some of our favorite moments from this past week.

I don't know if they're all single, but oh my gosh.
So let me tell you a story from last night.
I have a new device in my life, a new phone,
and it arrived, and you know, my life has been
crazy with it because it's a new phone. But I
didn't have a case. I didn't have an otter box,
which is what we decided I needed an otter box. Yeah,
it was so crazy, right.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
To drop phones, that's the way to go.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
That naked phone made me so nervous for two three
days until I finally said, you know what, let's I
couldn't find it at Walmart, the one I wanted, so
I rolled into best Buy to get it. I walk
in there. It's not my kind of I mean, I
only ever go in there with Murphy every once in
a great.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
I love it. It's like Disney World, Yes, it is
so guess what.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I had been singing this song and I had all day.
Megan Trainers know which is a favorite song of mine
that gets suck in my hat.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
All the time I have heard that in a long time.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
I love that song. It gets stuck. I sit down,
I walk in there, I find the otter boxes, and
that song starts playing around my aouter box. I was
like wow. And then I look around and I'm getting
helped by strangers, by people who work there. It's all men.
I'm the only female in the whole place, and I'm like,
this is where all the men are. They're at best

Buy looking at electronics, just like Murphy loves to go
to best Buy any excuse. I have seen Murphy be
at home, be ready for bed, be comfortable and realize
we need something and get dresses. So I'm going to
best Buy. It's where the men are.

When I get a notification something's ready for pickup.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
I had so much help selecting this one little outer
box case from men who work there and men who
were just you know, hey, can I help you like
what you're looking for? It was so funny. Then I
want you to know the music's still playing. The playlist
in there is really fun I'm like, this is where
the men are, and the music's great. I go to
the checkout and I want you to know they're like

do you have a phone number with us. I'm like,
of course I don't. I gave them yours good and
they were like, oh, yeah, we know you.

Yah. They were like oh, And I said, well, this
get him points and he was like, yeah, it's for sure. Well,
so I got you some points.

Murphy is sitting behind me on the sofa at his
little laptop desk rolling desk. What do you call it?
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yeah, it's a rolling laptop desk.

Yeah, the one that's supposed to be collapsible and put
back in the closet.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Well, it's when I'm not using it. Yes, I think
you expected to be collapsed and put away all the time.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
It's okay. So I'm laying on the sofa reading a
book and I just shot a picture like, you know,
wild Saturday night. Yeah, and man, everybody was all over this.
Laurie says, Murphy with the desk that we all want
now and Jody For a second, I thought you were
just sitting there with no top on his way. I
see the pink top. Now, those are the best Saturday nights.

I did have a shirt on. It was your one
of your shirts. It's kind of the color of my skin.
So I was not pasting that.

That's how rumors could start it, huh.

Anything to get Murphy's attention.

Stephen said, I thought Murph wasn't allowed to use that
new desk he's using. You're using it a lot, and
I'm glad for you. Now if people come over, I'm
gonna want to put away. But it's kind of it's
it's been hanging out, it's out. Denise says, wow, is
Murphy working on a Saturday night? And I just answered,
and I don't know what you were doing. You might
have That's okay.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
I got sucked into something that wasn't completed from Friday.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
And yeah, yeah, Diana said, it's called being comfany, enjoying
your home and life together. Also, my son has the
same shirt Murphy is wearing, so it's like Christmas in July,
August or any day, right.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
It was all I love that one. That's the you
got that one at Target. That's the one that it's Santa,
Don't Stop Believing, Don't Stop Believing, and it's Santa Murphy
wears a little Journey take off. That's some of that
all that retro look.
Speaker 2 (04:17):
My favorite thing is when you don't at home, and
rightly so, you often don't think about what you put on.
You're just wearing whatever. I mean, I do too, and
clearly you'll be wearing like a Christmas shirt like oh
Sanna shirt, and you'll also wear green or red shorts.
I'm thinking you're trying that.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
It's just me being I know. It's what's clean and available.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Casual and comfortable. One more from Christina. I love that
Murphy is wearing the Santa shirt in August. Also true
weekend vibes you guys, So yeah, I wanted to share that.
I also we also have a comment from Facebook Messenger.
It's from Meghan about the other day in the show.
We know Jody can rock three things to Know, but
I enjoyed hearing m feet take a stab at that.

Oh well say yeah, Jody, was you know, traveling?
Speaker 2 (05:04):
So she says, Sam, You're next, what's the craziest place
you've ever seen or found? A snake? It happens you guys.
I know you've seen social media blow up in the
summertime with people, you know, finding snakes in ice chests,
on boats and things like that. I mean, snakes get

