speaker 5 (22:21):
Don't lose your place, Mia. But I got to talk
about this. He, okay, we're at the arena in Milwaukee.
He was walking around. Also, motherfucker is almost seven feet tall,
sticks out. Just like looking around, trying to see if
somebody would pay attention to him. It was so pathetic.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
It was so desperate.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
You at the RSC, they like, hey, who's he again?
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Nobody cared.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Basketball, I don't really watch basketball.
Speaker 4 (22:49):
I must have walked by this dude once.
Speaker 5 (22:52):
No less than like seven times did not, did not like,
and I knew, and it's like, I watched basketball and
I'm like.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
Who's this weird fucking guy?
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah, you in the wrong room, Brad. Don't nobody care
about the NBA over there, homie.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
No, so he even failed at that.
Speaker 5 (23:09):
But my point is, as somebody who attended the 2024 RNC,
he heard the talking points. He heard the, we're gonna
take boys out of women's sports.
Speaker 4 (23:20):
We're gonna take grown men out of women's sports. Like,
shut the fuck up. Nobody's trying to do that. You're stupid.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
You're stupid. Big Doug, you think, okay.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
You think ain't nobody thought of this yet? That, like, we've...
That women's sports have existed. You think we ain't thought about, like...
Have you ever seen the Olympics?
Speaker 3 (23:39):
Not a single one of.
Speaker 5 (23:40):
These people has cared about women's sports or girls' sports ever.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
Period.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
And I'm like, what you so.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Why you all of a sudden concerned about they laws? Like,
what is you talking about? And finally, again, Mia, don't
lose your place.
Speaker 4 (23:53):
Mia, don't lose your place.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Ain't no definition of man in the NBA. Because... Because
what you're.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Doing is stupid. Like, you're not proving nobody's point. Anyway.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
Mia.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Mia, cook.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
Yeah, well, so I want to go back to a
little bit of an early, like, the moment Sophie was
talking about where, like, he washes out of the league.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
And he has this whole thing about, like, ah, I'm
being persecuted for my, like, political things. So this is specifically, what, like,
I don't know if it's, I guess it is kind
of the second grift he latched onto after the initial like, oh,
I'm being persecuted by the Turkish government that my organization
helped put in power. Wow. Thing was he pivoted to
(24:39):
this like anti-CCP grift. And I'm particularly pissed off about
this because he has now picked two governments that are
like my mortal enemies.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
I know.
Speaker 3 (24:51):
To find a way to oppose that sucks.
Speaker 1 (24:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
It's like, come on!
Speaker 5 (24:58):
Like.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
So, okay, so he becomes like this, like... Oh, God.
He becomes extremely concerned about the Uyghur genocide, which I
will give that it is actually... not likely but possible
he kind of cares about that from like a Turkish
nationalist standpoint because that is kind of like sometimes that's
(25:23):
like a Turkish ultra-nationalist.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
Thing yeah I was like okay that's kind of they
can't folk but yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
Yeah but it's also like you know but you can
also see he picks up like Tibet he picks up
like he starts doing stuff with like Taiwan and Hong
Kong and he's like and so just like.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
Immediately things he actually knows nothing about but he's just
trying to be the he's trying to be the again
trying to be the loudest person in the.
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Room Yeah, and the other thing there too is there's
this ecosystem there of, you know, there's this like right-wing
anti-CCP ecosystem that you can just plug into immediately. And he,
oh boy, has his like desperation for attention gotten him
(26:05):
to some places. Now, I need you two both to
look at this picture I am about to post into
the chat.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
Oh, let's go.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
I'm excited. So excited right now. He looks so stupid.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
Look at his hairline.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Bro, what's wrong with your damn hairline, homie? Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
I mean... Bro, what is you doing? He looks really stupid.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Listen, I'm never... Look, look.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
I be trying not to shame people for their physical appearances,
but sometimes they be asking for it.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Like, you gotta ask for it.
Speaker 4 (26:42):
That hairline was a choice.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Bro, whose hair you got on?
Speaker 4 (26:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (26:48):
That was not something that you.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
Baby, you're born with this. No, that was a choice.
Speaker 3 (26:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Fam, you wouldn't have found that.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
Yeah. It's unbelievable.
Speaker 5 (26:58):
Like, you.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Like, you know, even though you were a bad NBA player, like,
being a bad NBA player and being in there for, like,
a decade gives you enough money to, like, hire a barber. Like, I...
