Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
On our weekend show podcast, it was there, and then
last week we were talking about a lot of single
people today really loving it and finding it's right for them,
and Sam chimed right in and you really went there
honest about what you love about being single and honest
about the struggles of it, and a lot of people
resonating with that and commenting on that. So from our
(00:27):
Instagram and Facebook pages, Susie sent this, I've been alone
for six years. I'm okay, but sometimes it would be
nice to have someone to talk to, go out to
eat with, watch a movie with. I love my dogs,
but they won't compromise. You made the perfect statement. You
don't know what alone is until you're alone. I get it, Sam.
(00:48):
That's from Susie.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
Thank you, Susie.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
And the thing is you can still you know it's alone,
I guess in that companionship sense, but not in a friendship.
I mean still have friendships. You still have you know,
plenty of people that you can socialize with and enjoy
time with.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
What's so funny is that Sam, with the friends and
the work people and all the people you see, all
the time and your family. There are times when I
can see Sam is tapped out. He needs alone time.
Like you know, I can see when you're ready to
go into your cave. And that's great. That's who you are, ye,
Trina says, I'm recently alone. It was three of us.
Imagine my surprise when I habitually ordered my usual toilet
(01:24):
paper and opened the door to see my delivery of
a thirty one roll pack.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Hey the upside to that it'll last for years?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Oh yeah, yeah, Trina Felicia sent this. As my kids
are getting older and have lives of their own, I'm
left to wonder what now I dedicated my life to
raising them. Still have an almost sixteen year old, though,
I think I miss having someone to do things with,
someone to just be company with, someone to laugh at
my stupid jokes, and someone to make me laugh.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
That's honest too.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
That's that kind of hits it on the head too.
I mean, because some of the those things I can
relate to. Yeah, it would be great to go hanging
out with people just to hang out.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:07):
Look, there's good and bad in every situation.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
There's pros and cons in every situation, and this is
one of my favorites.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Rap.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
We'll wrap it up here with Brenda. Being alone and
being lonely are two different things. Yeah, I'm technically alone,
but not lonely at all.
Speaker 4 (02:22):
Yeah, she put the heart emoji.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
That's beautifully put.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Yeah, we love hearing from you. Keep it coming anytime
and you can always join the conversation. Also at eight
seven seven three one zero four msj.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Coming up at six point fifty, Jody has three things
to note today.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Coming up next, though, guess who's getting an employee evaluation today?
Lisa sent us a text and wants to know why
Sam is doing my evaluation at work today.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
I want to know that too, Lisa.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
Joe's employee evaluation.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
It's a weird setup thing because obviously we you know,
Jody as far as I'm concerns in charge here actually
and at home too, But.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Seriously, absolutely not really, But it.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Has to do with like our other hats that we
wear when we're not in the studio.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
You guys hired me a long time again.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
And I can't be a direct supervisor to somebody that
I'm married to.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Yeah, and unfortunately I can't marry Murphy, so therefore.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, so they the company decided, Hey, you know it
would be great to oversee Jody, Sam give.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
It the sad so haven't put a camera on them
too and watch it.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
But today's today, right, Sam said, block out a little
time for me. Later today we'll do the evaluation. So
I thought, you look very nice today. I wore my
nice shirt today.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Yeah, you know that doesn't work a rating. I did
a quick little overview of your answers, because the way
this works is you rate yourself and then we go
over this together and I say, a good guess, Jody,
that's a great point you made there, and here's ways
you can improve yourself. And for the most part, you
rated yourself pretty highly. Great. That's you know, confidence in
(03:59):
your work when you work your job. But there is
one where you said you only occasionally demonstrate a certain behavior,
and that's working with the available resources systems and other stuff.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
There's so many like technological systems available in workplaces. And
you know this, Murphy, I'm not the early adopter of
things like that.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
I don't love to dabblishing.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Yeah, I understand that, m Jody. How can we improve that?
Speaker 4 (04:29):
Do it for me?
Speaker 2 (04:30):
No?
Speaker 4 (04:31):
I don't know how can I improve it?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
That's not going to look good on it.
Speaker 4 (04:35):
I know, how can I improve it.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Sam's comment is going to be, this is hopeless.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
After speaking with Jody, actually, I need to address it
the same way I would tell someone else.