into places and they sit.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
I've been surprised by them before. I don't know that
i've ever actually, you know, found them in your places.
The one that surprised me was when I was a
kid mowing the grass. It was my chore for the summer,
didn over one. It was a push mower and the
grass was very thick and as I'm as I'm going
through them in the mower, it just comes to a
complete halt. A man and I pulled the mower back.
(05:48):
Now I got him, he was gone. He was not
a threat to me that he Yeah, but he was
kind of big. Yeah, I don't know, I don't remember what.
I don't think he was a poisonous snake, right, big
but big?
Speaker 2 (06:03):
What about you, Sammity, big weird spots, No snake in
the boot.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Yeah. But one of Sammy and well, my oldest one
of their favorite stories is one time when the three
of us were walking along a ditch, you know, just whatever.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Dad with his boys.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Yeah, and I.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
Was leading the way and there was a snake right
in front of me. He coiled up and it's like
walking along, hey.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
And you see it.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
And I jumped over it and went And so if
you ever asked him about the snake story, though, laugh
about the time I screamed like a girl and jumped
over a snake.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Okay, scream like what anyway, I'll say this. You heard
about this. This is the story that happened this week.
Kids are getting back into school. A football player was
at practice a high school and he felt like there
was something wrong with his helmet, you know, something not
fitting right too, and then he felt something moving around.
He had been practicing and he had had the helmet
(06:54):
on for about an hour. He takes it off. They
inspected and they found a two foot long cotton hiding
beneath the padding.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
That is a venomous snakes.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
The venomous snake. So they actually the shelter, the local
shelter was reminding everybody pay attention to your outdoor gear,
especially if you get as you're getting back to school.
All this stuff snakes.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
So the helmets were being stored outside.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Don't know about don't know the answer to that question.
But or the snake got into wherever the helmets were freaky.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I mean, he's lucky. I know, a venomous bike to
the head would have been really bad. You think, yeah,
I'm glad he's okay. That really, I'm gonna have chills
for the rest of the day.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Carry morning, picked me up time. And I learned this
recently and it's just an awesome little takeaway if you
are raising kids, little kids and you want them to
grow up to be the kind of people who respect time,
who show up on time to things, or if you
struggle with time management, Murphy, I promise I'm not looking
(07:58):
at you, but if you.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Kind of looks like.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Straight ahead, if you struggle with time management, comprehending time,
you know, comprehension of time. Go back to when a
child is a little and they're just let's just putting in.
Your kid is in the high chair and banging on
the thing and you're like dinners in five minutes. You
say that to a child. A child doesn't know what
five minutes is. Everything is new to a child. So
(08:24):
sometimes your time management comprehension start everything starts there. It
starts there, and so.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
You're basically saying I still think of time like a child.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
No, I did not say that. I did not say that.
They're saying that it's something that you don't think to teach.
But there are easy ways to teach it to a child.
And you can do this for yourself as an adult.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Not you specifically.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
It's just an interesting thing. But I would love this
to be a good say a morning pick me up takeaway.
Literally for a kid. You can say, I'm going to
set a timer for ten minutes, and let's clean your
room in ten minutes, or go play outside for ten minutes.
But when this timer goes off, you know, do it
when you need them to help you with chores, so
it doesn't seem like too long for them. They know that,
(09:12):
they know that there's going to be an end to this.
You don't have to clean your room all day. They
will learn what ten minutes is if you teach them
along with all the other things they're doing. If they're
watching an episode of Bluie and it's ten minutes long,
speak to them about it in ten minutes that will
be over, then come see me.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
I used to do that with my kids when they
were little, The three little ones right with SpongeBob.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Yeah, I would say, how long is that going to be?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
It's like about as long as a SpongeBob at exactly.
Start working time into the regular daily life with children
and life and routines, and you will teach them about
what feels like five minutes versus an hour because the
little kid doesn't know. And as an adult you can
do the same. What's that tomato thing? You have? Murphy palm?
Speaker 1 (09:57):
So the Pomadora timers what you're talking about. Correct, It's
something you can I keep forgetting.

It's meant to be a pick me up because it
can enhance your life to do this, and it's easy.

Yep thistens for you Jody. From Christine, she says, I
have a hard time walking on my treadmill for any
meaningful amount of time. I love walking in the neighborhood.
I can walk in the park or the mall, but
I find that walking the treadmill. I find walking on
the treadmill is incredibly boring. Yes, I've watched TV I've
listened to the radio, or I've listened to books being
read to me, but I've only made it for thirty minutes.
(10:41):
Any thought, it's awfully hot these days, true.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Christine, same girl, same. I cannot stand a walk on
a treadmill. I only ever do it if it's the
last option for movements, because to me, there's something about
not going anywhere. You're walking in place. I know that,
but it works for a lot of people. I'm in
awe of these people who you know, get on there
(11:06):
and ramp up the uh what do you call that, Murphy.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
The the incline, the incline.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah, I mean that's the way. I mean, your butt
will thank you.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
But saying Christine to me, I'll just brave the heats.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
The few never changes, Yeah, the view.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Never changes on a treadmill. I have had a little
luck watching a couple of TV shows while walking, but
still it's like.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Uh, yeah, you know, well, there are some things that
I need to get back on the treadmill again. But
for one thing, I noticed Christine says, thirty minutes, that's plenty,
that's all you need. But you know, and the other
thing that if you absolutely just can't do and you
don't like a treadmill, then obviously nothing that you do
is gonna work.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Correct.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
But what Jody just described the incline and that they
say two things will help if you can if all
the rest still bores you, all the outside stuff, earbuds
and everything, set the you can set it, you know,
program program it to go up, or you just go
up an incline, like every three minutes you do something different, different,
which then keeps your brain, you know, you work at
it as a different program, or cover the clock. I
(12:08):
actually say that too, because then it doesn't I know,
on the when I was doing the bike, it was
the same thing, the stationary bike. It's like I don't
want to go thirty more minutes. But it's like, okay,
I made it to five, I made it to ten,
I made it to fifteen.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Not as enjoyable as because it's manufactured for you. Because
you're going on a walk, you never know where you're
gonna see around the bend. So yeah, I'm with you,
but I will say this, keep searching for something you
love to do. That's why a lot of people who exercise,
who are naturally just active, they'll be doing yoga for
a while, and then they'll be hiking for a while.
It's because you're looking for somebody to keep you moving.
(12:41):
Let us know, Christine earlier when we were talking about
that football player who high school football player who found
a venomous snake hiding behind the padding of his helmet
after he had worn it for an hour, that's insane
talking about all the places that you know snake's hide
and where you everybody has a snake encounter.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
I don't know if you've ever had a snake hiding incident.
Have you ever had one? Surprise you?
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Yes, but it wasn't that. It's not the outdoor, Oh
my gosh, there's a snake in my boot situation, toilet, No, no, no, no,
you know this story unless you just forgot it. My
ex the person I was with exactly, was biological sciences
major in college and he was getting his PhD. And
it was all he had snakes, but not all over
(13:29):
the place like mostly they weren't.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Live snakes though, were they? O? Y, Yes they were so.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
One afternoon I was at his apartment and he was
not there yet, and I was looking for some iced
tea in the fridge and I moved some stuff out
of the way. The tea was in the back. I
moved some stuff onto the counter to get to the tea,
and by the time I turned around to pour my tea,
what I had moved it was a bag. I didn't
know what was in it, and it started moving. He
had kept us. He had put a snake in a bag,
(13:56):
a snake bag in the refrigerator.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Which keeps them from moving because they go dorm it because.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
They're and he explained the same thing to me. It's
like Jody, of course he's going to start moving because
it was hot out in the kitchen.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
In the fridge.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
I just wanted I put.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
That snake back in that refrigerator so fast because it
was big and scary, and I thought it was going
to get away from me. No, anyway, commonplaces that snakes
hide wood and debris piles, that's a big place. They're
just looking for protection from heat, from predators. They're just
trying to chill, lax and feel safe so they can
(14:33):
sleep or whatever. Tall grass, of course, dense.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Bushes, which is what's happened to me.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
And when they do that, that's there. That's what they're doing.
They're trying to protect themselves. They're not trying to sneak
up on you and hide.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
You know, they actually don't want to be near you. Technically.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
No water features like ponds and landscape features. If you
have like a deck or whatever, that's a perfect little
place for them to sliver in.
Speaker 5 (14:56):
We have, you know, the pond in the back of
my house. Ye, people put canoes on the our little
pedal boats. You lift it up and there's there's always
a snake under it.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Right, It's a perfect hiding place, So beware. I had
to travel the other day right after the show, and
so you guys did a little podcast twice, that's right. So, yeah,
how Murphy really feels about Jody, and I want you
to know I heard that podcast. I heard about it.
(15:25):
I figured that podcasts are talking about you in front
of me.