I know you can afford this. Cook. So.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
You've been around that many black men and ain't nobody
stopped you and said, let me line you up real quick, homie.
Speaker 2 (27:20):
Like, nah, fam.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
No, because they don't fuck with him.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
Because like, yeah, exactly. That's what I'm trying to say.
That's evidence. Because look, look, have.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
Y'all seen Luigi Mangione at his trial? You see how
clean his taper fade is?
Speaker 3 (27:36):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
That means we mess with him. That means you good
with us. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Hilarious.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Anyway.
Speaker 3 (27:44):
But instead, it means that he's just... He will go
in with anyone who will take him. Yeah, exactly. And
this means that.
In terms of anti-CCP stuff, there is a group who
will take literally anyone, no qualifications, as long as you're
willing to show up to their terrible rallies and wear
(28:04):
their hideous shirts. And that is the Falun Gong, which
I also did not expect to be explaining the Falun Gong.
So this picture we've been talking about, the reason I
bring it up, A, is to clown on him, but B...
It's because, so this is a picture of him this July.
This is from like a July 23rd rally at like
(28:25):
supposedly at like the Lincoln Memorial that had like a
few people at it. That was like a Falun Gong rally.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
Mind you, this dude was protesting in 2020 at the
George Floyd murder protests, like wearing a mask.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Anything for attention.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
Anything for attention.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
I don't think he believes in anything.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
No.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
He believes in him having attention and money. Yeah. And
you can tell this, the Falun Gong for people who
didn't grow up with them, just randomly running around, running
into them at any random Chinese community event, they'll just
have people there for some reason. I mean, for recruitment, obviously.
So the Falun Gong are this very, very right-wing, very
(29:18):
weird cult who the CCP decided to repress in the
90s and have still been repressing. They are the people
who do Shen Yu.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
I was going to say, they're the people that do
the little show.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yo, okay, listen.
Speaker 3 (29:31):
Okay, listen, hood politics.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Okay, listen.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Every grocery store, liquor store, every corner store you see,
and you see it poster for the Chinese.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Like, acrobats and shit. It's a fucking cult, y'all. Like, yes.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Dog, it's the most bizarre. Yeah, it's a cult, homie. Like,
it's crazy. Anyway, go on.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
And they also, like, helped Trump get elected. So they
also run this newspaper called the Epoch Times.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
Yes, they do. Yes, they do.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
And, like, that's, oh, my God. It's, they're, like, yeah. But, like,
they were, like, the origin of a whole bunch of, like,
unhinged COVID stuff, too.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
Like, they're one of the two groups that, like, cooked
up the whole, like, China manufactured COVID in a lab thing.
That was them.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
But, you know, they're also, like, huge Trump supporters. And
he's just, like, showing, like, this was, like, you know,
and this, I think, gets to, like, yeah, why he's
doing this. Because this is what he was doing last month. Right.
Speaking at a Falun Gong event is the most washed
you can possibly be.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Yeah. Because I'm just like you find this stuff that
ain't got nothing to do with you. And it is
none of your business and really don't help the movement.
Speaker 3 (30:58):
This is like the Chinese equivalent of like, that's honestly
being unfair to like street preachers. But like that's the
level of platform you are operating at if you are
speaking at following Gong events.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
So this guy has a pattern of bouncing from.
Speaker 4 (31:16):
Grift to grift to grift to grift. And the latest
one is.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
This is just the new one.
Speaker 5 (31:23):
It's just the new one. It's just the new one.
Shout out to Tasha Cloud.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
Who wasn't having it.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
Fun to watch, first of all.
Speaker 2 (31:37):
Chicago Sky, great. And it's hooping.
Speaker 1 (31:42):
And.
Speaker 4 (31:44):
This dude literally doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (31:47):
I'm glad that he's not allowed to ever go to
another Chicago Sky game in that arena. I'm glad the
WNBA came out like, no, this dude cannot be in
our league.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
That's like, whatever.
Speaker 5 (31:59):
The WNBA management doesn't do a great job, period.
Speaker 4 (32:05):
They're not very good. They don't say the right things.
Speaker 5 (32:08):
They don't do the right things. So I'm not going
to give them any credit here.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
This is not a tape recording saying we support.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
No, but I will.
