I recorded some stories and hoped that by uploading them to a podcast app, my wife and kids could have easy access to listen. Speaker 1 (00:04):
Hello, friends, Welcome back to Kids Short Stories of This
is your first time.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Welcome to the family.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
My name is mister Jim and I live with my
wife and three kids in South Carolina and we love
adventure stories, so we love turning your ideas into awesome adventures.
It really helps with decreasing screen time and definitely we
love imagination, so I hope you do as well. Are
you guys ready for today's story from Zoe?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Me too? Let's go. It was a little bit.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
Of a rainy day today and so Zoe and Noah
were playing in their playroom with all of their favorite toys,
and today they were building the most epic train track
of all time Dune Dundun. Have you ever been? I
felt the giant train track before. What are your favorite

(01:03):
things to do with your toys? And when you're playing,
I love to build like a whole city, and yeah,
train tracks go throughout it and then you get people
in there and you can just build your own world.
That would be really cool. Well, Zoe and Noah, they
were building, like I said, this giant train track with

(01:25):
a very long train. Hey, Noah, can you pass me
the tracks over there? I want to see if we
can make it all the way to the stairs, said Zoe. Oh,
that would be awesome. Yeah, here's the box. As Noah
handed her the box, she eagerly started putting all the
rest of the tracks together to make it towards the stairs.

(01:45):
All right, let's pretend that the train is traveling over
the track just normal, and then all of a sudden, Oh,
we need to make a sign that's this bridge out.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah, Then when the train is approaching the stairs, all
the people in the train start screaming. Zoe was copying
all the screaming voices inside of the imaginary train that was.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
About to go over the cliff.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
And then we need to find out a way how
to save it. Noah, do you have any ideas? Noah
scratched his head with his fingers.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Umm oh, glu shooters.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Yes, we can use glue shooters to stop the train
from going over the cliff. Yes, that's perfect, said Zoe.
Zoe ran over and got some paper and started making
a sign that said bridge out. Do you know what
it means if you see a sign that says bridge out, Yeah,
it means there's no bridge you gotta stop. What was that,

(02:47):
said Noah? It's our spyby birds.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Let's go.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Zoe and Noah were both on the spy team, and
their spyby birds were in their rooms. They ran over
to get them and played the message. Zoe and Noah,
this is an urgent message. There has been a runaway
train headed towards your house, and we need you to
figure out a way to stop it. We're running out

(03:12):
of time. A what, said Noah. Are we dreaming there's
no train tracks by our house? Yeah, that is really weird.
I don't know what he's talking about, said Zoe. But
let's put our jetpacks on and zoom up. Maybe if
we get high enough, we can see if there's any
trains nearby. Zoe and Noah strapped down their jetpacks and

(03:33):
blasted off towards the clouds. All right, Noah, do you
see anything over there? Nothing on the east or south.
But then Zoe was looking towards the north, and holy smokes,
there really is a runaway train. It's zooming through all

(03:56):
the forest. Look sure enough, straight north from them. A
couple miles away, there was a train zooming through the forest.
It had ran somehow off the tracks and was full
steam ahead, right for their house. What are we gonna do,

(04:18):
shouted Noah. All right, we got to act fast. How
are we gonna stop the train? Said Zoe. Wait a second, Hold,
we were just playing this at home. There was, you know, uh,
that runaway train that was gonna be heading.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Towards the stairs.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
And how did you suggest to stop the train? Glue
shooters said Noah. Yeah, I don't know what else we
could do, but maybe the glue shooters would actually help.
They flew back to their house to get all their
glue shooters. They had a couple of them and some
extra cartridges of glue. They would probably need all of

(04:56):
them if they were gonna stop this runaway train. All right, Noah,
fill up your bags. We need all that glue. We
need everything sticky.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
Come on, let's go.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Zoe and Noah filled up their bags with all the glue,
and off they zoomed to try and stop that runaway train.
As they flew over the forest towards that train, they
could see it in the distance, plowing through all the trees.
Boom boom, boom, boom boom. It was just knocking over
all the trees without even slowing down. Noah, let's land

(05:30):
on the train right in the front. Come on, Zoe
and Noah carefully landed on top of the train. It
was moving very fast and was pretty bumpy, so they
had to act fast. All right, we're running out of time.
We got to get all the glue out and see
if we can slow down this train. They started shooting
all the glue out of their glue shooters on in

(05:50):
front of the train. The train started to make some
terrible sounds as the glue got stuck on all the
wheels in the train. I think it's starting to work.
We're slowing down, but we need more glue. Come on, reload, reload,
said Zoe. As they reloaded all the glue, they kept

(06:12):
spraying all the glue on the wheels and in front
of the train. That terrible sound was actually a good sound.
The train was stopping, but they were running out of time. Zoe,
there's our house, hits right over there. Zoe and Noah

(06:33):
were approaching their backyard. They were running out of time.
They had to use all the glue fast. As they
dumped all the flash of the glue, the train finally
came to a stop. Who that was a close one,

(06:53):
said Zoe. I don't even know what just happened. Was
that for real? Are we dreaming that it all happened
so fast?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Said Noah.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
It was actually not a dream.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Somehow.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I think they were training for this very same thing
inside with their toys, and they didn't even realize it.
As they hopped off the train, they called it into HQ.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
HQ.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
This is Zoe and Noah. We were able to stop
the train in time. Over Wow, fantastic job you two.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
How in the world did you stop that giant train? Over?
Sh Well, Uh.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
It was a lot of glue. We're definitely gonna need
some more glue because we used all of our glue
on that train, laughed Noah. Wow, great job. Yes, we'll
send you some new glue to load up your glue shooters.
Great job Zoe and Noah, over and out. Sh Wow,

(07:55):
what a crazy adventure. I can't believe that the glue
actually worked in stopping the train, but I guess our
glue spy glue must be really powerful. Well, that was
a great job. Great job, Zoe and Noah. You saved
your home and probably a whole lot more. Now. I

(08:16):
think I'm gonna go practice with some trains just in case.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Great job.

Speaker 1 (08:30):
You listened all the way to the end and you
know what time it is.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
It's time for Cude shout out.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
I'm gonna say at Enzo from Boca Ratone, Kai from Toronto,
Riyah from Minnesota, Oliver and Aliyah from Joplin, Missouri, Manya
from India, Lillian and Skyland from Arizona, and.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Eddie from Vancouver.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
I'm so glad that you're all in the Kitschart Stories
family and on our spy team. We could not stop
Doctor Stinky Breath and his crew without you, my friends.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Will you am a super duper day and look out
for those trains. Bye.