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Don't see it as hard or difficult or out of
my lane. But it's just something I'm unfamiliar with. Yeah, yeah,
don't be afraid of it.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, exactly, And be patient with yourself. You move fast
on things. When you have to stop on something that
frustrates you, and then rather than stick with it, you
just you walk away from it. And that's that's a
common thing from a lot of people. I'm gonna use
what he's saying right now, but for clarity, I am
not supervisor.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
All right.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
Coming up next your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
Trending now, Jody's Hollywood.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
Outsider Robert Pattinson's next film. He is not a vampire,
he is not Batman, but he plays a real person.
That's Chris Hansen. In this movie is called Primetime, but
it's based on the National.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
TV show called to Catch a Predator.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
To watch television, Well, there's something you should know.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
I'm Chris Hanson.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
It's actually Robert Pattinson playing him. That it was a
Daylight NBC.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
He was a Daylight NBC correspondent who had this groundbreaking
show where you got to watch him like literally catch
predators and lure them in. The show eventually got canceled
or a tragic event.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
If you don't know.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
What that event was, look it up or I don't
want to ruin the movie for you. But the movie
is called Prime Time and it's coming up. We have
a date now. It's going to be in theaters in September. Okay,
world premiere and then in theaters, so look for that.
Also have news about this show I'm now watching. I'm
only in the first season with Jennifer Andison and Reese
Witherspoon called the morning show Good morning.
Speaker 5 (06:23):
I'm bringing you some sad.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
It was trending last week with them all hugging and
loving each other on set. It's because they've decided it's
going to wrap up once season five airs, and season
five is in production now.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
So yeah, I only have.
Speaker 3 (06:37):
Good news for you.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Coming out next. Sam has Music News.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
I'm gonna let you know how George Michael is going
to live on later this year.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
Sam Scott Music News, We're.
Speaker 3 (06:49):
Getting George Michael the Faith Tour, an unreleased concert film.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Later this year.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
I want this okay. This was recorded to a little
story behind it, recorded back in nineteen eighty eight during
two of his terrorist concerts on his first solo tour,
the Faith Tour. Oh big, they've had this. It's even
available in Imax, and they've been shopping it around trying
to get somebody to pick it up so they can
release it to theaters. Somebody has picked it up, so
(07:14):
we're gonna get it. I don't have a date, an
exact date on it, but it's going to be later
this year.
Speaker 4 (07:18):
I need to see it with my cousins.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
We every time we get together, we just blast George, yeah,
because we miss him so much.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Now you're also going to get some extra stuff too.
Before the movie, they're going to have a nice little
preview called Finding Faith, Finding Faith. Excuse me. It's going
to have George's voiceover, and it's going to go behind
the scenes of making the song and making the Faith
music video. Okay, so you get a little behind the
scenes on that oneids.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
I'd rather see the video on Freedom of.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
The Supermodel, Freedom Mighty video and the Faith Tour and
eighteen track live album will also accompany it, So Joe,
you kind of get some new George Michael this year.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Speaking to movies too, Katie Perry's Lifetime Tour the movie
is also coming coincidentaly, it was also recorded in Paris,
but not in nineteen eighty eight. It was done just
last fall, sixty cameras in this she flies around on
a butterfly, twenty five songs, You're Gonna get it all
(08:18):
and this one's coming to theaters first. It'll be there
on September the second. Katie describes it as Disneyland on wheels.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Well, sixty cameras. H. I mean, I can't even imagine
how long that took to put together.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
They had to edit it.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
Yeah, I'm probably still dealing with it right.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
Yeah, And I got some more intro on Garth Brooks
and his upcoming Blame it all on My Roots tour. Now,
you know, he announced the first two dates were in Indianapolis.
Tickets went on sale, they sold out. He had a
third date that sold out, so he had a Sunday
mattin May, which is kind of fun at May concert. Yeah,
(08:53):
and now he's announced that the second date on the
tour is going to be two dates in September in
Denver at Ball Arena. Those are going to be going
on sale this Friday. And by the way, if you
miss this tour, he's recording it all, so we're gonna
get a live album, probably double and maybe a live
movie and all that.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Stuff up next. Jody has three things to note today.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
Three things to note today.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
Number one, what hobbies make you appear more interesting to
other people, especially like other potential people who might want
to date you. Interested in this Learning a language high
on the list, anything any of the arts like music,
you know, anything creative makes sense, or creating something instead
of just consuming, like cooking that's interesting, but.