Not easy to do, and after the show podcast without you,
you know, really, I mean, it's not the same and
I can't hang out. We can, It's just everything is
the three of us you.

I pitched my idea of a Star Wars podcast.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
I think a lot of people would enjoy a Star
Wars podcast. Anyway. I just wanted you to know you
answered some some d ms about our marriage.

There were questions about our relationship in our marriage and
how do we work together.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
So I listened and I just wanted to say, so
today's after the Show podcast, we can go a little
deeper about that non proposal and how I really felt.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
About five oh then proposal.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Yeah, the fact that I was never proposed to, well.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
I mean, I know that that was an at some point,
but we'll get to it because.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I do have some things to say about it. There's
I feel differently about it today than I did twenty
seven years ago. Is that the year we're on in marriage?
Speaker 1 (16:15):
We are in November?
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Yeah, you guys also said a no no word at
the end of that podcast. I heard soulmates being George Murphy.
We're going to talk about that today in the after
the Show podcast. What Jody really thinks about, what Murphy
really thinks about Jody. Isn't that podcast will be But
I did want to bring up something I had forgotten
that when we first met, And the quick story is
that we worked together. First, Murphy and I were friends.
(16:38):
He was my boss first, and Murphy and I'll all
respect and I really liked you, and then we were friends.
When we got in the room together doing the show.
We were fast friends and I felt like, oh my gosh,
is this man my best friend? And it happened very
quickly that you were and that is how we got together.
But I had forgotten something you also mentioned in the
(16:59):
podcast that they're was there were things about me in
that trial phase when I was on trial or whatever
you call it, or that you didn't like.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
What I was saying in the podcast, is that it
was not like this immediate attraction thing.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
I wish I loved that kind of story, but it wasn't. No.
I wish I could say that story was our story.
But yeah, there were like and and women are that way.
I am different with different girlfriends. And there was a
girl that when she was around, she and I would
just talk about TV shows and shopping and we got
way too girly and Murphy was almost turned off by it.
(17:36):
But you know, I'm that way with Sun. There are
girlfriends that I'm still in my life today that you
would be, so you would bolt I.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Was a different person back then too. You know.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
I just thought that that was funny that you brought
that in. Women are that way with different friends, you know,
like Sam and his Star Wars stuff we would bolt right, Yeah,
probably all right, so we'll go there, the non proposal
and the soul mates question today.
Speaker 4 (18:04):

Were going to hear about this one Murphy, this juicy
podcast we did a couple of days ago after the show,
podcast about our relationship and the beginnings.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yeah, how all that started? How in the world we've
survived working together this long?
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Not even the work stuff as much as our beginning story.
When you knew, when I knew, you did not propose
to me, and I did want to bring that back up,
and we we have a lot of comments about that,
about the non proposal. Apparently it happens a lot. We
just knew, of course at that time. And I mentioned
this in the podcast that I would have liked that.
It was a part of me. I was younger, I
(18:37):
wanted that, but a couple of years into being married,
I realized I've got the marriage, you know I've got,
and I'm happy, you know, And so I remember I
remember letting that go. I don't even think about it
unless it gets brought up, unless somebody goes, how were
you proposed to? And I'll go funny story. I was.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Okay, we're here we go.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Denise, I wasn't proposed to either, and says being proposed
to is a great feeling. I admit, but soulmates just
know a person knows when they're meant to be. It's
a feeling like no other. Agreed. That's the thing you
need to know. If you're a young person you're listening
to this, what you actually want in life is the
relationship to be strong, not the proposal to be exceptional.
(19:24):
Just like they'll say, you want a great marriage versus
a great wedding. Don't get caught up in the wrong things.
You know, even if it's the right person, that doesn't
mean that everything is going to happen in a perfect
way from start to finish. It's not going to.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
Two people see things totally different than each other, and
you don't really know that until it happens. The proposal
is usually a surprise, so there's no discussing in an
advance going. So, how do you feel about proposals? Yeah, well,
that would really water the moment down too. Well.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
What about the fact that there may be people who
have done the big proposal and then that person on
and receiving in was like like didn't want it? To
be on the jumbo tron. You know, it is a
chance you take.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
So there's a lot of.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Stuff that people don't want to jumbo trons these days.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Sam, did you do proposals?
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Let's see one to two. I did, yes.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
The other one kind of just came up. We were
sitting at a bar drinking and it's like, yeah, you
know you think we ought too.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Sure, that was kind of like me and Murphy. Yeah, okay,
thank you for jumping yours worked. Okay, Yes, that's okay too.
Love having you along. I have a little travel hack
for you if you want to maximize your snack game
if you're flying. So, Murphy, I had to fly the