Speaker 5 (32:19):
But I will give credit to the Chicago Sky players
for backing up their teammate. Absolutely. And they should have
thrown that. They should have thrown that dude out the
second he walked into the area. He should not have
been allowed because obviously he was not there to participate
and enjoy the game.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
Yeah, you're coming to troll in person.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
You're coming to troll in person and make it about you.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
Because if you have attended a WNBA game, especially in
the last couple years, that is a sacred fucking space.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
It is fun as shit.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
First of all, yeah.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
First of all, like you're coming to, again, I'm speaking
as the cisgendered male here. Okay, you come into this
women's game to make.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
It about you. That's bitch shit. Like, number one, right?
Speaker 1 (33:10):
And then, but number two, like, for all of us
who love sports, I feel like the WNBA right now
remind me of, like, just, like, 80s NBA.
Speaker 3 (33:20):
Basketball.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
NBA basketball.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
Basketball.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Like, there are goons out there. Like, them girls is
bruising each other, right? It's super exciting to watch.
Speaker 4 (33:30):
It's super fun.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
It's physical. Like, they're hooping right now. Like, y'all tripping.
Speaker 5 (33:36):
I mean, like, I went to a Wings fire game
this year, and it was one of the best nights ever.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Seriously.
Speaker 4 (33:46):
It was so fun. And it was Pride Night.
Speaker 2 (33:49):
It was dope.
Speaker 4 (33:51):
It was great.
Speaker 5 (33:52):
The kiss cam was so cute. They had this, like, very-
It's so precious.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
This elder queer couple kiss. It was so cute. And
you know what? Nobody gave a fuck about this bullshit.
Speaker 3 (34:05):
Nobody cares, dude.
Speaker 4 (34:07):
Nobody cares.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
You know how ignorant and stupid and useless you have
to be to have, like.
Speaker 4 (34:14):
The barstool dudes being like, hey, that was.
Speaker 5 (34:17):
Not the move.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Even the barstool dudes are like, bro, what is you doing?
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Like, literally, like, and to be honest, I wish more
NBA players came out.
Speaker 4 (34:27):
There's been some being like.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
There's been a few that were like. Dude, that's, you're
a weirdo.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
It's weirdo.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
It's just weird.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
At the end of the day, that's what it is.
At the end of the day, it's just, you're a weirdo. Like,
why are you doing this? And then back to even
to the funnest of the WNBA right now, I'm just like, yo,
y'all remember when like we used to watch, you watched
the NBA and you knew like them dudes don't like
each other. Like they really truly don't like each other.
It's like, that's the way that WNBA looks like. They
(34:55):
don't like each other. Like they really like, I'm trying
to embarrass you. It's like real competitive. Like it's fun.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
It's fun. It's like, and like everybody, like the games
are sold out.
Speaker 2 (35:09):
There's a vibe.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
It's great.
Speaker 5 (35:12):
And for this embarrassing looking hairline ass dude to come
in and and try to make it about him.
Speaker 4 (35:19):
Is bitch assness. It's bitch assness.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
At the end of the day.
Speaker 4 (35:23):
Like, nobody cares about you. You're stupid. Trans rights. Fuck you.
That's all I got to say.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
You know what? Yes.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
And I'm like, just, yeah, I ain't got nothing to
add to it except for just like, just, you like,
stay out they business, man. Like, stay out they, like,
they gonna figure it out.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
Stay out they business.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:46):
Any final thoughts?
Speaker 3 (35:49):
I don't know. I think I'm going to be, I'm
depressed about this whole thing because it's just like, this
was like the one league where you didn't have to
deal with this shit.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
No.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
And like, you know, this was a thing.
Speaker 5 (36:05):
Literally, it is, like I said, like you're going to
a WNBA, it is so trans friendly.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:10):
Everybody there is so cool.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Nobody's tripping. Nobody's tripping.
Speaker 3 (36:15):
Now there's just these mobs of like, there's like these
mobs of like anti-trans protesters outside them that these people
have brought in.
Speaker 5 (36:21):
And it's just like- These weirdos have invaded this space
where it was just normal people going to enjoy a sport.
And by normal people, I mean non-transphobes because that's normal.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Being not- Okay, sorry.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
I was- Yeah, no, you with it.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
No, being like, look, my homeboy DJ Mosky, he was
the DJ for the Sparks for years.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Yeah. I brought my- I brought my family there all
the time, dude. It's like, it's so fun. It's fun.