Speaker 7 (09:38):
Not talking about the Star Wars that is not on
the list.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Correct talking about it's not on the list. And also
volunteering just in case you care. Do your hobbies for
your own self though, don't worry about what other people
think with regards to your hobbies.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Number two, More and more couples are avoiding traditional expensive weddings,
sound ceremonies, and just getting married at the courthouse. This
seems to be driven by gen z Okay now entering
peak marrying years, and it's very popular in California. They're
getting like scheduled time at the courthouse, like they treated
like a sport when a for months in advance. When
(10:17):
a spot opens up, it's taken immediately. It's kind of
cute that that's a and it's a money saving trend.
And number three, I guess you heard this already. Lebron
James heading to the Philadelphia Sixers and eight seventy six ers.
They call him the Sixers there anyway. It's an eight
million dollar deal. He said he considered retiring in the
off season, but called this his last decision and free agency.
(10:40):
He's not motivated by money this time, he says, he's
solely focused on chasing one more championship.
Speaker 5 (10:46):
You're up to date. Three things to know today.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
We have a special situation here today, a special guest.
In fact, we could call it Murphy, Sammy and Jody
because Sam's oldest son, Sammy, has popped in. Hi.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Welcome Sammy.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Say it still works, the logo everything it works, right?
Speaker 4 (11:07):
It does? I kind of like it?
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Yeah, m Why so I have a question for you.
You guys just got back from a father son vacation. Yep,
and we have traveled a lot with your dad over
the years, and this was the first time you had
traveled with him solo, right, Sammy.
Speaker 7 (11:23):
Yeah, this was the first time doing a solo trip
with my dad.
Speaker 4 (11:26):
So what how was he to travel with? For you?
Speaker 1 (11:31):
It was easy?
Speaker 7 (11:32):
Yeah, yeah, we had separate rooms.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
We always have separate rooms from Sam.
Speaker 7 (11:36):
Also, it was nice.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
And you travel a lot anyway, you're easy going.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
I guess.
Speaker 7 (11:42):
I mean, I don't know what travel a lot means.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Well, but just came back from London and yeah, that's
a lot. That's more than I traveled.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
Yeah, just came back and you you were on Are
you at the end of your sabbatical?
Speaker 4 (11:53):
I am, oh no, what do you look so rested?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah? So you've been off for how long?
Speaker 7 (11:58):
Six weeks.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
And on a Monday, and then they're paying you for that,
right yep?
Speaker 7 (12:05):
Percent paid?
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yep. So are you ready to get back?
Speaker 7 (12:08):
I don't know. Maybe this is what teachers feel like,
getting the whole summer off and having to go back,
but I don't want to go back. It's really cool.
I'm not having to work, you know, right.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
I think right, I think that in the paycheck kind
of go hand in hand, don't they.
Speaker 7 (12:22):
Yeah, it's pretty awesome.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
All right back to your vacation with your dad. I
do want to know, like, what was your favorite day?
Speaker 7 (12:28):
Probably we rented some bikes and we just rode along
Lake Michigan. That was a lot of fun. It was
just relaxing. Weather was good, weather was great the whole time.
I went swimming in Lake Michigan with no proof. We
don't have any pictures, but you know, it was fun.
It was clear, clean, it was nice. We went to
Wrigley Field on the e bikes, you know, up and
(12:51):
down the little coast there.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
It was cool.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
Do you know that your are you worried that your
siblings might be wanting their turn next.
Speaker 6 (12:59):
With your dad?
Speaker 7 (13:00):
I didn't even think about that at all. In fact,
actually okay, so we were on the trip and my
brother Will, we just sent him like a selfie. We
were like, hey, happy fourth of July, you know, two
hundred and fiftieth at Wrigley Field and all that. And
then as soon as we sent the picture, I was like,
I didn't invite Will.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
I'm glad.
Speaker 7 (13:20):
I didn't even think about it. You know, we didn't
even think about it. I just thought, wow, as a kid,
he took us on vacations and I haven't been on
a trip with him since being a kid, since he
was taking us on trips.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
So it's all right because I think he's thinking about
doing solo vacations. Everybody else now too, And if that's
news to you anyway, there went well, it did, Murphy,
Sammy and Jody.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
Morning picked me up time.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
I want to tell you a story about something that happened,
and it did go viral, and you can look it
up and watch it yourself, but I want you to
think about what happens. How many emotions are coming down
at you when you get into a fender bender, when
you get into a car accident that's not like majorly serious,
but man, right.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
There's a lot of thoughts at one time. It's a
sinking feeling, for sure.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
There's a lot of emotions. There's sadness, there's anger, there's
all kinds of things. In fact, you're overcome with feelings
and the person that you're the other person is also
a stranger who you have a lot of feelings with
that at that very same moment.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
There's also physical because I don't know if you've ever
been in one, but it's like you get out shaking,
whether it's minor or anything.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
Yes, it's a major sensory event.