other day and it was an overnight's day, so two
flights you know, at Connect and then two flights back,
so four different flights.

Or in terms for me and Sam two after the
show podcast later.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
I'm sorry anyway, that was very inconvenient.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Joy in any way, Murphy, Sam and Jodi business as
you know. Any way, this airline, when the attendant comes
down the aisle, I'm always in the window seats. I
can't hear very well, but I love being in that
little window seat. I love that looking out at the sky.
It's like, would you like a snack? And she say
(21:19):
and she says, we have cheese its, pretzels, cookies, or
chocolate chip granola bar. So to me, that's a choice.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
So I'm like, well, what do you think I chose?
Y'all know me cheesu its correct, bring me the salty snack,
cheesey snack any day. So I'm like, cheese it's, thank you.
And I get my little water and I have my
little bag of cheese. It's And then everybody else around me,
the two people to my left and everybody else around me,
is like, I'll have the cookie and the pretzels, and
she's thrown them out. Some people the man on the

aisle got all four and I'm like, hello, I didn't
know you could get all of them. Yeah, I would
have eaten all of them, but man, just did you
guys know that you can request more than one?
Speaker 1 (22:06):
I guess you can, but you know everybody around me
and they're probably prepared for that. If so, but you
know they're not going to They're only going to offer
what you want. I don't think they're going to try
to push four snacks in the average person. They did, like,
you know, what I'm saying is like all four snacks.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
I thought it was a choice.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
I thought it was a choice. I've always just picked
one everybody around me. The only thing that wasn't getting
picked was what do you think pretzels?
Speaker 1 (22:30):
Yeah, they sweet stuff.

At the end of the month, they'll have like nothing
but pretzels.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
On this phone.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Yea.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
And there's I don't think that there's anything universal because
different airlines do it differently, and different length of the
trip do it differently.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
This was the airline where you would have picked the
cookies every day and twice on Sunday. Yeah it was Delta.
But anyway, just so you know, I had one little
mini bag of cheeses and then just like anger and
resenting it for the rest of them.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
You know, you could have called her back over she
passed ten times.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
I didn't want to do that.

See every single thing that rolls in and it's a
lot lately, So just get right to it. Ronda and
Trace and Joseph have comments for you, Sam about you
being a little scared and nervous to go to the
shelter to find your new best friend. Yeah, because you
want to take them all home.

I want to take them all home, or it's going

my local shelter. When I leave, I sit in my
car sometimes and shed a little tear. Yeah, I would
take them all if I could. But seriously, go walk
a few and you can tell how they react to you.

one of the shelters where they let the dog pick

It is beautiful. A group of people sitting in a room,
ten people, five people, even twenty, and you're there. You
want a new best friend. And the dogs, A few
dogs will one dog at a time will come and
whichever dog picks you, that's what you get, and that's
what you adopt. I mean, as long as it works out.

That was really sweet. Watch this as many times as
you and I have done adoptions and fostered and all that, Jody,
over the years, I don't know that we ever had
a dog pick us.

I only had one that ever picked me, and he
was my foster dog and we and his mister Bates,
Oh he did. Joseph said this, going to a shelter
is usually a good idea to meet these animals firsthand.
But remember, don't initially judge a dog's behavior at the shelter.
So true, usually they have limited space. They get overly

excited just to be out of their enclosement. So you know,
they sometimes they bark a lot in the shelter. Let
them go, spend time, walk the same dog more than
one time, see how they do.

They also wind up sometimes shutting down. And so we've
had dogs like that that had no appear to have
no personality, but they just didn't like being in the shelter.

and pony show. As an elective teacher, it feels like
we're on display and we're being measured up. Who's the coolest,

It's just a lot of pressure, that's Marissa. Yeah, because parents,
you know, it's the first time I ever realized that
when we were sitting in the little desks, when our
kids were in like first grade and we're at open
house and I was. I ended up talking to one
of the teachers the next day and she was like,
so glad that's over. And I was like, why I thought,

I said I it was awesome. She was like, I'm
so nervous. I never thought a lot of parents don't
realize it's difficult for you teachers.

Well, it is a Our skill set is working one
on one with kids. Not everybody is comfort addressing a
crowd like that. I completely understand respect that.

I never thought of it that way.

