Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome back to Kids Animal Stories. On today's adventure, we
are going into chapter two of Chloe the Rabbit's crazy
adventure of finding new food. Chapter one is over on
Kids Short Stories, so make sure if you haven't heard
chapter one yet, make sure you had head on over
to Kids Short Stories to hear that episode. Well, my friends,

(00:26):
are you ready for part two? Is she going to escape?
That mean Wallace the Wolf? I hope, So let's go.
As Oliver the Otter jumped into the water, Chloe the
Rabbit stood on the edge, very nervous. I don't know

(00:50):
if I could do this, Oliver. It's cold and wet,
and I don't like those things.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
It's okay, Chloe, I believe it. Yo, Yo can do it?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Just jump on the ground of the three. Hey, what's
going on back there? Said Wallace the Wolf. Why two
three go? And just like that, Chloe the Rabbit jumped
for it. Splash. She and Oliver started swimming as fast
as they could to the other side of the river.

(01:21):
You see, Wallace the Wolf may have been hungry, but
he wasn't that hungry.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Oh why did you have to go in the water.
I did not want to get wet today, Ah, well,
the next time you're out wandering around here, you should
come on over to my house for dinner, said Wallace
the Wolf as he walked away.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Chloe the Rabbit was actually a really fast swimmer. Her
little paws were pedaling so fast through the water. She
zoomed across, almost beating Oliver the Otter to the other side. Wow,
you're actually pretty good at this, said Oliver. Wow, huh okay,

(02:05):
that was crazy. As Chloe the Rabbit shook off the
water off of her fur and shook her little tail
to dry it off, she said, all right, I need
to find the owl.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
Do you know where the owl is? Oh? Yeah? Who?

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah, she she's that way, she's she she lives in
that tree way over there. Do you see that big one?
Chloe could see it because it was the biggest tree
in the whole wide forest. Thank you so much, Oliver.
Thank you you not only saved my life, but you're
an awesome friend. Ah, no problem, we'll hang out later.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Bye.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
As Oliver the Otter waved at Chloe as she hopped
away through the forest, she was on a mission. Do
you remember what mission she is trying to figure out? Yeah,
she is trying to find a new food to eat,
because she's getting a little tired of always eating orange carrots,
and so she won wanted to ask Who the Owl

(03:02):
for some advice of what she should eat. She was
hopping very quickly through the forest because she did not
want to run into another predator like Wallace the wolf.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Huh.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
That was a little scary, and I'm glad she had
her new friend Oliver to help her. Pretty soon she
arrived at that very big tree. This was the largest
tree in all the forest, and way up high there
was a hole in the trunk of the tree. I
think there was a hollow section there, and that must
be where who lives? Who are you up there? My

(03:35):
name's Chloe, and I have a question. Who are you there?
It did not take long for her to see two
eyes poke out of the hole in the tree.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Whoooo, yes, I am coming right down.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
As Who swooped all the way to the ground. Chloe
was in awe of how well she could fly, so
majestic to wash an owl fly through the air. Wow,
it is so great to meet you, said Chloe. I've
I've heard a lot about you, but it's so great
to meet you. I have a really important question who

(04:17):
blinked her two eyes and said.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
All right, well, what is your question?

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Well, I've been eating orange carrots my whole life because
I'm in a rabbit and that's what we're supposed to
eat every day. But I'm getting kind of tired of
eating the same food over and over and over and
over and over. So what other food could a rabbit eat? Like,
I don't know anything else that I could eat, I
asked the pig. He eats garbage. I don't want to

(04:47):
eat garbage, So what should I eat? Who as who
blinked her two eyes, blink, blink, She said, why in
the world are you only eating carrots? That is not
good for a rabbit.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
You must have more foods. You must eat more things
like flowers and leaves and grass.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
You need some salads in your life, my dear, said, who, really,
I can eat flowers and grass and leaves.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Why, certainly, said the owl. No way. Chloe looked around
and saw a yellow flower in the distance. So you're
telling me I can go eat that flower right now?

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Why?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Certainly, yes, said who. Chloe ran over to the flower
and took one big bite. Oh this is so good.
Where have flowers been my whole life.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Well, my dear, I think the flowers have always been there,
but I'm glad that you're now aware of how good
and yummy flowers are for rabbits, and the leaves and
grass are just as good.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Wow, I didn't know that about rabbits. Did you know
that it's not good for a rabbit to only eat carrots? Yeah?
Who the owl went on to teach a whole bunch
of stuff about what foods that rabbits should eat. Chloe
was taking a lot of notes, but she the biggest
thing she learned, and she was so happy to learn
that she didn't have to eat carrots for the rest

(06:24):
of her life. Yes, she was so happy. Thank you
so much for the help.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Who Oh my pleasure. Well, I'll see you later. Bye.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Who the Owl flew back up to her home, and
Chloe the rabbit was very excited to get back home.
She ran back to the river, swam across to the
other side, and said hello and goodbye to her friend
Oliver the otter, and ran back home as fast as
she could before Wallace the wolf even noticed. All Right,

(07:00):
I've got to get some new foods in here. Let's
take out some of these carrots from the fridge, and
I'm gonna go get us some salad and some delicious flowers,
and oh, there's so many more things that I'm so
excited to eat. And that is the day that Chloe
the rabbit figured out that eating different foods is actually

(07:20):
really healthy for her. It's not good to eat the
same thing every single day, even for us. So it
might not be flowers, but maybe we should try some
new foods today the end. Great job, you listened all

(07:41):
the way to the end. And who that was a
crazy adventure. Did you know that in the wild rabbits
shouldn't only eat carrots. Yeah, they have to mix up
their diet. It's healthier for their body that way. Can
you think of a food that Who the owl recommended
to Chloe the rabbit? Was it bananas or flowers?

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Flowers? And what creature was it that helped her escape
the wolf? Was it an otter or a pig? Yes,
Oliver the hotter helped her. Well, my friends, I hope
you have a super duper day. I'll see you later. Bye.