Speaker 4 (14:31):
And it was funny.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
We just had this conversation with our oldest daughter Taylor
because she was in a little bit of a fender
bender and we were just talking to her about it afterward,
that there's a lot of emotions from both parties at
that time, when in fact, you have to deal with
the emotions, but you also have to deal with the facts.
That's a moment where you have to try to put
the emotions aside and say, let's talk about facts too.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
So this pick me up helps us get through that.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yes, in Brazil, this happened. You can google it and
see it. On a downtown street. There's a one car
runs into the back of the other one and both
parties get out, Both men get out, and the person
who is the one who bumped into the back of
the other car was so distraught that he did that
that it happened. It didn't take but it was like
(15:16):
less than a minute where instead of the fussing and
the frustration, the person who was hit hugged him. Oh,
they hugged each other like he just knew he needed
comfort at that moment. And they didn't send this out
into the world. The traffic cameras picked it up, and
someone saw it and saw, oh my gosh, we need
to share this because it's beautiful. You know, the way
(15:37):
you react in an emotional situation can make it or
break it for somebody.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
Yeah, he was just.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
Having a really bad day and then even worse because
he ran into the back of somebody.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
I would be crying too, Why.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
Yeah, I think most people if if you're rear ending somebody,
or if you're if you're the cause of the actions,
oh my gosh, you're going to have a lot of remorse.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah, right then and there. So anyway, not that that's
going to happen every day. Yeah, not that somebody that
you gets an accident is going to every stranger. I'm just.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Turned around for yes, up next to another Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
Trending now Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Huge announcements at Comic Con this weekend from the Marvel
Universe from Marvel Studios.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
And the big surprise was and the.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
Guys on stage, the lights go out, and then the
lights come up and the words ghost writer on the
big screen behind Ryan Gosling standing there.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Whoat really happening?
Speaker 4 (16:40):
It's a standalone film.
Speaker 7 (16:42):
As you know, this is a character I've wanted to
play for a very long time.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
So Ryan Gosling is isn't he like the fifth ghost
Rider or something?
Speaker 4 (16:52):
I guess, But here's what's up.
Speaker 2 (16:53):
You know, normally when somebody joins the Marvel universe, they
test it first in one of the movies with everybody else.
He's gonna get his own standalone movie as Ghostwriter coming
out in twenty twenty eight. He's not necessarily going to
pop in. We could look for him in Doomsday maybe.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
Before Well he's Ryan Gosling.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Yeah he might, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Yeah, that does not happen unless you're like Robert Downey Junior.
So the crowd went nuts. He was on stage for
a few minutes and then he ducked out. Okay, there's
a lot of other news. Black Panther three was announced
for twenty twenty eight. There's a Deadpool possibility because Ryan
Reynolds showed up in a Deadpool costume we'd never seen before,
like a gray denim one, and he wouldn't leave. But
(17:32):
the big one is that Avengers End Game is getting
another theatrical release.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
He was like a thousand years in September. We're going
to see it.
Speaker 1 (17:40):
In theaters coming up in seven fifty. Jody has three
things to note today.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
We had touched last week on the concept of having
an empty weekend and being recommended that everyone's schedule an
empty weekend once a month, meaning, don't make social plans,
don't have anything that you have to do on the weekend,
and just see where you naturally end up, do what
feels good in the mond.
Speaker 1 (18:05):
Basically, just don't have a time that you have to
be somewhere right nowhere.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
So I didn't announce it, we didn't talk about it, Murphy,
but I pretty much did it. The only thing that
was on my really, yeah, the only thing that was
on my schedule was to go see my mom, which
I did, uh twice, But that was also whenever I
wanted to roll in and see her and visit her.
So it wasn't really scheduled hard And when I tell you,
(18:30):
it was lovely to just be that way. You want
to sit down and read, sit down and read. If
you want to get in your closet and try on
a bunch of dresses you haven't in a long time,
which I did. By the way Friday afternoon, Murphy, you
don't know this. You were gone, you had an appointment.
I put on a long, floor length gown that I love,
and I zipped it all the way up the back
(18:51):
and it fits grave and I couldn't get out of it. No,
we have a new neighbor next door, and I was thinking,
she's very friendly, and I was thinking about it, asking
her come help me get out of this gown.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
How long did it take you to get out of it?
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Forty five minutes?