They know that, I mean, they know that even though
parents shouldn't do that, they're going to do that. So

So let me tell you a story from last night.
I have a new device in my life, a new phone,
and it arrived, and you know, my life has been
crazy with it because it's a new phone. But I
didn't have a case. I didn't have an otter box,
which is what we decided I needed an otter box. Yeah,
it was so crazy, right.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
To drop phones, that's the way to go.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
That naked phone made me so nervous for two three
days until I finally said, you know what, let's I
couldn't find it at Walmart, the one I wanted, so
I rolled into best Buy to get it. I walk
in there. It's not my kind of I mean, I
only ever go in there with Murphy every once in
a great.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
I love it. It's like Disney World, Yes, it is
so guess what.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I had been singing this song and I had all day.
Megan Trainers know which is a favorite song of mine
that gets suck in my hat.

All the time I have heard that in a long time.

I love that song. It gets stuck. I sit down,
I walk in there, I find the otter boxes, and
that song starts playing around my aouter box. I was
like wow. And then I look around and I'm getting
helped by strangers, by people who work there. It's all men.
I'm the only female in the whole place, and I'm like,
this is where all the men are. They're at best

Buy looking at electronics, just like Murphy loves to go
to best Buy any excuse. I have seen Murphy be
at home, be ready for bed, be comfortable and realize
we need something and get dresses. So I'm going to
best Buy. It's where the men are.

I had so much help selecting this one little outer
box case from men who work there and men who
were just you know, hey, can I help you like
what you're looking for? It was so funny. Then I

the checkout and I want you to know they're like

do you have a phone number with us. I'm like,
of course I don't. I gave them yours good and
they were like, oh, yeah, we know you.

Well, it's when I'm not using it. Yes, I think
you expected to be collapsed and put away all the time.

book and I just shot a picture like, you know,
wild Saturday night. Yeah, and man, everybody was all over this.
Laurie says, Murphy with the desk that we all want
now and Jody For a second, I thought you were
just sitting there with no top on his way. I
see the pink top. Now, those are the best Saturday nights.

I did have a shirt on. It was your one
of your shirts. It's kind of the color of my skin.
So I was not pasting that.

That's how rumors could start it, huh.

Stephen said, I thought Murph wasn't allowed to use that
new desk he's using. You're using it a lot, and
I'm glad for you. Now if people come over, I'm
gonna want to put away. But it's kind of it's
it's been hanging out, it's out. Denise says, wow, is
Murphy working on a Saturday night? And I just answered,
and I don't know what you were doing. You might
have That's okay.

I got sucked into something that wasn't completed from Friday.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
And yeah, yeah, Diana said, it's called being comfany, enjoying
your home and life together. Also, my son has the
same shirt Murphy is wearing, so it's like Christmas in July,
August or any day, right.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
It was all I love that one. That's the you
got that one at Target. That's the one that it's Santa,
Don't Stop Believing, Don't Stop Believing, and it's Santa Murphy
wears a little Journey take off. That's some of that
all that retro look.

My favorite thing is when you don't at home, and
rightly so, you often don't think about what you put on.
You're just wearing whatever. I mean, I do too, and
clearly you'll be wearing like a Christmas shirt like oh
Sanna shirt, and you'll also wear green or red shorts.
I'm thinking you're trying that.

It's just me being I know. It's what's clean and available.

Casual and comfortable. One more from Christina. I love that
Murphy is wearing the Santa shirt in August. Also true

I enjoyed hearing m feet take a stab at that.

Oh well say yeah, Jody, was you know, traveling?

So she says, Sam, You're next, what's the craziest place
you've ever seen or found? A snake? It happens you guys.
I know you've seen social media blow up in the
summertime with people, you know, finding snakes in ice chests,
on boats and things like that. I mean, snakes get
(05:25):
into places and they sit.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
I've been surprised by them before. I don't know that
i've ever actually, you know, found them in your places.
The one that surprised me was when I was a
kid mowing the grass. It was my chore for the summer,
didn over one. It was a push mower and the
grass was very thick and as I'm as I'm going
through them in the mower, it just comes to a
complete halt. A man and I pulled the mower back.
(05:48):
Now I got him, he was gone. He was not
a threat to me that he Yeah, but he was
kind of big. Yeah, I don't know, I don't remember what.
I don't think he was a poisonous snake, right, big
but big?
Speaker 2 (06:03):
What about you, Sammity, big weird spots, No snake in
the boot.
Speaker 5 (06:06):
Yeah. But one of Sammy and well, my oldest one
of their favorite stories is one time when the three
of us were walking along a ditch, you know, just whatever.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Dad with his boys.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Yeah, and I.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
Was leading the way and there was a snake right
in front of me. He coiled up and it's like
walking along, hey.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
And you see it.
Speaker 5 (06:24):
And I jumped over it and went And so if
you ever asked him about the snake story, though, laugh
about the time I screamed like a girl and jumped
over a snake.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
Okay, scream like what anyway, I'll say this. You heard
about this. This is the story that happened this week.
Kids are getting back into school. A football player was
at practice a high school and he felt like there
was something wrong with his helmet, you know, something not
fitting right too, and then he felt something moving around.
He had been practicing and he had had the helmet
(06:54):
on for about an hour. He takes it off. They
inspected and they found a two foot long cotton hiding
beneath the padding.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
That is a venomous snakes.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
The venomous snake. So they actually the shelter, the local
shelter was reminding everybody pay attention to your outdoor gear,
especially if you get as you're getting back to school.
All this stuff snakes.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
So the helmets were being stored outside.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
Don't know about don't know the answer to that question.
But or the snake got into wherever the helmets were freaky.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I mean, he's lucky. I know, a venomous bike to
the head would have been really bad. You think, yeah,
I'm glad he's okay. That really, I'm gonna have chills
for the rest of the day.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Carry morning, picked me up time. And I learned this
recently and it's just an awesome little takeaway if you
are raising kids, little kids and you want them to
grow up to be the kind of people who respect time,
who show up on time to things, or if you
struggle with time management, Murphy, I promise I'm not looking
(07:58):
at you, but if you.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Kind of looks like.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Straight ahead, if you struggle with time management, comprehending time,
you know, comprehension of time. Go back to when a
child is a little and they're just let's just putting in.
Your kid is in the high chair and banging on
the thing and you're like dinners in five minutes. You
say that to a child. A child doesn't know what
five minutes is. Everything is new to a child. So
(08:24):
sometimes your time management comprehension start everything starts there. It
starts there, and so.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
You're basically saying I still think of time like a child.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
No, I did not say that. I did not say that.
They're saying that it's something that you don't think to teach.
But there are easy ways to teach it to a child.
And you can do this for yourself as an adult.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
Not you specifically.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
It's just an interesting thing. But I would love this
to be a good say a morning pick me up takeaway.
Literally for a kid. You can say, I'm going to
set a timer for ten minutes, and let's clean your
room in ten minutes, or go play outside for ten minutes.
But when this timer goes off, you know, do it
when you need them to help you with chores, so
it doesn't seem like too long for them. They know that,
(09:12):
they know that there's going to be an end to this.
You don't have to clean your room all day. They
will learn what ten minutes is if you teach them
along with all the other things they're doing. If they're
watching an episode of Bluie and it's ten minutes long,
speak to them about it in ten minutes that will
be over, then come see me.
Speaker 5 (09:30):
I used to do that with my kids when they
were little, The three little ones right with SpongeBob.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Yeah, I would say, how long is that going to be?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
It's like about as long as a SpongeBob at exactly.
Start working time into the regular daily life with children
and life and routines, and you will teach them about
what feels like five minutes versus an hour because the
little kid doesn't know. And as an adult you can
do the same. What's that tomato thing? You have? Murphy palm?
Speaker 1 (09:57):
So the Pomadora timers what you're talking about. Correct, It's
something you can I keep forgetting.