My daughters. It's just fun. And I'm like.
Speaker 5 (36:49):
The WNBA is for everyone but those fuckers.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
Yeah. It's just sort of this thing where it's like...
It sucks that like trying to, trying to like wipe
trans people out is a thing you can just do
as like a quick grift for just some attention and
some money. And it sucks that it's like, you know,
I remember this, this was a whole thing during 2024
where like you couldn't watch any sport without the moment
(37:16):
it turned to ads. All of the ads were just,
were like Trump's anti-trans stuff. It's just plastered all over
all sports.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
And it just, it sucks so badly that, like, this
was the one. It's really funny because, like, you can
literally see the advertising changing when you're watching a WMEA game, like,
on their thing. And then when it goes to, like,
a different, you know, like, ESPN's broadcasting it, right? Yeah.
(37:45):
You can literally see the advertising changing from, like, we
are marketing to, like, queer women to we are marketing
to cis dudes.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
Yeah. And it's just like, you know, it's just, I
don't know, but.
Speaker 2 (37:55):
It's lame.
Speaker 3 (37:56):
Just having this thing where it's like, oh, great, I
wake up, I go watch the sport that I like,
and it's like, these people hate you, and you're going
to watch all of the journalists who are in this
space not have any idea that, like.
Speaker 5 (38:08):
No.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
Yeah, like, the XXXY sports people are a straight-up hate
group whose thing is... you know, like is trying to,
trying to wipe out trans people like that. That's, that's
what they want to do.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (38:19):
And it's, I don't know. Like it just, it just sucks.
I would like to not be a political football. That
would be amazing. I would like to be able to
live my life, but like, nope, nope, nope.
Speaker 2 (38:31):
Yeah. Whenever you don't, you just live.
Speaker 1 (38:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Let me let, okay.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
So last thoughts, cause this is going to be the
longest tap in we've ever had, which.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
I'm so excited about.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
This is the length of an episode, but it's fine.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (38:43):
Um, So bringing it back to like your joy of
the sport and the league, like who you got, who
you a fan of, who should we be watching?
Speaker 4 (38:55):
I love Paige Becker.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (39:01):
She has amazing handles. She's really fun to watch.
Speaker 5 (39:05):
Yeah. I'm really sad that AZ Phud got.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
Hurt because she was also really fun to watch. She
was just getting started.
Speaker 5 (39:12):
I mean, I think, you know, the MVP will probably
be Asia Wilson again.
Speaker 2 (39:21):
Of course.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
Who is also unbelievably- Transcendent.
Speaker 1 (39:27):
I'd be like, sometimes it'd be worth... Sometimes you earned it.
Where I'm just like, nah.
Speaker 3 (39:32):
She just cold. Like, you look. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
I know it's all kind of media around her, but
she earned it.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (39:39):
Because she cold.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Yeah. I mean.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (39:43):
I mean, it's exciting to see so many, you know,
besides the Lynxes, who are the best team.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
They're just the best team in the league.
Speaker 5 (39:52):
But it's exciting to see, like, it's really close right
under that, you know, the Valkyries out of... The Bay
Area have come up this year, and they're a relatively
new team, which is exciting.
Speaker 4 (40:05):
Aces are still good. Dream are doing well.
Speaker 5 (40:09):
It's funny because the Fever are number five, which is
funny to me because Sophie Cunningham is number five, just
like her little pal, the failed swimmer whose name I
don't care about.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
Oh, homegirl that became in fifth place.
Speaker 5 (40:25):
Yeah, that made her entire personality.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
I lost.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
Yeah, you lost by four other people, fam.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
What was it? Shut your whole ass up.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Hey, shut your dumb ass up.
Speaker 5 (40:43):
Yeah, but the playoffs are going to be real fun
this year.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (40:48):
It's just really like a fun league. It's cool. I mean, like, obviously,
I'm in Portland. They just announced their new mascot this week.
Speaker 4 (40:57):
And she's Rose, the glitter breathing dragon.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Hey, who's the mascot? The elephant that was hella saucy.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
Yo.
Speaker 4 (41:09):
Ellie the elephant.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
She was saucy, boy.
Speaker 5 (41:12):
Ah, ah.
