Producer David LOVES his (soon to be 1-year-old) niece more than anything and prides himself as being "Fun Uncle David". For her upcoming Birthday, he bought his niece (Olivia) a fold out ball pit for her to play in. It's seems like an awesome, fun gift for kids, but Jodi pointed out a potential PROBLEM with it.....especially for the parents.

Pretty sir David.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Let us in on a little secret, and I hope
it's okay to continue talking about that.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
For your niece's birthday next week.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
She turns one, and she's kind of the light of
your life, and she's so sweet. You're getting her your phone,
uncle David, and you're gonna you're giving her a ballpit.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Uh huh, a little baby ballpit huh.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
And I know I'm gonna let her plan in it first,
but I'm gonna want to jump in at some point.

Speaker 5 (00:36):
So let me ask you this.

Speaker 1 (00:37):
On the website, what does it say are these suitable
ages for this? I'm just wondering how one.

Speaker 5 (00:42):
Day said one to three years old?

Speaker 4 (00:44):
Three?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Okay, right, so this is not an adult ballpit?

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Yes, before I mean there's a basketball who connected to it,
so adults can play with it.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Before she hops in.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
I want to say this and her mom, your sister
will probably think this way because moms naturally think this
way when you're in diaper mode.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Hmm, change your diaper first.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Don't want anything getting on one ball, on every ball,
and then you'd have to wash one hundred balls.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
You know what, Just j I'm so glad you brought
that up. That sounds like the kind of thing Sam
would call to our attention. But yes, I was thinking
of it, but I.

Speaker 5 (01:17):
You know, Dave, I don't even think about that years ago.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
That years ago when I was a teenager, my first
job was had McDonald's.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
I wanted to drive through McDonald's and then they had
a ball pit out front, and I cannot tell you
how many somebody to shut that thing down and they
had to come clean every ball because somebody got sick
in there or somebody.

Speaker 6 (01:38):
That who got that job.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
No, no, no, there was some company that came up.

Speaker 6 (01:42):
Okay, it wasn't like the low man on the totem pole.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
And that flashes me back to that scene in Caddyshack
where they had to empty the pool.

Speaker 6 (01:48):
Yeah, that was a baby Ruth.

Speaker 5 (01:53):
I was so pumped about this gift. But now I'm
having second thoughts.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
No, no, no, no, no, Please don't have second thoughts. It's a
great gift.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
That's just a mom and than it's just hazard a
small thief.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
Now that i'm thinking about, it's not my problem. If
a ball gets dirty, that's the problem.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
It's their gift.

Speaker 7 (02:07):
Yeah, I have a question to David. You said that
the pit folds up and to be you know, like
putting in a small purse. Yes, so one hundred balls though,
that's got to be something to lug around.

Speaker 4 (02:17):
One hundred we'll see whenever she finally opens I'm not
going to open it before, but once she opens it,
I'll take a picture and see.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
If a hundred ball is not going to fill the hole.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
It's not. And my guess is that a hundred balls
is not going to be.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Honestly, it's probably golf ball sized balls, not the kind
that you would see it like the what do you
call the party place? Right?

Speaker 5 (02:38):
Because it's for a.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Baby, we'll see it'll still make her happen.

Speaker 6 (02:41):
Now that we've shot it all down, David