It's meant to be a pick me up because it
can enhance your life to do this, and it's easy.

have a hard time walking on my treadmill for any
meaningful amount of time. I love walking in the neighborhood.
I can walk in the park or the mall, but
I find that walking the treadmill. I find walking on
the treadmill is incredibly boring. Yes, I've watched TV I've
listened to the radio, or I've listened to books being
read to me, but I've only made it for thirty minutes.

Any thought, it's awfully hot these days, true.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
Christine, same girl, same. I cannot stand a walk on
a treadmill. I only ever do it if it's the
last option for movements, because to me, there's something about
not going anywhere. You're walking in place. I know that,
but it works for a lot of people. I'm in
awe of these people who you know, get on there
(11:06):
and ramp up the uh what do you call that, Murphy.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
The the incline, the incline.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Yeah, I mean that's the way. I mean, your butt
will thank you.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
But saying Christine to me, I'll just brave the heats.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
The few never changes, Yeah, the view.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Never changes on a treadmill. I have had a little
luck watching a couple of TV shows while walking, but
still it's like.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Uh, yeah, you know, well, there are some things that
I need to get back on the treadmill again. But
for one thing, I noticed Christine says, thirty minutes, that's plenty,
that's all you need. But you know, and the other
thing that if you absolutely just can't do and you
don't like a treadmill, then obviously nothing that you do
is gonna work.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
Correct.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
But what Jody just described the incline and that they
say two things will help if you can if all
the rest still bores you, all the outside stuff, earbuds
and everything, set the you can set it, you know,
program program it to go up, or you just go
up an incline, like every three minutes you do something different, different,
which then keeps your brain, you know, you work at
it as a different program, or cover the clock. I
(12:08):
actually say that too, because then it doesn't I know,
on the when I was doing the bike, it was
the same thing, the stationary bike. It's like I don't
want to go thirty more minutes. But it's like, okay,
I made it to five, I made it to ten,
I made it to fifteen.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Not as enjoyable as because it's manufactured for you. Because
you're going on a walk, you never know where you're
gonna see around the bend. So yeah, I'm with you,
but I will say this, keep searching for something you
love to do. That's why a lot of people who exercise,
who are naturally just active, they'll be doing yoga for
a while, and then they'll be hiking for a while.
It's because you're looking for somebody to keep you moving.
(12:41):
Let us know, Christine earlier when we were talking about
that football player who high school football player who found
a venomous snake hiding behind the padding of his helmet
after he had worn it for an hour, that's insane
talking about all the places that you know snake's hide
and where you everybody has a snake encounter.

I don't know if you've ever had a snake hiding incident.
Have you ever had one? Surprise you?
Speaker 2 (13:07):
Yes, but it wasn't that. It's not the outdoor, Oh
my gosh, there's a snake in my boot situation, toilet, No, no, no, no,
you know this story unless you just forgot it. My
ex the person I was with exactly, was biological sciences
major in college and he was getting his PhD. And
it was all he had snakes, but not all over
(13:29):
the place like mostly they weren't.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Live snakes though, were they? O? Y, Yes they were so.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
One afternoon I was at his apartment and he was
not there yet, and I was looking for some iced
tea in the fridge and I moved some stuff out
of the way. The tea was in the back. I
moved some stuff onto the counter to get to the tea,
and by the time I turned around to pour my tea,
what I had moved it was a bag. I didn't
know what was in it, and it started moving. He
had kept us. He had put a snake in a bag,
(13:56):
a snake bag in the refrigerator.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
Which keeps them from moving because they go dorm it because.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
They're and he explained the same thing to me. It's
like Jody, of course he's going to start moving because
it was hot out in the kitchen.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
In the fridge.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
I just wanted I put.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
That snake back in that refrigerator so fast because it
was big and scary, and I thought it was going
to get away from me. No, anyway, commonplaces that snakes
hide wood and debris piles, that's a big place. They're
just looking for protection from heat, from predators. They're just
trying to chill, lax and feel safe so they can
(14:33):
sleep or whatever. Tall grass, of course, dense.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Bushes, which is what's happened to me.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
And when they do that, that's there. That's what they're doing.
They're trying to protect themselves. They're not trying to sneak
up on you and hide.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
You know, they actually don't want to be near you. Technically.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
No water features like ponds and landscape features. If you
have like a deck or whatever, that's a perfect little
place for them to sliver in.