Speaker 1 (19:08):
What did you do?
Speaker 2 (19:10):
It was?
Speaker 4 (19:11):
It was a situation. Is not that it was too tight.
It was that the zip would I couldn't pull it.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
I had to do a yoga move to really get
it off because the zip that I eventually scooted it
down my shoulders and kind of.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Would come back home to help you.
Speaker 4 (19:24):
Be home for a couple of hours.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Yeah, that's because I didn't have an empty weekend. I
didn't leave it open, you know, And you know.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Early this morning, when I'm getting my first cup of coffee,
you're sitting there. I don't know if you guys do this,
but I replay my weekend in my head, and it
was so much in it that was nice and impromptu
good that. Wow, it really does work. Highly recommend this.
Sherry sent this to our Facebook page. My hubby and
(19:54):
I do this all the time. We didn't know there
was a term for it. Love it. It's called having
an empty weekend. Karen said, I honestly thought this was
how weekends are supposed to be stressed.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
So true.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
Alicia said, did it two weeks ago and it was glorious.
It's called an empty weekend once a month. Try to
schedule one.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
Coming up next. Jody has three things to know today.
Speaker 5 (20:19):
Here's three things to know today.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Number one costco keeping low prices at the gas pumps.
And of course it's wonderful for members, but it's also
designed to keep you there. I mean the word is
they want you to visit the actual warehouse more often.
So if you roll in for gas, how often does
it that pizza call your name or whatever?
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Probably app goes off every time I pull up.
Speaker 2 (20:42):
Oh really they got you app man right there no
problem that I love. It's a strategy because you know,
if you stick to your list, you're doing right. But
it's one of the top sticks to the list, one
of the top places for impulse purchases. Number two, there's
a refrigerator company over seas in Japan that this is
gonna be perfect for summer. One day, they have designed
(21:05):
a human sized cooling pod for if people who work outdoors.
You know, if you're always outside and you get overheated quickly,
you can step inside this thing. It's over six feet tall,
holds an interior temperature of fifty nine degrees and it
blasts cool air around forty one degrees at the head,
neck and shoulders and back, and you pop in there
for five or ten minutes, and it's cost effective and they're.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
Gonna roll it out.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
And number three, Marvel and Hasbro have teamed up to
give us action figures from Avengers Dooms Day everything that
they suck Captain America four Fantastic Forts the first time,
even characters from The X Men in action figure collectible.
Speaker 7 (21:48):
Form form.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
You're in the note Three things to know Today.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
A lot of people have a lot of weird sleep habits.
If you have these, you're not alone. We're going to
share some. Do you have any weird ones, Sam, I'll
tell you Murphy's weird one know if.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
It's weird, but I hug a pillow?
Speaker 4 (22:10):
Okay, no, I think that's sweet. I'm not. I'm sorry,
I'm not laughing you.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
And it doesn't go back to last week with being alone.
It doesn't go back to.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
One nice Hey. Look, your pillow loves you unconditionally. Yeah,
I love it doesn't talk back.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
I just chuckled because I love that, you admit that.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
I think it's more of a comfort thing.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Sure, yeah, prop in your arm up versus it just
come over in there. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:32):
Murphy's weird sleep habit is he cannot sleep with just
one pillow.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
He would not. He just has to have a whole
like castle.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
Of pillow, a pillow army.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
I love that, you know, I.
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Mean about yours, Cody.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
I don't know if I have any weird sleeping habits.
I sleep with one pillow. Yeah, I do have to
sleep with the rain sounds.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
I like that.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
I don't think that's I would say that that's our
you know, it is definitely our habit.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Now when I wake up, I'm in some very strength positions. Mine,
you know, wrist turned down.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
A lot of people do that. Most people do that.
There's a natural. I've read about that before. There's a natural. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Yeah, but it's so normal, because this is where you
get completely vulnerable and you restore and repair yourself. You
know how big of a fan I am of sleep.
It never gets the respect it deserves. So at Jennifer
admitting of sleeping in socks even in summer.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Oh, I'm surprised Jodie didn't call out my you know,
my strangest habit.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Why are you sleeping?
Speaker 1 (23:30):
What the blanket that I used? You think is too
hot for the summer? I forgot?
Speaker 4 (23:35):
Yeah, because honestly, the big pillow mote thing is more.
Speaker 1 (23:38):
She gave me that ugs It's an Uggs blanket, right, God,
I'm sorry. Yeah, only one, not two.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
It's the heaviest, warmest blanket in the world, and he
sleeps with it even in the summer.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Liness it's the magic sleeping blanket. That's wow.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
Yeah, pillow hugger, you guys are so precious.
