Minutes, President Trump is suspending the bombing of Iran for
two weeks. In a post tonight, Trump canseled his eight
pm Eastern time deadline for Iran to make a deal
or face a new attack, and announced a two weeks
cease fire. This comes after Pakistan forward to Trump a
ten point peace proposal from Iran that Trump called a
workable basis on which to negotiate. Trump said the agreement

safe reopening of the Strait of her Moves. Iran's foreign

strait for the next two weeks. Pope Leo is condemning
President Trump's warning to Iran as unacceptable. Jim Roup has details.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Trump had written online that an entire civilization could die
if Iran rejected a deal to reopen the Straight of
Four Moose. Speaking Tuesday outside his home near Rome, Pope
Leo said threatening the Iranian people is truly unacceptable. The
Pope is criticized the US Israel war with Iran since
it began in February, but this marks the first time
the American pope has directly called out the President. I'm

Secretary of State Marco Rubio's confirming the release of an
American journalist who'd been kidnapped in Iraq. In a social
media post, Rubio said Shelley Kittlson had been abducted by
members of an Iraqi terrorist group. There are multiple reports

as part of a prisoner swap. The Iranian back group
held Kittlsen for a week after she was kidnapped in Bagdad.

(01:28):
Rubio said the State Department's working to ensure her safe
departure from Iraq. A report says the upcoming biopick on
Michael Jackson underwent major reshoots after scenes featuring child molestation
accusations had to be cut. Variety reports lawyers for Jackson's
estate found a clause in a settlement with accuser Jordan
Chandler that didn't allow a mention or depiction of him
in the movie. This caused the need for reshoots on

(01:50):
a new third act that costs the Jackson estate an
extra fifteen million dollars on top of the one hundred
and fifty five million dollar original budget. Michael hits theaters
on April eighteen. I'm Tammy Trichello, the accused Gilgo Beach

in New York to the murders of eight women. Sarah
Lee Kessler reports.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Rex Huerman, a Messapequa man, is charged in the deaths
of seven women during a seventeen year killing spree on
Long Island, but there are multiple reports now that the
sixty two year old Manhattan architect will admit to murdering
an eighth victim during his plea hearing. She's Karen Vergata,
a Manhattan mother whose body parts were found ten years

(02:33):
apart west of Gilgo Beach and on Fire Island. I'm
Sarah Lee Kessler.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Bill Gates is set for an interview with the House
Oversight Committee on June tenth related to his connection with
Jeffrey Epstein. As according to multiple reports, Gates is one
of several people who have agreed to be interviewed by

appear before the committee for his own interview about Epstein.
On May the sixth, a new poll finds Americans and
not trusting AI all that much when it comes to

(03:00):
their own healthcare. Michael Kasner has that story.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Doctor the News, just make it a real doctor. Apparently.
Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center pulled more than one
thousand adults and found only forty two percent or open
to AI being used as part of their care. That
number was fifty two percent in a twenty twenty four survey.
Rabbi Tripathi, the chief health informatics officer at the center,

(03:26):

with healthcare professionals before final decisions are made. I'm Michael Kassner.

the first checked bag on tickets purchased from April eighth on,
and the price goes up from there. The second checked
bag will now cost travelers fifty five dollars, up from