We have, you know, the pond in the back of
my house. Ye, people put canoes on the our little
pedal boats. You lift it up and there's there's always
a snake under it.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Right, It's a perfect hiding place, So beware. I had
to travel the other day right after the show, and
so you guys did a little podcast twice, that's right. So, yeah,
how Murphy really feels about Jody, and I want you
to know I heard that podcast. I heard about it.

Yeah, you guys also said a no no word at
the end of that podcast. I heard soulmates being George Murphy.
We're going to talk about that today in the after
the Show podcast. What Jody really thinks about, what Murphy
really thinks about Jody. Isn't that podcast will be But
I did want to bring up something I had forgotten
that when we first met, And the quick story is
that we worked together. First, Murphy and I were friends.
(16:38):
He was my boss first, and Murphy and I'll all
respect and I really liked you, and then we were friends.
When we got in the room together doing the show.
We were fast friends and I felt like, oh my gosh,
is this man my best friend? And it happened very
quickly that you were and that is how we got together.
But I had forgotten something you also mentioned in the
(16:59):
podcast that they're was there were things about me in
that trial phase when I was on trial or whatever
you call it, or that you didn't like.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
What I was saying in the podcast, is that it
was not like this immediate attraction thing.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
I wish I loved that kind of story, but it wasn't. No.
I wish I could say that story was our story.
But yeah, there were like and and women are that way.
I am different with different girlfriends. And there was a
girl that when she was around, she and I would
just talk about TV shows and shopping and we got
way too girly and Murphy was almost turned off by it.
(17:36):
But you know, I'm that way with Sun. There are
girlfriends that I'm still in my life today that you
would be, so you would bolt I.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Was a different person back then too. You know.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
I just thought that that was funny that you brought
that in. Women are that way with different friends, you know,
like Sam and his Star Wars stuff we would bolt right, Yeah,
probably all right, so we'll go there, the non proposal
and the soul mates question today.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Social media connect I knew we.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Were going to hear about this one Murphy, this juicy
podcast we did a couple of days ago after the show,
podcast about our relationship and the beginnings.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Yeah, how all that started? How in the world we've
survived working together this long?
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Not even the work stuff as much as our beginning story.
When you knew, when I knew, you did not propose
to me, and I did want to bring that back up,
and we we have a lot of comments about that,
about the non proposal. Apparently it happens a lot. We
just knew, of course at that time. And I mentioned
this in the podcast that I would have liked that.
It was a part of me. I was younger, I
(18:37):
wanted that, but a couple of years into being married,
I realized I've got the marriage, you know I've got,
and I'm happy, you know, And so I remember I
remember letting that go. I don't even think about it
unless it gets brought up, unless somebody goes, how were
you proposed to? And I'll go funny story. I was.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Okay, we're here we go.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Denise, I wasn't proposed to either, and says being proposed
to is a great feeling. I admit, but soulmates just
know a person knows when they're meant to be. It's
a feeling like no other. Agreed. That's the thing you
need to know. If you're a young person you're listening
to this, what you actually want in life is the
relationship to be strong, not the proposal to be exceptional.
(19:24):
Just like they'll say, you want a great marriage versus
a great wedding. Don't get caught up in the wrong things.
You know, even if it's the right person, that doesn't
mean that everything is going to happen in a perfect
way from start to finish. It's not going to.
Speaker 1 (19:41):
Two people see things totally different than each other, and
you don't really know that until it happens. The proposal
is usually a surprise, so there's no discussing in an
advance going. So, how do you feel about proposals? Yeah, well,
that would really water the moment down too. Well.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
What about the fact that there may be people who
have done the big proposal and then that person on
and receiving in was like like didn't want it? To
be on the jumbo tron. You know, it is a
chance you take.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
So there's a lot of.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Stuff that people don't want to jumbo trons these days.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Sam, did you do proposals?
Speaker 3 (20:13):
Let's see one to two. I did, yes.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
The other one kind of just came up. We were
sitting at a bar drinking and it's like, yeah, you
know you think we ought too.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Sure, that was kind of like me and Murphy. Yeah, okay,
thank you for jumping yours worked. Okay, Yes, that's okay too.
Love having you along. I have a little travel hack
for you if you want to maximize your snack game
if you're flying. So, Murphy, I had to fly the
(20:43):
other day and it was an overnight's day, so two
flights you know, at Connect and then two flights back,
so four different flights.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
Or in terms for me and Sam two after the
show podcast later.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
I'm sorry anyway, that was very inconvenient.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
Joy in any way, Murphy, Sam and Jodi business as
you know. Any way, this airline, when the attendant comes
down the aisle, I'm always in the window seats. I
can't hear very well, but I love being in that
little window seat. I love that looking out at the sky.
It's like, would you like a snack? And she say
(21:19):
and she says, we have cheese its, pretzels, cookies, or
chocolate chip granola bar. So to me, that's a choice.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
So I'm like, well, what do you think I chose?
Y'all know me cheesu its correct, bring me the salty snack,
cheesey snack any day. So I'm like, cheese it's, thank you.
And I get my little water and I have my
little bag of cheese. It's And then everybody else around me,
the two people to my left and everybody else around me,
is like, I'll have the cookie and the pretzels, and
she's thrown them out. Some people the man on the
(21:52):
aisle got all four and I'm like, hello, I didn't
know you could get all of them. Yeah, I would
have eaten all of them, but man, just did you
guys know that you can request more than one?
Speaker 1 (22:06):
I guess you can, but you know everybody around me
and they're probably prepared for that. If so, but you
know they're not going to They're only going to offer
what you want. I don't think they're going to try
to push four snacks in the average person. They did, like,
you know, what I'm saying is like all four snacks.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
I thought it was a choice.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
I thought it was a choice. I've always just picked
one everybody around me. The only thing that wasn't getting
picked was what do you think pretzels?
Speaker 1 (22:30):
Yeah, they sweet stuff.
Speaker 2 (22:33):
At the end of the month, they'll have like nothing
but pretzels.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
On this phone.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
Yea.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
And there's I don't think that there's anything universal because
different airlines do it differently, and different length of the
trip do it differently.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
This was the airline where you would have picked the
cookies every day and twice on Sunday. Yeah it was Delta.
But anyway, just so you know, I had one little
mini bag of cheeses and then just like anger and
resenting it for the rest of them.
Speaker 1 (22:56):
You know, you could have called her back over she
passed ten times.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
I didn't want to do that.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Social media connect, we read and.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
See every single thing that rolls in and it's a
lot lately, So just get right to it. Ronda and
Trace and Joseph have comments for you, Sam about you
being a little scared and nervous to go to the
shelter to find your new best friend. Yeah, because you
want to take them all home.
Speaker 5 (23:22):
I want to take them all home, or it's going
to make me sad that I can't take them all home.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
But you are looking for your new best friend. Yeah,
a new dog godoc. Okay, I'm so glad everybody jumped
in on this so I don't have to be the one.
Ronda says. It is hard. I walk the dogs in
my local shelter. When I leave, I sit in my
car sometimes and shed a little tear. Yeah, I would
take them all if I could. But seriously, go walk
a few and you can tell how they react to you.
(23:46):
Thank you for that, Ronda Trace said Sam. Go to
one of the shelters where they let the dog pick
their owners.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
Oh, and I see that would be.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Have you seen that? Is that is viral on social media? Murphy?
It is beautiful. A group of people sitting in a room,
ten people, five people, even twenty, and you're there. You
want a new best friend. And the dogs, A few
dogs will one dog at a time will come and
whichever dog picks you, that's what you get, and that's
what you adopt. I mean, as long as it works out.
(24:16):
It's the greatest thing to watch.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
That was really sweet. Watch this as many times as
you and I have done adoptions and fostered and all that, Jody,
over the years, I don't know that we ever had
a dog pick us.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
I only had one that ever picked me, and he
was my foster dog and we and his mister Bates,
Oh he did. Joseph said this, going to a shelter
is usually a good idea to meet these animals firsthand.
But remember, don't initially judge a dog's behavior at the shelter.
So true, usually they have limited space. They get overly
(24:47):
excited just to be out of their enclosement. So you know,
they sometimes they bark a lot in the shelter. Let
them go, spend time, walk the same dog more than
one time, see how they do.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
They also wind up sometimes shutting down. And so we've
had dogs like that that had no appear to have
no personality, but they just didn't like being in the shelter.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Right once they got into a routine.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
It came to life. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Yeah, just a lot of encouragement before you saying that's coming.

