Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello friends, it's mister Jim and welcome back to Kids
Animal Stories. If you haven't done already yet, you need
to help me out. You need to smash the follow
button and leaving a five star review or your rating
is super helpful for me and I lovely reading all
of your reviews. Well, my credit protectors, are you ready

(00:25):
to solve this mystery of who Olivia is? Do you
have any guesses yet? I know I'm not there yet,
but I'm ready to find out. Let's go. As Olivia
scanned back and forth and back and forth, she still

(00:48):
couldn't figure out what critter was close by, but she
could definitely feel the vibrations. Because here's another very interesting
fact about Olivia. She doesn't have years. She can only
feel vibrations. So this critter that is close by, she's
actually not hearing it, she's actually feeling it. Just little

(01:12):
vibrations from the movement is enough for Olivia to know
that there's trouble nearby. Don't come any closer, I'm gonna bite.
Olivia opened up her mouth to show all of her teeth.
Oh please don't eat me. I mean you no harm.
Olivia turned around very quickly and was all of a

(01:35):
sudden eyeball to eyeball with a brush tail possum. Hello there,
my name is Wanda, and I can see that you
need some help there. Oh, it's just a possum, said Olivia,
relieved that it wasn't Manny the mangrove monitor. I'm sorry

(01:55):
that I scared you, said Wanda. I was just walking
by and couldn't help. But notice that it looks like
you could use some help. Do you need help? Olivia
was both shocked and relieved. You see, Olivia is not

(02:16):
a normal creature that would be friends with the possum.
In fact, in a normal situation, that possum might become
the food of Olivia. But in this I think I
think they might actually become friends. Oh wow, you came
at the perfect time, said Olivia. These eggs I think

(02:40):
they're about to hatch, but for some reason, my heat
pits are not working, and I'm just really worried right now.
Oh well, I can help you with that. I have
some pretty cool critter skills that I think could keep
us both safe. Wow, Wanda's actually onto something here, you see.

(03:00):
I think they could be a really good team. You know,
we've already learned that Olivia is really good at feeling vibrations.
And oh and I see her that she has a
forked tongue that she tastes the air with HM. That
seems like an important clue. And Wanda, she as an
as a possum, is really good at smelling and hearing,

(03:25):
and she also has some pretty good night vision because
she is a nocturnal critter. Oh and Olivia, you look
like you could use some snacks here. Look at these.
Wanda opened up her pouch on her belly and it
was filled with the most delicious snacks. Oh. Yes, possums
are marsupials, so that means Wanda has a little pouch

(03:48):
in there for when she has babies. But I guess
when there's no babies, I guess she fills her pouch
with snacks. I think I would do the same thing
as Wanda if I had a pouch. Olivia gobbled up
the food and started to regain her strength, and Wanda
started cleaning out Olivia's heat sensing pits that had been

(04:10):
covered up by some debris and just dirt and stuff.
And they quickly became very good friends, very unusual friends, because,
like I said, normally, Wanda would want to stay far
away from someone like Olivia. But I think Olivia was
just very thankful to not be alone anymore. Isn't it
great to have a good friend? Wow? We could all

(04:33):
use a great friend like Wanda, right, Yeah, that just
comes in to save the day. And she brings snacks.
I like friends that bring snacks. As we're waiting to
finally see these babies hatch out of their eggs, we
should definitely solve this mystery, all right? Who remember some

(04:53):
very important clues? Well, Olivia, remember she laid eggs, so
that's important. She's cold blooded, which I think that means
she might be a reptile. Uh do you remember what
color she was? It was something really bright? Uh pink? No? No, no, no, no?
Oh yes, green? You're right. And she has heat sensing

(05:17):
pits that's very unusual and very specific. And she has
a forked tongue to smell around with. And I guess,
wait a second, wasn't there an important body part that
we have that she doesn't have? What thing was she missing? Again? Oh? Yes?

Speaker 2 (05:37):
No?

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Ears? Wow, holy smokes.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
That is a lot of clues, and I think I
have my answer. Who thinks that Olivia is a green turtle. Oh, oh, nope, nope,
not a green turtle.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
That is not it who thinks that Olivia is a crocodile?
Not a crocodile? Wait, what did you say? You think
she's a snake? Let me see here. Oh, yes, Olivia
is a snake. She is a green tree python.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Great job.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Did anybody guess that? I wonder if some of my
Australian friends knew that one. Yes, green tree pythons are
amazing gritters that. Oh, they like to crawl around in
the trees. And yes, they are very bright green. Isn't
that interesting that snakes don't have ears? Did you know that?

(06:37):
And those heat sensing pits those are real. They live
right just above her mouth, on her face and it
helps her sea when it's really dark out. And wait
a second, do you hear that sound? I hear eggs cracking.
Let's see what's going on. Both Olivia and Wanda were
fast asleep. What was that? Wanda sat up all of

(07:07):
a sudden and Olivia Olivia, wake up. They're hatching. Olivia
woke up and realized that all the babies were starting
to hatch, and they were all different colors, red, yellow,
and blue, and more. Olivia, why are they all different colors?
Asked Wanda the possum. Aren't they beautiful? Said Olivia with

(07:31):
a smile. Yeah, they'll when they get older, they'll turn
bright green. But for now, I love having a whole
bunch of rainbow babies. Wanda and Olivia would go on
to stay friends for the rest of their lives, and
those babies would go on to grow up into beautiful
green tree pythons. Wow, wasn't that an amazing adventure? And

(07:53):
I need to know who guessed a snake that Olivia
was a snake? You knew that one.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
I'm so glad that you are a critter protector. And
this may be the end of the story, but it
is just the beginning of the amazing adventure for these
baby green tree pythons. The end.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Great job you listened all the way to the end,
and that was an amazing story. I did not think
that Olivia was actually a snake. I kind of for
a while thought she was a turtle. But I guess
that makes sense that I don't think turtles can climb
trees very well. Anyway, who do you think? What kind
of critter do you think is the best at staring

(08:41):
contests Snakes. Yes, they actually can't blink because they don't
have eyelids. Blink blink, blink blink. So never enter a
staring contest with a snake because you will surely lose. Well, friends,
that was super fun and I hope you have a
super duper day. I'll see you next time, bah I