Speaker 4 (41:13):
Yeah, she's in New York.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
Homie was like, yeah, homie was like, do you see homeboy, like,
the clip, the clip that was going around, homie, like, mouth, like,
I'm finna get fired.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
Like. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (41:24):
It's so funny.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (41:26):
But, yeah, like, I guess my final, my final thought,
thought is, dude doesn't matter. Exactly.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Trans lives do.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
Exactly.
Speaker 4 (41:36):
Watch the WNBA.
Speaker 2 (41:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:40):
Go, go watch Olivia miles. Oh my God.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (41:43):
She's so cool. She is my height. Like she's like five,
10 and yet somehow like five, 10 point guard who
like on top of, I don't know, like probably having
an MVP case in, in any, any, like any year
that doesn't have Asia Wilson. Yeah. Like, It's unbelievable. She
(42:05):
has somehow made wearing sports goggles cool.
Speaker 2 (42:08):
She brought them back, dog. She brought them back.
Speaker 3 (42:12):
Sick as hell defense. And also, I mean, just the
stuff that she does with the ball. Like, I can't even, like, hey,
how are you a 5'10 point guard who, like, scores
at the rim a bunch? Like, what is even happening here?
Speaker 5 (42:25):
She has, like, a three-point shot now.
Speaker 3 (42:28):
Like, it's just pure joy to watch her. It's... Like,
just really, truly, you owe it to yourself to go
watch Olivia Miles. She, like, she's a rookie. She's a rookie,
and she was the best player in the best team
in the league. Like, what?
Speaker 2 (42:45):
Just killing it. Just killing it.
Speaker 3 (42:47):
Unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (42:48):
Also, I'm going to give y'all a follow of a
YouTube account and a Instagram account, and it's called How
Hard Could It Be? And what it is is They
ask average men who think they can compete against pro
female athletes to compete with them.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
And then they lose. These women be washing these dudes.
It's the thing.
Speaker 1 (43:14):
It's the argument that we've always had when you're doing yo, yo.
Your uncle is like, man, you know, you give me
six months in the gym. I could probably keep up
with him.
Speaker 2 (43:23):
Like, fam.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
Shut up.
Speaker 2 (43:25):
That's a professional athlete. But yeah, you know what I'm saying?
But like, I'm a man. I'm like, okay. So please,
please go follow that account. How hard can it be?
Speaker 3 (43:36):
So funny.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
It can be very hard.
Speaker 5 (43:38):
Anyways, my plug is listening to James Stout's new podcast,
Natural Causes.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Yup.
Speaker 4 (43:44):
Mia, what do you got?
Speaker 2 (43:45):
What you plugging for me?
Speaker 3 (43:47):
I don't know. It could happen here, the podcast that
I do. We're here every day.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
Every single day?
Speaker 2 (43:54):
There really are.
Speaker 5 (43:55):
Every day.
Speaker 3 (43:55):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (43:56):
You could also- You can also count, I'm going to
give Mia her flowers here. Like, you can always count
on Mia to give you the, like, some just deep cut.
Speaker 4 (44:10):
Mia Moore Wong.
Speaker 2 (44:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
Of just like, yo, I thought I read a few
books on this, but apparently I don't know what the
hell I'm talking about. Like, so you're going to get
some deep cuts from me, and I appreciate the, like,
The context has context, you know, so thank you for that.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
The original version of this script, or like the thing
that I had written out for this, like, I was
going to talk about Kronstadt, like the Kronstadt Rebellion in this,
and I was like, we don't need to do this
on the basketball! Who? Actually, I guess I will, I
guess I will specifically plug the Sophie Cunningham episode that
we did.
Speaker 1 (44:47):
Okay, please.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
Yes, perfect.
Speaker 3 (44:48):
Specifically because I, so.
That episode is me and a trans sports journalist and
a former trans college athlete talking about this. And I
genuinely don't think any other outlet with like literally any
scale at all has just gotten multiple trans people together
to talk about this.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
I love that.
Speaker 5 (45:10):
Correct.
Speaker 3 (45:10):
So I don't know. I'm doing it myself because.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
No one else will.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
We might at some point throw that one into the feed,
into our feed too, because like that sounds like a gem. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (45:19):
Yep.
Speaker 4 (45:20):
All right, then, guys.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
All right, y'all.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
All right, well, that's the longest tap-in ever, but you
know what? Sometimes you need it.
Speaker 4 (45:27):
Sometimes you have a lot to say.
Speaker 1 (45:28):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
Bye.
Speaker 3 (45:31):
Bye.