Everybody's marveling at how he nailed it. He said he
spent hours studying congressional testimony until his eyes fell out.

out with his friends like Bradley Cooper. At lunch he
was Mark Zuckerberg Number one. The trailer dropped for Verity,
the Colleen Hoover best selling novel that's now going to

Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett, and it is trippy.

and you have responded. Marissa said, it's like a dog
and pony show. As an elective teacher, it feels like
we're on display and we're being measured up. Who's the coolest,

whose class is the funniest, who can dazzle everyone the best.
It's just a lot of pressure, that's Marissa. Yeah, because parents,
you know, it's the first time I ever realized that
when we were sitting in the little desks, when our
kids were in like first grade and we're at open
house and I was. I ended up talking to one
of the teachers the next day and she was like,
so glad that's over. And I was like, why I thought,

I said I it was awesome. She was like, I'm
so nervous. I never thought a lot of parents don't
realize it's difficult for you teachers.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Well, it is a Our skill set is working one
on one with kids. Not everybody is comfort addressing a
crowd like that. I completely understand respect that.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
I never thought of it that way.
Speaker 5 (29:04):
Melody says just that exact thing, because talking in front
of the kids is nothing talking to a group of adults.
And the emotor she has is.

Like, ah, yeah, I hear you, I hear you.

Carrie says, it's like opening night of a Broadway production.
You got to give your all to a new group
of students while doing a curtain call for those who
you've had before. I just want to say, hi, Yeah,
thirty years and I still get butterflies. But that's a
great way to describe it is.

The teachers are a good storytelling.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Well, because you know, even though it's because again, parents
naturally want to go, I'm such a such kid app
right after and you especially when they're running it like
a school day where there's not enough room to have
a conversation. Yeah, because that's really what you're one on
one should be for. Yeah, but they still try to accommodate.
They know that, I mean, they know that even though
parents shouldn't do that, they're going to do that. So

Another thought that I wanted to just say every time,
every single time we ever went to open house, I
never felt like I was judging a teacher for the
way they were behaving or what they were saying. I was, honestly,
my head was is this where she sits?

Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
It was like I was in my child's body, thinking
this is what her day is like.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
I just like seeing like, oh look there's this pencil box.

Yeah, I can tell you where my head was, especially
you know, elementary middle school, literally trying to get out
of the desk and walk. The desk would get up
with me.
