Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's Purdy, Sam and Jody. After the show, thank you
for becoming a podcast subscriber. These are the things that
you don't You're only gonna hear them here on the podcast,
nowhere else.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Yes, No, I showed off my jerseys today during the
show my basketball Recreational League basketball jerseys. I went to
had dinner at my son Sammy's house, him and his
wife Melissa Jackson, and I, my thirteen year old, went
over there.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Yes, Sam, Sammy is your oldest hees how old? A
nice savage.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Okay, so we went over there to have dinner and
they eat differently.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Okay, what does that mean?

Speaker 3 (00:33):
They're risk takers right now.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
They don't eat a lot of meat. They're not vegan,
vegetarian whatever, but they're very selective about what they eat.
They eat healthy, they're on so this is purposely yeah,
all right. And so they had burritos and you know,
it's like, oh, so you got meat, and you know,
just me these their meat and the burritos. No, there's
no meat in the burritos. Okay, they were delicious burritos.

(00:58):
I saw black beans, I saw corn, There was salsa
and some thinking it might have been refried beans. Holding
it all together. Yeah, they were very good. And then
they started us. He was discussing that he had had
some oatmeal with chia seeds on it. I was like,
chia seeds and he says, yeah, you know, it's like
flax seed. It's there that it helps detox your body
or blush you out ice.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Sprinkle it on salad. But I forgot, like I stopped
doing it. Yeah, well that's what I do when I
get when I get into something really healthy, I'm like
all about it and then whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Well, when he said chia seed, the first thing that
popped into my head was like chia pets and then
the seeds that grow the grass on the chia pets.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Oh is it really Yeah? I didn't know it was
the same thing.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Yeah. Either. And so he sprinkles it on oatmeal and
he says you can do other stuff with it, and
he says you want to try some and I was like, yeah, sure.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Why not. It's not like sunflower seeds.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
So he put it like in a little shot glass
of water and he poured some in there. And they
supposed that they were like hard and crunchy, but when
you put them in the water, they get like squishy bowl,
you know, squishy little balls. Okay, so you tried it
and there was no taste to it, no smell anything.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
It's easy to get down. Then yeah, yeah, it's a
good thing to eat. It's good for you.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Do you feel detox and purified? No?

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Then I don't think I taste incredible sand. Didn't want
to eat it?

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Well, I didn't have enough of it. And then I
haven't done it, you know, repeatedly.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
But I think chia seeds are kind of like wheat germ.
You have to keep them refrigerated, right, are they spoil?
I have no, That's what we did when I.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
As soon as I brought them home, He's like, get
that in the refrigerator.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
Well, I mean, I don't remember for sure. I know
that we wheat germ because I made the mistake one
time of not doing that. Oh it was bad.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
What does we germ do if it's not refrigerated.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
It spoils with the oils in it spoils, so it
makes you very sick.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
It made a disgusting looking thing to look at, too,
didn't it get gross looking?

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Didn't want to get gross looking the wheat germ. Oh?
Oh no, I don't remember that I thought it looked disgusting.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Kind of like the upside down and stranger things. Yeah,
so anyway, I had the chia seeds and it was okay,
I get it. Yeah, it's like, what was that wheat?
The green grass? Wheat grass?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
It is.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah, it's kind of reminded me of that.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
So after you tried that, you turn back to him
and say, okay about the burritos. Now where's the meat?
I please have some beef