Speaker 2 (23:56):
Mike says, I can't fall asleep unless I'm absolutely freezing cold, Kayla,
I sleep with my head completely under the covers.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Oh wow.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
I've known some people who do that, and that can
be like a cocoon kind of a comfortable thing.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
I think whatever works for you, as long as it
doesn't you know, cause a problem for your part if
you have a sleeping partner.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
Well you know, I mean I would sleeping habits. I
would love to know what you know, sleeping rituals. People
have too, same kind of thing, because what you're talking about,
you know, rain sounds faan on cold room. You and
I have some prerequisites, you know.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Yeah, it's about making it happen. Sleeping blanket coming up.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Jody has another Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
My mom is still recovering from her major surgery from
the beginning of the summer, and I wanted to surprise
her the other day with something new to look at
to occupy her mind. So I thought, you know what,
I'm going to roll into the library and get her
some big coffee table books to just look at.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
If that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
I'm not going to suggest she reads something that you know,
that's my idea, but coffee table books and I roll
in coffee table yes, regardless, you know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
And you know my concern is not whether she is
the coffee table or not. Though she's not really supposed
to be picking up heavy things and aren't those books heavy?
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Okay, thank you for bringing that in. One at a
time she can handle a book.
Speaker 4 (25:20):
Yeah, I here you go. So I've never fifty pounds
of books, to.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
Be honest, though, I've never. When I arrived, I had
to ask, do you guys have a big section of
coffee table books, because I know that they should they
have everything, and she was like, of course we do.
She had to take me to the section, and there's
so many, oh my gosh, not that that's a surprise,
but overwhelming amount of subjects, Like there are coffee table
(25:45):
books about butterflies and bridges and Harley Davidson's and I
found them on shoes.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
I got stock actually there.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Back to Sam's question, I'm assuming the library keeps those
on shelves, not coffee tables, right, yeah, you know what,
it would be.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
Hafty, hefty shelves.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
So once I had like three or four, I realized, Man,
this is a serious haul.
Speaker 3 (26:08):
Which times did you get?
Speaker 4 (26:10):
I got her one about home decorating like this just these.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Just an right.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
No.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
I looked for one on cats. She has a coffee table.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
Oh she doesn't need books about cats. She's got the
real thing.
Speaker 7 (26:24):
I know.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Okay, so they didn't have cats anyway, I got I
got her one on home decorating fashion.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
That was one on fashion in the other hand, and
the no something that she would like to look at,
and I can't remember the third one. I'll have to go.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
Back anyway, Okay, Murph, I'm trying to do something nice here.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
Anyway.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
When I was checking out, it was so heavy, I'm
like put it up on the counter. And I said,
by the way, is there a limit to how many
you know, books you can check out at one time?
And she says yes, the library's policy is no more
than fifty books at a time. Of like, I'm all
set with three Wow coming up next to your Hollywood.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
Outsider, Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (27:07):

actor who's going to play the adult Chala Junior. He
was there as well. David Johnson is his name.
Speaker 4 (27:42):

That's exciting. We know Avengers End Game is going to
get another theatrical release. I'm excited about that in September. Actually,
it's like one day September twenty fifth, limited encore release
in theaters and previously unseen bonus.
Speaker 4 (27:56):

the Month thing.

Finger Day, all right, And by the way, if you
want some history on the chicken.
Speaker 4 (28:47):

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Yeah? Yeah, just like chicken nuggets are boneless, wings are
really nuggets.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
There's two restaurants that claim that they created the chicken tender. Yeah,
one in Manchester, New Hampshire, the other in Savannah. Yeah,
and they both have their claim to fame the original
chicken finger. But National Chicken Fanger Day was and everybody
agrees on this one was created by Raising Canes. Yes,
they decided to honor it in twenty ten and it's
now become a national holiday and it's on the national

Yeah, massive downhill runs carved into hi hillsides and twisting
tracks weaving through the woods. Some feature jumps and turns
and can get you really up to some fast speeds.
A lot of people want to know how to do it.
The DIY builds are online as well. But as Murphy
would point out, yeah, can also safety land you in
the emergency room. You have no kiddy why water slides,
(31:44):
too much.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Oil and any piece of fis queen gets you in trouble.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Number two in the dating world, facial feature that has
noticed the most, and first we assume it's eyes.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
You're in the note. Three things to know Today
