Speaker 1 (00:47):
That's insane.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
What's crazy is I graduated high school in nineteen ninety seven,
So if I'd have went to Winston Salem right out
of high school, I would have been part of that
freshman class. But my freshman class was two thousand. But
I share all that before because that's the reason I
missed the super Bowl of podcasting, the Black Effect Podcast Festival.

popped out with the green goblin leather short set with
the Travis Scotts.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
On the feet. But I ain't no Envy. I ain't
have no neck. He was just all head and shoulders
like shampoo.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
And I know he got the sweat in that leather suit,
probably turned into a crab ball in his crotch and
bit shout to the boss. Lady Dolly Bishop in all
white looking godly, pushing all the buttons.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I'm so happy to be part of the Black Effect

Speaker 1 (01:58):
I saw my girl Tam Bam in the g this morning.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
She' the co host of the podcast we talked back
on Black Effect Podcast Network, and she missed the Super
Bowl of Podcasting too this year, but we both made
a pack. We'll be damned if we missed the super
Bowl of podcasting, the Black Effect Podcast Festival in twenty
twenty seven. You can bet money on that on your
local bookie. I don't give a dance, however, I digress.
(02:21):
I have responsibilities. I also went to the movie, y'all.
I seen the Michael Jackson movie. Amazing film. And if
you didn't like it, I don't know what you were expecting.
Were you expecting to learn more about Michael Jackson. We
know everything about this man down there. He was an
open book. But that boy, Jafar Jackson, his nephew, he
played that part every recreated scene little jail like Mike
(02:44):
before they shot to beat the video. They showed them
in there talking to the gangsters while the crips and
the bloods was doing their dances and talking junk to
each other. And I ain't gonna cap I did learn
some things.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
That pepsi commercial was so instrumental, Like Mike can't want
to do that pepsi commercial.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Mike can't even drink pep see.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
But when he got his head burned to the scalp,
now he got to start wearing the wigs. Now he
gets addicted to the drugs that damn don king only
in America. And in the spirit of the Michael Jackson
movie that I saw for twenty twenty six, this episode's
three useless Facts is about the nineteen ninety two version
and American Dream. I was in seventh grade. Y'all remember
(03:23):
it was a five hour, two part TV series. It
premiered on that Sunday, and then they made us wait
till Wednesday to watch the damn second part that drew
forty million viewers in nineteen ninety two, Jack and here
go three useless facts about it up. First, we all
loved Jason Weaver as young Mike. But did you know
that Michael Jackson himself chose Jason Weaver to portray him.
(03:46):
Jason won but twelve years old, and he sang all
the songs himself.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Your second useless fact.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
While they were shooting the docu series, Jason Weaver up
there performing Janet, Jackson and Park came to visit the
set they were shooting Poetic Justice and your third useless facts,
there was one scene in the movie where Jason Weaver
had to sing live because they had technical difficulties with
the playback. The way God works. On that exact day,
(04:13):
Elton John was visiting the set. He watching Jason Weaver
sing Live Going Crazy, and he selected Jason Weaver at
that spot to be the singing voice of young Symbol
in the Lion King. Those have been your three useless
facts about the nineteen ninety two Bidio pick about Michael Jackson,
the Jacksons, and American Dream. That drum was amazing. Now
(04:35):
for today's episode, did you know that Tupac might be
buried in North Carolina? Because I didn't.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
I didn't know. I didn't know. I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (04:49):
I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
I didn't know. I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Okay, no, wait to not be too misleading. We all
know pop were cremated, and it's all types of common
conversations and theories about what happened with his ashes. Hell
The outlaw said they put it in a switcher, sweet
and smoked, and that very well could be true. They
could have got a couple of his ashes and put
it in a blunt. But they say his mama, a Phoenishakor,
she kept the ashes and a phoenix. Shakur lived in
(05:16):
a little town in North Carolina called Lumberton. And you
know it beat them little towns to like we always
think the biggest stories to come out of.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Big cities like New York, La, Atlanta.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Nah Man them little cities, the ones you drive past
and don't even think twice about. There were magic be
made at Lumberton, North Carolina, small town about twenty thousand people,
right off our ninety five. Now it's rumored that some
of Tupac's ashes might be buried on land that will
connected to his mom, a Phoenix Shakur, who was from
(05:47):
that area.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Now, is it confirmed?
Speaker 2 (05:49):
No, A Feenie never came out and say I buried
my baby in the backyard.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
But is it possible? Maybe?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
And you know damn well that maybe is all it
takes for a story to live forever. Hell, this folk
to think may be Tupac live in Costa Rica. But
when you talk about that little town of Lumberton, we
can switch from hip hop to sports. Back in nineteen
ninety three, James Jordan, you know that name that with
Michael Jordan Daddy. He was robbed and murdered right there
by Lumberton. Her body was found in Robinson County, that's
(06:17):
right there beside Lumberton. Now that ain't a rumor, that's
real life. Lumberton then had high crime rates for years,
And when you connect the dots, not on conspiracy, but
just proximity, you start to see something. Some places carry
stories heavier than others, not because they're cursed, but because
of history, economics, the location, and sometimes just being in
(06:39):
the wrong damn place at the wrong damn time. And
Lumberton sit on a major highway. Folks passed through it
all the time, and sometimes so the problems.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
So beware of them.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Little towns like Lumberton, North Carolina, where Tupac might be
buried at, which is right beside Roberson County, where Michael
Jordan's father was found.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
And I didn't know. Maybe you didn't either, I didn't know.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
No dog
